- 1:07Speaker 2: getting some weather here today.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It really is apropos for us to be discussing this
- 1:13Speaker 1: Fall movie because it is pouring down rain here in
- 1:16Speaker 1: southern California. It's it's a novelty. We're very excited about it,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and if you can hear it in the background, that's
- 1:23Speaker 1: what that is.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I actually feel uneasy about it. That's how like you.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Know, that's funny because I feel like that too, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: then I think one, am my worried is going to happen.
- 1:32Speaker 2: It's just because we're not like used to it. I'm
- 1:34Speaker 2: just like, the last time it rained was probably January.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I'm like that, always have a roof leak or something.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I always worry about that too. It's coming down. Yeah, Well,
- 1:46Speaker 1: let's talk Autumn Dreams with a synopsis.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Years after the annulment of their spontaneous marriage, a couple
- 1:53Speaker 2: discovers a mistake in the paperwork that means they are
- 1:57Speaker 2: still husband and wife.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Autumn dream directed by Neil Fernley. Neil was a machine
- 2:02Speaker 1: of a director, with seventy eight directing credits that include
- 2:05Speaker 1: forty six episodes of One Calls the Heart and many
- 2:07Speaker 1: iterations of garage sale mysteries. Sadly, Neil passed in twenty
- 2:11Speaker 1: twenty four after a battle with als.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's so sad. I'm sorry to hear that. Laurie Stevens
- 2:19Speaker 2: wrote Autumn Dreams. This is one of just two writing
- 2:23Speaker 2: credits for Laurie, who also wrote the series time tracks. Guys,
- 2:28Speaker 2: can I just like pause right there? I know I
- 2:30Speaker 2: sound crazy right now.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I don't think you sound that bad. Wendy's a little
- 2:33Speaker 1: bit sick, so, oh my god.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I feel like I'm like a frog.
- 2:37Speaker 1: It doesn't sound that bad, I promise, okay. Jill Wagner
- 2:40Speaker 1: stars as Annie Hancock. Jill most recently appeared in the
- 2:43Speaker 1: series Lioness and will appear in an upcoming holiday film
- 2:46Speaker 1: Cranberry's and Carol's on another network this season.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Cranberry's and Carol's. I Mean that's as chat GPT as
- 2:54Speaker 2: you can get. Colin Egglesfield plays Ben Lawson. Colin's resume
- 2:59Speaker 2: includes shows like The Client List, Melrose Place, Rizzoli and Isles,
- 3:03Speaker 2: and All My Children.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Ken Tremblett plays Hal Hancock. Among Ken's ninety three acting projects,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you'll find a role as Dennis Haskins in the Unauthorized
- 3:12Speaker 1: Save by the Bell Story and appearance on Garage Sale Mysteries,
- 3:15Speaker 1: as well as Wynn Calls the Heart.
- 3:17Speaker 2: He definitely looks like principal mister Belding. Mister Belding, Yeah, yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I used to work for a golf tournament and one
- 3:28Speaker 1: of the pre tournament events was a pro am no
- 3:31Speaker 1: a celebrity am, and he was one of the celebrities.
- 3:34Speaker 1: The celebrity m Yes, Dennis Haskins. Wow, that was in
- 3:38Speaker 1: like the year two thousand, was saved by the Bell?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Still no, no, no, no, no, during those days, I
- 3:44Speaker 1: don't remember. No, it was not Maybee the college years.
- 3:48Speaker 1: But I don't even think even that. No, has he
- 3:51Speaker 1: done anything other than save by the Bell?
- 3:53Speaker 2: I wonder. I'm wondering where Dennis Haskins is.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That's a great question.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I'm surprised he's not on homework.
- 3:59Speaker 1: He's not in the movie.
- 4:00Speaker 2: No, just the guy that looks like him. Rachel Hayward
- 4:03Speaker 2: plays the role of Jessica Hancock. Rachel has one hundred
- 4:06Speaker 2: and thirteen acting credits, most recently appearing in the series
- 4:09Speaker 2: Watson and last year's Hallmark movie A Reason for this season.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Maddi Finocchio plays Tony. We last saw Mattio as Chief
- 4:17Speaker 1: I say, Mattio. We last saw Mattie as chief boyd
- 4:20Speaker 1: Thompson On Providence Falls, Bill.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Dwell plays Driver Hector with one and twenty eight acting credits.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Bill has appeared several times on Hallmark, including several episodes
- 4:31Speaker 2: of One Calls the Heart.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Tassia Tellus plays Giovanna. Tassia has thirty one acting credits
- 4:37Speaker 1: and has most recently appeared in the series Suresy Suresy, Suresy, Yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 1: like Jersey Shuresey. I think so Autumn Dreams was her
- 4:46Speaker 1: only homemark project.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Okay, question for you. HM. When I'm typing up these notes, Giovanna,
- 4:53Speaker 2: I was like, that name does not hit like I
- 4:56Speaker 2: know I remember her saying her name in the movie.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Doesn't sound like it's what it was. I was doing
- 5:01Speaker 1: my notes and I had to scroll back up to
- 5:04Speaker 1: see the name of the character, and I was like,
- 5:06Speaker 1: that's not what I remember her name being at all.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Me here, And I'm like, am I saying it wrong?
- 5:12Speaker 2: Or is it wrong in IMDb?
- 5:17Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And I'm too lazy to go back and put the
- 5:20Speaker 2: movie on to see when she introduces herselves, all right.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Michael Carl Richards plays Joe. Michael has appeared in a
- 5:28Speaker 2: ton of Hallmark movies, including Open By Christmas, Sweet Autumn,
- 5:32Speaker 2: and You're Baking Me Crazy.
- 5:34Speaker 1: We are going to take a quick break and we're
- 5:35Speaker 1: gonna come right back with first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what
- 5:47Speaker 1: was your first impression of Autumn Dreams?
- 5:50Speaker 2: This week, Amy Winslow trades crime scenes for corn Fields.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna talk about it and my wishes.
- 6:00Speaker 1: My first impression is I think we all know what
- 6:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk about in my wishes.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know. I'm excited. Let's talk like, Oh,
- 6:10Speaker 2: I know I have it too. Okay, let's talk likes.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Can I start?
- 6:15Speaker 2: Sure?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Maddy freaking Finocchio is the star of this movie.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 6:21Speaker 1: He's such a delight his accent, his attitude. I loved
- 6:26Speaker 1: everything about Tony Tony.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I agree. I imagine that there are some I didn't
- 6:36Speaker 2: look at the IMDb reviews, but I imagine there are
- 6:40Speaker 2: some who are like, Oh, this guy with his fake
- 6:43Speaker 2: accent and fun and is like over the top.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You know it has seven point four rating on it.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I really I loved Matty Finocchio in this world. I'm like,
- 6:57Speaker 2: we've been saying for a long time, give this guy
- 6:59Speaker 2: lead role. I mean, he did have a really big
- 7:01Speaker 2: role in Providence Falls.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah, so I guess we got there. But I thought
- 7:06Speaker 1: he was damn delightful. I hope we see him in
- 7:09Speaker 1: Countdown to Christmas. If I did a message Eric Tavley
- 7:13Speaker 1: asking if we would see him in Countdown to Christmas,
- 7:15Speaker 1: he ghosted us. He left me on read maybe he
- 7:21Speaker 1: just can't say. Maybe he's too busy. Maybe usually sometimes
- 7:26Speaker 1: he'll give us a nugget. That's too bad. Speaking of
- 7:30Speaker 1: supporting characters, uh huh. I also loved Sweet Hector, the chauffeur.
- 7:37Speaker 1: What is that look on your face? That dude was creepy.
- 7:43Speaker 2: That's why I texted you to ask if you had
- 7:45Speaker 2: watched the movie, because I was like, I need to
- 7:47Speaker 2: talk about this one character.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You read him as creepy. I read him as paternal
- 7:53Speaker 1: and loving and warm and kind.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about it in my wishes.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Well, I am going to go on record as saying
- 8:00Speaker 1: I really enjoyed sweet Hector. I thought he was exactly
- 8:05Speaker 1: like I said, paternal and loving and warm and kind
- 8:07Speaker 1: and supportive both to Annie and to Ben.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I got the dick.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, didn't you think poor Bill Dow wasn't
- 8:19Speaker 1: that giving?
- 8:20Speaker 2: Like Pretty Woman vibes to you? Like remember Pretty Woman
- 8:24Speaker 2: where I can't even remember the actors, and he's very famous,
- 8:28Speaker 2: and he like helps her, he helps Julia Robert, it's
- 8:32Speaker 2: along I can't. He's the one who like sets up
- 8:35Speaker 2: the dinner where she can like practice how to eat
- 8:37Speaker 2: and all that.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't remember who it is, but okay.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Anyway, it gave me that same sort of feeling.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Okay, we'll talk to me about what you liked.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Is that all you like?
- 8:47Speaker 1: Now?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Okay, First, I want to say, overall, I thought this
- 8:50Speaker 2: movie was good me too, in a very typical Hallmark
- 8:54Speaker 2: kind of way. It was better than some we've watched
- 8:57Speaker 2: in this little collection of fall movies. I thought I
- 9:00Speaker 2: liked how it opened in the past, and it was
- 9:04Speaker 2: very much show us, not tell us. I loved that,
- 9:08Speaker 2: like we got a big chunk of storytelling in the past.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I thought it was great. And I just want to say,
- 9:17Speaker 2: Annie as like an eighteen year old when she gets married.
- 9:19Speaker 2: She's got the cutest little dress on.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah, real cute.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I was like, so cute, my seventeen year old would
- 9:24Speaker 2: wear it today. I liked all that stuff. I thought
- 9:28Speaker 2: Jill Wagner and Colin Egglesfield were both very good in this.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about Jill Moore and my wishes,
- 9:35Speaker 2: but I thought they were very good in this. And
- 9:37Speaker 2: what I really liked is that Jill's character. I liked
- 9:41Speaker 2: that they made her out of her environment, but they
- 9:43Speaker 2: didn't make her like a country Bumpkin. Yes she was smart, yes, capable, yeah,
- 9:51Speaker 2: but not out of sorts. But just in a new
- 9:55Speaker 2: there's so many people. I mean, yeah, but you know
- 9:59Speaker 2: they go to brook and she's.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Like, I love Brooklyn when she has that pizza.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I've been to New York a couple times and I
- 10:05Speaker 2: was like, don't you go to John's. Isn't like John's
- 10:08Speaker 2: like the pizza place in the West End that's in
- 10:12Speaker 2: London and the West Side. I don't remember where it's at.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I don't remember where.
- 10:18Speaker 1: As a pizza place that we don't do every time
- 10:19Speaker 1: we're in New York. I don't eat pizza New York's
- 10:22Speaker 1: would be very offended by the way I order pizza,
- 10:24Speaker 1: no cheese, peaseless. So I just don't even bother. Yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 1: so I don't know what the good pizza in New
- 10:31Speaker 1: York is.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I am a hold on a second. I'm so embarrassed
- 10:35Speaker 2: that I called it like the West End, where the
- 10:37Speaker 2: heck is John's. People are screaming at me right now,
- 10:41Speaker 2: Pizza New York, John's of Bleeker Street. Okay, that's where
- 10:46Speaker 2: it's at. Gotta try John's of Bleaker Street. It was delicious, delicious.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Send us your New York recommendations. I'm going next month.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I've been several times. I've been a lot of times.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But if you have some like.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Review, where are you staying?
- 11:01Speaker 1: We have We're are staying in midtown. We were going
- 11:04Speaker 1: to stay somewhere like fun and exciting, but.
- 11:08Speaker 2: We're not. Okay, We're staying in a Maria all right,
- 11:11Speaker 2: just to make life these well points baby points points.
- 11:15Speaker 2: That's right, one hundred percent booked on points. That's all
- 11:18Speaker 2: I have because we already talked about Matty Finocchio. Do
- 11:21Speaker 2: you have any other likes?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah? I like that we see some growth in the
- 11:24Speaker 1: character of Giovanna, at least growth in the way that
- 11:26Speaker 1: she's portrayed. We meet her as this like kind of
- 11:29Speaker 1: bride Zilla in the Home of Vader before we know
- 11:31Speaker 1: who she is, although I think we know who she
- 11:33Speaker 1: is and we know that she's not well matched to Ben,
- 11:37Speaker 1: but they also show her another side of her, which
- 11:40Speaker 1: is kind and warm, and I was a little bit
- 11:43Speaker 1: waiting for the other shoe to drop in that situation.
- 11:46Speaker 1: If you've seen My best Friend's Wedding, when you know
- 11:50Speaker 1: Cameron Diaz character brings Julia Roberts character like she makes
- 11:53Speaker 1: her a bridesmaid and she brings her in close and
- 11:56Speaker 1: she's like, you kept me close, and she's like, I
- 11:58Speaker 1: was right to do so, because you were trying to
- 11:59Speaker 1: steal my husband. I was waiting for that moment where
- 12:02Speaker 1: that's what she was trying to do. We never get that,
- 12:05Speaker 1: And I do wonder if you know, we don't really
- 12:07Speaker 1: get any closure in their relationship other than the newspaper article,
- 12:11Speaker 1: and so I don't know if there was a breakup
- 12:12Speaker 1: scene that was filmed and not used. But all we
- 12:16Speaker 1: know of her the way she treats Annie. She's actually
- 12:19Speaker 1: quite kind and lovely to Annie and invites her to
- 12:21Speaker 1: participate in the rehearsal and in the wedding, and she
- 12:23Speaker 1: takes her shopping and she helps her find a truly
- 12:27Speaker 1: lovely dress, and she doesn't set her up to be like,
- 12:30Speaker 1: oh no, that's great, right, fact, it's like a Glinda
- 12:33Speaker 1: the Goodwitch situation in Wicked. I love that scene actually
- 12:36Speaker 1: with the wedding dressing too. So I like that we
- 12:40Speaker 1: saw two sites of her. I think one of the
- 12:43Speaker 1: things I'll talk about in my wishes kind of helps
- 12:45Speaker 1: us to root for Giovanna a little bit. I think
- 12:49Speaker 1: Joe Wagner's just so good. Like you said, she and
- 12:53Speaker 1: Colin Egglesfield were well matched. It's hard for me that
- 12:57Speaker 1: Jill Wagner is such a good actress.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we've talked about that at length and when discussing
- 13:03Speaker 2: in his history one on one. So let's talk about
- 13:06Speaker 2: our wishes, Okay. I hated that Annie just went with
- 13:09Speaker 2: her dad and that Ben didn't fight for her. Nobody
- 13:12Speaker 2: fights they were adults. I mean, I wouldn't want my
- 13:17Speaker 2: eighteen year old daughter to run off in a secret
- 13:21Speaker 2: wedding situation either, but I wouldn't demand her to come home.
- 13:26Speaker 2: It was just weird. Ben was not a bad guy,
- 13:30Speaker 2: so I don't I couldn't really track why the dad
- 13:35Speaker 2: would be so upset other than their age.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I didn't love that either. They both just
- 13:41Speaker 1: kind of caved.
- 13:42Speaker 2: They're like, all right, grab my suitcase, going with my
- 13:45Speaker 2: dad to run away and to get married.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But not to fight for it.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah. I thought that was weird. I thought it was weird.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I have a feeling this is what you're going to
- 13:56Speaker 2: talk about. But I felt bad for both Joe and
- 13:58Speaker 2: Giovanna are both collateral damage here, yes, And I feel
- 14:04Speaker 2: like the writer tried to make them both unlikable so
- 14:07Speaker 2: the viewers didn't feel bad when they got cut loose.
- 14:11Speaker 1: That's an interesting thought, Well that was you know, I
- 14:13Speaker 1: thought that about Giavano when we first at first, Yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you know, they make her seem unlikable, and she even
- 14:21Speaker 1: Annie says like, oh, I feel bad for whoever her
- 14:23Speaker 1: fiance is, right, I was marrying her. But then we
- 14:27Speaker 1: see that she's not a bad person. It's just more
- 14:29Speaker 1: that she and Ben are poorly matched. She wants to
- 14:32Speaker 1: change his apartment and do all of these things, and
- 14:35Speaker 1: it's just that they're not a good match. They're not
- 14:37Speaker 1: meant for each other. And I think the same is
- 14:40Speaker 1: probably true of Joe.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Joe, I mean, the writing is on the wall when
- 14:47Speaker 2: he's like, let's set a date. We've been engaged for
- 14:49Speaker 2: two years, and she's like.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't really feel like they made Joe look
- 14:54Speaker 1: like a bad guy. I just feel like they made
- 14:56Speaker 1: it obvious from the beginning that Annie wasn't all in
- 14:59Speaker 1: on Joe. Yeah, I was so reluctant to set a
- 15:01Speaker 1: date and plan a wedding and do anything with moving
- 15:05Speaker 1: that relationship forward.
- 15:06Speaker 2: She was like this, what do you call hey, Joe,
- 15:08Speaker 2: how's it going?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Like?
- 15:10Speaker 2: It wasn't like how you would talk to like your
- 15:12Speaker 2: romantic partner at all. Hey Joe, what's up? No?
- 15:15Speaker 1: And so I feel like they try and get around
- 15:19Speaker 1: the fact that they broke up their relationships by making
- 15:22Speaker 1: them not break up for each other. And Ben shows
- 15:25Speaker 1: up and he's like, what do you mean she's not
- 15:27Speaker 1: engaged anymore? But they did behave inappropriately, They do kiss,
- 15:32Speaker 1: They are on basically dates. Yeah, out this movie, you know,
- 15:38Speaker 1: her going up to his apartment and all that time
- 15:41Speaker 1: they spend together, they were both cheating on their partner.
- 15:44Speaker 2: That's the stuff you hate.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Even though obviously Annie and Ben are supposed to be together.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Obviously they still have the same chemistry. Obviously they're in
- 15:53Speaker 1: relationships that are mismatched. I hate it when it comes
- 15:57Speaker 1: together like that.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Yeah. There was a scene where I think they were
- 16:00Speaker 2: in the limo and she like snuggled up on his
- 16:02Speaker 2: shoulder and I was like, no, girl, you're doing You're
- 16:06Speaker 2: sending some really mixed signals here, not even mixed signals,
- 16:10Speaker 2: like what are you doing right?
- 16:12Speaker 1: So there's a TikToker I follow, No, don't even follow
- 16:15Speaker 1: showed up on my for you page and she's like,
- 16:16Speaker 1: my husband left. I'm going through a divorce and like
- 16:19Speaker 1: I keep running into her stuff, right and she's like processing,
- 16:23Speaker 1: like her life through divorce. Well, then the other day
- 16:26Speaker 1: TikTok showed me another woman who's the other woman?
- 16:31Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And the comments this is the worst part, the comments
- 16:37Speaker 1: ranged shrump he left her for you, which I was like, yike,
- 16:42Speaker 1: let's not do that. Let's do that, little boy. Then
- 16:45Speaker 1: they were like a strong home is not built on
- 16:48Speaker 1: another woman's tears. And this woman her post was like
- 16:52Speaker 1: I know you all want to make me the villain
- 16:54Speaker 1: and go. And I was like, maybe TikTok's not the
- 16:56Speaker 1: police for you right now. Wow, Like so she was
- 16:59Speaker 1: the any in this situation. But it's it's complicated because
- 17:04Speaker 1: obviously Annie and Ben were a better match. But you're right,
- 17:07Speaker 1: there is collateral damage here. Yeah, and I think it
- 17:11Speaker 1: might be hard to live with that.
- 17:14Speaker 2: If you're Annie or Ben.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, especially she's gonna have to see Oh actually, I
- 17:20Speaker 2: take that back, because they were on the roof of
- 17:23Speaker 2: a New York penthouse or a building at the end. Yeah,
- 17:29Speaker 2: I was thinking like she would have to see Joe
- 17:31Speaker 2: all the time because he worked for the farm.
- 17:34Speaker 1: They're on a penthouse at the end.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't remember, like she's pregnant and they're like
- 17:38Speaker 2: in a field, but then it pulls back and it's
- 17:40Speaker 2: on top of like.
- 17:41Speaker 1: A New York City building. I literally have no member
- 17:46Speaker 1: of that scene. Yes, because here's what I didn't like.
- 17:49Speaker 1: They got engaged right away, uh huh. And my notes
- 17:53Speaker 1: they they should not have gotten engaged. They I don't
- 17:56Speaker 1: know anything about each other. Oh, I understand you had
- 17:58Speaker 1: this relationship years ago, but you need to date now.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 1: That's what really irritated me is they just jumped. I
- 18:04Speaker 1: was like, no, no, no, no, no no no. I don't
- 18:05Speaker 1: care that you're married already. You need to get engaged
- 18:10Speaker 1: and you need to date each other. You need to
- 18:12Speaker 1: meet each other. You spent three days together, right, So
- 18:15Speaker 1: that very bothered me. I think you turned it off
- 18:18Speaker 1: before you saw that end scened. Maybe I did. I
- 18:20Speaker 1: don't remember her being pregnant at all. Yeah, finally, this
- 18:23Speaker 1: is not a Fall movie other than one throw away
- 18:25Speaker 1: mention of the season. I love Fall.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I think that was it.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I think you're exactly right.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Here are my two final no I have three wishes.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I want to talk about Jill for a second. She
- 18:37Speaker 2: gives us strong Amy Winslow energy all the time. Now,
- 18:41Speaker 2: we have only seen her in Pearl and Paradise and
- 18:44Speaker 2: Mystery one on one, so I feel like she's always
- 18:51Speaker 2: Amy Winslow. Though, like in this movie, I was like,
- 18:54Speaker 2: she moves like Amy Winslow to me.
- 18:57Speaker 1: She's kind of like take charge.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we need to see a different note in her.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I like her as an actor, but it gave the
- 19:07Speaker 2: same sort of energy.
- 19:11Speaker 1: When she comes in on that tractor. I was a
- 19:14Speaker 1: little afraid that she was gonna lean real hard into
- 19:17Speaker 1: country bumpkin. Yeah, like she's got that, like she's almost
- 19:20Speaker 1: like it has an accent a little bit. She doesn't
- 19:22Speaker 1: do it. It's that only moment where I was like, Oh,
- 19:26Speaker 1: we're gonna get character joll Wagner. Yeah, but we didn't.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. The other thing we'll talk about Hector creep
- 19:34Speaker 2: me out. I know we it's on my notes here.
- 19:36Speaker 2: We talked about it. He's always like observing, always watching
- 19:39Speaker 2: in the riverview mirror. It fell creepy. It was like
- 19:42Speaker 2: a tight scene of h his eyes in the river mirror.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I was like, yuck, I hated all of that interesting.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I hated all I know exactly what you're talking when
- 19:51Speaker 1: he's kind of like smiling when he looks you see what.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Creeps? Okay, the full creeps. And last I talked about
- 20:03Speaker 2: it in a movie we just reviewed. There is a
- 20:06Speaker 2: problem with time in this movie. How much time is
- 20:09Speaker 2: in one week? She gets there? It is a work day, yeah,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and then on Saturday Ben is supposed to get married.
- 20:19Speaker 2: But they do all these things. They go to court,
- 20:21Speaker 2: they go shopping, they go sightseeing. Giovanna goes to Chicago
- 20:25Speaker 2: and comes back. They have a rehearsal dinner like, yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 2: or not dinner, but a rehearsal. I'm like, how many
- 20:32Speaker 2: days are in a week? Care?
- 20:33Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean that honestly is all my digitsy that too? Oh?
- 20:36Speaker 2: Really? Yeah?
- 20:38Speaker 1: Especially how does Anny make it home in time to
- 20:39Speaker 1: save the crops? The storm is actively happening.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I thought about that as well. I was like, if
- 20:44Speaker 2: a storm is active, is more of an issue getting
- 20:48Speaker 2: an airplane into des Moines or whatever, just like.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Walk to the airport and walk on an airplane like
- 20:52Speaker 1: you gotta like, you know, you gotta get to the airport,
- 20:55Speaker 1: find a flight, get home. This is hours later. It
- 20:57Speaker 1: kind of seems like she probably is not getting there,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but for the rain has actually started. We're already in
- 21:02Speaker 1: blustery windblowing.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Everything, and Annie is one person.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah, why couldn't you call it? You don't have some
- 21:07Speaker 1: extra farm help? You could have called into sandbag.
- 21:09Speaker 2: The crops, right, exactly?
- 21:12Speaker 1: That's my only digit.
- 21:13Speaker 2: See that now, you know, I have a question because
- 21:14Speaker 2: they're like, we made quota. What does that mean? Exactly?
- 21:17Speaker 2: Doesn't mean they grew enough.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Or harvested enough to be able to sell it and
- 21:22Speaker 1: make it make sense.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Okay, that makes sense. I mean not a farmer. I
- 21:25Speaker 2: have no idea me either. That's just what I'm assuming.
- 21:28Speaker 2: All right, let's talk. Did you see that? I know
- 21:31Speaker 2: you already mentioned yours. I have one, and it's just
- 21:34Speaker 2: the scene where Annie and Ben reunite as adults in
- 21:39Speaker 2: the office.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 2: She knocks on Tony's door and Ben makes some sort
- 21:44Speaker 2: of like comment or whatever, and he turned around and
- 21:46Speaker 2: Ben goes Annie, question mark, and Annie goes Ben question
- 21:52Speaker 2: of Mark. Like, that's not how you react to somebody.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You would be like, he would say, Annie, and she
- 21:58Speaker 2: would just say, oh my god, Yeah, it's not Wait
- 22:02Speaker 2: are you who I think you are.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Like, yeah, you're going to immediately realize you were and
- 22:07Speaker 1: get you were married?
- 22:08Speaker 2: You were married?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, excellent point. Uh huh. Do you ever envision
- 22:13Speaker 1: that moment, like running into someone from your past being like.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, yeah, I don't I don't like that,
- 22:19Speaker 2: oh from my past past. Oh no, I don't want
- 22:24Speaker 2: to do it.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't either.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I would pretend that I don't know you.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Oh. I have turned and walked the other way, and.
- 22:30Speaker 2: As have I. As have I. I was at a
- 22:34Speaker 2: concert like a long time ago with my current husband
- 22:37Speaker 2: and who was walking down the opposite of me is
- 22:40Speaker 2: somebody that I used to date, and I was like,
- 22:43Speaker 2: we're just going to continue walk by like I don't
- 22:45Speaker 2: know you. Yeah.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I've not had that in my adult years, but I've
- 22:51Speaker 1: definitely turned and walked away from people that did not
- 22:54Speaker 1: want to have a confrontation.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Hey what did you rate on? I gave it three
- 23:01Speaker 1: and a half stars. I gave it three point seven
- 23:03Speaker 1: to five stars. I like this movie.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I liked it.
