- 0:37other channels every day. So guys, early intervention with
- 0:41autism, you know, one of the most interesting things is that
- 0:43autism exists in people from birth.
- 0:46You know, you're born with autism.
- 0:47It's not something that just develops, it's something that is
- 0:48there. It's neural, neural
- 0:50developmental, which means that it does increase in its
- 0:52potential of certain kind of characteristics and traits the
- 0:55older you get. And some things are more
- 0:58prominent than others and that's just the nature of autism.
- 1:01Now before I go any further, I just want to say that I do have
- 1:03a 50% off link for Autism Parenting Magazine, which is an
- 1:06amazing resource. So if you're interested in that,
- 1:08click the affiliate link down below.
- 1:09It helps me out a little bit, but it also helps you out
- 1:11because you guys get money off, which is pretty awesome.
- 1:13That's a really good magazine and I highly recommend it.
- 1:15So why is early intervention important?
- 1:18Now, usually a person on the autism special will be diagnosed
- 1:21between the ages of like 3 and five years old.
- 1:24Now. This is because a lot of the
- 1:26research was done and a lot of the kind of diagnostic criteria
- 1:29isn't able to be completed until a person is around 3 years old.
- 1:34Now. They are diagnosing children
- 1:37younger than three. Now.
- 1:38It's relatively a new thing where you have someone on the
- 1:41autism spectrum diagnosed maybe 18 months old, which is really,
- 1:45really super young. And I believe that there are
- 1:48more advances in how they set an examine a person for autism
- 1:52spectrum condition. But the beauty of having a
- 1:54diagnosis early is that you can get the intervention in early.
- 1:57Now, the the intervention is not like you're trying to correct
- 2:00something that's wrong with somebody.
- 2:01That's not what I'm trying to say.
- 2:03The intention is having access to support and help where you'll
- 2:06need it. So autistic individuals would
- 2:08really benefit from having early intervention on someone
- 2:11understanding their mind or their outburst and their
- 2:14emotional control. So the parents get early
- 2:16intervention for them so they know how to handle and deal with
- 2:19their child better, which means that the child has a stable and
- 2:22more inclusive environment that they can then thrive for as they
- 2:25grow older. Because you got to think about
- 2:27it, if you, if you're like me and you went to school, you
- 2:30know, with, with autism, but you didn't have any help there and
- 2:33school's a struggle. And they, you know, didn't like
- 2:35school at all by the time I got to an adult.
- 2:37And then I realized, Oh my goodness.
- 2:38So I had support. If I had intervention earlier
- 2:41on, then school would have been a different experience really.
- 2:43And This is why it's so important.
- 2:45You want to give everybody the best chance of life and by
- 2:48giving them early intervention until you have access to
- 2:50support, therapies, parent coaching, all that kind of
- 2:54stuff. Then the child, the person on
- 2:56the autism spectrum has their best chance of life to create
- 2:59the best ability for them. Now guys, if you think this
- 3:03video is important to share, please share it on social media
- 3:05and give this video a like. See you guys soon for a piece.
