- 1:55Speaker 1: you in it fans. Do we need to talk takeaways?
- 2:02Speaker 1: I mean it was a tell all. Yeah, it was
- 2:04Speaker 1: a lot of flashback.
- 2:05Speaker 3: It was a lot of fun.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Did you have a take away after watching Beatrice?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Really? My only takeaway was, man, I want Tamaron Hall back.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, like fire Suki.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Immediately, immediate termination and bring back Tammeron Hall because she
- 2:21Speaker 3: was pressing them.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Brown's hard.
- 2:23Speaker 1: She was trying to and I love it they were
- 2:25Speaker 1: pushing back against it. Uh huh. My only takeaway was
- 2:29Speaker 1: just like, wow, Tamaron is pretty oh gorgeous, like just
- 2:33Speaker 1: her luminous skin, her beautiful bang and bot.
- 2:37Speaker 2: She's just the.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Most gorgeous woman is for real That's all I could
- 2:42Speaker 1: think about when I was watching this, and that is
- 2:45Speaker 1: my takeaway. All right, So without further ado, let's get
- 2:48Speaker 1: into our recap of Sister Wives season seven, episode nine, entitled.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Tell All, Tell All. Well, this tell all was full
- 2:56Speaker 3: of flashbacks. So the first flashback that we had was
- 2:59Speaker 3: Married telling Cody with his Keith Urban straightened hair so
- 3:05Speaker 3: bad that she wanted to go back to college and
- 3:07Speaker 3: she got a letter from UNLV. And then we also
- 3:10Speaker 3: had a flashback of her telling Robin that she was
- 3:13Speaker 3: going to college and Robin freaking the fuck out about it.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And then we had a discussion about what it meant
- 3:19Speaker 3: for the family for Mary to go back to college
- 3:22Speaker 3: and why Robin was so upset about it, and she
- 3:25Speaker 3: had to do damage control a little bit, which was
- 3:27Speaker 3: pretty funny. So what did you think about this segment
- 3:30Speaker 3: in this flashback?
- 3:31Speaker 1: I thought it was kind of a nothing burger. Actually,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I started watching it and I was thinking, are we
- 3:35Speaker 1: in the wrong season, because it feels like these flashbacks,
- 3:39Speaker 1: or some of them at least, are from like one
- 3:41Speaker 1: or two seasons ago. Yeah, but it made me remember
- 3:46Speaker 1: how much my Sister Wife's closet was and is floundering
- 3:51Speaker 1: and just seeing Robin get her back up over the
- 3:55Speaker 1: fact that Mary might have some dreams and aspirations outside
- 4:00Speaker 1: height of Robin's own goals, and like how affrontage she was.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And I think on the couch she used the word ditched.
- 4:07Speaker 1: She felt ditched by Mary, like she was meeting her
- 4:11Speaker 1: to go play outside like they were kids, and then
- 4:14Speaker 1: she decided to go play with some other girls, and
- 4:16Speaker 1: it just felt really bad. Not a betrayal per se,
- 4:20Speaker 1: but ditched.
- 4:21Speaker 3: So whack, like you're a grown woman. It's so weird
- 4:24Speaker 3: to me and to use that terminology. But I think
- 4:26Speaker 3: she was definitely just trying to manipulate the situation and
- 4:31Speaker 3: make it look like, oh, I wasn't upset because Mary
- 4:34Speaker 3: was leaving my sister Eve's closet.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I just I missed my flan.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And then it turned into a conversation about Mary like
- 4:40Speaker 3: disengaging from the whole family, which was a little bit
- 4:43Speaker 3: interesting because to me, that's just shedding a light on
- 4:47Speaker 3: the future catfishing issue, because I think the family, even
- 4:51Speaker 3: Christine echoes it, like, yeah, I've noticed Mary's totally disconnecting
- 4:56Speaker 3: from the rest of the family already. This is just
- 4:59Speaker 3: shedding on Mary ultimately cheating.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I think so, And I actually had the thought while
- 5:06Speaker 1: I was watching this, like, hmm, I wonder if Robin
- 5:11Speaker 1: was so offended that Mary did not continue to be
- 5:15Speaker 1: an ally to her with my sister Weis's closet, that
- 5:19Speaker 1: she somehow allowed herself to become a part of what
- 5:22Speaker 1: happened with the catfish, which, of course, in the most
- 5:25Speaker 1: recent season, season twenty, we had this sort of ancillar
- 5:28Speaker 1: discussion around Robin's knowledge and participation with the catfish. Nothing
- 5:33Speaker 1: was resolved. But maybe she was so pissed because Mary
- 5:37Speaker 1: was trying to bail on the business after Janelle was
- 5:40Speaker 1: already over it and Christine didn't want to do it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Plus she fucked up the pitch she did, she fucked
- 5:45Speaker 1: up the shark deck, and so maybe Mary's like her
- 5:48Speaker 1: only friend left, and all of a sudden, Mary's not
- 5:51Speaker 1: there anymore. And so in a year or so, when
- 5:54Speaker 1: Mary starts sticking a banana in her mouth, Robin's like,
- 5:57Speaker 1: fuck that babu.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I could tot he see that, like a little bit
- 6:01Speaker 3: of mean girl retaliation because her bff ditchter. I could
- 6:05Speaker 3: one hundred percent see that. Then we have a flashback
- 6:08Speaker 3: of Cody telling Michelti and her dumb boyfriend that if
- 6:12Speaker 3: they kiss each other, their hormones are going to spread
- 6:15Speaker 3: into their mouths and so stupid, they're gonna share their
- 6:20Speaker 3: DNA with each other, So don't be kissing and certainly
- 6:23Speaker 3: don't be fucking. And then we have to have this
- 6:25Speaker 3: conversation about like the parents talking to their kids about
- 6:29Speaker 3: sex ed and we talk about this with the older
- 6:31Speaker 3: kids later in the episode, and I'm like, why.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Why are we doing this?
- 6:34Speaker 2: So many other things that we could talk about, and.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Then there's dumb Christine.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I'm actually really grateful that Cody said something to Mikelty
- 6:42Speaker 1: and her boyfriend. And anytime any of my children bring
- 6:46Speaker 1: somebody in that they're romantically involved in, I want him
- 6:49Speaker 1: to give this lecture because they'll be so grossed out
- 6:52Speaker 1: with the idea of swapping hormones through our saliva that
- 6:56Speaker 1: they won't want to kiss my kids.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Embarrassing.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I was cringing, like, Christine, we don't.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Need to do this.
- 7:02Speaker 3: But I could see why she would go on this
- 7:04Speaker 3: little tangent because she was trying to like suck up
- 7:07Speaker 3: to Cody, because I think at this time this is
- 7:09Speaker 3: when shit starts happening in their marriage where he's not
- 7:13Speaker 3: fucking her as much, she's not over at her house.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Because we talk about the unequal distribution of Cody's time
- 7:20Speaker 3: later in this Dell All, and it's very obvious that
- 7:23Speaker 3: the OG three at least are not getting enough of Cody.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Robin's only getting Cody at this point. So I could
- 7:29Speaker 3: see Christine doing this as like a way to try
- 7:31Speaker 3: and be.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Like, Yeah, Cody's so great.
- 7:33Speaker 3: He didn't look like a complete idiot when he was
- 7:35Speaker 3: talking about swapping hormones when kissing. I don't know, I
- 7:40Speaker 3: just thought it was weird. Then we have a flashback
- 7:42Speaker 3: to like my Sister Wives closet, uh business, And then
- 7:48Speaker 3: we also have a flashback to the Shark Tank pitch
- 7:50Speaker 3: that Christine ultimately ruined.
- 7:52Speaker 2: For the family.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And what I loved about this is that they're making
- 7:56Speaker 1: everybody watch the flashback so good with ye talking about
- 8:01Speaker 1: how the pitch was so janky and that he was
- 8:03Speaker 1: actually pretty embarrassed after all of the investors came out
- 8:06Speaker 1: of that meeting and they kind of looked at him like, Oh,
- 8:09Speaker 1: are you serious right now?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Stan?
- 8:10Speaker 1: You want us to invest in this? And so First
- 8:13Speaker 1: of all, that's just lovely. It's so good and so harsh.
- 8:17Speaker 1: But then to see the Browns actually watching that bag,
- 8:20Speaker 1: oh god, it was so perfect, and Cody's like, they
- 8:22Speaker 1: just didn't get it. They focused on one thing that
- 8:25Speaker 1: we fumbled, and they didn't understand. We're making art. This
- 8:29Speaker 1: is to fine art that's becoming jewelry that people want
- 8:33Speaker 1: to buy, and the question is where are those people?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Have they ever purchased?
- 8:39Speaker 3: No? That was so funny to me when Cody was
- 8:42Speaker 3: going on that tension about how they're really good at
- 8:44Speaker 3: making art, and I'm like, really you are.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Robin's good at making art.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Well, she's good at sketching in her sketch book. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: make it good and then she hands it over to
- 8:54Speaker 1: somebody else to translate into jewelry. It's ridiculous. We did, though,
- 8:59Speaker 1: get to see a flashback that one based investor Ladies say, well, okay,
- 9:03Speaker 1: so you have fifteen million fresh unique visitors a month
- 9:07Speaker 1: to your website, but you've only sold five hundred pieces
- 9:11Speaker 1: of jewelry.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Can you tell me why that is?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Nope, none of them have an answer for that, not
- 9:17Speaker 1: at all. Janelle's like, well, you know, we didn't have
- 9:19Speaker 1: the funding, and we didn't really know what to do.
- 9:22Speaker 2: That's why we're here. Can you do all the work
- 9:24Speaker 2: for us? Wild?
- 9:26Speaker 3: So great? And then when we talk about Christine's failed pitch,
- 9:30Speaker 3: like of course Christine's laughing about it on the couch,
- 9:32Speaker 3: but you can see Robin's hard jaw like she's still
- 9:35Speaker 3: mad about it. Cody's also giving her like kind of
- 9:38Speaker 3: a dirty look, like, oh, you ruined it. It's not
- 9:40Speaker 3: our failed business model, it's not the ugly art, it's
- 9:43Speaker 3: not the high prices. It was Christine's comment. She ruined it.
- 9:47Speaker 3: And then he does confirm that they haven't received any
- 9:50Speaker 3: of the funding from the investors even still, which is
- 9:54Speaker 3: really funny. So they never got the money.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, is it ever gonna be addressed
- 9:58Speaker 1: and like upcoming season about these investors and their investments,
- 10:02Speaker 1: or we just gonna forget that this actually happened.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I know, they go on to like pitch it to
- 10:07Speaker 3: other people, and they go to do they go try
- 10:11Speaker 3: and do more of these art shows and stuff like that,
- 10:13Speaker 3: and it's obviously completely unsuccessful.
- 10:15Speaker 2: It's a it's a flop.
- 10:17Speaker 3: And then we have Mary's like catfishing thing that kind
- 10:20Speaker 3: of order overshadows all of it, and then you know
- 10:23Speaker 3: the ultimate demise of the family where it's like, we
- 10:26Speaker 3: don't care about my Sister Wives Closet anymore at all.
- 10:30Speaker 3: And then we have a flashback to their little therapy
- 10:33Speaker 3: session with Nancy where Cody like totally crashed out and
- 10:38Speaker 3: got mad because he doesn't feel like he's the leader
- 10:40Speaker 3: of the family at all whatsoever. And then we have
- 10:43Speaker 3: this weird discussion about like who is the leader in
- 10:47Speaker 3: the family. Why can't one of the wives.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Be when to Robin exactly, and like.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Why can't They were talking about it with My Sister
- 10:54Speaker 3: Wives Closet too, like why can't Robin be the CEO
- 10:57Speaker 3: of my Sister Wives Closet? Like how do you guys
- 11:01Speaker 3: delegate all of the work and all this stuff? And
- 11:03Speaker 3: Janelle kind of takes the head with this where she's like, well,
- 11:06Speaker 3: we have to figure out our roles and everything's decided
- 11:09Speaker 3: by committee, and we don't want one person to be
- 11:11Speaker 3: the leader and tamer and Hall starts to press Cody
- 11:14Speaker 3: about it and be like, well, why can't you be
- 11:17Speaker 3: the leader because you're the man and this is your
- 11:19Speaker 3: lifestyle and if the wives can't be the leader, why
- 11:21Speaker 3: can't you be it? And Cody seems so uncomfortable by it,
- 11:25Speaker 3: which is interesting, like, why do you want to be
- 11:28Speaker 3: in this lifestyle? Why do you want to be a
- 11:29Speaker 3: plural husband If you can't just take charge and be
- 11:32Speaker 3: the patriarch, it's so weird.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I don't think it's a natural inclination of Cody Brown
- 11:37Speaker 1: to be that Win Brown kind of a masculine person.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I think maybe through the years, especially in those early years,
- 11:46Speaker 1: he probably tried to assert himself as some kind of
- 11:49Speaker 1: a leader, but I think he probably immediately got some
- 11:54Speaker 1: bombastic pushback from Mary. Then we know that Janelle up
- 11:58Speaker 1: and leaves him once or twhy in their early relationship,
- 12:01Speaker 1: She's like, peace out, this is chaos, I'm out of here.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And then you have Christine who's just, you know, very
- 12:08Speaker 1: very emotional, and he doesn't know how to manage that either.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So maybe he tried in the beginning and then he
- 12:12Speaker 1: just gave up at some point. But now that Robbin's
- 12:15Speaker 1: in the family, now he has an alliance and now,
- 12:19Speaker 1: at least in a kind of a hidden way, with
- 12:21Speaker 1: a hidden hand, she can be the head bitch in
- 12:24Speaker 1: charge and he can get done what he wants to
- 12:26Speaker 1: get done. She performatively says that Cody's in charge mm hmm,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and that she wouldn't want to have his job or
- 12:33Speaker 1: be in his role because it's so difficult. But truly,
- 12:37Speaker 1: behind the scenes, she's the one who's telling Cody what
- 12:40Speaker 1: she thinks should happen, and he's the one who's executing it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 12:44Speaker 3: She even tries to like throw all of the wives
- 12:46Speaker 3: under the bus and say, like, oh, well, we just
- 12:48Speaker 3: always give Cody a ton of trouble. And granted, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 3: they probably do give him a little bit of trouble,
- 12:54Speaker 3: but Cody is not an easy person to be around
- 12:58Speaker 3: to experience, so like it's not all just the wives.
- 13:02Speaker 3: And Cody also throws the wives under the bus, saying like,
- 13:05Speaker 3: if he wanted to be the boss and if he
- 13:07Speaker 3: wanted to be in charge, he would have married different women,
- 13:10Speaker 3: implying that these women just kind of make it impossible, yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 3: and walk all over him and dominate everything, and I
- 13:16Speaker 3: just don't appreciate that that, like Tammern didn't. Maybe she
- 13:19Speaker 3: did press them on it, and maybe it was edited
- 13:21Speaker 3: out because later in the episode there was a little
- 13:24Speaker 3: scene with Christine walking out that they seem to have
- 13:27Speaker 3: edited some shit out there. And then we have Tameron
- 13:31Speaker 3: asking Cody about sharing time with all of the wives,
- 13:36Speaker 3: and this was really interesting, like a nice little nugget
- 13:39Speaker 3: in this tell all, because Cody's obviously uncomfortable by this conversation,
- 13:44Speaker 3: and I think Tamern asks about like, who is the
- 13:48Speaker 3: last person to express to you that they don't get
- 13:51Speaker 3: enough time with you? Because he says something like at
- 13:54Speaker 3: least once a week, I'm getting complaints about how I'm
- 13:57Speaker 3: not even with my time, how I'm not hanging out
- 14:01Speaker 3: with somebody enough, And Tamar's like, well, who said it?
- 14:04Speaker 3: And Cody's like, oh, we're not divulging that because the
- 14:06Speaker 3: cameras aren't allowed in my bedroom or aren't allowed in
- 14:09Speaker 3: our bedrooms, and Tamaran's like, I'm not asking about your
- 14:12Speaker 3: sex life, bro, I'm just asking who complained about you
- 14:16Speaker 3: not spending enough time with them? And then she's like, well,
- 14:18Speaker 3: maybe I won't to ask you that question. Maybe I'll
- 14:20Speaker 3: ask the women. And Janelle's actually the first person to
- 14:24Speaker 3: be like, yeah, I said it, and then Christine's like, yep,
- 14:27Speaker 3: I tell him, and then Mary says yeah, I tell.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Him that too.
- 14:30Speaker 3: So obviously all three the og three are complaining to
- 14:33Speaker 3: Cody apparently weekly.
- 14:35Speaker 1: That Robin didn't say anything on the cow Robin was
- 14:38Speaker 1: safe and to Robin and she said nothing because she's
- 14:41Speaker 1: getting all the time.
- 14:42Speaker 3: She is getting all the time, and she looked mad
- 14:45Speaker 3: that these wives spoke up about that, and Cody seemed
- 14:48Speaker 3: upset about it. He's like, wow, okay, I guess we're
- 14:51Speaker 3: gonna talk about it, because he tried to.
- 14:53Speaker 2: In his devents a little bit.
- 14:54Speaker 3: He tried to be like, no, we're not going to
- 14:56Speaker 3: talk about it, We're not gonna bring that up on TV.
- 14:58Speaker 3: And then they just do it, which I think is
- 15:01Speaker 3: pretty great.
- 15:02Speaker 1: And that's why we love Tameron Hall. And that's why
- 15:04Speaker 1: you need an interviewer like Tameron Hall who's willing to
- 15:08Speaker 1: ask a follow up question, Okay, like who said that? Okay,
- 15:12Speaker 1: you don't want to tell me, why don't you, ladies
- 15:15Speaker 1: tell me who says that or who feels that way?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Like I loved that about her. But still you can't
- 15:21Speaker 1: crack these Browns. They don't want to share their dirty
- 15:23Speaker 1: little secrets.
- 15:25Speaker 3: And I can understand, like why they would be uncomfortable
- 15:27Speaker 3: by Tameron's like line of questioning because she does kind
- 15:30Speaker 3: of come across like more like an interviewer than like
- 15:34Speaker 3: a tell all host, Like she's like definitely pressing them
- 15:37Speaker 3: on their lifestyle and pressing them on sharing time and
- 15:41Speaker 3: the tenets of their religion. At one point, like they're
- 15:43Speaker 3: talking about polygamy with the kids, and that kind of
- 15:46Speaker 3: segues into another conversation with the older kids. Think about
- 15:49Speaker 3: like Logan and some of the other older kids saying
- 15:52Speaker 3: that they don't want to live polygamy, and Tamman Hall's like, well,
- 15:55Speaker 3: why wouldn't you want your kids to live this lifestyle?
- 15:58Speaker 3: This is a tenet of your religion, and if you
- 16:00Speaker 3: guys feel called to it, why wouldn't you expect or
- 16:03Speaker 3: want your kids to live it? And all of the
- 16:05Speaker 3: Browns just kind of flaunter and they're.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Like, oh, they can choose their faith.
- 16:10Speaker 1: This was our calling, but our kids are entitled to
- 16:13Speaker 1: have their own calling and they might not be called
- 16:15Speaker 1: to it, and that's okay. But that is such an
- 16:18Speaker 1: interesting question because if you want to be in the
- 16:20Speaker 1: aub or if you want to be in this kind
- 16:22Speaker 1: of sect of fundamentalist Mormonism, is it an article of
- 16:27Speaker 1: your faith? Is it like a commandment that you have
- 16:30Speaker 1: to engage in polygamist relationships right, and that the answer
- 16:35Speaker 1: to that wasn't clear to me, And I love that
- 16:38Speaker 1: at least the Browns were a bit more progressive in
- 16:40Speaker 1: wanting their kids to choose for themselves. But like, is
- 16:43Speaker 1: that in alignment with the religion?
- 16:45Speaker 3: We didn't get that answer, and to me it seemed like, no,
- 16:49Speaker 3: it's not in alignment.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I mean, if they're not going at this point, we
- 16:53Speaker 3: know since they're in Vegas, they're not going to their
- 16:55Speaker 3: AUB church anymore because they don't have an AUB base
- 16:58Speaker 3: in Vegas, so they're already distancing themselves from this faith.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I think at this point. And I think that was what.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Was interesting about it about this part in the tell
- 17:08Speaker 3: all to me was that this is like a little
- 17:10Speaker 3: crack in their faith foundation because now we know the
- 17:15Speaker 3: Browns have completely abandoned like the AUB entirely. I mean,
- 17:19Speaker 3: Janelle and Mary asked for spiritual releases. I feel like
- 17:22Speaker 3: almost as a performative thing, just to get all of
- 17:24Speaker 3: their ties out from care from the kid performative.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Personally, they wouldn't have gone to like all of that
- 17:31Speaker 1: trouble if it didn't mean something to them. I would hope.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I guess, I guess, but it's like at this point,
- 17:37Speaker 3: my point is like they have completely abandoned the faith.
- 17:41Speaker 3: They don't believe in plural marriage anymore, especially Cody, who
- 17:45Speaker 3: was championing champions the entire time. Christine was championing this
- 17:50Speaker 3: this entire time, and now they're just like, okay, whatever.
- 17:53Speaker 3: But in this tell all in season seven, when Tameran's
- 17:55Speaker 3: confronting them on it, they all just kind of don't
- 17:57Speaker 3: have an answer for why they don't want their kid
- 18:00Speaker 3: to or why they don't expect their kids to live polygamy.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Now I agree with it. I agree they shouldn't force
- 18:07Speaker 3: their kids to live polygamy just because it's their faith.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I think it's great that they're progressive, and I think
- 18:12Speaker 3: it's great that the Browns have always maintained that. But
- 18:15Speaker 3: it is interesting and it is cool to see Tameron
- 18:19Speaker 3: press them on something about their faith.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Well last season I believe it was and I could
- 18:24Speaker 1: be getting this mixed up with Christine's books, so forgive me.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Like I recall them saying that the aub was asking
- 18:32Speaker 1: Cody like to cut his hair, and they were very
- 18:35Speaker 1: strict about certain things, certainly about privacy and not like
- 18:39Speaker 1: going public with the lifestyle and the way that the
- 18:42Speaker 1: religion works. It would be funny to me if, like,
- 18:45Speaker 1: one of the main reasons Cody ultimately breaks his connection
- 18:49Speaker 1: with the aub is because they asked him to cut
- 18:51Speaker 1: his hair and he just couldn't bring himself to do it,
- 18:54Speaker 1: and so he left. But I also think that there
- 18:57Speaker 1: are just at this time, there are some cracks in
- 19:01Speaker 1: the foundation of their faith, and so maybe that's informing
- 19:04Speaker 1: some of the answers that they're not giving in this
- 19:06Speaker 1: tell all exactly.
- 19:08Speaker 3: And then we segue in the tell all to talking
- 19:11Speaker 3: to the kids, and it was more interesting for the
- 19:14Speaker 3: older kids in my opinion. Like the younger kids, I'm
- 19:16Speaker 3: just like, Okay, we don't need we don't need to
- 19:18Speaker 3: ask when about the camera crew, Like she's like eight
- 19:21Speaker 3: years old at this point, but whatever. But we start
- 19:23Speaker 3: with the older kids, and Tamberin Hall is like, so,
- 19:26Speaker 3: I've been doing some digging and some investigative journalism and
- 19:30Speaker 3: I've been stalking your instagrams and Logan, do you want
- 19:33Speaker 3: to tell me about your first trip?
- 19:35Speaker 1: Well, first, Logan's like, well, you didn't find anything on me.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'm not on social media. And she's like, oh, you're not.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And they put up these pictures so totally shirtless, his
- 19:45Speaker 1: before and after because he's been working out.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Got a great physique. He's done to fitness fitness Pizza
- 19:53Speaker 1: in my mouth, but he does look great. But I
- 19:55Speaker 1: thought that was funny.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of funny. And we kind of
- 19:59Speaker 3: talked to all the older kids about what they're doing
- 20:01Speaker 3: in their lives and if they want to lift polygamy,
- 20:04Speaker 3: and of course most of them are like, no, absolutely not.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I think Leon's the only one that's like, yeah, I'm
- 20:11Speaker 3: gonna live plural marriage, but like later in my life
- 20:13Speaker 3: because I'm gonna be a doctor or whatever or something
- 20:16Speaker 3: like that. But we ultimately know that doesn't pan out
- 20:19Speaker 3: from Leon. And then Tameron asks them about the kissing
- 20:24Speaker 3: conversation that Cody had with McKelty and I think we
- 20:27Speaker 3: have to watch the flashback again at one point and
- 20:30Speaker 3: Tameron Hall is like, do you guys think kissing's okay?
- 20:32Speaker 3: And of course all of these young adult teenagers are like, yeah, we.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Do, soaking's okay and Anal's okay, that's not actual sex.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Exactly, Just like why are we asking this question?
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, very cringe. I loved though, when they went to McKelty,
- 20:49Speaker 1: what about you, mchelt, Like, what's your future plan? She's like,
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna move to New York. I'm gonna be a
- 20:55Speaker 1: single mom. I don't want to have a child. I
- 20:57Speaker 1: just want to adopt a bunch of kids. I never
- 20:59Speaker 1: want to get married. I just want to be in
- 21:01Speaker 1: fashion design. Yeah, okay, Like, oh that's so adorable. It
- 21:06Speaker 1: is adorable and cringe it is.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, if I had a camera crew on
- 21:11Speaker 3: me at seventeen eighteen, I.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Would be so parents because of.
- 21:15Speaker 3: The shit that I was saying back then. And then
- 21:18Speaker 3: Tamburn sits with the younger kids, of course, and we
- 21:21Speaker 3: have to hear from Gwen, who's kind of spazzing out a.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Little bit bit, a little quirky. Yeah, and we heard
- 21:28Speaker 1: from Brianna, and I don't remember what any of them said.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I just remember how adorable Savannah was. I know, like, ultimately,
- 21:36Speaker 1: all she says is.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I like living in the.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Cold des Sact because I can play with somebody all
- 21:41Speaker 1: the time, so cutdorable.
- 21:44Speaker 3: I was noticing how they were dressed, so like Aurora
- 21:48Speaker 3: and Brianna were dressed in their Sunday best and the
- 21:50Speaker 3: rest of the kids were just dressed like whatever, kind
- 21:52Speaker 3: of casual. But I noticed, even like with the wives
- 21:55Speaker 3: and Cody, like Robin was in her nice heels and
- 21:58Speaker 3: she had her makeup and her hair did I mean
- 22:00Speaker 3: they all did, but she looked very nice and improper,
- 22:04Speaker 3: whereas the other wives were just kind of casual Mormon.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Casual target casual.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yes. Yes, I was just like, I wonder why.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Because they are getting more money and they're caught up
- 22:14Speaker 1: in appearances.
- 22:15Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking too, girl.
- 22:18Speaker 3: And then we go back to the adults and then
- 22:20Speaker 3: we have like a last roundabout of questions. So we
- 22:25Speaker 3: start off with the trip to Missouri, which was like
- 22:27Speaker 3: the most recent episode basically of the season, and meeting
- 22:31Speaker 3: the degenerates, I mean the Richard's family, right, the Christian polygamist.
- 22:37Speaker 3: We also have to talk about the septic tank debacle.
- 22:40Speaker 2: With the RV.
- 22:41Speaker 1: The best highlight of the entire season is Cody getting
- 22:46Speaker 1: splashed with shit.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yes, and of course Tameron Hall shows the clip of
- 22:52Speaker 3: that again it was so good, which was really great,
- 22:56Speaker 3: and then Cody proceeds to blame the boys about it
- 23:00Speaker 3: again again, which is so annoying.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Yeah, like, if you don't know that they did it,
- 23:05Speaker 1: if we have them on camera saying I didn't do it.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I did exactly what you taught me to do, and
- 23:11Speaker 1: you're still months later doubling down that the boys must
- 23:14Speaker 1: have done it. I just take some responsibility for anything
- 23:16Speaker 1: in your life. Cody Brown, is it?
- 23:19Speaker 2: He literally can? I know?
- 23:20Speaker 1: It's so it drives me crazy.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I hate it so much. And then at one point
- 23:25Speaker 3: in the conversation about shitwater and misery and the Richard's family,
- 23:29Speaker 3: Christine gets kind of uncomfortable and then gets up and leaves.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Well, this is weird to me, Yeah, because the way
- 23:38Speaker 1: they ultimately present it is that Christine got upset by
- 23:41Speaker 1: something and had to like take a break. Yeah, but
- 23:44Speaker 1: what it felt like as we watched it was that
- 23:47Speaker 1: Christine had to go to the bathroom, Like it's the
- 23:49Speaker 1: natural pause in the conversation. Can I just like steal
- 23:52Speaker 1: away for a moment.
- 23:53Speaker 2: I'll be right back.
- 23:54Speaker 1: But when we get back, Cameron presents it as something
- 23:58Speaker 1: about babies and Robin having more babies, and this somehow
- 24:04Speaker 1: upset Christine and she didn't want to talk about it
- 24:06Speaker 1: because it is her value that they not talk about
- 24:10Speaker 1: when they're gonna have babies or what they're doing with
- 24:12Speaker 1: their reproductive systems or I don't know what the problem was.
- 24:15Speaker 1: They seem to be okay talking about children within the family.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know what that was about, or if
- 24:20Speaker 3: maybe they edited it.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Seemed to edit it. It seemed it didn't make fakery.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I think she had to pee.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Maybe, I don't know, but like Tamra was like doing
- 24:29Speaker 3: a voiceover, acting like Christine was super uncomfortable and upset
- 24:33Speaker 3: by something, and Robin looked mad.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And then Robin told her specifically, we don't talk about
- 24:39Speaker 1: each other's babies. Yeah, we're not talking about babies in
- 24:42Speaker 1: this interview, And like, okay, but you have celebrations when
- 24:45Speaker 1: you make pregnancy announcements, So why is this such an issue?
- 24:48Speaker 3: Well, and Tambor was framing it like we were going
- 24:50Speaker 3: to talk about Robin and Cody's personal private conversation that
- 24:55Speaker 3: was caught on camera about her wanting to have a
- 24:57Speaker 3: baby and wanting to step away from my Rives closet
- 25:00Speaker 3: because it was too much work, right and she needed
- 25:02Speaker 3: to have a baby or whatever, and then we were
- 25:04Speaker 3: just not going to talk about it. So it's kind
- 25:06Speaker 3: of bizarre, So that happened. Christine goes and leaves to
- 25:10Speaker 3: pee or something or cry, I don't know, or both,
- 25:12Speaker 3: and then comes back. And then we talk about Cody
- 25:16Speaker 3: potentially having a fifth wife, and this is like also
- 25:19Speaker 3: a nothing burger, because Cody, of course is like, it's
- 25:21Speaker 3: not a mast's, it's not a my birth chart to
- 25:24Speaker 3: have a fifth wife.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and he says more specifically that there's already a
- 25:30Speaker 1: time issue, like he's at capacity with how much time
- 25:33Speaker 1: he's got to spend with all four of his wives,
- 25:36Speaker 1: not to mention his nine thousand children, and he just
- 25:39Speaker 1: can't imagine onboarding a fifth wife and like having to
- 25:42Speaker 1: figure out the schedule for that. So the answer is no.
- 25:46Speaker 3: And fair yeah, because you can't manage the four that
- 25:48Speaker 3: you have right now, h obviously. And then we end
- 25:52Speaker 3: the tell all with Tameran asking if they think that
- 25:56Speaker 3: their family is a success, and everyone just kind of
- 26:00Speaker 3: gives like nondescript answers. I think at one point Janelle
- 26:04Speaker 3: says something.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Like, well, our family has been like.
- 26:07Speaker 3: A huge challenge but also the biggest blessing in our lives.
- 26:10Speaker 2: But it's been really challenging though.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Thanks, And then they say I think Christine says, like
- 26:15Speaker 3: with twenty two people in the family, life's never boring
- 26:19Speaker 3: the end and.
- 26:21Speaker 1: That was the end YEP of the entire season. Well,
- 26:26Speaker 1: I think we should give a grade for season seven.
- 26:29Speaker 1: It was a short season.
- 26:31Speaker 3: It was short, so that bumps it up a little bit. Yeah,
- 26:34Speaker 3: So I don't know, maybe like a C minus.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we did get the shark tanks. Did we get
- 26:40Speaker 1: in this season or was it the previous isn't they
- 26:42Speaker 1: touched upon? Was it this season?
- 26:43Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 26:44Speaker 1: That was awesome. That was pure reality television gold. We
- 26:49Speaker 1: got Cody being splattered by fecal matter ry those are bars. Yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 1: but it's kind of boring. Yeah, and I guess that
- 27:00Speaker 1: this season was part of the previous season, like it
- 27:03Speaker 1: was all when season, Yeah.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Because tamer and Hall at one point in this tell
- 27:07Speaker 3: all said they had been on air for five seasons.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Yeah, she said it was the season five tell all.
- 27:12Speaker 3: So I think there's some weird shit going on with
- 27:16Speaker 3: like Discovery Plus and probably how they upload the episode.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And how they're organizing it retroactively. I don't know. I
- 27:22Speaker 1: wasn't there for the first time, so I don't know
- 27:24Speaker 1: how they played out. But yeah, I thought that this
- 27:27Speaker 1: season was kind of boring. I'm really ready to get
- 27:31Speaker 1: to the Catfish.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I know.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Season eight and season nine for sure are crazy because
- 27:36Speaker 3: there's just way more tension that you can sense throughout
- 27:39Speaker 3: the episodes. And they're in the cul de sac now.
- 27:41Speaker 3: So now Christine and Mary, they're seeing how much time
- 27:46Speaker 3: Cody spending at Robin's house. Janelle's having her renaissance right now,
- 27:51Speaker 3: so she's fine, She's lit.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Don't we have some kids getting married soon? Like, isn't
- 27:55Speaker 1: Maddie gonna Mary Caleb who she's been dating on the
- 27:59Speaker 1: down low in a appropriately since she was a very
- 28:01Speaker 1: young girl. Yes, allegedly we have Maddie and Caleb Aspen.
- 28:06Speaker 3: I think Aspen gets married. I don't know if she
- 28:07Speaker 3: gets married in season eight and nine, though, I think
- 28:09Speaker 3: it's later.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Is it Maddie? And then MICHELTI because Mickelty gets super competitive?
- 28:14Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, Michelty does want to get married to Tony,
- 28:17Speaker 3: and Christine's like super upset by it, by it.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I can't wait to get into too many tacos, Tony girl.
- 28:22Speaker 1: It's crazy. Yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 3: And then also Logan starts dating Michelle at this point,
- 28:26Speaker 3: Oh okay, and then they take like a family trip.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I remember this.
- 28:28Speaker 3: They take a family trip up to Alaska and they
- 28:30Speaker 3: act like they're all happy and everything, and it's totally
- 28:33Speaker 3: chaotic and ridiculous. So season eight nine I'm excited about.
- 28:37Speaker 1: So the trip up to Alaska is also around the
- 28:40Speaker 1: time of the Catfish And I remember this because I
- 28:42Speaker 1: actually went to Alaska right around the same time when
- 28:46Speaker 1: I was watching it, So I don't know when it
- 28:48Speaker 1: was filmed, but like I had gone to the restaurant
- 28:51Speaker 1: where Mary was telling the rest of the family that
- 28:53Speaker 1: she might not stay in the family. I'm like, I
- 28:55Speaker 1: was right there. I know exactly where they are and
- 28:57Speaker 1: know where their hotel is. So that's probably about the
- 29:00Speaker 1: time that I picked up oh full time with sister wife.
- 29:03Speaker 1: So I'm excited about it me too. Now, I do
- 29:06Speaker 1: have one other question for you. I know the answer
- 29:08Speaker 1: to it for you, but I also want to ask
- 29:10Speaker 1: you and everybody else, did you hear that Welcome to
- 29:14Speaker 1: Plath Bill is returning to our televisions March thirty First,
- 29:20Speaker 1: they thank yes, bitch, this month they are coming right back.
- 29:23Speaker 1: And it's funny because I was up on the reddits
- 29:26Speaker 1: and I'm part of like a couple of the Welcome
- 29:28Speaker 1: to Plathfull Subs, and they were talking about like, oh yeah, no,
- 29:32Speaker 1: TLC said they're discontinuing the show. It's canceled once Olivia exited,
- 29:38Speaker 1: they didn't want to do their show anymore. And I
- 29:40Speaker 1: was just like, yes, for real, I'd be so upset.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Oh God, seven, are you sure about that? Because like,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I'm really invested in, like what happens with Kim and
- 29:52Speaker 1: her alleged alcoholism and fortification fornication. I am invested in
- 29:57Speaker 1: Baboo Bob Berry yeah, and being on the apps and stuff.
- 30:01Speaker 1: And I'm invested in Lydia and her potentially gay husband.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm invested in the rage disorder of Micah Isaac and Ethan. Yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 1: like I want to know and also want to know
- 30:12Speaker 1: what's going on in Montana.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Uh huh with little Mariah? What's going on?
- 30:15Speaker 1: You got a mayor? You got yourself a cowboy? I
- 30:19Speaker 1: hope so I would love that. I would love that
- 30:22Speaker 1: for her anyway, So it's coming back.
- 30:23Speaker 2: It is coming back.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Did you watch the preview that.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I sent her? I watched the preview.
- 30:27Speaker 1: What were some of your thoughts.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I'm just like, Okay, Kim, I'd be nice. I'm just
- 30:34Speaker 3: I'll just leave it that Kim's looking rough and Ken
- 30:41Speaker 3: is going to be involved more in this season, it
- 30:44Speaker 3: looks like, because there's some scenes with Kim and Ken
- 30:48Speaker 3: and then some issues between Kim and Lydia, right which I'm.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Very correntified Lydia Plath who has some side of some
- 30:59Speaker 1: kind kind of a confrontation with Kim, and I hope
- 31:03Speaker 1: she confronts her, and I hope, so you made me
- 31:06Speaker 1: take care of all your kids while you were out
- 31:08Speaker 1: drinking and fucking this one eyed kN.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Not only that, but like you and doctrinated me into
- 31:14Speaker 3: this religion and then you just became a cheating alcoholic.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Just abandoned it and walked away from the religion.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:20Speaker 1: And I also loved in the previews seeing Lydia coming
- 31:23Speaker 1: for the rest of the family because by this point
- 31:26Speaker 1: she's seen the footage of them totally dragging her husband, yes, Zach,
- 31:31Speaker 1: and so she's pissed about it.
- 31:32Speaker 3: And I love that. I think that's great that she's
- 31:34Speaker 3: defending her.
- 31:35Speaker 1: We need drama, We do need make if we don't
- 31:38Speaker 1: have drama, which obviously Olivia brought a lot of drama
- 31:42Speaker 1: for sure. Nutcracker, Nutcracker Veronica brought a lot of drama,
- 31:48Speaker 1: but without those two women serving all the drama, is
- 31:52Speaker 1: there enough inherent in this family amongst the Hitler youth,
- 31:57Speaker 1: I think to maintain the drama. I think so I
- 32:01Speaker 1: look forward to it.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I'm really excited.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I actually want them to succeed, because that'll burn Olivia
- 32:06Speaker 1: so bad.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Oh, she'll be so jealous.
- 32:09Speaker 1: She's gonna be recapping every episode. She's gonna be on
- 32:12Speaker 1: every podcast. She could possibly prop herself up on Talk
- 32:15Speaker 1: and Match it.
- 32:16Speaker 2: She's still talking about it on her Instagram.
- 32:18Speaker 3: She has nothing in her photography business.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Okay, and which Jina trusted boyfriend?
- 32:23Speaker 3: I guess I don't even know if they're dating anymore,
- 32:25Speaker 3: because she's still traveling the world, like multiple countries.
- 32:29Speaker 1: She's subsidizing his travel to Oh I'm sorry, he's got
- 32:32Speaker 1: to stay home because he's a dog walker. Yeah, okay, grreact.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Well, I'm still dubious about how miss Olivia Plath is
- 32:39Speaker 3: able to afford how much she travels. Because she's traveling,
- 32:42Speaker 3: is she going to Dubai everywhere?
- 32:46Speaker 2: Hopefully not. I'm just wondering hopefully not not right now.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I don't know, honey, it looks like it has potential. Yes,
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'll see if they can carry a season without the
