- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello everybody. Hi, Hi, Hi, guess who this is. It's
- 0:05Speaker 1: your girls for another episode of Darling Bish Hour.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We're back. We are back. Melissa and Amy I hear
- 0:14Speaker 2: and boy oh boy, are we gonna dig deep. Melissa
- 0:19Speaker 2: has her golden shovel out to dig therapeutically into this.
- 0:24Speaker 2: And you know, I've got I've got my gilded shovel,
- 0:29Speaker 2: as it were, and I'm going to dig around and
- 0:31Speaker 2: see what I can see. We're gonna talk about Summerhouse.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna mention it all. We're going to talk
- 0:37Speaker 1: about the second part of the Summerhouse Reunion, which I
- 0:41Speaker 1: had so many notes on that I honestly initially had
- 0:46Speaker 1: like thirty slides and I'm like, this is a class.
- 0:48Speaker 1: This is too many slides.
- 0:50Speaker 3: So I got to join Melissa at the Learning Addicts
- 0:56Speaker 3: this Saturday from twelve to to talk about Park two
- 1:01Speaker 3: of reunion.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It was that ridiculous. So what I said on my
- 1:08Speaker 1: Instagram was I had to pare it down to I
- 1:10Speaker 1: still think I had like thirteen slides, and I said,
- 1:12Speaker 1: if you want to hear us talk about all of it,
- 1:16Speaker 1: we're podcasting about it. And so here we are to
- 1:19Speaker 1: talk about all of the insane pieces and Amy, I'm
- 1:22Speaker 1: so glad you're here to do this because there were
- 1:24Speaker 1: some really funny moments, and then you know, there was
- 1:27Speaker 1: like a little bit of light in the dark.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Hot second Kyle Annie's tippies. I mean, Lindsay had so
- 1:35Speaker 2: many hilarious she is killing me this reunion. I just
- 1:39Speaker 2: I've fallen in love with Lindsay all over again, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 2: especially in light of she and Carl's essentially they're peacemaking.
- 1:46Speaker 2: It's incredible.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, it was really sweet to me to
- 1:50Speaker 1: see because one thing that we forgot through that horrendous
- 1:53Speaker 1: season last year of their breakup is that Lindsay and
- 1:56Speaker 1: Carl have a really sweet friend love, mutual respect and chemistry.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And here's the funny thing. So Carl had kJ on
- 2:07Speaker 1: his podcast and one of the things that he talked
- 2:09Speaker 1: about was the Internet noticing how he and Lindsay are
- 2:14Speaker 1: having like they have this chemistry. And Carl said, even
- 2:18Speaker 1: his mother said, wait a second, are you guys thinking
- 2:21Speaker 1: of getting back together?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Oh my god, I can't handle another awkward the moment
- 2:28Speaker 2: between those two.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I know, but Carl's like, no, He's like, I understand
- 2:33Speaker 1: what the Internet sees. I understand what people are seeing.
- 2:36Speaker 1: They do have the sweet kinship. It was just nice
- 2:39Speaker 1: to see that this reunion because it was filled with I've.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Wondered it too. So he said no, I mean said no, well,
- 2:46Speaker 2: maybe not now, maybe later, I don't know, but no,
- 2:50Speaker 2: I don't think they're meant to be together, but they
- 2:52Speaker 2: are meant to have this type of chemistry and to
- 2:55Speaker 2: have a friendship, which, right, I'm glad that they're able
- 2:58Speaker 2: to get a handle on now. And by the way,
- 3:01Speaker 2: when Amanda had an issue with Lindsey and Carl basically
- 3:08Speaker 2: like dunking in on you know, monetizing on that, and
- 3:12Speaker 2: when she said I would never do that to you,
- 3:14Speaker 2: there was not one centimeter of room for that to
- 3:19Speaker 2: be accepted in that room on any level, no matter
- 3:23Speaker 2: if she even had remotely of a ten percent point,
- 3:27Speaker 2: there was no room for that to be accepted, including myself.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I was like, oh, please stop, stop right now. You
- 3:33Speaker 2: should be so lucky that someone is actually trying to
- 3:36Speaker 2: make light of this. And by the way, it wasn't
- 3:38Speaker 2: Kyle that was doing it, although actually he was through
- 3:41Speaker 2: lover boy, I take that back. He was monetizing that.
- 3:44Speaker 2: A lot of it his lover boy is booming now
- 3:47Speaker 2: because of this, So.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Which listen, here's here's the honest thing. I think it
- 3:51Speaker 1: was so funny when Amanda said that, because to me,
- 3:54Speaker 1: what I'm seeing with Amanda is a lot of jealousy
- 3:57Speaker 1: right that she is now the villain and other people
- 4:00Speaker 1: are getting opportunities based on what's going on. Which, listen,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I understand, I'm sure that doesn't feel good. But when
- 4:06Speaker 1: Sierra was like, oh, so you wouldn't monetize, but you
- 4:09Speaker 1: would fuck your best friend's ex cool, and I was like, listen, Sierra,
- 4:14Speaker 1: no lives detected. One thing I really want to say
- 4:17Speaker 1: out the gate is that Nick Vile or vile, I'm
- 4:21Speaker 1: just gonna call him vile because he is vile said
- 4:23Speaker 1: that Mia and Sierra were being aggressive. Did you see that?
- 4:29Speaker 2: No? I did not see that. He said that on
- 4:31Speaker 2: his podcast.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yes, he said that Sierra and Mia were being aggressive, And.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm like, so, in what context in this reunion they're
- 4:40Speaker 2: being aggressive by facetiming and talking about how West has
- 4:43Speaker 2: played them both.
- 4:44Speaker 1: No, this was even before the second part of the reunion.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I think it was after the first part.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry, you're talking about Mia on the cast
- 4:50Speaker 2: at Summerhouse, not Mia, the one he was in an
- 4:53Speaker 2: exclusive relationship with.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Gotcha, yes, thank you, yes, yes, Because you're right, there
- 4:57Speaker 1: are those confusing pieces, But I I just want to
- 5:00Speaker 1: say that, like Sierra has every right the things that
- 5:04Speaker 1: she's saying. By the way, they sound harsh, but they
- 5:06Speaker 1: are spot on, ye, and they're not harsh. And like
- 5:10Speaker 1: my one main point is that a manage mental health
- 5:12Speaker 1: matters and she deserves to be attended to, but not
- 5:15Speaker 1: by Sierra anymore. Amanda lost that privilege and Sierra doesn't
- 5:21Speaker 1: owe her anything. So it's just like a friendly reminder
- 5:23Speaker 1: about how women of color are painted with this aggressive
- 5:27Speaker 1: brush when they're.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I can't believe he said that, I honestly.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yeah really I can.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Well yeah he does. I mean to even like to
- 5:37Speaker 2: not be that aware to have such a huge podcast
- 5:40Speaker 2: platform that he would say something like that and has
- 5:43Speaker 2: he apologized for this? Is is this something that we
- 5:45Speaker 2: know Amy?
- 5:47Speaker 1: No girl, No, honey, Nick, he doesn't know Apologies. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: don't know her, that's what Nick says. Apologies. I don't
- 5:54Speaker 1: know her. But listen, mediocre men love to take a
- 5:57Speaker 1: platform and say the crazy these things and then have
- 6:01Speaker 1: no consequences is yes, it's amazing to me, but anyway.
- 6:04Speaker 2: You know, by the way, in terms of that, I
- 6:06Speaker 2: have felt like Part one and Part two at least
- 6:09Speaker 2: at this point, unless people are throwing things at Amanda,
- 6:13Speaker 2: I think they're all handling it quite well, and they're
- 6:16Speaker 2: communicating their feelings, their points, their questions extremely on point,
- 6:22Speaker 2: and the anger from other cast members, I don't feel
- 6:28Speaker 2: is out of place. So when you take Mia for example,
- 6:32Speaker 2: when she's asking pointed questions, these are questions that everybody
- 6:36Speaker 2: has that someone needs to ask other than Sierra, because
- 6:40Speaker 2: she's not going to have the mental capacity to ask
- 6:44Speaker 2: what where, when, how, time plays timeline, you know, and
- 6:49Speaker 2: also Amanda, why did you do this? These types of things,
- 6:52Speaker 2: So I think that they're doing a great job. And
- 6:55Speaker 2: then Lindsey coming in and handing West his ass every
- 7:01Speaker 2: few minutes, and then also having comedic relief the fact
- 7:04Speaker 2: that Kyle can hold it together so much is unbelievable.
- 7:10Speaker 2: And then we've got very emotionally intelligent men on the
- 7:15Speaker 2: other side like Jesse and kJ and Carl, who are
- 7:19Speaker 2: all in tears at different times, who are empathetic, who
- 7:23Speaker 2: are compassionate in every which way, So I applaud everybody
- 7:28Speaker 2: except for West and Amanda, who are not doing a
- 7:30Speaker 2: good job.
- 7:32Speaker 1: No, it's like, and what's frustrating the cast and why
- 7:35Speaker 1: you're right that they're actually doing a great job is
- 7:38Speaker 1: because Amanda and West are peeing on our leg and
- 7:42Speaker 1: telling us that it's raining, and they're essentially like saying
- 7:47Speaker 1: they're accountable while doing the exact opposite of what true
- 7:51Speaker 1: accountability is. And another thing that Carl said on his
- 7:54Speaker 1: podcast was he was sitting next to Amanda and West
- 7:57Speaker 1: and He's like, I could not feel any emotion from them.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And like Carl kJ Jesse, they're all very sensitive souls, right.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You could see with those men the literal pain on
- 8:11Speaker 1: their faces, like Jesse. I swear I teared up a
- 8:15Speaker 1: few times because Kyle and Jesse they would make these
- 8:18Speaker 1: faces like they were physically in pain. And I just
- 8:21Speaker 1: think it's a really great reminder that these people are
- 8:25Speaker 1: showing no empathy, which is the only thing psychologically that
- 8:32Speaker 1: really can't be fixed, like empathy. I know, it's like empathy, Yeah,
- 8:39Speaker 1: exhibit either have it or you don't. And now, of
- 8:42Speaker 1: course there are there are levels, right like people like
- 8:45Speaker 1: you and I we probably I would argue you have
- 8:47Speaker 1: too much empathy. I think there was a mistake at
- 8:49Speaker 1: the factory when I was being made and I just
- 8:52Speaker 1: got all of it, like my family got none of it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And they're like, this child will have all of it
- 8:58Speaker 1: and her family will have none of it. And I
- 8:59Speaker 1: think I think that's what CAJ is reacting to. When
- 9:03Speaker 1: you grow up with parents who lack empathy and have
- 9:07Speaker 1: really scary characteristics, your nervous system recognizes that. And I
- 9:12Speaker 1: believe that kJ when he was telling his story about
- 9:16Speaker 1: you know, he talked to Wes and he was like,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I grew up my dad was a pathological liar and
- 9:21Speaker 1: a cheater, and I watched him destroy our family. And
- 9:25Speaker 1: that's why kJ has a lot of the trauma that
- 9:27Speaker 1: he has, and he can see it now in West.
- 9:30Speaker 1: He can recognize that in West, and so I think
- 9:33Speaker 1: that this cannot be overstated enough, that this is why
- 9:36Speaker 1: this is a big deal, because this was a family
- 9:38Speaker 1: of people who were lied to, who were deceived, and
- 9:42Speaker 1: who are sitting in front of people who they thought
- 9:45Speaker 1: were their friends and they just don't seem to care.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I also enjoyed how kJ made a point to say,
- 9:53Speaker 2: you also had that conversation, that very deep and meaningful
- 9:56Speaker 2: conversation in the Hampton's out to dinner about race and
- 10:00Speaker 2: and you said a lot of the things that were
- 10:02Speaker 2: important to them. To then have Sierra be treated in
- 10:06Speaker 2: this way when you've said what you said is also
- 10:10Speaker 2: very disturbing. And I thought it was really a poignant
- 10:14Speaker 2: moment to touch on. I know that we as like fans,
- 10:18Speaker 2: have touched on that, and we all could see Sierra
- 10:22Speaker 2: very emotional with kJ mentioning that. And boy does he
- 10:26Speaker 2: do a great job with speaking on these matters, because
- 10:29Speaker 2: it seems like if kJ or Mia doesn't point this out,
- 10:34Speaker 2: it's you know, to leave it to like right, I
- 10:38Speaker 2: mean I think that it's it's great if you know
- 10:41Speaker 2: someone who is called Cajun says it, but it doesn't
- 10:43Speaker 2: have enough weight. You know, when when you hear it
- 10:46Speaker 2: from Mia or caj it just it really it hits you.
- 10:51Speaker 2: It hits you, and it's more profound and you understand
- 10:54Speaker 2: it better. And I'm just glad you spoke on it
- 10:57Speaker 2: to mekj.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Is like the MVP because he is managing a lot
- 11:02Speaker 1: of stuff and I think, you know, watching this, I
- 11:06Speaker 1: understood what led to his psychiatric hospitalization, Like I understood
- 11:11Speaker 1: how this all started to happen, because yes, because so
- 11:16Speaker 1: I talked about on my last podcast what borderline personality
- 11:19Speaker 1: disorder is and how it's very mischaracterized and misjudged weaponized
- 11:24Speaker 1: a lot of the time. So what happened was kJ,
- 11:27Speaker 1: his father figure growing up, was very absent. He would
- 11:31Speaker 1: make a lot of promises and then not follow through.
- 11:33Speaker 1: He would do a lot of things to harm kJ
- 11:36Speaker 1: and his mother in a lot of different ways. So
- 11:39Speaker 1: kJ explained that he has been having hard times trusting
- 11:44Speaker 1: males in relationships right, which is totally totally understandable.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's interesting that West and him connected because isn't it
- 11:54Speaker 2: true that like you kind of end up sort of
- 11:58Speaker 2: gravitating taking out are people in toxic ways. So that
- 12:04Speaker 2: is incredibly interesting to me. And then for him to
- 12:08Speaker 2: recognize that so clearly right now is really a big deal.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Well, I think that's because he went to treatment. And
- 12:15Speaker 1: not only did he go to treatment, he was psychiatrically hospitalized,
- 12:19Speaker 1: and then he went to a recovery center that he
- 12:23Speaker 1: got a scholarship based on Carl. So Carl works with
- 12:27Speaker 1: this recovery center. I think it's just called recovery, and
- 12:30Speaker 1: CAJ was talking about how this was on Carl's podcast,
- 12:34Speaker 1: how he was homeless after the show. He didn't have
- 12:36Speaker 1: anywhere to live. Hej Yeah, he was staying with Sierra,
- 12:42Speaker 1: he was staying with Mia. And then when all of
- 12:46Speaker 1: this stuff started to happen, it impacted kJ so much
- 12:51Speaker 1: because here he is very vulnerable, first year person on
- 12:55Speaker 1: the show. Right, he went from a regular person to
- 12:57Speaker 1: a celebrity overnight. And then and he has this group
- 13:01Speaker 1: of guys who they literally felt like brothers. And now
- 13:06Speaker 1: he's experiencing that same trauma with West, where West he
- 13:09Speaker 1: realized like Wes was lying to his face. West was,
- 13:13Speaker 1: you know, doing all of these things and he clearly
- 13:15Speaker 1: doesn't care. And it triggered Kj's stuff. It triggered all
- 13:20Speaker 1: of his stuff, which in reality ended up being a
- 13:24Speaker 1: blessing in disguise, meaning like his rock bottom to help him.
- 13:29Speaker 1: So it's like this issue, this summerhouse issue, triggered his
- 13:32Speaker 1: stuff that hasn't popped up since high school.
- 13:36Speaker 2: WHOA so that the timeline actually lines up with him
- 13:40Speaker 2: going into a mental health facility after he found out
- 13:46Speaker 2: about West and Amanda.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I don't think it was after he found out because
- 13:50Speaker 1: he said it was in the fall. But what he
- 13:53Speaker 1: was saying is that when he left Summerhouse, like do
- 13:57Speaker 1: you remember the last episode, kJ was like sleeping a lot.
- 14:02Speaker 1: He was sleeping through things, and Dre was just like,
- 14:04Speaker 1: he's really tired. So his depression had started to come
- 14:08Speaker 1: back because his life was in this uncertain place in
- 14:10Speaker 1: Summerhouse was a great distraction. They compared it to like
- 14:13Speaker 1: a NASA mission, where like you're in this spaceship of
- 14:17Speaker 1: Summerhouse and then you come back down to Earth and
- 14:20Speaker 1: you go back to your life. And kJ was like, well,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I don't know what my life is. I don't know,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you know, because borderline personality disorder features a lot of
- 14:29Speaker 1: like self distorted views and not understanding like who we
- 14:33Speaker 1: are in relation to ourselves others in the world. And
- 14:36Speaker 1: so what I'm saying is a lot of those unresolved
- 14:38Speaker 1: issues were triggered by that alone, and then this stuff
- 14:44Speaker 1: with West really threw him for a loop because it
- 14:48Speaker 1: triggered a lot of his childhood stuff. So I say
- 14:52Speaker 1: that because again psychologically, to me, it was so interesting
- 14:55Speaker 1: to start putting these puzzle pieces together about how kJ
- 14:59Speaker 1: was so imp pacted, but really why everyone is so
- 15:03Speaker 1: upset about this is because you see everyone on that
- 15:06Speaker 1: cast just like so upset and so betrayed, and that
- 15:12Speaker 1: is very real.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Wow, I did not realize that about kJ. That is
- 15:17Speaker 2: so fascinating. Did he speak on why he didn't have
- 15:21Speaker 2: anywhere to live? I mean what happened? Like where was
- 15:24Speaker 2: he living before the show? And he how was he
- 15:27Speaker 2: living in New York City.
- 15:28Speaker 1: He didn't get into all the details either that I
- 15:32Speaker 1: was listening to it on hyperspeed too, because I was
- 15:34Speaker 1: frantically trying to it listen before he podcasted, So there
- 15:39Speaker 1: were definitely some details city either I missed or he
- 15:41Speaker 1: didn't give. But what I learned is that Mia and
- 15:45Speaker 1: Sierra were the ones who were like, you need to
- 15:49Speaker 1: go to the hospital. And kJ had trauma from being
- 15:53Speaker 1: hospitalized before because as a teenager when he was acting
- 15:57Speaker 1: out from self injurious behavior, which he and this is
- 16:00Speaker 1: a trigger warning, he admitted to cutting, which is his
- 16:05Speaker 1: form of self injurious behavior. He said the last time
- 16:08Speaker 1: he had a crisis like this was in high school.
- 16:10Speaker 1: His mom had to hospitalize him and just sobbed and
- 16:14Speaker 1: sobbed and sobbed because it was like the best thing
- 16:17Speaker 1: for him, but a lot of times treatment centers they
- 16:20Speaker 1: come with a lot of stuff that can also create
- 16:23Speaker 1: a lot of trauma and bad experiences unfortunately. And so
- 16:28Speaker 1: this time kJ was talking to his mother about Mia
- 16:32Speaker 1: and Sierra think that I should go in, and his
- 16:35Speaker 1: mother was like, well, I'm afraid that this will trigger
- 16:38Speaker 1: your trauma, and me and Sierra were basically like, no,
- 16:41Speaker 1: he has to go, and he did. So again, I
- 16:45Speaker 1: share all this because Mia, Sierra and caj are literally
- 16:51Speaker 1: a family unit. They really are. So seeing kJ stand
- 16:55Speaker 1: up for Sierra, seeing him represent being one of the
- 16:58Speaker 1: few men of call or on this show period historically, right,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I love seeing them really see each other and have
- 17:06Speaker 1: each other's back, because that's the problem with West and Amanda.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Sierra said, you satiated me, which I was like, oh,
- 17:14Speaker 1: that's such a good word. You satiated me by using
- 17:18Speaker 1: therapy language, but you didn't see me at all. And
- 17:22Speaker 1: she's right because it's proven in this reunion. And one
- 17:26Speaker 1: thing I wanted to point out is that at the
- 17:29Speaker 1: end when West and Amanda were like processing, which was
- 17:33Speaker 1: so weird, and we can talk about that in a moment.
- 17:35Speaker 1: One thing that Wes said, which shows me this point
- 17:40Speaker 1: that he doesn't get it at all. Is he told Amanda,
- 17:42Speaker 1: Sierra just wants to get under your skin. Oh yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: And I was it was chilling because I'm like, tell
- 17:49Speaker 1: me you don't get it without telling me that you
- 17:52Speaker 1: don't get it, Like that is a crazy thing to
- 17:56Speaker 1: say about this woman after what you two have done.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Youth right, that's what this is. She's devastated. She's like
- 18:06Speaker 1: he it just that moment. I was like, oh, Wes
- 18:11Speaker 1: brain is different. His brain is just different.
- 18:14Speaker 2: At least it's active. I was concerned that it wasn't
- 18:18Speaker 2: quite registering because I did find that moment when they're
- 18:22Speaker 2: together alone and actually speaking on what's happening, because that's
- 18:27Speaker 2: all we want to see. We really want to see
- 18:29Speaker 2: how they're actually communicating about this, because they're not showing
- 18:33Speaker 2: us and they're certainly not telling us what they have
- 18:35Speaker 2: talked about. It's all a secret. But for him to say,
- 18:39Speaker 2: you know, just be calm, apologize, and I thought, well,
- 18:44Speaker 2: are you so you're just telling her to do that,
- 18:46Speaker 2: like you're not telling yourself to do that. We haven't
- 18:49Speaker 2: heard much from you at all. And she immediately turned
- 18:53Speaker 2: on herself and went inward and was like I can
- 18:56Speaker 2: do better. So now she's taking her cues from him,
- 19:01Speaker 2: like he is steering the ship, if you will, And
- 19:04Speaker 2: she has let him just completely take over her, just
- 19:09Speaker 2: like she let Kyle take over her, right.
- 19:11Speaker 1: And that's just what I was going to say, is
- 19:13Speaker 1: she jumped ship from Kyle to West.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And what I said last week is that Amanda has
- 19:19Speaker 1: been in the passenger side of her life forever. I
- 19:23Speaker 1: believed that she has extremely low self esteem, very very
- 19:27Speaker 1: significant insecurity. I believe she has a distorted sense of self.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I've noticed a couple of red flags with her behavior
- 19:35Speaker 1: around food and her body and things like that. And
- 19:40Speaker 1: so what I think is happening is Amanda is a
- 19:45Speaker 1: victim of her own life, not understanding how she gives
- 19:49Speaker 1: away her autonomy to men. So she got tired of
- 19:54Speaker 1: what Kyle was doing with her autonomy, so she manipulated
- 19:57Speaker 1: the cast into doing her dirty work and then just
- 20:00Speaker 1: jump ship. Now West is telling her what to do,
- 20:03Speaker 1: and it's like, if West is your guide, you in danger, girl,
- 20:07Speaker 1: You are in real danger.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I get giving up your autonomy. I've done that. I
- 20:13Speaker 2: did that so when I was young, and it lasted
- 20:18Speaker 2: for such a long time and I was so fortunate
- 20:21Speaker 2: to gain it back because many people don't. It's like
- 20:24Speaker 2: having a second chance of life, because it is so
- 20:28Speaker 2: vastly different from the years that you live not having
- 20:33Speaker 2: your own persona, you know, and just subletting your soul
- 20:38Speaker 2: to somebody and you don't really even know who you
- 20:42Speaker 2: are anymore because that person is the dictator of your
- 20:46Speaker 2: life and you're in pain and you know it, and
- 20:49Speaker 2: yet you let them do that. It is a level
- 20:53Speaker 2: of self harm in many ways because you become addicted
- 20:56Speaker 2: to that feeling of misery and unique to be controlled,
- 21:00Speaker 2: and then the emotional lows that you experience. You're not
- 21:07Speaker 2: used to having any real peaceful stability, so it's too
- 21:13Speaker 2: hard to like know that even exists, to like jump
- 21:16Speaker 2: to another ship that is like the peace ship.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Right. That's so well said, Amy, because what happens is
- 21:23Speaker 1: humans will always recreate on healthy relational dynamics that we
- 21:28Speaker 1: aren't aware of. If we are not aware of it,
- 21:31Speaker 1: how on earth could we change it? And so what
- 21:34Speaker 1: happens is when we live subconsciously. And you're right, I've
- 21:37Speaker 1: done that in my life too, in my earlier dating relationships.
- 21:41Speaker 1: This is something many people do. Yeah, And it's no shade.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Trauma isn't our fault, but it is our responsibility to fix.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And if we don't work on it or understand it
- 21:51Speaker 1: at the very least, humans will recreate these unhealthy patterns.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And because Amanda didn't give herself any time between these relationships,
- 22:01Speaker 1: she is repeating the same patterns, frankly in worse, more
- 22:05Speaker 1: concerning ways because Kyle. Listen, Kyle has his stuff right.
- 22:10Speaker 1: He certainly they didn't have a good marriage. I don't
- 22:13Speaker 1: think he was a good husband. But Kyle really cares
- 22:16Speaker 1: about Amanda. He has empathy and understanding about the things
- 22:20Speaker 1: that are going on, whereas West does not have any
- 22:24Speaker 1: of that. And this is what happens. Not only did
- 22:26Speaker 1: she make a similar choice, she made a worse choice.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that Kyle has empathy on the back end.
- 22:34Speaker 2: And I'm not ready to like wave my Kyle flag
- 22:38Speaker 2: because oh, certainly, yes, I know, I'm sure you agree,
- 22:42Speaker 2: but I honestly feel like so much of what we're
- 22:45Speaker 2: seeing from Kyle is relief that his business is doing well.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I swear to God, because he was never going to
- 22:57Speaker 2: give her what she kept asking for, and so I
- 23:01Speaker 2: just want to remind everybody that like we got here
- 23:07Speaker 2: because of what he was doing, and that doesn't mean
- 23:10Speaker 2: that she is obviously, you know, not responsible for the
- 23:14Speaker 2: choices that she made. She stayed, like why are you
- 23:17Speaker 2: staying in this situation? And I know it gets more
- 23:19Speaker 2: complicated because of reality television and you're looking at the
- 23:22Speaker 2: like Ariana Sandoval situation, and I feel like those two
- 23:26Speaker 2: when you look at them, both they have very similar
- 23:28Speaker 2: structures in that they're both kind of trapped in this
- 23:31Speaker 2: brand and this thing, and then they can't really make
- 23:35Speaker 2: two biggest swings publicly because they got to lock it down,
- 23:39Speaker 2: which is why they end up doing this stuff in secret.
- 23:42Speaker 2: So because they need to get out in some sort
- 23:45Speaker 2: of way, and where are they going to go. They
- 23:46Speaker 2: can't go to public places. They have to go within
- 23:49Speaker 2: and find the perfect secret person to do that to
- 23:54Speaker 2: like express themselves from the unhappiness of what their partner
- 23:57Speaker 2: is in giving them instead of making good choice, Melissa,
- 24:01Speaker 2: but Kyle from the jump was cheating on her, you know,
- 24:06Speaker 2: before they got married, she chose to like continue on.
- 24:10Speaker 2: She was young, didn't understand probably and made that choice.
- 24:14Speaker 2: But here we are, and it's the million dollar question
- 24:16Speaker 2: that comes up in this reunion, which is did he
- 24:21Speaker 2: cheat on her when they were married? And so that's
- 24:24Speaker 2: what I've been waiting to hear the answer to. I
- 24:27Speaker 2: don't know if Kyle is fully like being honest with
- 24:30Speaker 2: us here. That's what I'm a little worried about. What
- 24:32Speaker 2: are your thoughts?
- 24:33Speaker 1: I mean, your point is super valid in that, like
- 24:36Speaker 1: the audience is so fickle, right, So first Amanda was
- 24:40Speaker 1: like the savior and Kyle was the villain, and now
- 24:43Speaker 1: it's totally flip flopped, and the reality lies that all
- 24:47Speaker 1: parties when a relationship ruptures beyond repair, the people involved
- 24:53Speaker 1: are both responsible. And it may not be fifty to fifty,
- 24:57Speaker 1: but both of them played a role. And what I
- 25:00Speaker 1: felt was interesting is that Kyle did seem to get defensive,
- 25:06Speaker 1: but I think I understand the reason why. So Amanda's
- 25:09Speaker 1: on the couch trying to say, well, you cheated, and
- 25:11Speaker 1: you did this and you did that to distract from
- 25:14Speaker 1: her own stuff that she should be accountable for. So
- 25:19Speaker 1: my perception is some of Kyle's defensiveness and like parsing
- 25:24Speaker 1: out semantics with like was I inappropriate? Yes? Did I
- 25:28Speaker 1: have an affair?
- 25:29Speaker 2: No?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Did I sleep with someone?
- 25:30Speaker 2: No?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Right, it's all too little, too late. But I think
- 25:34Speaker 1: that his frustration is because it's like, well, who cares.
- 25:38Speaker 1: You may have had an emotional affair. So like Kyle's
- 25:42Speaker 1: acting out behavior was a lot louder and messier and
- 25:45Speaker 1: like in your face, but Amanda's is quieter, it's quietly manipulative,
- 25:51Speaker 1: it's more secretive, it's more underhanded, And I think that's
- 25:55Speaker 1: what's making Kyle wacky in terms of like his anger
- 26:01Speaker 1: and his defensiveness, because he said the one thing he
- 26:04Speaker 1: said on the reunion that I was like, bro, just
- 26:07Speaker 1: proved what I've been saying for months. He goes, I
- 26:10Speaker 1: feel you were having everyone in the house do your
- 26:14Speaker 1: bidding while I was looking like the bad guy. And
- 26:17Speaker 1: now Kyle was the bad guy because of his insane behaviors,
- 26:21Speaker 1: Like when you act that way, always drunk, yeah, when
- 26:24Speaker 1: you act that way, yeah, when you're in it, when
- 26:28Speaker 1: you're like super insoxigated and just like having king Baby tantrums,
- 26:32Speaker 1: You're always going to be the bad guy no matter
- 26:35Speaker 1: what someone else is doing. But he does have points
- 26:38Speaker 1: that with West and Amanda, there's a lot of secrecy,
- 26:42Speaker 1: and again for me, these are red flags because secrets
- 26:45Speaker 1: keep us sick. Like within the addiction recovery mill. You
- 26:52Speaker 1: one thing that's completely understood is how dangerous secrecy can
- 26:58Speaker 1: be in terms of maintaining these like really unhealthy dynamics.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And so I sometimes I do. I think West and
- 27:06Speaker 1: Amanda there wounds match each other so well.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Sierra said it, Yeah, actually scary. Yeah, that's wild to
- 27:13Speaker 2: hear you say that. I mean, as just a pedestrian
- 27:17Speaker 2: over here in therapy, I think that I see that.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I think a lot of people see that. Sierra clearly
- 27:24Speaker 2: sees it. She has a different way of explaining it,
- 27:27Speaker 2: which was like it burns city. But it completely makes sense.
- 27:32Speaker 2: And I think people on the reunion even touched on
- 27:35Speaker 2: it this time, and while we were watching this season,
- 27:38Speaker 2: it made so much sense. Amanda is perfect for West
- 27:41Speaker 2: because she's married, so he doesn't need to really commit.
- 27:45Speaker 2: It's like a perfect situation. And then West is a
- 27:49Speaker 2: perfect fit for Amanda because he's a great distraction. He's
- 27:54Speaker 2: around no one will ever know. Why would I do this?
- 27:58Speaker 2: In plain sight? And and I'm completely safe because I'm married,
- 28:03Speaker 2: and so why would I. I can flirt as hard
- 28:07Speaker 2: and go as far as I want, and it's totally
- 28:09Speaker 2: fine because I'm married.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it. That's exactly right. It's like it's it's
- 28:14Speaker 1: the lure of the forbidden fruit.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and what do they have left now, Melissa? Because
- 28:19Speaker 2: now that's gone? So what is going to happen? Because
- 28:23Speaker 2: like the way that they communicate now, it's like they've
- 28:26Speaker 2: been together for eight years. The way that she's like,
- 28:28Speaker 2: don't eat that right now we're taking a break, and
- 28:31Speaker 2: don't do that with your mouth, it's like the bickering
- 28:33Speaker 2: has begun.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and did you catch he told her try not
- 28:37Speaker 1: to be so snippy? And I thought, sir, sir, sir,
- 28:42Speaker 1: I she did.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Not catch that? How did I not catch that? Where
- 28:46Speaker 2: was that in the dressing room?
- 28:48Speaker 1: So at the end when they're in the dressing room, yep,
- 28:51Speaker 1: and they're processing, and West is telling her how to
- 28:55Speaker 1: manipulate people, essentially by like, well, just pretend to apologize
- 28:59Speaker 1: and be home, but you don't actually have to have
- 29:02Speaker 1: any of those pesky feelings. Like that was such a
- 29:05Speaker 1: red flag for me.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Wow, right right? Yeah.
- 29:08Speaker 1: But then when he's telling.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Her to apologize, yes, and oh oh, and to not
- 29:14Speaker 2: be snippy.
- 29:15Speaker 1: No, when he says he says, don't be snippy, she
- 29:19Speaker 1: put the blanket like over her, and she says, oh,
- 29:22Speaker 1: I can do do better.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Okay. So I heard her do that. I did not
- 29:26Speaker 2: hear him say try not to be snippy. Don't be snippy.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Oh okay, Anti Merle, the hell is wrong with you?
- 29:37Speaker 1: I was like, don't be snippy. She is being of
- 29:42Speaker 1: like appropriately eviscerated, right, But it's like, don't be snippy.
- 29:46Speaker 1: That's your advice to her. And then the other piece
- 29:49Speaker 1: of advice he had for her, which was such red
- 29:51Speaker 1: flags when she left the first time, and Lindsay was like,
- 29:55Speaker 1: go after my mother. I clapped for mother. Hubbard in
- 29:59Speaker 1: that moment claps be a man and go get your
- 30:04Speaker 1: girla It was. But do you know what's crazy? So
- 30:09Speaker 1: West is only concerned with impression management, which impression management
- 30:14Speaker 1: is like it's it's a term that can exist on
- 30:18Speaker 1: a spectrum from unproblematic to pathological, like indicative of a
- 30:23Speaker 1: pathological behavior. So there's a huge swing. But impression management
- 30:27Speaker 1: is like being concerned with how you are being perceived.
- 30:31Speaker 1: So West is really only concerned. He doesn't care about
- 30:35Speaker 1: how people feel, he doesn't care about how he's made
- 30:37Speaker 1: them feel. He only cares about how he's being perceived.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Case in point, when Lindsay said go after your girl,
- 30:44Speaker 1: Wes said, well, why so then you guys could just
- 30:46Speaker 1: eviscerate me for leaving two? And I was yeah, right,
- 30:49Speaker 1: right right, yeah are you twelve? Like what are what
- 30:53Speaker 1: are you talking about? But that told me he doesn't
- 30:55Speaker 1: care about Amanda or anyone. He just cares about managing
- 30:59Speaker 1: his impressions of this.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Right, Oh he doesn't hear one continue to get laid right,
- 31:03Speaker 2: he had no. The fact that he didn't go after
- 31:06Speaker 2: her is that we shouldn't be surprised, but that we
- 31:09Speaker 2: got to see that happen. I wondered if she would
- 31:12Speaker 2: walk off, what was going to happen? And exactly what
- 31:16Speaker 2: I anticipated did, which is that he sat there like
- 31:19Speaker 2: a bump on a log and probably realized that he
- 31:25Speaker 2: missed his small window of getting up because like, so
- 31:29Speaker 2: she gets up and leaves. If he doesn't get up
- 31:32Speaker 2: and leave within about ten seconds, he looks like already
- 31:36Speaker 2: an idiot. So now the ten seconds is gone. Now
- 31:40Speaker 2: it's awkward, so he has enough time to formulate, well,
- 31:43Speaker 2: someone's going to say something to me why I left?
- 31:45Speaker 2: Because it's too late now to leave, And someone's going
- 31:47Speaker 2: to say something immediately, So if someone says something, I'll
- 31:50Speaker 2: just flip it back on them. That's his quick thinking
- 31:53Speaker 2: to massage how to control people and to project by
- 31:58Speaker 2: saying like, oh, well then you're just gonna get mad
- 32:00Speaker 2: at me. So it's like, oh nice child.
- 32:03Speaker 1: It didn't work, no, But what was so fascinating is
- 32:08Speaker 1: that Kyle when he said go after her to make
- 32:13Speaker 1: sure she's okay, and then he did yea, And I
- 32:18Speaker 1: felt in that moment that is why this is all
- 32:21Speaker 1: like a shroom induced fever dream because her current husband,
- 32:27Speaker 1: because they haven't even started the process of divorce, they're
- 32:32Speaker 1: not even legally separated at this reunion. But what is
- 32:36Speaker 1: so crazy to me is on in the city. Well, okay,
- 32:42Speaker 1: hold on, before I go to that piece, let me
- 32:44Speaker 1: put a pin in that.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:46Speaker 1: West Wild goes to check in on Amanda, and he
- 32:51Speaker 1: literally it's like he went to the principal's office because
- 32:54Speaker 1: he was told to do it.
- 32:55Speaker 2: He came in he was just like perfect way to
- 32:57Speaker 2: say it, yeah.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Right where it's like, well, your husband told me I
- 33:02Speaker 1: need to come check on you, So how are you
- 33:05Speaker 1: like so lacking of care and concern? And then his
- 33:09Speaker 1: advice to Amanda again was if you have to cry
- 33:12Speaker 1: on stage? Yeah, cry on stage?
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Impression management wow, oh one wow.

- 37:09Speaker 1: But on in the City, Yeah, going back to that,
- 37:12Speaker 1: here's why this show is proving Amanda and West wrong.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Because on this episode of In the City, Sierra West
- 37:22Speaker 1: and Amanda meet together. They hold hands, they talk about
- 37:26Speaker 1: how they're the sweetest little trio of best friends, and
- 37:29Speaker 1: Amanda tells West and Sierra that she's moving out. Right,
- 37:34Speaker 1: West puts his arm. I took a picture of it
- 37:36Speaker 1: because it's so telling. He puts his arm on Amanda's shoulder,
- 37:40Speaker 1: and he says, Oh great, are you proud? Are you happy?
- 37:43Speaker 1: Like just really gave himself away. But what she's telling
- 37:49Speaker 1: Kyle is that she's moving out. She signed a year
- 37:54Speaker 1: lease without telling Kyle.
- 37:56Speaker 2: No, he doesn't tell Kyle anything, not about the statement
- 37:59Speaker 2: to Bravo, not about signing a year lease.
- 38:03Speaker 1: No, sir, secrets, secrets. Secrets are no fun. Secret Secrets
- 38:09Speaker 1: hurt someone. That is It's true though, and so I.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Think secrets are no fun. Secrets secrets hurts someone. Why
- 38:24Speaker 2: is it to end in men day?
- 38:27Speaker 1: I know I want to hear Lindsay say that. I
- 38:30Speaker 1: really do. But the point is she is on in
- 38:33Speaker 1: the city trying to tell Kyle, I'm moving out. I'm
- 38:37Speaker 1: signing a year lease, even though I told you we
- 38:39Speaker 1: were going to do month to month, but I promised
- 38:41Speaker 1: this is so we can stay together.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Right, We're not separating. No, we're not. This isn't a
- 38:46Speaker 2: separating I'm just gonna be like here for a year.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's like again that's where she's like peeing
- 38:53Speaker 1: on her leg and telling us it's raining. It's like, yeah,
- 38:56Speaker 1: if that's not a legal separation, I don't know what is,
- 39:00Speaker 1: but she can't have it. Always like she's claiming that
- 39:03Speaker 1: she did nothing wrong and there wasn't an emotional fare,
- 39:06Speaker 1: but it's like you're lying to everyone about everything, and
- 39:11Speaker 1: that is the problem. Yeah, there was a way where
- 39:14Speaker 1: she could have done this and come out probably with
- 39:18Speaker 1: like this archangel storyline or whatever, but she didn't have
- 39:23Speaker 1: the capability to do it because she does not know
- 39:26Speaker 1: how to communicate like her and Kyle. Do you remember
- 39:30Speaker 1: when he said that they used the show for communication.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well that didn't take a much convincing. I mean
- 39:40Speaker 2: that was pretty clear that they didn't talk for the
- 39:42Speaker 2: entire time or worked out anything or when they weren't
- 39:45Speaker 2: on the show, And then they would come on the
- 39:47Speaker 2: show and they're like, yeah, so did you want to
- 39:51Speaker 2: get into couples therapy? And I'm like, you fucking guys
- 39:54Speaker 2: have been talking about this for two summers. Yeah, someone's
- 39:57Speaker 2: got to pull the trigger here.
- 40:00Speaker 1: But that explains how it was happening because they weren't
- 40:02Speaker 1: doing any work talking outside of the show, and they
- 40:06Speaker 1: would save it for the show. And I just I
- 40:07Speaker 1: wanted to make an immediate meme that was like, if
- 40:10Speaker 1: I send you this, it means you need to go
- 40:13Speaker 1: to therapy immediately, because when Summer House is like your
- 40:16Speaker 1: form of therapy, well, no, wonder why this is crashing
- 40:20Speaker 1: and burning in such a spectacular manner, because when the
- 40:24Speaker 1: show was your thing, like that's insane.
- 40:26Speaker 2: It almos supposed to me that the show in itself
- 40:29Speaker 2: was the reason why they didn't get divorced sooner, one
- 40:33Speaker 2: hundred percent, Like now I know for sure. I mean,
- 40:36Speaker 2: not that, I guess I should have known that. But
- 40:38Speaker 2: once they have a summer, they're on that high. They've
- 40:42Speaker 2: done a job, they do all this press, you know,
- 40:44Speaker 2: that takes them well into the year of like finally
- 40:48Speaker 2: shooting it, coming down from that, then getting back up
- 40:51Speaker 2: to do the press for the like the premiere and everything.
- 40:53Speaker 2: So it's this cyclical thing to where there's not a
- 40:57Speaker 2: lot of time for them to bottom out for a
- 41:00Speaker 2: long actual span of time for them to really make
- 41:05Speaker 2: a big swift move out, which I think is why
- 41:10Speaker 2: Amanda just went, well, I'll just pop over here. Let
- 41:13Speaker 2: me mention this. It sounded like in this part too,
- 41:17Speaker 2: that one of the reasons why she, well, at least
- 41:20Speaker 2: she was saying, it's one of the reasons why she
- 41:23Speaker 2: was hesitant to tell Sierra what was going on was
- 41:25Speaker 2: she and West is because she was embarrassed that she
- 41:30Speaker 2: was seeing someone or had feelings for someone and kissed
- 41:34Speaker 2: someone that was seeing someone else, And that was the
- 41:37Speaker 2: thing that stopped her from really truly being honest with Sierra.
- 41:42Speaker 2: And when Sierra said, yeah, that is embarrassing, that's the
- 41:45Speaker 2: thing that put her over that she looks like.
- 41:48Speaker 1: You're exactly right, Yes, so exactly right.
- 41:51Speaker 2: So what I'm asking Amanda, is it is it that
- 41:54Speaker 2: you would have told Sierra if West wasn't dating anyone else?
- 41:58Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying, right, Because I think I
- 42:00Speaker 1: think the most telling part of those statements, because that's
- 42:03Speaker 1: the thing Amanda and West tell on themselves constantly, if
- 42:06Speaker 1: you know what to look for the fact that that's
- 42:09Speaker 1: why she was embarrassed to tell Sierra, not because of
- 42:12Speaker 1: Sierra's feelings or not because of how it would make
- 42:15Speaker 1: Sierra feel.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Right, right, that is focus was more on that. Yeah,
- 42:20Speaker 2: The focus was way was how am.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I going to be perceived? Which again is why she
- 42:26Speaker 1: and West are perfect for each other.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Can you explain to me that part last reunion when
- 42:33Speaker 2: Sierra said the thing about like, yeah, Amanda's perfect for
- 42:37Speaker 2: Wes because she's mute and West needs somebody where it's
- 42:41Speaker 2: going to spotlight on him the whole time, and she
- 42:44Speaker 2: looked up and like did this weird thing with her
- 42:48Speaker 2: tongue and was like holding back tears. But it just
- 42:52Speaker 2: was so odd to me because I don't know, like,
- 42:55Speaker 2: I don't like, why would you cry like that. I'm sorry,
- 42:59Speaker 2: I just want to stand it. It's little narcis Was
- 43:02Speaker 2: it a show showy thing? What was that?
- 43:04Speaker 1: No? No, because here's the thing. People who have narcissistist
- 43:07Speaker 1: traits and tendencies, which by the way, is all of us,
- 43:10Speaker 1: myself included. But people who have more the mischaracterization is
- 43:14Speaker 1: that they don't have feelings. They do. They just have
- 43:16Speaker 1: feelings about themselves over other people. So I believe Amanda
- 43:21Speaker 1: was hurt because Sierra was right. It was a harsh read,
- 43:26Speaker 1: but she was not wrong about exactly that Amanda is
- 43:33Speaker 1: the weak figure that West needs, which Darrow when she
- 43:37Speaker 1: came out, she said it in a very calm, eloquent,
- 43:42Speaker 1: really well spoken piece, which is that this is the
- 43:45Speaker 1: West Show. It is and always will be the West Show,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and he wants people to think that he's a good guy,
- 43:54Speaker 1: and then he treats the women who give themselves to
- 43:56Speaker 1: him as expendable. And I believe believe that when Sierra
- 44:02Speaker 1: said it, it hurt Amanda, and so she had that
- 44:05Speaker 1: physical reaction. But when Dara said it because it was
- 44:09Speaker 1: more reasonably said. I guarantee that that is what led
- 44:14Speaker 1: Amanda to, at the end of the day, say, they're
- 44:19Speaker 1: making me feel stupid for trusting you. Because when when
- 44:23Speaker 1: people are giving us truth but it's harsh, we get defensive.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Or yeah, brush, it's easy to let it settle.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Yeah. But when Dara said it, it was just literally
- 44:36Speaker 1: like it was out of care and concern. It was
- 44:39Speaker 1: really well said, really appropriately said. And I guarantee that
- 44:43Speaker 1: that is what led Amanda to wake up and be and.
- 44:46Speaker 2: She gave her an interesting thought, which was, I guess
- 44:51Speaker 2: the question for you is like how much of you
- 44:55Speaker 2: are you going to sacrifice for him? And it was
- 44:58Speaker 2: more of an empowering statement. I felt that the future
- 45:02Speaker 2: of Amanda's life is in her own hands. And now
- 45:06Speaker 2: we've told you, I've told you how he is. You
- 45:10Speaker 2: can take it or leave it, but really the choice
- 45:13Speaker 2: is up to you. And I did think that that
- 45:14Speaker 2: was a beautiful way of putting it.
- 45:16Speaker 1: How she approached it as a therapist and asked, someone
- 45:19Speaker 1: who has had to give people really tough feedback time
- 45:23Speaker 1: and time again, that is the way to do it
- 45:26Speaker 1: so that they will hear it and not make you
- 45:30Speaker 1: the villain or the issue. She literally that was like
- 45:34Speaker 1: therapist level communication and expression.
- 45:38Speaker 2: You don't say that on the Housewives.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Oh no, like no. And that's why I like Derera
- 45:43Speaker 1: because she you know, I know there's a lot of
- 45:46Speaker 1: stuff going on with her in kJ but she just
- 45:48Speaker 1: said it so well. There was one thing she said,
- 45:50Speaker 1: like West is looking for someone who will mold and
- 45:53Speaker 1: fold without excuse or complaint, and I was just like girl,
- 45:57Speaker 1: it was spot on, with scary precision. And I do
- 46:00Speaker 1: think that what will happen now is Amanda and West
- 46:05Speaker 1: are just left to their own devices without the kink
- 46:08Speaker 1: of the drama or the kink of the secrecy or
- 46:11Speaker 1: the hiding. And I'm going to be honest, I only
- 46:14Speaker 1: see two outcomes here. One is that they break up,
- 46:18Speaker 1: and two is that they stay together but are just
- 46:21Speaker 1: really unhappy. But that would be my guest because I
- 46:24Speaker 1: both care well, right, because I think they both care
- 46:28Speaker 1: more about how people perceive them than.
- 46:31Speaker 2: If fact that they would stay. They would stay just
- 46:34Speaker 2: to make a point, like we have to stay together
- 46:37Speaker 2: so that we don't look like we right.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so that we didn't blow up our lives for nothing,
- 46:44Speaker 1: And so that's my prediction that I think that they
- 46:46Speaker 1: will do think.
- 46:47Speaker 2: That's a great prediction. When Mia said, what makes you
- 46:51Speaker 2: think that he won't do this to you? And Lindsay says, yeah,
- 46:58Speaker 2: we want to know, like what is he? Like she's
- 47:00Speaker 2: trying to get all the answers Amanda was. They obviously
- 47:07Speaker 2: have a very good pact happening where she has agreed
- 47:11Speaker 2: to not divulge any information, mostly because I think that
- 47:16Speaker 2: West didn't commit to anything and doesn't want to say
- 47:19Speaker 2: that because she's too embarrassed about that, but says, we've
- 47:23Speaker 2: had private conversations and I don't want to share all
- 47:26Speaker 2: of that. But from those conversations, I can't remember what
- 47:30Speaker 2: she said exactly, but she made it sound like I
- 47:33Speaker 2: wouldn't be here and I wouldn't have taken this risk
- 47:36Speaker 2: had he not told me that he loves me, that
- 47:39Speaker 2: I am the one that he wants to be with me,
- 47:43Speaker 2: and he's in it to win it. And so that's
- 47:47Speaker 2: what she believes. And we know from like Mia from
- 47:51Speaker 2: the FaceTime, the other Mia, the horsehair ty Gal, the
- 47:55Speaker 2: one who was building his furniture in his apartment when
- 47:58Speaker 2: he was at Summerhouse, and like talk about a use
- 48:01Speaker 2: and lose situation there and he's telling her, I can't
- 48:05Speaker 2: say that you're my girlfriend because I'll get fired. This
- 48:09Speaker 2: was very eye opening, and I think we're going to
- 48:11Speaker 2: hear more about that, right because there's more receipts that
- 48:14Speaker 2: Mia gave to Kyle.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Well that's what I think we're going to see in
- 48:18Speaker 1: part three. Yeah, Is and it was, oh my god,
- 48:21Speaker 1: Amya swear it gave me chills. West and Amanda are
- 48:24Speaker 1: talking about West is like, well, I think the worst
- 48:27Speaker 1: is over, and then you cut to Kyle and see
- 48:30Speaker 1: her facetiming with Mia, his ex, and just getting all
- 48:34Speaker 1: the information, and I was like, this is cinematic gold.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Cinematic gold. And it also shows again that not only
- 48:40Speaker 1: does he not have a finger on the pulse of reality,
- 48:43Speaker 1: he just doesn't care and he just completely lacks awareness.
- 48:46Speaker 1: If you think that the worst of this is over,
- 48:48Speaker 1: but listening to Mia say that, essentially the timeline, because
- 48:53Speaker 1: I think this is really important to talk about. So
- 48:55Speaker 1: the timeline is essentially that Kyle and Amanda announce their
- 48:59Speaker 1: separation January nineteenth, twenty twenty six, and Amanda was pushing
- 49:03Speaker 1: for the announcement to be posted immediately and I clocked this,
- 49:07Speaker 1: she said, because she didn't want fans thinking they were
- 49:10Speaker 1: still together.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Impression management and going into the season knowing that they're together. Yep.
- 49:17Speaker 1: So then the other important piece of this timeline is
- 49:20Speaker 1: at the end when we find out that West and
- 49:22Speaker 1: Mia were moreno is her last name, were in a
- 49:26Speaker 1: committed relationship since February of twenty twenty five, and when
- 49:31Speaker 1: West went on Watch What Happens Live? Mia came that night.
- 49:35Speaker 1: West was still telling her that he loved her. He
- 49:38Speaker 1: was wearing her horse hair tie. This was on February
- 49:42Speaker 1: third of twenty twenty six. He broke up with her
- 49:46Speaker 1: the next day to be with Amanda. That's the timeline
- 49:52Speaker 1: of all of this.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Oh, I see, so a year later after they were together.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Yeah, he just literally if he met him on Watch
- 50:01Speaker 1: What Happens Live. They spend the night together, he says
- 50:03Speaker 1: I love you, he wears the horse hair tie, and
- 50:06Speaker 1: then the next day he's never talks to her again
- 50:11Speaker 1: or breaks up with her, never talks to her again,
- 50:13Speaker 1: and then is with Amanda. That is literally the insanity
- 50:16Speaker 1: of this situation.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Wow.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it just doesn't take a genius to figure out
- 50:23Speaker 1: that this stuff doesn't happen overnight, right, Amanda herself admitted
- 50:26Speaker 1: that they were having conversations. So if you're having conversations,
- 50:30Speaker 1: that's an emotional affair, like that's that's intent. Those are
- 50:34Speaker 1: conversations about, well, how do we do this? And to me,
- 50:39Speaker 1: it's just like it was planning and implementation, and it's
- 50:43Speaker 1: not saying that you didn't do anything wrong. In fact,
- 50:45Speaker 1: to me, it says the exact opposite. But one of
- 50:48Speaker 1: the other really interesting things that Mia said was that
- 50:52Speaker 1: he lied about like you said, he couldn't be in
- 50:54Speaker 1: a relationship with someone from the bravosphere. And again my
- 50:57Speaker 1: take on that is that he manipulated to Mia Moreno
- 51:01Speaker 1: into being his dirty little secret and he tried to
- 51:05Speaker 1: tell her, well, there's a lot of eyes on you
- 51:07Speaker 1: and blah blah blah, and so like it's just showing
- 51:11Speaker 1: his massive level of manipulative lacking of empathy, like pattern secret.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, And he's using her for her artistic abilities,
- 51:26Speaker 2: which is really a slap in the face Amanda or
- 51:28Speaker 2: Mia Mia, because she's obviously a designer. You know, I
- 51:34Speaker 2: don't know what she was doing with the furniture and
- 51:36Speaker 2: her his apartment, but the worst hair tie and whatever
- 51:39Speaker 2: it is that she does. I mean, it sounds like
- 51:41Speaker 2: she's incredibly talented and he's just using her for everything,
- 51:47Speaker 2: including her skills, which is really irritating, you know.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Sure, but that's what someone like West does. I mean
- 51:54Speaker 1: he West is like, you know, when these creatures sometimes
- 52:01Speaker 1: will attach themselves to other creatures to like his feed on.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Them, Yeah, away their energy and their sefe.
- 52:10Speaker 1: So what I'm trying to say is like, to me,
- 52:12Speaker 1: West feels like a parasite. West feels like someone who
- 52:17Speaker 1: attaches to somebody, sucks their blood, gets their life energy,
- 52:21Speaker 1: and then when he's done and he's full, he detaches
- 52:24Speaker 1: and then he moves on to somebody else.
- 52:26Speaker 2: So what is that called? What?
- 52:29Speaker 3: So?
- 52:30Speaker 2: What is that called?
- 52:31Speaker 1: Like?
- 52:31Speaker 2: What is his If we could kind of break down
- 52:33Speaker 2: and I know that you are not clinically diagnosing him
- 52:38Speaker 2: in the real world, this is just your opinion. But
- 52:41Speaker 2: what is it that West is, you know, having to
- 52:47Speaker 2: struggle with in his life? What are the issues here?
- 52:50Speaker 2: If you were to put pen to paper, which I
- 52:53Speaker 2: know you have thirty pages, if you want to be specific,
- 52:56Speaker 2: and then I'd like to know what amand does what specifically?
- 53:01Speaker 2: Even though I know we broke down a lot about
- 53:04Speaker 2: like why you know why and what. But if you
- 53:08Speaker 2: were to like put it in a box, check a.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Box, all right, So if I were to put it
- 53:13Speaker 1: in a box, West to me is someone who is
- 53:20Speaker 1: parasitic and predatory and his behaviors. Lindsay was right. He
- 53:25Speaker 1: is one of the best manipulators that I've seen. And
- 53:30Speaker 1: this is coming from someone who grew up with one
- 53:32Speaker 1: of the best manipulators as a parent and also worked
- 53:36Speaker 1: with it in practice for decades. He is good. And
- 53:40Speaker 1: so what that tells me is that he is practiced.
- 53:45Speaker 1: He doesn't have pesky empathy keeping in the way of
- 53:52Speaker 1: what he's doing, because the fact is that someone couldn't
- 53:56Speaker 1: do this to people over and over again if they
- 54:00Speaker 1: had empathy, they just couldn't. Wow they And and here's
- 54:06Speaker 1: the thing. If he did have empathy, he would be
- 54:10Speaker 1: sweating it at the reunion, like he would be having
- 54:14Speaker 1: some sort of emotional reaction, which he just is not.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm wondering, Like, if he's so good,
- 54:20Speaker 2: why didn't he fight harder at the reunion to defend
- 54:23Speaker 2: himself and to try to do.
- 54:26Speaker 1: He doesn't need to. And here's why West will leave
- 54:31Speaker 1: this and he will be just fine. He will be floating,
- 54:35Speaker 1: that's what it seems like. Yeah, he'll be floating in
- 54:38Speaker 1: a sea of vagina, because women sometimes don't. It's like,
- 54:42Speaker 1: you know, when serial killers go to prison and then
- 54:44Speaker 1: women are like obsessed with them.
- 54:46Speaker 2: But if he cares so much about his image and
- 54:49Speaker 2: what people think, why wouldn't he fight harder when people
- 54:51Speaker 2: are watching.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I think he thinks he is doing that. So what
- 54:55Speaker 1: I believe his tactic is essentially what I'm saying is
- 54:58Speaker 1: to offer hollow apologies that are very reasonable sounding, that
- 55:03Speaker 1: are used, proper tone of voice, proper content, But the
- 55:07Speaker 1: behavior tells me he doesn't really feel sorry. He's not
- 55:13Speaker 1: really accountable for anything. He's not really sorry. He's trying
- 55:18Speaker 1: to uphease everybody to get out of that reunion so
- 55:21Speaker 1: he can just do the same shit over and over.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Oh, I think, okay, And would you say that he's
- 55:28Speaker 2: a narcissist a legend?
- 55:30Speaker 1: So well again, I can't. I cannot say that, and
- 55:33Speaker 1: I won't, you know, say that, But what I will
- 55:36Speaker 1: say is that narcissistic traits and tendencies exist on a continuum,
- 55:42Speaker 1: and when it gets past a certain point, that's where
- 55:44Speaker 1: it turns into pathology, and the pathology of narcissism says
- 55:50Speaker 1: that all we are concerned with is our image. Our
- 55:54Speaker 1: self are like whatever, So what I'm seeing, Sure there's
- 56:01Speaker 1: narcissistic traits and tendencies. Where that lies, that would be
- 56:05Speaker 1: between him and his practitioner, which I guarantee he doesn't
- 56:09Speaker 1: see someone like someone like West. The reason he's not
- 56:12Speaker 1: going to get better is because he doesn't want to,
- 56:17Speaker 1: and it would take like when people have a lot
- 56:19Speaker 1: of narcissistic traits and tendencies, it takes an insane amount
- 56:25Speaker 1: of healing to work through that. But the most important
- 56:29Speaker 1: reason why people who have really narcissistic traits and tendencies
- 56:33Speaker 1: don't heal is there has to be an awareness. First
- 56:36Speaker 1: and foremost. We can't change patterns that we aren't aware of,
- 56:40Speaker 1: and that's a double edged sword. People who have a
- 56:42Speaker 1: lot of narcissism are incapable of looking inward and acknowledging
- 56:49Speaker 1: the reality of things in a way that they want
- 56:53Speaker 1: to fix.
- 56:54Speaker 2: If wow, okay, it does make sense. It totally makes sense,
- 56:58Speaker 2: Kyle with other women, I mean the tippies. Tippy Toe's
- 57:01Speaker 2: comment was hilarious and then also southern charm Sally that
- 57:07Speaker 2: he was with Sally from that was wild.
- 57:11Speaker 1: What do you think about Sally Amy, I don't know.
- 57:15Speaker 2: I don't have I don't have the bandwidth to put
- 57:18Speaker 2: her into my brain right now because I'm so focused
- 57:22Speaker 2: on it. But she, uh, she's gonna she wants it.
- 57:26Speaker 2: She wants it bad, and she wants the fame and
- 57:28Speaker 2: she wants she wants it all. So she's willing to
- 57:30Speaker 2: do whatever it takes to keep herself.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Her self relevant, which is on the show.
- 57:37Speaker 2: And relevant you'll go with anybody, you know, I mean,
- 57:40Speaker 2: that's in my opinion. Yeah, yeah, I don't what is yours?
- 57:44Speaker 1: The same?
- 57:45Speaker 2: That?
- 57:45Speaker 1: To me, when I heard Sally's name, I'm like, of course,
- 57:49Speaker 1: here's my point. Here's my point. Though West will always
- 57:52Speaker 1: have Salllye's, he will always have Sally's. Who will not
- 57:58Speaker 1: give a shit how he treats women or how he
- 58:02Speaker 1: treats people. They're so desperate for either relevance or to
- 58:07Speaker 1: see what all the fuss is about, which to me,
- 58:09Speaker 1: like if it's a sociological experiment to be like, is
- 58:13Speaker 1: this guy's dick made of gold?
- 58:14Speaker 2: Like?
- 58:14Speaker 1: What is happening here? That I would understand that but
- 58:18Speaker 1: I don't think that's the case with Sally. I think she's, yeah, she's.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Did you see what Lala Kent said about Kyle that
- 58:25Speaker 2: she heard a rumor that Kyle like really knows how
- 58:29Speaker 2: to work it in bed? Did she? She's selling for
- 58:34Speaker 2: her podcasts? It was so funny, and I thought, Kyle
- 58:38Speaker 2: is really having a great year. You know, his business
- 58:41Speaker 2: is up now he's being you know, lifted up by
- 58:46Speaker 2: Lalla the sex queen herself that she heard that he
- 58:49Speaker 2: can really that he's got some good moves in bed.
- 58:53Speaker 2: And so, which.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Here's the thing. Was it shocking to you because it
- 58:58Speaker 1: was not shocking to me when I talked about not
- 59:01Speaker 1: having their needs met, like meaning they were in a
- 59:04Speaker 1: marriage that was lacking sex, right, And when Andy asked
- 59:08Speaker 1: for how long, Kyle said forever, which is wild, and
- 59:12Speaker 1: Amanda said four years. So what I got from that
- 59:16Speaker 1: is that these two people have not had sex.
- 59:18Speaker 2: In four yeah years, well, which I was actually relieved
- 59:22Speaker 2: because I thought it was seven a couple.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Of weeks ago.
- 59:26Speaker 2: So I was like, Okay, well that's a little better.
- 59:28Speaker 2: But no, this is why I don't understand why they
- 59:30Speaker 2: even stayed together. And I think Kyle's point being like, yeah,
- 59:34Speaker 2: I probably was inappropriate because I wasn't. So he's justifying
- 59:41Speaker 2: why he's doing that. But I'm like, then why didn't
- 59:43Speaker 2: she just get divorced? Both of you, Like I don't.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Understand this, right, And that's where Kyle It's like, Okay,
- 59:49Speaker 1: we can feel sad for Kyle and all of that,
- 59:51Speaker 1: but he made his bed, Amanda made her bed. Both
- 59:55Speaker 1: in a very unhappy marriage. They were both playing a role.
- 59:58Speaker 1: But it's like that me of where like the Spider
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Man pointing at each other. It's like they're like that, right,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Like Kyle's pointing at her and she's pointing at him,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and it's like, it's both of you. Okay, it's both
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: of you here. And I think that that did annoy me,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: where like Kyle was trying to take accountability, but then
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I think he got defensive and feelings hurt, and then
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he was just trying you know, he was just doing
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: the same thing that Amanda was doing, which is again
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: it's like that's why he and Amanda worked for so long.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I guess, right.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: I mean, I know we need to probably wrap it up,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: but I do want to mention Ben it's sad because
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: that was really intense, and it makes so much more
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: sense why he is so terrible too in my opinion,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: women so far, and why he was really so controlling
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: and demeaning to Bailey and then Amanda. So he's got
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: a lot of issues there and a lot of shame,
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: and it's so sad. I can't imagine going through what
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: he went through with what his dad did. This just
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: and let's explain.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Yeah, let's explain for people who don't know. So what
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: you're talking about is that Ben grew up in a
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: very religious household that it sounds like his worth and
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: his value was based on you know, like he was
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: just acting like a kid, but his dad really took
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: away his love from Ben. And Ben revealed that his
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: father didn't hug him since he was nineteen years old,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: simply because I think he was concerned that he was
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: having premarital sex. Which it's like, that's abusive, right as
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: a parent, when you're using religion to emotionally neglect and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: abandon your child, Like that's abuse. Yeah, abuse using religion
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: as like a reason, but it's just absolute bullshit. And
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: so what Ben talked about is that Sabrina every morning
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: was like hugging his dad and then encouraging Ben to
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: come in closer and closer. Essentially that Sabrina had to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: act as a go between to get Ben's dad to
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: even physically touch him, which puts such perspective to what
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: you're saying, because my god, that is devastating.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so it was nice to hear and that the
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: end that the dad allowed them to stay in the
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: same room together, which is pretty shocking, and that they
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: have a relationship on some level. So I am interested
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: to hear more about that, interested to learn at.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Oh you know if we will because.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: You don't think so.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: No, because I think that this whole drama is taking
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: up so much that I think that was Ben's time.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: And remember when Bailey came out for and then I
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: don't even think she no le oh shoot, I'm so sorry. Yeah. Well,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: and that goes that that Levi has been like missing
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: an action because Levi came out for her part of
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: it and then did not say a word.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Yeah walk up, yeah a mana had her walk off
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: and then they were like, well, let's take a break,
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: thanks Levi.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I was just like Levi and when and all these
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: people are just getting the shaft but it's another example
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: of how West and Amanda don't care about how their
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: behaviors are impacting people. Right, this was imagine being on
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Summer House and this is like your season and you're
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: a blip in it because of all this other nonsense.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: You know, it's impacting people, is what I'm saying.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: I don't really care much about that, but I mean fair,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I mean fair, yeah, I mean, look, if there was
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: something interesting that Levi had to say, she had time
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: to do it, and there was nothing there, but look,
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: she was in there. She's just a background player this season,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: and what ends up happening is maybe next season or
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: the season after that if she's If she's back, then
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: you know we'll start cooking. But there's no room for
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: anyone else that says it. I don't want to hear
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: from anyone else unless it's something that is so poignant,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: like Kj's story, and like Ben's story. We had time
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: for that. I'm glad that they gave it a little time.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: And and Bailey reading Ben, I thought that was great.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: So I think we got enough out of out of everybody.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I think I think so. And so where we're leaving
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: off is that now? Part three it sounds like is
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: gonna just be mister Toad's wild ride because Amanda and
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: West are going to come out having no idea that
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: they've been talking with me his ex, and I have
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: a feeling stuff is going to go down it. Actually
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I have anxiety about it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: You know, while you're talking, I'm like, oh my god.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I know. I'm just like, oh my god. Cause it's like,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: that's what happens when you have a lot of empathy,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you care about situations that aren't yours to care about.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we care more than Wes does, that's for sure.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I wish I could give him some of my empathy
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: and then we could even out as people. But listen,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: that's you know, transplants are aren't a thing, so transplant
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: so amy. As we're wrapping up, was there anything else
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: about the reunion that stuck out to you that you
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: wanted to mention that we haven't gotten to?
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Oh god, I I feel good about what we covered today.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: The comedic relief just about like who's going to go
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: check on Amanda now? And like Kyle popping up and
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: popping down and being like thank God, yeah I know,
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: and he was going to go do it. Oh my gosh,
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: that did make me laugh. And then with Jesse, which
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: this is a piece that I never saw the unseen
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: footage when he's said, I after I date a girl
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: or go on a date with a girl, I write
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: a song and say the tour and he said, is
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: that cringe? And then Amanda was like yeah, and I
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: just thought that was so funny but so sweet. And
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: the fact that he is now going on tour and
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: he's really seems to be doing well, and Carl getting
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: wonderful accolades from Lindsay on the heels of him giving
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: her accolades that he's the man that she believes that
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: he's always wanted to be. That's pretty amazing.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I know it all had me in my feels, and
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I'm glad you brought up that part about Jesse, because again,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I feel like he's getting overshadowed. But when they showed
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: the video of him playing and singing, I'm like, oh,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: he's great, Yeah, he likes you know. What bums me out.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: And what I do want to mention is that when
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Jesse was getting emotional talking about his dreams coming true,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: like he went to school for music, right, he's always
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: wanted to do this and you can see that it's
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: such a serious thing to him. And people on the internet,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: you know how they love to just be trolls and
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: shit on p people, which it's like, please, can you
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: play the piano? Because I know I can't, so you know.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: But I think Jesse, I can tell he's like in
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: this emotional turmoil because it's like his life is about
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: to change, but he's so sad about what's going on.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: And then I think he feels judged. But I loved
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: how the guys came together to support one another, Like
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: aside from West because he doesn't out, He's like a
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: plant in the corner. But when when Carl was giving
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Jesse his flowers and Lindsay and Carl were giving each
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: other their flowers, I thought, this is why we're all upset,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: because these people really have love for each other. They
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: really have admiration, and we're.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: So much fun and fun and summer should be fun.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: And now what's gonna happen? Like we loved watching all
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: these knuckleheads hang out and just do goofy things. What
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: do you think is going to happen with the next
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: summer house.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Okay, so I've thought a lot about this and I've
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: seen a lot of the rumors, you know, like and
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I just don't trust it an internet rumor. I think
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: that truly it could go a million different ways. But
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I would be absolutely shocked if West came back. Now,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I could almost see Amanda coming back because I feel
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: what Kyle's feeling in some of the rest of this
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: group is feeling is that because of west predatory parasitic behaviors,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: that they view Amanda a little bit as a victim, right,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: They're like, I know this person, I feel like she's
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: a little bit of a victim. So I feel like
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: there's room for her to grow if she wants to.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: But is she gonna hitch her wagon to West and
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: just like go to the pits of hell? Or is
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: she going to try to get some agency and autonomy
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: over her life? Tbd? TBD, But I believe that I
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: think Sierra will come back if West does not come back.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I don't know that West has a place anymore in
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: this house because he has no friends there, right, so
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: it will be interesting to see. I hope there's not
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: like production or editorial decisions made that feel inauthentic, But
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I understand wanting to capture the lightning in a bottle
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: of what's happening. So I'll just be really interested to see.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: But what do you.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: Think, Well, now that there's in the City, I could
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: see Amanda and Kyle going back to in the City
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: and actually co existing together there, Sierra back on Summer House,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: all the guys back on Summer House. West. I don't
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: see how he could go back on Summerhouse, but Bravo
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: knows that he would be a ratings boost.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I mean, you know, didn't his show The Ozarks. Didn't
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: that get scrapped?
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: I don't know, see, I can't get him that.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I read that the project The Ozarks, which was going
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: to be like based on West and.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Like he was going to be the bridge, So it
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: was going to be the bridge to that.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Yes, and I think because of what's going on with
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: West n Yeah, they've scrapped that.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: That's what I've read. Now listen right now, I heard
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: that true. But they've got to do something for him.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: They have to. I just think that West is such
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: a liquid commodity for Bravo and reality television that they
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: have to put him somewhere. And maybe what they could
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: do is Summer House, where it's Sierra for like most
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: of the weekends, and then you know how they don't
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: have some cast members at the house on some of
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: the weekends, so then Sierra's not there on the weekends
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: that West comes, and I would see West coming maybe
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: two weekends tops, but you get a couple episodes out,
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: you know, several episodes out of that, So that is
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: what I think. My top guess is that they'll split
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Summerhouse so that West can make up with the guys
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: and and make it right. We get check ins and
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: then perhaps on in the City next year, West gets
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: some cameos over on in the city.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: As well well, right, because and that's the interesting point
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: you bring up about in the City, which I didn't
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: even think about, because if Amanda and West are going
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: to be together, then that is likely that maybe that's
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: the storyline for in the City, and then Summer Houses
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: is everyone else. So yeah, I mean TBD, Like I'm
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: just brimming with anticipation to find out what this is
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: going to look like.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're going to do something with him. They
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: have to because people want to see that, right, They
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: want to see me in they want to see the villain,
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: they want to see the villains they do.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Right, But you made a really interesting point that I
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: could see West. We could see West on House of
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Villains or something like that. Like I thought, he's going
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: to try to like Tony Stark this and make this
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: like his. He'll be like, oh, you want a villain,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I'll give you a villain.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I don't know. We're going to have to find out.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll find I don't know if yeah, maybe he'll
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: be like a sand of All with House of Villains.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: It would be interesting if they would pick him up
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: for Traders. Oh yeah, I mean he would. Wait, he'd
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: be great trade.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: West would excel at Traders, honey. And let me tell you,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: if Gust was on Traders, the girl would be watching.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: So so there you go.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: Wow, I love talking to you about this stuff. I
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: couldn't wait to talk to you about Summerhouse and can't wait,
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: you know, for next week.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I know, and Amy, I'm just so glad that we're
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: here to kind of break this all down. And when
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: I knew that we were going to cover part two
