- 0:00Speaker 1: So how about five tips for a simple podcast to amplify your voice?
- 0:06Speaker 1: It's Teresa again with the Second no More podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm so passionate about you to be able to create a podcast where it doesn't take forever and you're able to amplify your voice, you're able to share your message in a new format.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It might be another tool in your tool belt of marketing.
- 0:24Speaker 1: It might be just something you've desired to do because you know you got a lot inside that you want to share.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I love that.
- 0:31Speaker 1: So I'm going to come to you, maybe a little messy, but with the spirit of excellence, because I want to show you five tips and I want to give you an example, a few examples, of how you can do it.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Now, once again, this is from my heart.
- 0:46Speaker 1: You have a heart, you have a relationship with God, so there's no comparison here.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm just giving you examples.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Okay, here we go.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I want you to first, I want you to imagine this, because you may feel stuck right now and you may feel no purpose.
- 1:01Speaker 1: You may feel like there's a jigsaw going on and you don't know how the jigsaw puzzles fit together.
- 1:08Speaker 1: See, I'm going to come to you as I am, so I want you to imagine your heart like this, like a vintage wine barrel, old, worn, maybe even cracked.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But what if that's where the richest, most flavorful wine comes from?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Not because it's perfect, but because it's been seasoned.
- 1:30Speaker 1: That's how your story works too Flaws and all, and it's been fermenting in the process, fermenting in the grace of God.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I love the making wine analogy because there's so much gold nuggets that you can use for your voice, like the process of getting picked off the vine, being crushed in the fermentation process, in the clarification process, where they remove toxins and then they put you in a wine barrel and it sits in a cold, dark place.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You may be in any process of that, but I believe you can get through it and out of the overflow of your process of being fine wine comes a message the crushing to the agitation.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You know the fermentation process.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I was reading this.
- 2:20Speaker 1: My friend owns a couple vineyards and I've actually traveled there in Australia and visited them and had her husband explain it in a little more technical terms.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But when it's fermentating, do you know how the vinter knows?
- 2:38Speaker 1: The fermentation process is over.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Wine crystals come to the top.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So you are a crystal coming to the top and going to use that to speak.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So let's get to point number one.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Point number one it's not about you.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You're not auditioning for heaven, you're broadcasting from it.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I think when I say it's not about you, this is where you have to let go of the perfect.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You have to realize it's not about performance, it's about the overflow.
- 3:12Speaker 1: It's not about you.
- 3:14Speaker 1: But you may be providing the overflow, but it's not about you being perfect in your podcast episode.
- 3:23Speaker 1: No, I mean, I believe in the spirit of excellence, okay, but if you're so scripted, the authentic you can't flow.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Then you're too scripted.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Think about that.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And this is another thing when it's not about you.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But how do I say this?
- 3:40Speaker 1: When it's not about you, but how do I say this?
- 3:43Speaker 1: You want to speak to the one, like look into that little dot and reach beyond it to someone's heart.
- 3:51Speaker 1: If you're doing a podcast, okay, an episode, and if you just think that maybe one person's going to hear it, that might free you up, talk to that one.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Key number two, tip number two engage their attention.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You can use humor or just the rawness of your heart.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I like this thought podcasting with the Holy Spirit is like baking with grandma messy, but full of legacy and flavor.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Let me give you an example of this, just an example that I would use in a podcast, but I'm using this as an example for this point A while ago.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I'm in a different place season in my life.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm recovering from a double mastectomy and a second surgery.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I've moved to my kid's place and a couple of weeks ago I just felt useless.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I mean moved to my kid's place and a couple weeks ago I just felt useless.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I mean to the core of me.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Have you ever felt useless?
- 4:50Speaker 1: So I was struggling with this and it's like the incisions were still healing and there was still pain.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I was off of my current mode of doing things the way I like to do them, but I sat down with God, coffee and Jesus and this spilled out.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So, giving you an example of this key engage their attention.
- 5:13Speaker 1: So are you feeling useless?
- 5:15Speaker 1: This is what God told me and it could be for you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You are not useless and it could be for you.
- 5:20Speaker 1: You are not useless.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You do what your doctors say Obedience dressed in courage.
- 5:28Speaker 1: You do what your mentor says A quiet lion in the shadows, learning.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But don't confuse adherence with identity.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You're not a label.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You're not a doctor labeled one of a kind case study.
- 5:49Speaker 1: You are not the scars or the scarred skin.
- 5:50Speaker 1: For me, two surgeries, the scariness may be in your heart.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You are not the scarred scissons.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Fill in the blank.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You are not useless.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You are a fire that refused to go out.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You are breath after the storm, whisper of heaven, clothed on earth.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You rise not just from ashes but as gold refined by flame.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So keep moving, keep healing, because the king has called you worthy.
- 6:19Speaker 1: So do you feel that?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Can you engage in that?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Tip number three capture imagination.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Tell a mini story of transformation, like the one that I just said is probably a story of transformation.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I love this point because transformation can come from me and then reach out to someone else.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's important.
- 6:46Speaker 1: This is the number one key on transformation.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You speak from your scars, not your open wounds.
- 6:53Speaker 1: If I spoke from my open wounds it would be no use to you.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It would be like if I speak from the scars of, maybe, a past marriage, I have to make sure that is from the scars, because out of the healing comes keys for you to healing.
- 7:12Speaker 1: So I love key number three Tell a mini story of transformation, but make sure you speak from the scars, not your wounds.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Tip number four is really beautiful.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You touch the heart with truth.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You know nothing is more truthful than the word of God.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I've been challenged by the Holy Spirit to add more of the word in my podcast episodes, so that could be a separate key.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Use truth, but find a verse that speaks to you and from the overflow of that verse you're able to encourage someone.
- 7:48Speaker 1: God reminded me of this phrase the grip of grace.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I wrote a lot about it in the past, but the foundation of it is Romans 15, verse 17.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And this is what it said Death held us in its grip and by the blunder of one man, death reigned as king over humanity.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But now how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal foundation through the gift of a perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Romans 15, verse 17, in the Passion Translation.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So I remember I was needing to be held in the grip of grace because I felt like I was on a merry-go-round.
- 8:33Speaker 1: This goes back quite a few years and I remember, captured by that phrase, and some of the words and thoughts that came out from my journal were something like this when life spins like a wild merry-go-round colors bleeding voices blurring, hope flickering there is a hand, unseen yet unshakable, that never releases its hold.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It is the grip of grace, divine, tender and resolute.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And I continue to write in my journal.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm just sharing it with you.
- 9:10Speaker 1: You are not flung into the unknown, you are cradled in sacred stillness.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Even in the dizzy dance of uncertainty, grace cups your soul like a lullaby sung in the storm.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You are held, beloved, firmly, forever, in the rhythm of his unwavering love.
- 9:30Speaker 1: You can rest in this truth.
- 9:32Speaker 1: You're held in the grip of grace.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You don't have to copy me.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I'm just illustrating point number four about truth.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But it's awesome to be able to not just talk about the keys but really give you some examples.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I hope now your heart's kind of like oh yeah, I can do an example.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Write these five tips down and I'm just going to follow these tips and speak from the overflow.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You can do it, I want you to do it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Tip number five is lead them to a call to action.
- 10:05Speaker 1: What I mean by that, a call to action, is something you have to offer them using, usually in exchange for their email.
- 10:13Speaker 1: What I mean by this is you may have something, a course, a social media group, a business that they may benefit from.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's like this.
- 10:22Speaker 1: This would be my call to action If you want to use your voice to create a podcast from the overflow of your relationship with God, a plan that doesn't take hours creating the podcast, but using two simple AI secrets.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Check out the link in the show notes of this episode Simple direct.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Some people give the call to action before they even go into their episode.
- 10:47Speaker 1: That's fine, but I usually wait till the end.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Or I might say this episode is brought to you by the Stuck no More Academy.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's not that you're just trying to get them to join, but you're trying to provide value.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So they'd say, okay, I have value in that.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Maybe they have something more for me.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Finally, make room for the Holy Spirit from your heart.
- 11:12Speaker 1: You may get into sharing and the Holy Spirit takes over and you're like oh so, don't aim for a crowd, aim for obedience.
- 11:22Speaker 1: If it's got to be a little messy, that's okay.
- 11:29Speaker 1: So I end this.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Five tips for a simple podcast from the overflow of your relationship.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I just want you to tell you simply from my heart you're not stuck.
- 11:37Speaker 1: You're just one overflow away from your breakthrough and it may even happen in your podcast.
