  SPEAKER_00: I love the last lines of the Gospel that we have today.

  SPEAKER_00: Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins?

  SPEAKER_00: You're not one of them that's escaped the notice of God.

  SPEAKER_00: Even the hairs of your head have all been counted.

  SPEAKER_00: Do not be afraid.

  SPEAKER_00: You are worth more than many sparrows.

  SPEAKER_00: And I think it's easy today if you watch the news or are at all around our culture

  SPEAKER_00: and you see all sorts of troubling,

  SPEAKER_00: difficult things or things that could cause us to worry or fear or fall into any

  SPEAKER_00: of those things.

  SPEAKER_00: It's easy to forget the need that we have to trust in God and what God is asking of us.

  SPEAKER_00: It's easy to trust other things.

  SPEAKER_00: And I know people who,

  SPEAKER_00: for instance,

  SPEAKER_00: will sort of fill their basements with food or do all those sorts of things.

  SPEAKER_00: And the fact is, there's nothing that we can do to save ourselves.

  SPEAKER_00: As they say, no one gets out alive, right?

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, we can do certain things to prevent certain things.

  SPEAKER_00: We can, you know, try to head off certain things.

  SPEAKER_00: And at the end of the day, we're all going to die and we're all going to be with God.

  SPEAKER_00: And so if you are a materialist person,

  SPEAKER_00: it's a terrible thing because you don't believe that there's anything else.

  SPEAKER_00: It's just this life and it's a terrible,
• 1:15
  SPEAKER_00: you know,

  SPEAKER_00: sort of horrible suffering with like a few lights in it and then it's all
• 1:19
  SPEAKER_00: for nothing.

  SPEAKER_00: But if you are a Christian and if you have our horizon, Then it doesn't matter.

  SPEAKER_00: All of those things don't matter.

  SPEAKER_00: We don't have to worry about them.

  SPEAKER_00: We don't have to build our lives around those.

  SPEAKER_00: We don't have to make that the center of our existence.

  SPEAKER_00: And we can focus on trusting in God.

  SPEAKER_00: And he is going to help us and give us what we need every day.

  SPEAKER_00: And it is amazing.

  SPEAKER_00: It's amazing when you trust in Christ the way that he makes things work out.

  SPEAKER_00: That doesn't mean you're not going to have suffering.

  SPEAKER_00: Doesn't mean you're not going to have pain.

  SPEAKER_00: Doesn't mean it's not going to be difficult,

  SPEAKER_00: but he gives us this transcendence,

  SPEAKER_00: Why not do something to remember and remind yourself of the need that we have

  SPEAKER_00: to trust in God,

  SPEAKER_00: to put everything into his hand, not to walk blindly, but to walk trusting in him.
