- 0:06Speaker 1: and his podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simone show on wor Hey,
- 0:13Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:17Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Mike in Massachusetts. Mike,
- 0:20Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 0:22Speaker 3: I'm doing well.
- 0:24Speaker 4: My question has to do with the Christy Nome thing.
- 0:28Speaker 5: Isn't the real issue that the company that was hired to.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Make the commercials were like friends of Lewandowski and they
- 0:39Speaker 4: set up a company ten days before these millions of
- 0:42Speaker 4: dollars went to them.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Well, that's a separate issue. One is you shouldn't be
- 0:47Speaker 2: spending the money. Then the other thing is you send
- 0:50Speaker 2: set up a company that does the time buying for you,
- 0:53Speaker 2: bought places the ads, and you get ten percent of
- 0:57Speaker 2: the commission. That way, it's it's legal, it's it's kind
- 1:00Speaker 2: of sleazy. That's how Bernie Sanders became a multi millionaire.
- 1:04Speaker 2: You know, when you run for president, you buy a
- 1:06Speaker 2: couple hundred million dollars worth of TV commercials. And when
- 1:10Speaker 2: you buy TV commercials, you have to have an agency
- 1:12Speaker 2: that does the time buying for you, and they take
- 1:15Speaker 2: a fee. They like to take ten percent of the
- 1:17Speaker 2: buy because they know how to place the commercial strategically.
- 1:21Speaker 2: So they set up a company time buying agents. Instead
- 1:25Speaker 2: of using one of the time buying agencies, they set
- 1:26Speaker 2: up their own company run by his wife, and she
- 1:29Speaker 2: collected the commission off the two three hundred million dollar buys.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It came to like twenty thirty million. That's how Bernie
- 1:35Speaker 2: became so rich. It's totally legal. You can do it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Let's go to Phil and Long Island.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Phil.
- 1:40Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 1:42Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Hello, Mark, I want to talk about this weasel named
- 1:45Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:47Speaker 3: When asked by Broadway Joe Scarborough, he wasn't happy that
- 1:53Speaker 3: Iraq was being crushed. You know what this weasel said?
- 1:56Speaker 3: He said, well, what's going to happen three months from now?
- 2:00Speaker 3: My god, Mark, what's gonna happen ten years from now?
- 2:03Speaker 2: Well, the good news is that this awful Chuck Schumer
- 2:07Speaker 2: always wrong about everything. Remember he said Monday, once ice
- 2:10Speaker 2: goes to the airports, the lines will get longer. Everything
- 2:12Speaker 2: will be total chaos. Just the opposite happened. He's a
- 2:15Speaker 2: desperate old man. He's a Willie Lohman old death of
- 2:18Speaker 2: a salesman, desperate guy at the end of his career,
- 2:21Speaker 2: trying to hang on, trying to look relevant. Hasn't got
- 2:24Speaker 2: a clue how to do it. It's not working. Speaking
- 2:27Speaker 2: of Joe Scarborough, Morning, Joe, a big announcement. They signed
- 2:30Speaker 2: a new three year contract. They're all excited, a new
- 2:32Speaker 2: three year contract. Instead of four hours, it'll be a
- 2:35Speaker 2: three hour show. They forgot to mention they're getting less
- 2:38Speaker 2: money under this new contract. But that's okay. You can
- 2:41Speaker 2: leave out certain details. Let's go to Robert in New Jersey. Robert,
- 2:45Speaker 2: how you doing, Robert?
- 2:51Speaker 4: Robert?
- 2:51Speaker 5: Yes, yes, go Robe. Well might also run for president
- 2:56Speaker 5: in twenty twenty eight. Who curtis you think he will
- 3:01Speaker 5: run for president two in twenty twenty eight?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. He's right outside out of the
- 3:05Speaker 2: hall there. You want me to ask him? Sure, Nah,
- 3:09Speaker 2: he's not gonna run. Oh, actually I did ask him.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I forgot I did ask him.
- 3:12Speaker 5: He will run.
- 3:13Speaker 2: No, he's not running even for mayor. His wife will
- 3:15Speaker 2: not allow him to run again.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Well, who do you think will run for president in
- 3:19Speaker 5: twenty twenty eight?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Everybody who's going to win? Well, you know, people like
- 3:25Speaker 2: to make that it's gonna be Rubio Now, it's gonna
- 3:26Speaker 2: be Advance. You can't make that prediction. It's like try
- 3:30Speaker 2: to predict right now who's going to win the twenty
- 3:32Speaker 2: twenty eight Super Bowl. You can't do it. It's impossible.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It's too far into the future. Let's go to Bernie
- 3:39Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Bernie, how you doing great?
- 3:42Speaker 6: Mark? Carry you good? I just want to mention I'm
- 3:46Speaker 6: a little bit missed by this situation with Loyola and
- 3:49Speaker 6: the Laurel Phoenix newspaper. I'm looking at it online right now,
- 3:54Speaker 6: and in the article towards the towards the end, it says,
- 3:58Speaker 6: I quote, according to Pee Report, Medina is a venous
- 4:02Speaker 6: Suilian immigrant that has been living in the country illegally,
- 4:07Speaker 6: according to Pressureley. So if they issued an apology, why
- 4:11Speaker 6: is this still up on their website?
- 4:13Speaker 7: Wow?
- 4:13Speaker 2: Newspaper, who knows? They forgot to change the website. They
- 4:16Speaker 2: put it out again, but they forgot to change it.
- 4:18Speaker 2: It's a crazy, crazy, ridiculous. These college newspapers, these colleges,
- 4:23Speaker 2: they're all just ridiculous. Let's go to Steve in Bergen County. Steve,
- 4:27Speaker 2: how you doing all right?
- 4:29Speaker 3: Mark?
- 4:29Speaker 2: How's it going good?
- 4:32Speaker 7: Mark? I want to just bring up this whole thing
- 4:34Speaker 7: about this TSA situation and unnecessary bureaucracy that was created
- 4:40Speaker 7: sadly after nine to one one with some fake necessity
- 4:43Speaker 7: to have government employees doing the actual security screening at
- 4:47Speaker 7: the airports. I actually did that exact job as a
- 4:50Speaker 7: sixteen year old at Lax Airport. I work for Security
- 4:53Speaker 7: seventy six. I'm a retired federal employee. Know all about
- 4:57Speaker 7: the way they're trained and everything else. Percent of what
- 5:00Speaker 7: they learn is OJT. They should be contracted out.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree with you. You know there are
- 5:05Speaker 2: twenty two airports right now in America that don't use
- 5:08Speaker 2: these TSA guys. They use private security companies. Twenty two
- 5:11Speaker 2: airports and they're fine. They weren't affected by the shutdown.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Didn't have any effect on me. You're right, More and
- 5:16Speaker 2: more and more should use private contractors. Let's go to
- 5:19Speaker 2: a is A gup in Denville, New Jersey.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark, Yes, taking my call. Hey, I want
- 5:26Speaker 1: to preface my point with I think it's very impressive
- 5:29Speaker 1: that your screener doesn't even ask what we want to
- 5:31Speaker 1: talk about.
- 5:32Speaker 2: We don't care.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Hey, I don't think this is rocket science an idea
- 5:39Speaker 1: for your buddy Ed Rollins or Republican campaigns in general.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know these vemituous court rulings and all these sanctuary
- 5:47Speaker 1: cities that open the violence. Why don't they just come
- 5:50Speaker 1: up with the slogan and use it and educate the
- 5:54Speaker 1: low information voters. Hey, Democrats own this. Oh you're right.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know, listen, the messaging has been terrible on behalf
- 6:03Speaker 2: of Republicans. That's why they love Democrats love keeping this
- 6:06Speaker 2: shutdown going. They think it's hurting Republicans and they may
- 6:09Speaker 2: not be wrong. Republicans have not gotten out in front
- 6:12Speaker 2: of public relations wise on this. Hey, when we come
- 6:14Speaker 2: back the Great Jimmy Fayla, very funny, great show every
- 6:18Speaker 2: night at nine. We'll talk to him next on seven
- 6:20Speaker 2: to ten. Wor
