A former grants accounting manager for Fayette County Public Schools is suing the district and superintendent, alleging she was retaliated against for reporting suspected financial misconduct. She claims she was warned she had a “target on her back,” reassigned without explanation to a new role where she uncovered millions in unprocessed tax checks, and later terminated just days after meeting with the superintendent.
