- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. The Department of Justice and New Mexico continue
- 0:09Speaker 1: to be deadlocked over Epstein files that have been requested
- 0:12Speaker 1: by the State of New Mexico. Now, the DOJ, they
- 0:16Speaker 1: have done their very best to keep these files out
- 0:19Speaker 1: of the hands of the State of New Mexico, and
- 0:24Speaker 1: the state Attorney General has set a July thirty first
- 0:26Speaker 1: deadline for those documents. And guess what. That deadline has passed,
- 0:31Speaker 1: And I think it really encapsulates the whole entire fiasco. Right.
- 0:35Speaker 1: It's not just that the Department of Justice is willing
- 0:38Speaker 1: to give the middle finger to the American people, because
- 0:41Speaker 1: we already know that, but now they're showing the whole game,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and they're approving that they're not even willing to work
- 0:50Speaker 1: with the State of New Mexico. And this is on
- 0:53Speaker 1: top of telling the courts to go get fucked too.
- 0:57Speaker 1: So if anybody thought that the Department of Justice was
- 1:00Speaker 1: interested in transparency when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, you
- 1:04Speaker 1: have another thing coming. So with that said, why don't
- 1:07Speaker 1: we jump into this article from The Guardian and see
- 1:09Speaker 1: what they have to say. Headline DOJ appears to ignore
- 1:14Speaker 1: New Mexico deadline for key Epstein ranch files. This article
- 1:19Speaker 1: was authored by Richard lost Comb. The US Department of
- 1:24Speaker 1: Justice appeared to ignore a Friday deadline set by Ronald Torres,
- 1:28Speaker 1: the Attorney General of New Mexico, to share information about
- 1:31Speaker 1: the abuse of girls at a remote ranch formerly owned
- 1:35Speaker 1: by the disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. And
- 1:40Speaker 1: in my opinion, there's not a legitimate reason as to
- 1:42Speaker 1: why the federal government wouldn't share this information, unless, of course,
- 1:47Speaker 1: they're trying to protect people, unless, of course, there's a
- 1:50Speaker 1: cover up they don't want exposed. Torres's office asks the
- 1:53Speaker 1: DOJ in February for unredacted files after it reopened the
- 1:57Speaker 1: dormant criminal investigation into activity adds or A ranch a
- 2:01Speaker 1: remote ten thousand acre property in desert scrub outside New Mexico.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It's in a place called Stanley, and it's about, oh,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I don't know, an hour or so from Santa Fe.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And it's in a pretty desolate location. Like where it's at,
- 2:17Speaker 1: there's no escaping from there. Like if you're somebody that's
- 2:21Speaker 1: at that ranch, right and you want to leave, you're
- 2:24Speaker 1: not walking off that ranch and getting anywhere. I mean,
- 2:28Speaker 1: it's pretty desolate. We're not talking about like a seven
- 2:31Speaker 1: to eleven down the block. And I think that was
- 2:34Speaker 1: all by design. It set a July thirty first deadline
- 2:40Speaker 1: for the Department to share relevant records. As it approached
- 2:44Speaker 1: on Friday, the Justice Department did not respond to a
- 2:46Speaker 1: request for comment. It's unbelievable what's happening. And the fact
- 2:52Speaker 1: that Todd Blanche is still up for confirmation is unbelievable.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And let's not make pretend that the issue has to
- 2:59Speaker 1: do with Epstein anyway. Remember, it has to do with
- 3:02Speaker 1: the IRS fund that Donald Trump and Blanche set up
- 3:07Speaker 1: in the wake of Donald Trump's lawsuit with the IRS.
- 3:10Speaker 1: This has nothing to do with the fact that Todd
- 3:13Speaker 1: Baby Billy Blanche is overseeing a cover up, As Cornyn
- 3:17Speaker 1: or Tillis said that, of course they haven't, and that's
- 3:21Speaker 1: because they don't care either. Okay, Like I've been telling you,
- 3:25Speaker 1: none of these people care, all these virtue signaling people,
- 3:28Speaker 1: all these politicians that act like they give a shit,
- 3:31Speaker 1: they don't. If they cared, they would have been on
- 3:34Speaker 1: the front line years ago. The Guardian reported in February
- 3:40Speaker 1: that recent releases of the so called Epstein files included
- 3:43Speaker 1: thousands of mentions of the ranch and numerous photographs of
- 3:47Speaker 1: men and young girls there. A succession of survivors had
- 3:51Speaker 1: previously given testimony about abuse that they were subjected to. However,
- 3:56Speaker 1: unlike other properties prominent and Epstein sex trafficking conspiracy in
- 4:00Speaker 1: Palm Beach, New York and his private Caribbean island, no
- 4:04Speaker 1: federal search of the ranch was ever confirmed to have
- 4:06Speaker 1: taken place because it never happened. What do you mean confirmed?
- 4:11Speaker 1: What they did? It on the low and nobody ever
- 4:13Speaker 1: found out, Like what does that even mean? There was
- 4:18Speaker 1: no rate of that ranch ever. And if you compare
- 4:23Speaker 1: it to what happened with Diddy, look at the difference.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Look at how quickly all of Diddy's properties were hit
- 4:30Speaker 1: at the same time. But when you got Jeffrey Epstein,
- 4:33Speaker 1: this dude gets off his plane, no fanfare, no cameras, nothing,
- 4:37Speaker 1: Let's arrest them, take them to the station, and you know,
- 4:40Speaker 1: we'll try and massage this. And for people out there
- 4:44Speaker 1: that want to call everything a cover up, here's a
- 4:46Speaker 1: little basic rule of a cover up. Okay, the patsy
- 4:49Speaker 1: who's part of the cover up. They can't remain alive.
- 4:52Speaker 1: The whole entire point of killing the cover up and
- 4:55Speaker 1: getting rid of the evidence is burning the asset. If
- 4:59Speaker 1: an entity is power powerful enough to engage in a
- 5:02Speaker 1: cover up, you better believe they're powerful enough to erase
- 5:05Speaker 1: the asset. Torres said, a deadline of Friday for federal
- 5:11Speaker 1: prosecutors from the Justice Department and the US Attorney's Office
- 5:15Speaker 1: for the Southern District of New York, which led the
- 5:17Speaker 1: original Epstein investigation, to allow access to whatever documents they had.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Despite promises of cooperation from Todd Blanche, the acting Attorney General,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and Jay Clayton, former US Attorney for the SDNY now
- 5:32Speaker 1: Director Designate of National Intelligence. Torres said, only thirty one
- 5:37Speaker 1: pages wherever handed over. And let's not forget who Jay
- 5:40Speaker 1: Clayton is. Remember he was working for Apollo Global, Leon
- 5:44Speaker 1: Black's company. Oh yeah, you know Ben Black, leon Black's son,
- 5:48Speaker 1: who works for the administration. I guess we shouldn't talk
- 5:51Speaker 1: about that though, right, No big deal. There were mostly
- 5:57Speaker 1: old news clippings and heavily redacted pages of little use
- 6:00Speaker 1: to state investigators, he said. Torres said in a July
- 6:04Speaker 1: fourteenth letter to Blanche he would pursue all available legal
- 6:08Speaker 1: remedies without further notice if the July thirty first deadline passed,
- 6:13Speaker 1: having made repeated, documented good faith efforts to obtain the
- 6:17Speaker 1: unredacted investigative records in the Usdoj's custody and look, if
- 6:22Speaker 1: they're not going to play ball, you have to step
- 6:25Speaker 1: it up. Oh, that water's not boiling, turn the heat up.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And that's what mister Torres needs to do. Will he
- 6:31Speaker 1: do it? We'll have to wait and see. The same week,
- 6:34Speaker 1: an interview with Albuquerque ABC News affiliate Koat, Torres said,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm not taking anything off the table. I'm not ruling
- 6:41Speaker 1: out a lawsuit. Well, I hope he doesn't rule out anything.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Epstein died in jail in New York in August of
- 6:49Speaker 1: twenty nineteen while awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges.
- 6:53Speaker 1: The fight for documents relating to his activities at Zoro Ranch,
- 6:57Speaker 1: which he bought in nineteen ninety three, from the est
- 7:00Speaker 1: date of the Democratic former New Mexico Governor Bruce King,
- 7:03Speaker 1: became something of a cat and mouse affair after Torres
- 7:07Speaker 1: reopened of an inquiry first launch by his predecessor, Hector
- 7:11Speaker 1: Baldez in February of twenty nineteen. According to the Attorney General,
- 7:16Speaker 1: the Southern District of New York called him in July
- 7:18Speaker 1: to announce that it would not cooperate. Imagine that shit. Now,
- 7:22Speaker 1: we're not going to cooperate with you. Sorry, we got
- 7:24Speaker 1: our own investigation. Fuck off. We have to make sure
- 7:27Speaker 1: we control the blast radius. That's what they were doing.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That's always been the goal. And I've been telling you
- 7:33Speaker 1: that time and time again. And listen, that's not me
- 7:36Speaker 1: pulling it out of thin air. It's right here for
- 7:38Speaker 1: you to see. But Clayton, in his confirmation hearing in
- 7:46Speaker 1: the US Senate last month, told Martin Heinrich, Democratic Senator
- 7:49Speaker 1: for New Mexico, My folks, I think we speak are
- 7:52Speaker 1: seeking dialogue with the Attorney General to see if we
- 7:56Speaker 1: can reach an accommodation. What kind of accommodation? Give them
- 7:59Speaker 1: all the documents? What are you hiding and why? Clayton
- 8:06Speaker 1: noted that the documents were subject to certain protective orders,
- 8:09Speaker 1: namely redactions to hide the identities of victims. I thought
- 8:13Speaker 1: we already did that. I thought that was already done.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Or is it that we relied to again? I know,
- 8:20Speaker 1: God forbid, there's no way that we were relied to
- 8:22Speaker 1: by the DOJ and the fantastic administration that's at the helm. Blanche,
- 8:28Speaker 1: accused in February by Democrats of a full blown cover
- 8:31Speaker 1: up of the Epstein files, told his own confirmation hearing
- 8:34Speaker 1: last month that he was continuing work with the New
- 8:37Speaker 1: Mexico Department of Justice. But Torres said he had heard
- 8:41Speaker 1: nothing further either from Blanche or the SDNY. That's totally
- 8:46Speaker 1: on brand. Look at how dismissive he's been of the survivors.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So what you think he's not going to be dismissive
- 8:53Speaker 1: of the whole entire story. Meanwhile, the US Attorney's Office
- 8:58Speaker 1: for the District of New Mexico and into the Guardian,
- 9:01Speaker 1: said it had substantively responded to Torre's request on June
- 9:04Speaker 1: thirtieth by emailing the thirty one documents. A whole thirty
- 9:08Speaker 1: one documents. Huh, that's all you have. That's all we
- 9:11Speaker 1: can expect for an Epstein investigation. Okay, I guess some,
- 9:19Speaker 1: a spokesperson said were communications directing Torres to SDNY. The
- 9:23Speaker 1: New Mexico US Attorney's Office did not lead or handle
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Zoro Ranch investigation, and therefore neither collected nor retained
- 9:31Speaker 1: any investigative material. The statement said, Now, why wouldn't the
- 9:34Speaker 1: local office be involved unless, of course, there's a cover up.
- 9:38Speaker 1: And for all these jokers out here that think Candice
- 9:41Speaker 1: Owens knows what he's talking about when it comes to
- 9:43Speaker 1: a cover up, God, you guys have been misled, completely
- 9:47Speaker 1: and utterly misled. You want to know what a cover
- 9:51Speaker 1: up looks like. You want to see the bones of it,
- 9:53Speaker 1: you want to see how it functions. It's right here.
- 9:56Speaker 1: What are you running from? Why are you chasing ghosts
- 9:59Speaker 1: when the real cover is right here? Could it be
- 10:03Speaker 1: that she's part of some disinformation or demoralization campaign put
- 10:08Speaker 1: into place by insert handler here. Probably, But if you're
- 10:12Speaker 1: looking for a real cover up and you want one
- 10:15Speaker 1: with actual teeth and documents, you can look at it's
- 10:18Speaker 1: right here. And it's not based on a bunch of
- 10:20Speaker 1: trust me bro, It's based on years and years of
- 10:23Speaker 1: documentation that's backed up by tons of testimony. Torres did
- 10:31Speaker 1: not respond to a request for comment from the Guardian
- 10:34Speaker 1: on Friday. He told MS now is the Briefing with
- 10:37Speaker 1: Jensaki on July twenty third that he was annoyed by
- 10:40Speaker 1: months of stonewalling from Blanche Donald Trump's pick for Attorney General,
- 10:44Speaker 1: whose confirmation is in peril, but not because of Epstein.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Keep that in mind, Keep that in mind. It should
- 10:50Speaker 1: be in peril because of Epstein, but it's not. It
- 10:55Speaker 1: appears that the administration has been really focused on the
- 10:58Speaker 1: management of communication around the Epstein case rather than acting
- 11:02Speaker 1: in a way that demonstrates a commitment to getting to
- 11:04Speaker 1: the truth and getting too accountability, said Torres. Especially frustrating,
- 11:09Speaker 1: he told MS NOW, was the conduct of the SDNY
- 11:13Speaker 1: after the first Balderaz ordered investigation was shelved. Torres said,
- 11:18Speaker 1: we stood down that investigation at the explicit request of
- 11:22Speaker 1: the Southern District of New York, and so to have
- 11:24Speaker 1: them fail to honor their agreement and then not give
- 11:27Speaker 1: us access to this file is extremely unusual, and it's
- 11:31Speaker 1: complicating our ability to advance this criminal investigation. And that's
- 11:36Speaker 1: all the fact. But unfortunately, hate to repeat myself again,
- 11:40Speaker 1: that's the goal. Blanche has the authority right now, with
- 11:45Speaker 1: the stroke of the pen to grant us as access
- 11:47Speaker 1: to let us our investigators and prosecutors come and take
- 11:51Speaker 1: a look at the files, identify co conspirators, witnesses, corroborating evidence,
- 11:56Speaker 1: identify new potential leads. Torres added, every day that goes
- 11:59Speaker 1: back that that doesn't happen is another day that we've
- 12:02Speaker 1: delayed delivering justice for the survivors, and I agree with
- 12:07Speaker 1: that as well. However, I'm not too sure I trust
- 12:10Speaker 1: Balderas right. Let's see it. You got to put some
- 12:14Speaker 1: action behind your words, and you have to force the issue,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and you have to get creative. There are many remedies
- 12:20Speaker 1: that are at the disposal of the state, and I
- 12:24Speaker 1: want to see Balderas dig deep into the toolbox. Will
- 12:26Speaker 1: he do it? I don't know, but like usual, you
- 12:29Speaker 1: better believe we'll be following along and when I have
- 12:32Speaker 1: some more information one way or the other, we'll get
- 12:35Speaker 1: that added to the catalog as well. All the information
- 12:38Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
- 12:41Speaker 1: description box.
