- 0:00Speaker 1: Now sevenor presents. No Mark Simon Shaw.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well, Don Lemon arrested, We'll get to that. There's a
- 0:10Speaker 2: new FED chairman, We'll get to that. Minnesota, the latest
- 0:13Speaker 2: Alex Credie, there's a shutdown battle going on right now,
- 0:18Speaker 2: the New Millennium movie, and lots to talk about Luigi Mangione.
- 0:23Speaker 2: All right, the good news is the big storm on
- 0:26Speaker 2: Sunday looks like it's gonna miss us, that big bomb
- 0:29Speaker 2: cyclone storm that was heading right for us. In some
- 0:33Speaker 2: of the weather models, it looks like as it stands
- 0:35Speaker 2: now and we're we're within the three days, which is
- 0:39Speaker 2: usually when the weather's very accurate, looks like it will
- 0:42Speaker 2: miss us. If you're in the end of Long Island,
- 0:45Speaker 2: the Hampton's Montuck, it's gonna hit you. You could get
- 0:48Speaker 2: three inches of snow and ferocious winds. And if you're
- 0:52Speaker 2: way up the Connecticut shore line you might get it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But Manhattan, Westchester, New Jersey, Connecticut, NASA most like you're
- 1:00Speaker 2: safe from any series. There should be no accumulation on Sunday.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That's the current forecast. So hey, Don Lemon has been arrested.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Now I'm looking at It's always good to go to Mediaite.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Mediaite is a left wing, very biased, very slanted, left
- 1:20Speaker 2: wing websites. Very good website, but very very slanted. And
- 1:24Speaker 2: let me look at all the different headlines. It's got
- 1:27Speaker 2: a political world rocked by stunning arrest of Don Lemon, terrifying.
- 1:34Speaker 2: CNN's Brian Selter says, Morning Joe warns Don Lemon's arrest
- 1:41Speaker 2: is what happens in authoritarian countries. Now, let's put out
- 1:46Speaker 2: just make clear the actual decision to indict Don Lemon
- 1:51Speaker 2: was not made by Donald Trump. It was not bade
- 1:53Speaker 2: by the Attorney General, it was not made by the
- 1:56Speaker 2: Deputy Attorney General, it was not made by anybody in
- 1:59Speaker 2: the Just This department. They decided they would present it
- 2:02Speaker 2: to a grand jury, and the grand juror is voted
- 2:06Speaker 2: to indict Don Lemon. Not the Trump people. A grand
- 2:10Speaker 2: jury looking at the evidence voted to indict Don Lemon.
- 2:14Speaker 2: He's charged with civil rights violations. And there's laws on
- 2:19Speaker 2: the books that you could argue, well, wait a minute's
- 2:23Speaker 2: the church. The doors are open. Anybody can walk into
- 2:26Speaker 2: that church. Yeah, that's true, but there's laws on the books.
- 2:29Speaker 2: The law is very specific. If you go into the church,
- 2:32Speaker 2: you can't do anything to interrupt the service. You can't
- 2:36Speaker 2: do anything to interrupt the service or anybody in there.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You can't do anything to intimidate them in any way.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And Don Lemon was part of this mob that went
- 2:45Speaker 2: in there trying to intimidate the hell out of everybody
- 2:47Speaker 2: in there, the worshippers, and to stop the service. Can't
- 2:53Speaker 2: it's a total violation of the law. There's a couple
- 2:56Speaker 2: of laws there that he's going to be charged with,
- 2:58Speaker 2: and one of them, well one of them is a
- 3:02Speaker 2: civil rights violation, and one of them is what they
- 3:06Speaker 2: used to call the klu Klux Klan Act, because that's
- 3:09Speaker 2: what the clan did way back when they would go
- 3:11Speaker 2: into black churches as a mob and yell and scream
- 3:15Speaker 2: and menace everybody and stop the service. Well that's what
- 3:17Speaker 2: happened here in Minneapolis. So when the Klan did that
- 3:21Speaker 2: all the time, that's when they passed this other law
- 3:24Speaker 2: to make that totally illegal. So Don Lemon will face
- 3:28Speaker 2: a couple of charges. He was arrested yesterday in Los Angeles.
- 3:33Speaker 2: He was there to cover the Grammys and that's when
- 3:37Speaker 2: they arrested him. Now I know Don Lemon when he
- 3:40Speaker 2: says cover the Grammys. That means go to the parties.
- 3:44Speaker 2: He was at all the parties. Actually, Don Lemon is
- 3:46Speaker 2: very close to Clive Davis, very very close friend to
- 3:49Speaker 2: Clive Davis's and Clive Davis is like the King of
- 3:52Speaker 2: the Grammys. His Grammy party is the most important event
- 3:55Speaker 2: of the whole week. So that's where Don Lemon was,
- 4:01Speaker 2: and they arrested him. I heard he spent a couple
- 4:03Speaker 2: of hours in jail on Los Angeles. He's hired Abby Lowell,
- 4:07Speaker 2: who's the big number one top Washington d C. Any
- 4:11Speaker 2: kind of problem with the government, that's the guy you hire.
- 4:14Speaker 2: That's who Hunter Biden hired, Abby Lowell. It's a guy
- 4:18Speaker 2: Abby Lowell representing him. So we'll see what happens next.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Now Lemon is in his statements already is claiming that
- 4:27Speaker 2: he was acting as a journalist. Now the problem is,
- 4:31Speaker 2: that's a hard case to make in court acting as
- 4:35Speaker 2: a journalist. He's not actually employed anywhere as a journalist.
- 4:41Speaker 2: He has no job as a journalist. He has been.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I guess what he did in the past. He's more
- 4:46Speaker 2: of an anchor talk show host. But I guess you
- 4:48Speaker 2: could call him a journalist in the past.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But he's not.
- 4:53Speaker 2: A journalist. He's an unemployed guy for a couple of years.
- 4:57Speaker 2: He has a Twitter thing, a Twitter feed. Guess I
- 5:00Speaker 2: think he has a sub stack. He maybe does a podcast,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but I don't know that that. I don't know that
- 5:04Speaker 2: qualifies you legally as a journalist. So we'll see what happens.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Also going into court today Luigi Mangione Friday today. It
- 5:15Speaker 2: was an attempted break out of prison yesterday, probably the
- 5:21Speaker 2: worst one ever attempted. A guy showed up at the
- 5:25Speaker 2: correctional center here in Manhattan claiming that he was an
- 5:29Speaker 2: FBI agent and he was there to pick up Luigi
- 5:31Speaker 2: Mangion and transfer him. They asked to see some identification.
- 5:37Speaker 2: The guy took out his driver's license, and I think
- 5:41Speaker 2: they explained him now, we meant FBI credentials, not a
- 5:44Speaker 2: driver's license. And then they frisked him and found a
- 5:48Speaker 2: wasn't a knife. It was a pizza cutter, you know
- 5:51Speaker 2: that round, the little round thing you cut the He
- 5:54Speaker 2: had a pizza cutter on him. Apparently he did work
- 5:59Speaker 2: at a pizza place. I guess he stole the cutter.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I don't know what he was planning to do with that,
- 6:04Speaker 2: but he's in jail now too, So the breakout attempt
- 6:08Speaker 2: didn't go well. Manjealone's going to argue all kinds of
- 6:10Speaker 2: things in court today. He's got a whole bunch of lawyers.
- 6:13Speaker 2: They'll argue that the arrest was illegal, unlawful. And then
- 6:16Speaker 2: when they arrested him in Pennsylvania, the McDonald's, some of
- 6:19Speaker 2: the evidence they took, they took illegal. I don't know
- 6:22Speaker 2: how he's gonna argue this even if you've got evidence
- 6:23Speaker 2: tossed out. The surveillance cameras on the street here in Manhattan.
- 6:28Speaker 2: One thing about Manhattan. Not other places don't have this,
- 6:30Speaker 2: but in Manhattan, every inch of the street has got
- 6:33Speaker 2: a surveillance camera on it, so you can see the
- 6:35Speaker 2: video of Mangione shooting the guy. So all this other stuff,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I don't think it'll come into play.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Now.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Tom Holman is still in Minnesota trying to calm things down,
- 6:48Speaker 2: doing a pretty good job of it. But you got
- 6:51Speaker 2: these crazy nut job agitators, Alex pretty who as soon
- 6:58Speaker 2: as it happened, you saw all these people all of
- 7:00Speaker 2: the airwaves making these speeches about what a gentle soul
- 7:04Speaker 2: he was, what a wonderful, tender human being he was.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Now that turned out to be a ridiculous thing to claim,
- 7:09Speaker 2: because we saw the videos of him two weeks ago,
- 7:13Speaker 2: totally out of control, raging like an absolute lunatic in
- 7:17Speaker 2: the street, yelling and screaming, and the ICE agents were
- 7:21Speaker 2: making an arrest. He got right in their face. And
- 7:23Speaker 2: then I can't play the audio for you because everything's
- 7:27Speaker 2: the F word, F you, you mother efforts, and he's
- 7:31Speaker 2: screaming right, he's spitting on them, screaming on assault me,
- 7:34Speaker 2: go ahead, assault me, you mother effort, just out of
- 7:38Speaker 2: control in a rage. And then they get in their car.
- 7:41Speaker 2: They were pretty good at just tolerating it. The Ice
- 7:45Speaker 2: agents didn't do anything. They got in their car, they're
- 7:47Speaker 2: going to driveway. He starts violently kicking the car really hard,
- 7:52Speaker 2: and one point kicked it so hard he not only
- 7:54Speaker 2: smashed the tail light, he took the entire tail light
- 7:57Speaker 2: section out of the car, leaving a hole in the
- 7:59Speaker 2: back of the car. Are so then the agent stopped,
- 8:03Speaker 2: tackled him to the ground, and I don't know why.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I guess they were just being very tolerant, trying to
- 8:08Speaker 2: de escalate it. I don't know why, but the agents
- 8:09Speaker 2: let him go They should have arrested him right then
- 8:12Speaker 2: and there. He committed a number of crimes right there.
- 8:15Speaker 2: He's a criminal. They should have arrested him. And had
- 8:18Speaker 2: he been arrested put in jail, maybe he'd still be
- 8:21Speaker 2: alive today, maybe wouldn't have been around to try it again.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So he's just I mean, what kind of lunatic. I mean,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you got to be a raging lunatic to do that.
- 8:32Speaker 2: If you were on the street and you saw a
- 8:34Speaker 2: bunch of police cars surrounding somebody and it looked like
- 8:38Speaker 2: they would arrest that guy, would you have the nerve
- 8:41Speaker 2: to go interfere with that?
- 8:44Speaker 3: I mean, it takes a lot of guts.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Let's say you wanted to go maybe maybe if you
- 8:48Speaker 2: had a lot of nerve, you'd go start yelling at them. Hey,
- 8:50Speaker 2: what the hell you didn't start yelling and taunting them
- 8:54Speaker 2: and yelling at that takes a hell of a lot
- 8:55Speaker 2: of nerve. But how much nerve does it take to
- 8:59Speaker 2: get right in their spit on the cops, pushed them,
- 9:02Speaker 2: call them every name in the world, and then start
- 9:05Speaker 2: damaging their vehicle, kicking the tail light out of their vehicle.
- 9:08Speaker 3: That takes a.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Hell of a lot of nerve. If you know what,
- 9:10Speaker 2: that's not even nerve. You got to be on something.
- 9:12Speaker 2: He must have been on some kind of drugs to
- 9:14Speaker 2: be that out of control, to be that deranged, just
- 9:18Speaker 2: absolutely insane.
- 9:19Speaker 3: This guy. So hey.
- 9:21Speaker 2: The other big news, Kevin Walsh is the new FED chairman.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Donald Trump had it down to a bunch of choices.
- 9:28Speaker 2: It was either going to be Treasury Secretary Scott Bessont,
- 9:32Speaker 2: but Bessant didn't want to move over there. Bessett wanted
- 9:35Speaker 2: to stay in the White House. And I think that's
- 9:37Speaker 2: a good idea. I think Bessant is the most valuable
- 9:39Speaker 2: of all these guys. Keep him in the White House,
- 9:41Speaker 2: keep his treasure secretary to me, much more important job
- 9:45Speaker 2: than FED chairman. Then there was Kevin Hassett, who's another great,
- 9:48Speaker 2: great guy, brilliant, gut perfect guy for FED chairman. But
- 9:51Speaker 2: he's in the White House, is Economic Council, and he's
- 9:55Speaker 2: very very very very valuable there. So they didn't want
- 9:58Speaker 2: to give him up. They wanted to keep him there.
- 10:00Speaker 2: The other choice was Kevin Walsh. Kevin Hassett, Kevin Walsh,
- 10:05Speaker 2: and they always said it would come down to the
- 10:06Speaker 2: two Kevins, and so it looked like it would be
- 10:10Speaker 2: Kevin Walsh, although at the last minute a new candidate emerged,
- 10:14Speaker 2: Rick Ryder suddenly was in the mix. Rick Ryder, who
- 10:18Speaker 2: nobody liked, and they looked at his donation history. Donated
- 10:22Speaker 2: to Pete Boota j Edge. He donated to Kamala Harris.
- 10:25Speaker 2: This is like another Jerome Powell. He wasn't even really
- 10:30Speaker 2: in the mix. He was being pushed by the Wall
- 10:32Speaker 2: Street guys, Black Rock, Larry Fink. They were the ones
- 10:35Speaker 2: pushing him, so it was more of just a courtesy
- 10:37Speaker 2: interview and all of that.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Then there was a.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Last minute candidate the last two days, Judy Shelton, who's
- 10:43Speaker 2: a great woman. I'll be perfect for that. Although it
- 10:48Speaker 2: ended up being Kevin Walsh. He'll be the new FED chairman.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Wall Street not that thrilled about it. The reaction so
- 10:54Speaker 2: far as the market is down over it. Some people
- 10:57Speaker 2: think he's too hawkish. When you're a FED chairman, hawkish
- 11:00Speaker 2: means you're you know, you're trying to increase rates, you're
- 11:04Speaker 2: trying to be too aggressive. But yeah, they spent a
- 11:08Speaker 2: lot of time, a lot of time talking to him.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Scott Bessont pushed him. This was Scott Bessont's final choice,
- 11:14Speaker 2: and he pushed it, which means he'll be responsible for
- 11:17Speaker 2: this if it goes bad. And Walsh he's a nice guy,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and he's a very very plugged in, well connected guy.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Everybody in his family father close to the president, his
- 11:28Speaker 2: father in law close to the president, his grandfather in
- 11:31Speaker 2: law very close to the president. So and he was
- 11:35Speaker 2: working like crazy to get the job, not just campaigning hard,
- 11:39Speaker 2: but everybody says behind the scenes, trying to sabotage the
- 11:42Speaker 2: other candidates, bad bouthing him to everybody. So he's the
- 11:45Speaker 2: new FED chairman. It should be announced later today. Expect
- 11:49Speaker 2: the President to make the announcement later. The Milania movie
- 11:54Speaker 2: had its big premiere last night in Washington, d C.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Fifteen hundred people Kennedy Center. Good Monica Crowley will be
- 12:01Speaker 2: with us later. Imagine she was there. She'll tell us
- 12:04Speaker 2: about it. Hey, President Trump somehow has gotten Putin to
- 12:09Speaker 2: agree to a cease fire in the Ukraine for one week,
- 12:14Speaker 2: just a one week ceasefire. He called him and somehow
- 12:16Speaker 2: got this done.
- 12:17Speaker 4: It really they said they've never experienced cold like that.
- 12:21Speaker 4: And I personally asked President Putin not the fire into
- 12:25Speaker 4: Kiev in the various towns for a week, and he
- 12:29Speaker 4: agreed to do that, and I have to tell you
- 12:31Speaker 4: it was very nice. A lot of people said, don't
- 12:33Speaker 4: waste the cold, you're not going to get that, and
- 12:35Speaker 4: he did it, and we're very happy that they did it.
- 12:37Speaker 3: All right, it's not much, but it's something.
- 12:40Speaker 2: You know, hundreds of people get killed a week there,
- 12:42Speaker 2: so they'll save a few hundred lives. Hey, they had
- 12:45Speaker 2: a cabinet meeting yesterday and President Trump it was different
- 12:50Speaker 2: this time. You know, the last few times they had
- 12:52Speaker 2: a cabinet meeting, the cameras are allowed in and the
- 12:55Speaker 2: press is allowed in there, and then he lets every
- 12:58Speaker 2: one of the cabinet members speak. But he didn't do
- 13:01Speaker 2: that this time. He didn't let them speak. And he
- 13:03Speaker 2: actually said, we're not going to go through all that
- 13:05Speaker 2: again because the last time we did it it lasted
- 13:07Speaker 2: three hours and I closed my eyes a few times
- 13:10Speaker 2: and they started making fun of me, thinking I was asleep,
- 13:12Speaker 2: and he said, look, it got pretty boring. The room
- 13:16Speaker 2: started to laugh. He said, I just closed them because
- 13:20Speaker 2: I wanted to get the hell out of there. He says,
- 13:24Speaker 2: I didn't sleep, I was just getting bored, which I
- 13:28Speaker 2: believe that's what. I don't know why he wants this job.
- 13:32Speaker 2: You know, this guy used to for the most fun.
- 13:34Speaker 2: He was in New York. It's a glamorous fun existence.
- 13:37Speaker 2: It was parties and celebrities. You'd be going to his office,
- 13:40Speaker 2: every movie stars coming in, comedian It'd be nothing but fun.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Now he's sitting in Washington, the president of Lithuania. Who
- 13:48Speaker 2: wants to talk to that guy? Cabinet meeting with all
- 13:50Speaker 2: these secretaries of this and that. Pretty boring stuff, but
- 13:55Speaker 2: it's what he wants to do now. In the cabinet meeting,
- 13:58Speaker 2: he did not call on Christy Nome, and they didn't
- 14:02Speaker 2: take questions from the press, and all the talking they
- 14:04Speaker 2: did not bring up Minnesota in any way. They talked
- 14:07Speaker 2: mostly about the economy and a good idea, you know,
- 14:13Speaker 2: Minnesota is The two shootings were horrible. In the case
- 14:18Speaker 2: of Pretty I still don't see why the shots were fired.
- 14:21Speaker 2: In the case of Renee Good, you can see why
- 14:23Speaker 2: the shots were fired. She did hit the guy with
- 14:25Speaker 2: his car with her car, and the first shot went
- 14:29Speaker 2: right through the front windshield, which means he was in
- 14:31Speaker 2: front of the car as it came at him, and
- 14:33Speaker 2: it did hit him. You can see that nativity is
- 14:35Speaker 2: but the pretty one you can't see that. I mean, they
- 14:37Speaker 2: should have just arrested the guy. He would have been
- 14:39Speaker 2: in jail for a very long time for that incident
- 14:43Speaker 2: and for the one two weeks ago we did damaged
- 14:46Speaker 2: the police car. Gallain Maxwell claims now that twenty five
- 14:52Speaker 2: of the Jeffrey Epstein accomplices, victims whatever you want to
- 14:55Speaker 2: call him, had made secret settlements with the the billionaire
- 15:01Speaker 2: of people that were there. So what that would mean
- 15:03Speaker 2: was that's why they were never in the mix, never
- 15:07Speaker 2: came forward, never testified. So it's an interesting point that
- 15:10Speaker 2: there'd be a lot of victims out there that never
- 15:13Speaker 2: came forward, never came close to talking to anybody in
- 15:16Speaker 2: law enforcement. They are going through the Epstein files. What's
- 15:19Speaker 2: taken so long, Well, you've got to go through and
- 15:23Speaker 2: read every page to make sure that there's no victim names,
- 15:27Speaker 2: you got to redact all that. You've got to read
- 15:29Speaker 2: five point two million pages. You know how long that
- 15:33Speaker 2: would take. Justice Department says they've assigned now four hundred
- 15:38Speaker 2: lawyers to this and they're working around the clock trying
- 15:41Speaker 2: to review all five point two million pages. Now, when
- 15:45Speaker 2: you get these pages, you're going to be very disappointed.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I mean, I've talked to a lot of people saw
- 15:50Speaker 2: most of this is coming from the Justice Department, the
- 15:54Speaker 2: US Attorney's Office Southern District. They're the ones that ran
- 15:56Speaker 2: the investigation. And if you talk to guys to put
- 16:00Speaker 2: all this together, they'll say, what's in these files. It's
- 16:03Speaker 2: basically just interviewed transcripts of interviews with witnesses. Some of
- 16:08Speaker 2: it true, some of it turned out not to be true.
- 16:10Speaker 2: You know, you get good witnesses, bad witnesses. But that's
- 16:13Speaker 2: what's in there. Hey, don't forget it was President Trump
- 16:16Speaker 2: and his Justice Department that arrested Epstein. It took place
- 16:19Speaker 2: in twenty nineteen. It was during the Trump administration. Epstein
- 16:24Speaker 2: got arrested and prosecuted. Hey, we'll take some calls in
- 16:27Speaker 2: a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
- 16:31Speaker 2: is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Did Mark on Demand by setting a presead for his
- 16:40Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio ass Now back to Mark Simone
- 16:45Speaker 1: on wor.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Hey, we got we got some open lines. I've never
- 16:50Speaker 2: seen that before. Call us eight hundred three two one
- 16:54Speaker 2: zero seven ten eight hundred three to two one zero
- 16:58Speaker 2: seven ten. Let's go to my in Florida.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Mike. How you doing, Good morning, Mark.
- 17:04Speaker 5: I was last night. I was watching a video on
- 17:07Speaker 5: YouTube with your old partner Steve Allen and Johnny Mercer
- 17:10Speaker 5: doing a medley of Alan would sing a song and
- 17:14Speaker 5: you'd say, well, Johnny, did you ever write a song
- 17:16Speaker 5: similar to that? It was very clever.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's great. Yeah, go on YouTube, great type
- 17:21Speaker 2: Steve Allen, Johnny Mercer. There's some amazing stuff, all those
- 17:25Speaker 2: old variety shows, all those great everything you've ever seen
- 17:28Speaker 2: on TV and you want to see again, it's on YouTube.
- 17:31Speaker 3: In fact, it's it's fabulous.
- 17:32Speaker 2: There's some nights I don't watch anything except YouTube all
- 17:35Speaker 2: night and it's addictive.
- 17:36Speaker 5: That's what I was doing last night, and I stumbled
- 17:38Speaker 5: on this and it got me to thinking about the
- 17:40Speaker 5: old am FM format. First of all, I wanted to
- 17:42Speaker 5: ask you if you have a work in the old
- 17:44Speaker 5: FM format, like your friend Jonathan Schwartz, who would do
- 17:47Speaker 5: sets sort of like that. You know, he played like
- 17:49Speaker 5: you know, you know, Black Sabbath and Frank Sinatra in
- 17:53Speaker 5: the same set, you know, back in the back in
- 17:55Speaker 5: the Yeah, I was on.
- 17:57Speaker 2: When I first came to New York, I was on
- 17:59Speaker 2: w p I XFM, which was a very hot, cutting
- 18:02Speaker 2: edge FM station back then, and we played all these
- 18:06Speaker 2: new artists nobody heard before, like the Police and that
- 18:09Speaker 2: kind of.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Stuff, all that hips stuff.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Mike, good call, thanks for colling. Let's
- 18:17Speaker 2: go to uh Marco in the Bronx Marco, How you doing?
- 18:22Speaker 6: Hey, Mark, how you doing, mister New York?
- 18:24Speaker 5: I'll call you okay?
- 18:26Speaker 6: Uh listen, these paid agitators, yes, just cum exposed. How
- 18:31Speaker 6: come it's not really nobody realizing maybe they get a
- 18:35Speaker 6: big five thousand dollars bonus if they're up in the
- 18:38Speaker 6: face of these these poor ice people. How could nobody
- 18:42Speaker 6: see that there's so many of them?
- 18:45Speaker 2: People see that it's under investigation. Hey, we revealed the name.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I was it Monday or Tuesday of the guy that's
- 18:52Speaker 2: the big funder of this, Neville Roy Singham. And I
- 18:55Speaker 2: noticed he's getting a lot of coverage today. It's starting
- 18:57Speaker 2: to come out about this guy and he is under investigation.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Now.
- 19:02Speaker 2: He's like a worse than George Soros kind of guy
- 19:04Speaker 2: because he's partners with the Chinese Communist government. The only
- 19:07Speaker 2: problem is he lives in Singapore, so it's very hard
- 19:10Speaker 2: to touch this guy. But what part of the Bronx
- 19:12Speaker 2: are you in Frog's neck? I'm a very nice part
- 19:17Speaker 2: of the Bronx. Excellent. You got that beautiful former Trump
- 19:21Speaker 2: golf course there, right, But now it's.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Something Oh what a shame they took that away?
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, thanks for calling. Let's go
- 19:28Speaker 3: to uh Claire in New Jersey. Claire, how you doing?
- 19:33Speaker 7: Oh hi, Mark. I'd like to say, by the way,
- 19:36Speaker 7: I'm a former nurse for a long time and one
- 19:40Speaker 7: of the nurses. The head of the protest stations there
- 19:43Speaker 7: is saying they don't want ice now in the hospitals.
- 19:47Speaker 7: They're protesting in allegiance to the r N that got
- 19:52Speaker 7: shot in Minneapolis. But I'd like to make a comment
- 19:55Speaker 7: as a former nurse, why wasn't there any protests and Riley,
- 20:00Speaker 7: who was a nursing student raped and murdered, nothing was said.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Well, that's the double standard Democrats are famous for. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 2: remember if pretty had been killed by an illegal alien,
- 20:11Speaker 2: you never would have heard it on the news. It
- 20:13Speaker 2: would have gotten there would have been no coverage of it.
- 20:16Speaker 2: But you're a nurse, did you did you ever smash
- 20:18Speaker 2: a police car, kick out the taillight?
- 20:21Speaker 8: You know what?
- 20:22Speaker 7: There was such respect, not only that I have family
- 20:25Speaker 7: in Minneapolis. It was a beautiful city at one time. Beautiful.
- 20:30Speaker 7: They've been there for the last forty years. It's a
- 20:33Speaker 7: disgrace now by a good point.
- 20:35Speaker 2: You remember Minneapolis was Mary Tyler Moore, Roda Phyllis. Now
- 20:40Speaker 2: look what happened to it? And they what is wrong
- 20:43Speaker 2: with these people in Minnesota? Look who they elect to office,
- 20:46Speaker 2: Al Franken, Tim Waltz, people like that. Let's go to
- 20:51Speaker 2: Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how are you doing?
- 20:53Speaker 3: Boy? More come good things?
- 20:55Speaker 6: Listen?
- 20:55Speaker 3: Speaking of Minnesota, if we.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Know that ilhan Omar really married her brother, just that alone?
- 21:01Speaker 3: Yes?
- 21:02Speaker 9: Is that not immigration fraud?
- 21:04Speaker 2: That's why that's why they're investigating her immigration status.
- 21:07Speaker 5: And but we all kind of know about it already.
- 21:09Speaker 3: You know you didn't hear me.
- 21:11Speaker 2: So it's currently under investigation as we speak. You never know,
- 21:15Speaker 2: they may end up deporting her. Let's go to Jim
- 21:18Speaker 2: and Nutley. Jim, how you doing.
- 21:20Speaker 10: I'm so sick and tired about these Epstein file uh
- 21:26Speaker 10: people coming out? What what's the big deal about this?
- 21:29Speaker 10: I mean, as far as as far as all these victims,
- 21:33Speaker 10: those girls knew just what they were getting into.
- 21:35Speaker 3: To me, well, a lot of them were underage and
- 21:38Speaker 3: some of them were not. A lot.
- 21:39Speaker 2: There were women of all ages with Epstein, but some
- 21:41Speaker 2: of them were underage and they didn't always know what
- 21:43Speaker 2: they were getting into.
- 21:45Speaker 10: I heard that some of those girls were recruiting other
- 21:47Speaker 10: girls to go listen.
- 21:50Speaker 2: There were all types of women. They're good ones, bad ones,
- 21:52Speaker 2: evil ones, nice ones. They didn't all choose that, some
- 21:56Speaker 2: of them. But the original point of the Epstein files
- 21:59Speaker 2: was to get Donald Trump, and fortunately it turned out
- 22:04Speaker 2: Donald Trump was the one guy that knew to stay
- 22:06Speaker 2: away from Epstein and got away from him. So it's
- 22:08Speaker 2: not gonna in any way damage Trump. It's going to
- 22:10Speaker 2: really kill the Clintons. It's no coincidence that they're refusing
- 22:15Speaker 2: to testify before Congress, refusing and defying a subpoena to
- 22:21Speaker 2: peer before Congress to talk about Epstein. So they really
- 22:25Speaker 2: really do not want to talk about this guy. So Hey,
- 22:28Speaker 2: when we come back, Monica Crowley will be with us.
- 22:31Speaker 2: She is the chief of Protocol for the United States
- 22:34Speaker 2: Special Ambassador. We got lots to talk to her about
- 22:37Speaker 2: she's right there in the middle of everything in DC.
- 22:40Speaker 2: We'll talk to her next on seven to ten. WR
- 22:43Speaker 2: Let's get back.
- 22:44Speaker 1: To the Mark Simone show on wor.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Well.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Monica Crowley is the I mean, an amazing, amazing person,
- 22:53Speaker 2: Chief of Protocol of the United States of America, ambassador
- 22:57Speaker 2: and our old friend, and it's good to have her.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Monica Crowley, how are you hi?
- 23:03Speaker 7: Mark?
- 23:03Speaker 8: It's always great to be with you.
- 23:05Speaker 9: How are you good?
- 23:06Speaker 2: I mean, but we knew you when you were you
- 23:08Speaker 2: were just Monica Crowley then, don't you well, I'm.
- 23:12Speaker 9: Still I'm still Monica Crowley.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Don't you miss the good old days just doing radio
- 23:17Speaker 2: and TV and having fun?
- 23:18Speaker 9: And well, No, first of all, I'm incredibly blessed to
- 23:27Speaker 9: serve this president and the American people in the country
- 23:31Speaker 9: I love. As Chief of Protocol of the United States.
- 23:34Speaker 9: It's such a blessing, Mark, it truly is. And I
- 23:38Speaker 9: am as witnessed by my being on your show this morning.
- 23:42Speaker 9: I am still doing radio and television. I'm just speaking
- 23:45Speaker 9: on behalf of the President and his agenda now rather
- 23:49Speaker 9: than speaking on my own behalf.
- 23:51Speaker 8: So I'm still doing it.
- 23:52Speaker 9: We've got huge events coming up, including America's two hundred
- 23:56Speaker 9: and fiftieth Birthday on July fourth, and I'm a huge
- 24:00Speaker 9: part of that, as well as the FIFA World Cup
- 24:03Speaker 9: and that final will be played at MetLife Stadium in
- 24:07Speaker 9: New Jersey on July nineteenth, and I'm a big part
- 24:10Speaker 9: of that too. So we've got a lot of exciting
- 24:12Speaker 9: things coming up in the country.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Now this is a big deal. It's the two
- 24:16Speaker 2: hundred and fiftieth Birthday of America. Events all this year
- 24:20Speaker 2: and now this will continue through the summer fourth of July,
- 24:24Speaker 2: or will continue the rest of the year.
- 24:27Speaker 9: Well, it is going to continue the rest of the
- 24:29Speaker 9: year mark Obviously, We've got a lot of big events
- 24:31Speaker 9: planned between now and July fourth, and then it's all
- 24:35Speaker 9: culminating on July fourth with a major address from the
- 24:39Speaker 9: President from the White House to the country and in
- 24:42Speaker 9: fact to the world. But leading up to it, we're
- 24:44Speaker 9: going to have events like the Great American State Fair,
- 24:48Speaker 9: which is going to take place on the Mall and
- 24:50Speaker 9: all fifty states will have their own pavilions, they'll all
- 24:54Speaker 9: be represented, So I encourage everybody in the spring and
- 24:57Speaker 9: early summer to come down for that. We're also going
- 25:00Speaker 9: to have a national Prayer event happening on the Mall
- 25:04Speaker 9: on May seventeenth, So please mark your calendars for that
- 25:08Speaker 9: because it really is a cornerstone to what we're doing
- 25:12Speaker 9: in the Trump administration and in terms of marking our
- 25:15Speaker 9: big national birthday, which is to try to bring the
- 25:19Speaker 9: country together, to unite the country in this grand, majestic
- 25:24Speaker 9: celebration of our country, but also to unite under prayer
- 25:29Speaker 9: and to unite the country under God, because after all,
- 25:32Speaker 9: we can't make America great again, we can't restore the
- 25:36Speaker 9: country unless we return to God.
- 25:39Speaker 8: So that is going to be a huge event.
- 25:40Speaker 9: And then of course we're going to have UFC to
- 25:43Speaker 9: fifty taking place on the South Lawn on the White
- 25:46Speaker 9: House June fourteenth, and that of course is Flag Day
- 25:51Speaker 9: and the President's big birthday.
- 25:53Speaker 8: That is going to be quite the event.
- 25:55Speaker 9: We have so many other things planned and for New
- 25:58Speaker 9: York centric I know we're on in WR New York.
- 26:03Speaker 9: New York is going to host an international Naval review
- 26:07Speaker 9: of tall ships and naval battleships and so on on
- 26:11Speaker 9: July third and launching on July fourth as well. So
- 26:15Speaker 9: the Tall Ships procession, which some of us might remember
- 26:19Speaker 9: from the bi centennial in nineteen seven, right, we're going
- 26:24Speaker 9: to do it all over again this year to celebrate
- 26:26Speaker 9: two fifty.
- 26:27Speaker 8: It's going to go up the Hudson River.
- 26:29Speaker 9: We have about I think about thirty five to forty
- 26:33Speaker 9: countries who have committed a tall ship to that parade.
- 26:37Speaker 9: So again, so many things, all culminating on July fourth
- 26:41Speaker 9: mark and then after July fourth, later in the summer,
- 26:45Speaker 9: we are going to have an incredible race around with
- 26:50Speaker 9: NASCAR Formula One Grand Prix in the US Capitol, which
- 26:55Speaker 9: is going to be incredible that I think is taking
- 26:57Speaker 9: place in August. Want to encourage everybody, if you want
- 27:01Speaker 9: to find out what's happening in New York or in
- 27:04Speaker 9: your community or nationally, please go to Freedom two fifty
- 27:08Speaker 9: dot org. Freedom two fifty dot org and the entire
- 27:13Speaker 9: calendar of events is all laid out there and you
- 27:16Speaker 9: can figure out how you can get involved in your community,
- 27:20Speaker 9: your state, and nationwide.
- 27:22Speaker 2: That's a good idea because right now we hate twenty
- 27:24Speaker 2: twenty six coups freezing to death. Here, we got snow,
- 27:26Speaker 2: we can't get rid. But forget this couple of weeks.
- 27:30Speaker 2: It's going to be a great year. One of the
- 27:32Speaker 2: biggest best years of our lifetime with all this stuff
- 27:35Speaker 2: going on.
- 27:36Speaker 9: Hey, you were Davos, right, I was, Yes, I was
- 27:40Speaker 9: with the President for that.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And a much better Davos this year without that Klaus
- 27:44Speaker 2: whatever his name, was running things much much better Davos.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I liked it this year well.
- 27:50Speaker 9: The World Economic Forum, which hosts DeVos every year in Davos, Switzerland,
- 27:55Speaker 9: is under new management Larry think of black Rock and
- 27:59Speaker 9: a few others, taken over from Claus Schwab. And of
- 28:02Speaker 9: course the big dog on the block is always President Trump,
- 28:06Speaker 9: and it's always the United States of America. And this
- 28:09Speaker 9: time around the dynamic was completely different. The last time
- 28:12Speaker 9: I was in Davos was January of twenty twenty, when
- 28:16Speaker 9: I served in the first Trump administration. It was after
- 28:20Speaker 9: you know, it was right as COVID was starting to
- 28:23Speaker 9: rip around the world from China, so the dynamic was
- 28:27Speaker 9: completely different, and.
- 28:28Speaker 8: Globalism was still on the march.
- 28:31Speaker 9: This time around, President has put his foot down on globalism.
- 28:34Speaker 9: This was an America first presentation by him and by
- 28:38Speaker 9: the US delegation, and it was just an incredible thing
- 28:42Speaker 9: to see. I mean, Davos has really changed, and I
- 28:45Speaker 9: think for the better. I think national sovereignty for America
- 28:49Speaker 9: and other countries around the world that is now on
- 28:52Speaker 9: the menu versus destructive globalism.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Oh that's good right now. Monica Crowley, the Milannia film, Big,
- 29:00Speaker 2: Big Documentary opens today in fifteen hundred theaters. You saw
- 29:04Speaker 2: the premiere of it. Tell us about the film, Yes.
- 29:07Speaker 9: Well, I was very fortunate to be invited to the
- 29:10Speaker 9: private screening at the White House last weekend, this very
- 29:14Speaker 9: small intimate group Queen Ranya of Jordan by Tyson Tony Robbins,
- 29:20Speaker 9: very small group, and I saw ben It was absolutely incredible.
- 29:25Speaker 9: It opens nationwide and globally today, and I encourage everybody
- 29:30Speaker 9: to go, get a ticket, be a part of history
- 29:32Speaker 9: and see this beautiful film because it really is a
- 29:35Speaker 9: behind the scenes view of the first Lady, the President,
- 29:40Speaker 9: their family in about twenty It covers about twenty days
- 29:44Speaker 9: leading up to and then immediately after the inauguration last year,
- 29:49Speaker 9: and it's just smart and it follows her and her philanthropy,
- 29:53Speaker 9: her businesses, her love of her country, her love of
- 29:57Speaker 9: her husband and her family. It shows she's some fashion,
- 30:01Speaker 9: there's some fun.
- 30:02Speaker 8: It's very funny in places as well.
- 30:04Speaker 9: It's a real inside look and I think everybody will
- 30:08Speaker 9: love it, so go get your ticket today.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yes, and a brilliant woman. You know, she speaks five
- 30:13Speaker 2: languages fluently. I can't even learn the second language. I'm
- 30:16Speaker 2: still don't work on he Nameligh five languages.
- 30:20Speaker 8: She really is underestimated. I think maybe she likes it
- 30:23Speaker 8: that way. But she is.
- 30:25Speaker 9: Brilliant in her own right, very very accomplished, and just
- 30:29Speaker 9: a beautiful woman inside and out.
- 30:32Speaker 8: And this is really her moment. You know.
- 30:34Speaker 9: Obviously President Trump is running country extremely well. I mean
- 30:39Speaker 9: I think he's going to go down as the goat
- 30:41Speaker 9: the greatest of all time, really doing an extraordinary job
- 30:44Speaker 9: as president. And I'm really leading not just the free world,
- 30:48Speaker 9: but leading the world.
- 30:50Speaker 8: This movie is her moment.
- 30:52Speaker 9: This is something special for her and she so deserves
- 30:55Speaker 9: it because she has been and continues to be an
- 30:59Speaker 9: extraordinary fla Monica Crowley.
- 31:02Speaker 2: One final thing, we got a new FED chairman nominated
- 31:05Speaker 2: picked Kevin Walsh.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Good guy. I think that's a good choice.
- 31:10Speaker 6: Yes, I do too.
- 31:11Speaker 9: And in the first Trump administration, I was very honored
- 31:13Speaker 9: to serve in the Treasury Department as assistant secretary, so
- 31:17Speaker 9: I know a lot of these issues. I dealt with
- 31:19Speaker 9: the FED very closely, particularly during the COVID era when
- 31:22Speaker 9: we were standing up all kinds of unprecedented programs to
- 31:27Speaker 9: save the American people and American businesses.
- 31:30Speaker 8: So I know a lot about the FED. I've dealt
- 31:31Speaker 8: with them.
- 31:32Speaker 9: I think Kevin Walsh is going to be an extraordinary
- 31:35Speaker 9: FED chairman. He really is, and he's going to partner
- 31:40Speaker 9: The FED is independent, of course, but the kinds of
- 31:43Speaker 9: policies I think you're going to see coming from the
- 31:46Speaker 9: FED in terms of maximum employment and interest rates, the
- 31:51Speaker 9: money supply, I think it is going to compliment what
- 31:54Speaker 9: the President is doing on the fiscal side. You are
- 31:57Speaker 9: going to see an economic boom under the Trump administration
- 32:02Speaker 9: that we have not seen since the first Trump administration,
- 32:05Speaker 9: only even better.
- 32:07Speaker 8: So get ready, buckle up. Thanks the boom coming at us.
- 32:10Speaker 2: I got a big year coming up. It's the two
- 32:12Speaker 2: hundred and fiftieth, the birthday of America. Give us the
- 32:14Speaker 2: website again anywhere you should go to.
- 32:16Speaker 9: Yes, it's Freedom two fifty dot org again. Freedom two
- 32:21Speaker 9: fifty dot org for everything you need to know about
- 32:23Speaker 9: America's big two hundred and fiftieth birthday party.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Well Manica Crowley great work if she's the Chief of
- 32:30Speaker 2: Protocol in the United States. Ambassador of Monica Crowley, thanks for.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Being with us.
- 32:35Speaker 9: Always a pleasure, Mark, Thank you, all right, take care.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's something two hundred and fifty years thing. A
- 32:41Speaker 2: lot of big events this year, so you may not
- 32:44Speaker 2: be thrilled with the year so far. This January is
- 32:47Speaker 2: not the best month. It was pretty bad, but you're
- 32:49Speaker 2: in store for an incredible year. Don't forget Buck and
- 32:52Speaker 2: Clay coming up at noon today. They do a great
- 32:54Speaker 2: show every day noon to three. Then you got the
- 32:57Speaker 2: most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannah three o'clock,
- 33:01Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly every day at every night at six, and
- 33:04Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, what a great show he does, funny, interesting
- 33:07Speaker 2: every night nine o'clock. Here on seven to ten WR sevenrs.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Mark Simone show continues. Now, all right.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Just checking the very latest forecast. Now the latest, and
- 33:25Speaker 2: we're pretty close to Sunday, so it's not likely to
- 33:27Speaker 2: change too much. The latest is we're not gonna get
- 33:29Speaker 2: hit with that snow storm on Sunday. It's what they
- 33:33Speaker 2: call a bomb cyclone, very heavy, ferocious winds, snow falling
- 33:38Speaker 2: very fast. Well, it looks like it's turned. It will
- 33:41Speaker 2: miss New York City, it will mostly miss Westchester, Connecticut,
- 33:46Speaker 2: Nassau County to out the end of Long Island. If
- 33:49Speaker 2: you're out in the Hampton's or somewhere out there, you
- 33:51Speaker 2: could get hit with it and get three inches or so.
- 33:53Speaker 2: But we're safe for Sunday, New York. It's not gonna
- 33:56Speaker 2: be a great day. It's gonna be cold and extremely windy,
- 34:00Speaker 2: but it looks like no snow.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Now.
- 34:02Speaker 2: The good news is we'll miss We'll miss this storm
- 34:06Speaker 2: on Sunday, we won't get any more snow, and then
- 34:09Speaker 2: on Monday Tuesday gets up to thirty two thirty three degrees,
- 34:13Speaker 2: so the snow will start melting. It's not going to
- 34:17Speaker 2: be easy. We've never had this happen where we got
- 34:19Speaker 2: this kind of snow and then way below freezing for
- 34:21Speaker 2: a week afterwards, so the snow couldn't melt. So that
- 34:24Speaker 2: could start to change next week. We'll get out of
- 34:26Speaker 2: this mess next week. Hey, we got another hour to
- 34:29Speaker 2: go and a lot to get to in the next hour.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Mark simone here every day ten to noon, or if
- 34:35Speaker 2: you want to listen to any other time, just get
- 34:37Speaker 2: the podcast and don't forget. On the weekends, there's a
- 34:39Speaker 2: bonus segment, an extra show on the podcast, Back After
- 34:42Speaker 2: the News on seven to ten w
