- 0:00Morning, welcome to today's pre-market podcast. Here are a few stocks on my radar. Aradale. Aradale has been, I mean, Aradale was one of the worst performing stocks yesterday, so it's kind of impossible to not discuss Aradale. Aradale has been on a downtrend on the last couple of days. Closed at 1,275.8. The question is, can it hold that level or will it dip below the 1,112 mark? Those are the critical points to watch for Aradale. I also have Zenit on my radar. Zenit closed.
- 0:29at 105.5. Now, for my fundamental basis, Zenith is trading below book value. Book value is around 110 or so, just a bit above 110. So, no reason why I'd stop to trade below book value. I mean, this is probably one of the big five banks in the country. Arguably, my books are top three banks in terms of top three best-run banks in countries. Zenith definitely is on my list. The other two, I guess you'll have to pay attention to my further coverage of the market in the other two banks.
- 0:58rank as probably the three best banks to own in Nigeria. But certainly, definitely, it's one of them. And there's no reason why this stock should trade below book value. Now, the critical mark to watch is, and I suspect at some point in today's 3-day session, if it remains bearish, we may see this stock either go below 100 Naira or just close around the 100 Naira mark. That, for me, would be a point at which you can switch from accumulate to buy. Accumulate means to buy in bids. Buy means you can pull in your trigger and go all hard.
- 1:26at once. So Zenit remains on my radar today. GTCO, you can't talk Zenit and not talk GTCO. I mean, just like one and two. It's almost impossible not discussing those two stocks in tandem. GTCO also being a bit soft. Now, GTCO is trading above book value, has been trading above book value. In fact, when I look at the Fugios banks, GTCO is probably the most expensive by book value, trading at about 1.27 times book value. But fundamentally speaking,
- 1:54I mean, these, in my view, they all should trade above book value, really. With the cleanups that the banks have done, there's no reason why this bank shouldn't be trading at book value. So, GTCore, yes, 1.27 times book value. But I don't think, except maybe you want to be nitpicky. Even though I have a hold view, meaning I'm sitting on the fence, you can argue that 1.27 times book value is not expensive to get into a stock like GTCore, to put it into plain numbers terms.
- 2:23This is a stock that should probably be trading at maybe 140, 150, 160 at some point in time. So, yes, maybe not happen. It may not happen in the next three months, six months, eight months, but clearly in a year or two as a 150, 160 stock. So, yes, I'd like to see, ideally, in my view, you want to get into GTCO when it's kind of trading at power within it. And we saw that a couple of weeks ago, last week or two weeks ago.
- 2:53GTCO remains on my radar looking out for further weakness. The All Share Index is also on my radar. In fact, the index measures the average performance of stocks on the market. And when I look at where the technicals are on the classic daily timeframe, the index is a sell. We closed just below the S3. The S3 support zone for the index is 225,860. The index closed at 225,690. So clearly...
- 3:21Let's see if we can maintain this zone. If we don't maintain this zone, the next zone probably we need to watch out for on the index would probably be the 220 zone, 220, 215 zone. That's where you want to watch out for. Even though I feel at this point in time, if we...
- 3:46If we close at the 225, 226 zone, then we can say, yeah, we're kind of at consolidation. But if we fall below that zone, next spot of call probably will be your 215, 218, 220 zone. So these are just some of the stocks I'll be watching. I'm also looking at Champion Breweries, looking at Consolidated Hallmark. Consolidated Hallmark is trading very much close to my buy zone.
- 4:15Book value per share for Consolidated Hallmark is 4.17. So at the moment, the stock is traded at about 1.4 times book value. Fundamentally speaking, the stock seems to have settled at this pace. Chances of this stock getting here to the 1.4 times book value zone, that would put it at 4.199 share, are quite low. But at 5.99, the stock is close to my target entry price.
- 4:45of 5.84. Those are a few stocks I've been watching. For more context, crossover to the video side, Grintika Warrior. That's the YouTube channel name. Crossover by 6 a.m. We'll have more context there. Stay safe.
