- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Podcast, Hello Everybody.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Are scrubbing in. I was just matching your town. We
- 0:21Speaker 3: are scrubbing in, Hello everybody. Tonya is in Mexico.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I am in Mexico, but her voice is here. That's right.
- 0:36Speaker 3: We are actually pretaping this episode because Tanya and Robbie
- 0:39Speaker 3: are on their actual one year celebration of marriage in Mexico.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Hopey'all are having a great time over there.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I know.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's so funny.
- 0:47Speaker 4: After our anniversary, like the first day after, I was like,
- 0:50Speaker 4: we're in our second year of marriage, Like, I hope
- 0:53Speaker 4: the excitement and like the everybody's always everybody always tells
- 0:56Speaker 4: me that we're still on the honeymoon phase, and I'm like,
- 0:58Speaker 4: I hope that never goes way.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It's the honeymoon phase is there as long as you
- 1:04Speaker 3: keep it there.
- 1:06Speaker 5: I think, so mindset you think?
- 1:08Speaker 3: Do you know what's so interesting? I used to like,
- 1:11Speaker 3: I think this during a time where maybe Haley and
- 1:13Speaker 3: I were like not communicating our best or something a
- 1:17Speaker 3: couple of years into our relationship, and I would romanticize
- 1:20Speaker 3: the honeymoon face so much like I'd be like like
- 1:22Speaker 3: nostalgic for it, and now like we're about to have
- 1:26Speaker 3: our eight year anniversary and it is crazy. I am
- 1:29Speaker 3: literally like this is my favorite stage of our relationship.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Like I don't crave that at all because I feel
- 1:35Speaker 3: like we're like I feel so safe and like healthy.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And I think in that phase it was like exciting
- 1:40Speaker 3: and like new and obviously she was the first woman
- 1:42Speaker 3: and I'm falling in love for the first time, and
- 1:44Speaker 3: it was like, ah, scrambled thoughts, but it was exciting.
- 1:47Speaker 3: But I like also wasn't sleeping because it was like yeah, yeah, well,
- 1:52Speaker 3: just like it's like the excitement. And also she was
- 1:54Speaker 3: on tour and we were like learning how to communicate,
- 1:57Speaker 3: and I romanticize it, but we actually were going through
- 2:00Speaker 3: a lot because we were getting to know each other
- 2:02Speaker 3: and learn each other. And now I'm just like, oh,
- 2:05Speaker 3: I love right now.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I literally do the exact same thing. Like I romanticize
- 2:09Speaker 4: the beginning. I'm like, oh, We're never gonna have that
- 2:11Speaker 4: like that feeling when we were newly dating and like
- 2:14Speaker 4: finding out all these things, you know, like now we
- 2:16Speaker 4: know each other like the back of our hands, yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 4: and you're so right in the beginning, Like I'm like,
- 2:21Speaker 4: we broke up in the beginning, you know, I mean
- 2:23Speaker 4: it was rough waters the first year, and I forget
- 2:25Speaker 4: the like the navigating and like finding our footing as
- 2:29Speaker 4: a couple, because it's true you romanticize like all those
- 2:32Speaker 4: like butterflies, the giddiness and the like the heat of
- 2:35Speaker 4: it all, and like, I'm so with you. I've been
- 2:37Speaker 4: wrote like in our anniversary card, I'm like, I actually
- 2:40Speaker 4: didn't think that I would love him more than I
- 2:42Speaker 4: did on our wedding day, and I love him more today,
- 2:44Speaker 4: like because when you go through life experiences and like
- 2:48Speaker 4: you go through hard things, like seeing the way he's
- 2:51Speaker 4: shown up for me, like it just it's like you
- 2:54Speaker 4: can't compare to that.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Well. I also think speaking to your situation, Uh, you
- 3:02Speaker 3: you have these moments that are not that y'all haven't
- 3:05Speaker 3: had hard moments, but you have like everything you marry
- 3:09Speaker 3: someone and you're like, oh, it's the high moments. The
- 3:11Speaker 3: good moments are so great, and I have this person
- 3:13Speaker 3: so easy to love each other. But then you go
- 3:16Speaker 3: through something hard and that's how you really see, like
- 3:18Speaker 3: how is this partner I've chosen, Like where are they
- 3:21Speaker 3: going to be for me in this because you don't
- 3:23Speaker 3: know until you know, right, and you couldn't have known
- 3:25Speaker 3: that was going to come within the first year of
- 3:27Speaker 3: your marriage, but you got like a very quick like
- 3:32Speaker 3: who Robbie is?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah, And like I had so many girls message me
- 3:35Speaker 4: saying like you're so lucky that you have someone that
- 3:39Speaker 4: like makes it a priority to come to all your
- 3:40Speaker 4: appointments with you. Like I didn't have that, and like
- 3:43Speaker 4: it was never even a question, Like I didn't even
- 3:46Speaker 4: I wasn't even asking him to come with me. It
- 3:48Speaker 4: was just like I'll be there type of thing, you know,
- 3:50Speaker 4: And like that's the type of stuff that like really matters.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I'm glad we've we've all found that.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Ye yeah for us eight years, Like you're almost at
- 4:02Speaker 2: a decade.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I know, we're almost a decade. It's like it's so
- 4:06Speaker 3: weird to think of the time as eight years, but
- 4:08Speaker 3: in my mind it doesn't. It's like all blurred into
- 4:10Speaker 3: like three.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Like eight, Like you're combing close to a decade.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I know. That's I think, like common law marriage, isn't
- 4:16Speaker 3: that like seven years?
- 4:17Speaker 5: I think it is.
- 4:18Speaker 3: We've already that's old news.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Yeah, we speaking of are you getting asked a lot
- 4:25Speaker 4: when you guys are getting married every day?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Oh?
- 4:27Speaker 4: Because I get asked a lot, and I'm like, it's
- 4:31Speaker 4: probably what Why what.
- 4:34Speaker 3: If I told? What? If I was like, yeah, we're
- 4:35Speaker 3: already married, that'd be.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Epic for you. No, it's just like in general.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Like yeah, no, but I really do. I always tell
- 4:47Speaker 3: people like this year, specifically up until the summer, is
- 4:50Speaker 3: Haley's movie, because it's her baby and she's worked on
- 4:53Speaker 3: it for so so long that I don't even want
- 4:55Speaker 3: her to think about planning what. I'm like, you and
- 4:57Speaker 3: I you're to get we're together forever and like I
- 5:00Speaker 3: can't wait to marry you and have the wedding and
- 5:02Speaker 3: plan that. But like all your attention needs to go
- 5:04Speaker 3: on this movie because it's the year of the movie girls.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Like girls, do you have me June nineteenth being your
- 5:10Speaker 3: b in theaters?
- 5:11Speaker 4: I do feel like like I because we just hit
- 5:14Speaker 4: the year, Like I was remembering how much of Like
- 5:18Speaker 4: my Men. It was literally all I had in my
- 5:20Speaker 4: brain for four months. Your wedding, Yeah, yeah, like the planning,
- 5:25Speaker 4: the details, Like it's so much in your head that
- 5:29Speaker 4: like I couldn't imagine having a movie coming out and
- 5:33Speaker 4: trying to do that at the same time.
- 5:35Speaker 3: And that's what I told her. I'm like, listen, I
- 5:37Speaker 3: don't really want to. I also don't want to plan
- 5:39Speaker 3: this alone, so like, I don't. I'm not expecting you
- 5:42Speaker 3: to be no, no, no, like with my making partner decisions,
- 5:48Speaker 3: my own decisions like dress and stuff, like I'll be sourcing.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Hayley wants to go trial dresses together. I'm like, babe, no,
- 5:56Speaker 3: we can't see each other's dress.
- 5:58Speaker 6: She's like, but that's so fun and it's a tricky
- 6:02Speaker 6: one though I see the desire to do.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 3: No, I know it's fun, but.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you're putting your foot down right.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Yeah no, I'm like, you're I'm torn about the first
- 6:16Speaker 3: look of it all because I heard of me I'm
- 6:18Speaker 3: down the aisle. But I'm torn on it because I
- 6:22Speaker 3: have pros and cons for both. Like I love the
- 6:24Speaker 3: like piece of like getting to see each other before
- 6:27Speaker 3: and like having that moment together of like seeing each
- 6:30Speaker 3: other for the first time and not having to be
- 6:31Speaker 3: in front of everybody. But then I love the like
- 6:34Speaker 3: reveal of seeing each other in a wedding. Well, I
- 6:37Speaker 3: don't know what we're wearing wedding attire for the first time. Oh,
- 6:42Speaker 3: I might be in a suit.
- 6:43Speaker 2: You're not going to be in a suit of white
- 6:46Speaker 2: tailored suit yet out of here.
- 6:49Speaker 3: But yeah. So that's why I tell everybody. I'm just like, listen.
- 6:52Speaker 3: If you want to know about the wedding, then you
- 6:54Speaker 3: support the movie.
- 6:57Speaker 4: But like, as the movie comes out, that means you
- 6:59Speaker 4: can start playing the summer right, yeah, which is like
- 7:03Speaker 4: tomorrow it's time is flying, flying Flying.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Speaking of TikTok comments I posted if people just scroll
- 7:11Speaker 3: and don't open comments, because personally, for me, I find
- 7:14Speaker 3: the comments to be my favorite part, like TikTok yes,
- 7:19Speaker 3: because I could see a video that I think is
- 7:21Speaker 3: funny and then I open the comments and I am
- 7:23Speaker 3: like cackling out loud because people are so funny and
- 7:27Speaker 3: creative and there's people that just scroll, never open.
- 7:31Speaker 2: To me, I don't open.
- 7:33Speaker 5: I rushed to the.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Comments, break an ankle, run into the comments. Really, Oh
- 7:38Speaker 3: my gosh, roll.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I don't think I look at comments one iota unless
- 7:42Speaker 4: I'm prompted to.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Well, if you are someone like Tanya who does it,
- 7:46Speaker 3: you have to if you think of video is funny
- 7:48Speaker 3: and it has a lot of comments. Open the comments
- 7:51Speaker 3: and you only have to look at the top like
- 7:52Speaker 3: five to really get a good laugh. It is the
- 7:57Speaker 3: the humor that people possess and the quick wickness and wittiness.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I'm inspired.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Being able to post a photo as a comment on
- 8:04Speaker 6: TikTok elevated the game to an unimaginable level.
- 8:08Speaker 2: What photos are people posting on? Comments?
- 8:10Speaker 3: Like?
- 8:10Speaker 6: The photos are means than some screenshots from the video
- 8:14Speaker 6: we're watching?
- 8:14Speaker 5: Uh, it's great.
- 8:16Speaker 3: It's just beautiful.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I love it all.
- 8:19Speaker 3: It's art, really, I agree.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Like when I'm watching like the the.
- 8:25Speaker 4: This is the silly one, but the one that people
- 8:27Speaker 4: were like, does anybody else watch The Love is buying
- 8:29Speaker 4: final episode like this, and it's like fast forwarding, do.
- 8:31Speaker 2: The whole thing. I'm like, yeah, that's good. You got
- 8:34Speaker 2: me there, gotcha, gotcha. I'm like, wow, they know me
- 8:39Speaker 2: so well. My algorithm knows me.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it feels good to be known. It's
- 8:44Speaker 3: going to be seen. I also posted, uh, this was
- 8:49Speaker 3: this is my favorite. You know how You'll always say
- 8:51Speaker 3: like how I post questions but I don't put like
- 8:52Speaker 3: an answer box. Yeah, I don't know. I just love
- 8:55Speaker 3: doing it. But every time I posted something's totally random
- 8:58Speaker 3: because it's just a thought I have and I'm like,
- 9:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna post it and see opinions, and all's always
- 9:02Speaker 3: like what what like to everyone? Just like like what
- 9:06Speaker 3: like the water? One? I ask some people like drinking
- 9:09Speaker 3: water or if they just do it because it's good
- 9:11Speaker 3: for them, Like I don't like water. I drink it
- 9:13Speaker 3: because it's good for me. Same and a source of life.
- 9:17Speaker 3: And then people were responding and they're like, there's no
- 9:18Speaker 3: way people like drinking water, but you'd be I would
- 9:21Speaker 3: say fifty percent of the comments are like I love water.
- 9:25Speaker 5: I enjoy water a lot.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Do tastes like nothing, it tastes refreshing. I think it
- 9:30Speaker 6: makes me feel good and it tastes refreshing. Yeah, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 6: I like, I think different beverages serve different purposes, So like,
- 9:38Speaker 6: I don't think i'd ever like like I guess if
- 9:39Speaker 6: I had to choose Coca cola or water, I would
- 9:42Speaker 6: choose water.
- 9:43Speaker 5: But I do like how it tastes tastes really good.
- 9:46Speaker 7: Wow.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I didn't grow like I didn't
- 9:49Speaker 3: my source of hydration growing up was like gatorade.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I didn't know my dad still doesn't believe in water.
- 9:55Speaker 5: My dad doesn't believe in water.
- 9:57Speaker 3: My brother does not drink water. He played in the NFL.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you get water and gateorade, you get water and beer,
- 10:03Speaker 4: you get water, and like, yeah, oh god.
- 10:07Speaker 6: My sisters like that, Like she when she needs to
- 10:09Speaker 6: drink more water, she does a glass of water with
- 10:11Speaker 6: like drops of diet coke to like give her the flavor, which.
- 10:14Speaker 5: I think Anne Hathaway does too. I heard that from somewhere.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, I don't know, but like I'm I'm the same.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I grew up in like a gatorade. Like we never
- 10:23Speaker 4: had water really in our house.
- 10:24Speaker 2: It was like I grew up with water. Yeah, So
- 10:28Speaker 2: it's so funny.
- 10:28Speaker 3: And I was gonna say people in California. I literally
- 10:32Speaker 3: gonna say, people in California grew up with it. But
- 10:33Speaker 3: you grew up in California. But I associate. I remember
- 10:37Speaker 3: going out to eat with people for the first time
- 10:39Speaker 3: in California, like new friends and I every time I
- 10:42Speaker 3: go out to eat, and we didn't. I didn't grow
- 10:44Speaker 3: up with money. I grew up with like there was
- 10:46Speaker 3: five kids, but we would always get SODA's, like if
- 10:49Speaker 3: we got a meal, we got a soda.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and always water for the table.
- 10:54Speaker 3: No, all my friends like said no to a soda
- 10:57Speaker 3: and got went and got the free water. But they're
- 11:00Speaker 3: Hamburger And I was like, how are you washing this
- 11:03Speaker 3: down with water? That was like my first experiencing that,
- 11:07Speaker 3: which I think is so crazy now because the water
- 11:11Speaker 3: is a source of life and it is the best
- 11:13Speaker 3: option for you.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Yeah, it's of our bodies.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 2: But anyways, you know the difference between raising in a
- 11:18Speaker 2: great water water. Yeah, they never lose that image unfortunately.
- 11:24Speaker 3: That sticks with me. That really sticks with me. Yeah.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I grew up not in a waterhousehold too. That's very funny.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Back in like the eighties and seventies, if you were
- 11:34Speaker 6: like at football practice, they would say, don't drink water
- 11:36Speaker 6: because you'll cramp That was like an old wives tale
- 11:40Speaker 6: that thankfully has gone away. But you have these high
- 11:42Speaker 6: school students out there just huffing and puffing in the heat,
- 11:44Speaker 6: and it's like, here to have lemonade.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Don't don't drink water, you'll like cramp up. It's like the.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Exact opposite, well, because it's like thinking that you need electrolytes, right, yes, exactly,
- 11:53Speaker 3: because you're gonna cramp if you don't have the salt.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Yes, I don't believe it.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I think that onto something there.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Speaking of.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Oh it's just.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Right now, I do get parched.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Well. I I've grown to be like, oh, that tastes
- 12:14Speaker 3: really good when I'm thirsty and I go to get
- 12:17Speaker 3: my cold water. But I'm never like, ooh, you know,
- 12:22Speaker 3: it sounds amazing cold glass of water like dico or
- 12:25Speaker 3: dodor pepper or coke zero pepsi pepsi die pepsi and
- 12:32Speaker 3: cherry pepsi. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So that's a little bit
- 12:35Speaker 3: about us.
- 12:36Speaker 4: You went to a wedding this weekend, or you're going
- 12:38Speaker 4: to a wedding this weekend. When you go from now on,
- 12:42Speaker 4: when you attend weddings, are you going in a different
- 12:45Speaker 4: like with a different lens as like research R and R.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I'll tell you how I approach weddings when we come back.
- 12:53Speaker 7: Oh my goodness, we're back.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So I'm going to a wedding this weekend and we're
- 13:17Speaker 3: going to Palm Springs, And I do think I'm this
- 13:22Speaker 3: is actually the first wedding we'll be going to send
- 13:24Speaker 3: engaged couple being engaged. I'm just like trying to think.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I think so yeah, and so I think this I
- 13:31Speaker 3: probably will approach weddings with a new lens of like,
- 13:35Speaker 3: oh I love that. I love that they did this,
- 13:37Speaker 3: and this is actually two men getting married, so it's
- 13:40Speaker 3: also a gay wedding. And I also think there's certain
- 13:45Speaker 3: things that you probably do different. You know, there's so
- 13:47Speaker 3: much tradition around weddings and like the ceremony of it all.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So I will be approaching it probably from a different
- 13:56Speaker 3: lens in that regard, but thinking about like first dance moment,
- 14:00Speaker 3: do we want to do it? Okay, Like there's just so
- 14:02Speaker 3: many things that.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Have always been There's so many of those, but I
- 14:07Speaker 4: just wanted to be us.
- 14:08Speaker 3: I don't want to I have I'm gonna have to separate.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Am I seeing this because it's what I've always heard
- 14:13Speaker 3: you're supposed to do and is tradition? Or Am I
- 14:15Speaker 3: seeing this because I'm like, oh, I've always dreamed of
- 14:17Speaker 3: getting to do that. Yeah, you know.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Because I think I tell you one thing I did
- 14:21Speaker 4: that Everyone's like, it's tradition, it's beautiful, And I'm like,
- 14:24Speaker 4: in hindsight, why did I do that?
- 14:25Speaker 2: What put the veil over right head?
- 14:27Speaker 3: Oh, you're gonna say that I.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Got my lipstick all in it.
- 14:30Speaker 4: I was crying and my heart like Robbie couldn't get
- 14:33Speaker 4: it off quite right. I looked like a schmuck with
- 14:36Speaker 4: it on. So I did it because I was like
- 14:40Speaker 4: the peer.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Pressure of like, that's what you're supposed to do. You
- 14:43Speaker 2: want him to have that moment of lifting. And I'm like, you.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Did look beautiful with the veil. But I remember being
- 14:48Speaker 3: like walking down the aisle like I'm like, you can't
- 14:52Speaker 3: even see me through that. I knew you were gonna
- 14:56Speaker 3: say that, just because I have the memory of like
- 14:58Speaker 3: that discussion.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because I didn't want it. I didn't want it.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I wanted to have a bag.
- 15:03Speaker 4: As I walked down the aisle and everyone's like, no,
- 15:05Speaker 4: it's it's gonna be this beautiful moment. I was like, Okay,
- 15:08Speaker 4: maybe they're right. It's tradition, like it's they've done it
- 15:11Speaker 4: like that for a reason, like it's the only time
- 15:13Speaker 4: in my life I'm gonna have a.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Frock over my head to be lifted by my husband.
- 15:20Speaker 4: And I look back and I'm like, damn, i'd have
- 15:23Speaker 4: stuck to my guns.
- 15:24Speaker 3: But you wouldn't know until you like you could have
- 15:27Speaker 3: done it not have done it this you could you
- 15:29Speaker 3: could have practiced, but you could have not done it
- 15:32Speaker 3: and then been like I kind of wish I had
- 15:34Speaker 3: done that because it would have been really special to
- 15:36Speaker 3: have him lifted like you could have. It would have
- 15:38Speaker 3: gone either way.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I think for you, I don't think so there's nothing
- 15:40Speaker 4: I didn't do that I regret not doing.
- 15:43Speaker 3: But I do think that could have been practiced or
- 15:46Speaker 3: you could have like seen put it on, seen how
- 15:48Speaker 3: you looked or felt with it on.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I'm like I don't know if it was
- 15:51Speaker 4: the wind, but I'm like it kept getting.
- 15:53Speaker 2: In my eye. I was like this not the magical
- 15:57Speaker 2: moments walking.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Down a different aisle, my dad like tripped.
- 16:01Speaker 4: And I couldn't see, like this is this could have
- 16:03Speaker 4: gone bad fast yeah yeah, yeah, but it was so Anyways,
- 16:08Speaker 4: I encourage you to really think about things that like
- 16:12Speaker 4: go and go with your gut on these decisions, because
- 16:15Speaker 4: I do think like, obviously people have been getting married
- 16:17Speaker 4: for centuries and so there are these things that are
- 16:20Speaker 4: just like what you're supposed to.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Do, right, Yeah, but like no, I mean I think
- 16:25Speaker 3: I think we're already passed at what we're supposed to
- 16:27Speaker 3: do part.
- 16:30Speaker 2: But is there a dress code for this wedding? You're
- 16:32Speaker 2: going to like a theme?
- 16:33Speaker 3: Well, I think it. I don't know if I'm saying it,
- 16:37Speaker 3: like if this is real, but I think it's no
- 16:39Speaker 3: black like I think it's because it's palm spring. So
- 16:41Speaker 3: I think they wanted everyone in like color. So I'm
- 16:45Speaker 3: excited to see what everyone wears, because that's the other thing.
- 16:48Speaker 3: It's like, do you want it to be super dressy?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Do you want it to just be like people to
- 16:53Speaker 3: come in with they? I don't know. I don't know.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I really don't. So I'm going to be going with
- 16:59Speaker 3: a secret notepad, are you? Actually no? But I will
- 17:04Speaker 3: be observing from that lens. I think it's gonna be
- 17:06Speaker 3: very beautiful and chic too, So I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I've never been to a m l M Man loving
- 17:15Speaker 3: man wedding.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I don't think I have either.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Actually, I'm so excited. Did you know did you not
- 17:20Speaker 3: know Brad and Gary? They've been married for like you
- 17:23Speaker 3: didn't know them? Then?
- 17:23Speaker 2: No? I knew them.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I I started to become friends with him as a
- 17:28Speaker 4: married man. Oh yeah, and they got married like not
- 17:33Speaker 4: they eloped, but it wasn't like a big wedding.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I'm excited for my first one.
- 17:41Speaker 2: What an honor, A lot of decisions. Happy to be
- 17:44Speaker 2: by your side.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, so Ali and Carson didn't do a first
- 17:48Speaker 3: dance because she didn't. She was like, I do not
- 17:51Speaker 3: want everyone like standing around watching us dance by ourselves.
- 17:55Speaker 2: But did they do dances with their parents?
- 17:58Speaker 3: No, they didn't do any Like oh wait, did she
- 18:01Speaker 3: do it? I don't think she did it any with
- 18:05Speaker 3: like a bunch of people watching, but I do. I
- 18:10Speaker 3: love music, and like I have, I associate so many
- 18:13Speaker 3: songs with Haley that like, I'm like, we have to
- 18:16Speaker 3: and in that moment, I don't think I'm going to
- 18:18Speaker 3: be thinking about everyone watching us, you know all. Yeah,
- 18:22Speaker 3: and so that's something I would love to do. The cake,
- 18:24Speaker 3: I'm very like, if Haley wants to do the cake,
- 18:26Speaker 3: I'm down for the cake, but it's not something that
- 18:29Speaker 3: I have to do. Yeah.
- 18:30Speaker 4: The cake cutting, Yeah, when you get the price tag
- 18:32Speaker 4: on the cakes, you're kind of like, do you ever
- 18:36Speaker 4: the pictures?
- 18:36Speaker 2: I mean, just like cutting through this thing for three
- 18:38Speaker 2: thousand dollars?
- 18:38Speaker 3: I don't think so. Yeah. Yeah, Like, and I don't
- 18:42Speaker 3: really feel like I woll cute eating so now my
- 18:44Speaker 3: phone wasn't me getting it like put in my mouth?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Yeah, like that was where my head was that Like
- 18:48Speaker 4: I saw how much they were and I was.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Like, I don't think we need a cake. And then
- 18:55Speaker 3: we also were like how cool would it be if
- 18:57Speaker 3: we rented like a huge house or like hassle and
- 19:00Speaker 3: like Europe and everyone stayed there and we just like
- 19:03Speaker 3: had a small, like intimate ceremony and then we just
- 19:07Speaker 3: like got to party and like hang out all week
- 19:09Speaker 3: with our favorite people. I don't know, there's so many
- 19:11Speaker 3: things to do.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I know, I went down that path too. I know
- 19:16Speaker 2: it's a really great path.
- 19:19Speaker 3: It's something to consider.
- 19:21Speaker 2: It's something to consider.
- 19:22Speaker 4: The only the only caveat with that is because I
- 19:27Speaker 4: feel like you and Haley have different types of jobs
- 19:29Speaker 4: where like you can be gone for two weeks, you
- 19:32Speaker 4: know what I mean, it's just like easy.
- 19:34Speaker 3: You're warnything about people being able to go, and we'd
- 19:36Speaker 3: have to give them a huge time to plan. Yes,
- 19:40Speaker 3: bad amount of time, correct, because even going to Europe
- 19:43Speaker 3: is such a far trip that you don't want to
- 19:45Speaker 3: go for two days?
- 19:46Speaker 2: No, and you can't. Yeah you's yeah, so.
- 19:50Speaker 3: That's something to think about. I don't know, you guys,
- 19:52Speaker 3: there's so many options shifting gears. I was doing a
- 19:58Speaker 3: treadmill walk and I was like, I just need something
- 20:00Speaker 3: with beats that I know. So I looked up Taylor
- 20:03Speaker 3: Swift walking playlist and I'm like, back in like a
- 20:07Speaker 3: Taylor Swift. Not that she ever left, like she's always
- 20:10Speaker 3: on a rotating like radio or something, but I've just
- 20:14Speaker 3: been like, Wow, the bangers, And so I did my
- 20:17Speaker 3: top my Taylor Swift songs of the day for the
- 20:20Speaker 3: day that I was. They change, they change, you know,
- 20:24Speaker 3: but consistently You're losing me is so good, it's so sad.
- 20:29Speaker 4: The fact that it almost never saw the light of
- 20:31Speaker 4: day is caraziness.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Out of the woods. It's just incredible.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 3: And is It over Now?
- 20:44Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 20:45Speaker 3: Is that that one too?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Is it over? Like that almost never saw light of
- 20:47Speaker 2: day too?
- 20:48Speaker 3: And their breakup songs? Yes, they're all breakup songs.
- 20:53Speaker 2: My favorite.
- 20:54Speaker 4: One of my favorite memories from my wedding was singing
- 20:57Speaker 4: is It Over Now at the top of my lungs
- 20:59Speaker 4: on the dancefloorts a breakup song and everybody's kind of like,
- 21:03Speaker 4: what's going on here?
- 21:04Speaker 2: But I'm like, I just have.
- 21:05Speaker 1: To get it, like it's I don't think they were
- 21:07Speaker 1: what's going on here because of the lyrics as much
- 21:09Speaker 1: as me, You and Sophia just like acting like it
- 21:12Speaker 1: was like a stage planned performat, like yeah, yeah, I
- 21:19Speaker 1: And then you know what one I've really been enjoying
- 21:21Speaker 1: that's like not ever talked about is I look in
- 21:24Speaker 1: People's Windows?
- 21:25Speaker 2: I don't think I even heard note that is there's not.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Uh tord your post department?
- 21:32Speaker 2: But she look in People's Windows? Is the name of
- 21:34Speaker 2: the song? Are you sure?
- 21:36Speaker 3: Look in People's Windows? But there's a line where she says,
- 21:43Speaker 3: does it feel alright to not know me? I'm addicted
- 21:47Speaker 3: to the if only and like the lyricism, yeah, and
- 21:51Speaker 3: again it's sad, but I'm when I'm really happy and good,
- 21:57Speaker 3: why not listen to sad music? Yeah, it's free them.
- 22:01Speaker 3: You know.
- 22:02Speaker 4: It's so funny that you say that, because I feel like,
- 22:06Speaker 4: to me, This Life of a Showgirl was like such
- 22:09Speaker 4: a standout album because it's very much like she's in
- 22:12Speaker 4: love and she's happy, and that's kind of like where
- 22:14Speaker 4: I'm at in life. So I'm like really resonating with
- 22:16Speaker 4: it that I have a hard time, like listening to
- 22:18Speaker 4: All Too Well right now interesting?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, well All Too is a fall album. Yes, sunny
- 22:26Speaker 3: bright weather clauses for I forgot you that you existed
- 22:31Speaker 3: and yeah, it's like lover and uh yeah lover and
- 22:36Speaker 3: reputation reputations.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Giving winter No reputation is giving.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I'm in a revenge yeah yeah, yeah, I think Halloween.
- 22:47Speaker 5: It didn't it come out like in October November or something?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Yeah? I think yeah.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Oh. Also, I'm going to a themed two thousands party
- 22:55Speaker 3: on Friday.
- 22:57Speaker 2: What for what?
- 22:58Speaker 3: Well, you know, it's Taylor Bank's birthday and it's themed
- 23:02Speaker 3: two thousands themed, And I feel like I'm gonna have
- 23:06Speaker 3: to try out my outfit today because I ordered it
- 23:09Speaker 3: all very quickly.
- 23:10Speaker 2: What are you going to be?
- 23:11Speaker 3: There's this specific picture of Britney spears that I found.
- 23:15Speaker 2: And oh, that's a great one for you.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I'm kind of panicking. I got my bangs that I
- 23:20Speaker 3: clip in. Bangs I ordered are not the right shade.
- 23:23Speaker 3: But it's this picture.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, what was that from?
- 23:26Speaker 3: I don't know is it two thousands or is it nineties?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Because now I'm like overthinking about it.
- 23:30Speaker 5: That's early.
- 23:32Speaker 3: It's early, which could be nineties ninety nine.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I think it's okay.
- 23:36Speaker 3: But anyways, I feel like I got kneepat gardening kneepads
- 23:41Speaker 3: that are metallic pink because I thought that's what she
- 23:45Speaker 3: had on. But they're just patches, so stay tuned.
- 23:50Speaker 5: So that was I'm sorry, I'm.
- 23:56Speaker 2: To scrap in get a new outfit.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Where ran from June September ninety nine.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Well that's what we're in. It's Brittany from that time,
- 24:06Speaker 3: right before the two thousands. It's a fun Why do
- 24:08Speaker 3: k though? You know?
- 24:09Speaker 5: And we're still talking about that moment.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, well I'm bringing it back. But yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 3: I got clipping bangs and they're like orange. I was like, Haley,
- 24:18Speaker 3: how bad are they? And She's like, I mean it's
- 24:21Speaker 3: it's kind of funny if they look bad, right, And
- 24:23Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, no, that's not I'm not trying to
- 24:26Speaker 3: look before. No, I'm trying to look legit.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Speaking of bangs, I'm thinking about getting some whispy bangs.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Okay, that a bad idea, Like what I just I
- 24:37Speaker 3: love a very thin wisp.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Wow, I'm not a blunt bang, like a thin whisp.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Here's the thing. Show you a photo you hate your
- 24:44Speaker 3: hair bang in your face? Yes, but even how mine
- 24:47Speaker 3: is right now, Tanya is like I could never like,
- 24:49Speaker 3: how do you just let your hair in your hair?
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:51Speaker 3: Your hairs are never not in your face?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yes, I understand that, Yes, that that will be.
- 24:58Speaker 3: And you like styling your hair, yes, but do you have.
- 25:01Speaker 2: To style it when you have these wispy bangs?
- 25:03Speaker 3: I don't know how? Like what do we? Yeah? Oh
- 25:07Speaker 3: my god, Donya, you would hate that? Gorgeous?
- 25:11Speaker 2: But like I hate that.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I think when they were styled and they'd look amazing,
- 25:15Speaker 3: I think they'd look amazing on you. I just think
- 25:17Speaker 3: that you would.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Why does everybody have to style everything.
- 25:22Speaker 3: In her eyes? Like you would be able to handle that,
- 25:24Speaker 3: you'd be freaking out. I go through the bank face.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Too, Okay, So you're saying it's not a goin through.
- 25:32Speaker 3: The chop face, like I'm two. I'm one bad hair
- 25:35Speaker 3: day away from a chop. But you know what someone
- 25:39Speaker 3: said that really resonated with me. I'll tell you when
- 25:43Speaker 3: we come back.
- 26:01Speaker 2: We're back.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Great job. So I was debating on if I wanted
- 26:08Speaker 3: to cut my hair into bob which last time I
- 26:11Speaker 3: tortured everyone because I hated it, and I had so
- 26:13Speaker 3: much regret. But I looked back on photos and I'm like,
- 26:16Speaker 3: but it was so cute. Why did I Why was
- 26:18Speaker 3: I so anti so chic?
- 26:20Speaker 2: And you do your hair so it's.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Like I saw my hair. It's not a burden. And
- 26:26Speaker 3: so anyways, someone was like, back of your hair was
- 26:28Speaker 3: so cute. Short, But just remember you will like your
- 26:32Speaker 3: hair cut for like a week, and then you'll it'll
- 26:36Speaker 3: get old. The newness of it being cut will get old,
- 26:39Speaker 3: and you'll just be upset that you cut it. And
- 26:41Speaker 3: for some reason it really stuck with me because that's
- 26:45Speaker 3: what happens. You have the first week and you're like
- 26:47Speaker 3: doing all these new styles. Oh, it's so cute and fresh,
- 26:50Speaker 3: and then the newss dice and you're like, but now
- 26:54Speaker 3: it's short.
- 26:56Speaker 2: You know, I've never changed my hair up, Like, yes
- 26:58Speaker 2: you have.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Wow, you've like cut your hair and had it long
- 27:02Speaker 3: and got extensions.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Okay, that's like not really, I mean the length of it.
- 27:06Speaker 4: I've maybe shed two inches off here and there, but like,
- 27:09Speaker 4: for the most part, the continuity of my hair has
- 27:11Speaker 4: stayed intact for the last like fifteen years.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I would says, do.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Ye, as long as I've known.
- 27:17Speaker 2: You, Yeah, like relatively the same.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Some blonde was better than the others. Yes, yes, I
- 27:23Speaker 3: did have a change.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Yes I have a Bleachhella moment that was just bad.
- 27:29Speaker 4: But I haven't really changed my hair. And I'm like
- 27:32Speaker 4: kind of in this phase of like I'm a low
- 27:38Speaker 4: maintenance girl trapped in a high maintenance spot, you know, like, oh,
- 27:43Speaker 4: I hate doing my.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Hair, but I need to do it otherwise it looks like.
- 27:47Speaker 3: This, what are you talking about? Like getting it done?
- 27:51Speaker 2: Or I'm like, do I need a change? Like should
- 27:53Speaker 2: I change it up?
- 27:55Speaker 3: You're so here's my opinion on your hair. I feel like, okay,
- 28:00Speaker 3: so if you are you watching Love Story the JFK
- 28:03Speaker 3: Junior show yet, Okay? The actress and that Sarah Pigeon,
- 28:08Speaker 3: she is originally brunette. She's gorgeous, Like she's got one
- 28:12Speaker 3: of those she's got one of those faces and personalities
- 28:15Speaker 3: that you're like cool, magnetic, but you can't, You're just
- 28:18Speaker 3: like she's cool. She has blonde hair for the show
- 28:22Speaker 3: and it is so made for her. And I feel
- 28:25Speaker 3: like you're that way, like you're dark, You're naturally dark, right, yeah,
- 28:29Speaker 3: but you look yeah whoa so night and day and everyone.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Normally people say you look best with your natural hair
- 28:37Speaker 3: color because it's obviously it's like made to compliment your features, right,
- 28:41Speaker 3: But she's an example of blonde looks better on y.
- 28:45Speaker 3: It like brightens her face. Yeah, I feel like you
- 28:48Speaker 3: have the same thing. But I haven't known you, brunette,
- 28:51Speaker 3: but you look so good blonde. However, Kelsey Ballerini just
- 28:56Speaker 3: went like light brown, and I was thinking, I feel
- 28:59Speaker 3: like it could look so good on you because it's
- 29:02Speaker 3: not dark. It's like a like a light brown. Tony's
- 29:06Speaker 3: gonna kill me, But like, did you tell.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Tommy, like Becka told me light brown would look good
- 29:13Speaker 2: on me.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Because I think your eyes would pop. But it's so
- 29:18Speaker 3: pretty and it looks so good on her. It does.
- 29:22Speaker 2: But see, this is the problem.
- 29:24Speaker 4: And like people do like these inspo pics you like
- 29:26Speaker 4: bring them to your hair estylished and like I want
- 29:27Speaker 4: to look like this, like that photo has like teza
- 29:31Speaker 4: and it's like.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Blurry and like do you know what I mean? Like
- 29:34Speaker 2: who knows if it looks like that in real life?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I don't know what it looks like in
- 29:39Speaker 3: real life. I'm just going off of off of the an.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Image that's been filtered. This is what's wrong with society.
- 29:44Speaker 3: But look, that's like high, like it's like brown with Yeah, it's.
- 29:49Speaker 2: More brown, it's more rooty. Then it's a brown.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Darker like yeah. Yeah, I'm just saying it wouldn't be
- 29:56Speaker 3: like a you don't if you're craving a change.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm craving it, like a craving a bit of
- 30:01Speaker 2: a change.
- 30:04Speaker 3: What was that?
- 30:04Speaker 5: Yeah, sound the sound of a crave, like a thirst.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, okay, I do think that would be like
- 30:14Speaker 3: something I feel like. And I don't think it would
- 30:16Speaker 3: be hard to come back from. Like what if I
- 30:19Speaker 3: was like, you should go red?
- 30:20Speaker 4: That would be so that was like my my inkling
- 30:23Speaker 4: was strawberry blonde.
- 30:25Speaker 3: It's just hard, Yeah, if you if you want to
- 30:27Speaker 3: be more low maintenance, doing red is not.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit about me right now.
- 30:33Speaker 3: I think the bangs are bad choice just because you'd
- 30:35Speaker 3: hate the hair in your face. Okay, if you wanted
- 30:37Speaker 3: to darken a little bit, I do think that would
- 30:39Speaker 3: be a nice change for you. But it wouldn't be
- 30:41Speaker 3: like you couldn't get back to your blonde if you
- 30:44Speaker 3: needed to.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Okay, noted, And I do think your hair is so cute. Short,
- 30:50Speaker 2: m something to think about.
- 30:54Speaker 3: You know, like every time people like get married or
- 30:57Speaker 3: have a big like life moment, they're like, I'm just
- 31:00Speaker 3: gonna chop my hair or new change.
- 31:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:02Speaker 4: So well it is interesting because you kind of I mean,
- 31:05Speaker 4: I think I'm past that phase now, but like you,
- 31:07Speaker 4: you come off such a high that you're like, I
- 31:09Speaker 4: just need like another hand, another adrenaline rush. But I'm
- 31:13Speaker 4: definitely far past that. I think mine's more of just
- 31:15Speaker 4: like wanting to be a little bit more low maintenance.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Speaking of adrenaline rush, I went to Atlanta a couple
- 31:23Speaker 3: of weeks ago. Oh no, oh, yeah, yeah, and I
- 31:27Speaker 3: went to do this podcast for this woman, Lisa Easton.
- 31:29Speaker 3: I don't know in the podcast it might it might
- 31:31Speaker 3: be out yet already, so go listen if it is.
- 31:34Speaker 3: But I flew in to just do her podcast, and
- 31:36Speaker 3: then I flew out the next day.
- 31:37Speaker 2: It's baller, by the way, when you're Lisa Easton is goals.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yeah. So I flew out and then they booked me
- 31:46Speaker 3: for a six twenty pm flight And did I already
- 31:51Speaker 3: say I was in Atlanta? Atlanta? Yeah, so she where
- 31:55Speaker 3: we did the podcast was about an like a forty
- 31:58Speaker 3: minute drive from airport when I landed, because I landed
- 32:02Speaker 3: the night before and it was pretty late, so it
- 32:03Speaker 3: was pretty no traffic or anything. So the next day
- 32:06Speaker 3: my flights at six twenty. We were recording the podcast
- 32:08Speaker 3: at twelve thirty. So I was like, okay, we're gonna finish,
- 32:12Speaker 3: like I'm thinking most we do is two hours, right.
- 32:15Speaker 3: So I go on my little Delta app and see
- 32:19Speaker 3: that there's a four to fifty flight, and I go,
- 32:23Speaker 3: I don't want to be sitting around, you know me,
- 32:24Speaker 3: I have my carry on, I have clear I'm just
- 32:28Speaker 3: gonna switch it all over. No no fee to change it.
- 32:32Speaker 3: So I switched it to four fifty. I get a
- 32:35Speaker 3: text and they're like, hey, they're having some technical issues
- 32:38Speaker 3: with the studio, so like we're having to push the podcast.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, no big deal. So I go,
- 32:44Speaker 3: we do the podcast.
- 32:45Speaker 2: What time do you start doing it.
- 32:46Speaker 3: I think we started the podcast probably at one.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Okay, it's an hour behind.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so do the pod three. Yeah. They're like, we're
- 32:54Speaker 3: gonna have some light bite, some champagne, and I'm like cool,
- 32:57Speaker 3: I'm acting chill, not even rushed. We do the podcast
- 33:01Speaker 3: and then We're like chit chatting, and I'm like, oh,
- 33:03Speaker 3: so I actually moved. They go what times your flight?
- 33:05Speaker 3: And I go, well, I had the six twenty that
- 33:07Speaker 3: y'all booked me on, but I saw there was a
- 33:08Speaker 3: four fifty, so I just switched it because I don't
- 33:10Speaker 3: like sitting around. I like to just like go and
- 33:12Speaker 3: get on the board. And she goes, oh my gosh,
- 33:15Speaker 3: like you have to go that the traffic. It's not
- 33:19Speaker 3: gonna be the traffic like when you got here, like
- 33:21Speaker 3: it could take two hours to get to the airport.
- 33:23Speaker 3: So I'm like okay. So I get in the car
- 33:27Speaker 3: with the driver and it's the My flight starts boarding
- 33:31Speaker 3: at four ten, and you know, I see the arrival
- 33:35Speaker 3: times for twenty, so I'm like, okay, we're gonna be
- 33:39Speaker 3: cutting it close. He goes, do you have clear and
- 33:42Speaker 3: I go yeah. He goes, I'm gonna drop you off
- 33:44Speaker 3: at the International security because it's right by your gate.
- 33:47Speaker 3: This guy was so legit. He dropped me off at
- 33:49Speaker 3: he knew, Yeah, he knew. He goes, I don't know
- 33:52Speaker 3: if you're gonna make it, but i'm excited to know
- 33:54Speaker 3: if you do. He goes, I'm going to drop you
- 33:55Speaker 3: off at International, You're gonna go through security there and
- 33:58Speaker 3: you're gonna just run your gate. So I do it
- 34:02Speaker 3: three minutes too late. And honestly, if I had just
- 34:05Speaker 3: been a little emboldened and asked, there was like a
- 34:08Speaker 3: little bit of line.
- 34:09Speaker 2: For clearty chat. No.
- 34:11Speaker 3: No, I could have eliminated. I could light bite, yeah,
- 34:16Speaker 3: I could have could have eliminated a.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Light bike, or one glass of champagne.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I only had one. Couldn't have that, yeah, but I
- 34:23Speaker 3: wish I had.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Well.
- 34:25Speaker 3: I have mixed feelings about this because I choose my
- 34:29Speaker 3: path of being late and tardy, So I never want
- 34:33Speaker 3: to inconvene or asked to inconvenience someone else because of
- 34:36Speaker 3: my choice. Like if I had not changed my flight
- 34:39Speaker 3: and I was just late because of traffic and it
- 34:41Speaker 3: was just timing, and then I had to ask someone
- 34:43Speaker 3: like can I please go in front of you? Like
- 34:44Speaker 3: they're boarding my flight? And I'm so sorry. That's one thing,
- 34:48Speaker 3: but knowing that it was my choice, I just can't
- 34:52Speaker 3: ask someone if I could go in front of them.
- 34:54Speaker 3: But if I had asked, I would have made it. Yeah,
- 34:58Speaker 3: So I like I'm renting, Like I'm like gasping for
- 35:01Speaker 3: air and I'm like, how how far I'm like laughing,
- 35:04Speaker 3: I'm like, how far did I miss it? He goes
- 35:06Speaker 3: three minutes and.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I was like the flight, like the plane took off.
- 35:10Speaker 3: No, the plane's still there. They want to let you
- 35:13Speaker 3: shut the gates. Yeah. Yeah, once they shut the door,
- 35:16Speaker 3: you're screwed.
- 35:19Speaker 2: So I was like, so you watched the plane fly off.
- 35:22Speaker 3: I didn't even watch it. I went and change my
- 35:23Speaker 3: flight back to the original, and uh got home fine.
- 35:28Speaker 3: It was totally great. But everyone I posted about her,
- 35:31Speaker 3: I was like, I it's why we love you. But
- 35:33Speaker 3: I don't know how you do this life.
- 35:35Speaker 4: It's so interesting because like maybe it's because your cortisol
- 35:39Speaker 4: levels are just so low that like you don't hit
- 35:41Speaker 4: you because like the thought of doing that makes me
- 35:45Speaker 4: so anxious. Like I'm just like I'm in this stage
- 35:48Speaker 4: of my life where I just want to keep things
- 35:49Speaker 4: like as least anxiety inducing as humanly possible, so for
- 35:55Speaker 4: me to like even embark on such a but I
- 35:58Speaker 4: just did not enjoy that.
- 36:00Speaker 3: So what happened was I checked the original flight to
- 36:03Speaker 3: make sure there were seats still available. So I kind
- 36:07Speaker 3: of was in a place of being like if I
- 36:09Speaker 3: missed this flight.
- 36:10Speaker 2: I'm good, I will be able to get on the
- 36:13Speaker 2: original flight.
- 36:13Speaker 4: What if you didn't, though, What if your original flight
- 36:15Speaker 4: was booked, would you have lazily gotten into your new
- 36:20Speaker 4: flight or would you've gone a little faster ask people
- 36:23Speaker 4: to cut Wait?
- 36:24Speaker 3: What if if there.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Was no seats left on your flight? You're six twenty yeah,
- 36:28Speaker 2: and you.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Had to make this four feat No, there was an
- 36:30Speaker 3: eight ten, So I probably would have said, if be
- 36:32Speaker 3: in the airport, I'll go to the Atlanta Aquarium day
- 36:37Speaker 3: good aquarium. So but here's the thing. I didn't have
- 36:41Speaker 3: anything to get home. Like Obviously I was excited to
- 36:44Speaker 3: get home and see Haley and Phoebe. But I knew
- 36:46Speaker 3: Hailey had an event that night, so I wasn't like
- 36:48Speaker 3: rushing home to see her, right. And I also was like,
- 36:51Speaker 3: I'm not trying to if I was, let's say I
- 36:53Speaker 3: was going to the podcast and I had a responsibility,
- 36:56Speaker 3: I'm not going to be irresponsible and switch my flight
- 36:58Speaker 3: like that. I mean, get where I need to go.
- 37:01Speaker 3: But when I didn't have anything, I thought, why not?
- 37:03Speaker 3: Why why not? Why not take it? Yeah, So it's
- 37:09Speaker 3: just a lesson for all of you. Try things. I
- 37:15Speaker 3: will never try that the a risk taker live a
- 37:20Speaker 3: little because what if? How cool if I but you
- 37:22Speaker 3: know what I and then I go, okay, it's okay
- 37:25Speaker 3: because now I'm gonna land at eight forty in LA
- 37:28Speaker 3: and I'm not gonna have traffic going home, whereas if
- 37:31Speaker 3: I had landed at six, I would have been stuck
- 37:33Speaker 3: in the traffic that I was sitting in the airport.
- 37:36Speaker 4: You know what I think about often actually, which is
- 37:39Speaker 4: like so crazy. When we flew back from Jared and
- 37:42Speaker 4: Ashley's wedding, we literally got to the airport in just
- 37:48Speaker 4: enough time to walk onto our gate and walk onto
- 37:52Speaker 4: the plane like I've never done that, where like I like,
- 37:55Speaker 4: I'm just like walking, like no stopping for the bathroom
- 37:57Speaker 4: like Pete in a hydro flask, Like we're just straight
- 38:00Speaker 4: going and like walking onto a flight.
- 38:03Speaker 2: That was so stressful.
- 38:06Speaker 6: Oh, I missed one flight in my life, and I
- 38:09Speaker 6: was recording at a prison in northern California with Governor
- 38:12Speaker 6: Gavin Newsom, and it went long and we were getting
- 38:16Speaker 6: to the airport and it was like we're going to
- 38:17Speaker 6: get there, I think ten minutes before it left or something.
- 38:22Speaker 6: And I had to checkle my equipment and Daniel Romo
- 38:24Speaker 6: who works with us. She was with me and she
- 38:26Speaker 6: just made a sprint for the gate and I checked
- 38:29Speaker 6: my gear and I started sprinting too, and they were
- 38:32Speaker 6: closing the door and I was like, hold it there,
- 38:34Speaker 6: and they like, once they start closing it, I think
- 38:36Speaker 6: they can't stop it. And she told them that we
- 38:39Speaker 6: were married. She's like, my husband's out there, and they
- 38:41Speaker 6: wouldn't let me on.
- 38:42Speaker 7: No.
- 38:42Speaker 5: I flamed my face and I had to take a
- 38:44Speaker 5: later flight home.
- 38:46Speaker 6: The funny thing is my equipment made it onto that flight,
- 38:47Speaker 6: so it did make the plane, which is crazy.
- 38:50Speaker 5: But I hated it. I hated.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I've only missed one fight in my life as well.
- 38:56Speaker 4: But I didn't even make it to the airport, Like
- 38:58Speaker 4: I was so hungover that it was like one of
- 39:00Speaker 4: the iHeart Ready music festivals. My flight was at like
- 39:02Speaker 4: six am, Like I'm always like get me out first
- 39:05Speaker 4: thing Sunday morning, so I take like the earliest flight
- 39:07Speaker 4: out and I didn't even wake up until like eleven am.
- 39:10Speaker 4: So I like far missed it and I had to
- 39:13Speaker 4: drive back to LA with Amy Sugar because all the
- 39:17Speaker 4: flights were booked.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never missed another flight.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's life is life.
- 39:27Speaker 4: In life is life in and pressure and pressure and
- 39:33Speaker 4: to night.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, yeah, that part the part.
- 39:42Speaker 3: So it's just about like living and stuff and like
- 39:47Speaker 3: what's the worst that can happen?
- 39:48Speaker 2: You know, I just could never be married to you,
- 39:50Speaker 2: is what I realized.
- 39:51Speaker 3: And that's that works, yeah for us.
- 39:54Speaker 4: But like I give props to Haley because if Robbie
- 39:58Speaker 4: were like you, it would be a really bad situation
- 40:01Speaker 4: for our relationship.
- 40:02Speaker 3: But I'm like, like, even with the Bahamas thing, when
- 40:06Speaker 3: when they had our flight fight or ride scheduled super
- 40:11Speaker 3: early and you wanted to go and then I didn't
- 40:13Speaker 3: want to go that early. We met in the middle.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Like I do believe in compromise. If I'm flying with someone,
- 40:17Speaker 3: I only really do that stuff if I'm like by myself.
- 40:20Speaker 3: And the Boston thing after Jared and Ashley's wedding, we
- 40:23Speaker 3: did not realize that was not even me being irresponsible.
- 40:26Speaker 3: We were so tired you had to pee in your
- 40:28Speaker 3: hydroflask like we were sitting in traffic.
- 40:30Speaker 2: It was very stressful. It was very stressful.
- 40:32Speaker 6: So I'm sorry if you consider it, how is it
- 40:35Speaker 6: does Haley want to get to the airport early what's
- 40:37Speaker 6: her attitude.
- 40:39Speaker 3: She's a little bit on the same page as me,
- 40:41Speaker 3: but she might run a little more stressed, Like I'm
- 40:43Speaker 3: a little more relaxed and she's a little more stressed
- 40:45Speaker 3: about it, but we kind of run in the same
- 40:47Speaker 3: I do.
- 40:47Speaker 6: I remember going to Tanya's wedding last year because you
- 40:50Speaker 6: were already there and we were in the airport and
- 40:53Speaker 6: Haley was on our flight going out and we hung
- 40:55Speaker 6: out with her and she was there same time as me,
- 40:57Speaker 6: which is pretty damn early love that.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I think probably when she's by herself, she's
- 41:02Speaker 3: a little more responsible. I held her back.
- 41:05Speaker 2: What do you think about?
- 41:06Speaker 3: It's something to think about, and thank you for bringing
- 41:09Speaker 3: that to my attention. I'll be more considerate moving forward.
- 41:16Speaker 3: We have a we have one like kind of miniature
- 41:19Speaker 3: dear Bonia question, because it's something we should talk talk
- 41:24Speaker 3: about and help her out with, and we'll do it
- 41:26Speaker 3: when we come back. We're back, We're back. Okay. So
- 41:49Speaker 3: this is from a tired and touched out scrubber. It
- 41:53Speaker 3: seems that this scrubber has a different love language than
- 41:56Speaker 3: their partner that you want to read these.
- 41:57Speaker 6: I'd love to thank you for the invitation Hello with
- 42:01Speaker 6: six o's to my favorite people. I'm a stay at
- 42:04Speaker 6: home mom to a two year old in five month
- 42:06Speaker 6: old twins. I feel incredibly blessed and truly love being
- 42:09Speaker 6: in this role, but caring for a toddler while also nursing, holding,
- 42:12Speaker 6: and caring for two infants all day is exhausting.
- 42:15Speaker 5: By the end of the day, I.
- 42:16Speaker 6: Am completely spent. I also grew up in a non
- 42:19Speaker 6: touchy feely home. There's lots of love, but not much
- 42:21Speaker 6: physical affection, so physical touch has not been a big
- 42:25Speaker 6: need for me. My husband, on the other hand, thrives
- 42:27Speaker 6: on it. It is his number one love language and
- 42:29Speaker 6: I've worked hard to meet him there. He is honestly
- 42:31Speaker 6: an angel. After working all day, he jumps right in
- 42:34Speaker 6: with helping with the kids, cooking, cleaning, baths, bedtime, house projects,
- 42:38Speaker 6: and even make sure I get breaks to see friends
- 42:40Speaker 6: or get out of the house. My love language is
- 42:42Speaker 6: acts of service, and he shows up for me constantly.
- 42:44Speaker 6: The issue is he wants to cuddle all night long,
- 42:48Speaker 6: and I literally cannot sleep while being touched. In fact,
- 42:51Speaker 6: I'm literally writing this in the middle of the night
- 42:53Speaker 6: while he's cuddling me because I cannot sleep.
- 42:55Speaker 5: Oh Wow.
- 42:57Speaker 6: I'm happy to cuddle before bed, and I try to
- 42:59Speaker 6: fill his cup in the day with hugs, holding hands,
- 43:02Speaker 6: sitting close with the kids, all of that. But when
- 43:04Speaker 6: it's time to actually sleep, I just can't do it.
- 43:06Speaker 6: I brought it up before, and it makes him really sad.
- 43:09Speaker 6: This is truly the one thing he asks for while
- 43:11Speaker 6: meeting so maybe my needs every day. But I'm also
- 43:13Speaker 6: running on themes between the babies waking up and not
- 43:15Speaker 6: being able to sleep when I get back into bed.
- 43:17Speaker 6: How can I meet his need for physical touch without
- 43:19Speaker 6: hurting him while also getting the rest I need to
- 43:21Speaker 6: show up as the mom I want to be ps
- 43:24Speaker 6: in this season, it's really hard to take all my
- 43:25Speaker 6: kids out to do things because I simply don't have
- 43:27Speaker 6: enough hands. So we take a lot of drives and
- 43:29Speaker 6: I listen to the pod gets me through many difficult days.
- 43:32Speaker 6: And I appreciate you for.
- 43:33Speaker 5: More than you know. Thank you for what you do.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Wow, I mean I am her husband in this situation,
- 43:39Speaker 4: So all right.
- 43:40Speaker 3: I love like I love cuddling, and Haley and I
- 43:43Speaker 3: are both like physical touches one of our top love languages,
- 43:46Speaker 3: so that works for us. But I do feel like
- 43:50Speaker 3: when we go to bed, it's like we cuddle and
- 43:52Speaker 3: then like when we are both like going to sleep,
- 43:54Speaker 3: we like just naturally separate and I could not do
- 43:57Speaker 3: if like I like because I like to have my
- 44:01Speaker 3: legs I turn and toss and like I just want
- 44:03Speaker 3: to have like the freedom and space to do it.
- 44:05Speaker 3: So I feel like it's well, how would you handle
- 44:08Speaker 3: it for Robbie said, hey, I.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Think we lived through this. Oh oh so yeah, this
- 44:13Speaker 2: is no, no, no, I'll be this. Yeah.
- 44:17Speaker 4: I like I would like to cuddle all night long,
- 44:19Speaker 4: Like I would just love to like be on top
- 44:20Speaker 4: of each other the whole night.
- 44:23Speaker 2: He is at hard.
- 44:24Speaker 4: He doesn't he doesn't sleep so great, so it's like
- 44:27Speaker 4: important for him. He needs like his space to sleep,
- 44:29Speaker 4: and I too. When he told me that, I'm like,
- 44:32Speaker 4: you know, I did my like pouty thing, and then
- 44:34Speaker 4: I was like, you know what, Obviously sleep is important.
- 44:36Speaker 4: So we have a compromise. And it's not really compromise
- 44:39Speaker 4: because he wants to do it too. But we cuddle
- 44:42Speaker 4: when we like watch TV or whatever in bed. Then
- 44:44Speaker 4: when its time of sleep, we like separate. We're on
- 44:46Speaker 4: our different sides of the bed. And then on the
- 44:48Speaker 4: weekends when we wake up, we cuddle when we wake
- 44:52Speaker 4: up before getting out of bed, so we still have
- 44:53Speaker 4: like morning cuddles.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Oh. I don't know if they have this option because
- 44:57Speaker 3: they have small kids and babies, but I do like that.
- 45:01Speaker 4: Like we obviously can't do it during the week because
- 45:03Speaker 4: we're getting up at different times, but whenever we can,
- 45:07Speaker 4: we cut on bed. But when we sleep time is
- 45:10Speaker 4: sleep time. He's just gonna have to get over it.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Like I understand because.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I was like poudy about it too, but like he'll
- 45:15Speaker 2: get over it.
- 45:16Speaker 3: I also think it's like the way you communicate it,
- 45:18Speaker 3: which is like, hey, I'm I'm already not getting a
- 45:21Speaker 3: lot of sleep and taking care of the kids. I'm
- 45:23Speaker 3: very touched. I have multiple hands on me wanting me
- 45:27Speaker 3: at all times, and when I sleep, that's like my
- 45:30Speaker 3: only time where I'm not having to think about that.
- 45:33Speaker 3: So and maybe ask him, like what is the compromise,
- 45:35Speaker 3: because like, I want to be able to you fill
- 45:37Speaker 3: my cup so much.
- 45:38Speaker 2: I really lead with that.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Praise him for he shows up for you, and you
- 45:43Speaker 4: want to show up the way that way back.
- 45:44Speaker 3: But this is just really IMPORTANTEP, and it's important for
- 45:47Speaker 3: you to have sleep, so you have the energy and
- 45:49Speaker 3: capacity to give to him and the kids. But I
- 45:52Speaker 3: would just say, what, what is a way that I
- 45:55Speaker 3: can still have my space when I so I'm able
- 45:58Speaker 3: to sleep, but also that you feel love didn't seen
- 46:00Speaker 3: and have your love language fulfilled because you do that
- 46:04Speaker 3: for me and he if he's like it's cuddling all
- 46:08Speaker 3: night or.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Else, no, he's not going to this guy sounds I know.
- 46:11Speaker 3: I'm just saying. I think you just need to like
- 46:13Speaker 3: lean into how wonderful he is to you and fills
- 46:15Speaker 3: your cup, but you also need to be able to sleep,
- 46:17Speaker 3: and you can't sleep if you're being touched.
- 46:20Speaker 2: He's one of the good ones.
- 46:24Speaker 3: You have this issue on the same page.
- 46:28Speaker 6: I mean, uh yeah, like not to this extent, but
- 46:32Speaker 6: you know, I mean so I can tell him she
- 46:33Speaker 6: doesn't want to be touched and I respect it, and.
- 46:36Speaker 5: That's you know, I move on.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's just gotta he's just gotta. No,
- 46:44Speaker 3: it's not personal for sure. Yeah yeah yeah. Just remember
- 46:48Speaker 3: you guys. If you ever want some just advice, excellent advice,
