- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in welcome in it.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's Tuesday evening the 6th evening.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: I am mentioned going by Carl Dunmore.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: This is building the Broncos Carl.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: How are you doing?
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: What's good?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: What's new?
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: We got some Broncos news to talk about today, but first always like to check in and see how things are going in rock, chalk, Algeria, Kansas going on out there.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's a good idea.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty awesome.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad they're staying in Lawrence.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's a cool town.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: If you ever get a chance to head that way, cool college town, I should say.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm not sure as an adult, it's as much fun, but not really cool that they're working with Algeria and all that.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: And that's no, life's good.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, I'm actually home alone with the two dogs.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: We had one of our dogs had the puppy surgery.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure that there's no more puppies coming.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to keep an eye on him with everything and got him on some pretty powerful meds that have really messed with this depth perception and all said you just hear a dog ram into a wall.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: So my up to cut back on those just a little bit moving forward, but or you can try.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, God, you know, you're a little true right now.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, take the recommendations of movies after I take those meds.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: Wash the world cup kick back.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: Who knows?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: We don't condone that.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just teasing folks.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: Good, man, good to hear.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: The things are dizzy.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: I had one of those days at work where I had so many meetings that I can't get anything done, which is very frustrating because I'm getting nasty to do all these things.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do F because I have nine meetings today.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I can't even participate in the meetings because I have so many meetings, but it is what it is.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: Some days are like that Tuesdays especially, but not gonna hang out with all you guys, especially the folks in the chat.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: way better.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm just kidding.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: Keith coming in here, Broncos country, Mount High salute to all Denver Broncos for life, 5,280.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Heck yeah, obviously talking about the elevation there.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: We got our guy.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh, St. Patrick, sending us the coffee, Aloha building the Broncos.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's just unbelievable.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: I messaged Patrick.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's out there in Hawaii and I'm like, I got one bag left.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just kind of giving you a heads up.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: I swear as soon as I hit Enter, I hear the knock on the door.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out to him, one of the bad, I don't, it's not Patrick's fault, but one of the bags, I'm gonna blame UPS or USPS, whoever, not Patrick.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: absolved.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: But one of the bags did open a little bit.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I was like, and you know how the bags are the fault that boxes got the fold in them.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm like sitting there like rotating it and like getting every ground out and like shaking it because that's that's ground gold as far as I'm concerned, dusted gold.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out to you, Lion coffee, sponsor of every single morning for me.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: Honest god.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I've
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: My mom was a little bit offended, but I was back in Iowa two weeks ago for a wedding and I was having her coffee as just my wife looks at me, she's like, can we go get coffee somewhere?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I know it's not as good as lying coffee.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, my vacation.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: I had one good cup of coffee the entire nine days that I was gone.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as we got home that morning, lying coffee.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: Just that, and I just held the cup, just smelled it for a while that it felt good to have a good cup of coffee again.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we packed like your ounces and your volume is precious when you go backpacking.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: We packed legit like a huge thing of lion coffee when Carl and I did my Whitney.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: So bless you, Patrick.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: The rock, good evening, Nick and Carl.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm building at Broncos Goberbrocco's good to see.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: I hope you're doing well.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: Ron, appreciate you coming in, and we also got our guy, and BLEX, test prep, good to see you.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here to party, heck yeah.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Our cards have been party, and that's for sure.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: They had a little hard time in Minneapolis, but they've been playing pretty well, I mean, gosh.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: They're no Atlanta Braves Scott, but that's a good team this year, that's a lot of fun, really young too.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: So I gotta figure out that pitching.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: Ron, hit those thumbs up and subscribe to the mouth how it'll podcast on YouTube and become a member of the Mount Rushmore supporter,
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: of the Mount Rushmore support group and join the Mile High Huddle podcast discord gobo Broncos.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: We got Chase coming in says let's freaking bow.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: Heck yeah.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: We got talking about dogs.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: We got JR Whitehead coming in says what it if folks what it is folks giddy up go Broncos.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: Roy, Roy, hope you're doing well.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: I know you've had enough of medical, I don't know, the hippy disclosure or anything, but some, you know, well, I guess he disclosed it.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: So we're good.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: Sitting here and watching all the pods since I'm recouping from back surgery.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: Roy, get yourself maybe the season rewind and go back and watch all the Broncos games.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: Come back, report back to us, see if you found anything.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna give you homework.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: If you're sitting there with back surgery, I would,
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think that would be a good way to pass some time.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I hope you're doing better, and yeah, back surgery.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: No bueno, maybe you can reach out to Sean Payton for some tips.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: Mike Thompson, great to see you as his high friends.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, do you?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, 5,000, 20.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: 5,000 and 80 inches above sea level here in Pensacola.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: Man, Florida, Florida, Florida.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: Disney World, not my place.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: I did really love going to Panama City Beach.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I saw some people love that Disney World stuff.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: Just too many people in standing like I get antsy.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: I want I need to move.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: So just if they would let me like do some competition like get in the front of the lines, I could just ride the rides and go on the next thing.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: walking to stand and wait in the heat in the humidity.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: God bless him.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Not necessarily you and J.R. Whitehead, but just talking for him.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Mike says glad to see Bob back and getting work done.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, yeah, he is.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: Bose back, baby.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos was announced today that that second cleanup procedure was a removal of a bone spur for botanics, but he is back out there running around and it sounds like all good science, Carl.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm glad to hear that.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they asked afterwards, when are you gonna be able to be a full go?
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, if they would have let me, I would have done it today.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, that's great to hear.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he sounded very confident.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I've ever heard Bo speak quite that.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna say arrogant, but it was on that kind of borderline of self-assured.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm talking about his ankle saying, it hasn't felt this good in a very long time.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: I might be even better, or pretty much who's saying, I'm almost afraid is going to make me want to run more because that feels so good, kind of thing.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: And just a funny way of putting that, I guess.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then they asked him about his goals for the year.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, when is Super Bowl, when the MVP?
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I love it.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love them.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: My quarterback say those kind of things.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'd rather have a quarterback that's that confident than those.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, well, we'll just see how the season goes.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what do you want your quarterback to say, right?
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I sometimes are like the humble, but like they asked him, I didn't ask them if he's the best.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: They asked him what his goals are this season.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: and being in your three and your three in the system.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you need to aim for the stars, right?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, literally, as high as you came.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: So heck, why didn't you say break in the all-time passing record?
- 8:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, now I'm questioning what he's doing out there.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: But no, it's great to hear the confidence.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Now does the confidence mean anything as far as results go?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Is there any guarantees because he said that?
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: Not in my book.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you got results or the results.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: You can talk all the talk you want.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: The play on the field really does the talking at the end of the day.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: But, or if you want, if I want to piss off some people on the chat here, the numbers and the spreadsheets.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: But, paired with the tape, of course, come on guys.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm the psychopath.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe not with that.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: But, oh, I'm really happy to hear him out there and take the podium and he's just been a,
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: The whole bonus journey, obviously the first, you know, six, eight weeks up and down the first two games of his rookie year, ups and downs a little bit last year, but like I feel like I've been pretty lock step with the general media with the perception of bonus and right now I'm as far as I feel like I've ever been from them and maybe it's the.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: The hype and excitement of that Buffalo game, but like they didn't was a pencil lack and mean at times they had a 22nd quarterback and a redraft or 18 from like you know you can talk to me 14 15 but if you took him
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: top 12 right now for like, you know, going forward.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's where I get putting them right now.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a lot of great attributes.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: He has a minute, brought it up before Carl.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: Sports Infos Solutions last year.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: They had the most valuable player in football, not including contract value.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: And it was Bonax with how their metrics work now granted.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: They're tinkering with it.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they waited too much of a way to negative plays.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: We actually go out there and create explosives, if you will, but overall, man, very high about Bonax and really happy to see him back on the field.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if I do remember I, the one that they did Frank and him 22nd or whatever, it was who, over the next three years, would you like to have, which to me makes it even worse because he's still on that rookie contract.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's still young.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna have some of these other guys getting older going into, you know, they had guys like Stafford.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: He might not even be in the league in two years.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of thing.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, maybe he will, I don't know.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: But it is, it's just a little bit up in the air
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: How they went about that, and I mean, a couple of those guys have always been consistent from the beginning.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: They've not been, though, Nick's fans.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of people, and I think that's where we're at.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: If you didn't like Bow Nick's going into the draft process, you probably still are not the biggest fan.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: You probably hasn't changed your mind.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you loved him going into the draft process, you probably still love him.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably still looking at that going, hey, this guy helped the team go 14 and 3,
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: in 11 years and looking like a franchise quarterback.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, obviously the truth is somewhere probably a little bit more in the middle.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Now hopefully this year it's leaning more towards that side of guy that helped them win all those games and head and towards the MVP kind of conversation.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have to see how it all plays out.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the best team that he's had since being in Denver around him, I would say.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Offensively, at least.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's still got the same offensive line.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: JK Dobbins, healthy, best wide receiver room that he's ever had.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Tyden room still got some work to do there, but at the same time, like I said, he's got a real opportunity to go out there and show the world that he belongs in that top 10 conversation.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: And he's gonna have to do it twice, right?
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not super high on this quarterback, but like he is proved that he is a.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: capable franchise quarterback.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: Now I wouldn't say super star, but it's somewhat of the Brock party path, right?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Where a system quarterback, you know, drafted Lee, not a lot of who plot coming out of the draft, now granted Boest to fight more negative feedback because his profile compared to Perti and Iowa State going Mr. or Elvin, but it just takes longer for those guys to get the credit, right?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: Because a lot of people as you mentioned already, I had their mind made up.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: But overall, I mean, really happy he's back.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: We're still going to be monitoring the foot situation because, you know, it's maybe it's nothing.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: But if it happens again, you know, you start to be like, oh, we're starting to accumulate some concerns on that one specific area, but right now he's back.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's healthy.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: Denver has arguably the best training staff medical facility.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm still kind of just.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: blown away by the Alex singleton sort of like brought in machinery to have them have that test that next day is like oh my god insane so making sure they do and everything to make sure their players are healthy and progressing so not worried on that front so I have really excited as you a boat next can do this upcoming season now.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: I always have to add the caveat here comes you know the rain clouds again.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: progression is not guaranteed and it's not a straight line either, you know, it's not, oh, you're one easier, you're two, he's your, you're three, he's your, you can see your aggression this season.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Ward knows, you go out there and you play the games, but expectations are high and I feel like it's for me personally, you guys can tell me if I'm wrong on this one, but it's been long enough from the get the gut punch that was Bonix's ankle injury that I'm just
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: notification coming through was a kick to the groin for Broncos country, but not so sad anymore on that front opportunity loss, whatever, but excited to see what you can do in your three.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: I do expect better this year, like I said, just partly talent around him, having water there really changes the entire dynamic of how that
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's an I talked about that quite a bit last week, but beyond that, you know, just being in the same system for three straight years, you got to think that he feels about as comfortable as he's ever felt in an offensive system and his entire football career because I know Oregon, I think pretty much every single year he had a new coordinator.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: high school, I think the same thing happened in high school too, or he pretty much had different coordinators throughout his high school career too.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there's a decent chance he takes that next step forward and really takes command and you know, I love the Broncos are not backing off that idea of how good this guy can be.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: I would be kind of a little bit nervous about that.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: But Sean Peyton, he's always going to be that confident guy who believes phonics can be a top five quarterback, Davis Webb said getting water was like when he was in Buffalo, when Josh Allen got Stefan Diggs his third year and thinks that there could be a similar trajectory of that big bump forward because of that kind of move in his life.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't know what we'll have to see how it obviously plays out.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: There should be a quiet confidence that Bonaix will have a better year this year than he did last year.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: Stay healthy.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously there are areas where he can improve.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: We've talked about it on here a lot.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_02]: His superpower is the pressure to sack like how he can avoid taking sex, but sometimes it's a double-edged sword.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: He bails on clean pockets or doesn't follow through his progressions in the time where he's leaving
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: chances for exposed to plays on the field.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: But again, you don't want him to be taking the silly stupid sex, taking hits as well and can't go broke taken a profit as they say as well.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: So it's that delicate balance, you know?
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not, and he's not necessarily, I'm not calling him, you know, super conservative with his level play.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: I could also go out there and make some magic happen from time to time, just progressing as a pocket passer and feeling a little bit more comfortable with the rhythm of the dropback passing game.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: Takes time.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: It takes time.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: Mike's asking about our new pickups.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, Broncos bringing in a keen Butler, Iowa State, wide receiver, six foot five,
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: Bricks for hands unfortunately, but a very interesting player note out and also Denver brought in Cornerback as well, whose name has escaped me right now.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: They made a few corresponding moves, some they waved, veteran, white receiver, Michael Woods, who's going on to the IR and another Cornerback who was injured as well, they moved on from.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Cornerback, he's also a returner.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably his best way of making the team, I think.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now some people would say some of this is a sign of Marvin Mims and possibly him getting traded.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's quite that.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's more teams are returning more and more kicks than they've ever done for a long time here.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: And right now the way teams play it is, let's just keep it away from Marvin Mims.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, last year it was Bade was usually the returner.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: He was not good.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the Broncos really want to improve how well their kick return group can do.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Find another guy that could be an explosive weapon that maybe two or three times a year.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: You get that big play on special teams that changes the game.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think of the two, he probably actually stands the better chance.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know everybody's talking about Butler and, you know, he's that perfect Sean Payton type of
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's going to be really tough for him to make it in this wider silver room.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Practical.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he could make practice.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I have no doubt about that.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: But there is a reason that even though this guy is doing great in the UFL, that he's not been able to make it in the NFL.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: He said, the hands are an issue.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: Brock has already had enough issues with drops last year.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: So don't need to add to that problem more.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not sure how much he would even add towards like special teams.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're that third, fourth, fifth wide receiver, you need to be adding the special teams.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: So like I said, it's a nice story, kind of like the AT Perry.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody was all on that of, oh look at this guy, why isn't he on the field?
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: There's a reason.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: There's still a talent gap between the guys that are on this roster compared to some of these guys that they're bringing up every once While you find that gym that everything starts clicking.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we got one on our team named Tillman that was a great story for us and still is but I just don't see this one working out in his favor.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: Happy for him.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: Regardless, Denver brings in both from UFL St. Louis Battle Hawks.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: So glad to see there's still some football going on on the Gateway City, but it was Sean Fresh, F-R-E-S-C-H.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: So if I'm permissed pronouncing, is it fresh?
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: Fresh, small fast return or corner back from race and Denver moving on from Paul Manning corner back.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know, we'll see.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: Again, you need 90 for this time of year and injuries happen in that last, you know.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: 20 guys in that 90 constantly on the table rotating and bringing in new bodies and then went to get to the regular season it's that last you know even with a practice squad I guess you want to say 53 active but those 60 65 year you better be renting that buying if you know what I'm saying hopefully you can get a good hotel rate for extended stay but
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see them, but that's a great call.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, as far as the special teams angle, Butler, obviously, has more of a pedigree, but probably only one pathway to the field where there's not as many avenues because there's just enough talent ahead of him, young talent, as well.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously, injuries happen.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: We'll knock on wood, and that can change everything the dynamic of that room.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: But it will be a lot of fun to follow and see.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: How are everybody?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: How those guys do?
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: I know you guys in the group chat gave me a hard time about the balancing of the Hawkeye cyclone, a level of, I'm very envious of Iowa State's ability to put in wide receivers and running backs in the NFL.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't make any sense.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: Ames is in nowhere land and not a good job.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how they do after Matt Campbell's there.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: But they've, Matt Campbell did a hell of a job putting running backs and wide receivers in the NFL for that program.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what it does at Penn State.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: Moving it forward though.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: Some more news.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I guess anything else bring it back here.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Bonix.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Takeways obviously.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: Not, you're not going to take away too much right now.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, he's running the drill's great.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: The fact that he's out there all is awesome.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: But was everything else for the press conference or anything from people taking the podium today.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, Sean Payton, he talked about a couple of things.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure we'll talk about some of the other situations that are going on with Denver at our stories right now.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Williams says, Cam Jordan did sign today.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: I know some people are looking at him for the Broncos.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: That was one I was hoping for.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know everybody wants the Von Miller story, but Cam Jordan with his ability to
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: was something that I was very excited to kind of see.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: And we got Phil saying, good evening, Nick Carl and Deacon Scott were any of the recent cuts or signings surprising to you.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: Not really, I mean, it's like, so a couple of more injury related.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: Or for the Broncos and need to bring in a couple of people and this is the time of year where you're tweaking the the bottom five players of your 90 man roster, you know, you're going to see a lot of guys coming in and out from here, even leading up to training camp just trying to find that right combination and.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: And whether injuries pop up or not, you know, all those kind of things are going to be a part of this.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: So none of them really surprised me.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, some nice stories, I guess that it is really cool to see these guys that go from the UFL to the NFL.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think there were 40 players last year that went from the UFL to the NFL like made the opening day rosters.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: So it is a nice,
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: And a stepping stone for some of these guys and I almost wish some of these practice squad guys would go make that choice of, hey, throwing off season, let me go play in the UFL, get that time because then you actually get on the field where during the season, you don't get the many of those kind of opportunities and I get you don't want to be often in a fellow roster, but it just, I think one of the best things you can go do is go showcase your actual talent on the field.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's those reps in, right, prove that you belong in another level.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: So it's it's been great for that for all those people that had made it that far.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's not necessarily a true, you know, minor league system for the league, but to have another the out there, um, glad the UFO has stuck around.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: What was the, was there an AFL for a while?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: What was the, uh, the other league that didn't last fear?
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: There's been so many.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the CFL for a while way back in the day.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I tell you about the ball league.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in a full Europe.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's been quite the opportunities I guess out there and I wish one would stick.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's nice to have some football during the off season.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's not NFL.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's not quite college football, but it's still football.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, excited to see how those guys do.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: We got Phil, made a great to see them.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you coming in over on X.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: Got O's art coming in, since Trinna was going to make, take a, it's going to defecate on Muhammad's week one.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: You're assuming Muhammad's going to play week one.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're waiting to see on that, in front still.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: Vegas James, it's kind of amazing how long Sutton has been in Denver.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, Bowles is the longest tenured, but he plays a position that,
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: does tend to play longer.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out to Portland Sutton.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, been a great pro, granted, you know, there are players sometimes you think are high character players and
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: get involved in silly stuff, which Matt had to talk some more news on that in that front, but the sudden's been awesome.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out to him and I will continue to say so until prove another wise, but happy for him.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Sutton and Bulls have been here for a while and really happy to see them get the team success after many years.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're they're not fans, but they're they're two individuals who
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully, I never have to buy a drink in this town, that kind of thing like lifeers and get invited back to all the alumni events, as far as I'm concerned.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, have not outstate their welcome, Adela.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Is Garrett Bowles a ring of favor to you?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: I say not yet because the team hasn't had enough success with him on there, and because he plays offensive line, the reality is, and must he's like a Hall of Famer.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: legacy is going to depend on how well the team did around you at the time.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: The last year you know Joe Thomas, but he's still out time to see how that plays out.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, yeah, he's a ring of my heart.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: If that's anything, I love me some garables.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, hopefully he's no another five years and Denver wins at least a couple of rings during that time.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's a non-conversation.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right, oh yeah, then it's easy.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's up there no pretty much no matter what.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then we probably are talking, asking that question, okay, is he possibly Hall of Fame, if he gets another couple of all pros during that time and is a big part of those wins.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, no, I think he's got an okay opportunity to become a ring of favor.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's a great opportunity, like I said, just position-wise, he's hurt.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: there's guys that have been able to make it on the ring of fame that weren't always on the best teams, but because they were in those premier positions that everybody talks about, they get a little bit more attention for that.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, you're happy that they're finally having some success, but they're getting to play on a winning team and we got Paul coming to say Nick and Carl are my source of football knowledge.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you're in some trouble then.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I figure richest owners and sports
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: I like that bus you've been doing well.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you always coming in, providing some levity.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: And here we got our guy Todd as well.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Hello Broncos country.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: We always appreciate Todd coming in and saying hello.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: One of the good ones for sure, Mike L. XFL.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: He ate me.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: I did not watch much of the XFL but bless him.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: We got pearls in the house too.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: Where are we going?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: How many puppies?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take five.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: Plus yeah, that sounds great.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: Todd's asking about how about new Iowa wide receiver.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: I have a wide receiver in the portal that they're really hyping up, but I'll believe it when I see it.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: But also they have Von Arami, a Titan, who, I mean, he looks like a first rounder right now.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: But Iowa might have another free Titan.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: He broke the record for the most receiving yards from an Iowa Titan and program history
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: But some good ones, there as well.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: Chase says the only two ring of framers, ring of framers, Broncos having the offensive line are Zimmerman and Neilin.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, again, goes back to the team's success at the time.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: I would say probably nobody that, again, I'm going to age myself here and showing that I don't have the depth of knowledge or some of the gold heads out there.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: Ryan Clayty's peak was the best of any offensive linemen I saw in Denver, but just again team didn't have and tremendous success and he didn't have the longevity.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see bulls maybe minors maybe I mean the start he's on the start, but you know he's only hopefully a fifth through his a fourth through his career a third.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: So we still got some time to see that
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, miners with his all pros early in his career is going to, if he can continue down that path, he's going to have an opportunity for sure, bowls that just, unfortunately, I don't think they in a bell quite cut on how good he was doing, just because the team was not having a whole lot of success, you don't get the attention that the rest of the league gets.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: So when they're doing these kind of votes for even all pro or pro bowl,
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not on the winning team, it's hard for you to get those recognition.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm glad that this last year, he got that attention, got that all-pro vote.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: He made the pro ball if I remember right, too.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: Finally, so good for him.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, it's been great to have beer in Denver.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope we do get him for another two, three, four, five years.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what his plans are.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't surprise me after this season.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: He said, you know what?
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm good.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't surprise me if he decided, you know what?
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: I want to keep playing for quite a few more years too.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: I, he's one of those guys.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: I, I think he, he loves football.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: He loves being on the team.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: But he's also a big family man if his wife said, hey, let's be done.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: and nothing against his wife.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: I understand one to protect yourself, not be fully injured, get that time with your children and all those kind of things, but I think he'd be like, yep, I'm good with that too.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: She's great on social media, as well as appreciate her.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think Natalie Bulls, but yeah, we will
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: continue to follow that we love, we love us some garibles.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, did when I at least talk New Corgi puppy come in Friday.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: God bless you, Pearl.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: It should be a lot of fun.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: Some more darker news on the Broncos front that we do have to cover a car all.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: There was a fatality in the Broncos construction of the practice facility yesterday on a contractor from the Turner construction company.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: construction worker was found on responsive at the project site.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: Workers sought assistance from the onsite safety team and emergency services responded.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: Individual was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: So not somebody actually, you know, under contract with the Broncos and I from what I'm reading here from my closest tweet can't tell if it was a
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: something that just happened while he was there or something related to the actual construction have you heard anything else on that front but regardless thoughts and prayers go out to co-workers family friends and really a sad situation.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing other thing I've heard is that they've shut down work for the next few days as the police do a thorough investigation just to make sure that there was now no foul play or anything like that.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: And you did hear a very noticeable change in the tone of Sean Payton on the situation.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, last week it was, we're just gonna kind of let this play out.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: This week it was, he needs to go get his life right.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like he needs to get things figured out and his private life were disappointed in him.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: Was the word that he actually used was disappointed.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: And,
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: So it shows that they're not exactly happy with how this has been going and the decisions, yeah, maybe the first situation you can look at and say, hey, bad day, really bad things happen.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: You were really stupid and, you know, we need you to learn from this.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: But when you compound that bad decision with another bad lots of bad decisions,
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: Then it becomes, okay, are you even on our team moving forward?
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that they're going to cut them.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: I can't tell you one way or the other how this is all going to play out.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how the legal stuff's going to play out, but just not a great look for where how this is going for him.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: And for a guy that was really a big time, I thought, good leader, good character guy coming into all this.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then all of a sudden this happens.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, something happened.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: You see a change, I know the other day they were talking about Brandon and I you can sit in this past teammates for saying, hey, are you reach out to us?
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: We want to help you, because obviously Sutton's going on there with him too.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: Very, very frustrating.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: Legal updates.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: The charges were dropped against Cooper's girlfriend,
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: girlfriend's attorney Ronald Gainer said she'd never been charging the first place in the decision today by a district's attorney office confirms that decision really goes a long way and vindicating her and we're happy with the court's decision today.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: And then of course uh Harvey Steinberg um said shouldn't have been dropped.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: Um woman and mits she was a aggressor and mits she grabbed my client's phone out of his hand.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: Mits she went through without his permission and mits she threw it against a wall damaging it.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: several allegations against my client, which please don't appear to believe, charges dismiss against her prosecution goes against the prosecution against black man continues, justice in America.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: So there's Broncos lawyer on retainer their Harvey Steinberg.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: So it's ugly, it's ugly.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, in the other front, I know there's a lot of von Miller talk as well with him.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know, with Vaughn Miller's allegations of some sexual aggression and charges in his past, um, great thing he's not in jail, but there have been, I think, multiple instances and I love Vaughn's time in Denver.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just, following this,
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a pretty hard sell to do bring somebody who's had instances in the past.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, they would appeal to authority, I know, but they would know better.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: They would do their due diligence.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I just, I don't think it's a no-brainer because of that.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, the other part is, at that position, you do have some quality guys that you think
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: it's not like your desperate and absolutely need von Miller to still have a successful edge room.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be nice to have another body in there that can go and win a individual rep.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I think you probably do feel pretty good with Ellis and Robinson and Tillman and you know last year they were very excited about Walker before he went down with entry.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's back again this year.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you've got some names you like right now.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you have to make that decision on bond Miller.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can wait even clear up to training camp or even into training camp.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I would guess that bond Miller's keeping himself in shape.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so you don't have to make a decision right now.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure that would be the best thing to bring into the locker room.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Brock was a very cautious when it comes to anything locker room related.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that was part of it today was Sean Payton talking about it of we have a, we have a standard here in Denver.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: and we do not stand for for anything.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: We have a very high standard and you've seen it.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: Denver went from nothing against Mike Shanahan, but there were a lot of Bronco players that got arrested while Mike Shanahan was coached.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much every off season.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: You could guarantee three Bronco players, DUIs, assaults, something happened.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: Where was Sean Payton?
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is, is this our very first,
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: Incident or Michael little boy.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay coach, yeah, but that was an arrest and I mean it's not even Sean Peyton.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's George Peyton.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: It goes back further.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: I can't think of many outside of that.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we were just talking about it recently.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: I do feel like a little bit of a and I did obviously have the caveat that we're waiting for more information to come out, but talking about it Friday morning's show doing a solo show reading just reading.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: what's been reported being like, see how it plays out?
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obviously it's tilted through the Broncos lens on that, but it, I will see how it all continues.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's been a pretty squeaky clean team.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: And there was Judy too, Jerry Judy.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember, was that when he was in Denver,
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: There was a couple of spat, I do recall.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: That also was not a George Peyton draft pick.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, there was jury duty issue as well.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Right, that was not giving back a car seat to his ex-girlfriend or something like that ended up being a whole thing.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: I can't quite remember, but I get it out.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, it's true.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: But no, I do appreciate that the Broncos have
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: factored in a lot of character stuff into what they've brought into this locker room and not that character wins championships, but a good locker room can help.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: There's one championship sort of bad one can sync it.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a good way to put it.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: Man.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Rhett, 650.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: It is the off season.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: We do have a kickoff coming up here soon.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: No, I got a movement, but was there anything else that you really felt like a we were discussing right now.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, we've got the Cooper stuff, Bonyx.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned Sean Peyton's tone changed as well.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see if anything comes of it if they can get out of that contract.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: Talking about bringing Bond Miller.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obvious
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: half for this as well, is that Denver's pretty deep at edge.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, makes more of an opportunity for Telman Cooper and Q Robinson who, I mean, Q is a chance to be the most valuable player from that draft last year.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: Let's be real, or two years ago, whatever it is.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm entering in a second season, just because of positioning plays, but opportunity there, maybe it's not necessarily an edge where you bring somebody in, but maybe it's that off-ball linebacker spot as well.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we'll see.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: There might be some dominoes based on what the outcome of what happens with Cooper.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: Bill and I think I wanted to note RJ Harvey did have surgery this offseason.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, on a torn laborham.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like he's fully recovered and good to go.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard a lot of good things about the running back room that they've been looking very solid so far.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I know pads aren't fully on.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's hitting full on.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you don't learn as much as you would like to learn about those positions, but they're looking big, they're looking strong, they're looking fast, and that's what you love to hear.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully, that run game can be a huge part of this offense this year.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's one thing to just bring in it full circle to our conversation earlier, Bonix, MVP, and everything like that.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping that he doesn't have the passing volume.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: Where, I mean, I saw a lot of the big conversation, like Drake May last year, didn't have crazy passing volume and he was second because of the efficiency and the explosives and everything.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: But Bonix has far and away the highest amount of pass attempts last two seasons.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: I would love to dramatically cut that because the running game is working so well.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like we don't have to play air raid, but let's get some play action going and hit some frickin' shots down the field.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_02]: Make a pay.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: That would be awesome.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, I was listening to, to Manning and Brady.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: They were doing their Mount Rushmore of Lied Receivers.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: And Brady said something.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_01]: He said the great Lied Receivers are the ones that can attack all three levels of the field.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they can win the short, they can win the medium that they can win the deep and teams have to worry about it everywhere they go and that's why the adding of water because he is one of those guys he's proven he can take a five yard slant turn into a 70 yard play he can attack the middle of the field he can obviously win over the top deep
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: And if the Broncos can get some of those lighter boxes, and Argy Harvey can have a little bit more confidence and hit that line with a little bit more at the Russian than he did last year.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're getting the explosive plays in the run game as well.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I can't imagine what will happen to this offense.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think of not saying that that Bonax's group res.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm trying to think of the Saints when they were at their best.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: They were a very balanced team of, they could win in the past game easily.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: They also had two, a two headed monster running back.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: That could go out there and destroy teams with the run game if they decided to back off.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you want here in Denver.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you hope so.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: You hope so.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Todd says lack of experience linebacker might be more concerning and losing a past pressure.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: You got a bunch of young past brochures too, right?
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: So the issue will be the edge setting.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's some more of an opportunity for Tilman.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: Then, but Cooper wasn't very good the second half of the year last year.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: It was just kind of call it what it was.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: Call it what it is.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: But should be a lot of fun.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: Really happy to see Bonax back out there.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, we'll find out a little bit more.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going forward and I see some comments about,
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: Cooper reason can't the Saints move a quick move with cam different positions talking about seven technique nine technique versus like a four eye five technique at this point, but I don't know if there is a rush or just, you know, this point made sense wanted to go back to the game.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: Who knows, but should be.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of fun, hopefully, for getting a little bit more, going forward and always great to hang out and talk a little ball with you, Carl.

- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm enjoying it.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the USA World Cup, but the USA playing as good as they did in that game has my feels right now in a good way.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think somebody posted that there is a chance on the Fourth of July,
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: Bronco could urge not progress.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: USA could be playing England on the 4th July.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: And like Houston or something, too.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember where I was going to take care of.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, there's there's a small chance it could happen.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, it's it's fate.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: God, 2015 years later, it could have to beat them again.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: God bless, man.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all right.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well,
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: on that note.
