SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Create Love, Create Freedom Podcast.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_00: This podcast explores feminine psychology, emotional healing, embodiment, attachment, sovereignty, relationships, nervous system regulation, archetypes, and conscious womanhood in a post spectacle world.
• 0:26
SPEAKER_00: My name is Alison Fisher, and my work centers on internal authority and relational clarity across the seasons of a woman's life.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_00: On today's episode, I would like to discuss when we as women spend years living against our own nature.
• 0:51
SPEAKER_00: What I have found is that there comes a point in a woman's life where the exhaustion no longer feels purely physical.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_00: It feels psychological, existential.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women assume this means something is wrong with them.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes the exhaustion is not coming from weakness.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_00: It's coming from spending years living against your own nature, from overriding your instincts, suppressing your emotions, performing identities that no longer fit, and maintaining relationships, careers, or versions of yourself that require chronic self-abandonment.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_00: Because human beings can survive adaptation for a long time, but eventually the nervous system begins telling the truth.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_00: And I think modern culture often rewards disconnection from self.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_00: We praise overfunctioning, we reward burnout, we normalize emotional suppression, we admire performance, productivity, image, and endless optimization.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_00: But very few people are asking, what does it cost psychologically to continuously betray yourself in order to remain acceptable?
• 2:23
SPEAKER_00: And that is what this episode is about the psychological cost of chronic self-abandonment, why the nervous system eventually revolts against incongruence, why so many people feel exhausted even when their lives appear successful externally.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_00: And also what begins happening when someone finally stops organizing their entire life around performance and starts returning to themselves instead.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_00: Because I don't think most people and most women are exhausted from being who they are.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_00: I think most women are exhausted from trying to be someone they are not.
• 3:10
  SPEAKER_00: Let's begin.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_00: First, I would like to examine the human psyche and how the human psyche cannot sustain chronic self-betrayal.
• 3:24
SPEAKER_00: One of the most important things to understand about human psychology is that people can survive living against themselves for a very long time.
• 3:34
SPEAKER_00: But surviving and thriving are not the same thing.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women become so adept to self-betrayal that they no longer even recognize it.
• 3:52
SPEAKER_00: Because self-betrayal is not always dramatic.
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it is subtle.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_00: It is learning very early what parts of yourself are acceptable, what emotions create rejection, what traits create approval, and what versions of yourself feel safest to become.
• 4:16
  SPEAKER_00: And so people adapt.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_00: Children especially adapt in order to survive emotionally, relationally, psychologically, and sometimes physically.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_00: A child quickly learns who do I need to become in order to remain loved, safe, accepted, or valued?
• 4:38
SPEAKER_00: And often those adaptations continue into adulthood, into womanhood.
• 4:45
SPEAKER_00: Hyperindependence becomes identity, perfectionism becomes personality, people pleasing becomes kindness.
• 4:54
  SPEAKER_00: Overfunctioning becomes competence.
• 4:58
  SPEAKER_00: Emotional suppression becomes maturity.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_00: And many women never question these patterns because the world often rewards them.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_00: The endless productive person is admired.
• 5:12
SPEAKER_00: The self sacrificing woman is praised.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_00: The emotionally restrained man is respected.
• 5:20
SPEAKER_00: The high achiever receives validation.
• 5:24
SPEAKER_00: So externally the adaptation looks successful, but internally the psyche is carrying enormous strain.
• 5:33
SPEAKER_00: Because the human psyche cannot sustain chronic incongruence forever.
• 5:38
SPEAKER_00: Eventually there is exhaustion, not just physical exhaustion, but psychological exhaustion.
• 5:46
SPEAKER_00: The exhaustion of constantly performing, the exhaustion of suppressing instinct, the exhaustion of trying to become acceptable at the expense of becoming authentic.
• 6:00
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women reach a point where they subtly feel emotionally numb, disconnected, anxious, resentful, chronically tired, unable to feel joy, and strangely empty despite external success.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_00: And they might often immediately think something's wrong with me.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the deeper truth is I have been living against myself for too long.
• 6:32
SPEAKER_00: Because maintaining a performed identity requires enormous energy, especially when that identity is fundamentally disconnected from your real temperament, emotional needs, instincts, desires, or nervous system.
• 6:52
SPEAKER_00: And I think women experience this especially intensely.
• 6:58
SPEAKER_00: Many women are conditioned very early to become emotionally manageable versions of themselves, to be accommodating, desirable, agreeable, emotionally attuned to everyone else, productive, nurturing, and non-threatening.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_00: And over time, many women become experts at reading others while becoming increasingly disconnected from themselves.
• 7:27
SPEAKER_00: And I think this is one of the quiet tragedies of modern life.
• 7:32
SPEAKER_00: People become incredibly skilled at functioning while losing touch with their own aliveness.
• 7:40
SPEAKER_00: They know how to perform, but they no longer know what genuinely feels true.
• 7:47
SPEAKER_00: And eventually the psyche begins resisting.
• 7:51
SPEAKER_00: Not because the woman is weak, but because human beings are not designed for endless self-suppression.
• 8:00
  SPEAKER_00: The psyche wants coherence.
• 8:02
  SPEAKER_00: It wants integrity.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_00: It wants the inner self and outer life to feel connected rather than constantly at war with each other.
• 8:12
SPEAKER_00: And when that coherence is absent for too long, symptoms begin emerging.
• 8:19
SPEAKER_00: Burnout, anxiety, emotional flatness, compulsive distraction, restlessness, desperation, loss of creativity, loss of desire.
• 8:33
SPEAKER_00: And I think modern culture often tries to optimize these symptoms without asking the deeper question.
• 8:41
SPEAKER_00: Is this woman exhausted because she is broken, or because she is attempting to sustain a life that violates her nature?
• 8:51
SPEAKER_00: Because there is a profound difference between the exhaustion that comes from meaningful growth and the exhaustion that comes from chronic self-abandonment.
• 9:03
SPEAKER_00: One expands the self, the other slowly erodes it.
• 9:25
SPEAKER_00: Let's look at the nervous system and how it seems to always grow.
• 9:33
SPEAKER_00: I think one of the most fascinating things about human beings is that the mind can rationalize almost anything.
• 9:42
SPEAKER_00: The mind can explain away exhaustion, normalize anxiety, justify overwork, minimize loneliness, and convince itself that life is fine, even when something deeper feels profoundly disconnected.
• 10:01
SPEAKER_00: But the nervous system is much more honest because the body does not care nearly as much about the story we tell ourselves as it does about whether we are living in alignment with our actual nature.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_00: And eventually, the nervous system begins communicating what the conscious mind is trying not to acknowledge.
• 10:25
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women experience this as chronic fatigue, burnout, anxiety, emotional numbness, inability to rest, brain fog, irritability, constant overstimulation, loss of joy, low grade despair, emotional flatness, and compulsive distraction.
• 10:50
SPEAKER_00: And of course, sometimes these things absolutely require clinical support, medical care, therapy, or deeper intervention.
• 11:00
SPEAKER_00: But I also think there are moments where symptoms are carrying information, not punishment, information.
• 11:09
SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes the nervous system is saying you have been overriding yourself for too long, or your body can no longer sustain the performance, your identity, the identity that you have adopted from your culture, from someone else, from what you think is right, is demanding.
• 11:29
SPEAKER_00: And I think that this is especially true for high-functioning women, women who are competent, reliable, productive, emotionally composed, because you can appear very successful externally while being profoundly disconnected internally.
• 11:50
SPEAKER_00: You can function beautifully when your nervous system is quietly collapsing underneath the weight of chronic self-suppression.
• 11:59
SPEAKER_00: And eventually, many women hit a wall, not because they're lazy, because they suddenly become incapable.
• 12:09
SPEAKER_00: I should say not because they suddenly become incapable, but because the nervous system was never designed to sustain endless contradiction between the inner self and the outer life.
• 12:25
SPEAKER_00: I think that contradiction is really the key.
• 12:29
SPEAKER_00: And I also think that this is where an important distinction matters.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_00: Not all discomfort means you are living against your nature.
• 12:40
SPEAKER_00: Growth is uncomfortable, healing is uncomfortable, expansion can be uncomfortable.
• 12:47
SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between this is difficult because I'm growing and this is difficult because I'm continuously abandoning myself.
• 12:58
SPEAKER_00: One expands the nervous system, the other erodes it.
• 13:04
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women, once they start listening to themselves and trusting themselves, they intuitively know the difference.
• 13:14
SPEAKER_00: Because there is a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from forcing yourself to remain inside identities, environments, relationships, or way of living that fundamentally oppose who you are.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_00: And modern culture often encourages women to override those signals.
• 13:36
SPEAKER_00: Push through, keep going, stay productive, ignore your feelings, and optimize harder.
• 13:44
SPEAKER_00: But eventually the body begins resisting what the psyche can no longer tolerate.
• 13:50
SPEAKER_00: And this is why it's so why so many women feel emotionally exhausted right now.
• 13:59
SPEAKER_00: Not simply because life is hard, although it certainly can be, but because many women are trying to maintain lives that require constant performance instead of genuine presence.
• 14:12
SPEAKER_00: And what's difficult is that many women become so disconnected from themselves that they no longer know what genuine rest feels like, what genuine desire feels like, what genuine safety feels like, and what actually brings them to a place of aliveness.
• 14:34
SPEAKER_00: Everything becomes filtered through survival adaptation, through image, through expectation, through performance.
• 14:43
SPEAKER_00: And one of the most important parts of healing is beginning to listen again.
• 14:50
SPEAKER_00: Listening to what your body relaxes around, what constantly drains you, what feels emotionally true, what creates contraction, what creates expansion, what environments nourish your nervous system, and what relationships require self-erasure.
• 15:13
SPEAKER_00: Because the nervous system is constantly communicating.
• 15:18
SPEAKER_00: The question is whether we are willing to listen for the body is forced to scream what the psyche has been whispering for years.
• 15:30
SPEAKER_00: Let's examine why modern culture rewards disconnection from self.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_00: I think one of the hardest things for me initially was to realize that modern culture often rewards functionality more than wholeness.
• 15:52
SPEAKER_00: A woman can be highly productive, highly admired, highly successful, and still be profoundly disconnected from herself.
• 16:02
SPEAKER_00: And in many ways, modern systems depend on that disconnection because disconnected people are often easier to manage, easier to pressure, easier to sell to, easier to keep performing.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_00: And I don't necessarily mean that in some dramatic conspiratorial sense.
• 16:28
  SPEAKER_00: I mean structurally.
• 16:31
SPEAKER_00: Modern culture tends to reward productivity over presence, performance over authenticity, image over depth, optimization over embodiment, and constant stimulation over reflection.
• 16:48
SPEAKER_00: And this conditioning starts very early.
• 16:51
SPEAKER_00: Children quickly learn what parts of themselves are rewarded and what parts are inconvenient.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_00: School often rewards obedience over individuality, performance over curiosity, and efficiency over imagination.
• 17:09
SPEAKER_00: And adulthood often depends on deepens the pattern.
• 17:20
SPEAKER_00: I found that many workplaces reward burnout.
• 17:23
  SPEAKER_00: Social media rewards performance.
• 17:27
  SPEAKER_00: Consumer culture rewards insecurity.
• 17:31
SPEAKER_00: People begin constructing identities around external validation instead of internal coherence.
• 17:41
SPEAKER_00: And eventually, many women lose touch with who they actually are underneath all the adaptation.
• 17:49
SPEAKER_00: I think women experience this especially intensely.
• 17:54
SPEAKER_00: Women are often conditioned very early to monitor their tone, their appearance, their likability, their emotional impact, their desirability, and relational harmony.
• 18:09
SPEAKER_00: Many women become extraordinarily attuned to everyone around them while becoming increasingly disconnected from themselves.
• 18:18
SPEAKER_00: And modern femininity often creates impossible contradictions.
• 18:24
SPEAKER_00: Women are expected to be ambitious, but not too intimidating, attractive, but effortless, nurturing, but also independent, emotionally supportive, but low maintenance, soft, but endlessly productive.
• 18:43
SPEAKER_00: And over time, many women internalize these expectations so deeply that performance starts replacing authenticity.
• 18:53
SPEAKER_00: That being said, I think men experience this too in different ways.
• 18:58
SPEAKER_00: Many men are conditioned to suppress vulnerability very early, to disconnect from emotion, to equate worth with performance, provision, or achievement.
• 19:10
SPEAKER_00: And I think this creates enormous loneliness for both men and women, because people begin relating through performance identities instead of genuine psychological presence.
• 19:27
SPEAKER_00: And one of the most painful realities is that people are often rewarded for the very adaptations that are internally harming them.
• 19:37
SPEAKER_00: The overworking entrepreneur is admired.
• 19:40
SPEAKER_00: The self-sacrificing woman is praised.
• 19:43
SPEAKER_00: The emotionally restrained man is respected.
• 19:47
SPEAKER_00: The endlessly available person is seen as good.
• 19:52
SPEAKER_00: So many people never question the cost until the nervous system begins collapsing under the pressure of chronic disconnection.
• 20:02
SPEAKER_00: And I think this is one of the reasons so many people feel emotionally exhausted right now.
• 20:08
SPEAKER_00: Not simply because life is difficult, but because modern culture often requires enormous amounts of self-suppression just to function inside of it.
• 20:19
SPEAKER_00: There is very little space for slowness, depth, grief, contemplation, nervous system restoration, real intimacy, and emotional honesty.
• 20:33
SPEAKER_00: Everything moves quickly, everything is performative, everything is externally oriented.
• 20:40
SPEAKER_00: And eventually many people, many women become strangers to themselves.
• 20:48
SPEAKER_00: Because when external noise becomes constant, internal truth becomes difficult to hear.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_00: And I personally think that this is why reclaiming your nature can initially feel almost rebellious.
• 21:05
SPEAKER_00: Not necessarily loudly rebellious, psychologically rebellious.
• 21:11
SPEAKER_00: Because returning to yourself often means questioning identities you were rewarded for, relationships built around performance, systems that benefited from your self-abandonment, and definitions of success that cost you your aliveness.
• 21:31
SPEAKER_00: And that can feel terrifying because many people unconsciously wonder, if I stop performing, will I still be loved?
• 21:41
SPEAKER_00: And honestly, sometimes certain relationships or environments do not survive your integration because some people were connected to the version of you that abandoned yourself to remain acceptable.
• 21:58
  SPEAKER_00: But I think eventually.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_00: A woman's psyche wants more than approval.
• 22:03
  SPEAKER_00: It wants truth.
• 22:04
  SPEAKER_00: It wants coherence.
• 22:06
SPEAKER_00: It wants a life where the inner self and outer life are no longer in constant conflict.
• 22:13
SPEAKER_00: And I think that longing is becoming stronger for men and women right now.
• 22:21
SPEAKER_00: Longing, a longing not for perfection, but for a way of living that no longer requires chronic self-erasure in order to belong.
• 22:37
SPEAKER_00: Let's examine reclaiming your nature and how it requires loss.
• 22:44
SPEAKER_00: One of the reasons why so many people stay disconnected from themselves is because deep down they understand that reclaiming their true nature will cost them something.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_00: And don't think that we not only talk about this enough, but actually look what the cost will be.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_00: We often romanticize healing and authenticity as though becoming more yourself is simply freeing and empowering all the time.
• 23:19
SPEAKER_00: But there is also grief.
• 23:21
  SPEAKER_00: There is loss.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_00: Because the moment a woman begins becoming more psychologically integrated, she also begins seeing clearly what relationships depended on performance, what identities were built around survival, what environments required self-abandonment, and what parts of herself she suppressed in order to remain loved, safe, or acceptable.
• 23:50
SPEAKER_00: And that realization can be very painful because reclaiming yourself often means losing the structures that rewarded your disconnection.
• 24:01
SPEAKER_00: Sometimes relationships change, sometimes careers stop fitting, and sometimes entire identities begin collapsing.
• 24:11
SPEAKER_00: And I think this experience is very intense, right?
• 24:22
SPEAKER_00: Because women are socialized, socially rewarded for self-erasure.
• 24:28
SPEAKER_00: The accommodating woman is praised, the endlessly giving woman is admired, the emotionally available woman is expected.
• 24:38
SPEAKER_00: So when a woman becomes more truthful, more boundried, more discerning, less willing to overfunction emotionally for everyone around her, more sovereign.
• 24:51
  SPEAKER_00: Her relationships often shift.
• 24:54
SPEAKER_00: Not because she has become cold, but because the dynamic itself changes.
• 25:00
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women unconsciously fear becoming fully themselves because some part of them understands certain people only loved the version of me that abandoned herself.
• 25:15
SPEAKER_00: Although it's a very true realization, it's also an incredibly painful one.
• 25:22
  SPEAKER_00: But I also think it's clarifying.
• 25:25
SPEAKER_00: I think it's freeing in some way when you shift your mentality a little bit to I'm losing something, to I'm getting rid of something that was never in alignment with my life in the first place.
• 25:40
SPEAKER_00: Because love that requires chronic self-erasure is not sustainable love.
• 25:46
  SPEAKER_00: It is adaptation-based attachment.
• 25:50
SPEAKER_00: And I think this goes far beyond romantic relationships.
• 25:55
SPEAKER_00: Many women realize that the success they pursued does not actually nourish them.
• 26:02
SPEAKER_00: The identity they carefully built no longer feels true.
• 26:06
SPEAKER_00: The role that they played in their family is exhausting.
• 26:10
SPEAKER_00: And the version of themselves that received approval was never fully authentic.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_00: And this can create a profound identity crisis because human beings naturally seek stability and coherence.
• 26:29
SPEAKER_00: So when old identities begin dissolving, it can feel psychologically disorienting, even when change is healthy.
• 26:39
SPEAKER_00: I think the key is just not staying there.
• 26:43
SPEAKER_00: It's important to acknowledge what isn't working, what your body, your mind, your heart has been saying for a long time, and realizing that things aren't instantly going to change, they're not instantly going to become easier.
• 27:00
SPEAKER_00: But it's also not a phase of failure.
• 27:07
SPEAKER_00: And I think many people, many women mistake this phase for failure.
• 27:13
SPEAKER_00: But often it's just restructuring.
• 27:17
SPEAKER_00: The psyche reorganizes itself around truth instead of survival adaptation.
• 27:24
SPEAKER_00: And when you realize that there is going to be a cost, but you don't have to stay in this space forever.
• 27:33
SPEAKER_00: You can continue to move through phase by phase, then that loss becomes you simply just hold it differently.
• 27:45
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it becomes easier.
• 27:47
SPEAKER_00: It didn't feel easy from my perspective, but you hold it a little differently.
• 27:54
SPEAKER_00: Now, this stage can feel lonely because not everyone in your sphere benefits from your integration.
• 28:05
SPEAKER_00: Some people prefer the version of you that had no boundaries.
• 28:10
SPEAKER_00: Some people felt safer when you were disconnected from your power, your instincts, your anger, your discernment, or your emotional truth.
• 28:20
SPEAKER_00: And reclaiming yourself often disrupts those dynamics.
• 28:25
SPEAKER_00: I also think that there is grief in realizing how long you abandoned yourself just to survive, just to fit in.
• 28:33
SPEAKER_00: So there is grief for years spent performing, desires that were suppressed, instincts that were ignored, emotional truths that were minimized, creativity that has been abandoned, and exhaustion that has been normalized.
• 28:51
SPEAKER_00: But I also think that this is where genuine sovereignty begins.
• 28:56
SPEAKER_00: Not performative independence, not emotional isolation, but real sovereignty.
• 29:03
SPEAKER_00: The ability to remain connected to yourself even when external validation changes.
• 29:11
SPEAKER_00: The ability to make decisions that preserve psychological coherence instead of social approval.
• 29:19
SPEAKER_00: And I think one of the most surprising things about reclaiming yourself is that often life often becomes quieter, less proving, less performing, less scrambling for validation because so much energy was previously being consumed, maintaining contradiction.
• 29:41
SPEAKER_00: And eventually, many women reach a threshold where they realize losing themselves slowly is more painful than losing what was no longer aligned.
• 29:53
SPEAKER_00: And I think that that is often the turning point.
• 29:56
SPEAKER_00: The moment a woman finally understands that the cost of performance has become heavier than the cost of her truth.
• 30:10
SPEAKER_00: Lastly, we're going to look at what happens when a woman finally stops abandoning herself.
• 30:17
SPEAKER_00: One of the most surprising things about returning to yourself is that it often feels much quieter than you expect, right?
• 30:26
SPEAKER_00: Not dramatic, not performative, not some massive reinvention overnight.
• 30:32
SPEAKER_00: It often feels like relief, like something inside you finally exhales.
• 30:38
SPEAKER_00: Because when a woman stops abandoning herself, she is no longer spending enormous amounts of psychological energy maintaining that contradiction.
• 30:49
SPEAKER_00: Trying to be someone she is not is exhausting.
• 30:53
SPEAKER_00: Trying to suppress her instincts is exhausting.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_00: Trying to remain emotionally acceptable to everyone around her is exhausting.
• 31:03
SPEAKER_00: Trying to force herself into identities, relationships, careers, or environments that fundamentally oppose her nature is exhausting.
• 31:15
SPEAKER_00: And when that internal war begins quieting, many women experience a kind of steadiness returning.
• 31:23
SPEAKER_00: Not perfect peace, but coherence.
• 31:26
SPEAKER_00: And I think one of the first things that begins returning is clarity.
• 31:31
SPEAKER_00: A woman starts realizing what genuinely matters to her, what drains her, what environments dysregulate her, what relationships require her performance, what kind of intimacy actually feels safe, and what her body has been trying to communicate for years.
• 31:52
SPEAKER_00: And for many women, this clarity feels almost shocking because she has spent so long orienting herself around external expectations that she lost touch with her own internal signals.
• 32:08
SPEAKER_00: So when those signals begin returning, there can be kind of an emotional awakening, maybe reawakening.
• 32:17
SPEAKER_00: Desire returns, creativity returns, discernment returns, joy returns, grief and instinct return.
• 32:28
SPEAKER_00: And I think that this is important because healing is not becoming emotionally numb or less positive.
• 32:36
SPEAKER_00: Real healing restores emotional range.
• 32:41
SPEAKER_00: A woman becomes more alive, not less.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_00: And I think many people also become quieter when they stop abandoning themselves.
• 32:53
  SPEAKER_00: Not smaller, just quieter.
• 32:56
SPEAKER_00: A woman stops overexplaining herself.
• 32:59
SPEAKER_00: She stops shape shifting constantly.
• 33:02
  SPEAKER_00: She stops performing approval.
• 33:05
SPEAKER_00: She stops trying to convince everyone to understand her.
• 33:10
SPEAKER_00: Because when a woman becomes more internally coherent, she no longer needs as much external validation to stabilize her identity.
• 33:20
SPEAKER_00: And I think that this changes her relationships profoundly.
• 33:26
SPEAKER_00: Women often become more discerning about what actually feels nourishing, reciprocal, emotionally safe, and psychologically coherent.
• 33:37
SPEAKER_00: Because once she starts reconnecting to herself, she can no longer tolerate relationships that require chronic self-erasure.
• 33:47
SPEAKER_00: And I think that this is where many women experience genuine intimacy for the first time.
• 33:54
SPEAKER_00: Not connection built on performance, not attachment built on survival adaptation, but relationships where she can actually exist as herself.
• 34:09
SPEAKER_00: Without constantly managing, minimizing, or performing.
• 34:15
SPEAKER_00: And I think another thing that happens is that a woman also becomes less reactive, not emotionless and not detached, but simply steadier.
• 34:27
SPEAKER_00: Because when a person is deeply connected, disconnected from themselves, external approval becomes psychologically necessary.
• 34:39
SPEAKER_00: Every rejection feels destabilizing, every criticism feels identity threatening.
• 34:45
SPEAKER_00: But when someone becomes rooted internally, they stop collapsing every time the external world shifts.
• 34:54
SPEAKER_00: And I think that this is one of the most beautiful things about this process.
• 35:00
SPEAKER_00: And that is that many women begin rediscovering their aliveness.
• 35:06
SPEAKER_00: Not endless excitement, not constant stimulation, but aliveness, the ability to feel beauty again, rest without guilt, trust intuition, enjoy silence, create from truth, and experience emotional pressure, uh emotional presence, excuse me, inside their own life.
• 35:30
SPEAKER_00: And I think many women underestimate how profound the shift really is.
• 35:36
SPEAKER_00: Because a woman can spend years functioning while feeling internally absent.
• 35:42
SPEAKER_00: And then slowly, quietly, she begins returning to herself.
• 35:47
SPEAKER_00: Not becoming someone new, but finally stopping the lifelong habit of abandoning who she already is.
• 35:58
SPEAKER_00: And I think that that is the real transformation.
• 36:02
SPEAKER_00: Not perfection, not becoming endlessly healed, but creating a life where the inner self and the outer life are no longer in constant conflict.
• 36:15
SPEAKER_00: Because ultimately, I don't think women begin healing by becoming more performative.
• 36:22
SPEAKER_00: I think many women heal when they finally feel safe enough to become real.
• 36:31
SPEAKER_00: So to conclude today's episode, I think many women spend years trying to heal systems and symptoms while remaining loyal to the identities, the relationships, the environments, and the systems that created the fragmentation in the first place.
• 36:51
SPEAKER_00: They try to optimize and optimize the exhaustion, push through the burnout, manage the anxiety, and perform healing while remaining deeply disconnected from themselves.
• 37:04
  SPEAKER_00: And I understand why.
• 37:06
SPEAKER_00: Because adaptation often keeps women feeling safe.
• 37:13
SPEAKER_00: Many women learned very early that authenticity carried consequences.
• 37:18
SPEAKER_00: So they became who they needed to become in order to survive, belong, or remain loved.
• 37:25
SPEAKER_00: But eventually the nervous system begins asking a different question.
• 37:31
SPEAKER_00: How much longer can I live disconnected from myself?
• 37:35
SPEAKER_00: And I think that this is the threshold many women eventually reach.
• 37:40
SPEAKER_00: The realization that life looks successful externally, but no longer feels alive internally, that the performance has become exhausting, that the cost of constant self-abandonment has become too high.
• 38:01
SPEAKER_00: And I think healing often begins at this place.
• 38:04
SPEAKER_00: Not with becoming someone new, but with finally telling yourself the truth about what drains you, what deadens you, what no longer fits, what parts of yourself you abandoned in order to remain acceptable.
• 38:19
SPEAKER_00: Because ultimately I don't think most people, most women, are searching for perfection.
• 38:25
SPEAKER_00: I think that's just the cultural lens, the cultural identity we've taken on.
• 38:33
SPEAKER_00: I think that women are searching for coherence, for a life where the inner self and the outer life are no longer in constant conflict, a life where the nervous system can finally exhale, a life that no longer requires chronic self erasure in order to function.
• 38:54
SPEAKER_00: Because there is a psychological cost to living against your own feminine nature.
• 39:00
SPEAKER_00: But there is also profound healing in finally returning to yourself.
• 39:08
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for being here.
• 39:10
SPEAKER_00: Let whatever was useful settle in its own time.
• 39:14
SPEAKER_00: Clarity I have found tends to unfold naturally when we give it space.
• 39:20
SPEAKER_00: Until next time, stay rooted, stay sovereign, and stay true to your feminine path.
