1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 - Children of Light
Verse 4 says: “But you, brethren, are notin darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” Notice againthe contrast. In verse 3 Paul spoke about “they” and “them.” Nowhe says: “But you, brethren.” Why is there a difference? Becausebelievers belong to Christ.
Paulsays in verse 5: “You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are notof the night nor of darkness.” Throughout Scripture, light and darkness arepictures of two completely different spiritual conditions.
