Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Hey guys, welcome back to Housewives Goss and Glitter.
- 0:02SPEAKER_03: We are switching it up while the Real Housewives of Rhode Island is on hiatus, filming their second season, which has officially started.
- 0:10SPEAKER_03: But today we are gonna recap season 20, episode one of The Real Housewives of Orange County, the ones that started it all, and we have Vicky returning for the first time in I think about seven years.
- 0:24SPEAKER_03: I haven't watched since the really early, early, early seasons.
- 0:28SPEAKER_03: So having Vicky and Tamara were like definitely a blast from the past.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: I am intrigued by this Vicky.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I've never watched Orange County.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Like I've been watching The Housewives since 2009, but I jumped right into New Jersey because I'm like an East Coast girl.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: So I've never like thought about watching Orange County, but this is hilarious.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: This is a completely different vibe, and I like love it already.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: It is the vibe is so different from Rhode Island, and like you mentioned, Rhode Island compared to Jersey.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: The ladies here obviously know like cameras around are around.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: Like we're not gonna get any Alicia-ism type things.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: Well we Vicki.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: We do have Vicky, but Vicki has always been a wild card.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: So, and we definitely got some, especially after a couple of her drinks.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: There were a couple of phrases that were used that I was like, like at the end of the episode, where Jen was like, I'm gonna shoot it straight at you, and she meant like shoot straight with you, straight shooting or something.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Like, don't try to use a phrase like that.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, shoot.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: No, she said she wants to shoot her straight.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Shoot her straight, yeah.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Please stop.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: You're like, that's not what you meant.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: Did you notice though that for this the beginning, they're all in blue holding their oranges, and it just reminded me of Rhode Island and the um reunion looks.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: You know what we do need to talk about quick though, since we are mentioning Rhode Island.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Do you actually think that Joe Allen is fired?
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: No.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: So I okay, I'm glad you brought that up because I was definitely looking up.
- 2:19SPEAKER_03: So she did like some very questionable posts.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: I saw that too.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: They're about they're focused on the ones that I saw were just not like trying to minimize it, but they were likes on Donald Trump Jr.'s account where he's posting memes, making jokes about like people who are um like gender fluid or trans, and he's basically just making a but a bunch of different things that are all along the same vein of like there's only two genders and she's liking them.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Those are the ones that I saw.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: There was another questionable one, I won't bring it up, but there was another, a little bit more questionable.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: But I went down and read like looked it up yesterday because I saw the rumors.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: So this is it's only from one site.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: It is from one site, it doesn't pop up on anything else, and they say, Will she get fired?
- 3:17SPEAKER_03: And at the if you read the entire article at the very bottom, it says this is a possibility where she could get fired, but she doesn't get fired for it.
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: Like it were, I don't think so, because it's just one site and one little rumor, and it doesn't even say that she did, it just said she could be.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: But we also have to look into all the other housewives franchises, they're not gonna fire her for that because there are so many other housewives that they don't they make great TV, but they don't exactly align with our views type of thing.
- 3:50SPEAKER_03: Like you've got ones from New York, you've got ones from I mean, obviously Teresa and Melissa are a hot mess themselves and they're coming back.
- 3:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: Um so and I know like same with the ladies of Orange County and Beverly Hills, they've all had questionable things and they haven't.
- 4:09SPEAKER_03: I mean, we haven't they're looking in the there's rumors someone who's going to drop to join Rhode Island and she's bet her husband was investigated for fraud and he set up like a Ponzi escape.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: So I think liking things on Instagram is not gonna like we didn't fire Teresa for going to jail for fraud.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: We kept Ernell on there.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: We didn't get rid of we're looking at this other woman from Rhode Island, and she everything is all about art fraud and a Ponzi scheme.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: So I think that there's more things that they could actually fire her for.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: I don't think it's gonna be questionable decisions on Instagram.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't think that that would be like a pretty big loss to the show to fire her.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Like, I think that firing her for that, I don't think she should be disciplined at all for that.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Now I don't agree with those posts at all, but I do think it's a slippery slope when we start like doing forensic analysis on everybody's like Instagram accounts and trying to locate things that are going to like upset people, you know.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Like I don't think it was egregious enough for anybody to get involved in.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: I think that if she says something ignorant online, she now has a public platform and a fan base, and she has to answer, she might have to answer to that publicly.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: You know, like everybody has different views.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't agree with those views, but everybody does have different views, and she might change her views over time or like continue to have them and explain herself.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: But I don't think we can just because we don't agree with them, I don't think we can sit there and be like, Well, you're not allowed to state your opinion.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: I agree because Jill from New York had some questionable social media things, and I think she was still asked back.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah and she had spoken things, not just like things.
- 6:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and she's also been asked to be on other reality TV shows outside of the real house five.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: So New York, like she was on Worse Cooks and she's appeared on like little silly things like that.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: So I think if you try and get into the politics or the backgrounds of everyone you see on reality TV, you're always gonna find something you're not gonna like.
- 6:34SPEAKER_03: I don't think I think Joelyn is too much of a cash cow for them to follow over some questionable fire over some questionable likes.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Moving on to questionable, yeah.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: We open with Vicky, who is the OG of Orange County and of the Housewives, right?
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: She's like the first housewife.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, yep.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: So interestingly, she's moved to Mexico with her boyfriend, and Shannon's visiting, and they're on the beach getting foot rubs, which I'm like cringing by this foot rub.
- 7:11SPEAKER_03: I did not know that was a thing, and that might make you cringe, but I was like, you know what?
- 7:15SPEAKER_03: If I saw them offering foot rubs, I might take them up on the offer.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: I'm cringing about them, like them and their feet and like asking for these foot rubs.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: It reminds me of those like chairs that they would have at the mall, like just in the middle of the hallway of the mall that you would like sit in and get a back rub in front of everybody.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: I'm like that's they still have those in the North Shore mall on the first floor by the Coke machines in the bathrooms.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: I just it's weird.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's just weird.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: Weird.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: I don't like it.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: I'm just it's just awkward and cringy.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: I hate that.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: And then like they get up from their chairs and fall, both fall down, like respectfully, like how old are these women that they that they can't make it down the beach with their beach bags?
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: Vicki has a bum knee.
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: So I think he fell.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: I know, I know, but like I feel so Vicky is 64.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: So Vicky is 64, Shannon, she is 62.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, I was on Cape at the beach all weekend, and like there were a lot of older people on the beach, and they all made it.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, and they toppled all over each other very dramatically.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: I was like, I just didn't think that was real.
- 8:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: I don't even understand how Vicky fell.
- 8:42SPEAKER_03: I saw Shannon go down and Shannon's holding all the stuff, and Vicki goes down, but I'm like, then you find out Vicki has the bum knee later on.
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: So it's like, okay, then I could kind of get a bum knee on the sand.
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: As Vicky even said, everything keeps happening to her.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: So, but yes.
- 8:57SPEAKER_03: So they are on the beach catching up because Vicky has come back after a couple year hiatus of not being on the show.
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: And I guess she accepted her orange on a stage at BravoCon to come back.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, so was she asked not to come back at some point and then they re-invited her?
- 9:19SPEAKER_03: I am not sure.
- 9:21SPEAKER_03: I haven't had a time, I haven't had time to do as much of a deep dive as I've wanted to into this season, and I also wanted to catch up a little bit.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: So I'm not sure if she just needed a break or if they asked her not to come back, but I feel like Vicky has always been part of the Housewives lore.
- 9:39SPEAKER_03: So to not have her.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: So I'm not sure.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: In the first anything else with that scene?
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: No, we really just hear about the dogs and then how Vicki is still constantly working.
- 9:52SPEAKER_03: And I had to google, I remember her working.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: Like they showed an office scene today of her working from like the first season, and I was and it came back to me.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: And I was like, I remember this.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: So she runs, she's co-founder and helped run an insurance life insurance agency.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, interesting.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: She's like a businesswoman, like a legit like an actual legit businesswoman.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, gotcha.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Then we are with Gina and Heather.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: And Gina is talking about how she's recently engaged to Travis, and she has like a custom designed yet lab grown ring.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Is this a placeholder ring?
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: She said the one that she has right now, because we get Heather's snarky comment about it being lab grown.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: Nothing wrong with lab grown.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: It's actually better.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, go on.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: I have an opinion about that.
- 10:51SPEAKER_03: Uh, but she does say that it was a prototype, so it is a fake as fuck ring, essentially.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: So it's a stand-in for the custom one being made?
- 11:03SPEAKER_03: Yes, because he wanted to make sure that she actually liked it before getting the legitimate one made.
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: So she is wearing the prototype for the actual ring.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So my only thing with the lab-grown stuff is I do feel like on a lot of reality shows we're seeing it being used as like a way to get a gigantic ass ring and pretend that it's real.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: And it kind of makes me cringe.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: I would rather see like a different stone.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just like, it's just to me, it's like I don't think that it's reasonable to expect like people to spend tens of thousands of dollars and six figures on an engagement ring.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Like, I think that that's absurd, but at the same time, I feel like I have seen a couple of times like this enormous ring on reality TV stars that like aren't loaded.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, that's a lap grown diamond, and the reason why you did that was to get as big of a ring as possible, and I just think it's so tacky.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: Like, I feel like a Morganite is so much prettier.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: I know they really just like to be super duper flashy.
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: That makes me bring in a question Liz's, but I have a feeling Liz's ring is real, but we'll never know because Liz is not coming back.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I I do think that's what I was like, uh, but and I I don't see the point of wearing the stand-in ring.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, you got a whole ass ring made just to make sure that she liked it.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Like, that's also a fucking waste.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: I think that part was a little weird.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: But why wouldn't you just show her the design with the jeweler?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Like, they can put it up on a screen.
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: I don't maybe he wanted it to be a surprise, but she also tends to be really picky.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know much about Gina at all because I think that's just my thought in general about the faux diamonds, but anyway.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: Um, yes, so they are there though to do silk scarves and decorate silk scarves, and it's Heather, Gina, and then um Tamara shows up.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: I hate these fucking types of activities.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why are we doing this?
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Like, no one's actually interested in this.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Like you're painting, no one like they're they painted these like pretty ugly scarves, and I'm like, why?
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, whose was it that actually looked like nipples?
- 13:34SPEAKER_03: Was it Gina's?
- 13:35SPEAKER_03: It was really bad.
- 13:37SPEAKER_03: Well I was like, I mean, okay, I would not do it or something like that.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: But I also went through a major scarf phase after working at Talbot's and I worn one every day for like seven years.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I want to go and buy a scarf that's been made in like a chic design, not one that I painted myself, and it looks terrible.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Like, sorry, and then you're probably paying up the ass for that experience.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: You need like one of those, but they need those little teeny things where they can get in an argument in private and not just keep doing it at a hotel.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: Like they they're uh they've been on for 20 seasons, they need to think of like new and creative things.
- 14:16SPEAKER_03: Scarf painting push.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: I get, I mean, I don't know.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: Heather said she saw it on TikTok.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, if you want me to hang out and you just want to have a chat, like let's get like a charcuterie board together and have a glass of persuasion.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Like, I do not want to scarf paint.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: I don't want to do like a pretend activity.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna also I also like to do an active activity, like just something that we to actually like, not like a made-up craft, you know.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know, but we found out some interesting things at this little teeny veggie board that they served at the scarf place.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, yeah.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: So everybody hate this is like the everybody hates Tamara episode.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: Yes, because Tamara, they did ask Tamara about what she did say on that podcast because she said that she did want to blow stuff up this season because she felt that everyone from last season wasn't actually her friends, and that no one backs her up.
- 15:18SPEAKER_03: And at one point they all got up from the couches at the reunion and left her sitting on the couch crying.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 15:25SPEAKER_03: Uh, and that Heather's actions don't match her words.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Tamra is mad about the reunion fight, and when they all got up from the couch, that was when they were doing their toast from Andy.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: And then Heather's like, Well, I invite they all went out to dinner after the reunion, and Heather claims she did invite Tamara out to the dinner, and Tamara's like, No, you didn't.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: So it's just like a she said, she said situation, but then the three of them sort of like make up.
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was weird, and they bring up something that happened on the ultimate girls trip.
- 16:01SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: So then Heather's like, Well, then let's talk about what happened during filming at Ultimate Girls Trip.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: So all I got out of that was that Tamara and Shannon were fighting.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Tamara tells Shannon that she's a mess, and that's why she doesn't have a man or a house.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: And Shannon responds by saying, Tamra's the drunk.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: I was like, Yes.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: I just like, so Shannon's the one that like, so that was a low blow, right?
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Because Shannon's the one that's in the$75,000 lawsuit over the facelift, and she doesn't, she's renting her house.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: That's like$10,500 a month.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: So Shannon's like in financial disarray.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: And it sounds like Tamara like went at her at all times.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: I guess there that's a theme of this season, and Vicky is trying to help her, but I deep dove into this a little bit because I want to find out more about this Shannon nonsense.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: Because during the episode, they do tell you that she does pay$10,500 a month to rent her house.
- 17:04SPEAKER_03: And she did get a$75,000 facelift that her ex-boyfriend is saying is a loan, and that's why he's take suing her.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: And she offered him part of the money, but he turned it down because he didn't want to do anything with the stipulations that she had in the lawsuit or wanted after the lawsuit.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: And she is also previously divorced, and she got a couple million dollars, and the divorce is like a lump sum, and then she gets$10,000 a month in child support, and it doesn't end until 2029, but somehow she's still financially a man.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, wow.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: So dollars in drama episode dropping soon on that.
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: Yes, we need to deep dive on that.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Um, that's like, uh, I'll get into it, but that's like you cannot tamp down on your fucking lifestyle inflation.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: And so the most absurd part of this conversation was Heather was like, that fight was so embarrassing.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And after you guys got up and left from the table, all the other wives were like, I've never seen anything like this before.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, you have like Teresa Judece on Ultimate Girls Trip and like other housewives that are like her, and they're sitting there saying they've never witnessed a fight like that before.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Like, are you kidding me?
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: No, I need there's just so many housewives things and so many other shows that I need to catch up on, but I feel like I need to watch that episode just to have more background.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just find that comment to be ridiculous.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Like the things that's ridiculous.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: They've never seen anything like that before.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Like, all these other franchises are absurd.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: We have seen way worse fights in plenty of other housewives.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: I just, I mean, I didn't watch that, but I just like Tamara rolled her eyes so hard when Heather said that, and I was like, I have to side with Tamara on this one.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: That is a ridiculous statement for sure.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Yes, okay, yeah.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: So basically, like Heather and Gina and everybody else are essentially talking about Tamara, like she's like a ticking time bomb and has like seven personalities.
- 19:13SPEAKER_03: Yes, and they also apparently make videos about it.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: I guess that was another thing that Shannon did was she posted nasty videos about Tamara, but then Tamara goes around and posts nasty ones too.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: And Tamara has that podcast, two T's in a pod.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: So I wonder if she talks about her show.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: That podcast seems to be like her and Teddy Mellencamp like recapping other Bravo shows, but I wonder if she ever we should subscribe to that podcast.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Because I actually like Tamara on that podcast, and all the clips that I've seen of her on that podcast, she seems very level-headed to me, but I've never watched her on Orange County, so I have no idea.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: I remember her being a lot from when I used to watch a zillion years ago.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: I like her leopard confessional look with the pink.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: I really liked her jumped on the Pamela Anderson bun.
- 20:12SPEAKER_03: I like her confessional, and I wrote down that I really like Gina's red one.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: I don't like who has the brown suit and the confessional because I don't like that.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Is that also Gina?
- 20:26SPEAKER_03: I think so.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: I think they're very similar.
- 20:29SPEAKER_03: Because it's not definitely not Vicky and it's not Shannon, and Heather has that sparkly dress.
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: That I don't like.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: Looks like a prom dress.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: Yes, she has that sparkly dress.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: Back at the ranch in Mexico, Vicki is wearing a knee brace, limping through the streets, and telling Shannon that she can tell she has an extra padded bra on, and it's like a little much for her boobs.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because her boobs are too high.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like Vicky's like calling her out.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: She's like, Shannon, do you have an extra padded bra on?
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: And Shannon's like, Yes, I do.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: And she's like, it's a little much.
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: I'm like, it's wearing a non-shaped black dress.
- 21:12SPEAKER_03: How can you even tell?
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: I don't.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: I was just like, that was really uncalled for.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: It was.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: It yeah.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: It was like out of like nowhere.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: That whole scene, they're at the bar, and apparently, like Vicky dances on the bar, and people are trying to find her there all the time, and then a donkey walks through the bar.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: I just her life right now is just surreal.
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: I was like, what is going on?
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: And she lives with her boyfriend Mike.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: This is a new boyfriend who's alive.
- 21:48unknown: Yeah.
- 21:50SPEAKER_03: So it was a very quick scene.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: We meet Mike uh and there's the donkey.
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: She talks about and dollys, and then we go to Palmia and we meet.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Emily and Jen, and they are there for dinner.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, and so apparently they're like ex-adversaries in earlier seasons.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: That is my take too.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: So the so Jen's son was pulled over for going 105 miles an hour, and she says that that's just not who he is.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, he sounds like a rich asshole kid.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: His name is Grayson.
- 22:31SPEAKER_03: Oof, oof, oof.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Like, just eye roll.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: It's play though because that is like what's going on in her life.
- 22:40SPEAKER_03: She's like, oh my kids are all really well.
- 22:41SPEAKER_03: Grayson doesn't normally do stuff like this.
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: He got caught.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: And then we find out all about Emily and her kids having like actual issues.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, uh what issues?
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: I think I was taking notes and I only caught the part of how she was saying that they got like a laser of his head.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: And I was like, what?
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: I should have I should have like rewound, but I didn't, and I like feel bad about that if it's something like that.
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: So they needed they did it to okay, so apparently her son has RFID, which actually Charlotte has RFID as well, and it's avoidant restrictive food intake disorder.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:24SPEAKER_03: So what the hell does that mean?
- 23:26SPEAKER_03: It means like you really struggle with eating, like texture-wise, and it actually involves like having to see a therapist and a dietitian, and it's kind of crazy because the people can't get what they need to eat, and they like can't even it's like all like they're just completely blocked.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: So he is that, and I guess he has a pandas diagnosis, which I have to look uh pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with strep infections, which can cause brain swelling.
- 24:01SPEAKER_03: Uh and he's been navigating other conditions like OCD, ADHD, and dyslexia.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: Uh, but I guess the panda's diagnosis came after a severe case of strep throat, which led to a dramatic and sudden regression in his behavior and speech, and that's how they found out that his brain was swelling.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: My god.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: So he is like actual things.
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: He's like, My son got a speeding ticket.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for going 105, which is like such a douchey thing to do.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: How do you not realize that you're going 105?
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: Why are you going 105?
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Because he probably has a way too nice of a car for his age and not paying for it himself, and he was probably driving like an asshole.
- 24:40SPEAKER_03: Probably.
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: Like trying to pull like a Vin Diesel Paul Walker, but you do that and you're gonna wrap yourself around a tree.
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: Certainly doesn't look anything like Vin Diesel.
- 24:53SPEAKER_03: He's probably too young to even know what I'm talking about.
- 24:56SPEAKER_03: The movie's 25th anniversary is in August.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: So then we go back to the ranch in Mexico, and Shannon and Vicki are now discussing the Shannon Tamara fight.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, Shannon says the last she heard from Tamra is that she, meaning Tamara, likes who she is and doesn't need therapy.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: And Vicky's like, why does she like sushi?
- 25:26SPEAKER_03: I was like, she was like, no, likes who she is.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: And I was like, oh dear lord, it was all the drinks, all the drinks in the donkey bar.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then she's like, Well, I see both sides of this fight because I'm an empath.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why does everybody think that they're a fucking empath?
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: First of all, being an empath does not mean that like you can see both sides of an argument, it means that you like absorb other people's like energies and vibrations and feelings, and you like take those on yourself internally.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: I'm just like watching Vicky, and I'm like, I really highly doubt that you are an empath.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: The new buzzword, it is the new buzzword, but I'm like, you just explained that as if it just means that like you can see her point of view, and I'm like, no, you're just like a person.
- 26:17SPEAKER_03: No, like both sides, it means that you're like a functioning.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: I'm like a 64-year-old woman, so like hopefully you're able to see both sides of an argument, and then she's just like, but it's funny because the only reason why she's saying that is because she's like, Well, Tamara's been reaching out to me lately, saying she's so excited to see me.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: Like, she's just like doesn't care about Shannon's like feelings at all.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: She's just like, Oh, well, Tamara's like happy to hang out with me soon.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: So she's just like, Oh, I haven't seen Tamara in like a year and a half or something, or I went through a year and a half like hiatus of talking to her, and they decide to put everything in the past where it belongs.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: Because I think right now they're the they've been the two that have been on the longest.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Tamara said they've known each other for like 20 years, which is like crazy that the show is on season 20.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: I was like mind-blowed by that.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so then they do show a clip of like some of their online battles, I guess, and like they show a truly horrifying clip of Tamara.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Like, she must have been post-facelift.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Like, what was that?
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: Post facelift?
- 27:21SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: I was like, is it micro-need?
- 27:24SPEAKER_03: I have no idea.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Like a monster.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: I've done microneedling, and you don't look like that after.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Like, that was she looks like a monster.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: I was like, what is this procedure that you just got and why would you film yourself?
- 27:38SPEAKER_03: Is it one of those ones that like burns the skin off your face?
- 27:42SPEAKER_03: It was so scary.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: That's what it looked like.
- 27:45SPEAKER_03: Like there's funny later.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: It's like yeah, it was not good.
- 27:51SPEAKER_03: Uh, but yeah.
- 27:53SPEAKER_03: So then they go to uh Tamara's house, and she's helping her daughter pack for her first apartment, just trying to like get rid of things.
- 28:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:04SPEAKER_03: Tamara's daughter, Sophia, didn't actually want to go away to LA.
- 28:08SPEAKER_03: She wanted to stay more local, but they said if you stay local, we'll get you an apartment.
- 28:12SPEAKER_03: That must be really nice.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: She's like, I just said that I'd put her up in an apartment, and I was like, Cool.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Must be very nice.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: Move along.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Um and then Emily's like talking about her daughter, Annabelle, and how Annabelle scares her.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: And then they show Annabelle and she's like painting a picture.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: And Emily's like, You got pink paint on your sweatshirt.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: You're so insane.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, wow.
- 28:37SPEAKER_03: She they well, they called her a frail child.
- 28:39SPEAKER_03: And I was like, she just had a lot of energy for a little kid, and now she's a 13-year-old teenager who doesn't know how to do her laundry, which means if she doesn't know how to do her laundry, she's 13.
- 28:49SPEAKER_03: That's on you.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Just show her.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: We go to Jen's house and we meet.
- 28:58SPEAKER_03: Well, we hear about most of our kids.
- 29:00SPEAKER_03: I guess three of them are at the house, and Grayson is the only one still in the house at the moment, and his feeding ticket for that$105 uh 105-mile joy ride is$700.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which I would think so.
- 29:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: He's an idiot.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Also, he looks like a hedgehog or like a porcupine.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Like that hair is horrible.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: That's terrible.
- 29:32SPEAKER_03: There's a guy on Big Brother this season that has hair really similar, and I I can't.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: It's so bad.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: It's so bad.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: Like, it's like, like, remember in like the 90s and early 2000s, that look of like the spiked hair all over.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: It's like a brushed out version of that, and it just looks terrible.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Like, I prefer the other version.
- 29:59SPEAKER_03: It has to take a lot of blow drying.
- 30:01SPEAKER_03: It has to.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: There's no way.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: It doesn't look good with his face.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: It just doesn't look good.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: He needs to change that.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I hope he sees that this season and makes a different choice about the hair.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Um and about his driving.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: He has his game somebody doing that.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: And then we go to Shannon's and she's like yelling at her two dogs, Archie and Trey, because she wants them to participate in a photo shoot.
- 30:29SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: And she was like, they're like that, they don't get along.
- 30:32SPEAKER_03: Like she thinks that what Troy scares Archie or Archie scares Troy whatever it is, and they just don't listen because they're two big, derpy looking retrievers.
- 30:47SPEAKER_03: Like, what are these names?
- 30:49SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 30:51SPEAKER_03: And I this drives me nuts.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: I hate when people bring their pets into places that have food.
- 30:57SPEAKER_03: Why are her dogs in the candy store?
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I just think like it's mean because they want to like, like, if you bring your dog to a restaurant, they're just like sitting under the table and they don't have like anything with them, and everybody's just eating while they get nothing.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, that's kind of I would just wouldn't do that.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: I mean, my dog would never let me eat in peace, but like I just wouldn't do that to them.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: There are places in San Diego that had like doggy food menus, like they would always bring you water for the dog, but you could order your dog like a puppuccino, or like they had stuff specifically for dogs.
- 31:34SPEAKER_03: But going to a candy store to call your daughter, and then bringing your dogs in the candy store was just kind of a bold move.
- 31:43SPEAKER_03: And I like how she justifies her$10,000 rent because she can walk around.
- 31:47SPEAKER_03: The house is big?
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: No, like then walk around the neighborhood.
- 31:51SPEAKER_03: Like the neighborhood was really walkable, and there was always people around.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I lived in a very walkable neighborhood, and I paid a lot less than$10,000.
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, she's living there by herself, right?
- 32:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because all of her kids are out of the house.
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: One of her daughters in school in Paris.
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: And then, or her, yeah, her daughter is in school in Paris and wants to stay there after she graduates.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this is silly.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: This is like, this is what I'm talking about with lifestyle inflation.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: It's like you get yourself to the point where you think you need these things that in actuality are just absurd, but you keep like upping your overhead to match the money that you make, which she obviously had a lot more when she was married, and now that she's managing her own money, she probably has like no idea how to budget.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: And it's like you have to downsize and get rid of all this overhead that you and it's like you shouldn't even look at it as limiting, like you don't need that.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: It's all just like a big burden.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: It's like, why?
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: Why do you need that for you?
- 32:53SPEAKER_03: Live in the same neighborhood, but downsize your house.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: It's like look at what Erica, like Erica Jane, she did that.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: She got a small, she's like when she she was living in like a fucking mega mansion when she was married to Tom Girardi.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: And now with her legal case going on, she has downsized like in a huge like her house is small on Beverly Hills.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: And it's like, I just don't, I mean, I'm sure it's like a lot of money, but it's still is just like absurd to me what people think that they need is just like a singular human being.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: Like, if I was living alone, I would never have more.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: And I was in like an expensive city like that, like LA or New York, I would not get more than a two-bedroom.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're just living by yourself, like why do you need all that space?
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: You have to maintain all of that.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 33:46SPEAKER_03: Clean it, like clean it, take care of it.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: Like, you don't need that much room anyway.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: It just doesn't make any sense to me at all.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: So no.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Anyway, God, then we're this part with Vicky and her brother.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: So then we're back at Vicky's.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna keep calling that the that's the ranch.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: The home base is Mexico.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: So she's making her bed, and her brother, I was so confused because when her brother Billy walked in and they had this conversation about the massage parlor, I thought she was talking to her boyfriend.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh my god.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: So like it's not her boyfriend, it's her brother Billy, and he walks in and she starts like accosting him about being out at a at a dirty massage parlor, in her words, at one in the morning.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: And I was like, ew.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: How does she know where he was again?
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's what my question was, because she said she saw him there, and I'm like, Where were you?
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: Walking home from the donkey bar, blimping, yeah, limping home.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: She's like, Wow, okay.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: So yeah, and then she said she's worried that her son's gonna follow in his footsteps.
- 34:59SPEAKER_03: I didn't realize her son was 40.
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, but still, she was like, I don't want him to fall into his footsteps and be a 40, like a bachelor until like the end of 10.
- 35:10SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, it's fine, but we also find out that she's stuck in Mexico waiting on her permanent resident card because her temporary one has ended, and she stayed there long enough.
- 35:23SPEAKER_03: So she's currently stuck in Mexico until it arrives and she's trying to make it to Heather's Valentine's Day party.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I'd like to leave the country for a Valentine's Day party.
- 35:35SPEAKER_03: No, no, like I guess I would just be like, it's fine.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Taking a picture of us filming.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: Love.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, that's a good one.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: That seemed extreme to me.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know they're filming, but I'm like, a Valentine's Day party?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: It's not like it's like Christmas.
- 35:53SPEAKER_03: I know, but I guess because she's just coming back, it's kind of important to kind of get back on the show.
- 35:59SPEAKER_03: But as we saw with Rula, it doesn't really matter how many, how much airtime you get if you can bring in the drama.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, she's pretty funny, I have to say.
- 36:09SPEAKER_03: And then we go to Gina's house and her mom is was staying there for something.
- 36:17SPEAKER_03: I don't really know why her mom was staying there, but her mom is getting ready to leave.
- 36:21SPEAKER_03: But they're talking about the proposal, and the big drama is that she doesn't know if she actually wants to change her name because then she'll have a different last name than her kid.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: I just hate how this is like still such a big decision for people.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, we should just stop changing her fucking names.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: It's so it makes it so complicated for everything.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Like the whole the name of the name change process is obnoxious.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: Educating people on the name change and just all aspects of your life is obnoxious, and then 50% of the country gets divorced, and you have to like either keep the name or go back to your old name.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: So you gotta go through it all over again, and then if you remarry, you have to go through it all over again.
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: Like I've actually changed my name twice.
- 37:04SPEAKER_03: So my mom had her first husband's last name when I was born, she wasn't married to my dad, but she wanted to have the same last name as she wanted me to have her same last name, so I ended up with her ex-husband's name.
- 37:20SPEAKER_03: Because she hadn't changed her name back to her maiden name.
- 37:24SPEAKER_03: Okay, so I didn't become Zoe John Joe until the first grade.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: That's weird.
- 37:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so then I finally got my dad's last name.
- 37:34SPEAKER_03: Davis.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so weird.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: I never knew that.
- 37:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, it doesn't happen very often.
- 37:41SPEAKER_03: You don't really get your name changed when you're in first grade.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: So yeah, so because she hadn't changed her name back yet to McGuire.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: So she wanted me to have the same last name.
- 37:55SPEAKER_03: So that I did that.
- 37:56SPEAKER_03: But then her and my dad were like, I guess we should probably change her name to your last name.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: So now we're getting married.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: So then they changed my name.
- 38:04SPEAKER_03: And then I did change my last name for Barry, but it has taken me almost 10 years to finally change her.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: She married your dad after the Vegas, the Davis guy?
- 38:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:14SPEAKER_03: My dad was her second husband.
- 38:16SPEAKER_03: You already both so she had gotten divorced and kept her name Davis after the divorce, and then she met my dad and she had me.
- 38:25SPEAKER_03: So then she had me, but she wanted me to have the same name, so I got Davis instead of John Dro.
- 38:31SPEAKER_03: And then when they when her and my dad were like, I guess we'll make it official by the time I was in first grade and Aaron was already born, then I got changed to John Dro.
- 38:39SPEAKER_03: So then me and Aaron would have the same last name.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: For a second, I thought you were saying that for a second, I didn't catch the part that she was divorced from that guy.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Oh, so she got pregnant with you with your dad while she was still married to this Davis person, and I was like, Oh, that's like really interesting.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: No, they were divorced, and then she met my dad.
- 39:02SPEAKER_03: Yup, gotcha, yeah, so changing her name is a giant pain in the ass.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: It's a giant pain in the ass.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: And it's like we already have like enough names out there, and like you can follow your family tree enough.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, why do we even have to go through this process?
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: It's stupid.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: And then the hyphenation thing is fucking stupid too.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: Like Kerschneider Mullen.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: And then it's like with hyphenation, it's like, where does it end?
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: What is it?
- 39:26SPEAKER_03: I know a couple who made up their own last name.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: That's what I always say to John.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, maybe we could just make up our own last name together, but I'm just like, I just don't see the big argument.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, for her and for people that have kids, I get wanting to have the same last name as your kids.
- 39:43SPEAKER_03: Um that makes sense.
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: So she, I mean, technically, I feel like she should keep it so she manages her kids.
- 39:49SPEAKER_03: If it's like, because it's not a huge deal.
- 39:51SPEAKER_03: Like, I did change it to Fornberry, but like I said, it's taking me 10 years to finally change everything over.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: It's not, it doesn't like the fact that John and I don't have the same last name legally, like, makes no difference to our lives like at all.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I can still do things and just say that my last name is Bosmer, and like nobody knows the difference unless it's something that like requires me to like like if I'm like getting on like an airplane, like I have to show an ID, and I'm like, who cares about that's the only time it ever comes up because I well, I go by Zoe Fornberry for everything, but my passport is still John Drew, so I just have to make sure that I book my airfare correctly.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Like it's just I just think it's stupid, I just think it's dumb.
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: Unless you have to use my passport, change it.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: But I think it's like if you want to and you like the name and you like really want to have the same name and it's important to you, I get it.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: But if you don't want to and you're just doing it to like people, please, I just say no.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it doesn't not necessary at all.
- 40:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I did it.
- 40:59SPEAKER_03: I mean, it didn't, I was like, whatever, it's fine.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: I just remember in one of my roles with GE, like out in Kansas, there was one woman who had already changed her name because she got she'd been working there for like a really long time.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: So like she had changed her name once when she got married, and then like many years later, like she got a divorce, and then it's like her the whole building was always like, Oh, like Shannon, what happened?
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: Um, oh, like what happened?
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: It just kept like asking her, like about the name change because you can see in the email, like you have to go through the whole process, like you change it in your like Outlook email, and just like you end up doing that at work because then you change your name back and you change your name in the payroll system, and then it just like up has like a downstream impact.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: Like, if your systems talk to each other, it has a downstream impact of how your name shows up everywhere.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: So then it's like everybody knows that you just like got a divorce, and it's like not that you should be embarrassed by that, but it's like this is just so unnecessary.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: Like, nobody needs to know that if you don't have to like keep going back and forth with your name change.
- 42:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know when I changed it at JW, it was like a pain in the butt.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: And then we had to like update all the things, and then people are like, we can't find you, and I'm like, Well, yeah, they're like, but you've been married, and I was like, Yeah, it just took me four years.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just trying to be dumb and useless, honestly.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: Then we go see Heather, who is speaking with her mom, and I guess her mom just moved to California to be closer to her after living in New York with her dad, and her dad got sick, and she just thought it would be better for her mom to be closer.
- 42:39SPEAKER_03: But I felt like Heather was trying to stir the pot completely unnecessarily on picking on her mom for choosing to live her life in New York City.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: This whole scene was like a Heather takedown of her mother.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: Like it was like one thing after the other that she was like hardcore like confronting her about like all in one scene.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: She's just like, episode one, let's talk about all of our issues.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wow.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Like that was a lot.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: I've never realized if they had any type of weird relationship.
- 43:12SPEAKER_03: Because I think by the time Heather joined, I what I mean, I wasn't watching as often.
- 43:17SPEAKER_03: And then I really only know her because I watched bot I've watched every season of Botched more than once, but yeah, she was like, Do you think you missed out on the kids live?
- 43:26SPEAKER_03: And her mom's like, Well, normally people fly their kids out more than once, like once at least once a year, and you never did.
- 43:32SPEAKER_03: So I came out all the time, and she was like, My mom just cares about her travels.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she said that like she felt that her parents should have moved to the West Coast to like help with the kids and be involved more.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: And her mom's like, Your dad had a career in New York.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Yeah, but he retired when the twins were born.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: And she was like, We flew out all the time.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: And Heather didn't deny that she flew out all the time.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: And I'm just thinking, like, if they're f they sent their accents sound like they're from New York.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, if you're the one that moved out to the West Coast, I think that's a little unfair.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Like, but she's like, most mothers would be here, like helping with things and driving them around and stuff.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I know that like when Christy and I were little and my parents were married, like we moved down to the Cape, and like my grandparents like followed us and also moved down to the Cape.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: But at the time, that they were more like at the time, not how everything turned out.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Like it was kind of like more traditional, and they did do that.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: That's also an hour.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: That's not like Boston to the Cape is not the same as a cross-country move.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: Like, if you move across country, I'm like, that's a little.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know the history, so like I don't know too much about it.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: But I was like, if you're the one that moved across the country, I feel like that's a really high expectation to expect your parents to follow you.
- 44:54SPEAKER_03: I just later I did move across the country, and we didn't expect anyone to follow us, and it was impossible to get people to visit us anyway.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: I don't have kids, but at the same time, we had to realistically be like, we're gonna be the ones flying back and forth.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: No, I know, but I think Heather's whole argument is that like her mom should have moved out west to like help her with the with the child rearing.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: That's what I heard.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: She was like, I take the kids and drive them and like do things with them, and I'm like, Yeah, but that's like a really big ask.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: And I mean, her parents are clearly really wealthy, so I feel like her dad must have had a pretty big career in New York.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:31SPEAKER_03: Like my mom moved down to the Cape from Maine, and that's where she met my dad.
- 45:36SPEAKER_03: And my dad had moved from Connecticut to Massachusetts, and moved to the Cape, and they met there, and then they had kids, and both families lived on like opposite ends of like Massachusetts, right in the middle.
- 45:50SPEAKER_03: It's four hours here, four hours there.
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: And then my dad's parents' mom at one point in time, she moved to Indiana, and my parents were like, We don't, we're not expecting anyone to move, we're not moving, we're content here.
- 46:04SPEAKER_03: I and I mean that's a four-hour drive.
- 46:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 46:06SPEAKER_03: Like we did the commuting because they were the ones that wanted to move away.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think my whole childhood was driving to Maine or driving Indiana or driving in Connecticut.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: I think that visits like should go both ways, but it does sound like the parents visited out on the West Coast and they didn't do the annual Hamptons trip, like her mom was saying.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: And her mom also said that like even Adam Sandler came to the Hamptons in a camper, and Heather's like, okay, that literally has nothing to do with what we're talking about.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: Her mom is like a little vacant, and I I don't know if she's like superficial or what the story is, but like she practiced a line before they started filming the scene.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: Heather was like, Oh, how do you like how are you feeling about your move?
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: And she was just like, God created Los Angeles, but he lives in New York.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Oh my god.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: Like she specifically practiced that for that scene.
- 47:14SPEAKER_03: I guess we'll see how it develops.
- 47:16SPEAKER_03: I guess this is also part of the plot for this season as well, is kind of navigating her mom being so close.
- 47:23unknown: Right.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: But then, so like they and they conclude, they sort of conclude the part about like her not moving out to the West Coast earlier.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: But then Heather starts attacking her about their dad's ashes.
- 47:36SPEAKER_03: And I was like, oh my god, she's like, You lost a third of his ashes, and I'm like, okay, that is kind of bad, but like how I in the I I guarantee you there's somewhere in how she said every she shoved everything into a room, and if you open it up, there'll be like Pandora's box or something.
- 47:53SPEAKER_03: So I'm sure the ashes are in there, and she probably just hasn't unpacked them yet.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: She didn't seem that upset, like the mom.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: And she does, she does seem a little like she's like not super emotional or like sentimental, I guess.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, that's how it does.
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: It'll be interesting to see how it goes.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: Um, her mom looks like amazing for 84 years old.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: Like Shannon should have gotten her facelift at whatever Dr.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: Heather's mother has because she looks like 30 years younger than that.
- 48:34SPEAKER_03: Like she looks amazing.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: But Heather looks, I mean, I don't know how old Heather is, and she is married to Terry, but she looks really great.
- 48:43SPEAKER_03: They might, I feel like they also have really good jeans, and when you're when you have that amount of money for so long, you can afford the best type of skincare.
- 48:51SPEAKER_03: Definitely.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: No, they both I was gonna say they're both really, really, really pretty, and they both have like a similar face.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, no, she looks really great.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: All right, now we get to everybody's getting ready for the Galantine's party.
- 49:04SPEAKER_03: Yes, I didn't I wrote this down, but I don't understand how we arrived here.
- 49:09SPEAKER_03: I wrote Tamara just said, if you don't like me, whatever, like it's oh sad to change.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: She's like getting her glam together for the party, and she's like planning to not fly off the handle.
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 49:23SPEAKER_03: So whatever, if they don't like her, then time to change, she'll go away.
- 49:28SPEAKER_03: Which she did do really well at the end and not fly off the handle when we get to the end of this.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: She didn't fly off the handle at all.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's a tough position to be in because it does seem like every single person has an issue with her for whatever reason.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: Um, except for Vicky has had an issue with her, but she doesn't have an issue with her now.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, that's tough.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: That's a tough spot to be in, which is like making me feel like we have to go back and watch it.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: But it's like 20 seasons.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, eventually I will, but like I don't have time to catch up on 20 seasons, and I did want to just be fresh for this season.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: I wanted to like go into it without any like bias and just watch.
- 50:11SPEAKER_03: Yes, I agree.
- 50:12SPEAKER_03: I went in, hadn't done anything.
- 50:14SPEAKER_03: I asked for a couple of spoilers on TikTok.
- 50:16SPEAKER_03: I got like nothing.
- 50:18SPEAKER_03: So yeah, yeah.
- 50:19SPEAKER_03: Heather's party looks like a blast.
- 50:21SPEAKER_00: I love how she has a moon bounce that's awesome.
- 50:25SPEAKER_03: Uh it had her name on it.
- 50:27SPEAKER_03: It was so fun, and you could fish for a diamond.
- 50:30SPEAKER_03: There was tattoos, there was an ice luge, and she apparently spent$75,000 on this party.
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: I just so my other thing though is like I think gal outings are fun.
- 50:44SPEAKER_00: I don't think a full-blown party that costs that much money is fun with just girls.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: I just don't.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: I think you need a mix of people.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: I think a$75,000 party for all women that are arguing with each other, like, hell no, I would not spend that.
- 51:01SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: Like, it just that just does not sound fun.
- 51:06SPEAKER_03: I mean, the party seemed like fun to me, and I feel like I could go to a party with just my girlfriends and have a great time, but I'm not the one that had to pay for it, so I would find a way to have a good time anyway.
- 51:18SPEAKER_03: If I paid$75,000 and have big enough space, I feel like I would have people, but like cookie night was limited to women because couldn't fit the men in my house, too.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just I think small groups are fine, but I just like a big party.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: I don't want to go to like a bank party with all women.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: That's just me.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, this is another thing that everybody says that that is starting to annoy me.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: So we're in the car with Jen and Carmela, and Carmela's gonna be a friend of maybe Carmela is officially a new cast member.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, I don't like Carmela already.
- 51:58SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I don't know if you're allowed to like her, but I hate okay, so like Jen's like, I like Carmela because she has a feisty side, and Carmela says that her, she's like, Yeah, well, that's because of where I'm from.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: Cleveland, Ohio.
- 52:13SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, your feisty side is from Ohio, like, please.
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: I just like every but this is another thing, like that that's like what everybody does, like how a bunch of people claim their MPAS.
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: Uh uh the same amount of people act like they're all like super tough because they're from whatever random ass city.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, when I think of like if someone said that and they're like, oh, well, I'm from New York, I'd be like, okay, but like you say that, and then she's like, Well, I'm from Cleveland, Ohio.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I don't exactly get like tough girl vibes from Cleveland, Ohio.
- 52:45SPEAKER_00: No, anybody, but that's a little like crazy.
- 52:49SPEAKER_03: Well, I feel like if she was gonna say anything about getting tough girl vibes, it need to be because A, she was a Playboy bunny and lived in a bunny house across the street from Hugh Hafner, or the fact that apparently she was in the WWE.
- 53:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but like okay, so like why wouldn't you say that?
- 53:05SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: Like, because that would, I'd be like, oh wow, but like she's pulling from Cleveland, Ohio.
- 53:15SPEAKER_00: I'm like, don't tell anybody that, like, there's more like it's just absurd.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: I just a lot of people say that.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't claim to be like all tough because I grew up on Cape Cod.
- 53:27SPEAKER_00: Like, like it's just ridiculous.
- 53:30SPEAKER_00: It's ridiculous.
- 53:31SPEAKER_00: Like, stop, you know, it is.
- 53:33SPEAKER_00: It's like a lot of people do this, and it really bothers me.
- 53:36SPEAKER_00: Like, every city can't be a tough city.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: No, like there's the hierarchy, and Cleveland is not on it.
- 53:44SPEAKER_00: Like, sorry.
- 53:45SPEAKER_03: Maybe like New York City, Jersey City, Detroit.
- 53:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like again, like if she had said Detroit, I sort of would have got it.
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: But I was like, Cleveland?
- 53:55SPEAKER_03: I just think of Cleveland, I think of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Drew Carey show.
- 54:01SPEAKER_00: I think I think like maybe we're missing something.
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe we're missing something.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: I just I don't know.
- 54:07SPEAKER_03: I just was like, We are someone please fill us in.
- 54:11SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: Um, anyway, yeah.
- 54:14SPEAKER_00: But anyway, her claim to fame is that she was a Playboy bunny, but she didn't live in the mansion, she lived in the bunny house.
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: So she wasn't like one of the girlfriends that like has sex with Hugh Fner.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: And I was like, thank god.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: I guess if I would want a role, it would be just one of the fun bunnies, not the not the girlfriend bunny.
- 54:36SPEAKER_00: No, I don't want to have sex with an old man like that.
- 54:38SPEAKER_00: No, um no, no, I'm I'm in grademid.
- 54:42SPEAKER_00: I want to have sex with an old man when I'm old, not when you're young.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I want it to be age appropriate.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 54:52SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: He was really old, like that whole time when that show was filming.
- 54:57SPEAKER_03: Was he ever actually young?
- 54:59SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: Like, it's not like he was like, oh, he's 40, and then girl, like it's like he was like a full-blown old man when that show was filming.
- 55:06SPEAKER_03: I was like a full-blown, nasty old man according to all of the girls' memoirs.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, none of them like enjoyed it.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: So I was like, you'd think he'd be I don't know.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: I don't even know what to think, but I'm just glad I guess it would be fun to like live in the bunny house and go to the parties.
- 55:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: Maybe I don't know.
- 55:27SPEAKER_00: I guess it depends on what the requirements are, but anyway, the only other thing that sort of made me uncomfortable is like everybody is commenting on Emily's weight.
- 55:35SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 55:35SPEAKER_03: I guess she's lost a lot of weight though.
- 55:38SPEAKER_03: Like she went to dinner and she ordered a bowl of chicken.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: So, like, was she like really overweight in past seasons?
- 55:47SPEAKER_03: I don't think she didn't look super overweight in the clips that they showed.
- 55:51SPEAKER_03: No, I mean she looked big, like, you know what I mean?
- 55:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, she looks bigger than she does now.
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: And like, I do think it's great that she's because she looks super toned too.
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: Like her arms and her and Jen's arms were like kind of jacked.
- 56:07SPEAKER_00: Um so like I did notice that that they were all like, oh my god, you're so skinny.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: And I was like, this is making me kind of uncomfortable that like everybody keeps telling her how skinny she is, and she like ordered a bowl of chicken at a restaurant.
- 56:18SPEAKER_03: But maybe they were just like they hadn't seen her in a while.
- 56:20SPEAKER_03: And I mean, I guess I'd kind of like the compliment if I'd lost a lot of weight.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: It just I was wondering because the clips that I saw of her, she didn't I mean, she was obviously big, like bigger than she is, but I wasn't like, oh, this is like so drastic.
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: But like she just looks like a person.
- 56:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 56:41SPEAKER_00: Then we okay, so then we get a prelude to like one of the most ridiculous fights I've ever seen on the show.
- 56:48SPEAKER_00: So Heather is awaiting Vicky's arrival, and she's like offended because she says that Vicky says that Heather inherited all of her money.
- 57:00SPEAKER_03: So like when I wasn't even say it in that clip, she said they in some of the money that they have inherited.
- 57:07SPEAKER_03: She didn't say that's where they got all their money.
- 57:10SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 57:10SPEAKER_03: She just said and money they have inherited.
- 57:13SPEAKER_00: And she said I'm proud of them for doing X, Y, and Z and some of the money they've inherited, but she also said like something about their careers and stuff.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: Like it was like a list of things.
- 57:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she did make a comment though that she doesn't think that Terry that she doesn't understand where they get their money because Terry's just a doctor.
- 57:35SPEAKER_03: I want to be like, he's been doing botched for how many years?
- 57:40SPEAKER_03: And they're one of like the premier, and he's the owner of the practice with Dr.
- 57:45SPEAKER_03: Nassif.
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 57:47SPEAKER_03: So they have that practice.
- 57:51SPEAKER_03: They've been doing it for years, plus they get the money from botched.
- 57:55SPEAKER_03: Plus, Heather's been on Real Housewives of Orange County for a really long time.
- 58:00SPEAKER_03: She's probably pulling in close to a million dollars a season.
- 58:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:04SPEAKER_03: I mean So I mean they're not hurting for money.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:07SPEAKER_03: They could afford the party.
- 58:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then, but also Vicky gives like a huge range of what she thinks their house is worth, too, which is like, I don't think you are, I didn't like rely on that amount as like, oh yeah, doctors wouldn't be living there, because I was like, you went from like a 40 million dollar house to a 20 million dollar house.
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: Like, it's like a pretty big difference.
- 58:31SPEAKER_00: She was like, Oh, well, doctors can't afford to live in a$40 million house.
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: Doctors can't afford to live in a$20 million house.
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, but do they?
- 58:38SPEAKER_00: Or are you just like throwing out these wildly huge numbers?
- 58:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I feel like what she says after everything is what Heather should be more mad about, not the random clip on the podcast.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I didn't think that the clip was that bad.
- 58:55SPEAKER_00: I thought that some of the stuff that she said during like her confessional about the fight was kind of like weird.
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: She's like, I know a lot of doctors and they can't afford.
- 59:04SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, but maybe they live in like a five million dollar house.
- 59:07SPEAKER_00: Like it just made me think that she like didn't have that amount correct.
- 59:11SPEAKER_03: And I'm I feel like they've also owned their house for a really, really long time.
- 59:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 59:18SPEAKER_03: Like I think I just read that Heather joined Real Housewives in Orange County on season seven, and that so now she's been on for 13 seasons, and Bosch has been around for at least 13 seasons.
- 59:32SPEAKER_03: So, I mean, and he's obviously been a doctor for a while, like their kids are all grown, right?
- 59:37SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 59:39SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 59:41SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 59:42SPEAKER_03: But anyway, then um Shannon and Tamara are walking around trying to avoid each other, and it's so awkward looking.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: It's looking awkward for sure.
- 59:52SPEAKER_00: Also, Heather's son is the master of ceremonies for the party, which I was like, okay.
- 59:59SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like he was kind of like watching everybody, and like I was like thinking that he seemed like he was like hat checking out all the ladies.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, Do you think if he had the opportunity to hook up with one of them?
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_00: He would, because I swear to do.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_03: Probably.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_03: I mean, why not?
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_03: But uh, he was just walking around with his espresso martini, and then she was like, You need to get me a mic, and we need to do this, and I'm like, he needs to do like this, but but maybe he did like a baby showy introduction, and we just didn't see it.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_03: Because I feel like that's why you want him there.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_03: Be like, and this is the balance house, and this is where you fish for diamonds, and this is where you get your tattoo, right?
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_03: Because I was like, What is he doing?
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because he wasn't really doing anything besides like when they arrived.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_03: So I'm thinking that there must have been something that they edited out, but I also have to say I really enjoyed all the ladies' dresses, especially Tamras, and I really liked Heathers as well.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: I liked whoever had the heart rhinestone cut out on their dress.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_00: I think that was Jen.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was Jen, I think.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_03: And then I Shannon just gets dressed in a parking lot.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Vicky's in like a pink sparkly dress, and she was also a mess when she arrived.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: First of all, when she arrived, I'm pretty sure she was drunk, and she also was bleeding out of her armpit because she just got a cyst removed the day before.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_00: I'm like, this woman is an absolute nightmare.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_03: I didn't understand what was going on.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_03: I think she was drunk.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_00: I think she was drunk when she arrived.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_00: Like, what is happening?
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_03: Probably.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_03: I feel like that tracks.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, I get another annoying fucking vibe from Carmela during this scene, too.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: So, like, Vicky arrives, and Carmella and Jen go up to her to say hi.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_00: And Carmela's like, oh, I feel like I have to um like bow to the queen.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_00: And um, and Jen's like, yeah, we all kind of have to like something about how they all have to like pay homage to Vicky, but they were saying it to her, and then Vicki plays along and she was like, Yes, Queen Victoria.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_00: And then in her confessional, Carmela's like, sorry, but I'm not gonna kiss anybody's ring, and starts like acting all tough about it.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, You're the one that said that to her.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_00: You walked right over to her and said that you felt like you know, Vicky should be wearing a crown or something.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Why did like she didn't say that to you on her own?
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: You started that conversation, and then she's just I just hate when people do that.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_00: It's like you acted like you were fine with it, and also you brought the topic up.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_00: She played back with you, and then you just like laughed, and then in your confessional, you're like, Oh, sorry, I'm not gonna kiss anybody's ring, and she's like acting all clear is that Cleveland tough?
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: Just say what you really need to say in your confessional.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: It was so weird, and then I feel like that's gonna be her thing this season is like going after Vicky, and I'm like kind of annoyed by it.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she seems like that's what she wants.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_03: She wants to like dethr we'll go with the royalty theme, dethrone Vicky from whatever and become like Queen B and hopefully end up with like the first seat next to Andy at the reunion.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_03: But I don't like her, she's rubbing me the wrong way.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_03: Already the wrong way.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_00: I yeah, that's like just a stupid that's stupid.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_00: That was dumb, and it was annoying to me.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, I already don't like you.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_03: And then Shannon though tries to call like have a conversation about being from the same place, and she completely like shrugged Shannon off.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was looking awkward.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_03: I was like, what is happening here?
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_03: I'm like, do you want to be friends with the ladies or not?
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_03: You don't need to start fights before you even got in it because Jen doesn't have an issue with Shannon, right?
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_03: No, no, it's just like Tamara and Right.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_00: I didn't get it.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_00: She I feel like she's coming in like trying to have this like certain vibe instead of just naturally like letting things happen.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_00: Like it feels like she's like trying to secure her spot in like the first episode.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_00: She's coming in a little too hot in a really lame way though.
- 1:04:19unknown: Yeah.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_00: Like I'm like, okay.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_00: And I just I also like don't want her whole identity to be like I was a Playboy bunny.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_00: Like, I think that the wrestling thing is a lot more interesting.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_03: I know, and we haven't even heard about that yet.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_00: Anyway, um, okay, the other part that I didn't get is when Heather went up to make her announcement about how like some of some of the women there are like really old friends, but she doesn't want to say old, and then Tamra said historical.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_00: Like the other ladies like had a big problem with that, and I was like, I don't get the joke.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_03: I don't either.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_03: Are we m are we missing something?
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_03: We might be missing something.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_00: Probably missing something.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_00: Um, because we didn't watch the show.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I didn't get that, and I also was like, why are there jello shots at this party?
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_00: This is like a really nice party, and jello shots are disgusting.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_03: It was her idea.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_03: She said, Let's do jell jello shots.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_03: Oh, I did one in Vegas last month, not a fan.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_03: Not a fan.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_03: Jell O itself is gross.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_00: So it is.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_00: I just remember like I didn't think it was gross as a kid, but like now as an adult, I think it's gross.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_00: But I just remember like in the 90s, like opening up the fridge and they're just like a big bowl of like jello in there.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, dude, now I think back on it and I'm like, why?
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_03: Uh who is doing that?
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_03: It's so weird.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_03: The texture's funny.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_03: I don't it's like the grossest, like if you think about it, it's just like Wasn't when you mix like jello and whipped cream, like ambrosia or something.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_03: I don't know what that is, but that's more fun.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: Me right now, okay.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_00: So then we get okay, so also Jen, I'm sort of out on right now because she keeps bringing up that she wants like everybody to know that Heather also has a problem with Tamara, and she wants like Heather to like confront Tamra because they're all saying that at this dinner that happened after the reunion, Heather was like leading the charge and talking about Tamara, but Heather also claims to be Tamara's friend, and everybody's kind of like, yeah, that's sort of like two-faced, but like Jen is really like, I want Heather to like confront Tamra and be honest about how she feels.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, maybe like mind her business.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_03: It's weird though, because Heather went and spoke to Tamara and they had it out at the scarf thing.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, they didn't like have it out aggressively, but like they talked, and it's also like like Jen, like you don't know what private, like some people prefer to resolve things one-on-one, and Jen is like pushing for this like public, like, shaming of Tamara by Heather specifically, and then it's like Jen has this big problem with Tamara too, and like so do the other ladies, like they all are kind of on like the one side, and then when like so what happens, so yeah, so then Heather comes over when Gina and Jen are talking about this, like between themselves, and then they instead of Jen saying that she feels this way, she totally throws Shannon under the bus, and she's like, Heather, we were just talking about how Shannon really wants you to be honest about how you feel about Tamara.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Shannon's not even here right now talking about this.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_00: Like, poor Shannon, and Heather's like, Oh my god, like I don't understand why she feels this way.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I did talk to Tamra, and I'm like, Jen, you totally just like threw Shannon right under the bus when you were the one saying that.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: Like, that was so shady.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_03: It was so shady, and I don't understand.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_03: Like, I felt like she was just trying to make it drama, like have some drama at this party because maybe it didn't have enough drama for her or something.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like she was like pushing this like super hard and like just like did not own it at all, which was like crazy.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_00: And then Heather says that she is Tamara's friend, that they've known each other for a really long time, but she sort of like compartmentalizes their friendship and like can put Tamara in a box, which I don't really know like what that means exactly.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_00: But she does say that she has communicated with Tamara on her own, and then she's in her unbothered era and walks away, which like I'm gonna start using that phrase every time somebody annoys me at work.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna be like, sorry, I'm in my unbothered era and I'm gonna get going.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I don't understand what her end goal was for that, really, to see what happened.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_00: Well, she was trying to stir the pot, but it didn't work, so then she tries to stir the pot again.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_02: And Tamara is walking around, and Jen brings it up to Tamara in front of Heather, and Heather's like, I know what that's and then she's like, you know what?
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_02: I have to just go.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so like exactly.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_00: So like Heather didn't really take the bait, right?
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_00: Because she like walked away and was like, I'm unbothered.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_00: So then Jen goes up to Tamra, or like, so then like Tamara finds them, and Jen goes, Oh, Tamara, I just like wanted to let you know that Heather said she puts your relationship in a box and like she compartmentalizes your friendship.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_00: So it's like, so you just tried to show throw Shannon under the bus and that didn't work.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_00: So now you're throwing Heather under the bus to Tamara, and Tamara's like, Oh, well, I really appreciate you telling me that.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: That's really upsetting.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, wow, you're just throwing all your friends just right under the bus over a problem that you have, like, you're the one this topic.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_03: She quote wants everyone to be honest with each other this season, but let's be real, this is the housewives, no one is honest with anyone ever at all, ever.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_03: Well, neither is she though, like she didn't know.
- 1:10:27SPEAKER_00: This stirrup exactly, and she's not the one saying that she has the big problem with Heather not being honest, she's pushing it onto Shannon, and it's like, no, you're the one that keeps saying that Heather needs to be honest, not Shannon.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's so stupid.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_00: It was ridiculous.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_00: I was like, wow, so that was like really annoying.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_00: So I'm like kind of like out on Jen.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_00: Then we see Tamara stirring the pot, and this whole time I've sort of been like on Tamara's side a little bit, but then we see her stirring the pot over with Vicky about something else, and I was like, that was kind of shitty.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but Vicki and Tamra had just made up a little before Vicki's comeback or whatever.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_00: Well, so no, like Tamara is like sitting over at a table with Vicky, and she says that she was just out with Gina and Heather, and she's like, Oh, Gina and Heather kept telling me they don't understand why I'm friends with you because we've had all these fights in the past, and I'm like, You just made up with them.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_00: Why would you tell why would you say that to Vicki?
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: And so Vicky like immediately calls Heather over to confront her, but before she can confront Heather, Heather like confronts her about something else.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and then they're going back and forth, and then they both end totally fine.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_03: That was and I was left there being like, are they okay?
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_03: I don't understand what just happened.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_00: The whole time they were fighting, they were also kind of laughing, and I was so confused.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_00: Like, I was like, Are they joking right now?
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_00: Because like Heather's like laughing, and then Vicki's like, but she's laughing, but she's like, How would we have an inheritance if our mothers are still alive?
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_00: And Vicki's like, Don't yell at me.
- 1:12:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then you're like, I'm really confused because then Vic Vicki's like, I told her, I showed her, and you're like, Yeah, they said they lit each other up, and I was like, that was so weird, and then they ended it by giving each other a kiss on the cheek, but then as Heather's walking away, she calls her a bitch, and I'm like, This was the strangest fight I've ever seen.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_03: It was a bunch of really weird little fights.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_03: I don't understand.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_03: I guess you'll see how it pieces together, especially being so out of the loop.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_00: It was weird, it was just, I was like, okay, and then like, yeah, at the end of it, uh Tamra's like, well, she really lit you up, and Vicky's like, I lit her up, and I'm like, again, nobody did that.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_00: Let anyone up.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_00: No, like you.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_00: Well, it's funny because when you watch like a Rhode Island and how intense their fights are, and then you watch a fight like that, you're like, This is just weirdly, like, are they playing or are they actually fighting?
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_00: Like, I was so confused.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_03: I was very confused, and then it basically ends with like camera exiting, and then they're like, Okay, anyway, next episode, next week, stay tuned for this.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_03: And you're like, I feel like I just left I lost something.
- 1:13:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was weird.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_00: It was weird, like it because the show has been on for 20 seasons and they are so like overly aware of the cameras.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_00: I do sort of wonder about things like certain scenes being like staged or refilmed with them.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_03: Part of me wonders if that's why they really brought Vicky back, and then you have Tamara who's known to be a loose canon.
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_03: So I guess we'll really see what happens.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_03: You know what I found interesting though was when they did the beginning, Vicky is back to being in the middle, and she hasn't even been around.
- 1:14:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, she's definitely like very entertaining, and she is like the original housewife, so I think it is a really big deal that she's back.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_00: I'm glad we're recapping this.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, same.
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_03: But I was just like, oh, that's wicked.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_03: I just thought it was very interesting.
- 1:14:14SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh wait, they put her right back there on everything.
- 1:14:19SPEAKER_00: I when they first showed her like opening scene and like the year was like 2006, I was like, I really like can't wait to just like watch these for fun because I want to see like filming in 2006.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_03: I but I'm telling you, they played that one one of the clips, and I was just like right back there, like in my living room at my mom's house, and was like, oh my god.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_00: So funny, like they show the camera work, and it looks like it was like filmed in like the 80s.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_03: Well, that's happens when you go really far back on like even some of Jersey as like a little thing, or like if you watch like really old Project Runway, because that also started in 2006.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_03: So I don't know.
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_03: I'm definitely looking forward to it, and I'm very entertained.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_03: So, but yeah, anyway, that wraps up that episode.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_03: Ashley and I are gonna be covering this season so we can keep up, and we'll also be dropping nuggets and tippets about obviously Rhode Island.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_03: We're still waiting on confirmation from the two supposedly two newcomers for their the upcoming season.
- 1:15:28SPEAKER_03: So if you have any details, we want to know.
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_03: But until next time, you guys, bye.
