Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Sure, it's time and low and low. Now welcome to
- 0:16Speaker 1: the Naughty but Nicia. I'm your host, rum Shooter. It
- 0:19Speaker 1: is Friday, which means our dear friend Corey. Andrew joins us, Hey, Corey,
- 0:23Speaker 1: are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I am here.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Everyone with bells on. I wait for you to say
- 0:28Speaker 1: the bells. Sometimes I think you're not going to say
- 0:30Speaker 1: it. It makes me Chuckler, have a thought of you, a
- 0:32Speaker 1: visual of you walking around New York with bells on
- 0:36Speaker 1: your shoes.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Honey, it won't be the first time.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Believe me. That's what makes it so delightful. If you know, Corey,
- 0:43Speaker 1: we do it could happen, dingle ling aling. Okay, let's
- 0:46Speaker 1: jump into the show. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:48Speaker 1: That it is tea time. We have some horrifying new
- 0:52Speaker 1: details about the Perez Hilton mentalalth breakdown attempted suicide. Now
- 0:57Speaker 1: we're finding out that the children were in the home,
- 1:00Speaker 1: and the reason we know this is the family is
- 1:02Speaker 1: speaking out. I'm not quite sure why they're talking about
- 1:06Speaker 1: this so much. I have a theory, which we'll get
- 1:08Speaker 1: to a little later on. But the heartbreaking details have
- 1:12Speaker 1: emerged about Perez's Hilton's I had never known quite what
- 1:15Speaker 1: to call him, because I call him Mario. I've known
- 1:17Speaker 1: him for thirty years, so I say Mario, but people
- 1:22Speaker 1: know him as Pereers and so that's sometimes why I
- 1:24Speaker 1: stumble over there. So if I go back and forth
- 1:26Speaker 1: between Marie and Press, you know who I'm talking about.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Perez's mental health crisis, his family. Of all people, his
- 1:32Speaker 1: family are revealing that Perez's three children, who I've met,
- 1:36Speaker 1: along with his sister and his niece, were inside the
- 1:39Speaker 1: Miami home minutes before the incident unfolded. When it became
- 1:44Speaker 1: clear he was experiencing a severe mental health crisis, they
- 1:49Speaker 1: immediately got the kids out of the house. So some
- 1:53Speaker 1: people are saying, how could they leave him, how could
- 1:55Speaker 1: they run away? They did run out of the house,
- 1:58Speaker 1: but it was because they wanted to get those three
- 2:00Speaker 1: kids out of the house. Now the family is asking
- 2:03Speaker 1: for privacy, which is very complicated because they are also
- 2:06Speaker 1: putting out statements. Perez remains in hospital. He is receiving
- 2:11Speaker 1: medical care, and loved ones and his fans continue to
- 2:14Speaker 1: pray for him. This has been a very difficult story
- 2:17Speaker 1: for me to report because I know Perees. I've seen
- 2:21Speaker 1: the good and the bad, and what I've decided is
- 2:23Speaker 1: that I'm going to give him grace in a time
- 2:26Speaker 1: that he probably wouldn't give it to us. Like he
- 2:29Speaker 1: was not the kindest person. He wasn't when anything bad
- 2:33Speaker 1: happens to somebody, when a celebrity passes, when somebody gets
- 2:36Speaker 1: in trouble, we say to them, we canonize them, we
- 2:40Speaker 1: make them into something that's just not true. And I
- 2:42Speaker 1: think it is far more healthy for them and ourselves
- 2:46Speaker 1: to acknowledge that Perez is a very, very difficult person.
- 2:51Speaker 1: He dealt in cruelty, he dealt in hate, and it
- 2:54Speaker 1: made him very very successful for a certain period of time.
- 2:58Speaker 1: My sources are telling me that it was money, it
- 3:02Speaker 1: was lack of power, it was that the day has
- 3:04Speaker 1: gone where he was relevant. That all added to this crisis.
- 3:09Speaker 1: What are you hearing? And we're going to try and
- 3:10Speaker 1: be kind. Yes, it's tricky. What are you hearing?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you totally. We have to extend
- 3:16Speaker 2: We don't have to extend grace. We choose to extend
- 3:18Speaker 2: grace to someone who maybe we might see is not
- 3:21Speaker 2: deserving in many aspects. However, yes, I am hearing as
- 3:24Speaker 2: well that it was the fact that now he is
- 3:27Speaker 2: completely a social pariah in Hollywood. He is someone no
- 3:31Speaker 2: longer allowed in those circles where he used to have access.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And let's not forget he was one of the first
- 3:37Speaker 2: websites that generated serious income. His website was generating millions
- 3:42Speaker 2: of dollars in its heyday from advertising because he had
- 3:46Speaker 2: all these salacious stories about celebrities and people would go
- 3:49Speaker 2: to his website, which was very lucrative. All that has
- 3:52Speaker 2: dried up, all that's gone, and he's reportedly, you know,
- 3:57Speaker 2: taking offers from anywhere and anything, which are not adding
- 4:01Speaker 2: up to the same lucrative lifestyle that he used to have.
- 4:04Speaker 2: So the pressure was mounting. But I think the big
- 4:07Speaker 2: issue is a he's a social outcast now in Hollywood,
- 4:12Speaker 2: and that's a far far from grace from where he
- 4:15Speaker 2: used to be, so it's difficult.
- 4:17Speaker 1: In the early two thousands, he had every publicist on
- 4:20Speaker 1: speed dial, including me, and we would lead stuff to
- 4:23Speaker 1: him and would give him stuff, and before we went
- 4:25Speaker 1: to People magazine or a weekly or one of the
- 4:28Speaker 1: big TV shows, we'd get a preyers. People were sitting
- 4:31Speaker 1: in that offices, including me, hitting refresh over and over
- 4:34Speaker 1: and over again, and that generated traffic and his numbers
- 4:38Speaker 1: were staggering. Before Instagram, social media, before TikTok, you'd go
- 4:42Speaker 1: to Pereers. He was the original, he was on Twitter,
- 4:45Speaker 1: he was it and I tip my hat for that.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I do tip my hat for the hard work he did.
- 4:50Speaker 1: He does. His work ethic was extraordinary. I could email
- 4:54Speaker 1: him or text him. I think email was BlackBerry back then. Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 1: it is. Before we had eyes. If you emailed Marrio,
- 5:02Speaker 1: he'd email you back within ten minutes. It was extraordinary
- 5:06Speaker 1: being around that energy, that passion. It all stopped and
- 5:10Speaker 1: it wasn't just his fault. Part of it was that
- 5:13Speaker 1: we became better people and the world changed and that
- 5:16Speaker 1: type of nastiness was no longer acceptable. Remember when Simon
- 5:20Speaker 1: Cowell could say horrible things about people but clearly were
- 5:24Speaker 1: mentally challenged, that had mental health issues. Right when on
- 5:27Speaker 1: American idol William Young, Remember his fun like that he
- 5:32Speaker 1: couldn't do today. The world has changed, thankfully, that's a
- 5:35Speaker 1: good thing. So Perez tried to change that site, and
- 5:38Speaker 1: the minute he was not himself, we knew it wasn't real.
- 5:43Speaker 1: We knew it wasn't authentic. This story, though, about the
- 5:46Speaker 1: kids is absolutely alarming. I am working on this twenty
- 5:51Speaker 1: four hours a day. I'm told from sources close to
- 5:54Speaker 1: the family that his mom would now like to get
- 5:57Speaker 1: custody of the kids. His clean going to be in
- 6:00Speaker 1: hospital for a certain amount of time, and then when
- 6:03Speaker 1: he comes out of hospital, I think he's having trouble
- 6:06Speaker 1: where we know he's having trouble looking after himself. Sure
- 6:09Speaker 1: he can't look after three kids while he's in this state.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So I think we're going to see the kids live
- 6:14Speaker 1: with his mom for a long time. Complicated. I just
- 6:17Speaker 1: read a friend of mine, Shirley Helper and who's a
- 6:19Speaker 1: brilliant editor of Rolling Stone magazine, and she has a
- 6:23Speaker 1: piece up today on Rolling Stone about her complicated relationship
- 6:27Speaker 1: with him, and she said she knows all the good
- 6:29Speaker 1: and all the bad. There's a lot of bad there,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but she's going to try and remember that he is
- 6:34Speaker 1: a human being, he's a person here. And I think
- 6:37Speaker 1: the name that we spoke about at the top of
- 6:39Speaker 1: the show is really interesting because, like me, Shirley from
- 6:44Speaker 1: Rolling Stone doesn't know whether she wanted to call him
- 6:48Speaker 1: Marrio or she knew he was married. So she decided
- 6:51Speaker 1: that in all her exchange with Pereers, she called him
- 6:54Speaker 1: p just pee. However, today she's not thinking about p
- 6:58Speaker 1: or Perez. She's thinking about Marion, thinking about the human
- 7:01Speaker 1: being who's a father of three kids. So I think,
- 7:03Speaker 1: moving forward, Mario, it should be not Perez. Maybe it's
- 7:07Speaker 1: time that this Perez thing ended a marrier.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because he did his whole like apology tour on
- 7:15Speaker 2: Ellen and then he was but then he was like
- 7:17Speaker 2: a week later, was back to being hen't help.
- 7:19Speaker 1: It, He bites you. I've had dinner with him many
- 7:21Speaker 1: many times, and I've actually had quite a fun experience
- 7:24Speaker 1: around him. And then the next day he bites me.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Oh, I hadn't go off, remember, I mean I had
- 7:30Speaker 2: to defend you. I jumped on with a video because
- 7:33Speaker 2: he did. It was just like two years ago.
- 7:35Speaker 1: He bites me. He bites me, oh, and he leaves marks,
- 7:38Speaker 1: which brings us that whole question of the day, a
- 7:41Speaker 1: really sad question, but prereses children fled the home moments before,
- 7:46Speaker 1: moments before a mental health crisis, the mental health crisis.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Are you worried for these kids? There's three little kids here. Gosh,
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's heartbreaking. Hey go vote on at X page, at
- 7:57Speaker 1: Twitter page, at Naughty Knights rob Our Facebook page, is
- 8:01Speaker 1: nord to gossip, and be sure to check back tomorrow
- 8:05Speaker 1: to hear or not even tomorrow, maybe even we turn't
- 8:09Speaker 1: do it Saturday show. We do not. We don't do
- 8:11Speaker 1: a Saturday show yet, So check check back on Monday
- 8:16Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey, what are you working on, Corey?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yes, well, Tory's spelling is in the news, and I
- 8:21Speaker 2: actually love Tory spelling. She's someone who've always just thought
- 8:24Speaker 2: it was a really interesting Hollywood character. But she is
- 8:27Speaker 2: finally addressing her sudden departure from the nine O two
- 8:31Speaker 2: to one o MG podcast, but don't expect all the
- 8:34Speaker 2: answers just yet. So during an Instagram live with her
- 8:37Speaker 2: former Beverly Hills nine O two one oh co star
- 8:39Speaker 2: Brian Austin Green, she admitted that she is not ready
- 8:43Speaker 2: to quote speak my truth, and she's saying that she
- 8:45Speaker 2: wants time to reflect before explaining why she walked away
- 8:49Speaker 2: after nearly six years. Now, I had no idea there
- 8:53Speaker 2: was there was a nine O two one o MG podcast,
- 8:56Speaker 2: but it sounds fabulous and let alone six years, that's
- 8:59Speaker 2: a long time. So she's, you know, no longer there,
- 9:02Speaker 2: and she insisted that fans continue to support Genie Garth
- 9:06Speaker 2: and the new co host Amy Sugarman, who called the
- 9:09Speaker 2: show I mean and Tory calls the show amazing. Still
- 9:12Speaker 2: says it's an amazing show and wants people to keep listening.
- 9:15Speaker 2: But insiders deny there's any dramatic falling out, but rumors
- 9:18Speaker 2: of tension between longtime friends continues to swirl. So that
- 9:23Speaker 2: would be Genie Garth.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Of course and Tory.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Just like old times there was there was rumors that
- 9:28Speaker 2: even on the TV show nine O two one oh,
- 9:30Speaker 2: those two started to have rivalry as Jeanie Garth became
- 9:33Speaker 2: more kind of famous and Tory, who was like the
- 9:36Speaker 2: daughter of Aaron Spelling, the one who was supposed to
- 9:39Speaker 2: be the breakout star, was not really delivering. So I
- 9:43Speaker 2: don't know, what do you think happened here?
- 9:44Speaker 1: I hate on this because it's too delicious. What is
- 9:46Speaker 1: going on? I told it's all about money that when Tory,
- 9:50Speaker 1: Tory's always been struggling, I'm not quite sure. It's just
- 9:53Speaker 1: odd he's considering family money. Although she didn't get any
- 9:56Speaker 1: of the dad's money, I think that went to the
- 9:57Speaker 1: mom Canada, and she wasn't really in the will, but
- 10:00Speaker 1: she did. She was on a hit show for many years,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and most people can just live on that. So she's
- 10:05Speaker 1: always had money issues. So I was told she thought
- 10:08Speaker 1: this would turn her into Joe Rogan. She was expecting
- 10:11Speaker 1: eighty ninety one hundred. Like you know, when you hear people.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I read this week a list of the top five
- 10:16Speaker 1: podcasters and they're earning fifty sixty million. YEA, that doesn't
- 10:20Speaker 1: happen you are you? Cory and I are not on
- 10:22Speaker 1: a yacht in the south of France now, And so
- 10:25Speaker 1: most podcasters earn very little, if anything. In fact, a
- 10:28Speaker 1: lot of podcasters do it for the love of doing this,
- 10:31Speaker 1: and so that was not Tory. Tory wanted to be
- 10:35Speaker 1: very wealthy. She's doing the work and she wants the money.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And Tory considers this an enormous amount of work. Now,
- 10:43Speaker 1: anybody who's had a career like you, Corey or me,
- 10:46Speaker 1: this is the highlight of my day. Talking for twenty
- 10:48Speaker 1: minutes each day is not that difficult. I've got much
- 10:51Speaker 1: harder things to do. But I don't know if that's
- 10:53Speaker 1: the truth with Tory. And so a lot of people
- 10:56Speaker 1: who are entitled, they sit down in front of a
- 10:58Speaker 1: microphone talk for half an hour and then expect a
- 11:01Speaker 1: million dollars and it just doesn't work that way. Lots
- 11:05Speaker 1: of celebrities who have tried to podcast often fail because
- 11:09Speaker 1: they just think they're worth more than they really are,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and so I'm told, And it's often the case, isn't it.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Money is the issue when friends work together, even when
- 11:21Speaker 1: frenemies work together. If they both would get in a
- 11:24Speaker 1: big fat check tour, it would still beyond that.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Like Sex and the City, you know, Kim ConTroll. She
- 11:32Speaker 2: hated to show up every day apparently, but she showed
- 11:35Speaker 2: up to get that check, Get that.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Check, Get that check. Ak Moving along, Sandaya and Tom
- 11:40Speaker 1: Holland celebrated their secret wedding and a private castle in
- 11:44Speaker 1: the UK. This is so cute, so they reportedly hosted
- 11:48Speaker 1: a wedding reception for family and close friends at beaver
- 11:52Speaker 1: Brook Hotel in Surrey, England. It looks like a stately home.
- 11:56Speaker 1: It looks like Doubton Abbey. I've actually been there. It
- 11:59Speaker 1: is a magnificent hotel. I've never stayed there, but I
- 12:01Speaker 1: had tea there once with a fancy friend of mine.
- 12:03Speaker 1: And it's one of those old school British country houses.
- 12:07Speaker 1: It's in the middle of acres and acres of fields
- 12:10Speaker 1: and worries and roaming grass. If ever you want a
- 12:14Speaker 1: postcard of what you think Britain is, like, take a
- 12:17Speaker 1: picture of this hotel that is just perfect. So the
- 12:20Speaker 1: staff and the guests were banned from using their cell
- 12:23Speaker 1: phones to ensure no video leaked. It didn't, so that's
- 12:26Speaker 1: a good thing. I mean, we did get leaks out
- 12:28Speaker 1: of Taylor swiftsword, and we've got none out of Tom
- 12:32Speaker 1: and Zandiaz, but it's much smaller. When you invite a
- 12:34Speaker 1: thousand people, one fool is going to break the rules,
- 12:37Speaker 1: but I think there's only like fifteen, maybe twenty people.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I love that it is finally confirmed. Her style is
- 12:43Speaker 1: broke the news. First I was told that it was
- 12:46Speaker 1: all planned. Law did it, but he wouldn't have done
- 12:49Speaker 1: it without her permission. He's not going to lose his
- 12:51Speaker 1: no try and and he loves Sorr, He genuinely loves her.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I think they decided like if Law leaked it, then
- 12:57Speaker 1: it would be funny, and then it gets out without
- 12:59Speaker 1: them confirming it. So yes, they did get married. And
- 13:01Speaker 1: now we even have a venue, a beautiful stately home
- 13:04Speaker 1: which is a hotel in Britain. Okay, moving along, This
- 13:08Speaker 1: is some really interesting dish. Britney Spears. Remember when she
- 13:11Speaker 1: was with Justin Timberlake. Yeah, yeah, the most beautiful couple
- 13:14Speaker 1: in the world. We rooted for them. Now we're finding
- 13:17Speaker 1: out something a bit shady about Justin. How you dumped it?
- 13:21Speaker 1: What am I talking?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, well it was not the first time we've heard
- 13:23Speaker 2: that he was sort of like, not the nicest gentleman
- 13:25Speaker 2: when it comes to women. So more than two decades later,
- 13:28Speaker 2: of course, after one of the most heartbroaken moments in
- 13:31Speaker 2: pop music romances, music video director Chris Applebaum has revealed
- 13:36Speaker 2: that Britney Spears received a text from Justin Timberlake and
- 13:40Speaker 2: it just said it just said it's over.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Now.
- 13:44Speaker 2: This happened during the filming of her over Protected video
- 13:47Speaker 2: in twenty oh two. So two thousand and two, she's
- 13:50Speaker 2: making her video and she's like, thinks everything is fine
- 13:53Speaker 2: in her relationship and Justin just out of the blue
- 13:55Speaker 2: texts her it's over. So she retreats to her trailer.
- 13:59Speaker 2: She's in tears, she's crying, and eventually she does return
- 14:02Speaker 2: to the set after the director Applebaum encouraged her to
- 14:05Speaker 2: channel all that heartbreak into the performance. Of course, he
- 14:09Speaker 2: was like, girl, I gotta get this video done.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I could care less about your foolishness. Yes, I always
- 14:15Speaker 1: say anything to get her that set.
- 14:17Speaker 2: But he did talk her out of the trailer and
- 14:19Speaker 2: got her back on set, and it's a great video.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:21Speaker 2: It went on to do for Cell Records. But years later,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Brittany confirmed in her memoir that you know, Timberlake had
- 14:26Speaker 2: ended their three year relationship just with these two words.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's over awful.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know you and I talked before about
- 14:35Speaker 2: getting dumped like in awkward ways, and I got dumped
- 14:37Speaker 2: by voicemail. So it happens to the best of us. Honey,
- 14:41Speaker 2: voicemail back in the answering machine.
- 14:43Speaker 1: The most humiliated time that I was dumped as at
- 14:48Speaker 1: University of Edinburgh. Yeah, and I said to this guy,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I saw this guy ghosted me. And this was before
- 14:54Speaker 1: self ghost was really aggressive ghost for me to notice.
- 14:58Speaker 1: And I talked up to him. My eyes strutched over
- 15:02Speaker 1: like a peacock and I said, how dare you dumped me?
- 15:04Speaker 1: And I said dump you. I didn't know we were
- 15:06Speaker 1: dating a oh my gosh. Oh. My friends laughed in
- 15:13Speaker 1: my face. That's bad there. We didn't even don't mix.
- 15:20Speaker 1: It didn't know we were together. Wow, very rude. I
- 15:24Speaker 1: remember his name too. We should get we should we
- 15:27Speaker 1: should call him up in Edinburgh, go and ask him
- 15:29Speaker 1: to explain himself. Okay, we're gonna take it quick, quick bake.
- 15:33Speaker 1: We would be right back. Welcome back to the naughty
- 15:39Speaker 1: but Nice your house, Rob Shooter. Hey, don't forget to
- 15:42Speaker 1: vote on today's poll. Get x page at Twitter page
- 15:44Speaker 1: at Naughty Nice Robber Facebook page Nordy Gossip and be
- 15:47Speaker 1: sure I'll get this right to check back on Monday,
- 15:50Speaker 1: not tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's time
- 15:55Speaker 1: for a nicest today.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Although I'm still crying from Rob's story earlier, I'm not
- 16:02Speaker 2: a teary eye anyway. But Angelina Jolie's brother James Haven
- 16:07Speaker 2: comes out as gay. He says, I'm tired of dimming
- 16:10Speaker 2: my light. Her brother James Now he's finally just saying.
- 16:14Speaker 2: He's openly admitting it after years of hiding himself and
- 16:18Speaker 2: during her life appearance on ex wife romy M Bellie's Substack,
- 16:23Speaker 2: Haven revealed that he shared his truth after the pair
- 16:25Speaker 2: reconnected following their split. Now reading a very deeply personal letter,
- 16:30Speaker 2: he said he was tired of dimming my light and
- 16:32Speaker 2: wanted to embrace his authentic self. He is, of course
- 16:34Speaker 2: the son of John Voight as well, and he described
- 16:37Speaker 2: the moment as one of the most freeing and accepting moments,
- 16:40Speaker 2: with Embelli offering her support and for Haven, this wasn't
- 16:42Speaker 2: about headlines, he says, it was about finally just telling
- 16:45Speaker 2: his own story. So I commend him on his coming
- 16:48Speaker 2: out and living his most authentic self.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that he looks just like Angelina. That's what's so
- 16:55Speaker 1: interesting about the story is you look at their relationship
- 16:57Speaker 1: together and how unconventional they are, how they seem to
- 17:01Speaker 1: march to the beat of their own drum, which some
- 17:03Speaker 1: people have said is creepy. I think it's sort of charming.
- 17:07Speaker 1: But even somebody who was that cool, even somebody who
- 17:11Speaker 1: has a sister who's Angelina Jolie, one of the coolest
- 17:13Speaker 1: people in the world, had trouble coming out. It's really
- 17:17Speaker 1: not easy. Cory's You've come out the closet. I've come
- 17:20Speaker 1: out the closet. We've had friends that have done this.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I hope it's getting easier for younger generations to do it,
- 17:25Speaker 1: but never ever think that it's just an easy thing.
- 17:28Speaker 1: To do, even when you were surrounded by people like
- 17:32Speaker 1: Angelina Jo Lee. A lot of people live lives that
- 17:37Speaker 1: are not true. I'm so happy for him. Hey, welcome
- 17:40Speaker 1: to the club, my friend. And now Miss North Carolina
- 17:47Speaker 1: has been stripped of her title allegedly using a racist slur.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I did not even know these pageants were still on,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but Miss North Carolina has been kicked out of the
- 17:59Speaker 1: of her title. The runner up has now got the award.
- 18:01Speaker 1: We're not going to eat some of the hateful things
- 18:03Speaker 1: she said, but they're are pretty awful, racist, homophobic, transphobic.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So the boxes that she ticked, every one of the boxes.
- 18:13Speaker 1: And was so stupid to think she could say this
- 18:15Speaker 1: stuff and then nobody would find out. As our friend
- 18:19Speaker 1: Wendy Williams used to say, say it like you mean it,
- 18:22Speaker 1: even if it's ugly, you said it, you meant it,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and now there is a consequence for it, and naughtyus
- 18:32Speaker 1: of the day. Let's an with a moment of the
- 18:36Speaker 1: fastest way to grow is to become friends with people
- 18:41Speaker 1: who think bigger than you. It's hard to do because
- 18:43Speaker 1: it can be challenging, but the people around you they
- 18:46Speaker 1: shape who you are. So if you're Cirtle thinks small,
- 18:51Speaker 1: You're going to shrink. Your dreams are gonna shrink. If
- 18:54Speaker 1: you seek people who think big, who ask great questions,
- 18:57Speaker 1: who inspire bigger action than your life is going to expand.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So start new conversations, introduce yourself, be curious, listen more
- 19:06Speaker 1: when people speak. That's the challenge for me to shut
- 19:09Speaker 1: up and to listen, because every meaningful opportunity begins with
- 19:13Speaker 1: a conversation. Yes, and every conversation has the power to
- 19:17Speaker 1: expand your life. So once again, surround yourself with people
- 19:23Speaker 1: who think big, not small. I've always liked really interesting people.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Even at school, I wasn't the leader of my gang.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I was the bottom of the totem pole in a
- 19:37Speaker 1: much smarter gang. I always punched up and that has
- 19:41Speaker 1: made me, I think, successful today. So if you want
- 19:45Speaker 1: to expand your life, and you might not want to,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I get it. It's very easy to be comfortable. In fact,
- 19:49Speaker 1: it's sometimes the best decision. You have to make that decision,
- 19:52Speaker 1: but it takes a little bit of courage to hang
- 19:54Speaker 1: out with people who challenge you. I've got this new
- 19:57Speaker 1: project I'm working on, and boy, my ego has been
- 20:00Speaker 1: hurt already in just a couple of days because I've
- 20:03Speaker 1: been pushed to be better and it did get better.
- 20:06Speaker 1: So I tipped my hats to these people. But it
- 20:09Speaker 1: has been a challenger. I've had to find a little
- 20:11Speaker 1: bit of courage. You can find that courage too. Hey,
- 20:14Speaker 1: that is it for this week. I was preaching there.
- 20:17Speaker 1: That's it for this week. Thank you so much for
- 20:19Speaker 1: listening to the Naughty but Nice with Robin Cory show.

- 20:36Speaker 1: together now, if you're going to be naughty, you've got
- 20:42Speaker 1: to be nice with Bra
