Transcript
- 0:00Maybe though, Chaz, it's a little bit like when City get
- 0:02all in charge, when we get some other trophies, are we going to
- 0:05a party? As the Arsenal fans keep telling
- 0:07us in the comments, we're a couple of old men and to be
- 0:10fair, I'm proving it because played Paddle the other day and
- 0:12my backs gone and it's it's a nightmare.
- 0:17How are we fellow Reds? And welcome to this latest match
- 0:20preview of our upcoming match against Bournemouth on Friday
- 0:24with me, Span and Chaz. Before we get into it, thank you
- 0:28to our subscribers and followers.
- 0:29We really, really appreciate it. If you're not a fellow Red yet,
- 0:32please subscribe or follow. We're on YouTube, Spotify, Apple
- 0:36Podcasts, we're all over the socials as well so that you
- 0:39don't miss a thing. But we're back, we've got a game
- 0:43coming up, Jazz, and then we've got a bit of a break.
- 0:46So excited about this. Break.
- 0:48A big old, big old break. But before we actually get into
- 0:53the preview, let's have a look at since we last met.
- 0:56Because we've we've been having some fun with a few Arsenal fans
- 0:58on socials, aren't we? Yeah, we've had our first
- 1:02trolls, which is very enjoyable. Yeah.
- 1:05Like I don't know if they have hearing difficulties, but at no
- 1:09point did we criticize Max Diamond.
- 1:11We said he's a very good player, he'll be class.
- 1:13Just said he's not. The second coming of Lionel
- 1:16Messi is basically what we what we were getting at.
- 1:18So just typical Arsenal fans basically getting getting in
- 1:22their heads. Very enjoyable.
- 1:24Morning for me replying to to all of them.
- 1:26So yeah, yeah, enjoyed it. Keep them going, guys.
- 1:30They do not disappoint. Do they just put the rods out
- 1:33and then Arsenal fans jumping away jump in about?
- 1:3910 whoppers this morning, basically, yeah, a couple of
- 1:41blue whales in there, yeah, so. Some big old floppers.
- 1:46In it because. There should be in a position of
- 1:49strength, obviously, you know, looking down on us all at the
- 1:52top of the table. But yeah, they were so nervous
- 1:55and just so Arsenal, yeah, it's just beautiful in it.
- 1:59This is all after they're basically won the league this
- 2:02weekend and they just got through the Champions League
- 2:04last night and they still, Robin Wobble was about someone saying
- 2:11their player is not going to be in the next Messi.
- 2:13So yeah, yeah. And they were, oh, who's saying
- 2:15that? Who's saying that?
- 2:16I'm like, you're saying that? I've got screenshots.
- 2:18So yeah, happy to share that. Happy to share it, guys.
- 2:22Yeah. Love it.
- 2:23You're fun based, but yeah, it's nice to have a little bit of fun
- 2:26and one may continue and then talking about them and getting
- 2:30into the Champions League. They obviously beat Leverkusen
- 2:33last night to go through kind of expected.
- 2:36But then yeah, the other results city out five one and I greatly
- 2:40would have thought that. Yeah, like I wonder what that
- 2:43game would have been like if they obviously didn't get the
- 2:46red card and the setting off, because after that it was
- 2:50basically a done deal. Not that I thought.
- 2:53I obviously City could see that. The second one later on.
- 2:57So I didn't know how how that game would have panned out.
- 2:59But yeah, it was a foregone conclusion once that that
- 3:02penalty was scoring that red card.
- 3:05It was a red card. To be fair, They basically say
- 3:08that the Knicks with the Towners, Yeah.
- 3:11I'm not going to lie, like I said on the last part, I'm
- 3:13pretty happy about it. So it was nice to see a bit of a
- 3:18thump in an aggregate and then just even worse, Chelsea 8 to an
- 3:21aggregate. Yeah, and like it was any kind
- 3:25of hope was done in like 1020 minutes.
- 3:28I considered 2 early goals. And then yeah, like PSG, I think
- 3:32we said it on the last part of the part before is like they've
- 3:36they're clicking into gear. Like same as last year, they had
- 3:39a wobble and they had to go through the qualifying phase and
- 3:42now they're like, OK, yeah, we're like they're free flowing
- 3:45football by the people that are bringing off the bench and
- 3:48Consolo Ramaz and Barcola and all these and Douay and the list
- 3:53goes on of how many good players they've got.
- 3:54So I don't know, I haven't looked at the the odds of who
- 3:58the favourites are now, but you've got to put them up there.
- 4:01Right out there, right out there.
- 4:02Yeah. It's just yeah, I wish you a
- 4:04good team, but it's not been a great look for the Premier
- 4:06League as it really with some of these aggregate scores.
- 4:09It's it's mad. And yeah, like you said,
- 4:11obviously in the first, like it was probably a bit flatter in
- 4:13that score to PSG, but then for it to close out at 8 two, it's
- 4:18yeah, not great. And then our mates, both all
- 4:22glutes ended up going out. Yeah.
- 4:24That's it. That's it crazy, crazy when it
- 4:27went obviously went to extra time and you think like they
- 4:31just needed one goal and they were three but just couldn't.
- 4:34Fair play to to sporting. But yeah, it's a shame.
- 4:38Like I just pulled Bodo away. He's always going to be a tough
- 4:40one for teams, our sporting shade.
- 4:42And he probably saw the the memes and the stats of like,
- 4:46they'd won, they'd won five in a row in the Champions League
- 4:48before We've won five in a row, like in any kind of across any
- 4:53competition. So yeah, fair play.
- 4:57Yeah, yeah, the fairy tales over, sadly.
- 5:00It is, it is, it is the man. Obviously still some some more
- 5:03fixtures tonight. So that Bassa Newcastle won, I
- 5:07mean, being interesting, but I do see that being a bit of a
- 5:09foregone conclusion now it's back at Bassa.
- 5:12Yeah, I think if they went in with one nil, which they should
- 5:15have done, then it would have been a bit more exciting.
- 5:20But I don't know, You just think Bassa.
- 5:22Obviously it's not the Bassa of yesteryear, but it's they're
- 5:26still got some decent players and I think they probably have
- 5:28enough to get over the line. I would quite like Newcastle to
- 5:30to go through like, like I always like to see a bit of an
- 5:34underdog story. So if they did go for Newcastle
- 5:36then I'm here for it. Then I don't want to win it, but
- 5:40OK boss is always fun. Yeah, same.
- 5:42Same. I can't see it, but yeah.
- 5:44And Anthony Gordon snapping back at Wayne Rooney and Ellen
- 5:46Shearer saying that he was basically been stiving, skiving
- 5:50on the bench. Yeah, Yeah.
- 5:53It's not just us getting grief online.
- 5:56I know. Yeah, I love it.
- 5:59And I guess obviously it's the, the modern world, right, with
- 6:01social media that I have the opportunity to respond to this
- 6:05kind of stuff in the public eye. And I don't know, like,
- 6:09obviously we had Van Dyke do it. We've had Martinez do it for for
- 6:13us. Like snapping back a bit.
- 6:15I don't mind it if they're like, as long as it's not, as long as
- 6:19it's not getting your head enough to affect you on the
- 6:21pitch, I think there's no issues of you kind of snapping back it
- 6:25if you disagree with what happened, it said.
- 6:27Yeah, no, I agree. I agree.
- 6:29And I thought you kind of spoke pretty well, to be honest.
- 6:30And obviously, you know, yeah, stuck to his facts.
- 6:33And yeah, I really was saying on his podcast that is different
- 6:36times, isn't it? And I think, you know, it's
- 6:38yeah, Fergie almost wouldn't have let that happen.
- 6:40But I don't think they get much choice now today.
- 6:42And if you'd be invented spaced on sports science instead of
- 6:45what you're supposed to do. But yeah.
- 6:48And then Liverpool One nil down by a home against Canada High.
- 6:52Surely not know exactly. Well, if they play like you guys
- 6:56Spurs, then you could see Galatasaray doing it.
- 7:00But again, you've got to think that they'll have enough to to
- 7:04get through. But like guys, that's right.
- 7:07Never a nice team to play, especially away, but I think
- 7:10they'll have enough at home to to beat them.
- 7:12Can you imagine though? Can you imagine if they actually
- 7:14don't go through? It's going to be.
- 7:16Would they jacking us to sack suckings?
- 7:19No, I don't think so, but a lot of pressure.
- 7:22A lot of fans have lost their heads, right?
- 7:24I think with him they're like Europa League is looking more
- 7:28likely. Like if they've made a mind to
- 7:30change at the right time, like maybe they could push on.
- 7:33But I suspect they might go for Alonso in the summer is my
- 7:39guess. But yeah, maybe they'll just
- 7:42hold on for now. That's the obvious one.
- 7:46And somehow we're still talking about Tottenham Hotspur in the
- 7:49Champions League, but definitely not much much for much longer
- 7:52there. 52 down at home to Athletico tonight.
- 7:56Yeah, I can't see them getting through.
- 7:59Like they just can see too many goals.
- 8:01They obviously look much better against Liverpool, but also
- 8:04Liverpool would be pretty bad, an effort to go to a tough team
- 8:09to breakdown. I just don't think spares have
- 8:12the the players to do at the moment and not enough to to get
- 8:15a three nil win. I wouldn't.
- 8:17Well actually it used to be 4 nil win didn't it?
- 8:18Because no way goes and things like that.
- 8:20And I say, yeah, I don't don't see it happening.
- 8:23No chance, obviously on the back of a a decent result against
- 8:25Liverpool, but you just can't see that.
- 8:27I think, you know, that could be a could be another mess you want
- 8:30for Spurs, but we'll see, we'll see.
- 8:33And just before we get into our upcoming game and preview
- 8:36Senegal strips of the African Cup of Nations.
- 8:40Yeah, Like, oh, no, first of all, why?
- 8:46If that's the rules, why are you taking two months to say that?
- 8:48You could probably do that on the night and go, actually
- 8:50you've forfeited the game, so you're off the pitch for too
- 8:52long. Yeah.
- 8:53Like, why are you taking two months?
- 8:55And then, I don't know, as a player, would you won that medal
- 9:01Like at the end of the day that you carried on playing for the
- 9:04rest of those minutes. Obviously there was a 10 minute
- 9:06break. Would you want like Brahim Diaz,
- 9:09obviously that awful penalty, but I know like I just feel it's
- 9:16tarnished either way. I guess it's tarnished no matter
- 9:18what. But I don't know.
- 9:19As an Algeria player, would you, sorry, Morocco player, would you
- 9:23want, would you won the medal when you didn't win the game?
- 9:26I don't know. Honestly, I just can't believe
- 9:29it. And like you say, you know, two
- 9:30months later as well, it's crazy.
- 9:32I mean, it's one of them, isn't it?
- 9:33They've had all the, you know, they've lifted the trophy there.
- 9:36They've had all the celebrations.
- 9:39You know, the history books will now show that Morocco won it.
- 9:42And but there's always going to be an asterisk there, isn't it?
- 9:44But just think of the what Morocco have actually missed out
- 9:48on in terms of really celebrating that, celebrating
- 9:51with the. Yeah, exactly.
- 9:52Yeah. It's.
- 9:54Not, oh, Susan, home a home nation as well.
- 9:56So they it would have been insane to be there like having
- 10:00won it. And like you said, the the
- 10:02parties and the street parties and all sorts.
- 10:04So now it's like, I don't know, people celebrating now.
- 10:07I'm not sure. I'd have to have a look on
- 10:09social media to see how Moroccans are reacting right?
- 10:13Yeah, I mean of the, you know, if the rules are that black and
- 10:17white, as you say, how is it taking this long?
- 10:18And yeah, that's that's what's bonkers for me.
- 10:22But maybe though, Chaz, it's a little bit like when City get
- 10:25all them charges and get stripped of all them stuff.
- 10:27When we get some other trophies, are we gonna have a party?
- 10:31Absolutely. Asterix are no Asterix for
- 10:35having it. Yeah, 100% yeah.
- 10:39Yeah. So I'll be.
- 10:40Buzzing. So maybe go for it, Morocco.
- 10:43Who cares? Champion can't be honest.
- 10:48Brilliant, brilliant. Well, yeah, that's the that's
- 10:50the world of football really, since we since we last met.
- 10:53But let's get into it. Let's get into our game coming
- 10:55up on on Friday at the Vitality Stadium, 8:00 PM in the UK.
- 11:00It's on on Sky Sports. I keep saying it, but another
- 11:05big one, mainly because you don't have lots of football to
- 11:07play, but with us playing on Friday night as well, what an
- 11:10opportunity to add even more distance and pressure on that
- 11:13kind of chasing, yeah. Yeah, exactly what I was
- 11:16thinking. Like first of all, we don't want
- 11:1923 day a day gap of us sitting on a lofts or a disappointing
- 11:24draw. And then like you said, just to
- 11:26ramp up that pressure before the rest of the weekend pictures.
- 11:30It just be a nice place to enjoy the enjoy the weekend's games.
- 11:35So yeah, hopefully we have to get the win because yeah, I just
- 11:39think we had that gap, even that gap of afternoon to Newcastle of
- 11:4311 days was awful. So yeah, double that.
- 11:47It's yeah, not going to be fun. So yeah, we've got, we've got to
- 11:51win basically. Tricky, tricky 1 though.
- 11:54Bournemouth like a really one when I was looking at them as
- 11:56well. It's it's a hard one to kind of
- 11:58make out because their last three games they've drew nil,
- 12:01nil with Burnley away, nil, nil with Brentford at home, 11 with
- 12:05Sunderland at home. They sit in 10th position.
- 12:09And then I was looking at kind of their goals for and again, so
- 12:12they've scored more goals in Aston Villa, which maybe isn't
- 12:15too difficult, but then they've conceded almost as many as
- 12:18Tottenham, who are looking like they might even go down.
- 12:21So such a weird. I mean, you know, I'm hoping now
- 12:26at this stage and under Carrick and where how we can play and it
- 12:28should all be about was right and I was taking the game to
- 12:31them and you'd hope you'd have enough.
- 12:32But definitely a tricky customer and obviously they've Iola as
- 12:35well as the as the manager there poses a threat and, you know,
- 12:39some say may have his eye on the on the United job.
- 12:43But yeah, what do you think about?
- 12:44Yeah. Right.
- 12:46I was looking at their stats before they've actually drawn 5
- 12:48out of the last six games. So they're obviously showing
- 12:53enough that they did they lose many games.
- 12:55They just maybe they're obviously they've lost their
- 12:58their ghost or their main goal scorer.
- 13:00Obviously in the January transfer window, it's a menu.
- 13:02So maybe that's because of that essentially they've lost their
- 13:06they've lost their main attacking threats.
- 13:08So maybe some of these games, last six games maybe would have
- 13:11been a win because he would have picked up with a goal.
- 13:14But now they're just not haven't got quite got that firepower to
- 13:17turn all those into wins or most of those into wins.
- 13:19I think they're a decent team. Like we've struggled against
- 13:23them in the past as well. They scored quite a lot against
- 13:25this. So like you said, still got to
- 13:30go in with confidence, but definitely don't want to
- 13:35understate them because they they're a decent football,
- 13:38football playing team. They're not like a low block
- 13:40kind of messy team. They can play football, which
- 13:43again, I hope plays into our actual failures as we've
- 13:47mentioned before, like we tend to do better against teams who
- 13:49don't just sit back. So I think they fall into that
- 13:52category, although obviously knowing that, will they do that,
- 13:59knowing that that's kind of our kryptonite in in some ways they
- 14:03might try and change that, but I don't know if they necessarily
- 14:05have the players to do that. They're not a super physical
- 14:08team like some of the ones like in Newcastle or or in Everton
- 14:12say. Yeah, it'll be interesting.
- 14:15Yeah, definitely. And obviously from recent
- 14:16results, they've been keeping things pretty tight.
- 14:18And this is where it's down to our our special players that
- 14:21we've been talking about to like find a way, you know, and unlock
- 14:24things. And, you know, is it going to be
- 14:26a step piece? You know, is it going to be a
- 14:28bit of magic from somebody? You know, this is where we need
- 14:30those players to really step up. And maybe it is, you know, a
- 14:34chance for the likes of copy to, you know, in games like this to,
- 14:36you know, to offer a little bit more as well as an additional,
- 14:39you know, attacking option and and to unlock them.
- 14:42But tricky customer. We're doing this.
- 14:46We're doing this a little bit earlier than some of the press
- 14:48conferences and stuff like this. So I don't have all the
- 14:49information. But in terms of team news that
- 14:52kind of picked up on for them. So Tyler Adams is a doubt for
- 14:56them. You know, he's a decent player.
- 15:00Cook, solo and Cliver are out. But then yeah, a few players in
- 15:06terms of ones to watch ready from, from my point of view for
- 15:10Bournemouth. So Tavernier, obviously, he's
- 15:12been linked with those as a potential new left winger.
- 15:14What do you think of him? Yeah.
- 15:16He's decent. I don't know if again, I'd have
- 15:19him as a he's a good squad addition, but he wouldn't be
- 15:23like our starting left midfielder in my opinion.
- 15:26And he's decent kind of from set pieces as well.
- 15:29So yeah, decent player. Definitely wanted the players I
- 15:32thought is that kind of a threat as well.
- 15:34So yeah, decent. I obviously think like Ivan
- 15:40Ilsen, he's decent player. He's kind of he gets stuck in,
- 15:44he's a bit annoying, he's like quite aggressive player and pops
- 15:48up with a goal as well. So I think he's he's probably
- 15:51mainly probably their main threat now that Semenya has
- 15:53gone. And if Clyde, that's out as
- 15:54well, he's probably the one we have to pay most attention to
- 15:57from kind of a striker perspective.
- 15:59Yeah, it's a good shout. I kind of worry a little bit
- 16:01with him and your old because sometimes a bit of that
- 16:04physicality and up against Yeah and he's, you know, he's a bit
- 16:07fragile with but fingers crossed that's not an issue.
- 16:11I think some of the players are like from Bournemouth as well.
- 16:14Alex Scott looks like a player in this field.
- 16:16He's a good one. Yeah, and then looks tidy.
- 16:20I'll be. Honest this is mainly fantasy
- 16:21football related but Sanesi I've got him on my team and he's just
- 16:25always returns points and he got 1010 last round.
- 16:29Is it is it just is also they're gay, they're not consuming many
- 16:32and is he pop up assists or is it is it clean sheets?
- 16:36It's a. Mixture of I think just assists,
- 16:39sometimes I think the odd goal as well and just man of the
- 16:42match and man of the match points as well.
- 16:44So hopefully he has a disaster for me in fantasy.
- 16:49There's no way he's definitely starting.
- 16:51I'm doing that just to make sure that I'm not I'm already on my
- 16:56team, but he's definitely another another one to watch.
- 17:01Cool, right. Turning the attention to us in
- 17:04terms of availability again, you know, ahead of really hearing
- 17:07from Carrick, but it feels like more of the same.
- 17:09So no Martinez as far as I'm aware, no delete, no doggy.
- 17:14You're hearing kind of anything else?
- 17:17That knows exactly the same. I think everyone else basically
- 17:21the usual suspects that we've been seeing I think are all
- 17:24available. So I'd just love to know a bit
- 17:28more about what's going on with Dimick.
- 17:32Obviously back injuries, one of these ones which I don't know,
- 17:36you never really know and they're quite hard to diagnose I
- 17:39guess as well in terms of actual, actual issue.
- 17:41And they're not easy, easy things to fix.
- 17:43So you just got to hope that he can get back playing at least a
- 17:47few games before the season ends and she would be a great
- 17:50addition. Well, I've had AI don't know.
- 17:54If he's in in the World Cup, obviously he's a strange
- 17:56relationship with Cuman on his face.
- 18:00Cuman. So again, selfishly, from a
- 18:04United perspective, if he had the summer off, probably pretty
- 18:07good for him because he maybe it's one of those things where
- 18:08you just need to fully heal up and playing a game every every
- 18:12three days or so in the real World Cup might not be ideal for
- 18:15him. But I know he's probably, he has
- 18:17been in the squad and he had a few starts recently.
- 18:20But I think they have a bit of a weird relationship then.
- 18:23Yeah, yeah. It's a shame for him.
- 18:25I think I've had a sympathy injury for him.
- 18:27Jazz. So obviously as the Arsenal
- 18:29fans, as the Arsenal fans keep telling us in the comments,
- 18:32we're a couple of old men. And to be fair, I'm proving it
- 18:36because played Paddle the other day and my back's gone and it's
- 18:40a, it's a nightmare. So I can, I can relate.
- 18:44You've got a few. How long you're out for?
- 18:47Oh. He knows it could be a delay.
- 18:49Maybe I'm never, they don't ever return.
- 18:52But yeah, horrible, horrible injury.
- 18:56And just wish him, wish him all the best because I'm feeling it
- 18:58for him. I'm feeling it for him.
- 18:59Hope we get him back in with that in mind then line UPS what
- 19:04you're thinking. Obviously, especially the same
- 19:09again, I think you basically go through the exact same.
- 19:12So lemons right back, Dallow, Yoro, Martinez, Shaw, Kobe,
- 19:19Cass, Bruno and then this is doing obviously the only one
- 19:23which he kind of switched in and out.
- 19:25I I'm going to go. I don't think this is probably
- 19:28what he's going to do, but this is what I'm going to do.
- 19:30Kunia, Cesco, Ahmad. I think bride just looks a bit,
- 19:36I don't know, but it's a bit off it the last few games.
- 19:38Yeah, a bit sluggish maybe. So that's what I would do, but I
- 19:42think he will probably start the same team as started against.
- 19:52Where's my head gone when? Did we play last?
- 19:58You mean Villa Villa. Same team as we played as we
- 20:03played against Villa, but I don't know.
- 20:08Yeah, I think he'll probably start the same team as that.
- 20:12But I what I prefer, I think maybe just mix it up a bit.
- 20:16Like they probably think you're going to start same team, Maybe
- 20:17do you start Cesco and start Ahmad?
- 20:20Because I can't believe what I think is Kyle Anka was doing
- 20:22some analysis the other day and he was saying that in the Villa
- 20:27game he had a chat with Junior at some point.
- 20:30And basically he was like get wider, stick more to that left
- 20:34wing because I'm a Brazilian on the round side.
- 20:37And that's what the kind of goal came from, from that kind of
- 20:40bending run. So I think maybe those two will
- 20:42just offer better width, which I think is suits Cesco because
- 20:47like I said in the last in the review, we were putting balls in
- 20:49turn Bomo and it's pointless get the six foot 5 strider in there.
- 20:55So yeah, that's what I would do. Yeah, I agree with you.
- 20:59I think I love Brian but I think he's been been off it a little
- 21:02bit and I think actually Ahmad does look the part and probably
- 21:06deserves it. But I don't think I think Cesco
- 21:09will start, but I think Brian will start as well and Ahmed
- 21:12will drop to the bench. I think Carrick will show
- 21:15loyalty and also part of me thinks is Carrick thinking, I'm
- 21:21wondering whether like I'm always an impact player off the
- 21:24bench as much as Cisco or Ahmad might be.
- 21:26So that that's maybe why he doesn't.
- 21:29I mean, I've got little to no evidence to actually suggest
- 21:32that Brian could have come off the bench and do stuff.
- 21:34But the fact that he's not really done that maybe suggests
- 21:37that he thinks he can get more out of a Cisco or an so yeah, I
- 21:43agree with you kind of I think it makes sense maybe for our to
- 21:46start, but I don't think he will.
- 21:47And I think you'll, you know, the team you've mentioned with
- 21:50junior Brian and Cesco, Cesco up there, or maybe maybe this is a
- 21:54game that Brian, you know, gets, gets a goal or two.
- 21:56That'd be great, wouldn't it? Yeah, yeah.
- 21:59Exactly. And all right, let's get on to
- 22:02that then. Predicted jazz big one last
- 22:04time. You got it almost spot on.
- 22:06And you said you're going to put some money behind it from from
- 22:08now as well. So what you're going for?
- 22:10Yeah. I'm going to go to 1 United and
- 22:15I'm going to have Junior and Cesco goals.
- 22:21Yeah. And then for them, Evan Nelson
- 22:24is the goal, and then I'm going to have one Bruno assist this
- 22:28week. As always, as always, let's make
- 22:31it, let's make it, let's make it detail.
- 22:33Do you think in how the goal is going to?
- 22:37Go, we'll go one up, they'll equalize and then Cesco even
- 22:43maybe off the bench or I think it will get the winner.
- 22:46Love it, love it. I've gone 2 nil.
- 22:50I'm thinking I'm feeling a clean sheet, which I would love, and
- 22:53I've gone Cesco and gone for a little McGuire McGuire goal.
- 22:59You're a slab head corner. Yeah, yeah, I feel maybe a con.
- 23:03Yeah. I can just see, you know, a bit
- 23:05of a rogue, rogue goal story, but you know, that's never.
- 23:07Assessed right there, isn't it? For Bruno?
- 23:10Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:10I mean, you can't not think that, can you really?
- 23:13But yeah, just I have a feeling that it could be, could be a bit
- 23:16of a Harry Maguire, Harry McGuire moment.
- 23:18So yeah, two nil and hopefully either of us is right because I
- 23:22just want the win going into this break, as you've mentioned.
- 23:25But yeah, I think tricky, tricky game potentially, but we should
- 23:29have enough. And yeah, looking forward to it.
- 23:32I really want to enjoy it because there's no football
- 23:34after it that I want to watch. So definitely all the juicy
- 23:39games from from this game make as well.
- 23:42So as I mentioned, we're up first.
- 23:44So it's a chance to make an early mark.
- 23:46And then what is tasty is that then Liverpool are away at
- 23:50Brighton who are on form, which is which is.
- 23:53Yeah, Brian have been. Picking up quietly.
- 23:55Been picking up points for a push for Europe after having a
- 23:57bit of a dodgy patch. I think they they're making a
- 23:59late surgery, yeah. So it could be, you know, really
- 24:03interesting. So even they win even more
- 24:05important Chelsea away at Everton, which as we know is I
- 24:09know they're not doing great at the new stadium.
- 24:11However, they've been a bit of a tricky customer.
- 24:14Haven't they ready Everton just generally?
- 24:15So that's another. You can see that being.
- 24:18A draw, yeah. I'll take, I'll take draws all
- 24:22day. You know, if the if I was
- 24:25getting three points at the minute and we are hopefully then
- 24:27it's brilliant. Just makes that a little bit
- 24:29more comfortable and then over noticeable fixtures.
- 24:34It's actually Newcastle V Sunderland, which is a big game
- 24:36for them. And this week.
- 24:38Oh yeah, I wonder how. That will go after the turns out
- 24:42it goes tonight with Bassa maybe yeah.
- 24:46You feel like if they managed to get through and they'll be at a
- 24:48high and I might, probably might actually carry them through.
- 24:51Yeah, that game. But it'll be interesting one.
- 24:54Yeah, and they're going to be up for that game anywhere out in
- 24:55the Saint James's Park as well. Few.
- 24:58Few beers are going to be drunk on that day out there.
- 25:01Yeah, and then a big, big one down the bottom.
- 25:03Spurs at home to Forest. Massive.
- 25:07Huge. Like it's.
- 25:09Always one of those ones if you lose that the gap then become
- 25:14like a spurs when it'll be 4 point gap.
- 25:16I think is, but if if forests win that also it's at it's at
- 25:22home for spares and that's almost worse for them.
- 25:26I think like if they don't start well or first getting the first
- 25:29goal, I think like and I think first have obviously they're
- 25:33kind of going in different directions first kind of
- 25:35improving and and spares obviously on a kind of led the
- 25:39lane. So yeah, really interesting
- 25:43game. I'm quite excited to see that
- 25:45one. I think tonight's big for that
- 25:47game as well, to be honest, because I think if Spurs get
- 25:49absolutely slapped by F, like, Oh yeah, at a minute, they've
- 25:54got probably a bit of confidence and a bit of wind in the sails
- 25:57from the Liverpool game. But yeah, if they go into that
- 26:01and, you know, actually being hammered by Athletico, then it's
- 26:04not going to help, is it? It's not going to help.
- 26:05All the fans are feeling as well.
- 26:07And then away from the Premier League, there's no game for
- 26:11Arsenal and City because they've got the League Cup final to
- 26:14contest. Yeah.
- 26:16What do you think? Just got.
- 26:19Offered a ticket for that and I said absolutely not.
- 26:22Really. Why?
- 26:23We don't want to watch 2 clubs I hate.
- 26:26So yeah, turned that down. Brilliant.
- 26:32I I think Arsenal will win it like City just have been.
- 26:37There's not just been playing rubbish right?
- 26:39Let's be honest. Like they've been dropping
- 26:41points for over shopping. Obviously went to Champions
- 26:42League last night. Maybe that all galvanized them
- 26:45potentially, but like Arsenal kind of Morales are obviously
- 26:51very high. They basically won the league.
- 26:52They got through the Champions League.
- 26:55So you think that their confidence must take them
- 26:57through? I think they will.
- 26:59I think they'll win it. It's yeah, I agree, yeah.
- 27:03The thing is though, and it could be funny for us with our
- 27:06beloved Arsenal fans, but it's got a little bit of a wobble in
- 27:10it in terms of if City can capitalize on this and like make
- 27:15a mark and beat them comfortably, then they've still
- 27:17gone to play again. And you know, a lot this there's
- 27:19a lot of distance. They're not really between them
- 27:21and them and asked in the league.
- 27:22But I think just psychologically it could be a it could be a
- 27:26juicy one for kind of City to get them beat and then take it
- 27:30forward. So yeah, I mean, I'm interested
- 27:33to see, to see what happens with that and obviously if, sorry, if
- 27:38Arsenal win it, then we've got them celebrating already and
- 27:42talking about all sorts of nonsense like trebles and things
- 27:44like that. So as much as I don't want to
- 27:48see to win anything ever, this just really starts the Arsenal
- 27:54loving, doesn't it? Which I don't think I'm ready
- 27:56for. Yeah.
- 27:57No, definitely not. Definitely not.
- 28:00Yeah, that's that's the weekend's football to look
- 28:02forward to. And now it's time for the usual
- 28:05challenge, Jazz. But I believe, I believe we're
- 28:08flipping it. We are indeed.
- 28:11You're coming at me, right Challenge.
- 28:15It's a couple of questions because it's not like a list of
- 28:19stuff, but. All right, come on, Say Pat.
- 28:22Say Patrick's Day yesterday. So I'm going Irish Irish related
- 28:27like so first one which Irish born Manchester United player is
- 28:32the only one to have scored a hat trick for the club in
- 28:35European competition? Against which?
- 28:38So which was the first story to to score a hat trick in the
- 28:43European competition? Irish born Which Irish born
- 28:47Manchester United player is the first to score a hat trick in
- 28:51European competition? Yeah, it might even be.
- 28:54The only one actually thinking about it probably is only
- 28:58actually is only and test. Is right keen too obvious?
- 29:05Yeah, think of other goal scoring Irish players.
- 29:09Right, OK. In United history, this is
- 29:16Remember, I was going to say. This got to be back in back in
- 29:18the day a little bit, hasn't it? You come at me with a with an
- 29:26interesting one. Chef the bat.
- 29:30Irish Manchester United player, if you if you're listening and
- 29:33screaming. This is the answer, Spencer.
- 29:35Get it in the comments. Get it in the comments.
- 29:38I'm panicking, I'm struggling. I think it's going to be clue
- 29:46time. Our traffic.
- 29:55Is it Johnny Best? Yeah, I'm thinking, Oh my word,
- 30:04you're a chance. To reject your show.
- 30:05That's a shocker for me, isn't it?
- 30:09I given it the old Northern Irish, you know, I didn't really
- 30:12think about it. Paul.
- 30:15Paul for me. Give you what?
- 30:16Whatever question, go on, go on which?
- 30:19Which Irish player scored bunch of 2?
- 30:21Not his first ever goal in the Premier League.
- 30:27Dennis Irwin. Correct.
- 30:30Yes, I'm back. I can stay on the podcast.
- 30:34I can give you one more if you want.
- 30:36Oh yeah, I think of that. Oh go on, let's do it for the do
- 30:39it for the listeners and the watchers.
- 30:45Who was the first Irish player to captain Manchester United in
- 30:49the Premier League era? It's kind of Reiki, isn't it?
- 30:57Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's basically between Roy Keane
- 31:00and Dennis Irwin. Let's be honest.
- 31:01Yeah. Yeah, I like the little Parties
- 31:04Day theme. That's a good one.
- 31:06Yeah. So we've done Scotland Last pod,
- 31:09Ireland this pod. What next?
- 31:12Yeah, what's next? Brilliant.
- 31:15Fill it a night. That challenge spin.
- 31:16Absolutely embarrassed myself on the first one, but slightly
- 31:20redeem. Slightly.
- 31:22Not remembering Darren Fletcher last game, so yeah that.
- 31:24Was a That was a shocker, to be fair, but I don't know what it
- 31:27is when you're filming as well. It just disappears in your mind,
- 31:30doesn't your head guys. Doesn't it your new?
- 31:32Scores. On United again, yeah.
- 31:34What is this team? I guess it's funny for people
- 31:37watching and listening, but less so for us and our credibility.
- 31:40But anyway, anyway, yeah, let's leave it there.
- 31:43Yeah, game on Friday. Looking forward to it.
- 31:45Really, really hope we can get another win and just have a nice
- 31:48break. Feeling good about United and
- 31:50where we are. We'll obviously be back with you
- 31:53with a match review to see how it goes and digest everything.
- 31:58But yeah, what do you think? Give us your predicted line UPS.
- 32:01Give us your predicted scores. As always in the comments, don't
- 32:05forget to like, subscribe and follow wherever you're watching,
- 32:09YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and get us on the socials as
- 32:13well. And until next time, just want
- 32:15to say a massive thank you as always and we will see you in
- 32:19the next one.
