- 0:00I'm on vacation. I ever had a vacation ruined? You know, you
- 0:03get so excited for these things. You're planning for months, and it's almost
- 0:05like the planning and excitement before is better than the trip itself. But then
- 0:09you know, some people have them totally ruined. Like this woman who this
- 0:12is always back in twenty sixteen. She's been holding onto this one for a
- 0:16while, okay, because she went on a Carnival cruise ship and her trip
- 0:19was ruined by an illness that broke out on the ship. Over three hundred
- 0:25people contracted this illness, and she says she specifically got it very very bad,
- 0:31digestively got some bubble guts going on. Huh bad, so bad that
- 0:35at one point she couldn't make it to the bathroom. Oh no, And
- 0:38there was an accident in her room. Okay, gross, So she requested
- 0:43from Carnival that she get a new room. Did she destroy it? There
- 0:47was obviously enough to damage get How do you ask for a new room?
- 0:51I mean, what's the limit for you? Like? How much is okay?
- 0:55Okay? Feel like it's like, okay that that was a bad situation.
- 0:58We're gonna like throw it away and if that's me, I'm not telling
- 1:00anybody. First of all, of course, I'm gonna take care of myself.
- 1:03Well, she demanded a free room and they didn't give her one.
- 1:07So now years later she is suing Carnival for a full refund along with damages.
- 1:14Feels a little delayed, lady, But I want to know, have
- 1:15you ever had a vacation ruined? Seven nine eight seven? How did you
- 1:19have a vacation ruined? Two years ago, actually to the date, A
- 1:23bunch of us went to Nashville, had a great time. We had so
- 1:27much fun, and one of my girlfriends decided to tell me that you should
- 1:30take charcoal because it's supposed to help with a hangover. Would you take charcoal?
- 1:34They have charcoal tablets. I'm like, what, some random thing?
- 1:38Do not do it? So anyway, I remember we got back late.
- 1:42We were flying out the next morning, and so I took a charcoal tablet
- 1:47because I'm like, oh, this is gonna help, maybe I won't be
- 1:51hung over the next day, and did the exact opposite. I was hurling
- 1:56my brains out for four or five hours. Don't think I was going to
- 2:00be able to get on the plane. It basically like pumped your stomach.
- 2:01What it was awful. You think it was the charcoal or the sheer amount
- 2:05of alcohol it was. It was definitely charcoal. Yeah, nothing to do
- 2:07with the combo did not work. No, of course it was horrifying.
- 2:12There's no solution for a hangover. If you had drank a bunch, You're
- 2:16not gonna feel good. There's just no way around it. Right, Okay,
- 2:21that's that's no fun. No, it was brutal. I'll tell you
- 2:23about the vacation I had ruined by the way, if you have a story,
- 2:25seven one two ninety eight seven. But we went all the way to
- 2:28Las Vegas because this was like probably five years ago blink win eighty two.
- 2:31If you didn't know, favorite band in the world, Border, you know,
- 2:34just obsessed. Aren't you heading back there in October to see him?
- 2:37Correct? Yeah, that's why I'm a little nervous because the last time we
- 2:38tried to go to Vegas, they were doing a residency at the Rito I
- 2:42believe. And we get there and we're literally at dinner. I think we're
- 2:45eating at the Margaritaville of course, right getting ready to go to the show,
- 2:49and I'm scrolling Facebook because I can't sit at dinner, you know,
- 2:51without being on my phone. Yeah, and I see your post from Blink
- 2:54Win eighty two. The show's canceled. The show that we had flown all
- 2:59the way across the country. Stop it. You saw it on Facebook before
- 3:01they even alerted people that had tickets. It was an official alert from the
- 3:06band, an official statement that Travis Barker, the drummer, had blood clots
- 3:09in his arms and he wouldn't be able to perform. Now I'm like,
- 3:13Okay, obviously concerned for this man's health, but also devastated. Now that's
- 3:17said, I means to be stuck. I know, But I mean,
- 3:22if that's the reason you're going somewhere, that would just be so upsetting.
- 3:25And speaking of that, are they going to be able to go on with
- 3:28that show? Because I think Courtney and Travis are about to have a baby.
- 3:30Yeah, he's not gonna be there for that baby. I don't care.
- 3:34No, you're just making sure he's in Vegas. Those are my orders.
- 3:37He will be in Vegas. And then and then proceeded. They had
- 3:38a show booked in Morehead and Bluestem, which is crazy, but anyway,
- 3:43they end up canceling that too. So I'm just like on the streak of
- 3:46canceled Blink when eighty two shows maybe you're the problem. Yeah, I believe
- 3:50they're intimidated by your band. They're like, oh, we can't these guys
- 3:53can't watch or no in the morning, Big Nutty eight points seven all right.
- 4:00One of the great urban legends of our time, the lochness Monster Nessy.
- 4:06Remind me, this is the like dinosaur underwater. Basically, it looks
- 4:11like Stegasaurus. It looks like a long neck, looks like a big dinosaur
- 4:15who lives in Scotland in a lake. Now, the first photo of NeSSI
- 4:18appeared in nineteen thirty three. Some say maybe been a hoax, and over
- 4:26the years there's been a number of sightings allegedly. And now over the weekend,
- 4:30two hundred volunteers gathered together to go on a hunt for NeSSI. All
- 4:34right, two hundred people imagination jump in like at scuba gear and they were
- 4:39going down. I mean, what is Oh. They had all sorts of
- 4:42equipment. They were planning on recording. They had drones for underwater drones,
- 4:46they had in the air drones, they had audio recording equipment. Now what
- 4:49sparks this. Well, these are just two hundred nessy obsessed folks. They
- 4:54just they had a Facebook group, Let's find NeSSI today, and they just
- 4:57decided we're going to go to town. I imagine they have a group that
- 5:00meets once a week. Well, they got together organizers and now a little
- 5:03excitement came about when they detected some what they described as gloop sounds coming from
- 5:11the ocean. Now, if you're unfamiliar with what a gloop sound is,
- 5:14I imagine it's something like this. That's what I was wondering, like gold
- 5:20gold. I bet that was nasty, like somebody find me. I gotta
- 5:25get out of here. And that's just it. I mean, what else
- 5:28could it be. It's obviously nasty. So they're thinking, well, chiefs,
- 5:31thank god we heard that. That's obviously nasty, and we all got
- 5:34it all recorded. But we can show it to the world improve once and
- 5:38for all. The nasty exists. But wait a minute, somebody forgot to
- 5:42hit record, so it's as good as useless. Okay, let's just say,
- 5:49for instance, they were to get the recording and then they bring it
- 5:53to somebody who's so they're gonna waste more resources on this and then somebody's gonna
- 5:58go you know what that was? That was a trout? That was a
- 6:02trout? I don't know. I'm just I just picked. You think Nessy
- 6:05and a trout sound the same? I don't know. You are sorely mistakes
- 6:10a northern pike. No, you're underst making the size of Nest. Can
- 6:13I hear what pike would sound like? Underwater pike? It sounds like a
- 6:19neoz deuce? Like, no, you gotta explain what you're talking about.
- 6:27A number two, I mean a big one. But maybe that's what you
- 6:33were getting after. But I thought, surely it's too early in the morning
- 6:35for her to say that. No. No, Now the volunteers did concede
- 6:41that it may have been ducks. Oh my gosh, how embarrassing that's I
- 6:46mean, are they making fun of this at all? I mean they had
- 6:49drones and stopped. Now they're dead series, because I mean a lot of
- 6:51people in the world you can you can find two hundred crazy people to go
- 6:55look for Nessy. What if we do find NESTI then what you kill him?
- 6:58Right? But also, do you think NeSSI still alive? That's what
- 7:00I'm saying. Nineteen thirty three. We're going on a hundred years of nassy
- 7:03now, I mean the dinosaurs they'll live forever, because aren't they comparing?
- 7:06Of course they do. Nasty and a dinosaur. Will they look similar?
- 7:12I don't know, That's what I'm want. Are they from the same fam?
- 7:15I suspect nasty is mythical in completely? Yeah, I don't know.
- 7:19I mean, you got turtles. You hear about these big tortoises that like,
- 7:23we're born in the eighteen hundreds, so you know, NeSSI could you
- 7:27know he could still be alive? And well, well if we do,
- 7:29then we'll have to do like an ancestry dot com, get some DNA and
- 7:30send it out in the morning. Seven. What is the perfect temperature for
- 7:39sleeping cold? Because there was a study your home would be I don't want
- 7:46to spoil it yet, but there is a study that determined the perfect temperature
- 7:48for sleeping okay? And I think we all differ. Like for me and
- 7:51my my wife, I want a cold, she wants it, you know,
- 7:55normal, But I like for me, if we're in a hotel and
- 7:59it's not what I'm not paying for the you know, the electric bill or
- 8:01whatever, like sixty five Oh my gosh, my husband is like Iceberg straight
- 8:05ahead. The colder, the better, no matter what. It's just crazy
- 8:09to me, but our home sits at sixty eight. That's exactly where it
- 8:13should be, even in the summer, like during the day. Yeah,
- 8:16all the time. See what's is your If you don't mind me asking,
- 8:20what's that Cass County electric bill? Look like you don't know? I want
- 8:24to say, it's like eighty six. It isn't not sixty or eighty.
- 8:28Come on, don't be sure you got a whole yeah, big house,
- 8:30I'd have to give it. Keep it at sixty eight when it's ninety degrees
- 8:33during the day. We gotta be talking about hundreds of dollars here, I
- 8:35don't think so, I really don't. I think I would know if it
- 8:39was hundreds of dollars. But pull up your household budget spreads. Yeah,
- 8:43I am going to as we discuss this. But in the so, my
- 8:48husband always sleeps with a fan so it's even cooler. And then we have
- 8:50the fan in our room above us. That makes me a little bit cooler
- 8:52and I love that. I like it, though, get it windy in
- 8:56there to sleep, don't you? Absolutely? But I did read a sunny
- 9:00and the one we're about to talk about it confirms it. But they say
- 9:03that warmer temperatures are better for sleep, and that to me seems totally counterintuitive
- 9:09to be hot in Oh No. Researchers at Hebrew Senior Life these are the
- 9:15ones leading the charge on got it perfect sleep tempt They through eleven thousand nights
- 9:20of sleep, determined that adults sleep best at temperatures between sixty eight and seventy
- 9:26seven degrees, which is a huge window. Oh my gosh, I would
- 9:31be naked and like somebody pour ice on me. Now we've done it,
- 9:35like when we were living in Florida, like in it's obviously hot all day
- 9:39and hot at night, like we would sleep at like seventy six seventy seven.
- 9:43And it really isn't as bad as you think, Like that sounds like
- 9:45some sort of living hell. It's not as bad as you think. I
- 9:48don't know, Pike one, I had a total for you one twenty three.
- 9:52Really, yeah, that's now, that's an efficient HVAC in the morning.
- 10:00Then you're ready, ready, that's he is piping hot today. We
- 10:05know Amanda Stills the sea. Look see, oh this is a jam I
- 10:11wish Jessica Simpson would come up with some new music. I've never felt that
- 10:15way, but I do enjoy the song. I know it's a good one.
- 10:18Speaking of Jessica Simpson, she's being dragged on the internet. That's what
- 10:22people do these days. They just feel like they can just judge your kids
- 10:24because you post a picture of them, and she did just that. She's
- 10:26got an eleven year old daughter who's adorable, and she was wearing a crop
- 10:31top next to her mom, and people are now saying, you're sexualizing your
- 10:35daughter. Why would you let her go out of the house like that?
- 10:39You know all the things as a mom you want to hear about your kids.
- 10:41You've chosen to let them do that. Did Jessica clap back at the
- 10:46haters? I love when celebrities do that. I haven't seen any clap back.
- 10:50I feel like she's one of them that just ignores she does a really
- 10:52good job at whatever. Are you gonna let your daughter sitting who's what four?
- 10:56Now she is four? Are you gonna let her romp around and crop
- 11:00tops? I'm sure I'm guessing that the thrifty thrift store trend will be back
- 11:05by the time she's in high school, so they're I believe they're wearing shirts
- 11:07that's say like Grandpa on it now, so that'll be nice. Oh yeah,
- 11:11like my sister in law, Lauren's younger sister, was like seventeen,
- 11:13but yeah, like wearing the biggest pants you've ever seen. Yeah, I
- 11:16mean giant pants. It's just dad, like straight up dad otfens. It's
- 11:22absolutely huge baggy shirts. So don't have to worry about it for now.
- 11:26Yeah, you know what, I can't even think about that, but I'll
- 11:31parent her when it comes to that, and you guys can just stay off
- 11:33my comments. Thanks. Nick does most of the parenting anyway. Well,
- 11:35for sure. You know he's a huge fan of Sydney wearing a crop top
- 11:39at four, even bikinis. He's like, yes, let's get them all.
- 11:45I know you're getting just hearing that pike and how about some new jams.
- 11:48I know we love when Carrie Underwood does Sunday Night football, but now
- 11:52for Monday night football games, we're gonna be hearing some Timberland and justin Timberlake.
- 11:56Oh wow. Yeah, they're teaming up to do a bunch of collaborations
- 11:58for promotional spots Live telegas pregame shows because what so Sunday Night was always it
- 12:05used to be faith Hill, which is crazy. Carry's been doing it for
- 12:07what do we say, crazy, But it feels like yesterday it was faith
- 12:13Hill. I know, I know, but she I mean, but then
- 12:16Monday night was what Hank William was that Hill was he got canceled or whatever.
- 12:20Yeah, it's football, yes, JT. Though, I mean maker
- 12:26of such hits as the theme from McDonald's and can't stop the feeling. We
- 12:33were just talking a little bit about I had no idea. How did I
- 12:35miss it? In Sync is supposed to be collaborating well, I know,
- 12:39justin timber Lake as a part of it for a jam Introlls three everything I'm
- 12:43reading that's happening, and that's in theaters November seventeenth. Yeah, nothing officially
- 12:48yet. But the movie, the Trolls movie is so JT's voicing the main
- 12:52guy who used to be in a boy band in this movie, and it's
- 12:54like I watched the trailer and there's so many little Easter eggs that would lead
- 12:58me to believe that, and say is doing a song for the movie.
- 13:01So it makes me excited because as a parent Now. I'm all about the
- 13:03soundtrack. So if you know the kids are in the backseat watching something,
- 13:07that's why we love sing. Rolls is another good one, because at least
- 13:11you've got some good jams every week in a while. It's not just something.
- 13:13Yeah, they will never be as good as our Heyday. I mean
- 13:16the Lion King soundtrack. Let's go. Have you not wat sing? I've
- 13:20seen sing? My nephews love sing. Yeah, I've seen. It's hard
- 13:24to argue saying it is three two. I mean, dost compared to the
- 13:28Prince Aliatada, I'm not And we're not even touching a whole new world yet.
- 13:35The circle of life. Okay, you might have an argument here,
- 13:39Ariel. Did you love any of her? Any of her bottom? The
- 13:46fish part under the sea. That was a good one. Yuh, all
- 13:50right, we'll move on here. Bradley Cooper and his ex Irena Shake,
- 13:54I thought they were completely done. I knew that there was rumors they were
- 13:58kind of hanging out about a year ago. They do have a daughter who
- 14:01is six years old. I understand co parenting, I'm all for it,
- 14:05but these pictures that have surfaced just after she's been hanging out with Tom Brady
- 14:09on their little vacation over the weekend. See more than just co parenting.
- 14:13Yeah, well, you just see them holding each other in the one photo
- 14:16and you just think it's just obviously there's more going on than that. It's
- 14:24fromantic. You're taking me to a place, poor Tom. What if Tom
- 14:28really liked her? This guy just stay away from the supermodels. It's time
- 14:33for him to a kuna matata somewhere else. Who feel the love somewhere else?
- 14:37Tom, God, this is a sosten If you're not feeling something right
- 14:41now? Did you get alive? Did you play all this in Bands and
- 14:45Quiet? We did the whole montage medley of all of them again, I've
- 14:48played the alto sax Yeah, I know, sax man backup off. I
- 14:52was like it was the last chair. I'm not trying to say I was
- 14:54good, but I remember when we did Under the Sea, just tapping on
- 14:58the foot, just I pretended like I was playing you, mister lin Leaf
- 15:03up there. I'm guessing you weren't practicing much at home. Nope, kids
- 15:07like you. It's like, you know, like in a mina in the
- 15:13morning on Big Nutty eight point seven. How did you have a trip ruined
- 15:16seven one two eighty eight seven Facebook comment sating interesting, we do. We
- 15:20have one here from Diana. She said, my daughter got chicken pox years
- 15:24ago on the third day of our two week vacation in Florida. Chicken that's
- 15:30still a thing. We were stuck in a hotel for days second week.
- 15:35Had planned a few days at Disney and they were able to kind of get
- 15:37a couple of things in but oh my gosh, and then two kids ended
- 15:41up with chicken pox on the way home because of oh my god, goes
- 15:43there. I'm always so nervous. I feel like the week leading up to
- 15:46a vacation I've really been looking forward to. I always start to get like
- 15:48a tickle in my throat or something like my brain determined. You're kind of
- 15:52a hypochondriact in that way. I don't know, well, just something about
- 15:56my body. It's like, Oh, this dude's excited about something. Let's
- 15:58see if we can pooh pooh that right. Seven oh one two one ninety
- 16:03eight seven. You can either call or text. We got a text here
- 16:04from Katie. She said, my parents and I were staying at an Airbnb
- 16:10and I woke up to termites crawling on my pajamas. Yuck. How do
- 16:18you come back from that? This just makes me itchy thinking about it.
- 16:22I've never even seen a bedbug, but I've heard a lot of horrible bedbug
- 16:23stories. All right, we have a phone call here. How was your
- 16:26vacation? Ruin? Good morning? So we were actually down in Omaha,
- 16:32Nebraska. Little vacation to Nebraska. Yeah, we went down and took the
- 16:37kids to the zoo and sent a couple of times, spend a couple of
- 16:40days there, and then we were driving home and all of a sudden,
- 16:45dus North's two falls my car guyed out of blue. Oh no, oh
- 16:48my gosh. And that area is like dead zone. If you don't fill
- 16:52up like after Brookings, you have till what the casino. And that's pretty
- 16:56much it was this in the middle of the day. Was it daylight?
- 17:00Yeah, something like that. Oh thank god, because if that's at night,
- 17:03I mean that area that's got some like hills have eyes vibes going on.
- 17:07Yeah, and how many kids you got with you too? I have
- 17:11a six year old and a one year old, and the one year old
- 17:15is perfect to be traveling with him. Sure, yeah, he was,
- 17:18he was. He was a p and it was just recently or it was
- 17:22It wasn't like in the nineties, wasn't. No, this was literally like
- 17:26the twentiest we got stranded. Okay, thank god, because I'm just imagining
- 17:30me growing up being stuck on the road, like you can only play so
- 17:33many Game Boy games, like you just be going insane. So so all
- 17:36in all, how long were you stuck on the side of the road in
- 17:38Brookings? Seven to eight hours with a one year old? God speed?
- 17:45Oh my gosh, was in a gas station with nothing around, brutal.
- 17:49Thank you so much for calling and sharing that story. Yeah, no problems.
- 17:52A lot of people don't on our Facebook page, whether it's like a
- 17:56food poisoning situation kind of which brought this up as far as the carnival cruise.
- 18:02Yeah, but some people are going to exotic, warm places and then
- 18:04finding out that they're allergic to the sun. Oh god. Or have you
- 18:07ever had somebody that you've been on vacation with or if you've been at a
- 18:11resort and they get sun poisoning and then they're just downing out, Oh god,
- 18:15horrible. Yes, just being sick at all in a vacation. I
- 18:17feel like though maybe there is this phenomena troop for you. I don't get
- 18:21hungover on vacation like in Vegas. You would think they'd be there just hangover
- 18:25central, But because I think hangovers are as much mental as they are physical.
- 18:29See, I find myself usually getting a migraine, like I finally got
- 18:33them on lockdown with medicine and like making sure I'm hydrating and stuff like that.
- 18:37But I feel like traveling. I used to get supertense, anxious and
- 18:41the day or two of any vacation because usually when I when I go somewhere,
- 18:45I'm like coming in hot, You're getting the cocktails, you're having a
- 18:48good time. It's like, oh, I've been on trips with you.
- 18:49Yeah, we're not even out of the Fargo International Airport and you're boning up
- 18:53point three so stop it. But then you're like, gosh, why did
- 18:57I do that? And you're so it's so two ninety eight seven. By
- 19:02the way, if you have your vacation ruined, I'm telling you're not really
- 19:03ruined, but more of an awkward situation. What happened? Okay, so
- 19:07we're on that moving sidewalk. Yeah, so there is a woman and her
- 19:14elderly mother in front of us, and they get to the end and they
- 19:17both drop and start tumbling, both of them. Yeah, oh my gosh,
- 19:21like they had no idea how to operate us or a distracted time and
- 19:25went, oh no, yep, they just drop. I will say,
- 19:29when you get on and off that thing, you do have to be a
- 19:32bit of an athlete. I mean they're moving, you know what I mean.
- 19:34Well, it depends if you're if you're in a go zone. See
- 19:37for us, it's fun because this is how we actually entertain our kids at
- 19:41the airport. Now, it's like you just go round and round and round
- 19:45on that thing. Oh you're that fam I am that family, yep,
- 19:48getting our steps in. But what ended up happening. I ended up accidentally
- 19:51grabbing the elderly mother's but while I was trying to help them get back up,
- 19:56didn't see that coming. Okay, curveball. They grabbed the ladies rear
- 20:00than one. We finally all got up, someone shut it off and they
- 20:06ended up being on the same flight as us. It's a good story,
- 20:08though that's kind of fun. You're humiliating for them, that would be very
- 20:11embarrassing. The most annoying thing about those things is that, you know,
- 20:15people don't get that you're one. You're supposed to be walking. If you're
- 20:18gonna be not walking, get over to the right side. From God.
- 20:22It's absolutely the most frustrating thing in the world. Thank you for the call.
- 20:26What was your name? By the way, Jamie? Jamie got it?
- 20:29Bingo? All right, have a good day. Hi, get Amanda
- 20:32in the morning. What do you think about this? This woman who shall
- 20:37remain anonymous, wrote in b said that she broke up with her boyfriend.
- 20:41Okay, now here's the reason. They hadn't been dating too long, so
- 20:44it's nothing overly serious. But she had plans on a Friday night with him.
- 20:48Now, she'd just gotten off work, needed to start getting ready,
- 20:51so she texts him, told her what time she'd be over. But she
- 20:53also revealed to him that it was her monthly visit from what are you ladies?
- 21:00Aunt? Flow on Flow. Yeah. Yeah, So there's so many
- 21:03ways we address it, you know, grown adults. Now it's like not
- 21:07a big deal. Well sure, but you know, imagine these two not
- 21:10dating that long. So she told him that, you know, she wasn't
- 21:12feeling well. She had all the cramps and everything that goes with it,
- 21:15and so he, being a good boyfriend, said well, jeez, I'm
- 21:18sorry. Is there anything I can do for you? Oh? That's nice
- 21:21A sweet guy, that is really She said, well, you know what,
- 21:22actually he'd sent you live right by a store. Can you run over
- 21:26there and grab me some tampons? And so he said, you know what,
- 21:33you know, why don't we do that when you get here, we
- 21:33can go together or something. So she's like, okay. So when she
- 21:37got over there, she said she asked him point blank, said why did
- 21:41you not want to do that? And he said it just was uncomfortable for
- 21:45him to do that and he didn't want to do it. I mean,
- 21:48that's fair. I would think your defense as a man would be Ah,
- 21:52I don't know where to start, because that that aisle can be very intimidating.
- 21:57Most men don't know the different and sometimes right away between tampons and pads
- 22:03and like, it's just it's a lot of stuff going on. Absolutely,
- 22:06But that's why guys is and brands and I mean all of those things.
- 22:08You can't send a man in blind. You know, you don't just say
- 22:11the box, figure it out, No, you give them the exact details.
- 22:14And even then I'm still gonna probably FaceTime you and be like these Yeah,
- 22:18I usually anytime and do anything. It's like I go to the internet,
- 22:21take a screenshot. This is exactly what I need. If you could
- 22:25find it, that would be fat And does your husband Nick get weird about
- 22:27it? Or no, Lauren doesn't ask me to do this. I feel
- 22:30like he might have a couple of times gone and done it for me.
- 22:33Okay, I understand now. This woman, for her part, did break
- 22:36up with her boyfriend. She said it was just too much, too immature.
- 22:38See from what I've heard of this story, it's kind of like he's
- 22:42uncomfortable. It's new that and he was asking you point blank, how can
- 22:48I comfort you? Like what can I do for you? I feel like
- 22:49that's pretty sweet. Well it might be a little dramatic here, but I
- 22:52mean I get it. I don't know how old these people were, because
- 22:56when I was younger, like, I can imagine the feeling of being uncomfortable,
- 22:59Like, yeah, it's just a natural feeling. It's weird, but
- 23:00like, why don't you think about It's like, okay, so I'm going
- 23:03through the checkout it what am I afraid of? Like that the random Denise
- 23:07working at the Walgreen's checkout is going to think that I'm on happy yeah,
- 23:12my menstrual side. I actually think that most people are like, oh my
- 23:15gosh, you have Hershey's chocolate bars and those what a great man? Are
- 23:19you single? And I'm kidding? Maybe is there anything that you do get
- 23:23uncomfortable when you are purchasing it? Back in the day, I just like
- 23:27you, I remember being mortified, especially if it was like super like you're
- 23:33getting like you feel like everybody is looking at you. Do you ever real
- 23:36the sizes of them? Michael? Is that the biggest one? Like what
- 23:40if it is like what if it's you're standing there and you feel I don't
- 23:42want to Do you ever look at Do you ever look at what people are
- 23:45buying when you're going to the grocery store? Do you ever like look at
- 23:48what they're doing? I think a little cart peeking? Do you peek?
- 23:52I'm a little peeking. Okay, So that's how you feel. Sometimes you're
- 23:56like somebody looking at judging because you can clearly see what's going on in my
- 23:59world. Oh yeah, if you're somebody who's working at a grocery store,
- 24:03Okey dope, Why here we go. Fun night for you. It is
- 24:07just such an awkward situation. Like you know, back in the day,
- 24:10I remember like purchasing, you know, being a very safe young man.
- 24:14Right, so go and move with my safety things. And I just would
- 24:18I would just get it out of the way, get the awkwardness out of
- 24:21the way. I'd be They'd be like, did you find everything all right?
- 24:22I'd be like, yes, just the one pack of yeah, got
- 24:26it. Please just go like okay, good luck, partner. And how
- 24:32awkward I mean just that of course you do you set yourself up for those
- 24:37moments. Some kids back in the day I remember talking about the same thing.
- 24:41They would steal them. I mean they would go to the target on
- 24:42forty second Street and steal them because they were that nervous because you didn't have
- 24:47a side hustle. It's like, I'll do it for you because it's fun
- 24:48for me. Interest rate now that well, that idea a minute in the
- 24:53morning, big nutty eight point seven, i'spect a thing when you hear that
- 24:59tough friends fucking this listens friend arrested friend, Well, this will be fun.
- 25:11This lady is trying to get an apartment and so she's applied as you
- 25:15do. And she put down her friend Kaitlyn as a reference. So you
- 25:18know, she just called Kaitlyn and said, hey, if you get a
- 25:19call from these people, just give me a good referenced Caitlyn. Love this
- 25:25girl. She's being silly. She said, why don't we just you know,
- 25:26maybe prank caller? So she called us, So that's what we're trying
- 25:30to do, all right, Chance? Hello, Yeah, Hi? Is
- 25:36this Melanie Ni Hi? Ken Shamrock here over at Properties. Just had a
- 25:41little update on the apartment rental application we'd received from you. Okay, okay,
- 25:47great, Well it's bad news, Melanie. We talked to one of
- 25:51the references you put down on the application. We have reason to believe,
- 25:55based on the information we got from this reference that you aren't exactly going to
- 25:59be a good fit as far as being a tenant in this specific apartment building.
- 26:04Based on what they said, what can you just tell me who the
- 26:08references so that I can call up at them. No, can do,
- 26:11Melanie. But what I can tell you is, well, they said you
- 26:15were stanking. Excuse me, yeah, they said you were quote stanking from
- 26:22their experience, I just don't understand what that means or how that it could
- 26:27be ground for, yes, not leasing me an apartment. And that's a
- 26:32crazy thing, Melanie, is that we don't really understand either, But we
- 26:34just got to air on the side of caution here. I can tell you
- 26:37a little bit of context of how they used the word stanking, if you
- 26:41know, if you would be maybe that would help you. Basically, it
- 26:45said, quote, Melanie was rarely home, but when she was, she
- 26:48was stanking. Look, it kind of just left it there. I don't
- 26:52think that this is like a legal grounds for not being able to leasing an
- 26:56apartment. Well, legally have discretion who we rent and don't rent to,
- 27:02so that's really not up for discussion. Look, I need you to tell
- 27:04me who this was. It was my reference after all, so I think
- 27:07I'm entitled to know who gave this review. Like I, let's flip the
- 27:12rolls here, Melanie put the you know, put my shoes on for a
- 27:15second. I said, hey, Melanie, we got a roommate for you.
- 27:17But the only thing we know about him is that they were stanking.
- 27:19You know, how do you feel about that? Look, I don't know
- 27:22what it means on Urban Dictionary, Okay, I don't have time to ask
- 27:26set up for now? Look up? You go ahead, look it up,
- 27:27and then while you're at a google a different apartment company because you're gonna
- 27:30have to live with somewhere else. Sorry, Okay, No, I really
- 27:33need you to give me whoever said that. I need you to give me
- 27:37the reference because I need to follow up of them. Please don't throw away
- 27:41my application, Melanie, mel can I call you, melt I got,
- 27:48I got. I can tell you who it is, Okay, but you
- 27:49can't be mad at them. Promise. Well, I'm not going to promise
- 27:53that, but I just need to know who it is. Well, it
- 27:55was your friend Caitlin you put down as a reference. What, Yeah,
- 27:59Caitlyn said. Okay, I'm gonna be honest. I got news. This
- 28:02is not the rental apartment company. Don't worry. Oh, I guess you're
- 28:06getting the apartment. I don't want to speak out of turn here. Maybe
- 28:07you're not. It's Pike and Amanday in the morning, a big ninety eight
- 28:11point seven, Melanie, we were totally kidding. Is a prank call.
- 28:12Don't worry? Oh my god, Hatelin. He says you're stanky girl,
- 28:19You're stanky. Thank you. Oh my god, Melanie, in this day
- 28:23and age, you can't trust somebody who stank it. You just can't.
- 28:26You know what that means. I really don't even know what that means.
- 28:30Oh, I'm going to kill her. I don't do that. I'm not
- 28:33gonna get anyone to rent to a convicted murderer. Oh, you're right,
- 28:37You're right. I can't believe I fell over that. I get a minute
- 28:41in the morning. Sign. Now here's what you need to know. Well,
- 28:47it was buzzing morehead last week and now recent changes to Minnesota's Department of
- 28:51Education laws, they're causing more school resource programs to be temporarily suspended. The
- 28:56Clay County Sheriff's office met with school officials at DGF and Youln hit it All
- 29:00and agreed to temporarily suspend their SRORO program until they receive clarity from legislators and
- 29:06state agencies. Governor Bergham he continues to try and get his name out there
- 29:11as a presidential contender, and ahead of the second Republican debate yesterday, he
- 29:17sat down for an interview and he was as point blank, would you consider
- 29:21being Donald Trump's running mate? Did not hesitate with his answer Pike, he
- 29:26said, no, I would not happy to do a lot of other things,
- 29:30though, I wonder why. I wonder why you feel like you would
- 29:33make a good vice. I guess not trying to get into it here,
- 29:37but honestly, no idea like for me. I feel like he's the energy
- 29:41guy for like the cabinet or something much if he doesn't make presidency. It's
- 29:45going to be interesting to see how this all unfolds because the second debate is
- 29:48going to be on September twenty seven, and you have to have at least
- 29:53three percent in the two national polls, or in one national poll and then
- 29:57another in one of the state. It's either Iowa, New Hampshire, South
- 30:00Carolina, or Nevada. Last time I checked, has he broke one percent?
- 30:04Yet? You looked one percent of what that's just it like just one
- 30:10percent? No, you know me, I'm just waiting for the caucus,
- 30:15the Iowa caucus. When does that happen? Uh, I don't know.
- 30:18Eventually. Thanks thanks for having a real combo with me. I really appreciate
- 30:25it. Oh, you're trying to have a serious conversation. I was really
- 30:27trying to You got the wrong guy, and the football season is going to
- 30:32be here before you know what. It's already college this weekend, and then
- 30:34the following weekend is already week from Thursdays the first NFL game, and then
- 30:37that Sunday, my birthday will be the first big Sunday of football. Your
- 30:41birthday. Brickhouse and West Fargo better scrap up because it's gonna be a wild
- 30:48one. They still do the unlimited birthday drinks too. Why do you think
- 30:53we're going Yeah, breaking news, Oh my, anyway, the world's largest
- 31:00tailgate is going to be happening on Bike's birthday. And I'm kidding, this
- 31:04is on September seventh. Kind of bizarre how they're gonna do this. It's
- 31:07gonna be held outside of the Chief Stadium. They're taking on the Lions at
- 31:11Arrowhead or yeah, Arrowhead, and they're also doing like a virtual deal for
- 31:17it. It just seems ridiculous, Like what is the point of this?
- 31:19Maybe, like in April of twenty twenty, I might have considered this,
- 31:22but I think I'm done with any sort of virtual event. Oh my gosh,
- 31:27that is so legit to it just doesn't even seem real. Yeah,
- 31:30all right, weatherwise today it is going to be smoky again, Hive about
- 31:34seventy nine looking at of your forecast, still could see ninety by the end
- 31:38of the week.
