Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Alright alright yo, yeah from Philly. It's the number one
- 0:09Speaker 1: rated Polly and Tony Foolsco Show. Yo, yea Polly Foolsco
- 0:15Speaker 1: Here with Tony Folsco and Dony you show today and
- 0:19Speaker 1: last week we made Knows as usual what we proved
- 0:25Speaker 1: that Patrick Mahomes is basically Kenny Pickett. We showed the
- 0:28Speaker 1: stats and you know, I take just blew up the
- 0:31Speaker 1: internet set TikTok download records and uh, you know that
- 0:35Speaker 1: was all no thanks to our terrible guest, Nick Wright.
- 0:38Speaker 1: He was a disaster. Yeah, we'll get the speaking of disasters, Tony,
- 0:42Speaker 1: our guest today. You know, we gave our book at
- 0:45Speaker 1: Fox Sports Radio one simple ask, you know, we said,
- 0:49Speaker 1: book someone who actually knows sports, and he couldn't even
- 0:53Speaker 1: get that right. He goes ahead and books Jason Whitlock.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And well, Tony, I was under the impression, like my people,
- 1:00Speaker 1: that Jason Whitlock no longer works in sports. Yeah, now
- 1:04Speaker 1: he's like some political MSCNN person or something. Well, you know,
- 1:08Speaker 1: we have standards on this show we have to maintain
- 1:11Speaker 1: and I don't even think, you know, we should let
- 1:12Speaker 1: him on. You know, I'll say this, Tony, if he
- 1:15Speaker 1: even says one thing that comes close to being remotely political,
- 1:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna kick his you know, MSc NBCs off the show. Yeah, well,
- 1:26Speaker 1: we'll deal with that in a few minutes. But first,
- 1:28Speaker 1: on the subject of people who actually know sports us,
- 1:32Speaker 1: we're gonna tell you why Baker Mayfield just made a
- 1:35Speaker 1: terrible decision going to the Rams, just awful, and how
- 1:39Speaker 1: ESPN totally just blew it with the stat they put
- 1:42Speaker 1: up the other day about the Eagles and Cowboys that
- 1:45Speaker 1: you need to see to believe and then immediately not believe.
- 1:50Speaker 1: But first, you know, we always have business on this
- 1:53Speaker 1: show to take care of. So our word from our
- 1:55Speaker 1: sponsor are good friends at gold Bond Medicated Powder. Are
- 2:01Speaker 1: you old? Then you should probably be using gold Bond
- 2:04Speaker 1: Medicated Powder. Yeah. I don't know what it does, but
- 2:08Speaker 1: they paid us to mention their product, so go use it,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Gold Bond Medicated Powder. It will make your body slowly
- 2:14Speaker 1: rotting away a less so horrible and depressing experience for you,
- 2:18Speaker 1: Gold Bond. Okay, now that we got that ad read down,
- 2:23Speaker 1: we got a lot to get to, Tony, so let's
- 2:25Speaker 1: not waste any time and get right into our top
- 2:27Speaker 1: story story. Alright, First, out the gate. The most embarrassing
- 2:33Speaker 1: thing to come out of ESPN in well days. Uh,
- 2:36Speaker 1: they came out with the so called mathematical modeling quotes
- 2:40Speaker 1: that predicts which NFC team has the best chance of
- 2:43Speaker 1: making the Super Bowl. Now, according to this statistical model,
- 2:47Speaker 1: which makes sense only if you're an idiot, ESPN says
- 2:50Speaker 1: that Dallas Cowboys, who have a record of nine and three,
- 2:55Speaker 1: have a fifty percent chance of making the Super Bowl. Meanwhile,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the Eagles, who have a record of eleven and one,
- 3:03Speaker 1: have only a thirty percent chance. Now, on what planet
- 3:07Speaker 1: would a three lost team have a better shot than
- 3:10Speaker 1: a one lost team, because it certainly isn't Earth, is it, Tony.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm not just embarrassed for ESPN. I'm embarrassed for our country.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You know, we talk about failing academic standards. What are
- 3:22Speaker 1: the people at ESPN teaching our kids these days? You
- 3:25Speaker 1: wonder why we're getting lapped by the rest of the
- 3:27Speaker 1: world in test scores? Well, I blame SportsCenter. I mean
- 3:32Speaker 1: the Eagles. Yeah, the Eagles are eleven and one. They've
- 3:36Speaker 1: won basically of their games. What were they supposed to
- 3:40Speaker 1: be after twelve games? Thirteen and one? Terrific points? All around, Tony.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And you know what sickens me here, ESPN is basically
- 3:49Speaker 1: telling everybody that wins and losses don't matter anymore. I mean,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and that's just so insulting on so many levels for
- 3:55Speaker 1: so many people. They're basically saying winning doesn't matter anymore,
- 3:59Speaker 1: aren't they. Yeah, and that's not only insulting to football players,
- 4:03Speaker 1: it's an insult to our military who fought to win
- 4:06Speaker 1: wars Unlike ESPN. I'm proud that the United States is
- 4:11Speaker 1: a perfect fifty seven and oh in wars World War one,
- 4:16Speaker 1: World War two, Gulf War. But you know, most other
- 4:20Speaker 1: countries there below five hundred in wars. Would you bet
- 4:24Speaker 1: on a below five hundred country like Sweden to win
- 4:27Speaker 1: its next war? Maybe ESPN would not me so well,
- 4:32Speaker 1: said Tony. And you know, just further proof here that
- 4:35Speaker 1: ESPN is totally anti American. And you know they're just
- 4:39Speaker 1: full of confusing decisions over there. I mean, you know,
- 4:42Speaker 1: it takes me back to another one. Remember when they
- 4:45Speaker 1: that show Get Up. It had an exclamation point after
- 4:48Speaker 1: its title, and then one morning we woke up and
- 4:50Speaker 1: suddenly no exclamation point made no sense. Yeah, I was confused.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I didn't even know if it was the same show
- 4:58Speaker 1: anymore made to Tony. Well, that leads us to another
- 5:02Speaker 1: baffling decision, this one by Baker Mayfield, who was released
- 5:06Speaker 1: by the Panthers and then claimed off of waivers by
- 5:09Speaker 1: the l A Rams, who are right now making crypto
- 5:12Speaker 1: stock looks stable. Anyway, I gotta say, Tony, this was
- 5:15Speaker 1: yet another terrible career decision by Baker Mayfield. You know, Baker,
- 5:20Speaker 1: when you look at it, he had the right idea
- 5:21Speaker 1: to go to l A. But he picked the wrong
- 5:24Speaker 1: football team. Isn't that right? Don'ty? Unfortunately he did. You know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: when most people hit a dead end in their Korea,
- 5:31Speaker 1: they go back to college and work on their skills. Well,
- 5:35Speaker 1: why don't quarterbacks do that? You know? Boy, Baker's old coach,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Lincoln Riley's at USC Their quarterback Caleb Williams is her
- 5:44Speaker 1: Baker should go there and brush up on his skills
- 5:47Speaker 1: and ask Caleb Williams to teach him how to throw
- 5:49Speaker 1: a football properly. Sage advice, Tony, And well, now I
- 5:54Speaker 1: guess we have to done our attention to the world
- 5:56Speaker 1: of soccer, where the United States men's team lost to
- 6:00Speaker 1: the Netherlands in the Soccer World Cup. There, Tony, you
- 6:04Speaker 1: watch no you no, Well, let's just move on there,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you know, let's move to a story out of college football.
- 6:13Speaker 1: You know, people are up in arms about this video
- 6:16Speaker 1: that was circulating this week. It was of Dion Sanders,
- 6:20Speaker 1: who is the new head coach over at the University
- 6:23Speaker 1: of Colorado. He came in for his first meeting with
- 6:26Speaker 1: the Colorado players, who you know are all terrible and uh,
- 6:30Speaker 1: he started giving this speech that was just terrific. Now
- 6:33Speaker 1: people are saying he made it all about himself, specifically
- 6:36Speaker 1: because he said the phrase I'm coming about thirty seven
- 6:40Speaker 1: times during the speech. Just just play a quick clip
- 6:42Speaker 1: of that. Okay, you don't even okay and usually not
- 6:49Speaker 1: said he too a place, he said too a place
- 6:51Speaker 1: to be the can't do it chaps. Okay you So
- 7:03Speaker 1: they asked you what he said to me? What was that?
- 7:07Speaker 1: I want you to say the two words that wow.
- 7:13Speaker 1: What just a terrific speech. And you know that was
- 7:16Speaker 1: just a snippet of just seven minutes of your greatness. Now,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know, people are saying that was a bad speech, terrible, Tony.
- 7:23Speaker 1: He did a perfect job clearly delivering his message, didn't
- 7:27Speaker 1: they what a coach is supposed to do. Absolutely his
- 7:31Speaker 1: message was clear and easy to understand. And that's what's important.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You know, when you look at all the people on
- 7:37Speaker 1: the earth, by far, the dumbest ones are college kids.
- 7:41Speaker 1: That's why they were in college. They're dumb and they
- 7:45Speaker 1: need someone to explain things in terms that they can understand.
- 7:48Speaker 1: They were all probably sitting there thinking, who is this guy,
- 7:51Speaker 1: where did he come from? What happened to the other coach?
- 7:55Speaker 1: If Dion didn't say I'm coming thirty seven times, they
- 7:59Speaker 1: would have probably been left very confused as to what
- 8:02Speaker 1: was going on that day. Absolutely terrific point, that don'ty
- 8:07Speaker 1: and just also a very natural segue because on the
- 8:11Speaker 1: subject of being confused as to what's going on, I
- 8:14Speaker 1: see I guess coming on the line. So here we go.
- 8:18Speaker 1: All right, let's just bring him on the FUSCO Satellite network. Alright,
- 8:25Speaker 1: this guy, award winning journalist, longtime sports columnist, form of
- 8:31Speaker 1: personality there on FS one, ESPN, YadA, YadA, YadA, doesn't
- 8:34Speaker 1: matter anymore because now he's doing some political show somewhere,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you know, not even sure what he's doing on this
- 8:40Speaker 1: show right now, you know, Jason Frankly you know before
- 8:43Speaker 1: we can begin this segment. Look, this is a sports show,
- 8:46Speaker 1: as you're well aware, and you know, we can't just
- 8:48Speaker 1: be bringing you on if you don't know anything about sports,
- 8:50Speaker 1: like so that's my first question to you. Do you
- 8:53Speaker 1: know anything about what's going on right now? Do you
- 8:55Speaker 1: forget everything? I know a lot of things about sports.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I still follows sports for I thought I would catch
- 9:01Speaker 1: you guys in a great move. The Eagles are eleven
- 9:06Speaker 1: and one and you get one eleven and one whatever
- 9:09Speaker 1: they are. He didn't even know the you know, like
- 9:12Speaker 1: all time. How do we know you didn't just look
- 9:13Speaker 1: that up on your example before you got on here.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You're trying to trick us. You know, we're not buying that.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You know you can't get the Titans that you can
- 9:23Speaker 1: read in the NFL scheduled, Tony, Tony, I think I'm
- 9:29Speaker 1: not convinced that that shows maybe you don't know what's
- 9:32Speaker 1: going on. Maybe let's just take a moment here before
- 9:34Speaker 1: we get any further, Jason, just just to maintain the
- 9:37Speaker 1: integrity of the show here, we need to test your
- 9:39Speaker 1: knowledge of sports, just to make sure you know what's
- 9:41Speaker 1: going on. Tony is just gonna give you a series
- 9:44Speaker 1: of questions that please try to answer them if you
- 9:46Speaker 1: actually know the answer. Tony first one, Okay, here you go, Jason,
- 9:52Speaker 1: who is the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. Now,
- 9:57Speaker 1: if this is hard for you, I'll give you a hint.
- 10:00Speaker 1: His initials p M. Payton Manny, I think he's trying
- 10:07Speaker 1: to be a comedian. Not right, you know what? All right? Right?
- 10:13Speaker 1: He looked up. All right, let's get into the top story.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He uh with lock. All right, look, all right, you
- 10:20Speaker 1: proved yourself a little. Look. Dion Sanders, new head coach
- 10:24Speaker 1: at Colorado, right, goes in and gives one of the
- 10:27Speaker 1: most legendary speeches of all time. Just terrific in every way. Now,
- 10:32Speaker 1: people out there, they're saying he was egotistical, narcissistic. Don't
- 10:36Speaker 1: you disagree with that? Wasn't this an all time legendary speech? Uh?
- 10:41Speaker 1: If he were at home in bed with his wife,
- 10:46Speaker 1: it's a legendary speech. Uh. If talking to a bunch
- 10:49Speaker 1: of kids, he kept screaming I'm coming, I'm coming, screaming
- 10:54Speaker 1: that to a bunch of kids. The show is about
- 10:56Speaker 1: to get canceled. You're gonna get another show canceled. Block
- 11:00Speaker 1: I think you've already had eight in your career. Here
- 11:02Speaker 1: comes number nine. Yeah, and so I'm no. It wasn't
- 11:08Speaker 1: a legendary speech. It was a bad message. He told
- 11:10Speaker 1: those kids to hit the transfer portal. Jesus is coming
- 11:14Speaker 1: to save him, and it's Dian Sanders. It was the
- 11:16Speaker 1: most arrogant and narcissistic speech I've ever heard from a
- 11:20Speaker 1: head coach. Well, yeah, you are the world's leading expert
- 11:23Speaker 1: in arrogance, and nazis to take your opinion there. But
- 11:26Speaker 1: don't you know he's the head coach of a football team.
- 11:29Speaker 1: He's coming to tell the kids what's up, what's going on?
- 11:32Speaker 1: This is the Colorado team that went one in eleven
- 11:35Speaker 1: last year. What should he have Singers? Should have said, oh,
- 11:37Speaker 1: thank you so much, I'm so glad that you guys
- 11:40Speaker 1: are great, You're terrific. Completion percentage back whose name I
- 11:45Speaker 1: don't know. No, he should have came in and said, look,
- 11:49Speaker 1: those of you that want to get go to the
- 11:51Speaker 1: next level, I know how to get there, do you,
- 11:55Speaker 1: because we're gonna find out if you don't know how
- 11:57Speaker 1: to get there, this isn't the right place for you.
- 12:01Speaker 1: If you do, if you're willing to accept the challenge
- 12:03Speaker 1: if you're willing to go to a level that I know.
- 12:06Speaker 1: This is what he said. He said all this, except
- 12:09Speaker 1: he did it much better and much more entertaining than
- 12:11Speaker 1: you know, you sound like he had. How do you
- 12:17Speaker 1: know how he speaking because he was reading a note card.
- 12:21Speaker 1: He was reading Those coaches don't speak from note cars,
- 12:24Speaker 1: They speak from the heart. Are you kidding me? But Whitlock,
- 12:28Speaker 1: So you're saying, when you're standing at your camera at
- 12:30Speaker 1: your political show that that's just all off the top
- 12:32Speaker 1: of your head, pretty much got it, pretty much exactly.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I'm wondering if there's a teleprompter in front of you
- 12:43Speaker 1: right now, you know, actually there is. Yeah, this guy
- 12:47Speaker 1: hasn't had a thought yet. You know. Let'st that segway here,
- 12:50Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, we did a take last week, Tony,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and it took just took off, right. We said to
- 12:55Speaker 1: the paper, we said, Aaron Rodgers is a model for
- 12:58Speaker 1: all quarterbacks, and that's because he's a conspiracy theorist. Every
- 13:03Speaker 1: quarterback should be a conspiracy theorist because basically, you've got
- 13:06Speaker 1: your other team that conspiring to get your right trying
- 13:10Speaker 1: to kill you. You want someone who see, you know, lying,
- 13:14Speaker 1: to you, you're a bit of what they call it
- 13:15Speaker 1: tinfoil hat. Guy. Don't you think every quarterback should be
- 13:19Speaker 1: a conspiracy theorist. Uh. Just because they say they're not
- 13:25Speaker 1: out to get you doesn't mean they're not out to
- 13:28Speaker 1: get you. And as a quarterback, you know what a
- 13:30Speaker 1: bit of paranoia does serve you? Well, look, they're out
- 13:35Speaker 1: to get Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers, the opposition.
- 13:38Speaker 1: The Packers drafted the quarterback to replacing people drafted a
- 13:42Speaker 1: quarterback two years out to get him by paying him
- 13:45Speaker 1: fifty million dollars. Yeah, good point. The sports the other
- 13:50Speaker 1: teams have to get and so are the Packers. And
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know they love or somebody else besides Aaron Rodgers.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I like Aaron Rodgers. He didn't he was sirac conspiracy person,
- 14:02Speaker 1: and he was right about the vaccine. I'm glad he
- 14:05Speaker 1: didn't take it. Excuse me, did you just give a
- 14:09Speaker 1: political opinion? How is no? I gave me an opinion
- 14:13Speaker 1: about Aaron Rodgers not taking the vaccine. That's a sports opinion. No, No,
- 14:19Speaker 1: that was a vaccine opinion. This is a sports show.
- 14:22Speaker 1: What network do you think you're on? Here? MSCN? We
- 14:25Speaker 1: don't do this. You're trying to get our show canceled,
- 14:27Speaker 1: aren't you, because that's what you do. It sounds like
- 14:29Speaker 1: somebody's jealous. You're off the shop show. You're getting canceled
- 14:35Speaker 1: from this show? Exactly, Yes, and get out of here.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I know this was a mistake. What we need to
- 14:42Speaker 1: be vaccinated from your mun I knew I should have
- 14:48Speaker 1: done this show. You hung off the phone, jacket the phone.
- 14:52Speaker 1: He's off the show? Is he off the line already? Jay,
- 14:57Speaker 1: hang up the phone. We need to apologize to of
- 15:00Speaker 1: viewers and listeners out there for that horrible segment there.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Strike that from your memory. And also it doesn't reflect
- 15:07Speaker 1: the opinions about terrific sponsor Gold Bond medicash no ocs.
- 15:14Speaker 1: If it's someone who doesn't reflect anybody that produce a
- 15:17Speaker 1: j Number one, you said the Eagles have won pent
- 15:23Speaker 1: of their games. Yeah around there? Sure, Yeah, no, not
- 15:28Speaker 1: around there. They're eleven and one, which means they've won
- 15:33Speaker 1: two of their games. There's a difference. Yeah, there's a
- 15:37Speaker 1: difference between when you're talking and when you're shutting the cup. Yeah.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I have a chance of beating the shatter you after
- 15:46Speaker 1: the show. Good two, you said Baker Mayfield should go
- 15:52Speaker 1: back to college to sharpen his QB skills. Yeah, that
- 15:56Speaker 1: would be smart for him. Yeah yeah, it would be
- 15:59Speaker 1: im possible for him. You do realize the n C
- 16:03Speaker 1: double A forbids players from going pro and then coming
- 16:07Speaker 1: back to play the same sport. Oh yeah, well you
- 16:12Speaker 1: should be forbidden from breathing. Yeah, you are an n
- 16:17Speaker 1: C double a whole. Great, Yeah, got him. That's it.
- 16:22Speaker 1: We're done done with you. What what you said Golf War? Yeah, no,
- 16:30Speaker 1: it wasn't the Golf War, it was the Gulf War.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Well you're not a producer, you're a produce bag. Yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna wait for you in the parking lot after
- 16:45Speaker 1: this show. Great king, he's so the only thing you
- 16:52Speaker 1: could produces tears, Yeah, a sad face. Anyway, We're not
- 16:55Speaker 1: gonna go out on a down note, don because Big
- 16:58Speaker 1: Nose just looked for next week super Bowl hero and
- 17:02Speaker 1: Eagles legend Nick Foles coming on the show. By the way,
- 17:06Speaker 1: you know we mentioned it up top. Our platforms are
- 17:10Speaker 1: just blowing up, so make sure you know, watch us
- 17:13Speaker 1: on your dove, then watch us again on TikTok and
- 17:15Speaker 1: you get those views up. More money for us. In
- 17:18Speaker 1: the meantime, great job as always, Dony, saying to you poorly,
- 17:24Speaker 1: another floorless show. There you go, we'll see if people
- 17:27Speaker 1: next week. See you
