- 0:29I Hate Talking: Welcome to episode 18 of I Hate Talking.
- 0:33I Hate Talking: Hi everyone.
- 0:34I Hate Talking: So we have since completed our 3 part miniseries on money and money dysmorphia and a variety of things that we've talked about.
- 0:44I Hate Talking: So we are going to be moving on to new topics, but before we do, we have our word or phrase of the episode, and our word or phrase of today's episode is toxic, toxic.
- 0:58I Hate Talking: Oh.
- 0:59I Hate Talking: I wonder which way you're gonna go with this.
- 1:02I Hate Talking: Well, there's a lot of different ways we could go with this because uh toxic can refer to, I think typically the adjective where it is describing something that is poisonous, uh, or something that's very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way, according to the Oxford Dictionary.
- 1:23I Hate Talking: Uh, it actually also can be used in terms of a noun where the noun means poisonous substances.
- 1:31I Hate Talking: And I think what you are alluding to in terms of the ways that uh we could go with that particular word, or maybe this word won't even be related to the topic that we discussed today, you'll have to continue listening.
- 1:43I Hate Talking: But uh I think that you are referring to perhaps uh that it could be used in terms of like toxic masculinity or toxic relationships or even uh as a callback to our previous episodes, toxic debt.
- 1:59I Hate Talking: Yeah, definitely.
- 2:00I Hate Talking: I think nowadays in culture, that's a very big buzzword or just a word that's used and thrown around a lot for something that either is really toxic, like poisonous and dangerous, or just for something that we don't like, that's hurting our lifestyle or hurting the way we want to live.
- 2:19I Hate Talking: So that is our word or phrase of the episode, toxic, uh, as it relates to poisonous, poisonous substances or something that's very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way.
- 2:34I Hate Talking: So before we go on to our topic, we're gonna do something that I think uh many podcasts do and that is invite you to share this episode or share a previous episode that you've enjoyed with your friends and family, and be sure to go on there, like, comment, uh, do all the things uh that helps us continue to grow on uh the variety of platforms that we're listed on.
- 2:58I Hate Talking: So, uh, a plug there for our own podcast.
- 3:02I Hate Talking: I hate talking.
- 3:03I Hate Talking: Yes, please do.
- 3:06I Hate Talking: Before we had a podcast, I didn't really understand the importance of just even hitting that star button, 5 stars or especially doing reviews.
- 3:17I Hate Talking: All that takes just a quick second and uh really helps us out and helps other people find our podcast.
- 3:24I Hate Talking: So we are gonna be talking about something that I think is As a society, uh, pretty well accepted within our culture here in the United States.
- 3:36I Hate Talking: Uh, we are going to be talking about a certain substance that people enjoy, uh, but that it potentially has some negative effects.
- 3:45I Hate Talking: Um, this particular thing that we have in mind, uh, can be enjoyed at any time of the day, but there is a certain time of day that typically people are going to partake.
- 3:54I Hate Talking: It can be made in a whole host of different ways and it can be enjoyed socially and it's actually uh socially acceptable to gather to enjoy this particular thing uh at local businesses that sell this as well as uh potentially partaking alone, um, and there's many different, uh, ways that you can do this yourself even, um, but on to the negative effects of this particular thing.
- 4:23I Hate Talking: Uh, it can cause sleep problems.
- 4:26I Hate Talking: So this particular thing can cause issues with falling asleep, uh, good sleep, those type of things.
- 4:33I Hate Talking: It can have effects on your nervous system, it can cause anxiety, irritability, and restlessness.
- 4:39I Hate Talking: It even can have effects on your organs.
- 4:42I Hate Talking: Uh, one of the examples is heart effects, it can raise your heart rate, blood pressure, and even make your heart beat unevenly.
- 4:49I Hate Talking: Uh, this also can have impacts on your digestive system with regards to causing heartburn or stomach problems, um, and actually, uh, causes some imbalance in your pH within your body.
- 5:05I Hate Talking: Uh, it can cause headaches, dizziness, muscle tremors, frequent urination and dehydration.
- 5:10I Hate Talking: And if you don't partake of these things, it actually can cause withdrawal, uh, where you would get a headache or be nervous or have fatigue, uh, and it's highly recommended that uh people don't partake in this during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- 5:25I Hate Talking: And of course, I think our listeners as well as yourself know exactly what I'm talking about and that is.
- 5:31I Hate Talking: Alcohol Coffee.
- 5:34I Hate Talking: So I think probably a lot of our thoughts did go to the alcohol subject, uh, because I think a lot of those things that I read in more of a generic fashion are true for alcohol, but all those things that I just listed out are based on Mayo Clinics.
- 5:57I Hate Talking: Uh, article on the negative effects of coffee.
- 6:01I Hate Talking: Oh no, well.
- 6:02I Hate Talking: I I can do without alcohol, but I don't want to go without coffee.
- 6:09I Hate Talking: So I think I'm gonna not like this conversation.
- 6:12I Hate Talking: So it is interesting to note that uh the United States and really I think even the globe in general have accepted that caffeine and alcohol are the acceptable quote unquote drugs of choice that people partake in and uh both of those things I think have a really uh storied past and a uh long history um from the uh early days and Um, you know, perhaps, uh, for some cultures you might swap in tea versus coffee, but still the, uh, the root effect of caffeine being what is being seek after.
- 6:52I Hate Talking: So, uh, indeed, I think that, uh, we can perhaps consider, uh, the intake of alcohol but also the intake of caffeine in terms of how it impacts our health and well-being.
- 7:06I Hate Talking: We, uh, I think do drink coffee on the regular.
- 7:10I Hate Talking: Uh, I think that there are a lot of people within the workplace, uh, that drink coffee, um, and that is again, something that's, uh, very socially acceptable and, uh, even had instances where if people don't drink coffee, it's sort of, um, an oddity.
- 7:27I Hate Talking: Yeah, um.
- 7:29I Hate Talking: You would know this, but I actually did not drink caffeine by choice.
- 7:34I Hate Talking: It was an intentional thing until after my first son was born.
- 7:39I Hate Talking: Um, if I had a soda, it was either a Sprite or like a root beer, I think usually doesn't have uh caffeine.
- 7:46I Hate Talking: And then they have like a diet decaf Coke.
- 7:50I Hate Talking: If I felt super crazy, it was a special occasion, I'd go to Starbucks and get a decaf, like Frappuccino, which does have a little caffeine in it.
- 7:59I Hate Talking: But, um, not as much as the regular, but it was a very intentional thing, and um people thought it was so odd that I didn't drink caffeine.
- 8:10I Hate Talking: So, could we even consider coffee then to be toxic?
- 8:15I Hate Talking: Yes, but I also wanna keep drinking it.
- 8:20I Hate Talking: And you mentioned another one in there that I think uh has some negative effects, which is your diet, caffeine soda.
- 8:31I Hate Talking: I love Diet Coke.
- 8:31I Hate Talking: Uh, so the, the aspartame, um, read some studies and, uh, those, uh, indicate that that actually creates a literal poison in your brain when your body breaks down, uh, those particular things that are used to sweeten that particular drink.
- 8:50I Hate Talking: Oh man.
- 8:51I Hate Talking: So quite literally a toxin, a neurotoxin even.
- 8:55I Hate Talking: So on to the next thing though that was mentioned, and that is alcohol and all its many different forms.
- 9:04I Hate Talking: We have actually just as of yesterday, completed.
- 9:10I Hate Talking: Our version of dry January, except we do it during July, so we call it dry July, which I actually think has a better ring to it anyway.
- 9:20I Hate Talking: And I did hear one, another time period, I guess that people skip the drink and that is sober October.
- 9:28I Hate Talking: That was actually the first time I've heard that today, but I guess people do that as well.
- 9:32I Hate Talking: Yeah, that was a good rain too.
- 9:34I Hate Talking: So, we have just finished our dry July, which we actually start on July 5th because we will typically and as is socially acceptable and even to some degree expected, uh, have a drink or two on the 4th of July, our independence Day here in America, and then uh move on from there and Basically, do not drink any alcohol from July 5th until July 31st.
- 10:03I Hate Talking: Yeah, it sounds crazy when people hear it, and maybe in the very beginning I was like, oh.
- 10:10I Hate Talking: We went on a date recently, had a babysitter.
- 10:13I Hate Talking: We're like, oh, we can't go to, what are we gonna do?
- 10:16I Hate Talking: It was at night, so we didn't want to get coffee.
- 10:19I Hate Talking: And we didn't really want, it wasn't dinner time.
- 10:24I Hate Talking: So, you know, like, normally we're like, oh, let's go get a glass of wine or a beer, but we couldn't.
- 10:29I Hate Talking: So I felt, we felt really limited on like, well, what can we get if we're not getting dinner?
- 10:35I Hate Talking: And you're not getting a beer.
- 10:37I Hate Talking: We ended up walking around our downtown and it was super sweet and I loved it, and I drank a glass of water.
- 10:44I Hate Talking: And so it was much cheaper also.
- 10:47I Hate Talking: Indeed, and I think uh we actually saw many people that were in that downtown area for the express purpose of drinking.
- 11:00I Hate Talking: So we were on the other end of the spectrum that evening.
- 11:04I Hate Talking: Yes, definitely.
- 11:05I Hate Talking: But also, I mean, So we intentionally do this cause we think it's healthy for our body and mind.
- 11:12I Hate Talking: Um, other people do it for other times or whatnot.
- 11:16I Hate Talking: But also, let's not forget, like for pregnancy, like every time I've been pregnant, I go over 9 months without any alcohol, and it's not hard.
- 11:24I Hate Talking: It's not like this burden that people are shocked about.
- 11:28I Hate Talking: So I don't know why it's expected to have a beer.
- 11:33I Hate Talking: Every time, unless you're pregnant, because if I was pregnant and had a beer.
- 11:38I Hate Talking: That'd be a huge faux pas, lots of people would get upset.
- 11:43I Hate Talking: Indeed, and I don't know exactly where that does come from, but it does seem that it is a social thing in terms of that, um, and I guess for in some ways, uh, if you are drinking socially, that is better, uh, and preferred over drinking alone because that is a sign of particular uh reliance on alcohol.
- 12:09I Hate Talking: Uh, as a coping mechanism perhaps, but, uh, yes, it does seem that it is socially acceptable and like we said, even expected to partake in alcohol.
- 12:21I Hate Talking: OK, so I definitely hesitate bringing this up.
- 12:24I Hate Talking: I feel like you're gonna hold me to it.
- 12:27I Hate Talking: But like, I No, I feel much better when I don't have.
- 12:34I Hate Talking: A beer or a glass of wine.
- 12:37I Hate Talking: Like, it definitely is enjoyable and and social situations with a friend, I enjoy it.
- 12:45I Hate Talking: But overall, I don't feel good when I drink that kind of stuff.
- 12:51I Hate Talking: So, I'm fine not doing it.
- 12:56I Hate Talking: And so, as you're listing off these things, I'm like, well, maybe I'd feel better if I didn't have caffeine.
- 13:04I Hate Talking: I did it for the first 28 years of my life, I could do it again, but.
- 13:10I Hate Talking: I still stick with that.
- 13:12I Hate Talking: I probably would feel better without caffeine.
- 13:14I Hate Talking: But I don't want to do it.
- 13:17I Hate Talking: And we did mention at the very start of the episode that there would be potential symptoms of withdrawal if you are skipping the caffeine.
- 13:28I Hate Talking: And uh I think that's also true if you're uh skipping the alcohol and are reliant on it to that degree that you would have some of those symptoms of withdrawal, which, uh, like we said, headache, nervousness, fatigue, uh, and things of that nature.
- 13:42I Hate Talking: So I think that, uh, perhaps, uh, Based on our level of consumption of coffee and caffeine, uh, we would probably experience some of those things.
- 13:52I Hate Talking: Right.
- 13:52I Hate Talking: Well, there was, remember, um, obviously when I'm pregnant or whatnot, I don't, can't drink.
- 13:57I Hate Talking: Caffeine, especially to, like you said, the level we do.
- 14:01I Hate Talking: Um, but there's a protocol that I would do that was vitamin C.
- 14:07I Hate Talking: When you're trying to get off caffeine, like I would take a couple of vitamin C every few hours, I'd have to look up the exact protocol.
- 14:15I Hate Talking: But, um, it actually helps with the like the headache.
- 14:20I Hate Talking: And all that, and it eases you out of it, um, pretty well.
- 14:25I Hate Talking: So I know I could do that, but it's just, I Love the flavor It is enjoyable.
- 14:33I Hate Talking: Indeed, and I think uh those things that you're gaining from the vitamin C in large doses, which supposedly you can't overdose on vitamin C, but if you do take a significant amount of vitamin C as a supplement, uh, it actually can increase your energy levels, uh, and, uh, give you some of those, you know, almost like a caffeine high.
- 14:56I Hate Talking: Talk to your doctor.
- 14:57I Hate Talking: Yes, this is not medical advice in any form or fashion.
- 15:01I Hate Talking: This is expressly the opinion of these hosts only.
- 15:05I Hate Talking: So, uh, I think that is true in terms of, uh, yes, just enjoying the flavor of coffee and a routine of coffee even, which I think is also to some degree can be true for An alcoholic drink.
- 15:21I Hate Talking: Case in point, when we were having a cookout, uh, this mid-July, uh, you and I both were craving a beer to go with our burgers that we grilled at home and all the sides, as well as uh the other day I was having some sirloin steak and I was, uh, wishing that I had a glass of red wine to go with that.
- 15:45I Hate Talking: Uh, so I think there are some flavor profiles and Uh, parts of things that we can enjoy from a taste perspective and even a routine perspective that uh are valid and perhaps uh can be enjoyed in moderation.
- 16:02I Hate Talking: Yeah, I mean, some of those can add to the experience, like add to the flavor.
- 16:08I Hate Talking: Um, we've been to both coffee and wine tastings where you'll take a sip of it.
- 16:16I Hate Talking: And then you'll take a piece of chocolate maybe, and um and drink again and it's completely different.
- 16:24I Hate Talking: It changes the food that you are eating for the better.
- 16:28I Hate Talking: Or for the worst if it's not a good pairing.
- 16:31I Hate Talking: But yes, that would be the intent is uh to have those pairings that do enhance both the flavor of the food as well as the flavor of the wine or coffee or whatever the particular drink of choice is.
- 16:44I Hate Talking: So, um, Another time this month, I was somewhere, uh, it was just me with the kids, and multiple people tried to hand me a drink.
- 16:57I Hate Talking: They're being very hospitable and I appreciated it.
- 16:59I Hate Talking: I was the only adult there not drinking.
- 17:02I Hate Talking: And I just kept saying, no, thank you.
- 17:04I Hate Talking: I got nervous cause I was like, oh, maybe they're gonna think I'm pregnant, so I'm gonna suck in my stomach.
- 17:08I Hate Talking: But also, um, you know, like I was worried that they're gonna ask about that, or, um, It just, I was definitely singled out, like, being the odd person.
- 17:21I Hate Talking: And uh I felt uncomfortable, just cause I felt um the host was really trying to be hospitable, and I felt very um awkward in that situation.
- 17:33I Hate Talking: And uh, so again, I try to put myself into like back.
- 17:36I Hate Talking: When I used to not consume any of this stuff, um, caffeine or anything, people would offer it, and it didn't seem to bother me.
- 17:46I Hate Talking: Maybe I was just younger back then or more confident.
- 17:49I Hate Talking: I didn't mind just saying no, if someone offered me a coffee or anything like that.
- 17:55I Hate Talking: So I don't know why now I'm like, oh, I would This looks awkward.
- 17:59I Hate Talking: I'm offending them.
- 18:01I Hate Talking: Does that make sense?
- 18:02I Hate Talking: Indeed, and I think that uh perhaps that goes not only to.
- 18:08I Hate Talking: Your own confidence, but also like you mentioned, uh, how you appear to them and maybe that will impact their confidence because again, it's just a failed social interaction when somebody declines to take them up on their offer.
- 18:24I Hate Talking: Uh, so maybe both parties are a little bit uh at play there in terms of their confidence and just whether that social interaction is considered a success or failure.
- 18:34I Hate Talking: Right, and like, I didn't want to make it a thing.
- 18:38I Hate Talking: I didn't want to make them feel uncomfortable, like, I'm holier than thou or something.
- 18:43I Hate Talking: I think it's the other thing people assume, like, oh, you're too good for this.
- 18:47I Hate Talking: No, I don't mind.
- 18:48I Hate Talking: I'm not upset that you guys are having a beer.
- 18:51I Hate Talking: I'm choosing not to.
- 18:54I Hate Talking: Precisely, so we have some Toxicity in the form of caffeine or coffee or tea, and we have some toxicity in the form of alcohol, whether that be wine or a beer or a mixed drink of some sort.
- 19:12I Hate Talking: What are your thoughts on the toxicity of fruits and vegetables?
- 19:18I Hate Talking: Like the stuff that they inject in it to make it look beautiful.
- 19:23I Hate Talking: No, I'm actually referring to a theory that I think does hold some weight where Plants have.
- 19:32I Hate Talking: Certain forms of defense, so that predators don't eat them, and that while we as humanity have bred certain plants to be more fruitful and better tasting and to have less of those attributes where they're thorny or poisonous or whatever the case may be, that they still retain some toxicity when we eat them.
- 19:59I Hate Talking: And actually for those that consume a lot of plants in terms of fruits and vegetables that that actually can have a toxic effect on the body.
- 20:08I Hate Talking: Yeah, like, um, it's a known thing, right, when babies have sweet potatoes, that tends to be their first, one of their first foods.
- 20:16I Hate Talking: If they eat a lot of them, their skin will change colors, changes to like an orangeish color.
- 20:22I Hate Talking: Yup, so, uh, and this again maybe a little bit of confirmation bias because it is a theory held to some of the dietitians that follow more of a ketogenic diet or a carnivore diet, but, uh, one of the people that I think is noteworthy that does hold to this particular view is Bear Grylls.
- 20:42I Hate Talking: Uh, he went on a Basically all plant diet for a while and felt terrible and was not doing well.
- 20:48I Hate Talking: And uh then switched to basically a all meat diet with uh supplemented by butter and animal fats and things of that nature and has had none of the issues that he described when he was purely a vegetarian.
- 21:03I Hate Talking: Huh, I wonder too, um, like I know there's allergies, especially to like seafood and shellfish and stuff.
- 21:12I Hate Talking: But is there much of an allergy towards beef or turkey?
- 21:17I Hate Talking: Cause there's a ton, like, I can't eat.
- 21:19I Hate Talking: Eggplants.
- 21:21I Hate Talking: My, um, I'm not completely sick.
- 21:25I Hate Talking: I don't get very sick on it, but it's very uncomfortable.
- 21:28I Hate Talking: My mouth for several days after eating eggplant.
- 21:32I Hate Talking: And, um, you know, I have other family members that can't eat a whole slew of fruits and vegetables.
- 21:39I Hate Talking: So is that the kind of toxicity, um, also in play that wouldn't be in meat?
- 21:47I Hate Talking: So I do think we are using the word toxic in a more generalized sense in terms of referring to a particular allergy as toxic because typically toxic means poisonous and like we've said at the start of the episode, poisonous substances are having a uh undue effect that is globally applicable where, you know, that that is going to be toxic to everyone.
- 22:13I Hate Talking: Uh, but for example, there could be certain substances that are toxic to humans that can be eaten just fine by deer or other animals and even mammals that uh would be quite deadly to a person.
- 22:29I Hate Talking: OK.
- 22:30I Hate Talking: And then you can actually be allergic to beef.
- 22:35I Hate Talking: Uh, this is a syndrome called alpha-gal syndrome or AGS for short, and it is basically a red meat allergy and uh that is actually typically associated with the bite of the lone star tick.
- 22:51I Hate Talking: So, uh, you actually can get that particular meat allergy, red meat allergy.
- 22:57I Hate Talking: Uh, if you come in contact with the Lone Star tick that has that particular disease, uh, within that tick, um, and that's actually not, I guess, uh, as I'm looking here at some of the research, a proven relationship that, uh, does seem to have some association there.
- 23:14I Hate Talking: OK.
- 23:14I Hate Talking: Alright, so before we wrap up this episode, let's uh end it perhaps with uh maybe some of our favorite drinks, coffee, alcohol, or otherwise.
- 23:29I Hate Talking: And uh after that, all our listeners can go hit that like button, share, subscribe, etc.
- 23:35I Hate Talking: etc.
- 23:35I Hate Talking: -- and -- let us know what their favorite drinks are.
- 23:38I Hate Talking: There you go.
- 23:38I Hate Talking: You can always uh send us a text, send us an email, or leave a comment on whatever platform you're listening to this podcast on.
- 23:47I Hate Talking: Um, yeah, I'll go first.
- 23:50I Hate Talking: My, obviously what I drink the most is water, but it's a little specific.
- 23:57I Hate Talking: I don't like cold water.
- 23:59I Hate Talking: And I don't like hot water.
- 24:01I Hate Talking: It has to be lukewarm, maybe slightly on the cool side.
- 24:06I Hate Talking: I do love to chew ice, which is not good if any dentists are out here, cover your ears.
- 24:13I Hate Talking: But um I do like to chew ice, but I like lukewarm water.
- 24:18I Hate Talking: Um, I love Diet Coke, like we've said before, or Diet Pepsi.
- 24:24I Hate Talking: I'm actually not picky either way.
- 24:25I Hate Talking: Um, americanos, so espresso with water added is my biggest go to every morning.
- 24:35I Hate Talking: And then, um, I really love IPAs for beer.
- 24:42I Hate Talking: Or, um, A good cab, red, just for a red wine.
- 24:48I Hate Talking: And um, Uh, we actually, I love, um, One of my favorite, I have two red wines that I love, a Lode is one name and then a Josh.
- 25:02I Hate Talking: Both are cabs, and I love it.
- 25:04I Hate Talking: And we have a Josh cab in our house right now.
- 25:08I Hate Talking: And I look forward to one day opening it up and drinking it soon because um now that we don't have to go the whole month without drinking.
- 25:16I Hate Talking: And um it is very enjoyable.
- 25:19I Hate Talking: And then uh for a harder drinks that I would order if I was out is an old fashion, or a martini with olives.
- 25:27I Hate Talking: There you go.
- 25:29I Hate Talking: Well, uh, like yourself, I do enjoy a nice glass of water and also, uh, don't really prefer that to be cold or hot.
- 25:39I Hate Talking: So I do occasionally, uh, drink hot water with lemon, uh, typically in the morning.
- 25:46I Hate Talking: People, uh, sorry to interrupt you.
- 25:48I Hate Talking: People come to our house and I have to be mindful to get cool water cause we don't have like a fridge that has water in it.
- 25:58I Hate Talking: And so, um, that's another oddity.
- 26:01I Hate Talking: When we, people come to our house, we don't have cold water for them.
- 26:04I Hate Talking: And I'm like, oh no, we don't, we don't drink cold water, but go on.
- 26:09I Hate Talking: And also enjoy teas of all varieties, uh, typically black teas, but, uh, also will enjoy chai tea, both hot and cold, typically unsweetened, uh, so those are my drinks of choice and, uh, from the coffee perspective, uh, typically black coffee, so anything espresso based, so the Americanos or just straight espresso.
- 26:35I Hate Talking: Uh, we'll occasionally add maybe a splash of milk.
- 26:39I Hate Talking: Um, do enjoy cappuccinos, lattes on occasion as well.
- 26:44I Hate Talking: Um, when I'm doing keto, I will add a splash of heavy whipping cream to said coffee, um, and typically prefer the mid roast to dark roast.
- 26:56I Hate Talking: Uh, don't typically prefer the light roast, which I guess supposedly that is.
- 27:00I Hate Talking: Uh, more caffeine content in the light race, so there you go, we're avoiding the toxicity.
- 27:05I Hate Talking: Also enjoy red wine, typically cabs as well, but uh some Pinots and uh some other varieties every once in a while.
- 27:16I Hate Talking: The lody red, uh, that you were referring to is one of my favorites as well, uh, with, uh, coming out of the lody region in California.
- 27:27I Hate Talking: Uh, there's one particularly that we like that is produced by Michael David Winery.
- 27:32I Hate Talking: Uh, so we'll add that to the show notes.
- 27:35I Hate Talking: Um, we can get that here in our locale, so, um, but it is based in California and, uh, enjoy, uh, low sugar wine, so grazy wine is another one that comes to mind, again, a red wine, but they do have a rose and white variety as well.
- 27:51I Hate Talking: I've always enjoyed loggers, uh, from the beer perspective and, uh, in my later adult years have come to enjoy IPAs as well, uh, with some of the uh.
- 28:03I Hate Talking: More odd beers out there with like some seisons and things of that nature, always up to try those and enjoy those, uh, as long as they're not too fruity or too just uh strange tasting in my palette, I guess.
- 28:21I Hate Talking: I don't know how other to put that, but, um, and then from the spirit's perspective, definitely a vodka person.
- 28:29I Hate Talking: Uh, vodka tonic with lime, always one of my favorites.
- 28:32I Hate Talking: I've actually also gone to vodka and pickle juice recently.
- 28:37I Hate Talking: And, uh, and actually we'll enjoy pickle juice even on its own.
- 28:42I Hate Talking: So lots of different, uh, things that we enjoy, some of those things toxic, some of those things not so much, but from your friends that I hate talking until next time, remember, it is only through talking that we begin the journey to understanding.
