- 0:28Hello and welcome to this week's episode of Spunky Spirit. I am psychic
- 0:32medium Carrie Mugs, and today we are going to talk about finding living a
- 0:36magical life, so finding the magic in every moment or in each day,
- 0:42because I do know that a lot of people who've been reaching out, or
- 0:46a lot of people who've been watching Carry connects have kind of been like,
- 0:50it's so hard right now, It's just a lot of chaos. And so
- 0:54I feel like I feel like life is always like that, right I feel
- 0:58like we always think, well, when this happens, will get better or
- 1:00things will come down when and I was just talking to my husband the other
- 1:03night and he was like, that's We've always kind of just been like,
- 1:07well, it should come down this time, or it should be when this
- 1:10happens, things will come down, and it's never like that. It's always
- 1:12a little bit chaotic. So I think the trick is is to find the
- 1:18magic in each day and find the magic in each moment, even if it's
- 1:23chaotic or stressful or which I know can be hard. And this is not
- 1:27toxic positivity. I'm not saying be one hundred percent happy all the time,
- 1:32but just know that life is hard. Life can be hard sometimes, and
- 1:34you can't have the good without the bad, right, And so even in
- 1:38the bad moments, though, you can find a silver lining, or you
- 1:42can find something to be grateful for or something to be grateful about. And
- 1:49that doesn't mean we're going to talk about this too, because I know there's
- 1:53sometimes What I really want to get across is that you always have to process
- 1:57the feelings and the emotions come with the everyday staff, right. I want
- 2:01you to do that, but I also want you to find the silver linings.
- 2:06I also want you to kind of find gratitude in things, or gratitude
- 2:12and happiness. It doesn't mean you can't feel the emotions that you're going through.
- 2:16It doesn't mean that shit isn't hard, right, It just means that
- 2:22how you react to it or how you come through it is so important.
- 2:25And to find the little blessings or the little magic in each instant or in
- 2:30each circumstance. So number one, these are going to be simple, not
- 2:36simple, but these are going to be ways to find or to find magic
- 2:40in each day or in your life. So Number one is to be a
- 2:46good person. I've always I used to work at snowst magazine and I worked
- 2:52with a lady. She was awesome, and she always just said she just
- 2:55believed. She's the first one that kind of taught me about manifestation. And
- 3:00she said, you just get what you put out there. So if you
- 3:01are a good person and you put good things out there, you're going to
- 3:06receive that back, not one hundred percent, not all the time, because
- 3:08life is going to happen and life Earth can be hard. Earth life can
- 3:14be hard sometimes, but the majority of you get back what you put out
- 3:19there. So what you put out there, you get back. And what
- 3:23I mean by putting out there is is how be a good person, be
- 3:28a good person to others. And sometimes and I know we're kind of taught
- 3:32in a world that we have to help others all the time, or we
- 3:36feel bad if we don't help others or we have to give, give,
- 3:38give, Sometimes you don't have enough to give, and that's okay. There's
- 3:42a season to everything. There's a season too when you have enough energy and
- 3:46time and money to give, and there's a season when you might not,
- 3:49and you might need to get help from other people. But right now or
- 3:55in any time, you can always be a good person. You can always
- 3:59be a good person, and you always So this whole thing of you get
- 4:04what you put out there is really really important to me because karma is not
- 4:11a revengeful law. It's not something that's like, oh, they're going to
- 4:15get their Karma is a universal law and it just means what you put out
- 4:19there, you're going to receive. So if you keep putting out there complaints
- 4:26and everything that's bad about your life, and you keep talking about it and
- 4:30dwelling on it, you're going to get that back. And if you are
- 4:34bad to people or mean to people, you're going to get that back to
- 4:39you. So of course, if you have that focus of being rude to
- 4:43people and always being mad about something or always find something to be mad about,
- 4:47you're going to get that back. Because we've always talked about that it's
- 4:50part of manifesting. Manifesting, it's part of that alignment. Right. So,
- 4:58like I've taught before, if you put a good two guitars together and
- 5:00you put them on a table and on one card, one guitar you pick
- 5:06at the g string at the other guitar is going that g string is going
- 5:12to vibrate. So it's basically that guitar is receiving what it puts out there.
- 5:16So that's kind of how you are. You're going to get what you
- 5:20put out there. And so if you put bad, bad, chaotic,
- 5:25mean things out there and you're rude to people all the time, you're going
- 5:27to get that back. That's just the way the universe works. That's just
- 5:30how it is. So be a good person all the time, Like you
- 5:34don't always have to. You can stand up for yourself and you can have
- 5:38boundaries, but you can also be a good person. Boundaries doesn't mean you
- 5:42get to either be bad or good, or you get to be mean or
- 5:46nice. There can always be an in between. So be a good person.
- 5:50That's the number one thing to finding magic, because if you want to
- 5:55find magic in your everyday life, you got to put it out there,
- 5:58So you got to just and hope for you got a hope for it,
- 6:00and know that it's coming, and so be a good person. Number two
- 6:05is stay away from those who aren't and so stay away from the people who
- 6:12are always always complaining. Stay away from the people who are always mean or
- 6:15treating you crappy. Stay away from those people. You can build those boundaries,
- 6:20like you don't always have to be around them. And this is that
- 6:24fine line, right, like you can still be a good person and still
- 6:27put good things out there, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice yourself
- 6:31to be there for somebody else. If somebody else is not nice and somebody
- 6:34else is not treating you very well, or if somebody else complains continuously or
- 6:40all the time, you don't have to pee. You don't have to be
- 6:43around that person. So just kind of watch that, just kind of build
- 6:47those boundaries, and you can you can send send them love from a distance,
- 6:54send them white light from a distance, send them love from a distance,
- 6:57but you don't have to be around them all the time. And if
- 6:59you are around them, you can protect yourself because if it's in a situation
- 7:02where you have to be and you don't have a choice that you have to
- 7:04you can be around them, you have to be around them. Then kind
- 7:09of create some boundaries, create your own boundaries, create your own protection.
- 7:13Wear termuli necklaces or bracelets, do white light around you, do a cloak
- 7:19on or cloak off kind of meditation where you can surround yourself with protection.
- 7:25But so try and stay away from those people who always just bring you down
- 7:30or who always drain your energy, because because when you're always in that constant
- 7:36negativity or that constant frequency, that it's hard to find the good in things.
- 7:42It's hard to find what to be grateful for and or what to be
- 7:47happy about. So if it's constant negativity, you got to like tweak that
- 7:53somehow and tweak that. You don't have to be around that all the time.
- 7:56Number three is focus on the little things. It doesn't always have to
- 8:00be super complex. It doesn't always have to be like super big. It
- 8:03can be the little things that bring you joy. It can be a cup
- 8:07of coffee in the morning. Simplicity is like magic is simplicity. We think
- 8:13that we have to have like all these spells or all these ways to make
- 8:18it happen, or like to connect a spirit that we have to like have
- 8:20this training and all this stuff, and sometimes that helps, but honestly,
- 8:24it's really in the simplicity. It just you have to keep it simple.
- 8:28Connection to the divine or connection to your loved ones is simple. You just
- 8:33find a place, relax and start talking to them. It's simple. And
- 8:37so this is in your life. Find the simplicity in your life. Find
- 8:41the simple things what brings you? What are the simple things that bring you
- 8:45joy? Is it your grandchild or your child laughing? Is it you laughing?
- 8:50Is it you watching a stupid sitcom every night and laughing? Is it
- 8:54the cup of coffee in the morning, Is its sitting outside in your backyard?
- 8:58What brings you joy? And try and incorporate that each day in your
- 9:03life. Make it simple. It doesn't have to be big. It doesn't
- 9:05have to be a yacht on the riviera or a big, huge and wonderful
- 9:11you know, grand hotel that I mean, those things are great, and
- 9:15those things are awesome, but so are the simple little things. And sometimes
- 9:18the things that bring us the most joy or the simple the simple things that
- 9:24we kind of look past or we kind of take for granted. So kind
- 9:28of look every day for the simple things and have gratitude for them, say
- 9:31thank you for them, even if it's just, Oh, the other day,
- 9:35like I can't have I love cats, but I can't have any because
- 9:41my grandkids are allergic to them. And the other day a cat just came
- 9:43in my backyard and the simplicity of just petting that cat for an hour was
- 9:48amazing. So just little tiny things that just bring you pleasure, bring you
- 9:52joy. I find those those things are magical. That's where the magic is.
- 9:56And I have said this before. The Native Americans believe that everything that
- 10:01happens to you has some meaning in it, or has some some magic in
- 10:07it, or means or sign in it. And I don't know if everything
- 10:11does, but I do believe that coincidences aren't real. I believe that coincidences
- 10:16are something that's happening for a reason. So the next one, number four,
- 10:22be authentic, be you. You cannot find magic when you're pretending to
- 10:28be somebody that you're not. You cannot be happy in a moment where you're
- 10:31trying to be like somebody else. You cannot find the magic in the moment
- 10:35if you're trying to hide who you truly are, or be who you truly
- 10:41are, and and hide your shine. That's if you're trying to to dim
- 10:46your sparkle or height or dim your shine, then it's going to make it
- 10:48so it's miserable. You're going to be miserable. So if you want to
- 10:54be authentically you and you want to find the magic, you need to find
- 10:56those people who accept you for who you are. Now that doesn't mean you
- 11:01can be rude or you can be overbearing to people. You still have to
- 11:05let people have their boundaries. You have to let if if if you're too
- 11:07much for people, then find other people that that don't that you're not too
- 11:13much for, but don't don't hurt other people's boundaries either. Does that make
- 11:18sense? You're gonna if you're authentically you, you're going to find your people.
- 11:22You're going to find the people who who accept you for who you are
- 11:26and find the people who don't think you're too much or too less. So
- 11:31find those people or and be authentically you. Once you become authentically you and
- 11:35you you be true to who you are, then you're you're going to find
- 11:41those people. It's like a magnet. You're gonna be aligned with the universe
- 11:43and they're gonna come to you. Okay. Number five, don't fear happiness
- 11:50like we This is kind of like self sabotage, right. I remember one
- 11:56time when I was had four kids and we were living in Utah, and
- 12:05I remember we saved and saved and saved for these couches and we lived in
- 12:09a rental and they didn't even go with the decor nothing. But I love
- 12:15these couches so much, and we bought them, and I remember thinking the
- 12:18first day we had them, I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm not
- 12:20even going to be something bad's going to happen to them either, the kids
- 12:24are going to spill something on them. We're not even to be able to
- 12:26enjoy them. And then I just thought, you know what, I am
- 12:30fearing Like I always had this thing that if something's going to if something is
- 12:35going right, if everything's going right, something's going to happen because this can't
- 12:37last, This can't last all the time. And I created, I manifested
- 12:43the bad things to come because I thought, oh, life is too good.
- 12:46Life is too good because I just bought couches, Like really, like
- 12:50that's crazy to me now that I think about it, but I just thought,
- 12:52oh my gosh, Like, but it was cool that the couch has
- 12:56brought me happiness, right, I mean, it's something that I enjoyed.
- 13:01It's something that I wanted, and it's something that I strived for that I
- 13:05wanted, and so it was cool that I found the magic and the couches,
- 13:09but it was sad that I was afraid that it wasn't going to last.
- 13:11And so don't fear happiness, don't fear success. Let that go,
- 13:16like, just let it happen. Enjoy the journey, enjoy the enjoy the
- 13:20journey, enjoy what you're experiencing, and try and find peace in what you're
- 13:26experiencing and not always look for a better way. I mean, it's good
- 13:30to have goals and it's good to have, you know, to look forward
- 13:33to things, but also it's the journey is what's most important. So always
- 13:37enjoy the journey. And then I think it's number six. Stay positive.
- 13:41Now this isn't like toxic positivity. If there's a problem, fix it.
- 13:46If there's something going wrong, try and fix it. Don't like pretend it's
- 13:50not happening and be like, oh everything is going to be just fine.
- 13:54Try and fix the problem. That's the thing I always told my kids.
- 13:56It's not that you're ignoring the problem. If you are ignoring the problem,
- 14:01if you're just like, oh, it's gonna be fine, and you pretend
- 14:03it's not happening. And so this is not toxic positivity. This isn't like,
- 14:09Okay, I'm having these issues at work, but I'm just gonna go
- 14:11in there and pretend everything is fine. One, you're not being authentically you.
- 14:16Two, it is toxic positivity. You got to feel those emotions,
- 14:20you got to deal with those problems, and you got to try and fix
- 14:22them. Because I always told my kids that if you complain about it,
- 14:26you can fix it. Everything is figure outable. And my kids are always
- 14:31like, no, sir, you can't fix if you have a crappy job,
- 14:33And I'm like, yes you can. You're afraid to fix it,
- 14:35but you can fix it. You can leave that job, you have that
- 14:39choice. But one of my kids did say, well, you can't fix
- 14:43death, and that is one thing you can't fix, but you can fix
- 14:48how to grieve. No, you can't fix how to grieve because you want
- 14:50to grieve in your own way and you want to be authentic when you grieve,
- 14:54But how you react to a loss is all of it to Because you
- 15:01can react by staying home, being depressed, not living out your life the
- 15:05way they would want you to, turning to drugs and alcohol, turning to
- 15:11those kind of things, or you can grieve and grieve the loss and go
- 15:16through those emotions and go through counseling and try to figure out how to move
- 15:22forward. So there's always something you can do to make it better, always,
- 15:28just you don't have to. The way you think it might be better
- 15:31is to have that loss come back, and that's not always true. You
- 15:33have to learn to accept it and move forward, or you can dwell in
- 15:39it. And I know that's kind of harsh, but that's kind of how
- 15:43it is. But if you take a long time degrieve, that's okay too.
- 15:46You grieve how you want to because you have to be authentically you,
- 15:48but always try to find the gratitude and things. Try and be aware of
- 15:54that person or that thing that you loss that you lost and try to celebrate
- 16:00that person in the way that you can, or that thing that you lost.
- 16:03So if you can complain about it, if you complain about it,
- 16:07you can change it. You may not like how to change it, which
- 16:11maybe you might have to get out of the relationship, you may have to
- 16:15get out of the job. The only thing you can't really change is if
- 16:19you're a mother of small children. You can't change. You can't change,
- 16:26but you kind of can. You can kind of change how you deal with
- 16:29them or how your perception of them is, or how if you have a
- 16:33problem instead of just dealing with it, you can try and fix it.
- 16:37You can try and say, Okay, this is how I'm going to try
- 16:40it tomorrow, or this is how I'm going to try it the next day.
- 16:42So if you complain about something, you can figure out how to fix
- 16:45it some way or another. But if you can't, if you feel like
- 16:49you can't fix it, then you have to change your perception of it,
- 16:52right because you have to live in your choices. So if you decide not
- 16:56to change it, or you decide to just live in your choices, then
- 17:00you've got to change your perception. Okay, So that's the stay positive.
- 17:04So just kind of stay positive about your life and stay find the simple things,
- 17:10even if there's like some things that are hard, find the simple things
- 17:12in each moment. Find the simple things that you can be grateful for even
- 17:15if it's just for a cat that comes and visits you in your backyard.
- 17:19Just be grateful, even if it's just like flowers that you saw that day.
- 17:22Something that you can find that simple, and because those are magical.
- 17:26Those may seem ordinary, but they're magical. They're magical moments, right,
- 17:30And sometimes those magical moments are your ancestors and your guides, bringing happiness to
- 17:37you or simplicity to you in a time that's really really hard. So the
- 17:41next one is to work. Find something that you love, find something that
- 17:48you like to do. And this is not selfish, and this is not
- 17:52I know some of you are like, well, I got to wait till
- 17:53the kids grow up, or I've got to don't wait for you to be
- 17:57you. Don't wait for you to find happiness in something or to find joy
- 18:02in something, because it can be simple, it can be super simple.
- 18:04You can find joy in eating a piece of chocolate in the morning before the
- 18:10kids wake up. You can find joy in drinking a cup of coffee every
- 18:14morning, your favorite kind. You can find joy in watching or listening to
- 18:19one of your guilty pleasure of your sitcoms at night when the kids go to
- 18:22sleep or when you're by yourself. But find something that you love, and
- 18:27that's not really work. Now, the work is when you work work.
- 18:30And I know, I don't really believe in the well. I do believe
- 18:37in keeping things simple, but I don't believe in working so hard that you
- 18:41work yourself to death. Like I believe that there is a fine line between
- 18:48work hard and work smart. And I feel like that once you kind of
- 18:53but I do feel like that doing work brings you accomplishment and bring you a
- 19:00feeling of accomplishment, brings you of a feeling of pleasure because and like meeting
- 19:07your goals. So I guess work would mostly be like not maybe on nine
- 19:11to five, but having goals and a purpose and working towards that, because
- 19:15when you're kind of in a stagnant state, then you're not growing, you're
- 19:19not moving and so and that's when you're kind of in limbo. But when
- 19:23you're moving forward for something and you kind of know what you want, then
- 19:27that's growth and that's work. And so that's what I would consider work.
- 19:33So find something to work forward, to work towards, because that brings you
- 19:36purpose and brings you pleasure. And the last one would be be aware.
- 19:41Be aware of what's going on around you, because there's so many times that
- 19:45your loved ones and your ancestors and your guides reach out to you and do
- 19:51things like give you signs and symbols, and we just don't see them because
- 19:53we're so busy in the chaos and we're so busy in the craziness each day
- 20:00that we don't see the signs. And so start maybe meditating a little bit.
- 20:04It doesn't have to be it can be moving, meditation, dancing,
- 20:08it could be something. But find something that helps you be aware of what's
- 20:12going on around you, because you could have a super chaotic moment. I
- 20:17remember my grandma came to visit me when I was taking care of my first
- 20:21baby, my first daughter, and it was chaotic. She was so so
- 20:25collicky. I can't even believe I had other kids because she was so hard.
- 20:27I remember sitting in the rocking chair, Oh my gosh, just like
- 20:32rocking her and she was crying and I was crying, and it was like
- 20:34NonStop because she would cry in her sleep too. So my grandma came to
- 20:37help and it was one of those moments where she was crying. I was
- 20:42crying. My grandma was like, what do I do? And all of
- 20:45a sudden, all of a sudden, one of my baby's toys, one
- 20:49of her little toys, like it was like a little musical thing, started
- 20:53to play, and all of a sudden, she just the baby started looking
- 20:59and she stopped. For just like a brief moment, she stopped crying,
- 21:03and for like five minutes, we just listened to this little theme play.
- 21:07And my grandma looked at me and she said, you know, that's my
- 21:11mom And I said, I know a lot of people would have just was
- 21:15like, oh my gosh, that was crazy, that was weird. But
- 21:18we knew in the moment that we were. It was hard. It was
- 21:26a hard moment, and we knew we were just like making it every second
- 21:30right, like you take every minute, just try and get through it.
- 21:33Sometimes and that little moment we could have missed it. We could have thought,
- 21:40oh, that was just that toy, that toy is just being stupid,
- 21:42but we knew, we knew that it was my grandma, my great
- 21:47grandmother coming through and helping us and taking and giving us just peace for five
- 21:52minutes. And so be aware, be aware of the little things in the
- 21:56chaos, and that's when they come most of the time. Like one time,
- 22:00you've heard me tell the story about how I put up all the Christmas
- 22:04lights and put everything up, and I put up my Christmas tree and I
- 22:08didn't check the lights before I put them all and I plugged it in and
- 22:11I had four li thet kids running around and I was just trying to get
- 22:14a Christmas and I said, Dad, the Christmas lights didn't work on the
- 22:18tree. Half of them didn't work. And I said, Dad, if
- 22:19you want to give me anything for my birthday, please let the Christmas lights
- 22:23work. And the next morning they did. So just little things. If
- 22:27you're running around and having a moment with the kids and you get in the
- 22:32car and a certain song comes on and you know what belongs to someone you've
- 22:37lost then, or you know that someone you've lost is sending you a sign
- 22:41or sending you that moment, then just breathe, breathe in that moment,
- 22:47so be aware, be aware of what's going on, because so many times
- 22:52the spirit world reaches out to us and lets us know that there is magic
- 22:56in every single day. We are magic. The magic's already inside of you.
- 22:59You guys out all the time. So just be you and try and
- 23:04try and just get through this journey and be a good person. And it's
- 23:10all pretty self explanatory. But sometimes we get so caught up in the chaos
- 23:12and so caught up in the mess, and so caught up in the stress
- 23:15that we just don't see the simple things, or we don't see the little
- 23:18things, and those are the things that are magic, that are magical every
- 23:23single day of your life. So I really hope that helps you, guys.
- 23:27Magic isn't complex, it's not done in a certain way. It's just
- 23:32you. It's who you are, it's what you create, and you create
- 23:36the magic. So remember you have everything you need already inside of you.
- 23:41And I love you guys so much. And I have so much coming up.
