Now, let's get to the bookstore. Lucas: So, the first thing you'd say when you walk in is 'I want a book'. In Telugu: నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. Luna: నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. That's 'I want a book'. Lucas: Exactly. నాకు means 'to me' or 'I want', పుస్తకం is 'book', కావాలి means 'want'. So together: నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. Luna: నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. What if I see a specific book? Lucas: You can ask 'How much is this book?' — ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? ఈ means 'this', ఎంత means 'how much'. Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? So pointing at a book: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? Lucas: Yes. And if you want to buy it, say 'Give me this book' — ఈ పుస్తకం ఇవ్వండి. ఇవ్వండి is 'give me'. Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఇవ్వండి. Give me this book. Lucas: The shopkeeper might ask 'Anything else?' — ఇంకేమైనా కావాలా? That's 'Do you want anything more?'. Luna: ఇంకేమైనా కావాలా? And if I'm done, I say 'That's all' — అంతే. Lucas: Perfect. అంతే. Let's practice a little scene. You walk into a bookstore. Luna: Okay. నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. Lucas: The shopkeeper says: ఏ పుస్తకం? Which book? You point to one and say: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? Lucas: He says: వంద రూపాయలు. Hundred rupees. Then you say: ఈ పుస్తకం ఇవ్వండి. Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఇవ్వండి. Lucas: He asks: ఇంకేమైనా కావాలా? And you say: అంతే. Luna: అంతే. That felt good. Lucas: You did great. Let's go through the phrases one more time. First: నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. Luna: నాకు పుస్తకం కావాలి. Lucas: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? Lucas: ఈ పుస్తకం ఇవ్వండి. Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఇవ్వండి. Lucas: ఇంకేమైనా కావాలా? Luna: ఇంకేమైనా కావాలా? Lucas: And అంతే. Luna: అంతే. Lucas: Now you can walk into any Telugu bookstore and buy a book.
