- 0:01Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich. What a War of the Roses, huh?
- 0:04Speaker 2: Woo!
- 0:05Speaker 1: Vonda, you got a comment on War of the Roses?
- 0:07Speaker 1: Go ahead. Thanks for holding.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Hi.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Hi.
- 0:12Speaker 3: So I was thinking that the husband is kind of
- 0:16Speaker 3: insecure a little bit. I think that her going home,
- 0:20Speaker 3: her growth is fine. But also she did say that
- 0:26Speaker 3: she listens to the show. So I don't know if she...
- 0:31Speaker 3: you know, knew what was going on, but I think
- 0:33Speaker 3: that nothing's going on there, but she really needs to
- 0:36Speaker 3: get it together because he's never going to get over it.
- 0:40Speaker 3: So maybe she needs, they maybe need to go to counseling, but.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It sounds like communication.
- 0:48Speaker 5: Yes.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Hey, thank you for listening. Thank you.
- 0:52Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 0:53Speaker 3: All right. Bye-bye.
- 0:54Speaker 2: There's a story, a local story that's gone national. It
- 0:59Speaker 2: was all over MSN. It's on CNN, all the ends.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And I thought he's really cool. It's about an Arizona
- 1:07Speaker 2: father and son. They're getting major props for running a
- 1:09Speaker 2: business where they fix people's cars.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Well, actually, we have them on it. Michael, Michael, good morning.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Good morning. How are you doing?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Are you the father or the son?
- 1:19Speaker 5: I'm the father. Do you have a.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Holy Spirit there that's helping him out? Father, son, Holy Spirit. Hey,
- 1:29Speaker 1: so congratulations. I think that's really cool. What you guys
- 1:30Speaker 1: are doing. Can you explain a little bit more what
- 1:32Speaker 1: you guys are doing?
- 1:33Speaker 5: Um, yeah, I mean, basically, uh, you know, 10 years ago, my,
- 1:37Speaker 5: the AC went out in my own van and I
- 1:39Speaker 5: had to learn how to fix it because I couldn't
- 1:41Speaker 5: afford the shops. And once I learned how to fix it,
- 1:45Speaker 5: I thought, well, I could just kind of do this
- 1:47Speaker 5: for other people. And I, you know, I started with
- 1:49Speaker 5: friends and family and, you know, people on Facebook I
- 1:52Speaker 5: knew and stuff like that. And then, uh, a couple
- 1:55Speaker 5: of friends got together and we just kind of made
- 1:58Speaker 5: it a thing, you know, we made it a Facebook
- 1:59Speaker 5: page and kind of just went public with it. And
- 2:02Speaker 5: that was, that was 10 years ago. And we just
- 2:04Speaker 5: kind of, we've been just, you know, COVID kind of
- 2:08Speaker 5: stopped things and, um, got it going back up after
- 2:12Speaker 5: a few months, but just doing it by myself out
- 2:14Speaker 5: of my house and, um, you know, with my son helping. And, um,
- 2:18Speaker 5: so yeah, so since the start of COVID, I've just
- 2:21Speaker 5: been doing it by myself out of my garage at home. And,
- 2:24Speaker 5: you know, people just have to buy the parts. And
- 2:26Speaker 5: then there's a small little fee to schedule just to,
- 2:30Speaker 5: you know, reserve your slot. And beyond that, we just
- 2:33Speaker 5: ask that people donate for the labor. It's a really
- 2:35Speaker 5: cool program we do.
- 2:36Speaker 2: So in one sentence, if you can, explain what you
- 2:40Speaker 2: and your son do.
- 2:42Speaker 5: In one sentence.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Yeah, we repair, you know, minor car problems with a
- 2:51Speaker 5: focus on A.C., for needy families in Phoenix for donation-based labor.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And what part of town are you in?
- 3:00Speaker 5: I am in Glendale. We're near 43rd and Cactus area.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And you do it out of your house or do
- 3:05Speaker 1: you have a garage now?
- 3:06Speaker 5: I do it out of my home garage.
- 3:08Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 3:10Speaker 6: I mean, driving without an AC in Arizona is actually
- 3:14Speaker 6: very dangerous.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So you're doing a very amazing service.
- 3:17Speaker 5: It is brutal. There are stories every year of children
- 3:20Speaker 5: and elderly who, you know, and handle the heat and,
- 3:24Speaker 5: and have serious health issues.
- 3:27Speaker 7: So just out of curiosity, what, if you took your
- 3:29Speaker 7: car to a shop to get your AC fixed, what,
- 3:31Speaker 7: what prices do you normally hear?
- 3:33Speaker 5: Uh, well, it depends on the extent of what repairs needed, but, um,
- 3:38Speaker 5: you can expect to spend between 2000 and 4,000, even
- 3:42Speaker 5: for the basic of AC repairs.
- 3:44Speaker 7: And so what's the cost if you buy the, like
- 3:46Speaker 7: a basic part and you guys do it?
- 3:49Speaker 5: Um, so let's say you need a new condenser cause
- 3:52Speaker 5: something popped up off the road and popped a hole
- 3:54Speaker 5: in yours. Um, if you were to go to a
- 3:57Speaker 5: typical shop for a condenser would be 1800 to 2500. Um,
- 4:01Speaker 5: if I was to do it, buying the part is
- 4:03Speaker 5: anywhere from 55 to a hundred bucks and then you
- 4:07Speaker 5: would just donate for the labor.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. So how do people get ahold of you?
- 4:10Speaker 5: I mean, it is a massive, what's that?
- 4:13Speaker 1: What's your Facebook? How do they get ahold of you?
- 4:15Speaker 5: They can find us on Facebook at just the same
- 4:18Speaker 5: spelling as our name, the Junkie Garage at J-U-N-K-I-E. And then, yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 5: we just ask that, you know, people support us on there.
- 4:26Speaker 5: And we have a little $ 2. 50 subscription on there that,
- 4:30Speaker 5: you know, is going to make a massive impact in
- 4:33Speaker 5: Phoenix when we get, you know, lots of subscribers. And,
- 4:36Speaker 5: you know, literally nobody is going to feel the financial burden.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Do you have a normal job or is that what
- 4:44Speaker 1: you do now?
- 4:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I work in construction in a high-end cabinet shop.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I do office stuff, bidding and stuff like that. But
- 4:53Speaker 5: I spent years out in the field doing that sort
- 4:55Speaker 5: of stuff and just, you know, worked my way up
- 4:59Speaker 5: to the office.
- 5:00Speaker 1: What's the cabinet company called?
- 5:03Speaker 5: Uh, Dan Hutchins, woodworking.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Oh, Danny Hutchins. We know him. No, I don't know.
- 5:11Speaker 1: What the heck?
- 5:12Speaker 7: If somebody wants to, well, what if I don't need
- 5:15Speaker 7: an AC, but I want to donate a little bit
- 5:16Speaker 7: to your cause. Can you do that on your page too?
- 5:19Speaker 5: Absolutely. You can go onto our website, the junkie garage.org
- 5:22Speaker 5: and you can do a one-time donation there. Or if
- 5:25Speaker 5: you plan to use our services, there are two different
- 5:29Speaker 5: subscription options that will offer a You know, small discounts
- 5:33Speaker 5: for the appointment fees.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Man, I love that. Okay. Here it is. I found it. Thejunkiegarage.org. Okay.
- 5:37Speaker 5: But I had no idea it was going nationwide. Oh,
- 5:40Speaker 5: you want to hear?
- 5:41Speaker 1: You're so popular.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Wait, how did it happen? Who first got a hold
- 5:43Speaker 2: of you? Because it's gone all over the place. I'll
- 5:45Speaker 2: play you a clip. Wait, first of all, here's you
- 5:46Speaker 2: from the news. Here's you from the news last night.
- 5:49Speaker 5: The way my program works, I don't have any limitations.
- 5:51Speaker 5: There's no qualifications. There's no... There's no nothing. You just
- 5:54Speaker 5: schedule on our website. I don't ask you for your income.
- 5:57Speaker 5: I don't ask you who you are or where you
- 5:58Speaker 5: came from or anything like that. I don't care about
- 6:01Speaker 5: any of that. I just want to help people get
- 6:03Speaker 5: their cars working right. First come, first serve schedule on
- 6:05Speaker 5: the website. We help the community out. We work on
- 6:07Speaker 5: their cars, and it means a lot to me. It's
- 6:10Speaker 5: an amazing bonding experience, and it gives me an opportunity
- 6:14Speaker 5: that most kids don't get.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Man, whoever interviewed you for that did a much better
- 6:17Speaker 1: job than we did.
- 6:19Speaker 5: That was CBS, I think.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 2: They're professionals. They got picked up everywhere, bro. You're on CNN.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You're on MSN everywhere.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Fox. Wow.
- 6:29Speaker 5: I had a teacher from Texas reach out and tell
- 6:32Speaker 5: me that she saw it on CNN, but that was
- 6:34Speaker 5: the only thing I knew about nationwide. Where'd you grow up?
- 6:38Speaker 5: I grew up in Riverside, California.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Oh, how long have you been in Arizona?
- 6:43Speaker 5: I moved here in 2012. So it's been about 14 years.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And you do this stuff with your son. Where's your,
- 6:49Speaker 1: how old is your son?
- 6:51Speaker 5: He's 16 now, but when he first started helping me,
- 6:54Speaker 5: he was about eight.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Where does he go to school?
- 6:57Speaker 5: He does homeschooling.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 6:59Speaker 5: So he just does his own, like, online homeschooling.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Right on.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Well, again, it's the Junkie Garage, and you can sign
- 7:06Speaker 2: up there. And, you know, because we have a foundation
- 7:08Speaker 2: called the Love Up Foundation. We try to do the
- 7:10Speaker 2: same thing.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Oh, I love your foundation.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Oh, you're familiar? Absolutely.
- 7:15Speaker 5: I've been listening to you guys for as long as
- 7:16Speaker 5: I've lived in Arizona. I've actually reached out to you
- 7:19Speaker 5: guys a few times to talk about uh, like I've
- 7:21Speaker 5: messaged you guys to see if we could talk about
- 7:23Speaker 5: junkie garage, but it's been a long time. It's been
- 7:26Speaker 5: a long time.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Got back to you. We don't have as good a
- 7:30Speaker 1: customer service as junkie garage. Our foundation. We should, we'll
- 7:34Speaker 1: make a donation.
- 7:35Speaker 5: I think I reached out on Instagram like years ago.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Well, thank you for listening. We're going to make a
- 7:38Speaker 1: donation to the junkie garage from love up foundation too.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And maybe we can work together and work together at
- 7:43Speaker 1: Christmas time and help some people too.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Would love to do that.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Thanks, Michael.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Would love to do that.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Thanks, man. Hold on so we get all your information
- 7:48Speaker 1: and stuff, man. That's very cool. Thejuckygarage.org. That's cool.
- 7:52Speaker 3: So cool.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That's very cool. By the way, we're going to play
- 7:54Speaker 1: Minute to Win It, so we've got a chance at $ 1, 000.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Wait a second.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Hey, Michael, we could probably do something with you, Peoria Ford,
- 8:01Speaker 2: and our Love Up Foundation because you're right over there.
- 8:03Speaker 2: How far away are you from Peoria Ford? They're off
- 8:05Speaker 2: of Bell and the 101.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Yeah, 10 minutes, if that. Yeah, I would love to
- 8:10Speaker 5: collaborate and do something like that. Yeah, we'll get Pat
- 8:13Speaker 5: Hickey involved. I also do car raffles. So people donate
- 8:16Speaker 5: cars to me, and I fix them up and raffle
- 8:18Speaker 5: them off. Oh, that's cool, too. If Pat Hickey would
- 8:22Speaker 5: like to donate a used car that we can raffle off,
- 8:24Speaker 5: that would be awesome.
- 8:26Speaker 7: Man, we've got to protect Michael. I mean, the community
- 8:28Speaker 7: needs a guy like this.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Are people trying to hurt you?
- 8:33Speaker 5: Not yet, but it's just now going nationwide.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You know what I mean. Protect and promote. That guy's
- 8:40Speaker 1: fixing too many cars for free. Take him out. Big
- 8:42Speaker 1: car's going to come after him.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Big car. It's probably not easy.
- 8:49Speaker 1: That guy's gotten into my problems.
- 8:51Speaker 7: Yeah, Pat's like, yeah, my shop's getting two grand for ACs.
- 8:53Speaker 7: This guy can't undercut me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Take him out. Michael, hold on, man. Thank you. Thank
- 8:58Speaker 1: you very much. We're going to play Minute to Minute. Oh, man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: that's hilarious. Yeah, we got $ 1, 000 at Pat Hickey's Minute.
- 9:06Speaker 1: What a good guy. What a great guy.
- 9:07Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 9:08Speaker 6: That's so generous.
- 9:09Speaker 2: By the way, any of you guys catch, I have
- 9:11Speaker 2: such a debate going on right now with Ted Lasso
- 9:15Speaker 2: season four.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Oh yeah. I, I can't listen. It's a, it's a
- 9:20Speaker 7: really sentimentally great show. but it kind of hangs in
- 9:24Speaker 7: that a little too much. I want it to be funnier.
- 9:26Speaker 1: How far are you with that? Three episodes. Okay, because
- 9:29Speaker 1: the newest one dropped last night, yesterday. Yes, but there's
- 9:32Speaker 1: four out? I don't know. Yeah, I think there's four
- 9:33Speaker 1: or five.
- 9:34Speaker 6: I'm two episodes behind because it was like there was Furious,
- 9:37Speaker 6: and then I started that Telemasca show on Netflix, and
- 9:40Speaker 6: then this morning Chad Powers dropped. And so I'm going
- 9:43Speaker 6: to be watching that until I'm done with it because
- 9:44Speaker 6: I've already binged four episodes.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Okay.
- 9:46Speaker 1: It's on Google. I usually go think they go once
- 9:48Speaker 1: a week. Yeah, no, they're out. They dropped them all?
- 9:51Speaker 1: I mean, I've watched four episodes. Oh, my gosh.
- 9:53Speaker 8: They gave us what we wanted because that was my
- 9:55Speaker 8: problem with Chad Powers is I hated waiting every week.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I was going to say, so I started watching Ted Lasso.
- 9:59Speaker 1: and the most recent episode dropped yesterday and I think
- 10:01Speaker 1: the first three episodes are kind of weak and it
- 10:03Speaker 1: almost seems like he's making fun of himself and last
- 10:05Speaker 1: night's episode was like kind of serious and also kind
- 10:08Speaker 1: of like, I was like, like, I didn't enjoy it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So I go online.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I just read all these rave reviews about the most
- 10:13Speaker 2: recent episode.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm like, man, something must be wrong with me.
- 10:16Speaker 7: Well, I think people love the characters. There's a lot
- 10:18Speaker 7: of characters in the show, and people love seeing them.
- 10:21Speaker 7: And I think the show seems long, too. It's like
- 10:24Speaker 7: a 50-minute show. Well, for me, that's probably because most
- 10:28Speaker 7: people like me, I want more of it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I want more.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I don't want it to end, but I also want
- 10:31Speaker 2: it to get better. But apparently yesterday's episode was like
- 10:34Speaker 2: this great episode, and I was just like, I don't
- 10:38Speaker 2: get it.
- 10:39Speaker 6: What do you think it needs more of? What would
- 10:41Speaker 6: make it better in John Jay's eyes?
- 10:45Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It almost seems like he's a parody of himself, but
- 10:49Speaker 2: then the most recent episode, he was less of a
- 10:52Speaker 2: parody of himself.
- 10:54Speaker 8: Okay. You're going to have to watch it, you guys.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It insists upon itself. Yeah, yeah. Okay, we're going to
- 10:59Speaker 1: play a minute to win. We've got Starla as our contestant.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Good morning, Starla.
- 11:03Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 11:04Speaker 1: What part of town are you in right now?
- 11:07Speaker 4: Phoenix.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Where?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Phoenix.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Just like North Phoenix.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Where? Oh, my gosh. Give us your exact location. I
- 11:15Speaker 1: like to visualize because I'm from here.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Give me your exact address.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I like it. Are you in your house?
- 11:21Speaker 2: Are you on North Phoenix 101 and Scottsdale Road?
- 11:26Speaker 1: Are you by the Mayo Clinic? Are you central North Phoenix?
- 11:30Speaker 8: No, we're over by I-17 in Thunderbird.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 1: See, way out there where I don't go. Okay, good.
- 11:37Speaker 1: All right.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Yeah, a little far.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You got a chance at $ 1, 000 right now.
- 11:40Speaker 8: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 11:43Speaker 8: Peoria Ford right now.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Minute to win it.
- 11:46Speaker 7: Oh, Starla, the opportunity is yours. I want to give
- 11:48Speaker 7: you $ 1, 000 so bad. Let's lock it in. 60 seconds,
- 11:51Speaker 7: 10 questions. You get them right, you get $ 1, 000. What
- 11:54Speaker 7: bird is especially famous for mimicking human speech?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Walking bird.
- 12:02Speaker 1: What gas is commonly used to fill party balloons so
- 12:05Speaker 1: they float?
- 12:08Speaker 3: Helium.
- 12:09Speaker 1: What galaxy contains our solar system?
- 12:13Speaker 5: Milky Way.
- 12:15Speaker 7: What tennis Grand Slam tournament is played on clay courts
- 12:17Speaker 7: in Paris?
- 12:20Speaker 5: Oh, clay courts in Paris.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Can I say next?
- 12:26Speaker 1: No, you got to take that question. Meet them all.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Tennis? It is tennis, I told you that, but what's
- 12:34Speaker 1: it called?
- 12:34Speaker 4: Oh, I can't think of the name right now.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Racquetball sports?
- 12:44Speaker 7: The question was, which tennis Grand Slam tournament is played
- 12:50Speaker 7: on clay courts in Paris?
- 12:51Speaker 4: Oh, the tennis Grand Slam.
- 12:52Speaker 3: France, okay.
- 12:54Speaker 1: No, it's the French Open. Yeah, I don't know that one.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The French Open.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I wouldn't have guessed that. No, that's grass. That's played
- 13:00Speaker 2: on grass. Currently right now, the U.S. Open is being
- 13:03Speaker 2: played in New York, and my wife is obsessed with it.
- 13:06Speaker 2: It's Carlos Alcaraz played yesterday. He's freaking fantastic. You guys
- 13:09Speaker 2: get a chance to watch. He's got this pair of shoes.
- 13:12Speaker 1: They're the Travis Scott tennis shoes I've never seen before,
- 13:14Speaker 1: and I want them so bad. Have you seen them?
- 13:15Speaker 1: He's playing in Travis Scott's?
- 13:17Speaker 8: I'm loving all the custom outfits, though, that are, like,
- 13:19Speaker 8: going on. Naomi Osaka played.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yes, she came out in, like, a wedding dress outfit.
- 13:22Speaker 8: She came out in an outfit inspired by Allen Iverson.
- 13:25Speaker 8: So she has a sweatband, she has a slick back cornrows,
- 13:28Speaker 8: and she has the dopest outfit on. And Law Roach,
- 13:31Speaker 8: Zendaya's stylist, is who's styling her for the Open.
- 13:33Speaker 2: You know, Blake says, my wife says to me last night,
- 13:35Speaker 2: because we're watching Carlos Alcareza, he's in a tank top.
- 13:37Speaker 2: I've never seen, because they're really anal in tennis about
- 13:40Speaker 2: what you wear. And she's like, did you see, who
- 13:42Speaker 2: was that you just brought up?
- 13:43Speaker 5: Naomi Osaka.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Did you see Naomi Osaka? Did you guys talk about
- 13:45Speaker 1: her this morning? She came out in a wedding dress.
- 13:48Speaker 5: She's awesome. I was like, what?
- 13:49Speaker 1: No, we didn't talk about her.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 1: She's dope.
- 13:51Speaker 6: I mean, isn't that annoying as a celebrity that you
- 13:54Speaker 6: have to get a stylist for your sports tournament?
- 13:57Speaker 8: I mean, I think it's more so for like the
- 13:59Speaker 8: Instagram pics in the moment.
- 14:01Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 14:01Speaker 6: She looks amazing. No, like nothing bad about that. But like,
- 14:06Speaker 6: I would just think as an athlete, I would be
- 14:08Speaker 6: wanting to be more focused on like, you know, preparing
- 14:11Speaker 6: for this.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Or maybe wear the, maybe wear the shorts that make
- 14:14Speaker 1: you run the fastest.
- 14:15Speaker 8: Hey, you look good. You feel good.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You play good.
- 14:18Speaker 3: There you go.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:19Speaker 1: All right. Hey, Cassandra. wants to ask us a question.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Am I right, Cassandra?
- 14:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 14:25Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 14:27Speaker 4: So I actually was thinking about texting you guys today,
- 14:30Speaker 4: and then you happened to bring up the whole breath
- 14:32Speaker 4: augmentation conversation. And I'm, like, struggling with do or don't. Like,
- 14:39Speaker 4: is it fill in? Like, is anyone concerned about complications? Kyle,
- 14:44Speaker 4: you've had it done, right?
- 14:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:46Speaker 4: What?
- 14:48Speaker 3: No?
- 14:48Speaker 4: Twice.
- 14:49Speaker 7: Yes?
- 14:50Speaker 8: Boob jobs are definitely still in two of my best
- 14:53Speaker 8: friends just got boob jobs.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Okay honestly I think you can't worry about whether it's
- 14:57Speaker 6: in or out it has to be an extremely personal
- 14:59Speaker 6: decision that you want for you not because it's like
- 15:03Speaker 6: a fad or it's in style or or someone else
- 15:06Speaker 6: is doing it I would think I mean it's like
- 15:08Speaker 6: it's a major surgery and you're changing your body so
- 15:11Speaker 6: it has to be something that deep down you have
- 15:13Speaker 6: wanted either for a long time or you know you
- 15:15Speaker 6: truly do want and like it It doesn't matter if
- 15:18Speaker 6: it's in or out type thing.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I would start there.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Because the last thing you want to do is like
- 15:23Speaker 6: make a decision like that because of what everyone else
- 15:25Speaker 6: is doing.
- 15:27Speaker 8: I agree.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I guess I'm just trying to figure out if like
- 15:30Speaker 4: I'm going to regret doing it. It's definitely something I've
- 15:34Speaker 4: pondered for a long time and I have it like scheduled.
- 15:38Speaker 4: But like I said, it's more of the what ifs,
- 15:40Speaker 4: like the complications, the horror stories that you hear about.
- 15:43Speaker 4: But Peyton, you said you had two friends that did
- 15:45Speaker 4: it and they love it and everything's good.
- 15:47Speaker 5: They are.
- 15:48Speaker 8: And quite honestly, probably the best version of themselves. But
- 15:51Speaker 8: exactly like Kyle said, it took them a little bit.
- 15:53Speaker 8: They went through, they found the right doctor for them
- 15:55Speaker 8: and they felt comfortable with it. But they are obsessed
- 15:59Speaker 8: and so.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Am I.
- 16:03Speaker 6: I think also when you do find a doctor that
- 16:05Speaker 6: you're really comfortable with and that you've researched really well,
- 16:08Speaker 6: that can kind of help ease some of those potential
- 16:11Speaker 6: complication worries.
- 16:12Speaker 8: Okay.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:14Speaker 4: That's reassuring. And it's more like, you know, this isn't
- 16:17Speaker 4: a lifetime device. So then you have to go under again.
- 16:20Speaker 4: So there was that too.
- 16:22Speaker 5: I don't know if you guys thought about that.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You got to go under again, you said?
- 16:27Speaker 4: Well, like if you get it done the first time,
- 16:29Speaker 4: they only last, you know, so long. So 10 years
- 16:32Speaker 4: or some people have had them for 15.
- 16:34Speaker 6: Apparently it's longer than 10 years now. And I had
- 16:38Speaker 6: to do it twice because I actually had one that was,
- 16:41Speaker 6: I did have somewhat of a complication. I had something
- 16:43Speaker 6: called capsular contracture, which is where your body starts to
- 16:47Speaker 6: like kind of reject it. And so it started pushing
- 16:49Speaker 6: it up out of the pocket. It wasn't painful like
- 16:51Speaker 6: for me and it wasn't like dangerous, but well, it
- 16:55Speaker 6: also did rupture, but also I was fine for years
- 16:57Speaker 6: and years.
- 16:57Speaker 1: You remember it looked like Peyton's lazy eye.
- 16:59Speaker 6: It was like one became very lopsided out of nowhere.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 17:04Speaker 4: But at the same time.
- 17:05Speaker 1: It was like, it was still okay.
- 17:07Speaker 6: So I think you have to go into it knowing,
- 17:09Speaker 6: I mean, just like anything else you go into, you're
- 17:10Speaker 6: buying a car.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Well, the car could break down. The car could do
- 17:13Speaker 1: all these things.
- 17:13Speaker 6: So it's kind of like, but you either really want
- 17:15Speaker 6: and need the car. That might not be the greatest analogy,
- 17:20Speaker 6: but yeah, you have to really think it out. And
- 17:22Speaker 6: you're doing the right thing by not just going for
- 17:24Speaker 6: it when you're worried.
- 17:26Speaker 4: And you weren't concerned about anesthesia, like going under that?
- 17:30Speaker 1: No.
- 17:31Speaker 6: I also find like worrying about things like that also
- 17:34Speaker 6: like puts poison in your body.
- 17:36Speaker 1: So I'm kind of like against it.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Like I definitely think it's smart to make the right
- 17:39Speaker 6: decision and weigh out all the options. But like at
- 17:41Speaker 6: one point when you decide to do it, if you
- 17:42Speaker 6: worry about it, you're just causing stress in your body
- 17:44Speaker 6: and stress actually is poison for your body.
- 17:46Speaker 3: So.
- 17:48Speaker 4: That is true.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Make the decision to go for it and just like trust,
- 17:51Speaker 6: trust the universe.
- 17:53Speaker 7: The universe brought you to this decision.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I will clearly because we're on the phone right now.
- 18:01Speaker 4: So yeah.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Good luck. Good luck.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Well, thank you guys. Have a good day.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Thanks for calling in. You guys handled that really good. Yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: it was great. Good thing they didn't just ask me
- 18:11Speaker 1: and John Jay. We would have had the worst answers
- 18:13Speaker 1: in the world. I just was like, do it. Whatever
- 18:15Speaker 1: makes you feel good. I'm all about any kind of
- 18:18Speaker 1: surgery that makes you feel good.
