- 0:30Speaker 2: Let's jump into this. Let's jump in right away. The
- 0:34Speaker 2: five things you should do in this market. A lot
- 0:37Speaker 2: of people are panicking, a little nervous, got off to
- 0:40Speaker 2: a rocky start. What's the five things you should do
- 0:42Speaker 2: in this market?
- 0:43Speaker 3: Number one, you want to check everyone write this down.
- 0:45Speaker 3: You want to check to make sure the stocks that
- 0:47Speaker 3: you are investing in that Vanguard and Blackrock have them
- 0:52Speaker 3: as a top five holding. If not, you need to
- 0:55Speaker 3: reconsider letting them go. For those of you who don't
- 0:57Speaker 3: know Vanguard and Blackrock are the market makers. They're the
- 1:01Speaker 3: most important hedge funds in the space. So if they
- 1:05Speaker 3: do not have a stock that you like in their portfolio,
- 1:08Speaker 3: you probably should let it go. Please realize that while
- 1:12Speaker 3: this market is coming down because of increasing inflation, even
- 1:16Speaker 3: if it goes higher, this is a great time to
- 1:18Speaker 3: build a base. Number two, Please put build a base.
- 1:21Speaker 3: The number of shares that you have in your portfolio
- 1:24Speaker 3: matters more than the price. And I know it's not
- 1:27Speaker 3: easy when a market is getting beat up, but it
- 1:30Speaker 3: doesn't matter if you have Apple at ten dollars and
- 1:33Speaker 3: you only have two shares, or you'd rather have ten
- 1:36Speaker 3: than twenty five thousand shares at the average price a little
- 1:39Speaker 3: bit higher. So when you go to liquidate, you can
- 1:43Speaker 3: sell off and be rich in a process. I need
- 1:46Speaker 3: you to do your homework and I need you to
- 1:49Speaker 3: pick ten stocks in the American market that will work
- 1:53Speaker 3: in any environment. So I want to ask you guys
- 1:55Speaker 3: a tough question. If China becomes the number one economic
- 1:59Speaker 3: power in the next five years, what are the only
- 2:02Speaker 3: the ten stocks that would do well if China is
- 2:04Speaker 3: number one? And then and then we go to number two,
- 2:08Speaker 3: because what happened last year. In the years prior, because
- 2:11Speaker 3: quantitative easing was so high, everyone began to take the
- 2:14Speaker 3: market for granted and say, hey, I can just pick
- 2:16Speaker 3: anything any time, and it's going to go to the moon.
- 2:18Speaker 3: And it did. And then when inflation change and quantitative
- 2:21Speaker 3: ease and change and I fed changed their plan. The
- 2:25Speaker 3: things that we're going to the moon are now driving
- 2:28Speaker 3: being driven into the ground. So there are only maybe
- 2:31Speaker 3: ten or fifteen companies in terms of America equities that
- 2:34Speaker 3: will last. If we are not the number one leader
- 2:37Speaker 3: in the global economy anymore, Number four, go heavier on
- 2:42Speaker 3: index funds. I know you get tired of me saying
- 2:45Speaker 3: it with two tech two index. If you are worried
- 2:48Speaker 3: about and if your portfolio right now is keeping you up,
- 2:52Speaker 3: we haven't even seen the worst of it. But please
- 2:55Speaker 3: be mindful every point of exposure to every top company.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Let Vanguard do the work for you. If Bank of
- 3:02Speaker 3: America or any company falls out of favor of JP Morgan,
- 3:05Speaker 3: you'll be good. They will reallocate for you. Please put
- 3:08Speaker 3: in chat. Automation is king, so you want to not
- 3:12Speaker 3: only automate your investment, but have asset managers that are
- 3:15Speaker 3: better than you do the work for you. Trust me,
- 3:20Speaker 3: Vanguard is on top of it. Which companies to have
- 3:22Speaker 3: in the portfolio. And then number five, you need to
- 3:24Speaker 3: research year over year from nineteen forty every year. I
- 3:29Speaker 3: want you to write it down what has been the
- 3:31Speaker 3: return every year, and it will give you some sense
- 3:34Speaker 3: of confidence. This year we'll probably be anywhere from seven
- 3:38Speaker 3: to eleven percent. It won't be like last year. It
- 3:41Speaker 3: won't be a rock star year. We will be up.
- 3:45Speaker 3: It'll be a little bit more difficult, especially in comparison
- 3:47Speaker 3: to last year. If you're used to getting twenty and
- 3:51Speaker 3: is a newbie and it was easy, that won't be here.
- 3:55Speaker 3: But once you do that research and see what the
- 3:57Speaker 3: returns are every year and see once and only seven
- 4:01Speaker 3: to ten years we truly have a down market, you
- 4:03Speaker 3: won't be as shocked about the things that we're dealing
- 4:06Speaker 3: with right now.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Can I add to yours? That's a solid five. And
- 4:11Speaker 4: I guess the ones I kind of have fit into
- 4:13Speaker 4: the five that you have. And so the first one
- 4:16Speaker 4: you said, so they don't pang. I think that's rule
- 4:18Speaker 4: number one. Don't pin it. And only the way to
- 4:20Speaker 4: not panic is to really understand those year over year returns.
- 4:26Speaker 4: If you understand that and you look in long term vision,
- 4:29Speaker 4: you'll have less ANNGST in some of your decisions. So
- 4:32Speaker 4: my number one was don't pin it. My number two
- 4:34Speaker 4: was understand who you are and where you are in
- 4:38Speaker 4: your journey. And so when I say understanding you are,
- 4:40Speaker 4: understand what type of investor you are right, what's your risk?
- 4:44Speaker 4: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 6:34Speaker 5: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 6:38Speaker 5: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 6:42Speaker 5: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 6:46Speaker 5: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 6:50Speaker 5: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 6:54Speaker 5: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christine Nohm, the United States
- 6:57Speaker 5: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 7:02Speaker 5: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 7:06Speaker 5: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 7:09Speaker 5: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 7:13Speaker 5: one thousand dollars a day. Imprisoned and deported, you will
- 7:17Speaker 5: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 7:21Speaker 5: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 7:29Speaker 5: border and families will be protected. Sponsored by the United
- 7:33Speaker 5: States Department of Homeland Security.
- 7:34Speaker 4: It's tolerance. Are you conservative? Are you looking for growth?
- 7:37Speaker 4: Are you looking for that? Understand who you are as
- 7:39Speaker 4: an investor? Okay, and understand that if you're at the
- 7:41Speaker 4: beginning of your journey, right, don't compare it to somebody else's.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Don't compare your chapter one to chapter thirty six of
- 7:48Speaker 4: somebody else's financial journey. This is your chapter and so
- 7:51Speaker 4: that kind of goes handed in of understanding who you
- 7:53Speaker 4: are and the way you're going to invest. So that's
- 7:55Speaker 4: vitally important. You said, have you on indexes. I agree
- 8:00Speaker 4: with you, So I said, find long term positions, go
- 8:03Speaker 4: heavy on ETFs and index ones as well, right, because
- 8:06Speaker 4: these are if you're at the beginning of your journey,
- 8:08Speaker 4: these are some safer place to be invested in. But also, uh,
- 8:12Speaker 4: and this is kind of like my number four is
- 8:14Speaker 4: find your number? What's your buying number going to be?
- 8:16Speaker 2: Right?
- 8:16Speaker 4: Because if the market pulls back and you already have
- 8:20Speaker 4: if you've done your research and you study your year
- 8:22Speaker 4: over year returns and you notice is going to be
- 8:24Speaker 4: your buying number, you actually are looking forward to the
- 8:27Speaker 4: pullbacks so you can actually get in the position where
- 8:29Speaker 4: you want because you're going to have it at a
- 8:31Speaker 4: lower price point and you're gonna have it long term.
- 8:34Speaker 4: So I agree with all the ones you said, and
- 8:35Speaker 4: those are just like, uh, not even ask aditions additions
- 8:39Speaker 4: to what you said.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think definitely. I would want to just
- 8:44Speaker 2: talk about the index fun part a little bit, because
- 8:46Speaker 2: you had talked about it last week a little bit.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Bad think. I don't know if people actually understood the
- 8:51Speaker 2: full braph of what you said. So, especially for new beginners,
- 8:55Speaker 2: who I feel I have a suspicion that the vast
- 8:58Speaker 2: majority of people are new and or still like in
- 9:01Speaker 2: the amateur phases, is you have to be careful of
- 9:04Speaker 2: the vocal minority social media, Like you go on like
- 9:09Speaker 2: different shade room and all that, and it's like a
- 9:10Speaker 2: bunch of like negative comments. You could put somebody's grandmother
- 9:13Speaker 2: on share room, somebody's gonna say she's ugly. But the
- 9:16Speaker 2: problem is that it's still a vocal minority. The vast
- 9:20Speaker 2: majority of people don't feel like that, but it feels
- 9:23Speaker 2: like it because the minority have a loud voice. Same
- 9:26Speaker 2: thing when invested, I'm noticing like, no matter what you
- 9:28Speaker 2: say about investing, somebody's gonna be like, oh, that's not true.
- 9:32Speaker 2: You can double leverage this and make twenty like thousand percent,
- 9:35Speaker 2: and you start to feel like everybody's an expert. What
- 9:39Speaker 2: it does is that it makes the people that's not experts,
- 9:41Speaker 2: that's just beginning feel uncomfortable. But the vast majority of
- 9:46Speaker 2: people are not that. So I say that to say
- 9:50Speaker 2: he has to talk about this index fun. The reason
- 9:51Speaker 2: why Ian talks about index is a lot, and he
- 9:54Speaker 2: said it last week, is that it gives you a hedge.
- 9:57Speaker 2: So like if you're in the tech right and people
- 10:00Speaker 2: saying like a sector rotation or tech is going down,
- 10:02Speaker 2: Da da da dad. Well that's one of the benefits
- 10:04Speaker 2: of having an index fund because the index fund you
- 10:08Speaker 2: have the total market, the total market or five hundred
- 10:10Speaker 2: s and P five hundred. So now if one sector
- 10:15Speaker 2: is doing bad, you're not. You don't have all your
- 10:17Speaker 2: eggs in one basket. So that's that's like it's like
- 10:20Speaker 2: a safety net where the index fund. And that's why
- 10:23Speaker 2: when Mark Cuban says that he's invested in the Russell
- 10:26Speaker 2: to the Russell two thousand dollars and then he said,
- 10:29Speaker 2: like Netflix, and I think, I think Microsoft another like
- 10:32Speaker 2: tech company. So this is why the index fund is
- 10:36Speaker 2: imperative to your investment. Pyramid is like a foundational base.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Not to say that you only have to do index funds,
- 10:43Speaker 2: but it's the safest play when it comes to investing.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You're not gonna lose money long term with index funds,
- 10:49Speaker 2: and it gives you broad range di versification amongst pretty
- 10:52Speaker 2: much all areas of the economy. So me personally, I
- 10:56Speaker 2: put money into an index fund. Last week, I put
- 10:58Speaker 2: money into to the S and P five hundred and
- 11:01Speaker 2: I put money into vt I. So, you know, practice
- 11:05Speaker 2: what we preach. But I just want to just put
- 11:07Speaker 2: that out there because I feel like not enough people
- 11:12Speaker 2: they might not fully understand the index fund and why
- 11:15Speaker 2: that's important.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it was an Amazon Amazon Netflix.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and shout out to Hill Harper who just text
- 11:22Speaker 2: us on the check on the checking. My graduates from
- 11:28Speaker 2: my school being force back drop drop, Mike, drop backdrop drop.
- 11:47Speaker 5: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 11:51Speaker 5: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 11:55Speaker 5: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 11:59Speaker 5: filming It's spelling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 12:03Speaker 5: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 12:07Speaker 5: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 12:10Speaker 5: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 12:15Speaker 5: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 12:19Speaker 5: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 12:22Speaker 5: are here illegally, your next you will be fine. Nearly
- 12:26Speaker 5: one thousand dollars a day. Imprisoned and deported, you will

- 12:34Speaker 5: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump America's laws,
- 12:42Speaker 5: border and families will be protected. Sponsored by the United
- 12:46Speaker 5: States Department of Homeland Security,
