- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 2: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy, I'm
- 0:28Speaker 2: a former Hallmark hater. On today's very special episode, we're
- 0:31Speaker 2: reviewing the Hallmark Christmas movie Snowbride from two thy thirteen.
- 0:37Speaker 2: After our conversation with Jack's Collier last week. We were
- 0:39Speaker 2: so intrigued when she said this is a movie that
- 0:42Speaker 2: she rides hard for that we had to give this
- 0:44Speaker 2: movie a watch and see for ourselves. If you'd like
- 0:47Speaker 2: to give it a watch, it is streaming on Hallmark Plus.
- 0:51Speaker 2: If you want to keep up with us, we would

- 1:35Speaker 2: a little gift as we head into the pre holiday season.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Treat yourself.
- 1:39Speaker 1: That is right.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Let's hear a synopsis for Snowbride. With the promise of
- 1:45Speaker 2: a promotion hanging in the balance, a tabloid reporter races
- 1:49Speaker 2: to find juicy gossip an influential political family. Her cynical
- 1:54Speaker 2: opinion of them changes, however, when she inadvertently ends up
- 1:58Speaker 2: spending the week reading up to Christmas with them and
- 2:01Speaker 2: starts falling for one of the suns. Woof It's long,
- 2:05Speaker 2: It was long. Snowbride was directed by Burt Kish, a
- 2:08Speaker 2: Canadian director, editor, and producer with a solid track record
- 2:11Speaker 2: in both television and film. Over the course of his career,
- 2:14Speaker 2: he directed eleven projects, including movies like Stranded in Paradise,
- 2:19Speaker 2: Holiday Switch, and The Haunting of Sorority Row. Bert passed
- 2:23Speaker 2: away in twenty seventeen, but his work continues to be
- 2:25Speaker 2: part of the Hallmark lineup fans enjoy.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Year after year.
- 2:31Speaker 2: The script for Snowbride was written by Tracy Andrene, who
- 2:35Speaker 2: has an impressive thirty five writing credits to her name.
- 2:39Speaker 2: She's behind recent Hallmark hits like Holiday Crashers and the
- 2:42Speaker 2: Magic of Lemon Drops, but also some deeper cuts like
- 2:45Speaker 2: Love of Course and the Hallmark adjacent cult favorite The
- 2:48Speaker 2: Spirit of Christmas. If you haven't listened to our review
- 2:51Speaker 2: of the Spirit of Christmas, we encourage you to watch
- 2:53Speaker 2: that movie. It is a lifetime movie and give that
- 2:56Speaker 2: review a listen. In my opinion, that is a must
- 2:59Speaker 2: watch holiday movie. Katrina Lost stars as Greta. She's likely
- 3:03Speaker 2: best known for her TV work, including her role on NCIS,
- 3:06Speaker 2: where she's appeared in more than seventy episodes, as well
- 3:09Speaker 2: as Hawaii Io and Magnum Pi. Hallmark fans may also
- 3:13Speaker 2: recognize her from Christmas with the Darlings.
- 3:15Speaker 1: From twenty twenty.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Question for you, did Christmas with the Darlings immediately begin
- 3:19Speaker 2: playing after you watched this movie?
- 3:21Speaker 1: It did not.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I was the credits role that I was writing down
- 3:25Speaker 2: notes and then Kristina Law was right back on my screen.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I don't think it did, but it that is interesting
- 3:30Speaker 2: because the next I mean, good on you. Hallmark Plus
- 3:33Speaker 2: The next movie up was something with I think Jared
- 3:38Speaker 2: Belfhi is it bell Phi Belfi?
- 3:40Speaker 1: What would you say? His name is bell Phi Belfie.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I you know it was fifty to fifty.
- 3:46Speaker 2: That does not help me flip a coin, Jordan Belfie,
- 3:50Speaker 2: That's what I would have done. Please been with ninety
- 3:52Speaker 2: one acting credits, Jordan's popped up and everything from All
- 3:55Speaker 2: American and The Good Doctor to Scandal Anne Castle Bride
- 4:00Speaker 2: looks to be his most recent and possibly only Homemark
- 4:03Speaker 2: movie appearance. It's been a minute, Jordan belfy Pie. Patricia
- 4:07Speaker 2: Richardson plays matriarch Maggie Tannehill. She's best known for her
- 4:10Speaker 2: iconic role as Jill Taylor on the Hits Thatcom Home
- 4:14Speaker 2: Improvement with fifty three acting credits. Patricia has also appeared
- 4:17Speaker 2: in shows like The West Wing, Strong Medicine, and Last
- 4:20Speaker 2: Man's Standing. Hallmark fans might also remember her from Chance
- 4:24Speaker 2: at Romance, which aired in twenty fourteen. Which character does
- 4:28Speaker 2: she play on The West Wings. That's a great question.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I was trying to think of that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: She's had a lot of episodes. I'm shocked. Come on,
- 4:35Speaker 1: for someone who.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Has watched that series over and over multiple times. I'm
- 4:39Speaker 2: shocked that you can't remember the character she played. Was
- 4:42Speaker 2: shocked that me memory of a goldfish doesn't remember a
- 4:44Speaker 2: single actor's name, since he're going, you know, the one
- 4:47Speaker 2: doesn't know who she is she played? Okay, she brooks
- 4:52Speaker 2: Senator Arnold Vinnick, who was played by Alan Alda's chief
- 4:56Speaker 2: of staff in season six and seven. Now that you've
- 4:59Speaker 2: said that, yes, I you remember her, but she is
- 5:02Speaker 2: on the other team. Oh but yeah, she's great. But
- 5:07Speaker 2: look to me, the West Wing is like seasons one
- 5:11Speaker 2: through four, and like seasons five through seven are like
- 5:14Speaker 2: the later years because they're not written by the creator.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Oh it's like a Gilmore Girls situation. Or season seven
- 5:19Speaker 2: wasn't written by the creator, and so everybody said it
- 5:22Speaker 2: was the lost season, the lost season. So is the
- 5:25Speaker 2: West Wing like that as well? There's In my opinion,
- 5:29Speaker 2: the show is good all the way through, but the
- 5:31Speaker 2: first core four seasons are the best, and then when
- 5:35Speaker 2: Aaron Sorkin is no longer show running, it's a little
- 5:38Speaker 2: bit different.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Gotcha. Gotcha.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Susie abromy It plays Claire. With fifty six acting credits,
- 5:46Speaker 2: she has built an impressive resume across film and television
- 5:50Speaker 2: As for Hallmark, it looks like she's only appeared in
- 5:53Speaker 2: two titles, Snowbride and the twenty sixteen movie A Perfect Christmas.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Bobby Campo plays brother Jared. He's worked steadily in both
- 6:00Speaker 2: film and television about Hallmark. Fans may know him from
- 6:03Speaker 2: My Christmas Love in twenty sixteen and Sharing Christmas in
- 6:06Speaker 2: twenty seventeen. It's funny a lot of these actors have
- 6:09Speaker 2: only appeared in Hallmark movies, like during this really short
- 6:13Speaker 2: kind of time frame.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And then they moved on years. Yeah.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Robert Curtis Brown plays Peters with an impressive one hundred
- 6:21Speaker 2: and seventy eight acting credits. His resume spans a wide
- 6:24Speaker 2: range of projects, from Grayson Frankie to CSI and The
- 6:28Speaker 2: Handmaid's Tale. Snowbride appears to be his most recent Hallmark appearance.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Tom Blank plays rival tabloid reporter Wes with ninety acting credits.
- 6:37Speaker 2: He's kept busy with roles in a variety of comedies,
- 6:40Speaker 2: including Fresh Off the Boat and Working Mom's Dan and
- 6:43Speaker 2: Barron plays Greta's friend Doria. You might recognize her as
- 6:46Speaker 2: I recognize her as Nicky Brandon Walsh's girlfriend on Beverly
- 6:50Speaker 2: Hills nine O two one O. She also played the
- 6:52Speaker 2: original Audrey Griswold in the nineteen eighty three classic National
- 6:56Speaker 2: Lampoons Vacation Nicki, who tells Rosie O'Donnell that you, yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 2: she and Brandon are.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Doing it on national television.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, you're right wild. George Weiner takes on
- 7:08Speaker 2: the role of Greta's boss Lou with an impression of
- 7:10Speaker 2: two hundred and fifteen acting credits spanning film and television.
- 7:13Speaker 2: He's best recognized for his work in Spaceballs. We're going
- 7:16Speaker 2: to take a quick break and we'll be right back
- 7:18Speaker 2: to share our first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what was your
- 7:30Speaker 2: first impression of Snowbride. Snowbride is giving tweed, blazers, horse stables,
- 7:35Speaker 2: and the polo bar, basically my Ralph Lauren daydream in
- 7:38Speaker 2: a Hallmark movie. Did you love when Ben like layered
- 7:43Speaker 2: that sweater over that flannel, the collar was popped was great? Yeah?
- 7:47Speaker 2: I was into like the chocolate brown writing boots and like, yeah, yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 2: I'm moving super visually.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Into this movie.
- 7:56Speaker 2: My first impression is as soon as Ben said she
- 7:58Speaker 2: was not what she appeared to be about his ex Claire.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I could see the deception and conflict coming a mile away. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 2: let's talk what we liked about Snowbride. If I can
- 8:08Speaker 2: start in our interview with Jack's It was within the
- 8:13Speaker 2: Double Scoop movie review. If you didn't listen, she is
- 8:17Speaker 2: the one who recommended this movie. She said in that
- 8:20Speaker 2: interview that Snowbride is more calm than rom and.
- 8:24Speaker 1: She wasn't wrong.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I loved look early on when Greta when they're looking
- 8:32Speaker 2: at like the photographs because she's a tabloid reporter and
- 8:35Speaker 2: they're like, you know, being like sneaky pop. She wasn't
- 8:38Speaker 2: being sneaky paparazzi, but she was looking at paparazzi photos
- 8:41Speaker 2: and they like turn the photo and her and her
- 8:44Speaker 2: sism both go. And I just was like, that's funny,
- 8:48Speaker 2: like stupid kind of humor. That is like small humor,
- 8:52Speaker 2: Like that really makes me laugh. Yeah, and I appreciate
- 8:57Speaker 2: it and enjoyed it a lot.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Well.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Another thing Ja said in that interview is that the
- 9:01Speaker 2: acting in this movie what's funny is she was like
- 9:04Speaker 2: the acting in this movie, and I was expecting a
- 9:06Speaker 2: different ending of that sentence, but she was like, is
- 9:08Speaker 2: great I fully agree. The acting in this movie is
- 9:11Speaker 2: great for a twenty thirteen Hallmark movie. I was not
- 9:16Speaker 2: expecting this is so fun, so watchable. I wondered. I
- 9:23Speaker 2: wondered how the Hallmark viewer of twenty thirteen took this movie.
- 9:30Speaker 1: How was it received? Yeah? Did they hate it? Was
- 9:33Speaker 1: it too edgy for them? Ooh edgy?
- 9:36Speaker 2: I mean it's not edgy at all, but I feel
- 9:39Speaker 2: like so classically Hallmark, like fake dating.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Oh reception for sure, over the top villain.
- 9:45Speaker 2: But there were some jokes that I thought were not
- 9:50Speaker 2: really jokes, but there were. There was a line, an
- 9:53Speaker 2: undertone if you will, that felt edgier.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Maybe I'm wrong. I would love to hear it.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Let me hear from the Hallmark purists who knows this
- 10:05Speaker 2: movie and is like, ugh, that's garbage because it was
- 10:09Speaker 2: too Someone emailed us immediately after hearing our episode and
- 10:13Speaker 2: was like, please write is so great?
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, please review this movie.
- 10:16Speaker 2: So at least one person this is team Jackson wild
- 10:19Speaker 2: to me that we have never heard of this movie
- 10:22Speaker 2: before four days ago?
- 10:25Speaker 1: Well is that true?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Or is there just a barrage of Hallmark movies and
- 10:29Speaker 2: we cannot possibly internalize them all?
- 10:31Speaker 1: I don't know some.
- 10:33Speaker 2: There are some listeners who are always in the dms
- 10:36Speaker 2: or the emails who are.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Like, please please please please.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Review this movie one summer Hi, Paula. Yeah, is this
- 10:43Speaker 2: a lesser known maybe pleaser loved movie? Who maybe he knows?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Can I also say, in the same vein of the comedy,
- 10:51Speaker 2: I loved the silliness of rival reporter Wes a little
- 10:57Speaker 2: bit goofy, a little bit kind of like this anoint
- 11:01Speaker 2: gnat that is real, a real thorn.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And Greta's side, Yeah, I think I told you that.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I somehow came across the paparazzi on TikTok and this
- 11:11Speaker 2: woman is trying to get the scoop on who the
- 11:14Speaker 2: latest Dancing with the Stars stars are and she is
- 11:19Speaker 2: at the lot. I don't know how she gets in.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Maybe the lot area is public, I don't know. As
- 11:24Speaker 2: the stars are arriving and they have this whole have
- 11:26Speaker 2: you ever seen any of the videos of this. The
- 11:28Speaker 2: stars arriving, They're all wearing like these full face visors,
- 11:32Speaker 2: and then the production assistants have these giant black umbrellas
- 11:36Speaker 2: that they hold in front of the cameras and she's
- 11:38Speaker 2: like trying to it just gave me those vibes of
- 11:40Speaker 2: like trying to get the scoop, especially when he like
- 11:43Speaker 2: swoops in with his camera while they're proposing. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 2: didn't nobody see that happen. Can we talk for a
- 11:50Speaker 2: second about Dancing with the Stars? Oh yeah, I am convinced.
- 11:53Speaker 2: If you're not following us on Instagram, I shared last week,
- 11:58Speaker 2: it was rumored that Victors might be a participant on
- 12:02Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars this season. Then yesterday he puts
- 12:06Speaker 2: out kind of a cryptic story on his Instagram of
- 12:09Speaker 2: what basically looks like a pool of sweat that is
- 12:12Speaker 2: gathering on the floor.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Of a potential dance studio. That's what it looked like
- 12:17Speaker 1: to me. Now, after you told me that, I did
- 12:20Speaker 1: a little googling.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Do you know that Victor put it out into the
- 12:23Speaker 2: world that he was open to doing Dancing with the
- 12:25Speaker 2: Stars in June.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Of this year. I did not.
- 12:28Speaker 2: He was asked about it, and apparently his niece is
- 12:31Speaker 2: a huge fan is always asking him to go on
- 12:33Speaker 2: the show, so he had said, yeah, I would. There's
- 12:36Speaker 2: several articles that he had said I would do it
- 12:38Speaker 2: for her. I mean, he could be trolley nus right now.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Totally and I would be so disappointed because I really
- 12:45Speaker 2: want to see da chad On Dancing with the Stars. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 2: he did some dancing in the very recent Hannah Swinson.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I would like to see him too. My concern is
- 12:59Speaker 2: that we have so many social media sensations in this season.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I know, Europe against Alex Earl and the Mormon Wives. M.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Good luck, Charlie.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I know, we gotta rally that the
- 13:12Speaker 2: Hallwark troops.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I know.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Here's something I liked as Southern California lady. I like
- 13:18Speaker 2: the the Big Bear setting. M. Yeah that makes sense, right, Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 2: I was like, that's fun, and yeah, she's an LA girl.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They go to Big Bear. But here's what I really loved.
- 13:29Speaker 1: The caretaker's cabin m M.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Either someone is so tuned in with what these little
- 13:37Speaker 2: mountain rental homes look like, or they rented the perfect
- 13:41Speaker 2: home because it was so perfectly kitchy. When she's rummaging
- 13:47Speaker 2: through the house looking for the wedding dress, she like
- 13:49Speaker 2: swipes away a curtain covering a cabinet and there's like
- 13:53Speaker 2: a stack of old like board games. They're not it's
- 13:54Speaker 2: not perfectly curated. It's like kind of old dingy board games. Yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 2: and she opens a closet and it's exactly what you
- 13:59Speaker 2: would see in like a cabin. It was either perfectly
- 14:03Speaker 2: dressed as a set or they just got very lucky
- 14:06Speaker 2: with this rental house. I was like, that is a
- 14:08Speaker 2: little mountain house if I ever did see one. Oh,
- 14:11Speaker 2: I didn't really notice those. But that's a good take.
- 14:16Speaker 2: You mentioned it earlier. But give me all the fake
- 14:18Speaker 2: dating tropes. When we get to this part in the
- 14:21Speaker 2: movie where they're like, Okay, let's pretend.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I was like, yes, like the favorite.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I was like, wow, have I become this person? Like,
- 14:30Speaker 2: but this is my favorite? I was so excited and
- 14:34Speaker 2: Peters and he's like, so fake dating. I love that
- 14:38Speaker 2: scene when she just full out confesses to Peters that
- 14:41Speaker 2: that's what their scheme is.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Loved it, loved it, loved it.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Did you love the mid movie Kiss under the Mistletoe?
- 14:49Speaker 1: I did? That was great. I mean for twenty thirteen.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Whoa, I'm telling you, edgy, edgy. I also story wise
- 14:57Speaker 2: really like this story. I'm sure there are similar Hallmark movies.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I don't can't name one right now, where like an
- 15:03Speaker 2: undercover reporter falls in love with somebody they're investigating, Like,
- 15:07Speaker 2: I'm that feels very tropy. But I isn't that the
- 15:10Speaker 2: premise of The Christmas Prince not a Hallmark movie but
- 15:13Speaker 2: a Netflix movie that like she goes there you think
- 15:17Speaker 2: I watched that, and no, you did it and becomes
- 15:19Speaker 2: the nanny.
- 15:20Speaker 1: But she's actually a reporter. I think that's the premise.
- 15:23Speaker 1: M I don't know what I liked about it.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I kind of like the political family drama of it all.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I just thought, not that it felt fresh, but I
- 15:32Speaker 2: was like, this.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Is an interesting take.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I guess it could be like it
- 15:37Speaker 2: could be easily swapped out for like Royal Family totally,
- 15:41Speaker 2: you know, but I like the whole Americana of it all.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm speaking of Royal Family.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I felt like Greta was giving Megan Markle in the
- 15:49Speaker 2: holiday party scene. She has, first of all, she has
- 15:53Speaker 2: these beautiful freckles, and her makeup is really understated, like
- 15:57Speaker 2: just not wearing a bold lip. She looks gorge the
- 16:00Speaker 2: dress she was wearing, the hair, I was like, oh,
- 16:03Speaker 2: you are giving me Megan Markle vibes in the best way.
- 16:06Speaker 2: And I have one more like and that is I
- 16:08Speaker 2: don't always feel this way, but I think Snowbride is a.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Perfect title for this movie.
- 16:13Speaker 2: At first, I thought it was so cute, and men
- 16:15Speaker 2: comes in here and he's like, hey, Snowbride. But it
- 16:17Speaker 2: was so cute, and then it makes perfect sense. I
- 16:19Speaker 2: just thought it was great. I have a few more
- 16:23Speaker 2: little likes. Back to Katrina Law. I really liked her.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Why are you not on Hallmark more? I know you're
- 16:28Speaker 2: busy with like Ncis and whatever. I really liked about her,
- 16:33Speaker 2: and you touched on it is. I like her look, yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 2: and I think her look is unlike many of the
- 16:40Speaker 2: Hallmark actresses we see currently on our screen. So I
- 16:45Speaker 2: was like, give me more of that.
- 16:47Speaker 1: There were hair. I was in love with her hair. Yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I thought a good actor too. She is a good actor.
- 16:54Speaker 1: It was she could do.
- 16:56Speaker 2: The comedy and like the romantic stuff.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I just liked it all. I also really liked.
- 17:03Speaker 2: And I I'm butchering her last name again, Susie Claire
- 17:07Speaker 2: Claire straight up Jake crue Villain.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I loved it. And finally, I.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Really enjoyed Patricia Richardson's kind of scary but also low
- 17:17Speaker 2: key boss babe.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Yes, it's super warm too.
- 17:21Speaker 2: That's what my notes say. There's something very smooth about
- 17:24Speaker 2: her delivery of the dialogue which made me feel like, oh,
- 17:27Speaker 2: she's a safe space. Yeah yeah, I five stars. I
- 17:31Speaker 2: really really really enjoyed her in this.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Well what'd you wish for? I have very few?
- 17:36Speaker 2: Okay, I thought they gave Ben Jordan Belfie Bellfid Hallmark
- 17:42Speaker 2: eyearbook treatment. Not super like, there's no smolder there. He
- 17:48Speaker 2: just it was like, I'm a good politician, guy who
- 17:51Speaker 2: wants two dreams of being a writer.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I just a little boring.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Maybe maybe my Hamemark movies. I mean you hear I
- 18:03Speaker 2: just talked about Wowie Zowie Webster like, I kind of
- 18:06Speaker 2: like the you want a bit of a smolder, a
- 18:09Speaker 2: little of a bit of a bad boy?
- 18:11Speaker 1: I do, I do? I do.
- 18:14Speaker 2: My other wish is I hated Greta's boss so very much.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Way to be one of the shittiest human beings alive. Seriously,
- 18:20Speaker 2: we just had this talk in our review of Double
- 18:23Speaker 2: Scoop when we're like, are their bosses really like that?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Who are so?
- 18:27Speaker 2: Canivy yea?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yeah? Apparently so.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Evidently the magazine's going online and we need to launch
- 18:33Speaker 2: with a bang. I was like, wow, twenty thirteen coming
- 18:36Speaker 2: in hot Okay. As much as I love the fake
- 18:39Speaker 2: dating trope, when I don't always love is deception upon
- 18:42Speaker 2: deception upon deception. But I had many opportunities to come clean.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I understand that doesn't make for a good movie, but
- 18:47Speaker 2: I was like, come come on, here's your moment. Like
- 18:49Speaker 2: the next morning. All she had to do was be like,
- 18:51Speaker 2: here's the deal. Obviously it doesn't give her the chance
- 18:54Speaker 2: to follow through and get the scoop, but she was
- 18:57Speaker 2: never gonna do that, right, I mean it was clear
- 19:00Speaker 2: immediately when she agrees to the fake dating plot that
- 19:03Speaker 2: she's already team Ben.
- 19:05Speaker 1: She's not team I'm gonna get the story, Claire.
- 19:11Speaker 2: This is a super villain if I've ever seen right,
- 19:13Speaker 2: she stated both brothers and made a play for the dad.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that is a lot EDGI.
- 19:19Speaker 2: For what is maybe like almost a little too much
- 19:24Speaker 2: to be believable, Like is she is there someone who
- 19:27Speaker 2: really would go this far and not even so much?
- 19:30Speaker 1: Is there someone who would go this far? You know?
- 19:32Speaker 1: She made a play for the dad, all right?
- 19:34Speaker 2: Then she goes right Pete, then she goes for Ben,
- 19:38Speaker 2: Then she goes for Jared. Jared's like, what, I have
- 19:42Speaker 2: a little self respect man at some point, well, this
- 19:45Speaker 2: is like thank god the mom like can see what's
- 19:49Speaker 2: happening here, you know what I mean. But when they
- 19:52Speaker 2: said this stuff about like making the play for the dad,
- 19:54Speaker 2: I was like, wait, what did I just hear?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Really took me aback?
- 19:59Speaker 2: I couldn't believe. Yes, super villain j crue, super villain. Yeah.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And this is another one where where to your point,
- 20:08Speaker 2: Greta's like telling her boss that story isn't true about
- 20:11Speaker 2: her having the affair, and he's like, it doesn't matter,
- 20:12Speaker 2: doesn't matter, We're gonna tell it anyway.
- 20:14Speaker 1: He's like, that's gross.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Hey, Doria, just say no to wearing a dress that
- 20:19Speaker 2: everybody in the family had to wear. Just say no,
- 20:22Speaker 2: that's an ugly dress.
- 20:24Speaker 1: And it's your day.
- 20:24Speaker 2: You should wear what you want to wear. You can
- 20:27Speaker 2: honor his family in other ways. I did like the
- 20:30Speaker 2: dress after they yeah, we made at her. I'm shocked
- 20:34Speaker 2: you didn't say this. The hyjiinks at the beginning are
- 20:37Speaker 2: so off the charts. The car crash, putting on the
- 20:39Speaker 2: wedding dress to warm up, tumbling down the hill, lying
- 20:41Speaker 2: in the absolute carpet of snow. Did you see when
- 20:44Speaker 2: he goes to pick her up.
- 20:45Speaker 1: It's in my did you say that?
- 20:47Speaker 2: Okay, not that part. The hijienks didn't bother me.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It didn't bother me. Okay.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I'm like, she is this single woman stuck in snow.
- 20:56Speaker 1: What are you to do?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Have three brain cells and don't drive to the mountains
- 21:01Speaker 2: in December wearing a tank top in shorts. Well, see,
- 21:04Speaker 2: that's why people who don't live in southern California realize,
- 21:08Speaker 2: is that you can wear tank top and shorts in
- 21:11Speaker 2: December in the city and then go up to the
- 21:13Speaker 2: mountains and be freezing cold. If you were at the gym,
- 21:16Speaker 2: and then she drives to the mountains, I just thought,
- 21:20Speaker 2: he's already there. You're already behind Run home and pack
- 21:23Speaker 2: a bag. Then we don't have the story.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Was that so funny?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Though? Who am I turning into? When she's stuck in
- 21:30Speaker 2: the parking lot and she's like, I'm trying to get out?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Loved it? I mean, who hasn't been there? Could not
- 21:34Speaker 1: see a.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Little too early for me, I'm like, it would have
- 21:36Speaker 2: been funnier just to keep it going with like a
- 21:38Speaker 2: twenty seven point turn. Loved it, Okay, let's talk digit
- 21:42Speaker 2: see that it's it's just one.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It's the straight up bubbles. They are bubbles, but she's
- 21:48Speaker 1: laying in the slot.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Lean onto her face, yes, and around her like bubbles
- 21:54Speaker 2: on the on the rocks. You know what's funny is
- 21:57Speaker 2: there's a couple of scenes like when she's driving, it
- 21:59Speaker 2: looks like actual slush around the tire, so yeah, that
- 22:02Speaker 2: looks like good snow. And then we got those bubbles.
- 22:04Speaker 2: And then when he reaches to pick her up, you
- 22:07Speaker 2: can tell that she's laying on basically a literal carpef
- 22:10Speaker 2: snow like because the whole thing moves goes. I have
- 22:14Speaker 2: a couple more digit see that's one. The movie poster.
- 22:17Speaker 2: The movie poster is so.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Much cheesier than the actual movie. The movie was great.
- 22:21Speaker 1: The movie poster. If I saw it, I'd be.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Like, oh.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Uh, the dog, I think his name is Broodie. It's
- 22:29Speaker 1: not his dog's name. I can't recall. It doesn't matter.
- 22:32Speaker 2: When Claire is exposing Greta, they cut to the dog
- 22:36Speaker 2: and he makes us like it's really funny. It's very
- 22:39Speaker 2: silly but funny. It's just straight up like cut to
- 22:42Speaker 2: the dog. Claire's name is Claire Sinclair. Her name is
- 22:46Speaker 2: Claire Sinclair. It tracks to me, it's it's it does
- 22:52Speaker 2: not does not not give like Polo Lounge, Let's Luthor.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yes, I love the.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Wedding dress, completely destroyed, ripped, and somehow all cleaned up
- 23:05Speaker 2: and wearable again.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Two more, girlfriend goes into she has no clothes. She
- 23:12Speaker 2: has no clothes, and she goes into town, presumably to
- 23:16Speaker 2: buy baking supplies and other provisions. Comes home with a
- 23:19Speaker 2: full wardrobe of like real cute winter clothes and boots.
- 23:23Speaker 2: A full wardrobe. And then later when Ben goes shopping
- 23:26Speaker 2: for her dress and her shoes, I'm guarantee you that
- 23:29Speaker 2: the bags that she brought home are the same bags
- 23:31Speaker 2: that Ben. Yeah, I don't care. I still love that
- 23:33Speaker 2: scene though. It gives pretty woman.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I'm yeah, I want you always dresses. Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Finally she orders a swathing, a latte and a gluten
- 23:41Speaker 2: free bagel in twenty thirteen.
- 23:44Speaker 1: That feels real progressive, pre almond and oatmel. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 1: all right, what did you rate this, snow Brille?
- 23:52Speaker 2: This is comfortably a four star movie for me too, really,
- 23:56Speaker 2: yeah exactly. Shout out Jacks for the recommendation.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I'll it was so fun.
- 24:01Speaker 2: My husband was working downstairs and When he came up.
