But it's a sweet-ass bike and I want to hold onto that. [upbeat rock music] Talk to me when the fucking song is gone. Jesus Christ. [laughs] Fuck me.
• 0:11
[upbeat rock music] All right, here we go.
• 0:44
Chewy's Salon Chair number 31. Jesus, I never thought it'd go that far. Um, tonight in, today, tonight, in, back in the shop, back in the, back in the salon chairs, uh, Kayla and Brad are here.
• 0:56
Um, we've got a bunch of stuff to talk about. Kayla's been on the road a bunch, I've been on the road a bunch, and Brad hasn't done a fucking thing. Not a thing. [laughs] We're gonna get him out, though. Oh, yeah.
• 1:04
We're gonna inspire him- Oh, no... to join us. So we can, we can start with... So we did a podcast at the Osage Race that he was gonna go to. If you remember correctly, he was all... Remember that?
• 1:13
Is it 'cause I didn't go? No. So it wasn't gonna be as much fun? No, we need to play the audio back. [laughs] Can we loop back right now and- I should have put it on there...
• 1:19
discuss how it was like- I'm pretty sure I could have doctored that fucker up- Not a-... to make sure that you were going. [laughs] Not a fucking chance I was going, and Kayla was like, "We're gonna get fucked up.
• 1:27
It's gonna be great." [laughs] And then I double-booked myself. Yeah. Yeah, but- Per usual... the Friday night we- I double-booked myself. [laughs] I'm so popular.
• 1:34
She did, she did happen to make it down to the, um, to the- Friday night shenanigans... the Friday night shenanigans. Jesus, that turned into a giant disaster. Oh, jeepers. Tell me more. I'm glad we're still friends.
• 1:43
[laughs] Tell me more. What? I cried. Kayla doesn't cry. [laughs] Kayla cried? What the fuck have you done to her? I don't even, I don't remember this. [laughs] Yeah, you made me cry, bud. But I still love you. Whoa.
• 1:56
Was it the pants, and you wanted the pants? That's what it was, wasn't it? It's 'cause I didn't wanna wear pants? Well, that's normally it. That's pretty normal, too. I was gonna say, you never wear pants.
• 2:03
[laughs] Pants are definitely optional. We got in a huge thing 'cause Dave was stealing coins. Oh. And then I got thrown under the bus for it. That was a, no, no, no, no.
• 2:11
It was fun at my house when we got to the thing, Lens, Lens is banned from the coins. Yep. This is, this is- And apparently me, too, 'cause mine got stolen. [laughs] Yeah. Well, you've lost two now.
• 2:21
Like, the challenge coins? So that's your- Well- The challenge coins? [laughs] The first one was my fault. Ooh. Though I'm convinced that somebody stole that one, too. [laughs] 'Cause that was Santa Rampage weekend.
• 2:29
So that's like ownership where it's like, "It's my fault, but it's really not my fault." Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So, 'cause nothing's ever Kayla's fault. One of the big things on there is if you lose it- [laughs] Thank you...
• 2:36
you don't get another one, and I gave her another one anyway. Even Kayla not wearing pants is never her fault. [laughs] That is kind of my fault. [laughs] Lies. Well, I, I, I'll step out of this one.
• 2:48
[laughs] It was fun up until that point. Uh-oh. So we had a good time. It was still fun after. Yeah, it was. We had a good time. We made up for it. We had a good time. Yeah, it was. I don't stay mad long.
• 2:58
[laughs] We, uh, the, the, the green, um, uh, salon chairs were, like, the biggest hit. It was fucking hilarious. Oh, yeah, we still have to go up to Milwaukee to deliver those. I went on that one. To one.
• 3:08
We only have one left to deliver. Greg got two of them in his car. The two that were at- Wow, that's impressive... the two that were at my house, he took back with him.
• 3:14
We just have the one that's at Shannon's house that's, that has to go to Tony yet. Mm. And I'm charging him $100 for it, I think now. You should. I don't know.
• 3:21
Anna, like, you should hear about this, but- Gonna be a fucking Milwaukee- So there's not gonna be a Milwaukee trip? Yeah, I don't know when we're gonna do it, though. We could go to Milwaukee.
• 3:27
I mean, we got, we, we have to try to do it before, um, it's, it's the same, we have to do it before Rivers West. We have to do it sometime in July. June's kinda shot.
• 3:38
Well, we might be able to figure it out in June, but- June's actually not too bad for me. Really? June's fucked. It might have to be, like, the middle of the week. What? [laughs] Like you're gonna go anyway.
• 3:46
[laughs] June's so fucked for me- Yeah, he will... sitting on my couch. If I tell him he's going, he'll go. Oh, yo, I like, I like to see this. Wait, middle of the week?
• 3:53
I know you're retired, but I know you also have a job. Yeah. It's your vacation time. I do have PTO to burn up since I'm probably not gonna go on that U- Europe trip.
• 4:02
My birthday is coming up, and I usually take, I do call it the week of Brad. [laughs] When is this happening? Yeah, when is this? I put it in the calendar. When's your birthday?
• 4:10
So it's June 24th, which I believe is a Saturday. Okay. So I'm trying to decide if I'm going, like, Saturday to Saturday, like, from the 24th on- Yep... or if I'm gonna do it the week prior.
• 4:19
You're just an old fucking lady. You should do it the next week. You celebrate your birthday for a week, aren't you? Yes. As if I should influence it, but. And it's fucking awesome. [laughs] I don't do shit.
• 4:25
As if I do anything else. I have never celebrated my birthday since I was in high school.
• 4:28
And the funny thing is is it's, like, on my birthday it's not even, like, a thing, 'cause I just wrangle everybody up during the week to just do shenanigan things with me. That's brilliant.
• 4:38
Like, go to breakfast and get drunk on, like, a Wednesday. I'm in. Hell, yeah. I know you... I, I'm in. [laughs] That's, that's like a regular Wednesday for Chewy. Yeah.
• 4:44
[laughs] I, no, I have, since I've been retired, I have yet to... I mean here. I mean getting up and do, getting drunk for breakfast other places- Oh, so it doesn't count in Decorah? Like, it's just here?
• 4:56
No, no, just here. [laughs] Like, just, like, getting up and walking out of my regular house and going and doing that. Your regular life? And well, awesome. Your party life in Decorah doesn't count? That, oh, geez.
• 5:06
You're just a complete degen when you get there. [laughs] So, all right, so let's get back on track here. That is true. Jesus. That's what Decorah's for. We're not, I did not ask- Degen Decorah.
• 5:12
So week of Brad, keep your calendars open. Yeah. So remember that- I already marked it... week of Brad, yeah, put that in your calendar, week of Brad, 24th through the- It's gonna-... 20- Whatever... 31st?
• 5:21
Why not make it- Something like that... the month of Brad? Well, that's getting a little excessive. Let's start right now. [laughs] Yeah, I don't think anybody can handle that much of me. There's...
• 5:27
No, we can do that, though. I can handle that much. We, he can have a week with his kids, a week with his wife, and then we get him the other two weeks. Yeah. There you go. Huh? Deal. I'll be, I'll be thankful for that.
• 5:36
[laughs] Probably be like, "Take him for three, please." Yeah. [laughs] So, so anyways, that was good. Uh, the o- we do have, that's the other thing. I know we're gonna work that in. We need to go to Osage and camp.
• 5:46
You would love riding down there on your clunker on their trails. I wanna hit those trails. Those trails are awesome. Let's do it. They were so much fun. They're not,
• 5:53
they're, they're technical, but they're not, like, it's not like kill you climbs and that kinda stuff. But I mean, there's some- Are there, like, sharp berms in there? Um, some, and there's some punchy stuff, yeah.
• 6:01
I mean, it's, it's in and out of a, a river, so... And then the campgrounds is five bucks a night. Oh, fuck. And then it's, like, a mile ride into town, mile and a half ride into town to the bar.
• 6:10
And the bar was, they were, just treated us like-... fantastic. It was great. I think he had music down there all the time, and it was, yeah, you- Did the group stay in hotels, though? You guys didn't camp.
• 6:18
We did because we didn't know there was a campgrounds. Oh, okay. So we, we stayed in hotels, yeah. Like a tent campground? Well, tent, uh, there's electricity. I think there's, I think there's even a shower there.
• 6:27
Like can I bring my camper? Yeah. I'm gonna bring mine. Oh. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Now you have me talked into it. I car camp though, too. Yeah, I mean, it's- I, I glamp. I got a 30-footer. Let's fucking go. AC, shower.
• 6:38
I thought, I figured- And- A bunch of guys... I figured yours was, like, permanent down at Pioneer, isn't she? She, yeah, she's coming out. Oh, is it? Yep. Okay. Okay, then we're in.
• 6:46
Yeah, so I don't know when that's gonna happen, but I mean, Greg and those guys wanna come back. That's not gonna happen, but, but, um- Sounds like B-Day shenanigans in the camper. Uh-huh.
• 6:53
Yeah, I could get- I think, oh, yeah. That's a good idea... I think I can get, like... I mean, if we do it right, I can get, like, 10 bodies in there comfortably. Well, if Spinner comes down, he's got his toy hauler.
• 7:03
We can sleep 1,000 bodies in that one, too. Mm-hmm. And dogs. 1,000. [laughs] Just stack them. Yep. [laughs] Best part about it- I'm in... the AC blows, like, frost. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Oh. It's nice.
• 7:13
If it's hot- I feel that's on Brett's camper... if it's hot, it's great. Watch, now it'll break. [laughs] No. So, so while I was doing... When you left and you went on a ride the next day, what did you do?
• 7:23
So I was participating in Jackhammer's BORG Fest, and if you don't know what BORG is, it's blackout raging gallons. Oh. And so you have a gallon- Sounds right up your alley... and you just... Yeah.
• 7:33
So I was really torn, 'cause I really wanna do the OSA ride, and I was all excited, but I kinda just did all the things. I did Friday night with those guys, and then Saturday- And you guys were drinking.
• 7:42
What was the drink you were drinking? Did you blackout? What'd you guys make Friday night that Shannon came up with? Um, I just... Oh, I don't remember. It was, it was tropical orange juice, White Cloud. White Cloud?
• 7:55
Yeah, like, like, um, um- What the fuck is White Cloud? I don't remember either... or White Claw, White Claw. Sorry. White Claw. White Claw, White Claw. Yeah. I don't remember which one the flavor was.
• 8:03
White Cloud [laughs]. White Cloud. Well, it kind of was. It was, and it, and it was, it was- So what was he smoking? [laughs] It was, it was, it was a...
• 8:09
It was like he took the orange juice down to, like, a th- a third, and then you started throwing in 20-ounce cans of White Claw, and I don't remember what flavor it was.
• 8:17
Um- Oh, this is what we were drinking in the garage. Right. Yeah, yeah. Okay. And then, and then a vodka, and then a bunch of- Double Dutch... a bunch of frozen fruit in there. Yeah. Sounds like a- It was good...
• 8:25
that was good, yeah. Yeah. Sounds like a, like a miniature Wapa Tui or whatever they're called. Kind of, and then they were, they were making it out on the course. Kind of like jungle juice.
• 8:30
They, they had a bunch of them ended up heading out on the course. Jungle juice, yeah. Her and, uh, Shannon and Brecca had it out on the course. We call them WAPs. WAPs? I know jungle juice is, like, the new term. Is it?
• 8:39
I think- That's the old term. We used to call them garbage can parties. Yeah. Yeah, that's, like, the old- Yeah, that's when- Yeah... you know you're old as balls. That's [laughs] Yeah. [laughs] Old. Fine.
• 8:48
[laughs] I remember going to a hotel- So, so you-... and mixing them in a fuck, in the tub. Yeah. Oh, re- That was a thing we did. Yes. I know one time we did that, yeah. Yep. Oh, God. Just loved it.
• 8:55
That's how we survived the pandemic, 'cause we did shit like that back in the day. Fuck yeah, we did. [laughs] Does that look like a toenail to you? Ah, fuck it. [laughs] Yeah. This is hair in my eye.
• 9:03
[laughs] We bought, we bought, we, we did a, we did, like, a 30-gallon garbage can one time, and we bottled it 'cause it was so good. Oh, that's when you, when you find a good recipe. Yep. Yeah.
• 9:12
We, we like, we put it, we put it, as I said, no more, nobody's adding anything else to it. There was probably 20-some gallons in there. Yep. And it was awesome tasting.
• 9:19
We said, "You're done," and then the next morning hungover as shit. We all just sat there, and what we had left over we bottled it. Um, we cracked a few bottles of it.
• 9:25
[laughs] So what, what were you, what was in your gallon? Like, what are you drinking? I did, so what the kids do. The kids. It's a thing that the college kids are doing these days. It is.
• 9:33
That's what inspired us, 'cause Jackhammer is kind of like- Still hanging onto your youth... the old man fraternity. Like- Hanging onto the youth... they're always partying.
• 9:40
We're always playing credit card roulette at bars, and talking townies into doing it, and we're icing each other, and so BORGing was just, like, the next thing.
• 9:48
And so what the kids do is, like, they use, like, electrolytes- Mm-hmm... and then, um, a bunch of water, and then, like, I did vodka 'cause it's pretty easy to mix with everything.
• 9:59
But I, I did the, the berry Pedialyte, and that was pretty yummy. Got it. And you have to name your BORG, and we had some really fun ones. Sylvie and I were pretty close contenders for the top ones.
• 10:09
I think she ended up winning. Um, I had Who's a Good BORG, and it was a little dog. [laughs] What was hers? Um, El- Elizabeth Ginsborg or some- I forget now. Oh, okay. So you gotta come up with, like, a clever name.
• 10:26
Yeah. That sounds fun. Like, uh, Designated BORG Donor or, like- Nice... um- I like the-... I Like Big BORGs and I Cannot Lie. [laughs] Nice.
• 10:36
I like how for once we actually have biking to talk about, and we've talked about nothing but booze for the first- Yeah... 10 minutes. Well, that's- Just, like- I don't just bike...
• 10:42
that's just- There always has to be booze involved... BORG To Be Wild or some shit like that. Yeah, that would be a good one, too. Just gotta come up with them clever ones. Yeah. There was a lot of good ones.
• 10:50
So did we, did we bike on this event? Yep. Okay. So we did a big loop,
• 10:55
'cause Bess house, the house is near Manorville, and so we biked from there, Pine Island, down to Rochester, and then kind of back over to Manorville. I don't remember. I think it was at least 50 miles, maybe 60.
• 11:05
You kinda do, like, an opposite... You do the same loop that we've done a lot of times, just that we always start in Rochester. When was that? Uh, it was a few weekends ago now. Yeah. Oh, so it was, it was nice?
• 11:14
It was, uh, really windy and really cold. Yeah. I remember us starting in, like, jackets and stuff. But then- Which is better than, like, a billion degrees. Yeah.
• 11:22
Was it really- Well, 'cause last year it was really hot... 'cause it was, it was the day after, it was the day, the same day that we did, uh- Wasn't it, like, June s- or May 6th that we came out?
• 11:29
Yeah, it was the same one. Yeah, that was the same kind of rainy weekend. God, we had great weather. We did time out the rain just right. That's right. Yeah. 'Cause it did rain- And that was on-...
• 11:37
for a while that evening... yeah. 'Cause that day it was like, once it started raining, it didn't stop. Yep. Yep. Yeah, May 6th weekend. Yep.
• 11:46
'Cause I also had a big 40th birthday weekend, or 45th birthday weekend that was in Cresco, and I missed that. Yep. I couldn't do all the things. I remember that Saturday 'cause it didn't s- we were in Owatonna.
• 11:57
It didn't start raining until about 3:00, but then it, it didn't stop until, like, 9:00, and it was hard ass rain. Mm-hmm. We've been... It's been weird.
• 12:07
Like, we, that rain that we got this last Thursday, like you would've got at your house and at St. Mary's and stuff, out Salt Northwest- Last Thursday? Oh, well, I wasn't in town. Oh, shit. You were gone. Yeah.
• 12:18
We don't got anything out here. Yeah, isn't that weird? Yeah, it was really strange. Like we got no r- we, the, the, the grass is dying out here 'cause we haven't had rain in weeks. Mm-hmm. Hmm.
• 12:26
Basement's still flooded, but we're getting by. [laughs] Oh wait, last Thursday was volleyball. I was still here. Yeah. I did volleyball, and then I packed, and then I left. Did I see you or was that the week before?
• 12:33
I didn't see... That was the week before- Okay... when I came in hot and I hit the car. [laughs] Yeah, she certainly did. And then I, I was- Girl, stick to two wheels, Kayla. [laughs] She's like just driving by feel.
• 12:45
They were giving me so much shit. They were like, "Hurry up," and I'm like, "You have enough people to play," but they're like, "Hurry up." There was three of them there at the time. Wait, is your turn to serve or what?
• 12:52
Pretty much. [laughs] Probably, yeah. She came in, about tore the front end of her car off. [laughs] Oh, you're being dramatic. There was a little rub. I don't think- Just a little buff out.
• 13:01
Yeah, so- [laughs] So yeah, so I was gone pretty much the whole month of May though 'cause I did, so we did that weekend. You were there and I was, I was, um- Where were you?
• 13:08
I was down in the Osage, and then I got back- Oh, yeah... so I got back from Osage on Monday and left Tuesday for, um, well, I went to Decorah, I went back to Decorah, and then drove back here on Monday.
• 13:18
And then Tuesday we left and went down and went pig sitting in Texas, so. How was the pig? The pig is awesome. The pig has mellowed out. Like we did, we had zero arguments. He, uh- Yeah, last year you got into it.
• 13:28
We get, we, we've got, this is the first year we haven't got into it. We- It's just because it's, the pig is smarter than you. There's a, there's a possibility. [laughs] Pigs are apparently pretty smart.
• 13:38
He likes, he likes his tomatoes and he likes his treats, and I'm not giving them to him, so he, he blocks me so I can't get out. I have to give him a treat, and everybody else is like, "Ooh, he's kinda big.
• 13:46
I'll give him a treat." I'm like, "Get the fuck out of the way." [laughs] And then he, and he goes- Oh, man... "Oh, get the fuck out of the way" this, and he gets me with his tusk. What's his name? Willy. Willy.
• 13:52
[laughs] Willy. But he missed his dad. They were gone for a week. That was the first time they'd been gone for a week since I got him I think, and- What's Willy weigh now? Oh, he's gotta be like 110. Oh, big boy.
• 14:00
I mean, he's really getting any bigger. That's big. He looks pretty big in his sweatshirt. Yeah. Yeah, but he's not, I mean, he's, he doesn't eat that much really. Mm-hmm.
• 14:06
It's like we get up in the morning and he, him and I, I get a cup of coffee and he gets his Oatie grain stuff, and I dump it on the ground and he s- mixes water and it makes a fucking mess and snoots around.
• 14:17
He got, he did get me though. He, he was out in the yard, and they'd had a ra- lot of rain down there, so he gets to rutting then.
• 14:23
So to make sure he doesn't tear up the yard, you gotta kinda like herd him around to make sure he doesn't start rutting. And I'm standing there... I'll be, I will tell you this too.
• 14:30
You got two dogs, you know, it's like picking up pig shit is way fucking easier than picking up dog shit. Oh, I don't pick up dog shit. I don't either. Your dog hardly shits. Yeah, it's like Tootsie Rolls. [laughs] Yeah.
• 14:41
Yeah. Oh, I, I get, well, we'll get to that in a little bit. Um- Oh, God.
• 14:44
[laughs] But no, because, because I stayed, I stayed with a blind, I stayed at, the house we stayed at in Flagstaff had a blind, uh, long-haired dachshund. Oh, okay. Aw. Oh, yeah. He was a hoot.
• 14:53
Yeah, he'd, like he could smell. He couldn't hardly see. He couldn't, you know, he was just, he was, he was, but he was awesome.
• 14:59
He had the lady, like he's, gets pushed around in a ba- buggy and- Sounds like my wife- Yeah... with Gunther. Oh yeah, he ba- yeah. Yeah, I was gonna say about the same. But so we, so that really went well.
• 15:08
I mean, it was, it was a, it was a nice week with him. We watched, him and I sat on the porch and watched the Stanley Cup through the window and, or the games. I think, I think we're getting replaced by Willy, Kayla.
• 15:17
Kinda sounds like it. Oh, no. No, no, no, no. No? I'm still not going. I, I could, I couldn't spend, I don't need to go back to Texas again until same time next year. What if Willy was here? Nah, he's boring. Really?
• 15:30
Oh yeah. He's not like- Thought him and you- "Hey, you wanna go, you wanna go play fetch or anything?" That, that, that's just not, "You wanna go for a walk?" "Yeah."
• 15:36
We walk from the living room to the kitchen to the bedroom. [laughs] That's it, I'm good. Oh my God. I was like- Could you take Willy for walks? We used to when he was little. Nice.
• 15:43
I mean, even now, I, we haven't walked him- That would be very entertaining... we haven't walked him- Walk him down South Broadway. Oh. Just walk the pig. Yeah, just walk him. Yeah. Or just take him to the 63 Club. Oh.
• 15:51
Oh my God. Oh, yeah. [laughs] That has to happen. It does. If I lived, if he lived here, I would take him to the club. Yes. Yeah. And, and, and I would just say- That's funny...
• 15:59
I would just say, "Mogger, you said no dogs." No dogs. Yeah. He doesn't allow dogs anymore? No. Oh. I don't know if I can go there anymore. I'm not really a big fan of Steve Mogger.
• 16:05
Although, although that being said, I can- I can't go there anymore...
• 16:08
I can, I can show you, I can show you pictures of, uh, Christie was there with one of her beautiful, beautiful golden retrievers, and they've got that dog posed all over the place. He's playing pool.
• 16:19
He's [laughs] Oh my gosh. That's awesome. So then I get back from there. I'm back, literally I get back from Texas on a Tuesday, and Wednesday drove up to the cities and jumped on a flight and went to Arizona.
• 16:30
And we rode, uh... Well, the plan was is we were gonna go ride the North Rim of Grand Canyon, but they had so much rain. Isn't that crazy?
• 16:38
And they, and they had a late snows, so like [coughs] there was trees down and it was a mess up there. So we went to Prescott. This is the best. We ran, we went to Prescott.
• 16:46
I don't think you've ever met Trevor, but you've probably met Trevor Olsen. Mm-hmm. Um, guy from Rochester. He's originally from Canada, but he's lived here for a few years.
• 16:53
But they, they, they moved to, um, they moved out to Prescott about eight years ago.
• 16:58
And I, and, uh, my buddy Pat had to, uh, had to work when we were there, so he was working and I'm like, I jump in my, mount my bike, I'm like, I'll ride into town, downtown Prescott and have a cup of coffee and just hang out 'cause I haven't been there at all.
• 17:10
So I get on my bike, I get to the corner, a Jeep drives by, and the guy goes, "Chewy!" [laughs] Oh my gosh. And I'm like, "Oh, fuck. It was Zach." So Zach used to work in, uh, um, in Sedona.
• 17:24
I think that's where I met him. Mm-hmm. And then, but now, but he's been to s- he's been to, um, he's been to Winona. I think he's been to Levis.
• 17:31
He's been, so he's been, he's come to a bunch of SingleSpeed events, so he's, he's into it. But he bought the bike shop in, in, uh, uh, in, uh,
• 17:39
uh, Prescott called, uh, Soul Ride, and he's got a little bar in the back of it, like legit bar, right? Nice. And so, and so every night there's happy hour before they close.
• 17:49
So he, [laughs] so he says, "Well, swing by for happy hour." And it's like, okay, so I ride around a little bit more and I'm done with the coffee thing, and I'm looking for a bar.
• 17:57
And downtown Prescott is way too many fake cowboys and too much rhinestone and- Really? Oh, and the prices are fucking ridiculous- Mm-hmm... and I just wanted out.
• 18:05
So I looked online and there's a bar, [laughs] there's a bar there that's actually advertises that, "We are not downtown Prescott." [laughs] [laughs] Nice. So I went there and it was awesome.
• 18:15
So then not knowing where this, what time the, the happy hour was at, I texted my buddy Trevor, who I haven't seen in a few years 'cause he's been living out there, right? And, and this guy is fast as fuck.
• 18:25
I mean, he's like a, about a pro racer for mountain biking especially. But anyway, [laughs] I text him, I go, "Hey, what time is, uh, is the happy hour at Soul Ride?" And he goes, "Starts at 4:00." Where are you?
• 18:39
[laughs] Um, sitting at, it w- it was, uh, I came, Porgy and Aria's or some, some weird named little, little dive bar. Just, it was, it was like the 63 Club with food. Perfect. Yeah, it was. It was a great bar.
• 18:51
In fact, Trevor liked hanging out there too, which Trevor doesn't hang out at bars. So anyway, so we, he shows up. He goes, I, I, I pinned him where I was at, and he goes, "There's a bar there?
• 19:00
That's like an industrial..." He goes, "I'm right there." So he comes running over. He's like three minutes away. He comes running in. We had a couple pitchers of beer.
• 19:08
And he goes, "Let's go back up to the house, take you around, show you around town." So we drove around in his big one ton truck. We get up to his house, and his house is like built on a pile of rocks.
• 19:15
It's just strange there. But the best part is, and I totally forgot this, he has a guest house that he rents out. And he goes, "Oh yeah, we should get those guys to come up here."
• 19:26
So he yells down, 'cause we're standing out back. He goes, "Amanda, Amanda, get up here." [laughs] And Ama- he goes, "I got somebody's up here for you." And she goes, "Well, yeah, I'm kind of working."
• 19:37
And I just go, "Amanda, get the fuck up here." [laughs] And she goes, and she goes, "Chewy?" [laughs] And then they come over. So John O. and, and Amanda are actually originally from Decorah. Oh, wow. Oh.
• 19:47
And they're renting for, I totally forgot, 'cause they've been there for like three years, so they, I totally forgot that they're renting and working in Prescott. Fucking guy knows everyone. [laughs] He really does.
• 19:55
Although I just know, people, they, people that I know just move to places and, and I forget about that. [laughs] So, so we went out to eat. We, we, they fed us that night. We went up there, just had a great time.
• 20:02
Oh my God, we had fun. It was a, it was a really good time. We just, we just got hammered. Had a big storm roll through. And we rode the next day, and then poor Pat gets, breaks, cracks his arm.
• 20:12
I don't know if he broke his wrist or not, but he- What? Yeah, he went over the handlebars. All I saw was- Oh, yeah... a little bit of a drop, a little bit of a drop, and I knew there was another one coming up.
• 20:20
And all of a sudden I see the, I see the head bob. Oh. And then I see, I, I don't see anything, and then I see a blue bike go [imitates bike] [laughs] down. Oh, no. Yeah. And so he went face first into the dirt.
• 20:31
He had a big digger, so. It's not a party until someone goes over the bars. He, he was- Yeah... he was kind of out of it after. He finished the ride, but he was not a happy camper afterwards.
• 20:39
So then- You said it, it was his wrist, he- Yeah. Oh. He was re- like jammed his right wrist pretty good. So then we went to Fr- we went, went, went up to Prescott, or, uh, to Flagstaff, and then he really can't ride.
• 20:48
So Justin, who we're g- gonna go riding with and camping, we just wound up staying at his house. But the f- riding in Flagstaff is insane. Like, I don't even know what- It's a beautiful area. Huh? It's a beautiful area.
• 20:58
Oh, it is. I mean, their, their, their, their, their pump track park would be, is like the size of Game Haven. I mean, it's giant. Wow. It's just impressive as all get out.
• 21:06
There's like four different size pump tracks and a jump track and, and they've got, they got this big mound that they built with s- with stairs on it so they could practice for cyclocross racing.
• 21:16
And now they're gonna build a cyclocross track around the outside of the- Oh my God, I wanna go... yeah. And then there's just trails everywhere.
• 21:21
I mean, like we did, I don't know, we did, oh shit, I, we rode, go by hours. We rode two to three hours every day. So the riding was fantastic. The weather was perfect. I mean, it was just the greatest riding I've done.
• 21:32
I actually rode... That's not here. You remember that, that stash that was hanging here? I actually rode that out there. I actually rode a- Oh... I rode a geared bike with- Wow... with a front suspension.
• 21:41
And I think, and I'm firmly convinced now that if I lived out there, the first day Justin rode a single speed on the stuff we were at and, and he was, he was hurting by the third day.
• 21:51
And I think, I'm firmly convinced if I lived out there, like Trevor rides a full suspension bike all the time now. He's also sponsored by Pivot, so- Oh... kinda makes sense, yeah.
• 21:59
But he's the kind of rider that, so there's like our little rock climb and his wife is in front of us, Carlene's ahead of us, and she's a little slow going up it.
• 22:06
And, and John O.'s, John O.'s slower going up it, but he can ride it good. And Trevor literally stops in the middle of it. And we're, "I'm gonna walk it. I'm not even gonna ride it to start with."
• 22:16
And he stops in the middle of it and just powers his way through the top of it. Wow. He's just an animal. It's just amazing to watch and, and fun to watch him ride. It was, it was a fantastic ride.
• 22:24
So yeah, so that was, that was two days of that and went back to the, got back to, uh, Tempe just in time to close up a couple bars and do the, do the short track Tuesdays in, uh, in Tempe and jump on a plane the next day and come back.
• 22:40
And then turned around, went back down to Decorah to do trail work 'cause they got a running race this weekend. Are you going to the meeting tomorrow? No, I have hockey practice. Okay.
• 22:48
I'm, I think I'm gonna have to go down afterwards so I can find out what I'm doing. I've been going down and working on trails now. I kinda wanna hear the updates.
• 22:53
Maybe I'll just follow up with Spinner to see what they talked about. On, uh, uh, then I can send you the minutes too. Oh, perfect. Yeah.
• 22:59
Yeah, I can do, I can, yeah, I've, uh, I can once again add you to the list if you want. We've been busting ass on trails down there. I'm running the DR Moore. I saw there was a little bit of drama about the trail work.
• 23:09
[laughs] Oh, God. Gun- poor Gunner. I don't, I don't know, I don't know what set him, oh, well, I'm gonna say I think I know what set him off or who set him off.
• 23:16
So he was, he was bitching about raking some trails, you know. And I couldn't, I, I stayed quiet as long as I could. I don't know if you see what I posted.
• 23:24
[laughs] I liked what you, what your comment was, was exactly what needed to be said. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was. Weird. Me? Ron telling it how it is. [laughs] That's weird.
• 23:33
But so then when I got back, then what have you, where have you been since then? 'Cause when I got back you went someplace else. Um- You went w- you went with, uh, Rotor...
• 23:41
well, Thursday through Tuesday was, um, well it was technically South Dakota, North Dakota, and Montana 'cause, um, so Travis has family in Spearfish. And so, um, what night?
• 23:52
Yeah, Friday and then Saturday morning, afternoon we kinda just tooled around in, in Spearfish, South Dakota. His bo- his dad bought a new, um, Can-Am and so we were, like, riding that.
• 24:04
I think I might end up buying, buying one of those 'cause those are super fun. Those fucking things are expensive. They kinda float weird though. Not too bad. I don't know if I'd like one of those. Like 20.
• 24:11
You saw what I have out in the driveway, didn't you? For a goddamn ATV? Well, it's like a- No... it's like a motorcycle- It's a three-wheeler. The two in front and one in the back, right? Yeah. Yeah.
• 24:21
It's like a motorcycle- Oh... had a baby with a- Not the, yeah, I know what you're talking about... snowmobile and an ATV. It's like, yeah. Yeah, not the, not the, not the one that you sit in like a car. The Spyder?
• 24:28
No, not a Spyder. You're- What do they call those? You're talking the one that's like a motorcycle- I don't know... with two wheels in the front. It's basically like a- It's two wheels in ba- or no, I'm mixing it up.
• 24:36
It's two wheels in back. Huh? Is it like a side-by-side ATV? No. [laughs] Oh, but you, it might be- I took a bunch of Snapchats... I don't know. Yeah. Anyways, we rode that around.
• 24:48
We went to the, um, Spearfish, um, Canyon. Yep And they had this giant waterfall. Uh, Travis and I bruised our feet up pretty bad, like hiking around in there barefoot. Um, but it was beautiful.
• 24:59
That's, um, b- uh, the trail system there is awesome, too. Yeah. We used to go over there for the Dakota 500, which is hard as shit.
• 25:06
Like, I'm, I, the o- the only thing I got out of riding in, in, in, uh, Flagstaff at 9,000 feet, coming back here and riding G- Haven on my single speed was like, "Oh, piece of cake. I can do this now."
• 25:17
[laughs] My lungs aren't flying out of my chest at all. [laughs] This is awesome. I like this. Nice. Yeah. I did have some elevation sickness again out there. That sucked. In, in, on, in Spearfish?
• 25:27
As soon as I get out west, like, my heart rate just spikes all over the place and I start swelling up like crazy, and I just feel shitty.
• 25:34
Um, when we went out to the Mickelson trail ride last year, like, as soon as we got to Deadwood, I felt like I was on a boat all day. I was just, like, super vertigo.
• 25:44
And so I got a little bit of that, but mostly it was just, like, my heart rate spiking all over the place. And you guys did a gravel road race out there, too, right? Yeah.
• 25:49
So we did, um, South Dakota and then we went up to North Dakota for the Badlands Gravel Battle, and that race was even more legit this year. [laughs] There was so many big sponsors out there and, like, big time riders.
• 26:03
I was a little bit intimidated. We did some, uh, course recon the night before and that helped a lot.
• 26:09
So I was taking notes, like, "Mile 10, there's, like, watch when you dive on that hill 'cause there's gonna be a big hole at the bottom."
• 26:15
[laughs] And like, there, it was very wash board-y, and it had rained, like, the whole night prior. So it was kinda like that peanut butter, like, quicksand mud type stuff.
• 26:25
And so I kinda wish I had my, um, my mountain bike instead of my gravel bike, 'cause I was getting kinda squirrely. Sure. And I, my advantage is I always, like, I never use my brakes on a downhill.
• 26:36
So I'll always pass people on a downhill. So I use that to my advantage, but there was still a lot of people even...
• 26:41
They said it was their best weather they've had in three years, 'cause normally it downpours, like, the whole race.
• 26:46
And by the time I crossed the finish line, 20 people had already dropped out, and, like, a bunch of people hadn't even checked into the 40-mile, like, first aid station. So that's a, it's a pretty big race.
• 26:58
[laughs] Yeah, it looked like- So I was just glad to finish... I mean, it looked like it, yeah. Yeah. No, that's awesome. I, that's,
• 27:03
I, it, you know, gravel road racing around here is just, I, the, the, I'm glad there's so many 'cause it keeps the fucking roadies off the mountain bike trails.
• 27:10
[laughs] There was a lot of people that had their mountain bikes out. Oh, I can imagine. I mean, it's- Just 'cause of the- Yeah... type of terrain it was.
• 27:17
I would, I would think that if you're gonna get a, if you're gonna get a true gravel bike that you would have something that holds, like, 40s maybe.
• 27:23
Well, I think having a suspension fork was the, the biggest deal because of all the washboards. Like, my wrists at the end were pretty sore. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
• 27:31
Lily ended up bringing her, uh, her E-mountain bike out, 'cause she only has an E-mountain bike now for mountain bikes. And she was- What the fuck is wrong with her?
• 27:38
They had a new- Oh, I can relate to- She, yeah, she's the strongest climber of the group. Yeah, I was gonna say. And then [laughs] Sherif Stockham fast as fuck- I love her though... and then she's got an E-bike there.
• 27:45
Well, she was having some RA flare ups, too, so she was nervous about having suh- suspension. And I, I joked with her, I was like, "I think you were the only E-bike out there. I bet you won the category."
• 27:54
And then sh- sure enough, she goes over and she was the only E-biker. [laughs] So she got a medal for winning. Nice. Yeah. You know how you also get a medal? Dead fucking last. Yeah. They didn't do that one.
• 28:05
Well, I don't know. They have- I, I'm too bold to be, I, I can't be last. It's like the Mr. Irrelevant category. [laughs] I'm definitely buying an E-bike. I'm not talking to you ever again.
• 28:15
[laughs] And not that I want to anyway. Yeah, it's like- [laughs] You f- like, I force you to hang out with me. [laughs] I know, it's... [laughs] But yeah, it was beautiful out there.
• 28:25
A trick for- I, like, took you right down- A trick for elevation when you're going- Yeah... Ibu, ibuprofen. Well, and I also thought it was- Oh. I also thought- I was taking a lot of that...
• 28:34
I thought it was all along- And at night- You gotta get it on board, like, before you start that- Oh... ascend.
• 28:39
Like, even when you're, if you're driving f- you know, like heading to those higher alleys, get about 800 on board- Mm... and then start going, and it helps a ton.
• 28:50
Doesn't necessarily, if you get nauseous, it doesn't help with that, but, like- I didn't really get nauseous. It was just- Yeah... like my body was just hating me. Yep. I, ibuprofen is definitely key.
• 28:58
So I think, I think Prescott is, like, uh, 5 to 7,000 feet, and, and Flag is more like nine. 9,000 in Flag. Yeah. So f- I mean, I could, I could- So that's probably more than Montana...
• 29:09
I could, uh, you know, f- so I thought Prescott, to me- Depends on where you're at in Montana... Prescott to me made, yeah, you're right. It does make- Yeah... a difference there.
• 29:17
But Prescott to me made me feel like I was just sluggish riding. Flag's a fucking hurt. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Like, the f- the fir- you start, you know. We did, I don't remember the name of the trail, but [coughs]
• 29:28
we started up at, and it's a good climb to the top. And then when you, on the way up, just, like, the first, I don't know, two miles, I was just, like, gasping and my chest just hurts, you know?
• 29:39
And then, then you kinda, like, settle in, and then you're okay. And then you can just, like, you just kinda focus and ride slow and keep going. That's about all I could do. Yep. Yeah. I knew I wasn't gonna get first.
• 29:50
Um, and so I just kind of, like, on the climbs I just took it easy, and then on the downhills and the, like, flats, I just sprinted out on there. Um, but yeah, so the race was in Medora, North Dakota. Yep.
• 30:02
And then it was so close to the border, so then we went to Glendive, Montana, and that was fun, too. Um- The bars you went to looked awesome... we just kinda toured. Yeah.
• 30:10
There was a lot of, the, um, North Dakota one where we had to camp out for a while, 'cause it was down... When it rains there, it rains.
• 30:18
Like, all of a sudden it went from, like, super dry to it, like, washed out the trails there. Like, it flooded everywhere. Wow. And, um, so we camped out at this bar that was right by our hotel, and it was super fun.
• 30:30
They had, like, 1.50 happy hour, so it was super cheap. What? And they had, like, really good nachos and everything. Yeah. It's, like, almost as cool as 66 cent beers. Almost. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it's better- The-...
• 30:41
'cause it's, like, all the rails... or, or the, or the- Nothing's fucking better than 66 cent beers. [laughs] Never. No way. All right. I'll let you have it.
• 30:47
I, I ha- I don't have that on here right now, but I do have that. Yeah.
• 30:50
I, that's under getting r- r- I, uh- Um, that sounds like we, when I was in, we were in, uh, Florida for Frozen Four, and I was riding, we were riding on the paved trail.
• 30:59
You know, six years ago, that paved trail didn't have anybody out, and now it's just packed with fucking e-bikes and roadies doing a draft line. Ugh. That's the dumbest fucking combination I've ever seen in my life.
• 31:07
I think he's a little mad about it. And, and then there was, but there was this- So mad... there was this, it looked like a big house or business, but I couldn't tell what it was. It was a, it was an American Legion,
• 31:15
and [laughs] you had to have the code to get in the door, so some guy opened the door for me, and I go in there, and I ordered a Bloody Mary because it was one with, like, lunch on it. Oh.
• 31:24
And then a can of ginger ale, right? $3.50, and I'm like- Oh my God... what? And she goes, "Well, it'd be cheaper if you, if you remember." [laughs] I'm like, "But for what?" Oh my gosh. It gets cheaper?
• 31:34
It's cheaper if you remember. For that? I'm like, I'm like, so the ca- Is it basically free at that point? [laughs] Yeah. They, they, they, they- Are you paying me to drink this shit? Yeah.
• 31:41
They, they, they charge you $2 for the Bloody Mary, and then they make you pay, they give you... Stop it. [laughs] Let's fucking go. No, I'm not talking to you. Clarky wants to talk, too. There's Clark.
• 31:49
Welcome to the podcast, Clarky. You're not on the show. Yeah. Clark, stop it. No, words for you. He says, "Quit your bitching." That's what he's saying. I will make you go in. He's got words for you.
• 31:57
[laughs] Now I want a fucking Bloody Mary. Right? Oh, we could do that. Next week. Next, next, next show. Mm-hmm. Do you want to do it next week or the week after? Do you want to do, we can do- I can do whenever...
• 32:06
so the thing is, is, is if any- if you listen to both podcasts, uh, Gomez is... or Gomez, Jesus Christ, that's gonna go over well. Um, so those guys- [laughs] The Full Spectrum guys are moving into a new building.
• 32:18
And- Mr. Gomez, are you there? [laughs] No. He was, he was at the race, though. [laughs] At which race? At, uh, at Osage, and we had this set up called- He was there?
• 32:26
Oh, yeah, we had this- Now I'm even more sad I didn't go. Well, yeah, well, no, he w- I don't think he was happy with us because we had this whole set up going, and we did not interview him.
• 32:33
[laughs] I was just- That is kind of a dick move. Wow. Dick move. Yeah. I like those. Let's fucking go. Why? Just 'cause he used to- [laughs] Just because he was my boss? We're pissing people off. No, no. He is.
• 32:42
Dude, the guy would never put ours on his fucking... We, Spinner and I did a thousand of these, and he would not put any of them on there. He'd rather the- You and fucking Spinner. Yeah. Well- I ain't listening to that.
• 32:52
Yeah, but he, no. That's like listening to paint dry. No, he, he would, ugh, he would- I'm kidding. I love you and Spinner. You guys are fucking the best. [laughs] He would rather, he would rather, he would rather...
• 32:59
He did call me up one time and say, "Hey, would you like to be on a podcast where we're gonna talk about the pluses and minuses of having a dropper post on a fat bike?" That sounds terrible.
• 33:08
I said, "Did you just want me to call you up and cocksuck you guys for 15 minutes?" [laughs] Oh my gosh. And he, and he didn't do it. And they did, the guy, and I, you know, no offense intended.
• 33:15
I can't- Pushed his glasses to the bridge of his nose... I, [laughs] I can't remember- Fucking nerd... I can't remember who the guy was that was on there.
• 33:20
He did, like, 30 minutes of rebuilding a, a, a, uh, a, uh, dropper post. Now, that being said- 30 minutes on a dropper post?... that being said, there was a dropper post on the bike I rode out there. Mm-hmm.
• 33:30
And I really didn't use it. However, when I was screwing around out here on my f- on my single speed, I had the seat a little bit high 'cause I had to ride home, and I think I would've liked to have a dropper post.
• 33:40
[laughs] Oh, it comes, the truth comes out. There's a birth- there's a birthday- He will own an e-bike one day. There's a b- [laughs] We'll eventually wear him down. Eventually.
• 33:47
There's a birthday coming up here, and I think it's starting to affect me a little bit. [laughs] Just gotta chip a- just gotta chip away at him, like- Yeah... "God, a dropper post. It'll be great."
• 33:55
There's no chipping away at anything. [laughs] I'm tr- I'm trying to... You guys just con- con- continue talking. Oh, the cool thing about the bars out west is they do, like, their brands.
• 34:03
Like, a lot of people post their brands. Like, they'll either draw them or, like, actually stamp their brands on the bars. Yeah. So that was pretty cool. That is cool. There was a cool bar- Like, in the bar?
• 34:12
Like, what do you mean? Like- Like, on the ceilings or- Yeah, okay... in the bathrooms. So then you, like, show up, and there's just all these brands everywhere, and it's, like, all the different ranchers in the area.
• 34:21
I thought that was cool. That's pretty cool. Yeah, that was cool. You got a lot of good, good pics. A lot of the bars are cool, too. Mm-hmm. Kayla's very good at documenting her trips. I try.
• 34:29
Like, whether, like- Oh, I know. I agree, yeah, yeah... there's still a lot that I miss. Especially, especially social, like, on Snap. Yep. Snapchat is where it's at.
• 34:36
It's like, her Snap, her Snap story- 'Cause if I do post something or she, it's gone the next day. That's what I like about it. [laughs] I usually, I usually wait for, like, her trips,
• 34:44
and I'm like, especially, like, if it's, like, a Friday through Sunday trip, like, I'm waiting until Sunday. [laughs] I have to find- It's hard, it's hard- Oh... as hard as it is, I'm like- That's br- I'd never...
• 34:53
like, all of a sudden, I'm like, "Oh, she's added to her story. She's got more in her story," and I'm like, "Don't do it. Wait." [laughs] Yeah.
• 35:00
No, that, like- 'Cause once you see the progression of Kayla- Then you s- oh my goodness, like zero- It was probably rather entertaining this weekend- [laughs]...
• 35:05
'cause I looked at mine later- No, that's a brilliant idea. I don't know why I don't do that... everybody's like, "Your Snaps were hilarious from this weekend." It's 0 to 100 on Friday or whatever the first day is.
• 35:12
[laughs] And then, like, the, the Saturday or the n- the second day Snaps come in a little later. [laughs] Like, recovery Kayla is not as, uh- Yeah... is not as social. [laughs] Yeah.
• 35:23
But then you, you can see, like, second wind hits, and there she is again. And then it turns into just, like, that first, that second day, like the full day, then it's like, oh.
• 35:34
'Cause just like anything else, that's the struggle. Yeah. 'Cause you probably hit it hard the first night, and you're like- Always do... the next day, you're like, "Ugh." And you got, like, you got two choices.
• 35:45
You can shut it down and hydrate, or you can just fucking get back on the horse. Let it ride. No. Let it ride. [laughs] This is not, no, no. And you gotta, and, like- There's no sitting and hydrating for, uh-...
• 35:52
the latter is how I always do it, right? Yep. It's like, I don't know that I can do that anymore. Um, 'cause, like- I said I wasn't gonna drink tonight, and then I was like, "Nah, I'm gonna drink tonight."
• 36:02
[laughs] But either way, like- Did you say that to yourself? 'Cause I, I, I never heard that. Yeah. I didn't say anything about it. I was gonna say that. I- I was gonna put out a warning, but I knew myself.
• 36:10
And then she shows up with a fu- I know myself. There was, she shows up with a fucking gallon- Yeah, I was gonna say, Old Smoky... I showed up with three bottles of whiskey. [laughs] Yeah. I, I had one glass.
• 36:18
I went- I wasn't gonna drink tonight, guys. [laughs] Just keeping it casual. Yeah. But if anybody who's out there that doesn't follow Kayla on social, like Snap, Facebook, wherever you're at- Kayla1969. You're welcome.
• 36:28
[laughs] It is, like... And even when it's just, like, a casual- 1969... like, you know, gonna ride around town or whatever, it's like, it's usually got a pretty, pretty- If there's shenanigans, I'm gonna be there...
• 36:39
pretty good time going... or at least create some. Well, that's like, that's, that's the funny part- But she captures so much of the shenanigans...
• 36:43
you should, you should've heard the drama- Like, I just wanna put a camera on her, like, just all day... there was, you should've heard the drama in her head, 'cause I could hear it standing next to her.
• 36:51
[laughs] Debating about coming down that Friday before. "Ah, I should stay in town." Oh my gosh. "I should come down and hang out with you guys." Well, Spinner was really- "Da, da, da, da, da"...
• 36:57
almost talking me into it. Was he? I could tell he was disappoint- Well- 'Cause as soon as he shows up, he's like, "Hell yeah, you're coming to the race." Yeah. And I was like, "Nope, just tonight." Yeah.
• 37:06
It was, it was- That's gotta be disappointing for anybody that does follow 'Cause, like, you roll up and it's like, "Yep, it's fucking going down." [laughs] And then you're like, "No, no, no. Just a one night thing."
• 37:17
He's like my hype man over here. 100%. I really appreciate it. [laughs] I live vicariously through your Snap story. [laughs] You just need to come join, bud.
• 37:25
Yeah, well- Just- You know, I'm not retired or a single lady here. Like, I got kids and a family and shit, so, like- Well, don't worry. But they don't like you. [laughs] Well, that's...
• 37:34
Again, I have to force people- I hear excuses... to hang out with me. [laughs] Fucking running out of money, Ron. Like, like, you, you know what? You come and hang out with us, you don't have to pay for friends.
• 37:42
What's my bill tonight? [laughs] Like 40 bucks? Fuck. [laughs] I still have to pay you. Fuck off. I know. Yeah. I don't know. Oh, I forgot my, forgot my, forgot my wallet this round, Brad. I- [laughs] You got me?
• 37:54
I'm trying to make this one short and it's not gonna fucking happen. I'm sorry. No. What do we got next? Huh? That never exists- Where's the bell?... with me. Well, but- Ours always goes over. So are we...
• 38:01
Okay, so- Can anybody reach the beer? And- Yep... okay. Maybe. You got this? Just trying to- Do we need to ring the bell? What's our next... Do we have a- Oh, here. [bell rings] What are- I got a bill.
• 38:12
I don't think I do. I got... I'm next. It's your turn. Here, how about if I get them? I'll keep talking. You keep talking. Okay. You guys talk. Yeah, so- So follow Kayla. What was your- Can I have my shit?
• 38:17
What was your Snap? And, like, give us all that stuff. K-W-O-W-W-1-9-6-9. Okay. Snap me. Write that down. [laughs] Rewind, listen to that, all four listeners of this podcast. [laughs] All right.
• 38:31
If you don't like it, then I'll drink it. Oh. Octoberfest? Dash German, yeah. A little dirt. All right. Um, okay. So South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana.
• 38:40
And then I came back for a couple days, and then I joined the Jackhammers for the Tour de Pepin. That's right. They've been trying to recruit me to do that ride for a few years. It's always such a busy weekend.
• 38:49
Ooh, that's good. And so I finally did that, and we did, uh, just over 50 miles. Um, but roaders... What's that? Throwing shit. Presents. Corky, give it to me. Corky, you gonna grab it? Corky ain't gonna grab it.
• 39:01
He's just gonna jump, jump on your lap for the cuddles. Ooh, I get presents. So I did Tour de Pepin with the Jackhammers. That's where it went from zero to 100 to- That's what I was talking about.
• 39:11
[laughs] Aw, these are cool. Jacking off is fun and cool. [laughs] Do what you want, God is fake. [laughs] Okay, we got some decals. Wet dreams don't dry. [laughs] All ye no ha. That's, that's definitely me.
• 39:25
That's pretty good. Same party, new underwear. [laughs] Or just don't wear any. [laughs] Did, did I not... We went through this already. Dance in underwear, definitely an optional. Did I not send these to you?
• 39:35
Or they're- Uh, you sent some of these. I may be laying in the gutter, but I'm looking at the stars. [laughs] I don't know who Abby is, but we're gonna be friends. Yep. [laughs] Abby needs to get on the pod.
• 39:46
Um, shut up and party, that's definitely what I say. Yep. No toys in the kitchen. [laughs] Wait, wait. We, we did- You know what? There's a special drawer for that.
• 39:56
[laughs] Oh no, wait, we're gonna get to the better one. Pardon my loud drinking. Not everything needs to be a sticker. [laughs] And place dildo here. [laughs] Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yep.
• 40:08
Oh my God, I'm getting no cooperation. You gotta, like, those gotta go on, like, a helmet or something. Oh. Oh, okay. They're all going on my single speed bike, probably. There we go. Zero to 100.
• 40:18
[laughs] So the Jackhammer Tour de Pepin ride was super fun, 'cause again, we go zero to 100. So the first bar, uh, that we stopped at was Top Hat, and, uh, I really love... There's a whiskey bar next door.
• 40:30
We didn't go there, but I was trying to get everybody over there, but it was pretty early. Like, we got there at, like, 9:00 or 9:30. And of course, we're starting credit card roulette, and I lost [laughs] first round.
• 40:41
Son of a bitch. Uh, but it was fine. It was a good stop. So do you play, like, true credit card roulette- Like-... or does your card come out after the next, at the next place?
• 40:49
N- uh, like, we have a baseball cap and everybody- Yeah... puts their credit card in. But, like- And the last one, they have to pay for the round. Right. But then i- if you go to the next spot, do you have to still...
• 40:59
And do it again? Do you, do you still put your card in? Like, we pretty much do it every bar. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah. Like, if you paid the last one, do you, they pull yours out? Nope. Yeah, okay.
• 41:08
We, we do the same way, and it's, like, true, like, winning. Yeah, 'cause Casey gets mad, 'cause there's a lot of times where- Yeah... he's in the last four, like- Yep...
• 41:15
back to back, and he's like, "Goddamn, I'm gonna pay for another round." Yeah, I had, like, a $500 night on credit card roulette, 'cause I kept getting- Oof, yeah... I kept getting drawn. [laughs] Yeah.
• 41:23
I was like, "Are you f- you guys are fucking with me." See, I love playing anyways, 'cause I love buying people shots, so for me, it's just an excuse to get everybody to ha- take shots with me. To get on your level.
• 41:32
So, yeah. Everybody else trying to go 0 to 60. [laughs] You have to do 100. Yeah. [laughs] 9:50. The whiskey- Can you just take a shot with me? [laughs] The wis- the whiskey bar would've been zero to 120. Oh, man.
• 41:41
[laughs] Yeah, it was a bit early. That's a good night cap- like, that's a good ending spot is the whiskey bar.
• 41:47
So for, for Kayla, I think you need to understand that not everybody is built like you to, like, handle that- I am slowing down a little bit... bullshit. People can hang. I don't think so.
• 41:57
I hear stories from the road or crew, like, "That lady..." Who, who else do you know besides Casey? Well, so- Well, Casey's not road or he's Jackhammer. Oh, no, I'm sorry, I'm...
• 42:08
So I was thinking, I was thinking of Jackhammer. Yeah. Yeah. So I guess Brett talks about it. I don't know if he rides with you guys or not, but- He didn't end up going this weekend. Yeah.
• 42:16
But there were a fair amount of roaders that went. I felt kinda bad, 'cause I had designated that I was gonna go with Jackhammer, and then we actually got enough roaders to go.
• 42:24
But they were kinda on a different wavelength. And then, uh- What-... the Johnson brothers, my favorite, they showed up, and then Casey got all jealous. Johnson and Johnson? Who are the Johnson brothers?
• 42:33
They should definitely make that decal. Yeah. Who are the Johnson brothers? Um, they're some new guys on the road or team that go on Ragbrai every year. Their mom lives in Wabasha, so the Tour de- Oh...
• 42:44
Pepin is, like, kind of their family- Yeah... Christmas. Okay. Oh, neat. And their mom, oh my gosh, I fucking love her. Is that where you guys stayed? Um- No, that was at- We, when we go to Wabasha, we stay at Todd's.
• 42:55
That's what it was. Yeah. Oh, that was Todd. The- Todd was a beast this weekend. He carried me in. I almost got a KOM on that last stretch from Top Hat. He's on his fucking e-bike. No. Wasn't he?
• 43:05
He doesn't have an e-bike, dude. Yeah, he does. He has a brand new super fancy, like, um, what is it again? N- E-N-V-E, um, Outwest. He, he bought a $15,000 road bike- Oh, shit...
• 43:20
that's custom-built for him- Oh, no, that is, that is-... and he flies on that thing... because he's always been a really good roadie. Yeah. I mean, he's, I mean- He's a strong rider...
• 43:27
yeah, he's a great, he's a great rider. So he carried me in, and then I saw I had, like, half a mile left, so then I sprinted, and I was, like, 10 seconds after the KOM, so I was, like, all excited about that. Nice.
• 43:37
I had to celebrate. [laughs] Yeah. I don't know what you're talking about. Had to drink about it? I, yeah, just another excuse. Yeah. I don't, I don't know what you're talking about. I did great! Let's drink. I sucked!
• 43:44
Let's drink. Yeah, yeah. Fuck it, let's drink. Yeah. [laughs] [laughs] The perfect ending to the Tour de Pepin. There was so many fun bar stops. We ran into some of the Team Extreme guys, too.
• 43:54
Do you know them from RAGBRAI? So where does, where does Tour de Pepin go? No, I don't really know any RAGBRAI teams anymore.
• 43:58
Um, it starts in Lake City, and then it goes around Lake Pepin through, like, Red Wing and that. Sweet. What's this for? Because you're making something. Oh, you want a drink? Yeah. Do you mind? Well, I'm talking.
• 44:09
Oh, okay, then don't make it just yet. [laughs] Yeah, 'cause nobody wants to listen to us. So the perfect, the unfortunate ending- Huh? Nobody wants to listen to just us. No, I wanna hear the story. I don't- Yeah, sorry.
• 44:17
You shush. You make the drink. Did you see my Snap, so of Casey's derailleur busting off- Yes... his bike? Yeah. So apparently he crashed.
• 44:24
I didn't realize that, 'cause I was, like, right behind him, and then all of a sudden I saw that he was, like, flipping over his bike. And then, yeah, his whole derailleur just broke, sheared off.
• 44:33
But the convenient part was is it's, like, literally.01 miles from a strip club. [laughs] Oh, that just sucks. So convenient. Horrible. [laughs] So my best- Goll darn it...
• 44:44
friend Mike and I, like, went running over there. Son of a gun. Shucks, I guess we, I guess- They were nice girls. They really loved my hair. Yeah. [laughs] Shucks, I guess we gotta stop. [laughs] Yeah.
• 44:53
[laughs] Only two of us went, and they gave us a curfew. They're like, "You only have 25 minutes," so we made the most of it. Did you take a picture of her? No. I will. You need to. No, well, I kinda did.
• 45:03
I thought we were about to go. You should take a picture of me taking a shot- She's, she's an ab-... from my handlebars. Oh, yeah, yeah, we'll do that. That would be the best thing.
• 45:07
She's an absolute rockstar apparel right now. [laughs] Move the mic so they can see. You're so excited. [laughs] There we go. God, that's a horrible picture. Why is that so bad?
• 45:19
Okay, why did we let the fucking baby boomer take the photo? Do I need to take one? [laughs] No, I just, I think- The baby boomer.
• 45:24
[laughs] I think, no, I think it's, I think it's the, it's the, it's the light up above her just makes it- Oh, come on... a horrible picture. Rub your fucking thumb over it, boomer. I'm just outshining all the light.
• 45:31
That's the problem. Yeah, that's what it is. I'm too bright. No, it's just- But yeah, I have rainbow hair right now, and so that way nobody could lose me on the Tour de Pepin. And I- Was that, was that reason for...
• 45:40
Where'd you have it done at? Um, I bought the stu- it was like $15 for this. Oh, you did it? And then, well, I was gonna do it, but I didn't have time, so I went to, uh, Cashmere Lux.
• 45:50
They do, like, African American braiding stuff. Oh, cool. And so they did, did it there. But yeah, it was a huge hit at the strip club. They loved it. I can imagine. They bring you on stage?
• 46:00
No, but I might have a new side gig of braiding girls' hair for them. [laughs] There you go. Fucking bubble braids, let's go. [laughs] Yeah. So if you go to Sugars and you see pretty hair, it's probably done by me.
• 46:12
[laughs] Sugars? Nice. Hair by Kayla. Stripper hair by Kayla. [laughs] That strip club is kinda weird 'cause they don't really have, like... You know, normally you have, like, the back section, and that's, like, the VIP.
• 46:23
Mm-hmm. They just had a corner [laughs] of the club. Classy place, man. Really? [laughs] Yeah. And so if you- Wow... wanted, like, a special- So is it a-... incentive, you were just out in the open with everybody else.
• 46:34
[laughs] So are there, like, people over there just, like, creeper, like, staring? Yeah. Oh my gosh, that's my favorite- Yeah... is, like, watching all the creepy old guys and, like, [laughs] how much fun they're having.
• 46:43
Careful, that's Chewy. Yeah. [laughs] I don't know. I've never- No... I've never been a- He would be very classy about it. I'm not, I'm mouth- I don't know... mouth open, breathing.
• 46:51
I, uh- No, they all know him when he walks in. And they're like, "Oh, that's-" "Chewy!" There was a time where- Oh, people apparently knew us when we walked in, and I was like, "Oh, shit, I need to go."
• 46:59
[laughs] Follow you on social. That's what it is. I, [laughs] Like, "That's her. That's that bitch right there." Well, they were really interested in my friend that was with me. They're like, "Hey, is he from Rochester?"
• 47:09
And I'm like, "Maybe. Who's asking?" [laughs] Who calls somebody out at a strip club? Like, just a- It's like his sister. Yeah. [laughs] No, but it was some guy who- It's my cousin, it's my cousin, Val.
• 47:19
Some stripper knows me. Is she hot? No, it was your sister, bro. He was really interrogating me about my friend, and I was like, "You know, you just don't call somebody out at a strip club."
• 47:27
I don't- "What happens here stays here." [laughs] She's- I haven't, bro... with no code, for sure. [laughs] I don't, I must have gotten old, 'cause we don't do strip clubs anymore. Yeah. We just,
• 47:35
there was a, there was a hockey- It's just entertainment, man... we're, when we were trav- oh, yeah, we're travel- Lumberyard? We were traveling hockey, it was like, yeah. Those BYOB ones in Iowa were- Oh, yeah...
• 47:43
so much fun. Oh my God. The one at- The one at the airport at Waterloo, ooh. [laughs] Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, no. That was the best. Or, um- Full time. I'll never forget when that stripper picked up the beer with her hoo-ha.
• 47:53
[laughs] What? And then smashed it on her forehead and chugged it. Like, the videos. What, where was this? Yeah. At the fucking Lumberyard. We have to go. Reached down in our cooler, set it on the bar,
• 48:04
uh, picked it up, and not with her hands. Like- I hear this is also on the agenda for Brad's birthday week. [laughs] Oh. This could be arranged. [laughs] Yeah.
• 48:15
I- It was kind of funny watching all of- We're going down to Iowa... like, watching all of the hockey guys.
• 48:19
Like, I'm like, I'm watching it, and I look over my shoulder, and I turn around, and all I see is jaws on the fucking stage. [laughs] They're all just like, "Oh my God."
• 48:28
Like, I'm pretty sure one guy was like, "Marry me, uh, right now." Oh, of course. Yeah. That was- Just go with Kayla... smashed it on her head and then chugged it.
• 48:34
So can we, can we talk shit about people that are dead now? Because that was Dickman. Like, there was- Oh, 100%... there was a pregnant chick dancing in Waterloo. Oh, there always is. And, and he was in fucking love.
• 48:42
Mm-hmm. I'm just like, "No." I think it's the same girl. [laughs] Yeah. She's just- Forever pregnant? She's just always pregnant... they just keep her knocked up. Yeah. She, she just works pregnant.
• 48:51
That's just her thing. That's her specialty. I don't know. She also owns an orphanage. Like, it's not a big deal. The, I, I, and I can, I can honestly say- [laughs]...
• 48:58
I, I, I was actually, can honestly say I was, I was at the, I was at a strip club in Iowa with the, uh, chief of police of Rochester, Minnesota at one point. Yeah, definitely went to a couple, a couple times with Roger.
• 49:07
Uh, dude, you too? Goldfoot. Did, is it- Oh, yeah... that bad to say his name? Yeah, but I don't give a shit. I mean, you can look him up. Yeah. But he, but he, actually, he'd always sit back in the corner- Oh, yeah...
• 49:14
and just cringe the whole time. Oh, he would just hide. And that was, and that was when we were playing for the- Whatever. He was spank banking in the corner. Oh, for sure. [laughs] Probably. He was like, "Here, Brad."
• 49:23
Take this 'Cause, 'cause- Take this 'Cause that was- Take this, take this $20 in ones. Make me proud... that was my third weekend in a row at the same bar playing hockey down there.
• 49:31
We went down there for a, a fossils league meeting, and then we went down there and played, and then we went down for a tournament. So three weekends in a row- God, that was fun... we're just down. Oh, I know.
• 49:38
They were a blast. And, and then he didn't come down until the third time. So like literally you say I walk in the door, and they're all just like, "Hey." Yeah. And I'm like, I'm not gonna sit at a front row.
• 49:44
I'll just sit at the bar and know they're all gonna hang out with me anyway, right? Well, the best part was like- And then everyone was sat by him, and he's just like, "Ah."
• 49:49
[laughs] Were you there that year where like we went and like we're like, "We're just gonna go for one"? Yeah, just for one. And then we- That's always our tagline...
• 49:56
and then it was like, of course, you go in with like, it's a BYOB, so you bring in all your beer. And it was like, next thing you know we shut it down. So then we all kinda like filter off and go to bed.
• 50:06
Well, then like we had to play at like 9:00, so we m- or 10:00, so we met for breakfast at like 8:00. And guess who we see? Nice. Guess who we see at- Get a drink down... we see at breakfast? [laughs] The strippers.
• 50:19
It's like... Yeah. Yeah, that is- I swear, I swear you were there that year. Oh, I was. I was here. We, we went to breakfast- Do you want me to pour it or do you want the ice?... with all the strippers. It was great.
• 50:25
Nah, don't. Go ahead and pour it. I'll do it. I'm okay. M- I'm fine with that. I don't like warm whiskey. But it's nothing like- Oh, I don't think this is it. It's, it's the fridge.
• 50:33
Getting the strippers to- I think she had it. I saw it Do you want it with Sprite or just the whiskey? Just whiskey. What are we pouring? That's my boy. [laughs] Just whiskey. Yeah.
• 50:39
Um, but like nothing like getting the stripper. And the only reason it- How much? The only reason it was funny is I had a $5 bill that like somebody... You know, like they, they put those stamps on them- Yeah...
• 50:50
that are like track me, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, yeah. Oh. And it had this bright green like track me on it. So like we're up there on sniffers row, you know, we're all buying each other lap dances and shit.
• 51:02
And I buy, uh, I buy Petro a lap dance, like with the $5 bill or whatever, and she picked it up and she's like, "What the fuck?" She's like, "Uh, you can track these?"
• 51:14
You know, and we're like talking as she's doing her lap dancing. So the next day we show up at the... I forget what it was, if it was a Perkins or what it was. But anyway, they recognized us.
• 51:24
They're like, "You're the hockey guys from Rochester." I'm like, "Yeah." The strippers work at- Yeah... Perkins in the morning. [laughs] They were at breakfast. Oh, okay. So like- I thought they were their strippers...
• 51:34
no, they were at, they were at breakfast. So they were like, "Oh, yeah." So the, a couple of them came over and started talking.
• 51:40
They bought our breakfast, but the best part was when they paid, they like threw down a bunch of cash, obviously from the night before, and the $5 bill that I gave. [laughs] So it was obviously like our money.
• 51:52
It's like all of a sudden, boom, there's that $5 bill. So it's like, "Thanks for breakfast." They're like, "You bought it." Like- [laughs] Oh, my God. That's great...
• 51:59
they're like, "We had a, we had a great night last night because of you guys." Like, we dumped a ton of money there. Nice. But it was so fun. It was our whole team. Hold on. Let's see if this works. Hello? Hey, hey.
• 52:09
What? Hey. [laughs] Miss your face. There we go. There, that one. Hey. [laughs] We're talking about strip clubs. Do you have some, uh, stories to contribute to this? Wait, wait, hold on. We need an introduction first.
• 52:18
I'm sorry. Oh, yeah. Everybody. So rude. [laughs] Shan, sh- we... This is the first time we've done a call-in. Yeah, this is weird. Shan is calling from- I can't believe you figured it out. On this equipment, though.
• 52:26
Yeah. No, I don't think- Yeah, direct from Decorah, Iowa. Yeah. You sound good. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Much better than in person. I, uh, I mean- [laughs] Whoa, hey. Well, I feel kinda good.
• 52:34
I've had quite a few drinks tonight, so- Nice... life is great. Hey, so tell us about your bike ride. [laughs] Like what? All like six miles of it? [laughs] Yeah. Let's hear it. Right now? Start from the top. Uh, yeah.
• 52:47
No, it was me heading towards the fish hatchery from Freeport, and then getting a call that my friends were at the bar, and I'm like, "Fuck it." Went, came home, dropped my bike off, and drove to the bar.
• 52:56
[laughs] Oh, yeah. Why make the- That's what I did... why make the logical decision and ride your bike to the bar? Let's drive there. It's like- [laughs] I know. I know. No.
• 53:04
[laughs] Because then I can just drive home after I've been drinking- [laughs]... instead of biking home after drinking. It's a bike trail from her house to every bar. I didn't have a jacket, so I would've gotten cold.
• 53:13
Oh, that's... Yeah. Then that totally makes total sense. Oh, come on. That makes total sense. Yeah. I'm a little bit disappointed in you. I, absolutely. But I still love you. Absolutely. Either way, we're proud of you.
• 53:20
I was thinking. Yeah. We're so proud of you. Thanks. Thanks for calling. I'm glad you called in. Thanks. I didn't know if this was gonna work or not. Yeah. So you tried calling o- on m-... I mean- Clark...
• 53:29
on my regular line and you couldn't get through? Did it say it was like- Yes. I tried calling your cell phone twice... Shannon Clark's line? That's weird, 'cause I didn't get anything. I was watching it. Hey, Clark.
• 53:38
No Where's Mr. Hank at? Inside? He's, oh, he's just being a weirdo tonight. He'll be walking around just barking. Stop it. Oh. Stop. It's okay. Everybody has a bad day, Hank. Clark, he's just so... Oh. But yeah.
• 53:50
Does he usually- So I tried calling your cell phone number twice, and it just goes directly to voicemail. Oh, that's weird. So I'm like, "Dude, you asked me to call you, and then you don't even have your phone on you."
• 53:58
No, I did. It was on. It j- It's definitely on... that's why I said use the Snap, and it worked. It had nothing on. Uh-oh. Did you get a new phone? Are you s- It, it's on s- Huh? Did you get a new phone? No.
• 54:06
I've had this for like a year or so. What's all the background noise? That's her ph- That, sometimes this happens when- Well, if you'd quit leaving it by fire hydrants, maybe your phone would work.
• 54:18
[laughs] You know, it kinda likes that spot. You should don't- You're, you're like- And lots of people like to find it, so we're good. So you're sitting, so you're sitting on the deck drinking wine now?
• 54:28
I am drinking wine now. So yeah, it's gonna be a bad day tomorrow. Beer, and then wine, and yeah. I know. And, and somebody else just brought more, uh, whiskey over. I have the cookie dough one too. Oh.
• 54:38
I'll try to save you some. Oh, yeah. The, the... Is this the peach one? I was gonna say- That's the peach one. Is that that old smoky stuff? Yep. Yep. It's from- Yeah, I figured. She's got like a gallon. I figured.
• 54:46
She's got like a gallon of peach ring juice, whatever it is. Yeah, she said she wasn't gonna drink tonight, and she brings a gallon jug to make herself a drink in. Yeah. Right?
• 54:53
[laughs] I was gonna say beer and- So you guys should get to drink it... is there any other serving? I don't... This is one serving. Yeah. I don't know what to tell you. [laughs] What serving would you like, ma'am?
• 55:01
All of it. Yeah. [laughs] A gallon. Just one gallon, please. One bottle, please. [laughs] Yeah. Beer and wine, that's breakfast for Kayla. [laughs] On a Tuesday. Well, this works out- Yeah... this works out really good.
• 55:11
You sound good. I don't know what it sounds like on your end, but you sound really good on this end. I don't know. You guys sound great. Like,
• 55:18
like, well, it'll be interesting to see what it sounds like when we rec- when we send in the recording. Mm-hmm. But this is, like, better than the other stuff I've heard. Yeah.
• 55:24
Like, so, so Sven now has got a portable unit, and he did, if you go out, if you go to full- Who has a portable unit? Sven? Yeah. Well, Greg and whoever With his partner, Ollie? Yeah. [laughs] Or just by himself?
• 55:35
[laughs] Lena, Lena. Oh, yeah. I mean, 'cause, or Lena, okay.
• 55:38
Um- So he, so he's been on, so he's added a new podcast to this tribe of podcasts, and it's, uh, um, I think it's On The Road With Sven or whatever it is, and like they, they were doing a- Oh, yeah...
• 55:48
they were doing- I heard about that... they were doing a ride.
• 55:50
So I think he's gonna be doing this for a while, so we're gonna pick up the pace a little bit and we're gonna start doing every other week, maybe even if we, if, if, [laughs] like I don't think anybody wants to hear us an hour a week, I don't think, out of this.
• 55:59
But once- Ooh, I could call into the Decorah one. Yeah, we could do that. There you go. Yeah. We'll just flip-flop.
• 56:04
So the, so the next time I'll come down and we'll just call in, 'cause I think I can do two phone calls in. Hmm. So yeah, both of you call in. Double. We could just, Kayla and I could just hang out together. Yeah. Yeah.
• 56:14
We can hang out here. There you go. Same spot. Go sit, go sit, go sit at a bar or go sit on your deck. We'll just come hang out at the shop and drink all of Chewy's beer. Yeah. [laughs] Yeah. [laughs] Yeah.
• 56:21
Bring some with you, please. That sounds like a great plan. [laughs] Well then, so then, so then that works out, 'cause then you guys would be on.
• 56:26
And then you know what I've done before is you could, well, I'd have the system down there. Mm-hmm. 'Cause it, I've used this system to call into shows, and it helps out a ton. Oh, I bet. Oh, okay.
• 56:34
Like when I call into those guys, I use this, and it just, it's just a little bit clearer. It doesn't sound like you're on a phone as much. Yeah. Mm. There's a bit of, there's a- And- Go ahead.
• 56:43
I was gonna say, we'll get you on the other end, and Spinner and I will drink all Chewy's beer in Decorah. [laughs] Nice. So then he's not gonna have anything to drink anywhere.
• 56:50
[laughs] We'll just drink him out of house and home. I'm sure. [laughs] That's right. Oh, if you're gonna drink that, there is so much booze at that house in Decorah.
• 56:57
Well, fuck, we're going to- Well, I keep on bringing a little bit down- Yeah... every time I go. [laughs] I know, what's really funny was, so that- Kayla's always gonna bring him booze...
• 57:03
that Fri- that Friday night, we, uh, Drew brought over a bottle of Jim Beam. We never touched it, 'cause we had, you'd brought gallons of booze with you.
• 57:10
And he's- And then, and then about a week ago, I noticed he took it home. [laughs] Oh, yeah, I'm taking my booze. Did you take it home?
• 57:15
Yeah, well, he must have, 'cause it was, it was in- Did it end up in your- Yeah, unless, unless Shannon or somebody else went in the garage and grabbed it, but it was on, it was in the garage, and then it was gone.
• 57:22
Well, fuck. Did he end up going to the Osage ride, too? No. Oh. He backed out last minute. He did not, no. Yeah. And it, and it, and probably good, because- It probably a good thing he did not... yeah.
• 57:30
That was, that was a bit of a walk for him to get back to where the, where the shenanigans were going on, and I don't, I don't think he could've handled that- Mm... or coming out anyway. Yep. It was fun.
• 57:40
Billy's Bar was a good place to be. I know. We're planning on, so you missed it, 'cause you dialed in late, but that wasn't your fault. [laughs] Well, sorry. I was drinking. That wasn't your fault.
• 57:49
Something was going on. [laughs] Yeah. Yep. I'm here now. That's a good excuse. Wow. So we're talking about going down to Osage and hitting that up again. Ooh, mm-hmm. Since I didn't get to join last time.
• 57:59
And Brad's gonna bring his camper. Yeah, that would be fun. And we're gonna talk Spinner into bringing his camper down and yep. Very cool. Yeah.
• 58:05
And I really didn't get to participate either, 'cause I was following Gimpy around and- Oh, that's where you go. I let you go. I just- Yep. That- Holy shit... I know, it doesn't- That was bad...
• 58:15
I don't know why it does that. It w- it went through the wormhole. Do you want me to message her or just let her know that it was really- I got it, yeah. Okay. [laughs] You just kind of abruptly like, "Bye." Oh my God.
• 58:24
I gotta go. No, 'cause you can't listen. Some- sometimes it- it'll come out of that. I've had that happen before when you use the Snap phone. It, it, I don't know where that comes from. That's weird.
• 58:31
Oh, you Snapchat called in? Yeah. Well, she couldn't get call in the other way, so I just- That's why. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Snapchat calling. Snapchat. I was just gonna, I was just gonna try calling her. Oh.
• 58:40
And then she snapped in instead, so. That's why. Gotcha. Snapchat calls are sucks, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, that was, that, that, that's how- The quality is just shit. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
• 58:48
But the, but the sound of it was good. Yeah, it sounded... I wonder what it'd be like on an actual line then, 'cause she sounded really good.
• 58:54
Yeah, and well- Back before when, like, Spinner called in, it sounded like he was in a phone booth. Right. I, so I think this is- Or he might've been... well, [laughs] it is Spinner. At the strip club. [laughs] Yeah.
• 59:02
I, I mean, it'll... Ah, I got, uh, I mean, 15 minutes, guys. I gotta get back in there. [laughs] I'm just hoping that- Pregnant lady's coming back on. [laughs] Should we call her back?
• 59:12
My favorite was probably- Again, I can try calling her back again. Oh. We're gonna, we're only gonna go, like, two more minutes. Oh, okay. Two more minutes. We're at 60, we're at, we're at an hour. Okay. Holy shit.
• 59:20
What else we gotta cover? Nothing. We're gonna, because don't forget, we're doing this again in a week. All right. So, all right. Okay. So I think we covered everything we needed to for now.
• 59:28
Next time we'll get back to, we'll have an, well, well, I'll decide whether you're gonna be, I'm either gonna go down there, and then you guys are gonna call down, or we're gonna go, if we're back here, then we'll have those guys call up.
• 59:38
And we get Spinner. Spinner's so stinking busy. It's hard to get him to do anything.
• 59:42
I mean, he b- I mean, he c- he catches everybody at the bar down there for, like, a little bit some evenings, and that's about all he has time for.
• 59:48
Well, so June 10th is the high school race down there, so that's a week from Saturday. So I'll be down there then for sure, so I don't, we can either do it that evening or Saturday's are tough. That's this weekend.
• 1:00:00
I don't have anything going on. No. Is it this weekend? June 10th is this weekend. Yeah. It's June 5th, bud. Oh, crap. Yeah, we gotta get the trails. So I'm gonna go down this weekend.
• 1:00:10
So we'll do, we'll, we'll do a recap of it after that from down there. We'll make it a little different. Yeah, weekends are gonna be tough until, for me. Yeah. All right. Let's get out of here. That was fun. Bye.
• 1:00:20
Thanks, you guys. Bye. I think I have music watch. [rock music]
