job and a rig job, and that if he was Trump's attorney, he

sees it as absolutely this judge and this jury will convict Trump, and Trump

will be found guilty, and they'll lead him right to rikers and handcuffs.

And he believes Trump should leave before the verdict and just never set foot in

New York again, Is he right that if it's a state case, you

could just walk away and if they find you guilty, there's nothing they could

do about it. You could be president the United States or campaign in forty

nine other states and there's nothing they could do. Is that actually a realistic

thing, that option that he could pursue. No, at that point,

he would be a fugitive and he would be susceptible to arrest in another state

and then extradition back to New York. So I would not advise any client

to abscond from court on the eve of judgment like that. But look,

even if worst case scenario there is a conviction, based on the way sentencing

works in New York, you're likely looking at a sentence of probation. And

the only realistic impact of this case would be a talking point for the Biden

president's decision. The way a president decides to discharge his duties, and I

think the sole exception to that, and we've made this argument is in the

case of impeachment and conviction by the House and Senate as laid out in the

Constitution. That the Framers wanted a system where in some cases a president could

be held accountable but subject to the very very strong political check of that impeachment
