SILVER Breakout! 🚨 THIS Explains the Silver Price - Gold Precious Metals NEWS Update · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:01
What caused the massive surge in the silver price yesterday and
0:05
over the last few days, the last 10 days?
0:08
We're going to look at all the reasons why, put them all
0:12
together and see if it indicates to us that we can continue to
0:15
look forward to much higher prices in silver in the coming
0:19
months, quarters, years and decades.
0:22
We've also got some big breaking news we're going to cover this
0:25
morning. We're going to talk about why
0:27
President Donald Trump could be the biggest gift to the world of
0:31
precious metals. All politics aside, something
0:35
that's going on with the president right now, something
0:38
that has been going on that could indicate to us that he
0:41
will be very, very good for the price of precious metals.
0:45
We've also got, there's a lot to cover today, guys, a big story
0:50
out of India and we're going to go a level deeper than everybody
0:53
else is going and talk about why that also could be great for the
0:57
gold and the silver price. First, thank you for being here.
1:00
Welcome to the basement. We are basement dwellers.
1:04
We believe in the future of silver and gold because we
1:08
understand history and we understand basic mathematics.
1:12
Let's go out and take a look at the big breaking news story this
1:15
morning, and then we've got a ton of interesting things to
1:19
cover together today, guys. And this comes from the New York
1:24
Times headline Breaking news. US inflation jumps 3.8%, the
1:31
fastest rate in three years, Consumer prices rose in April at
1:36
the fastest rate since May of 2023.
1:39
Sharp increases and energy caused by the war, blah blah,
1:43
blah blah. Look, we've talked about this
1:46
and we won't go down this path too far together.
1:48
The number one thing that's going to drive the price of gold
1:50
and silver over the next decade is inflation.
1:55
Everything else is just noise at this point.
1:58
There's a lot of noise out there, but ultimately, right,
2:01
all that noise feeds into the value of the US dollar going
2:06
down and inflation going up. Inflation is what we it's the,
2:11
it's the driver. Inflation is the new master
2:14
inflation. Everything else has been
2:17
indentured to inflation. OK, and the and the key thing to
2:21
remember also the bonus cherry on top, these are official
2:25
numbers that we're looking at like we got this morning.
2:27
The real numbers are way, way, way worse.
2:30
So why do we have a massive move up in the silver price
2:35
yesterday? I mean, it wasn't too long ago,
2:38
guys, that we were talking about the fight for $72.50 silver.
2:43
Now let's go take a look at what the price is this morning.
2:46
We've had volatility to the upside, but we've also had a
2:49
little volatility to the downside.
2:53
But man, look at that. We're only down 76 cents earlier
2:57
this morning. The silver price, excuse me, was
3:00
down like 250, almost maybe $3 per oz.
3:04
And we've got, OK, so we've got analysis from Vince Lancy.
3:09
We're going to look at a little bit later as well telling us the
3:13
key numbers, but we are in good shape.
3:16
I never thought I'd be smiling at you.
3:18
Look, we went up what five, 7% yesterday and the silver price
3:22
today we're down 1%. Yes, there will be volatility,
3:26
but when we have big up days that go up 3456 dollars per oz
3:32
and on our down days we dropped by a dollar to let's remember
3:36
that we're in very good shape. Now let's let's get to all these
3:38
reasons why people are saying that the silver price went up
3:43
yesterday and then we're going to put them all together and
3:46
come to our conclusion. The first one that's getting
3:49
some attention is this. This comes from Eric Young, King
3:58
Kong 9888, super respected guy out there in the know, very well
4:04
connected in the gold and silver sector and in Asia.
4:08
And what he's hearing is the the GCC, that's the Gulf, Gulf
4:13
cooperation countries. That's like all the countries,
4:16
United Arab Emirates, you know, all those countries in the
4:19
Middle East that he's hearing that they're selling treasury
4:23
reserves to buy gold and silver with emphasis on silver.
4:29
He says you can post that if you like.
4:31
And this is obviously a text that he got from one of his
4:34
sources. So I'm hearing that from a
4:36
number of people that some of these Middle Eastern countries
4:39
are back to buying big amounts of gold and silver.
4:43
But what's interesting here is that they're emphasizing silver
4:47
and we've yet to really see big central banks, big countries on
4:52
a sovereign basis start to buy silver.
4:54
But it is starting. I think Russia has been
4:57
reported. And also there was another
4:59
country in the Middle East that we also had reports was starting
5:02
to buy silver. The next reason that they're
5:05
giving us right that we can look at in, in terms of what's
5:08
causing this big up move in the silver price is the relationship
5:15
between gold and silver. And here we have it right here,
5:18
the gold to silver ratio continuing to move down.
5:21
Before I came on, I recalculated.
5:24
We were at a 55 gold to silver ratio, meaning it would take 55
5:30
ounces of silver to buy one ounce of gold.
5:33
Just a few days ago, that was around 60.
5:36
Within the last year, it was as high as you can see as 100.
5:41
But that ratio is starting to break down, right?
5:45
I mean, it's pretty obvious here on the chart.
5:48
However, what's interesting and what a lot of people are
5:51
pointing out is again, another wedge pattern that we had in the
5:55
gold to silver ratio where we went into that wedge pattern in
6:00
a downward trend. And now let's get a different
6:03
color up here for us. So it sticks out now, right?
6:07
We are starting to break out. If the gold to silver ratio were
6:13
to get as low as 30 at the current $4700 per oz gold, gold
6:19
price, that would put the silver, that would put the
6:23
silver price at 100, $156. I bet you wouldn't complain
6:32
about that. Next up, the the volume, there's
6:36
so much to cover going on, OK? The volume in open interest at
6:40
the COMEX had been at pitifully low levels and that as that had
6:44
happened, it was very key for us to remember that the silver
6:47
price had held strong. Now we're seeing higher volume
6:51
at the COMEX. Let's check this out right from
6:55
the dude, the man right. The silver market traded almost
6:59
400 million paper oz yesterday. A quick friendly reminder,
7:04
that's about half of what the entire world mining sector
7:07
produces on silver for an entire year.
7:10
Yes, in one day the paper market traded 395,000,000 oz.
7:15
However, the key point to remember and to point out here
7:18
is that as volume now is picking up at the COMEX and open
7:22
interest is starting to pick up, I think it's over like 104,000
7:26
contracts. Last I read.
7:28
That is coinciding with a big increase in the silver price.
7:33
And we talked about that last week that we had this pitifully
7:36
low level of volume in the paper markets in that while the silver
7:41
price, it held pretty good, pretty strong in that 70 to 75
7:45
range that when volume came back, that could be a major
7:48
catalyst. And that also is what we're
7:51
seeing right now. Next up, did President Trump and
7:54
we got more to talk about Trump. But are Trump's price floors to
7:58
blame? There's more rumors going around
8:00
about that. Speculation.
8:03
This from silver trade. Silver explodes $6 yesterday on
8:08
quote, UN quote, no news with US, Iran ceasefire talks
8:11
breaking down and gold is flat. Something tells me the banksters
8:16
just got wind of the Trump administration's new silver
8:20
price floor. Guys, let's remember the United
8:24
States of America put the put silver on the critical minerals
8:29
list and there's been all these talks going on with Mexico,
8:32
Korea in speculation that they're talking about setting a
8:36
price floor for silver. Has that been leaked?
8:40
Who knows. OK, Next up, maybe it's the fact
8:45
that China is now setting the price for silver.
8:48
Let's go check out the OG himself.
8:51
Not the original gangster, although he is an original
8:54
gangster, but he is the Oriental Ghost.
8:57
And let's get an update from him where silver closed last night
9:02
on the Shanghai Gold Exchange and the Shanghai Futures
9:06
Exchange. But remember guys, this is the
9:10
physical market of the world right now.
9:13
And wow, I drew too many lines, sorry.
9:16
As you can see, the physical price of silver that's AG on the
9:22
Shanghai Gold Exchange closed at $95 per oz.
9:27
Now, next, let's listen to Vince Lancey.
9:30
I love Vince. Vince's amongst the handful of
9:34
what I consider to be smartest and nicest.
9:37
It's a very nice guy, you can tell, and I've actually talked
9:40
to him once before. People in the silver world.
9:43
He's going to talk to us about Bollinger Bands and what
9:46
happened yesterday from a technical perspective and why
9:49
it's so important. And he's going to give you a key
9:53
number, right? Remember 7250 that we talked
9:57
about as being the key line in the sand?
10:00
Well, Vince has a new number, and I think you're going to like
10:03
it. Let's listen to Vince for just a
10:05
few moments here. I'm out here at his YouTube
10:09
channel. Go support him, right?
10:11
This guy, Vince Lancey, does a great deal and and provides
10:17
unbelievable information about what is happening right now in
10:21
the world of silver and gold. Let's listen to what he says
10:25
about silver and the charts. OK, we start with Bollinger
10:31
Bands. Yesterday, silver gave us the
10:34
cleanest breakout on Bollinger Bands that we've seen since that
10:40
weekly breakout we had we had in gold in October of last year.
10:45
So we have something very nice here in silver.
10:50
You see the market's down to 50 right now, and I'm telling you
10:53
that's not a problem yet. It's still not a problem yet.
10:57
If you're looking for a number for this system, we're not
11:01
worried about any pullback that does not penetrate 8210.
11:07
Any pullback that does not penetrate 8210 is OK, and if it
11:14
does not pull back to 8210, which is another dollar fifty
11:18
away, you never know, but you have to be careful.
11:21
If it does not pull back, then this will be probably one of the
11:23
biggest Bollinger Band breakouts that I've seen in 10 years.
11:30
So this could coincide with a big move higher.
11:34
It really, really could, and I don't know why there's no news
11:38
coming out. But isn't that the way it always
11:41
is? When the market actually does
11:42
get going, they don't tell you the reason why until after the
11:45
fact, which is why you have to have some technical analysis.
11:51
OK. Thank you, Vince.
11:52
Visually, you can see gold isn't even threatening.
11:55
Here we go. Thank you, Vince.
11:57
Oh, did you hear what he said? We don't even have to worry
12:00
about anything until we get to $82.10.
12:04
But more importantly, look, this guy follows the markets every
12:08
single day and he's sharp. People love him.
12:11
He's one of the top. He's like a Michael Oliver
12:13
caliber type person. He also said that this breakout
12:18
from Bollinger Bands and Bollinger bands measure like the
12:21
volatility in the markets. They're one of the most closely
12:24
followed technical indicators from people that are really into
12:28
technical analysis. He said it's the biggest
12:31
Bollinger Band breakout that he's seen in 10 years.
12:36
Hey, if you want to get your hands on some silver before
12:39

14:01
sponsoring Ron's basement. It really is incredible.
14:04
OK, we got more to talk about. OK, one more reason why silver
14:10
is doing so so well. This is a great visual that I'm
14:14
sure you're going to enjoy. Very simple, but very powerful.
14:19
And there's a a little secret hidden in here as well.
14:23
It says it must be said over and over again.
14:27
Things aren't getting more expensive.
14:29
Your dollar is becoming worth less inflation.
14:34
Remember that word, guys. That's all we're going to talk
14:37
about for the next 10 years is not the magical increase in
14:41
general prices. It is the increase in money
14:44
supply chasing the same number of goods, making your dollar
14:49
worth less compared to goods. And look at this.
14:53
This shocked me. This is $100 worth of silver.
14:58
As you can see on the left, right, you get this big giant
15:02
pile of silver for $100 in in 1926. 80 years, no, 100 years
15:10
later. So much for my math skills.
15:13
This is what you get. You can barely see it over here.
15:16
OK, this again indicates to us just how incredibly powerful
15:24
silver is at at maintaining value and keeping its value.
15:27
But what's even more interesting about this is right here.
15:31
This post was viewed 150,000 times.
15:38
I'm telling you guys the opportunity for more people, new
15:42
people, like we are the 1%, you're part of the 1%.
15:47
We may not be the wealthiest 1%, but we're part of the 1% that
15:51
maybe is the wealthiest that understands the value of
15:54
precious metals. But the numbers are starting to
15:57
grow. People are waking up, and we've
16:00
said this over the last year, inflation, right as it drives
16:06
everything going forward, People are going to wake up when they
16:09
go to the grocery store in the gallon of milk that cost $5
16:13
right now suddenly cost $9 or $11.00 or $12.00.
16:19
It could be a flood of people. It's just getting started right
16:23
now. And when those people come the
16:26
the silver and gold markets, especially the physical markets
16:30
are so small, just the smallest increase in people could have a
16:34
major impact on demand and price.
16:36
Because think about it, those new people who are showing up,
16:40
those new people that saw the 150,000 people that saw that,
16:44
that visual graphic that I just showed you, that's new money
16:48
coming into the sector. A lot of people in the gold and
16:51
silver sector are stocked up, right?
16:54
Maybe you're stocked up, right? Like, you know, I've been, I
16:57
bought silver over decades. You maybe you have as well.
17:02
Maybe you're buying more now. Trust me, right?
17:05
I remember buying silver when it was $25.00 an ounce thinking it
17:08
was expensive. People by now, I believe, just
17:13
my opinion at 80 or $85 an ounce.
17:17
We'll look back 1020 years from now and think, Can you believe
17:20
we could buy silver at $85 pounds?
17:22
Anyway, it's time for the sheeple noise.
17:25
A critical part of our, of our community and live stream
17:28
together is more and more of those people join us and we like
17:32
to affectionately refer to them as the, the sheeple and we love
17:40
them and they're welcome. It's going to have a major,
17:43
major impact on the price. Let's talk about what happened,
17:48
what, how different this is. This is crazy, 'cause people are
17:51
saying, oh, silver's going back to $50, things are different,
17:55
blah, blah, blah. This, I thought, was one of the
17:57
coolest pieces of silver analysis that I've seen in a
18:01
long time, and it came from Reddit, from Wall Street Silver.
18:08
Silver in 1980 versus silver in two 2026 and onwards.
18:15
So on the left in green 1980 and on the right, right 2026 and
18:26
onwards. So in 1980, silver peaked at $50
18:31
when the M2 money supply was less than 10 trillion.
18:34
This is powerful right now silver peaked way more than
18:38
$50.00 with global M2 money supply more than 100 trillion.
18:44
So 10 trillion in 1980, a hundred trillion.
18:47
Now if M2 money supply is increased by 10 times, then the
18:52
peak silver price should increase by 10 times, which
18:57
would give us, right? That was the peak at 10
19:00
trillion. So the peak at 100 trillion.
19:03
Could you? Mathematically it makes sense,
19:05
Could be $500 per oz in 1980. No silver deficit problem today.
19:12
6 consecutive years of deficit with silver in 1980.
19:16
No solar panel, no EVs, no AI, data centers, robotics,
19:21
anything. None of that was make creating
19:23
huge demand for silver. Today we got solar panels, we
19:27
have E VS, we have AI, we have data centers, robotics, all
19:30
creating massive current and future demand for silver.
19:34
Back then. No central bank demand today,
19:37
Russia central bank, Saudi Arabia central bank are buying
19:40
silver as a result served 1980, no country was listing silver as
19:46
a critical mineral. OK.
19:48
Today the United States amongst others has added silver as a
19:52
critical mineral. 1980 China didn't control silver exports.
19:59
China was nothing OK back then, I mean they were something but
20:02
nothing like they are today. Today, China is controlling
20:07
silver exports in limiting them. From January 1st #7 India didn't
20:13
monetize silver. We know the Indian government is
20:16
starting to implement silver is loan collateral from April
20:21
first. Wow 1980 Hunt brothers were
20:25
buying up silver and that was paper silver.
20:27
By the way, guys, today a fraction of 1.4 billion Indian
20:33
and a fraction of 1.2 billion Chinese retail investors are
20:38
buying of silver. Some central banks are also
20:41
buying of silver #9 India silver imports were insignificant in
20:46
1980. Today Indian silver imports are
20:51
crazy. We are living in a completely,
20:54
completely different world. It is much, much different today
21:00
than the way things were in 1980.
21:03
China, India. I won't go through the whole
21:04
list again, guys. And on top of that, sorry my
21:09
friend, you forgot to put on your list, the United States of
21:12
America did not have almost $40 trillion in debt.
21:17
We're going to talk about why things are even more different
21:20
now than back then. But I do want to say thank you
21:22
to channel sponsor First Mining Gold.
21:25
They're a Canadian gold development stage company with
21:27
two huge multi million ounce gold development stage projects
21:33
in Canada. OK, there's not a lot of big
21:38
development stage gold projects in the world.
21:41
There's an exclusive small number in Canada, a great
21:45
jurisdiction. You can learn more about the
21:47
company at firstmininggold.com. Stock I've owned long before
21:51
they sponsored my channel, but I'm not a financial advisor, so
21:54
do your own research. Everything's risky.
21:57
You know all that. My general disclaimer.
21:59
Now let's see what we just talked about.
22:03
How different? Like the silver price went crazy
22:06
in 1980, things are more extreme now.
22:09
Who else is saying that? The one and only the man, right?
22:14
Peter Schiff, he said. If you think gold, silver, oil,
22:18
Treasury yields are high now, they all look like they're about
22:21
to explode much higher. The same is true for consumer
22:25
prices in general. As inflation returns with a
22:30
vengeance. This does not portend 1970s
22:34
stagflation. It portends something way worse.
22:43
OK, let's move on. Let's talk about Donald Trump.
22:46
I started this live stream by by warning you right, Donald Trump
22:49
could be the best thing ever for precious metals.
22:53
This is not a political channel. I'm not making any type of
22:55
political statement, but I'm stating a fact.
22:58
I believe this term with Donald Trump could be the greatest
23:02
thing ever for precious metals on many different levels, first
23:06
and foremost being inflation. But he's saying some really
23:10
interesting things right now about Fort Knox and about gold.
23:15
Let's dig in and then we're going to hear what Judy Shelton
23:19
has to say about this. But over the weekend, major
23:23
story, President Trump says he still wants to inspect Fort Knox
23:27
gold reserves. I want to see if the gold is
23:30
there, he says, which I'm sure it will be next.
23:35
It was reported by Forbes. President Trump on Sunday he
23:39
wants to examine the US gold at Fort Knox, a fixation for a time
23:44
during his fixed year as first year in office is he again
23:47
speculated about the condition of the United States Bullion
23:52
depository. But wait, there's more because
23:56
I'll come back. What about a video walkthrough
24:01
live stream of Fort Knox? Who's proposing that?
24:04
Wait till you hear this. And maybe would they invite us?
24:08
Would they invite me from Ron's basement to bring you on a video
24:12
walkthrough live stream of Fort Knox?
24:14
Hey, nothing's out of the question, but listen to what
24:17
Judy Shelton is saying about what's happening right now with
24:21
Fort Knox. And let's get this up on full
24:25
screen for your viewing pleasure.
24:27
And I did speed it up a bit because this is full of
24:30
fascinating Fort Knox gold information.
24:34
I have to ask you about Fort Knox.
24:35
And like, you know, if we finally do get that audit, like
24:38
do you think it's more like is it symbolic or do you think we
24:41
need to do that audit at Fort Knox to really show transparency
24:43
that I don't think there's been an audit at Fort Knox since
24:45
195370 years ago? It would be.
24:48
It's both. Yeah.
24:49
It's really needed because sadly, there are a lot of
24:52
Americans who don't even trust the government to, to accept
24:54
that, that the gold is there. I've had people say that and I
24:57
thought you can't be serious, but they are.
24:59
And I so I think it's needed. But more than that, you would
25:03
have to explain whether any of the gold there are encumbrances
25:05
against it or not. And but I have, I have discussed
25:08
that and I, as I say, I think it would be wrong for me to
25:11
characterize in any way the response of anyone in government
25:14
to these ideas. I I think that would be
25:16
improper. But rest assured, I, I've done
25:19
my elevator speech and in some cases had much longer to make to
25:21
discuss these things. But I, I've said I think it
25:25
would be a public relations bonanza.
25:27
Yeah, what's funny would pay attention.
25:28
Well, would you support the idea?
25:30
I know Elon Musk said he said there should be a a live video
25:33
walkthrough. Like what do you, what do you
25:34
think of? That idea, I would love it.
25:35
I think that would guarantee that any issuance would be
25:37
oversubscribed, but I also think it's imperative to reassure
25:40
people who have concerns that it's physically there.
25:45
A live video walkthrough of Fort Knox.
25:49
Now, the important thing for us to remember about this as well
25:53
is like she said, Americans don't trust the government that
25:56
the gold is there. That's what she said.
25:59
I would say my observation from being in the silver gold sector
26:02
for decades is that's generally true, especially people in the
26:07
precious metal sector. People are talking about re
26:10
monetization of the gold in Fort Knox.
26:13
Let's also remember, Scott Percent, our Treasury Secretary,
26:18
is a gold bug. So what can happen with the gold
26:22
at Fort Knox on top of all the other factors that Donald Trump
26:26
is contributing to the golden age for precious metals, It
26:30
could get very, very interesting.
26:32
I do want to say thank you to channel sponsor.
26:35
We got something big about India, something crazy about
26:39
India in gold. We're going to get there.
26:42
But thank you to Dirty Man Safe, right for for their support of
26:46
Ron's basement guys. These are the safes you bury in
26:50
the ground, OK? They unscrew here at the bottom.
26:54
You put your valuables in there. You can put a lot in here.
26:57
Trust me. You seal them up comes with a, a
27:01
white tube that you bury in the ground.
27:02
You bury this in the ground and keep your belongings safe.
27:06
They're really, really cool. I love these things.
27:08
Oh, there's a discount code Ron 10.
27:11
Don't forget Ron 10. I think you get 10% off and you
27:15
might get a couple extra goodies thrown in with your dirty man
27:19
safe as well. Thank you.
27:20
Dirty man safe and thank you to all you guys out there who've
27:24
supported them. Great company, great people.
27:26
India. Did you hear about India?
27:29
This was big, massive breaking news.
27:31
And yes, then my fellow basement to others, we will go do an
27:34
update on the gold and silver price.
27:36
But this is big and there's a secret factor that could make
27:41
this even bigger. But the Indian government, let
27:43
me just read it to you. Here, Clothes.
27:48
All right, here we go, guys. This comes from the Hindustan
27:53
Times, not a paper I read on a regular basis.
27:56
You probably neither. But we love India.
27:59
We love their love of gold and silver.
28:01
But why did their Prime Minister bid?
28:04
This is a huge story has directed Indians to avoid buying
28:10
gold for a year. OK, Indian people in India love
28:14
gold, love silver, silver and their government, their Prime
28:17
Minister Modi, OK, that guy came out yesterday telling the Indian
28:27
people not to buy gold. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has
28:31
urged Indians to adopt cost cutting measures, including
28:34
avoiding gold purchases, postponing foreign travel and
28:39
working from home. OK, let me tell you.
28:42
But there's a couple key factors we're going to look at here.
28:45
But the big obvious one. And then we got another piece of
28:47
analysis on this that's going to blow you away.
28:51
But the big 1 is what he's telling them is we want you to,
28:54
to not buy, don't convert your Fiat, your rupees like they're
28:58
called rupees, rupees, whatever. Don't convert your paper to
29:03
physical gold, Would they? They want, they want to support
29:06
the Fiat. They want to support the paper,
29:09
right? Does that sound familiar?
29:11
Didn't the United States do that back in like 1974 when they
29:14
created the, the, the futures market to A, to a discourage
29:18
Americans from investing in physical gold?
29:21
Same thing. And when they tell, when you
29:24
tell people not to do something, they're probably going to want
29:27
to do it more. But wait, there's even more
29:30
here. Let's check this out, see what
29:32
happened. We talked about this earlier.
29:35
Why do we love silver and gold, right?
29:38
Because one of the big reasons is we understand history and
29:42
look at what happened last time. I think it was Gandhi that told
29:46
the Indian people not to buy gold.
29:48
This is fascinating and thank you to Mr. MI want to say thank
29:53
you. We've got a great guy.
29:54
He's like the gold and silver guru.
29:55
I call him Mr. M He lives in the Carolinas, sends me some
29:59
incredible information, including this.
30:02
In 1967, Indira Gandhi appealed to Indians don't buy gold, just
30:09
like they did 2 days ago. The reason was that India's
30:14
foreign exchange position, their Fiat was under stress.
30:18
Imports were becoming, excuse me, difficult, and the current
30:24
system needed people to show national discipline.
30:27
But what followed one of the biggest gold bull markets in
30:32
history from the late 60s when they told their people not to
30:36
buy gold, through 1980, gold exploded higher globally and in
30:41
rupee terms. That's the Indian currency,
30:45
Fiat. The move was even more brutal.
30:49
So here's the real lesson when governments tell citizens not to
30:53
buy gold. Does that sound familiar if you
30:55
live in the United States, like in 1971 when Nixon took us off
31:00
the gold standard and the dollars lost 99% of its value
31:03
against gold? Or that example we looked at
31:06
earlier with silver from 1926, How much silver you could buy
31:10
with $100 a mountain of silver compared to today, a 1 1/2
31:15
ounce? Or you not even that.
31:17
OK, I digress. When governments tell citizens
31:20
not to buy gold, they're usually not worried about your jewelry.
31:24
They're worried about pressure on the currency, pressure on
31:31
reserves, and pressure on the financial system.
31:35
Gold doesn't become important when everything is normal.
31:40
Gold becomes important when the system starts asking you not to
31:46
buy it. And there's the headline.
31:48
Wow, look at that faded newspaper from 19 what 67?
31:53
Don't buy gold, Indira tells people appeals for national
31:58
discipline. Look, guys, no matter how we
32:00
look at it from whatever angle, I think this big move up that we
32:04
had in silver, I think and also big move up coming in gold can
32:09
be explained by some pretty simple facts.
32:12
Fiat currencies are going down in value and inflation is going
32:18
up. It's going to be super
32:19
interesting to follow this process.
32:23
I want to do it with you. I really appreciate you being a
32:26
basement dweller on on behalf of upstairs Susie and I thank you.
32:30
