- 1:11Speaker 2: It's a podcast call twenty five whist stocking football and
- 1:16Speaker 2: they are will whistle yet it's too bad, But what
- 1:19Speaker 2: did you expect?
- 1:20Speaker 3: It's a podcast call twenty five Whistles.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Twenty wine Window, Eddie Bowl, thew whistle. All right, I
- 1:28Speaker 1: want to go to my thoughts. By the way, I
- 1:29Speaker 1: wouldn't have an episode yesterday, it's today. I've been pretty sick,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but that's all. I feel good now. I don't even
- 1:34Speaker 1: feel good now, but I feel better. Yeah. So I'd
- 1:38Speaker 1: like to first start with I was an idiot. I've
- 1:41Speaker 1: got two things that I've been an idiot about and
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'd like to go ahead and express that. I also
- 1:47Speaker 1: acknowledge I've been an idiot. I've been wrong about this,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and I'm gonna follow it with I've been a genius.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Oh, okay, okay, I've.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Been an idiot. The Pittsburgh Steelers they're eight and two.
- 1:59Speaker 1: They didn't score touchdown, yeah, all field goals, but they
- 2:03Speaker 1: just keep winning and they want a big game I mean,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Russe Wilson do a terrible interception of the game. They
- 2:08Speaker 1: still managed to Justin Fields made it the dummiest play.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Not that I wouldn't have made the same play at
- 2:14Speaker 1: the end when they put Justin Fields in to just
- 2:17Speaker 1: run the clock out, so they ran like a quarterback
- 2:19Speaker 1: power or draw a sweep to the left. He runs around, slides,
- 2:23Speaker 1: gets the first down. The should run the clock out.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He even gets up and does the first down. The
- 2:27Speaker 1: problem is when you slide, it's where you start sliding,
- 2:30Speaker 1: so it wasn't a first down. They ended up winning
- 2:33Speaker 1: that game, even though they did not score a single touchdown,
- 2:39Speaker 1: even though Russell Wilson played okay. At times it was
- 2:44Speaker 1: pretty good, but at times bad. That pick was really bad,
- 2:47Speaker 1: really bad. And then that Justin Fields. I just have
- 2:53Speaker 1: to it. Eight and two. A wise man once said,
- 2:55Speaker 1: you are what your record is. And they're eight and
- 2:58Speaker 1: two and they're leading the division and they'll I win
- 3:00Speaker 1: the division.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It's crazy because it's all year long. I've been like, well,
- 3:03Speaker 1: they're not going to win the division, so for sure
- 3:06Speaker 1: Cincinnati or Balton whomever. Yeah, yeah, and then they go
- 3:10Speaker 1: on to beat Baltimore, so defense, Yeah, it's it's really
- 3:14Speaker 1: good and Russ is actually a decent quarterback. And I
- 3:19Speaker 1: guess it just goes to show again, which we've learned
- 3:21Speaker 1: through the years, as long as one part of your
- 3:24Speaker 1: team is extremely dynamic, if the other part is pretty good,
- 3:29Speaker 1: you're fine. Because if there's an offense that's freaking fantastic
- 3:34Speaker 1: and the defense is pretty good, that team wins games.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And that's what's happening with the Steelers. They're eight and
- 3:40Speaker 1: freaking two. It's crazy. I was an idiot for not
- 3:45Speaker 1: giving them the credit that they deserve. I said, there's
- 3:47Speaker 1: no chance.
- 3:48Speaker 2: No way. You weren't alone though, dude, I know, but.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I was very I was very steadfast in my belief
- 3:56Speaker 1: very I'm supposed to be outspoken here, even if I don't.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm like, oh, the kind of believe it. I'm
- 4:00Speaker 1: still like, I believe that, but I believe this. There
- 4:02Speaker 1: was no way they didn't have a quarterback. They had
- 4:04Speaker 1: two quarterbacks.
- 4:04Speaker 4: And to your point, I've always been with tomlin Ah, Yeah,
- 4:07Speaker 4: the whole over five hundred, his whole career, basically whatever
- 4:10Speaker 4: whatever overrated, and this year I'm like, all right, I
- 4:12Speaker 4: give up. He's proved it.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, this is it and t J. Watt is freaking amazing.
- 4:19Speaker 1: We always knew he was good because we would see
- 4:20Speaker 1: how good with the games they would win when he
- 4:22Speaker 1: played versus not. However, like he's the guy there, and
- 4:29Speaker 1: so since he's the guy, the biggest name, they focus
- 4:32Speaker 1: on him a lot more and it's healthy. It's crazy
- 4:34Speaker 1: to watch. Okay, so the steel I'm an idiot. The
- 4:37Speaker 1: Steelers are good, but again, they didn't even score a
- 4:39Speaker 1: single touchdown. They didn't have to. Also, it's gonna be
- 4:44Speaker 1: tough for me to say. It's a tough question for
- 4:46Speaker 1: me to ask. Is Justin Tucker washed?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Oh?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Is he hurt? This is not a Justin He's a
- 4:54Speaker 1: below average kicker this year, and he I think is
- 4:57Speaker 1: the greatest kicker of all time. I don't think he's
- 4:59Speaker 1: the goodest clutch kicker all time because he hasn't had
- 5:01Speaker 1: the opportunities that you boy vinitary had, right like he
- 5:03Speaker 1: made the biggest kicks. But I think Justin Tucker is
- 5:06Speaker 1: the best kicker of all time.
- 5:07Speaker 2: He didn't miss he never missed.
- 5:09Speaker 4: He's the most accurate of all time.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Not anymore.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Dang this weekend he fell.
- 5:13Speaker 1: He's like a point below. Maybe you have to look
- 5:18Speaker 1: it up, maybe like Eddie Pinera whatever his name is,
- 5:21Speaker 1: And I don't even know if that's I don't even
- 5:22Speaker 1: know if that's him, but I think he fell for
- 5:25Speaker 1: the first time to where he's now second. And I
- 5:27Speaker 1: like Justin Tucker for a couple of reasons. One he
- 5:29Speaker 1: used to message me and listen to the show.
- 5:31Speaker 2: That's cool, Yeah, awesome.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I mean that's why like Texas, Yeah, that's why he's
- 5:35Speaker 1: like Baker till Baker wouldn't talk to me. And you're right,
- 5:38Speaker 1: it's Eddie Paniero.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Wow, I saw him drinking.
- 5:41Speaker 1: They thought you were him and you're Mexican.
- 5:46Speaker 2: It happens.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So Justin Tucker is now second. Gosh, overall, he's had
- 5:51Speaker 1: a bad year. Would you mind pulling up Justin Tucker's
- 5:54Speaker 1: status just for the year? Kevin. I get sad for
- 5:57Speaker 1: him because he's really good. And I wonder if it's
- 5:59Speaker 1: an inch or something, because there's no fall off, like
- 6:02Speaker 1: it's a big fall off.
- 6:04Speaker 2: But what about a mental game, Like, isn't it's such
- 6:06Speaker 2: a mental.
- 6:07Speaker 1: He's a kicker. That's like beat the mental thing for ever.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I know, but you were human, you know, like what
- 6:11Speaker 2: if something's happening in his personal life where it's just
- 6:13Speaker 2: like he cannot concentrate.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah, seventy three percent on the year, which is thirty
- 6:17Speaker 4: eighth in the NFL and extra points even just ninety
- 6:20Speaker 4: seven percent is twenty eighth.
- 6:22Speaker 1: The the personal thing is, I just would imagine over
- 6:25Speaker 1: his careers that other personal things happened too. It's never
- 6:27Speaker 1: shaken them so and you could absolutely be right. It
- 6:30Speaker 1: could be something massive, but it also could be like
- 6:33Speaker 1: an injury they don't want to disclose, like a small one. Yeah,
- 6:36Speaker 1: Or I would just if I were, you know, hardball,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'd be like, you know, and I got a shout
- 6:41Speaker 1: out justin Talker, he's got an injury's been battling all year.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I just say it, Yeah, now it's the time.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Because you can't. You're not pulling him.
- 6:47Speaker 4: No, you can't.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You can't. He's the greatest of all time. You don't
- 6:50Speaker 1: pull him. Uh So, Okay, Steelers, I'm an idiot. Chargers,
- 6:54Speaker 1: I'm an idiot, And think about the Chargers. They don't
- 6:58Speaker 1: only do anything awesome, but they are just consistent.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Like they've been winning and I didn't realize it.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, there's seven and three.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I know, that's crazy. I look at the record, like
- 7:09Speaker 2: they've won that many games.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they're seven and three and Herbert has had to
- 7:14Speaker 1: pass way less. A lot of that's because of hardball system.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It just Harball runs the ball a lot more. The Chargers,
- 7:21Speaker 1: they're a factor. That's crazy to me. They might make
- 7:25Speaker 1: the playoffs.
- 7:25Speaker 4: That game the other night they would have lost in
- 7:27Speaker 4: the last ten years. Yes, over and over, yes, and
- 7:30Speaker 4: they they actually won it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Even watching like the play do you see Herbert run
- 7:33Speaker 1: the Maybe it's two weeks ago. I'm getting blurred here
- 7:36Speaker 1: because I just it's NonStop football. Well, Herbert ran that
- 7:39Speaker 1: ball in was that last weeks ago?
- 7:42Speaker 4: Gets the Titans?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Did you ever watch the clip of them talking about
- 7:44Speaker 1: it beforehand? It went viral where they're talking about it
- 7:47Speaker 1: and Harball goes, uh, like, do your arm like you're
- 7:50Speaker 1: like a pass and so Herbert like this and he goes, Okay,
- 7:53Speaker 1: we're gonna run on it. And so but he knew
- 7:56Speaker 1: they were probably watching him, and Harball's like, hey, just
- 7:57Speaker 1: act like we're talking about passing, so they no way, Yeah, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 1: And it's so it's so funny and maybe nobody even
- 8:04Speaker 1: saw it, but it was. It's pretty because do a pass.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Do a pass like if like like do it and
- 8:09Speaker 1: he did, and he's like, okay, let's get it.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I do always like to play when I'm watching, like
- 8:13Speaker 2: you know, when they're they're gonna go for two or
- 8:14Speaker 2: are they gonna kick it? Like I like to look
- 8:16Speaker 2: at their mouths, But I can never tell what they've decided.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Usually I can tell by them holding up the number two.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Well yeah, well there's that to me is but that's
- 8:22Speaker 1: the only way I can tell. There's maybe I mean
- 8:26Speaker 1: more of a go for it or not or punt?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Got it?
- 8:29Speaker 2: You know, because yeah, you're right, they do hold up
- 8:31Speaker 2: the one of the two.
- 8:33Speaker 1: No, but I mean, listen, I don't know.
- 8:34Speaker 2: It's always trying to s like what are they going
- 8:36Speaker 2: to do? I can't tell.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I always feel like everybody cancels themselves out. And this
- 8:39Speaker 1: is more of a college thing because we did it
- 8:40Speaker 1: in high school football too. When the fourth quarter comes,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you hold up all four fingers to go fourth quarter.
- 8:44Speaker 1: We're not tired, Like that's the whole thing. Why everybody
- 8:46Speaker 1: holds up four fingers like this is our quarter. But
- 8:49Speaker 1: if everybody does it, then it's back to equal.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It's like no one's tired.
- 8:53Speaker 1: It's like at times, it's like if you and Hour,
- 8:54Speaker 1: what if we were praying for different the exact opposite things, Yes, yes,
- 8:59Speaker 1: or we're voting like in Curb Your Enthusiasm or Larry
- 9:01Speaker 1: David's like, hey, you voting for this person because again,
- 9:03Speaker 1: because I'm not, you just want to cancel the votes
- 9:05Speaker 1: and go home.
- 9:07Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So yeah, look at that. So I'm an idiot Steelers Chargers,
- 9:14Speaker 1: thank you, I'm a genius.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Here we go, Here we go.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm a genius where I was made fun of and
- 9:21Speaker 1: I was hitting DMS by our listeners of this show,
- 9:25Speaker 1: which we loosely call the Whistlers. He hasn't caught on yet,
- 9:28Speaker 1: but we don't loosely call him that.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't even know that.
- 9:30Speaker 1: They don't even really do it that much. But then
- 9:31Speaker 1: like three times, bon Knicks is awesome. Yeah, he's awesome,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and only because he's he's so awful or he's so awesome,
- 9:40Speaker 1: he just has no freaking fear.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I don't think he's awful.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Bones early in the year, he was terrible for sure,
- 9:46Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Like early I would be like
- 9:48Speaker 1: because I was big Boon Knicks. Before the season started,
- 9:52Speaker 1: I was like, this dude is going to go because
- 9:54Speaker 1: it's the only way he knows. And you would see
- 9:56Speaker 1: him through like seventy two interceptions one drive, he'd be like, woll,
- 9:58Speaker 1: how did that even happen. In the last two games,
- 10:01Speaker 1: he has six touchdowns, no interceptions. He had four touchdowns
- 10:04Speaker 1: last week, three hundred and seven yards. He's on it
- 10:07Speaker 1: right now. I think Sean Payton's a perfect coach for him.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I got my bow Nicks signed broncos helmet here.
- 10:13Speaker 2: That could be a two.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I bet bo next Rookie of the Year. Now. I
- 10:16Speaker 1: think there's an outside shot he can win Rookie of
- 10:18Speaker 1: the Year now. Jane Daniels has not been playing well.
- 10:21Speaker 2: He's not.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He's also I think had a rib. I know he
- 10:24Speaker 1: had an injury, but I think his ribs even the
- 10:27Speaker 1: last game because they've lost a couple in a row night. Yes, yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I even then. He didn't want to run. That's a
- 10:33Speaker 1: big part of his game. I think if Jane Daniels
- 10:37Speaker 1: doesn't get hurt, he runs away with it. Yeah, because
- 10:39Speaker 1: so dynamic. But Jane Daniels is not played and I
- 10:42Speaker 1: haven't looked at any stats I'm only going by watching
- 10:45Speaker 1: the ends of games and watching him play a bit.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Jane Daniels is not played well, but I think it's
- 10:50Speaker 1: been because he's been hurt. But that's part of it, right, ye.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Bo Nicks slinging got the dog in him.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Let me ask you this about bow. He's doing great,
- 11:00Speaker 4: but do you think he can take it to another
- 11:02Speaker 4: talking about like down the line next year, the year after.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Do you think he can keep getting better? That's that's
- 11:07Speaker 4: the only thing that scares me about him, is like
- 11:08Speaker 4: he's doing so good, but I think this might be
- 11:11Speaker 4: where he peaks.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I think Sean Payton wouldn't have drafted him so early
- 11:15Speaker 1: because that's his guy. Sean Payton went specifically to get
- 11:18Speaker 1: bo Nicks. I think if Sean Payton didn't see and
- 11:21Speaker 1: I'll do the easy comparison of Drew Brees, maybe not
- 11:25Speaker 1: exactly the same with the same skill set, but if
- 11:27Speaker 1: he didn't see somebody he thought he could. And also Jess.
- 11:30Speaker 1: My answer is just yes, because it's his rookie year
- 11:32Speaker 1: and the biggest growth, for the most part, happens between
- 11:34Speaker 1: year one and year two in every sport. Because you
- 11:37Speaker 1: go in you're kind of baptized by Oh my god,
- 11:38Speaker 1: we're playing more games. It's so much faster, it's physical,
- 11:42Speaker 1: the season's just longer, and then you get a break
- 11:46Speaker 1: for months to just kind of recalibrate. So yes, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: do think that he can be better, only based on
- 11:57Speaker 1: what a normal rookie does between year one and year two.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Even sitting a game out look at Anthony richardson now,
- 12:02Speaker 1: not that he's not gonna revert back. I also saw
- 12:05Speaker 1: that the Anthony Richard is younger than like five of
- 12:07Speaker 1: the starting quarterbacks in college right now. Younger.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I don't realize that.
- 12:11Speaker 1: M hold is he I think he's twelve.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Sounds like.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yesterday. I just saw and I meant to screenshot it,
- 12:19Speaker 1: but he's like they listed four or five or six
- 12:21Speaker 1: of the quarterbacks even some now and he's like, Anthony
- 12:23Speaker 1: Richard is still younger than all.
- 12:24Speaker 4: These guys twenty two.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Wow.
- 12:26Speaker 4: So those guys in the calls that are like twenty five.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Now that Dylan Gabriel I started just listing all of them,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and they're like, this guy's twenty two. And even if
- 12:35Speaker 1: you pull him now, like you got some guys that
- 12:37Speaker 1: are two and three years the head, they haven't been
- 12:38Speaker 1: the NFL yet, like, you can't give up so Bo
- 12:41Speaker 1: Nicks right now, I'm a genius because he's come on hard.
- 12:46Speaker 1: The Broncos might make the playoffs, they might get that
- 12:51Speaker 1: last spot. We'd have to I think. And finally, I'm
- 12:58Speaker 1: a genius and you guys aren't gonna like this. Oh
- 13:00Speaker 1: come on, Texas is not good. Oh I know that, Mike,
- 13:05Speaker 1: I know, buddy. Oh not good. Well that's one game
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'm I'm so glad you said that, because you have
- 13:11Speaker 1: walked me right to where I wanted to walk into. Now,
- 13:14Speaker 1: First of all, I did watch Texas. Texas beat Arkansas
- 13:17Speaker 1: and we're not good. Almost beat scored sixty on us.
- 13:21Speaker 1: We had a couple dumb fumbles, but Texas did not
- 13:23Speaker 1: dominate that game. There was no We're bigger, faster, stronger
- 13:28Speaker 1: than you. We just don't have I don't think our
- 13:31Speaker 1: current administration is going to be what Texas to the
- 13:33Speaker 1: next level. We played eleven o'clock game and played fair
- 13:36Speaker 1: against Texas. Fumbled at the end, yeah, and whatever close
- 13:39Speaker 1: is game? Close? Ish game? Yeah? Never really we covered.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Other than that fun Yeah, you did cover other than
- 13:46Speaker 2: that fumbled it. I think you could go home.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Man, that was so close, and I'm not going to
- 13:48Speaker 1: be the guy that goes. We almost want I don't
- 13:50Speaker 1: want to even talk about winning. But it's like Texas
- 13:52Speaker 1: did not outclass us in any way, and we don't
- 13:55Speaker 1: have a lot of class. We have some players, we're
- 13:57Speaker 1: not very disciplined. But I would like to go through
- 13:59Speaker 1: Texas schedule. Texas game one, Colorado State, what's Colorado says?
- 14:04Speaker 4: Record seven and three?
- 14:06Speaker 1: Okay? Not a quality opponent, Colorado State. They don't come
- 14:09Speaker 1: from a P four. The Rams, Colorado State they gotta yeah,
- 14:14Speaker 1: they gotta be maybe gotta be a ram. What okay?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Michigan five and five, Okay, no quality win there, uts
- 14:23Speaker 1: a five and five small conference, No quality win there.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Louisiana Monroe five and five, Dan, that's crazy, No quality
- 14:29Speaker 1: win there. Mississippi State two and eight, they're terrible. Gosh,
- 14:33Speaker 1: marks all be done by one hundred and Texas only
- 14:36Speaker 1: beat them thirty five thirteen and we literally been about
- 14:38Speaker 1: one hundred and ten points. No quality win there. Texas
- 14:41Speaker 1: and Oklahoma five and five. Oklahoma five and five, see
- 14:44Speaker 1: where you're going? Oklahoma? Not good. Texas and Georgia eight
- 14:49Speaker 1: and two, and what happened? They lost at home. They
- 14:52Speaker 1: lost Texas Vanderbilt.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Six and four, and this will.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Be their quality. That's a quality win, and they barely
- 15:02Speaker 1: be Vanderbilt. So so far we've got two quality wins
- 15:07Speaker 1: Florida five and five, Arkansas five and five.
- 15:14Speaker 2: There's a trend.
- 15:14Speaker 1: They haven't played anybody.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yeah, fifty one and forty seven.
- 15:17Speaker 1: That's the record of all the teams they've played. Interesting,
- 15:19Speaker 1: they've basically played a five hundred schedule, and they don't
- 15:25Speaker 1: look when they walk out of the tunnel, you're like dang.
- 15:29Speaker 1: When they play, you're not like dang. They have a
- 15:31Speaker 1: defensive tackle that's awesome. Yours is fine, and I'm sure
- 15:35Speaker 1: he's actually great and he'll be a good pro whatever.
- 15:39Speaker 2: My buddy Baron, he can pick off anyone.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Anytime they've played anybody, they've Georgia they got beat and
- 15:46Speaker 1: Vandy gave him a run, and ban Bandy got beat
- 15:49Speaker 1: last week by South Carolina.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Pretty yeah, pretty twenty eighty seven.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Mike, that's all I'm saying. Texas is not it?
- 15:57Speaker 1: All I hear is those are all wins. That's true.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Like it's like, okay, we're gonna pick it too. It's
- 16:02Speaker 1: like everybody, every team like their quality wins.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Look at the record, it's there.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Uh, we could do Georgia or Alabama or Tennessee. You
- 16:09Speaker 1: don't want to do that because it's like two different worlds. Well,
- 16:11Speaker 1: like Oregon, Oregon beat Ohio State, which is better than well,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I guess the Georgia went, but we could do Oregon.
- 16:16Speaker 1: But I'm talking SEC specifically. Texas is got They have
- 16:20Speaker 1: the worst schedule. It's not their fault that they play
- 16:23Speaker 1: the worst schedule, but they don't have the schedule to go,
- 16:27Speaker 1: oh wow, they are good because any they've played nobody.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's like Indiana, they played nobody, They've won every game.
- 16:34Speaker 1: What are they five? Now? Four or five?
- 16:36Speaker 4: Indiana?
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and I love Indiana, but I'm not a believer.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I think Ohio State's probably gonna take them the woodshed,
- 16:43Speaker 1: but I want Indiana to win. Yeah, but I don't.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Texas is not good. You guys don't have to agree
- 16:50Speaker 1: with me. But the stats say what the stats say.
- 16:53Speaker 2: You watch them and you look like you're watching a
- 16:56Speaker 2: really good team. But you're right. I'm not thinking about
- 16:58Speaker 2: who they're playing. I just feel like they've got momentum,
- 17:02Speaker 2: and they do to me, look like a good team.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, because they look good at pads.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And when I watched the Arkansas UTA game, I thought
- 17:08Speaker 2: Texas game. I thought, you know what, Arkansas is playing them. Well,
- 17:12Speaker 2: that's what I thought. Not Arkansas is just being Arkansas
- 17:15Speaker 2: and Texas is not that good. I didn't think that
- 17:17Speaker 2: at all.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Texas beat the the Florida's third string quarterback. It's not
- 17:21Speaker 1: been all listen and unbiased. I'm anti Texas for sure.
- 17:26Speaker 1: This is not coming from a place where I have
- 17:27Speaker 1: no bias whatsoever. But Texas is not good. They're a
- 17:31Speaker 1: good team. They're a good team. They're not a great team.
- 17:35Speaker 1: They play in Tucky next week that you win that
- 17:37Speaker 1: they play A and M. A and m's a fine team.
- 17:39Speaker 2: They should win.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But that will be a quality game.
- 17:41Speaker 4: That's gonna be a big game. Just the rivalry back and.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Everything, you know, and not only that, It's like when
- 17:47Speaker 1: you look at Texas A and M just in general.
- 17:52Speaker 1: If Texas A and M, when's that they'll be like
- 17:53Speaker 1: every team with two losses, unless somebody kind of gets
- 17:56Speaker 1: messed up here in this next week, Like it's all
- 17:58Speaker 1: going to be a cluster at the top of the ice.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy. When I was growing up Texas A
- 18:02Speaker 2: and M. That game was like a huge rivalry game.
- 18:06Speaker 2: And then somewhere in the middle of Texas OU became
- 18:08Speaker 2: the rival and Texas A and M was just kind
- 18:11Speaker 2: of like, oh yeah, those guys have forgot about them.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I would argue that you, not being a Texas fan,
- 18:16Speaker 1: askewed the reality of that situation that Texas hates Oh you,
- 18:22Speaker 1: Texas is annoyed by Texas A and M, so they
- 18:24Speaker 1: don't like Texas A and M.
- 18:25Speaker 2: There we go. So they do seem like they were
- 18:27Speaker 2: annoyed by own.
- 18:27Speaker 1: A and M hates Texas way more than Texas AHSA
- 18:30Speaker 1: and M. But Texas hates A and M because they're
- 18:31Speaker 1: just annoying. Yeah, and Texas and Texas Texas, Texas and
- 18:34Speaker 1: O you hate each other. Like Texas's main number one
- 18:37Speaker 1: rival is OU. Their number two rival is Texas A
- 18:40Speaker 1: and M. Close regional. Sure, they're they're annoyed, but when
- 18:44Speaker 1: A and L went to the SEC, they're like, oh crap,
- 18:47Speaker 1: they went to the big boy League. They're making more
- 18:48Speaker 1: money than us now because of the SEC TV contract,
- 18:51Speaker 1: So they then follow A and M. I don't think
- 18:53Speaker 1: there was ever a shift because Texas and OU always
- 18:57Speaker 1: were that. That's to me. I think that's my favorite rivalry.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I know O, you and Michigan have onme, but I
- 19:02Speaker 1: didn't live around there.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I mean Thanksgiving was the Texas, Texas, A and M game.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Like that's how big it was when I was I mean,
- 19:09Speaker 2: this is when I was young too.
- 19:10Speaker 1: But I don't think there's any love loss. I don't
- 19:12Speaker 1: think there's any difference in those two except they don't
- 19:13Speaker 1: play anymore until now because they didn't play for years
- 19:16Speaker 1: because Texa and I went to the SEC and they
- 19:17Speaker 1: stopped playing. Yeah, so okay, we're gonna have Brandon Marcelo
- 19:20Speaker 1: on and just one second, but first the commercial, Yeah
- 19:25Speaker 1: you did it? Okay? Cool? I hate this because we lost.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I had Oregon minus fourteen they won, but Wisconsin Kevin
- 19:33Speaker 1: had Selticon Matrol. Missouri Kevin lost that one. The only
- 19:35Speaker 1: person that were like, are you sure? It was Eddie.
- 19:38Speaker 1: That's how this goes. You can't do it, I'm telling you.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I'm telling you Northwestern has not let me down as
- 19:42Speaker 2: far as covering spread.
- 19:44Speaker 1: That's true, but it's hard to yell. I'm telling you.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Whenever there's a lot of misses there.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I was puckered a little bit there too, because.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Yeah, when they scored fourteen, like, well, not even.
- 19:52Speaker 1: About this game. I was like, I'm just in general,
- 19:54Speaker 1: none of us can really be like I'm telling you, yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I missed so many.
- 19:57Speaker 2: This season for some reason. Those Northwest Eastern Wildcats are
- 20:01Speaker 2: like just coming through for me. We didn't hit anyway, No,
- 20:04Speaker 2: accept this, yet.
- 20:05Speaker 1: We didn't hit. Whenever you missed, do we celebrate the
- 20:10Speaker 1: other person? No, you're right, but see, you rarely hit,
- 20:13Speaker 1: so when you do, so that's why you can't yell.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I'm telling it's so hard not to though. Okay, so
- 20:18Speaker 1: that's that we suck.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Uh.
- 20:20Speaker 1: There is pick six, though, which is awesome. This is

- 20:42Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I would do George Pickens more or less times? I go,
- 20:44Speaker 1: huh he caught that either crazy or he dustn't the
- 20:47Speaker 1: wild or he walks off. Just George Pickens's nuts. I
- 20:50Speaker 1: love it more seven, more or less. I'm gonna go more.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Russell Wilson more or less than one seventy five passing.
- 20:56Speaker 1: That's crazy. That's his number because they play so much defense.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I don't know if i'd even do that one.
- 21:02Speaker 2: One seive and it's over, huh.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if I wouldn't pick
- 21:07Speaker 1: that one, because you can do any of them. Nick
- 21:09Speaker 1: Chubb more or less than fifty nine total yards. Look
- 21:11Speaker 1: at Nick Chubb back in it now.
- 21:12Speaker 4: No, that's that guy.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go more. Download the

- 22:04Speaker 1: on Twitter at b Marcelo or Instagram at Brandonmarcelo and
- 22:08Speaker 1: check out twenty four seven sports dot com. Here he
- 22:10Speaker 1: is Brandonmarcelo. Hey Brandon, I was talking earlier about Texas,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and I'm not going to tell you what I said
- 22:15Speaker 1: about Texas, but I just want to general, just some
- 22:19Speaker 1: general feedback about the Texas Longhorns football team and how
- 22:24Speaker 1: good you think they are. Thank you.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I think they're the most boring great team in America
- 22:30Speaker 3: right now. They just have more talent than almost everybody
- 22:34Speaker 3: else that they face, which is good enough to win games.
- 22:38Speaker 3: But they're the type of team that can either decide
- 22:41Speaker 3: to play with their food or devour it, and they've
- 22:44Speaker 3: decided to just mostly play with it. And you know,
- 22:47Speaker 3: I saw them in person this past weekend, and you know,
- 22:51Speaker 3: they were most definitely the better team than Arkansas, But
- 22:55Speaker 3: then you watch them and they're just kind of playing
- 22:57Speaker 3: around a little bit. The offense isn't necessarily as aggressive
- 23:01Speaker 3: as you want it to be with its play calling
- 23:03Speaker 3: or not attacking down the field, but their defense is
- 23:06Speaker 3: elite and that kind of holds opponents down. But then
- 23:08Speaker 3: all of a sudden in that game, Arkansas gets back
- 23:10Speaker 3: within a field goal and they're in trouble, and then
- 23:14Speaker 3: they respond and get a touchdown the way they need
- 23:16Speaker 3: to from Quinn years and co. But you can't play
- 23:20Speaker 3: that way in a playoff, just kind of resting on
- 23:23Speaker 3: your laurels and think you can win a championship that way.
- 23:26Speaker 3: And for that matter, I think that's kind of what
- 23:30Speaker 3: we saw against Georgia earlier this season, right. They end
- 23:32Speaker 3: up losing that game at home big time, their biggest
- 23:35Speaker 3: game of the year. They just they're a great team.
- 23:38Speaker 3: They have a lot of talent, but I'm not sure
- 23:39Speaker 3: that they're elite, you know, And with their schedule, they
- 23:44Speaker 3: just managed to kind of co spy and be a
- 23:46Speaker 3: top five team, and if they had played one or
- 23:48Speaker 3: two more Top twenty type teams, they might actually have
- 23:51Speaker 3: another loss on their schedule.
- 23:53Speaker 1: We went through the schedule and just looked at their
- 23:57Speaker 1: quality wins. Obviously, they did beat Vanderbilt, which Vanderbilt's a
- 24:01Speaker 1: little better than we thought they would be, and they
- 24:03Speaker 1: lost to Georgia, and so they it's not quite Indiana, ESK.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And I'll have you talk on Indiana next because they
- 24:09Speaker 1: really haven't played anybody. But to me, maybe they've played
- 24:14Speaker 1: such bad teams they haven't had to actually, you know,
- 24:17Speaker 1: iron sharpens iron, and so maybe they're just existing. They
- 24:21Speaker 1: haven't had to be pushed, so therefore they don't push.
- 24:23Speaker 5: I think there's something to that.
- 24:26Speaker 3: They'll be pushed in a couple of weeks against Texas
- 24:28Speaker 3: A and M when they go to College Station. That's
- 24:30Speaker 3: why I think that this team needs some sense of
- 24:32Speaker 3: urgency when they get on the road. I thought that
- 24:35Speaker 3: they would probably do that even this past week against
- 24:38Speaker 3: Arkansas because they were on the road in a rivalry
- 24:41Speaker 3: game and they got up to nothing. But it wasn't
- 24:43Speaker 3: like anything special. And it's not just me believes this.
- 24:47Speaker 3: I mean, I'm talking to a lot of people and
- 24:48Speaker 3: they're just going listen. Texas is just a really kind
- 24:51Speaker 3: of a boring team to watch, and during the game,
- 24:53Speaker 3: like everybody's only talking about, Hey, is arch maning going
- 24:57Speaker 3: to play? I mean, there's still some Texas fans even
- 24:59Speaker 3: out there to think that Quinn Ures shouldn't be the quarterback,
- 25:02Speaker 3: and I can see why because they're not throw allowing
- 25:05Speaker 3: him to throw deep all that often. He does seem
- 25:08Speaker 3: to give up on plays a little bit early when
- 25:10Speaker 3: the pocket collapses, which is a little concerning. And it
- 25:14Speaker 3: just if you're a team that wants to win a
- 25:17Speaker 3: championship and SEC title or playoff title, you need to
- 25:21Speaker 3: be playing better. You need to be playing to full
- 25:23Speaker 3: maximum speed at least some of the time, and they
- 25:26Speaker 3: just seem to be kind of coasting by and by
- 25:29Speaker 3: every week.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I do often preface it by going, I hate Texas.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Now I hate them because I respect them, because they
- 25:34Speaker 1: have more money than us. They've always been big brother.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I hate Texas. I do respect in fact, they have
- 25:38Speaker 1: their own color, Like that's kind of cool, although I
- 25:40Speaker 1: think red is a cooler color. But then I just
- 25:42Speaker 1: go on and go in and like, I think Texas
- 25:44Speaker 1: is just I think they're mediocre because they haven't had
- 25:46Speaker 1: to be better than that, and that's what we're talking about.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Before you came on, I did say I think their
- 25:50Speaker 1: players are all better and they look great when they
- 25:51Speaker 1: come out of the tunnel, but they just haven't really
- 25:53Speaker 1: had to do it, so they haven't done it. But
- 25:56Speaker 1: let's go to Indiana now, because I think it's interesting here.
- 25:59Speaker 1: They are in the top five and they have played
- 26:02Speaker 1: even less. So are we just waiting for the Ohio
- 26:05Speaker 1: State game?
- 26:05Speaker 3: They got their big payday for their coach, Kurt Signetty.
- 26:09Speaker 3: He got a big new contract worth eight million dollars
- 26:11Speaker 3: a year for the next eight years. And now that
- 26:14Speaker 3: they're preparing for Ohio State, actually that line opened up.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I think they're like eleven or twelve point underdogs on
- 26:20Speaker 3: the road and Vegas always knows right. And I think
- 26:23Speaker 3: that you see these the past couple weeks, you could
- 26:26Speaker 3: pinpoint that. Look at BYU Kansas's past week, Kansas was
- 26:30Speaker 3: only a three point underdog on the road at BYU.
- 26:33Speaker 3: They knew BYU is prying for an upset against Kansas,
- 26:35Speaker 3: and Kansas beat them. They're at BYU and in this game,
- 26:39Speaker 3: you got Indiana as like eleven or twelve point underdog
- 26:42Speaker 3: at Ohio State. They know what they see on film
- 26:45Speaker 3: and what they see on paper. Just the talent level
- 26:48Speaker 3: disparity there. But having said that, Indiana's offense has been
- 26:52Speaker 3: explosive pretty much against every team they've played. And I've
- 26:55Speaker 3: seen Ohio State play in person earlier this year against
- 26:58Speaker 3: Oregon and their suspect in the secondary, and that's a
- 27:02Speaker 3: good matchup for Indiana quarterback Curtis Rourke and his receivers,
- 27:05Speaker 3: including Elijah Sharat. He's one of the best receivers in
- 27:08Speaker 3: the country. This game is very interesting one for a
- 27:12Speaker 3: lot of reasons, playoff implications, Big Ten championship implications, But
- 27:16Speaker 3: I don't think enough people are giving Indiana credit for
- 27:18Speaker 3: what they've done this year. They've beaten every single team
- 27:21Speaker 3: on their schedule by fourteen points or more except for one,
- 27:24Speaker 3: and that was Michigan.
- 27:26Speaker 5: I think that this game is gonna be a little
- 27:28Speaker 5: bit closer than that.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Maybe Ohio State ends up winning by ten points, but
- 27:32Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be closer throughout the game there
- 27:35Speaker 3: until the end. And I'm just afraid that if Indiana
- 27:39Speaker 3: loses this game that the playoff committee is going to
- 27:42Speaker 3: severely punish them and drop them from the top five
- 27:45Speaker 3: all the way to outside the top twelve. And that's
- 27:47Speaker 3: not necessarily what they should do. You shouldn't punish them
- 27:51Speaker 3: for the schedule that they've played and then when they
- 27:52Speaker 3: finally play somebody op they lost, so we have to
- 27:55Speaker 3: drop them. Well, if that's the case, look at Georgia.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I mean, Georgia lost by double digits at Old Miss.
- 28:01Speaker 3: You didn't drop them very far. We got to be
- 28:04Speaker 3: kind of maintain a standard here moving forward. I think
- 28:07Speaker 3: just because they don't have that brand name that they're
- 28:10Speaker 3: being punished for it. I think if you put a
- 28:12Speaker 3: big M on their helmet for Michigan and they played
- 28:14Speaker 3: the same schedule and they were undefeated going into Ohio State,
- 28:17Speaker 3: they'd probably be number two in the country right now.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So then I would say that even if they lose,
- 28:25Speaker 1: the amount they lose by will be a big indicator
- 28:28Speaker 1: of what the committee does. I mean, a ten point
- 28:31Speaker 1: loss not that bad. A thirty point loss possibly, since
- 28:35Speaker 1: they've played no one else, I could understand and go, Okay,
- 28:40Speaker 1: that's justified that they do kick them out.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Your thoughts on that, Oh yeah, certainly if they get
- 28:45Speaker 3: blown out if they lose by more than two touchdowns,
- 28:48Speaker 3: even on the road, they're in the horseshoe. I think
- 28:50Speaker 3: you do need to drop them, maybe completely out of
- 28:53Speaker 3: the picture there, even with the quote unquote one loss
- 28:55Speaker 3: and be behind several two loss teams.
- 28:58Speaker 5: So I don't think there's any doubt about that.
- 29:00Speaker 3: My question is is, like, do they drop them, say
- 29:04Speaker 3: like seven or eight spots just for losing by a
- 29:06Speaker 3: touchdown or by ten points. That would be the incorrect
- 29:09Speaker 3: thing to do because based off the past, they haven't
- 29:13Speaker 3: done that to other teams, but they've been treating Indiana differently.
- 29:16Speaker 3: In these last two Playoff Committee rankings, they had them
- 29:20Speaker 3: below some teams they should not be below, including that were
- 29:22Speaker 3: below teams that were in the eight people below them.
- 29:25Speaker 5: So I have questions.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I think that they kind of pinpointed Indiana as their
- 29:30Speaker 3: sacrificial lamb this week that if they end up losing
- 29:33Speaker 3: even by a tad bit, they're going to drop them steeply.
- 29:37Speaker 1: So Signetti signed the deal for eight years, but we
- 29:41Speaker 1: know the nature of the beast. Do you think if
- 29:44Speaker 1: LSU ends up moving on not this season. I don't
- 29:47Speaker 1: think they're going to move on this season, but that
- 29:49Speaker 1: Signetti could end up at a place like an LSU, because, yeah,
- 29:52Speaker 1: your deal really doesn't mean anything except for him, it's
- 29:55Speaker 1: a little bit of stability. Do you think he's a
- 29:57Speaker 1: guy that still would like to move to one of
- 29:58Speaker 1: these major blue bloodish type programs.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:01Speaker 3: I think a lot of coaches out there say that
- 30:03Speaker 3: I'm happy where I'm at. I haven't really thought about
- 30:05Speaker 3: ever leaving. But that's the case. But then when they're
- 30:08Speaker 3: presented the opportunity, actually their agent approaches them and gives
- 30:11Speaker 3: them a reality of what life could be like, that
- 30:14Speaker 3: changes everything. A lot of coaches just live in a
- 30:17Speaker 3: literally live in a bubble, and until someone comes up
- 30:19Speaker 3: and pops it and walks in there and shows them something,
- 30:22Speaker 3: they're not really aware of what else life could be like.
- 30:26Speaker 3: So it depends really one on what kind of challenge
- 30:30Speaker 3: you want next in a year or two. Secondly, is
- 30:33Speaker 3: he still winning at Indiana? And then third what's his
- 30:36Speaker 3: new buyout? We haven't gotten the new numbers for his
- 30:38Speaker 3: buyout right now. And listen, Bobby, we're in an era
- 30:42Speaker 3: now where a lot of universities are hesitant to fire
- 30:47Speaker 3: coaches because they're afraid of paying the large buyout, and
- 30:51Speaker 3: why is that different from the past, Because revenue sharing
- 30:55Speaker 3: is coming up this fall. They're going to have to
- 30:56Speaker 3: spend twenty and a half million dollars each year on
- 31:00Speaker 3: players and to pay that in addition to a buyout
- 31:04Speaker 3: of twenty forty fifty sixty million dollars, it's a hefty
- 31:09Speaker 3: price tag and one that is very difficult to kind
- 31:11Speaker 3: of sell to your constituents, your boosters and everything, because
- 31:15Speaker 3: a lot of these ads are now going out, Hey,
- 31:17Speaker 3: I need you to the money you were giving me.
- 31:19Speaker 3: I either need you to give me more money, or
- 31:21Speaker 3: I need you to redirect the money you're giving actually
- 31:23Speaker 3: to the athletics department or to our nil situation to
- 31:26Speaker 3: help with this revenue sharing. It's become quite the load,
- 31:30Speaker 3: and it's why a lot of coaches out there who
- 31:32Speaker 3: may have been fired this year, including Billy Napier at Florida,
- 31:36Speaker 3: are safe going into this offseason.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Also, Napier has kind of instilled a bit of confidence
- 31:41Speaker 1: in me watching him now too, you know, who cares
- 31:44Speaker 1: about me and my confidence, But still like I you know,
- 31:47Speaker 1: and I've seen his radio four and seven or five
- 31:50Speaker 1: and five. He's had those general type seasons, but like
- 31:54Speaker 1: they've come on and they've with a third string quarterright,
- 31:56Speaker 1: they don't win that game, obviously they kid from Yale,
- 31:58Speaker 1: But I don't know, like I'm rooting for Billionapier, I'm
- 32:00Speaker 1: rooting for Alabama. I've never rooted for Alabama ever. But
- 32:03Speaker 1: the way that they acted like Dubois was like the
- 32:06Speaker 1: worst coach ever, and he was wearing a T shirt
- 32:08Speaker 1: and like, the guy is probably top two or three
- 32:12Speaker 1: coaches that exist on the planet now in college football,
- 32:15Speaker 1: and the Bama fans were acting like we just need
- 32:17Speaker 1: to move on, and that makes me root for him
- 32:19Speaker 1: for some weird reason. So, like, I'm big Alabama buyer
- 32:22Speaker 1: right now. If I had to pick a team, I
- 32:24Speaker 1: would pick Ohio State slash Alabama. But I'm gonna just
- 32:27Speaker 1: pick one Alabama because I'm a SEC homer. Who do
- 32:30Speaker 1: you right now? Who would you pick if you had to?
- 32:31Speaker 5: It's great question.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I'm on board with Ohio State, and I'm also on
- 32:36Speaker 3: board with Georgia at this point despite having two losses.
- 32:40Speaker 3: When they play well, they play extremely well. They played
- 32:43Speaker 3: better than anybody else in the country in my opinion,
- 32:46Speaker 3: and I thought this past week Carson Beck, who had
- 32:49Speaker 3: thrown more interceptions during a six game stretch in the
- 32:52Speaker 3: SEC than we have seen in several years. He really
- 32:56Speaker 3: bounced back against Tennessee this week, didn't throw a single interception,
- 33:00Speaker 3: and he gained some confidence. And why is that because
- 33:03Speaker 3: their offensive quarter of Mike Bobo, has finally decided to
- 33:06Speaker 3: scheme up some plays that would help them. They start
- 33:08Speaker 3: throwing to the tight end. They are loaded with tight ends,
- 33:11Speaker 3: and when you throw to the tight end, it's much
- 33:13Speaker 3: easier routes to throw to right in the middle of
- 33:15Speaker 3: the field, usually shorter stuff, and they've got the type
- 33:17Speaker 3: of tight ends they could do a lot after the catch,
- 33:19Speaker 3: so they did that. Ten of his completions were two
- 33:23Speaker 3: tight ends in that game, easy passes, and two of
- 33:26Speaker 3: them went for touchdowns. That gives Beck some confidence. It
- 33:29Speaker 3: also adds a different wrinkle to this offense, which had
- 33:32Speaker 3: been struggling throughout this year. But George's got all the
- 33:36Speaker 3: other pieces around him. They got a running back, they
- 33:38Speaker 3: got the offensive line, They definitely have the defense to
- 33:40Speaker 3: play for a championship, and Georgia's battle tested. They've been
- 33:44Speaker 3: on the road at Alabama, They've been on the road
- 33:46Speaker 3: at ol Miss, They've been on the road to Texas
- 33:49Speaker 3: and they beat Texas by double digits. I really like
- 33:51Speaker 3: Georgia at this point. I think they've got a little
- 33:53Speaker 3: bit more momentum going here into the latter part of
- 33:56Speaker 3: the regular season.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Deon Sanders coach of the Year?
- 34:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so most definitely he's up there. And
- 34:03Speaker 3: you know, if Kurch Signetti were to somehow beat Ohio
- 34:06Speaker 3: State this week, I think coach Signetti would definitely probably
- 34:09Speaker 3: be the coach of the year material there. But Deon Sanders,
- 34:12Speaker 3: what he's done in Colorado, not just like from last
- 34:15Speaker 3: year to this year, but in season has been incredible
- 34:18Speaker 3: to watch. Week one, I was there covering them and
- 34:21Speaker 3: their game against North Dakota State. They had a lot
- 34:24Speaker 3: of the same issues they had last year. The offensive
- 34:25Speaker 3: line couldn't block, the defensive line wasn't really getting the quarterback.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Creating havoc.
- 34:30Speaker 3: But they've literally have gotten better week to week and
- 34:33Speaker 3: you actually look at the strength of their team. Yes,
- 34:35Speaker 3: we want to talk about Shader Sanders and Travis Hunter
- 34:37Speaker 3: the best quarterback receiver combo in the country, but that
- 34:41Speaker 3: defensive line is one of the better ones in the
- 34:44Speaker 3: country right now. Just as far as havoc rate. This
- 34:47Speaker 3: past week against Utah, they forced three or four interceptions,
- 34:50Speaker 3: they had four sacks, they had a bunch of tackles
- 34:52Speaker 3: for loss, disruptive in the backfield, and Utah coach Kyle Whittingham,
- 34:56Speaker 3: who's been doing this forever in the industry, said that
- 35:00Speaker 3: that's the best team they've played all year. And by
- 35:02Speaker 3: the way, they just played in undefeated BYU the week
- 35:04Speaker 3: before that. Colorado has gotten better week to week, and
- 35:08Speaker 3: I know that's a cliche, but they legitimately have. That's
- 35:11Speaker 3: what been most oppressive to me about this team. It's
- 35:14Speaker 3: not necessarily just the record, but how they got there.
- 35:16Speaker 3: They're getting better every week and that's a great story
- 35:20Speaker 3: to see.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I have three final questions for you. I want to
- 35:23Speaker 1: go back to Ohio State for a second, and the
- 35:25Speaker 1: pressure on Ryan Day not just to make the playoff,
- 35:27Speaker 1: but to win the national championship. Let's say, you know,
- 35:31Speaker 1: they get to buy, which they'll get to buy. Let's
- 35:34Speaker 1: say they lose in the We'll call it the first round,
- 35:36Speaker 1: but it's actually the second round. Let's say they lose.
- 35:38Speaker 1: There is this job in jeopardy.
- 35:42Speaker 3: That's a very interesting question. I don't think so. It
- 35:45Speaker 3: also depends on the context of it. Are they losing
- 35:50Speaker 3: the Big Ten championship game and then also losing their
- 35:53Speaker 3: very first playoff game. That would be damning. I mean, heck,
- 35:58Speaker 3: you know, listen, I think we all assume they're going
- 36:00Speaker 3: to beat Michigan, and right now they're probably like four
- 36:02Speaker 3: touchdown favorites against Michigan in the final game of the
- 36:04Speaker 3: regular season. But goodness, could you imagine if he loses
- 36:07Speaker 3: to Michigan again. I think that would be enough to
- 36:10Speaker 3: potentially have him out the door. You know, the fans
- 36:14Speaker 3: there were livid even when they lost to Oregon earlier
- 36:17Speaker 3: this season, because the big knock on him was like,
- 36:21Speaker 3: you can beat everybody but Ohio State, and then you
- 36:23Speaker 3: lose to Oregon. Now the big thing is like, you
- 36:25Speaker 3: can't beat anybody in the top five unless it's like
- 36:28Speaker 3: Penn State, and that's it. You know, it's very high
- 36:32Speaker 3: expectations there. I think they're higher there than really anywhere
- 36:36Speaker 3: else in America this season on any coach and anything
- 36:39Speaker 3: less than getting to the National Championship Game. There is
- 36:43Speaker 3: a disappointment this season because of everything that did in
- 36:45Speaker 3: the offseason, the transfer portal hiring coaches. I mean, hell,
- 36:49Speaker 3: you went hired UCLA head coach Chip Kelly to call
- 36:52Speaker 3: plays for you, and if you fall short of reaching
- 36:55Speaker 3: the national championship game, it's a failure to them. If
- 36:58Speaker 3: you were to lose in the around, I'm not saying
- 37:02Speaker 3: there would be a change there.
- 37:03Speaker 1: But did he die or did he freeze?
- 37:06Speaker 2: Mike? Do you still see him on yours?
- 37:08Speaker 5: You can existing?
- 37:10Speaker 1: Okay, we'll do one more question here, Uh well, maybe
- 37:12Speaker 1: two more questions. Hey, Brandon, do you feel like and
- 37:14Speaker 1: I know you're gonna answer this in a humble way,
- 37:16Speaker 1: but do you feel like you're getting more famous? Because
- 37:19Speaker 1: I feel like you're just like in a lot of
- 37:20Speaker 1: places now, do people like recognize you more if you're
- 37:22Speaker 1: out out at games or are they like, oh, you're
- 37:25Speaker 1: Brandy Marcello.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Yeah, mostly in the SEC. I've been the SEC for
- 37:30Speaker 3: quite a while, so that helps as well. There was
- 37:33Speaker 3: this period of time there for about two or three
- 37:34Speaker 3: years where that wasn't necessarily the case because I used
- 37:36Speaker 3: to be much bigger, uh physically, and I lost a
- 37:39Speaker 3: lot of weight, so I became a little bit unrecognizable
- 37:41Speaker 3: to people. But yeah, most definitely, you know, I do
- 37:44Speaker 3: a lot more different types of hits with people, Radio, TV,
- 37:49Speaker 3: I'm doing a lot more TV work in fact, a
- 37:52Speaker 3: championship weekend, on SEC Championship weekend.
- 37:54Speaker 5: And all the other conference title games.
- 37:56Speaker 3: I want to be in studio all weekend at CBS
- 37:59Speaker 3: Sports do and stuff.
- 38:00Speaker 5: So I can't wait for that. And you know, it's
- 38:03Speaker 5: just a lot of fun.
- 38:04Speaker 3: I love talking football and I'm just open to any
- 38:07Speaker 3: opportunity that comes my way to kind of share my passion.
- 38:11Speaker 1: That's awesome that you're gonna go do the studio stuff. Congratulations,
- 38:14Speaker 1: That's that's massive, Like I'm proud for you. That's really cool.
- 38:16Speaker 5: Yeah, thanks man.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I'm just trying to decide if I should wear a
- 38:19Speaker 3: suit or just just be completely casual and and piss
- 38:22Speaker 3: everybody off in the studio.
- 38:23Speaker 1: You know, I often have that decision to make amongst myself.
- 38:27Speaker 1: And if I ever it's like going to a party
- 38:29Speaker 1: or like a gathering, not like I have a party
- 38:31Speaker 1: than the freaking biggest loser there is, but if it's
- 38:33Speaker 1: like we're having an event and it's like how should
- 38:35Speaker 1: I dress? If I don't know the people, I tend
- 38:38Speaker 1: to overdress a bit just to be safe, and then
- 38:40Speaker 1: once they know me, I will weigh underdress and just
- 38:43Speaker 1: DGAF and like show up and like, you know, a
- 38:45Speaker 1: T shirt, but I like to set the stage and
- 38:47Speaker 1: like I care. And then once you're like, oh this
- 38:49Speaker 1: guy cares, then it's like I do the artist thing too,
- 38:51Speaker 1: where I'm like, I'm an artist, I show up how
- 38:53Speaker 1: I am. But dude, I'm looking forward to watching you
- 38:55Speaker 1: on that. That's that is really really cool. Okay, Final question,
- 38:58Speaker 1: Final question, SMU, should they.
- 39:00Speaker 5: If they win the ACC Championship? I think so.
- 39:04Speaker 3: ACC's bordering on maybe being a two bid league, but
- 39:07Speaker 3: it most likely looks like one, but it could be
- 39:09Speaker 3: two still, And SMU, I think they just got to
- 39:12Speaker 3: win out the regular season. They can't afford another loss
- 39:16Speaker 3: against cal or Virginia because that's week week losses. So
- 39:19Speaker 3: if they went out, go to the ACC Championship game,
- 39:22Speaker 3: and if the team they play is Miami, I think
- 39:25Speaker 3: the cachet there is possible that even if SEMU loses
- 39:30Speaker 3: that game, they would make the playoff potentially. The thing
- 39:34Speaker 3: that's kind of holding SEMU back a little bit right now,
- 39:36Speaker 3: even standing where they're at undefeated the ACC, is that
- 39:39Speaker 3: they have one loss in non conference and that's against BYU,
- 39:43Speaker 3: and that team was a top five type team, but
- 39:45Speaker 3: they just lost this previous week, so that hits them
- 39:48Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 39:49Speaker 5: But I think if they just.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Win these next two games, get to the ACC Championship game,
- 39:53Speaker 3: and if they face Miami, even if they lose that game,
- 39:57Speaker 3: they have an opportunity to potentially get in. But it's
- 40:01Speaker 3: gonna be pretty slim. Their best chance, obviously is just
- 40:04Speaker 3: to win the ACC title and leave no doubt. But
- 40:06Speaker 3: SCMU has been.
- 40:07Speaker 5: An incredible story.
- 40:09Speaker 3: I think they've won seventeen in their last eighteen games.
- 40:12Speaker 3: It's an incredible thing. First team ever to transition from
- 40:16Speaker 3: the Group of five conference to a power conference and
- 40:20Speaker 3: start better than one to zero in conference, and here
- 40:23Speaker 3: they are undefeated in conference near the end of the season,
- 40:26Speaker 3: something we've never seen before in college football. Don't think
- 40:30Speaker 3: enough of people are talking about it. I've written about
- 40:32Speaker 3: it in the past, just a few weeks ago, and
- 40:34Speaker 3: more people start taking notice, obviously if they get to
- 40:36Speaker 3: the AEC championship game. But it's an incredible job. R
- 40:39Speaker 3: At Lashley's done down there.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I think notice because he's mister network now going to
- 40:42Speaker 1: show up in a suit now talking to us. Oh,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I probably got some like stocks to go trade as
- 40:47Speaker 1: soon as we get off here like a CEO to
- 40:49Speaker 1: talk to only crap Brandon, Thank you, love you dude,
- 40:52Speaker 1: and we'll see you next week. The NBA is back.

- 42:09Speaker 1: few things I want to mention. Number one, I'd like
- 42:12Speaker 1: to acknowledge Eddie, because I do know Eddie. You did
- 42:14Speaker 1: keep notes for games this weekend.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Oh man, it's a game changer. Game changer. I actually
- 42:18Speaker 2: remember games and I don't even think I have to
- 42:21Speaker 2: look back at my notes.
- 42:22Speaker 1: It's the fact that exactly it.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I didn't realize that.
- 42:25Speaker 1: But it's like school.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I never kept notes at school.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Because I would like keep notes of everything and rarely
- 42:29Speaker 1: would have to go back and look at him because
- 42:31Speaker 1: I remember because I was writing him down.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Because like I would watch the game and be like, ooh,
- 42:34Speaker 2: that's awesome. They carried him onto the end zone. That's
- 42:36Speaker 2: really cool. The running back and you have to run
- 42:38Speaker 2: who was that? And then write the name down?
- 42:40Speaker 1: Bring me a few notes, Yeah, so like I'll.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Do that one for example, that was the Broncos. It
- 42:45Speaker 2: was Williams. Williams is about the score. They're like, you know,
- 42:48Speaker 2: right four yards away from the end zone. He runs
- 42:51Speaker 2: the ball right down the middle and he's not gonna
- 42:53Speaker 2: make it. So his oh line just picks him up.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he takes him in.
- 42:56Speaker 2: He didn't even use his feet. They just carried him in.
- 42:58Speaker 2: I'm like, I didn't know they could do that. That's awesome.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I can read a couple of my notes. I just
- 43:03Speaker 1: like write things like Josh Allen, Josh Allen had to
- 43:07Speaker 1: write That's what I wrote. You had to Yeah, so
- 43:10Speaker 1: but I know what that means. That's a trigger for
- 43:11Speaker 1: me to go. They couldn't kick the field goal. They
- 43:15Speaker 1: couldn't give Patrick Mahomes the ball back because Patrick Mahomes
- 43:18Speaker 1: would have, according to history, driven and won the game,
- 43:22Speaker 1: because they could have scored a touchdown to win. So
- 43:24Speaker 1: they went for it fourth and two.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:26Speaker 1: And also Josh, that run that Joant beast beast like
- 43:31Speaker 1: Derrick Henry type. Yeah, like, don't get in his way.
- 43:34Speaker 1: And I don't think he ever actually went down, did
- 43:35Speaker 1: he No? But like four defenders. Yeah, Like, but they
- 43:39Speaker 1: had to And like I was, I was rooting for
- 43:42Speaker 1: the Chiefs to win the game. I like the Chiefs
- 43:43Speaker 1: also have them in our GM league, which we all
- 43:46Speaker 1: buy teams at the beginning of the year. If they win,
- 43:47Speaker 1: you win. But I liked it that they went for
- 43:51Speaker 1: it because had they even if they would have gotten it,
- 43:55Speaker 1: they gave Mahomes a chance to win the game, but
- 43:56Speaker 1: because they didn't, they did get it, and it was
- 43:58Speaker 1: a nine point game they weren't able to come back.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Gives a two possession game. That was awesome. But that's
- 44:02Speaker 1: the note I wrote.
- 44:03Speaker 2: You want to hear my notes? Had to, yeah, because
- 44:06Speaker 2: that's interesting. He had to. So this is my note.
- 44:08Speaker 2: First is Jimbo Cook scores first TD. I thought it
- 44:11Speaker 2: was hilarious that jim Nance called him Jimbo Cook.
- 44:14Speaker 4: That's what I calls him.
- 44:16Speaker 1: I didn't hear him.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Calling that, So that's my note on that, like, Jimbo Cook. Interesting.
- 44:21Speaker 2: And then I said, Bills down by two in four minutes,
- 44:24Speaker 2: they drive the ball, they have a fourth and two
- 44:27Speaker 2: at the thirty yard line. They go forward instead of
- 44:29Speaker 2: kicking the field goal and making it a five point game.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Then Alan keeps it. He scores Bills up by nine.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I think it just ai the screen yeah, he said, no, dude,
- 44:38Speaker 1: I wrote all this now, that's good, that's good college wise,
- 44:41Speaker 1: I wrote, really wish for that fat boy touchdown. Now
- 44:47Speaker 1: that's from the Florida LSU game.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Didn't watch that one.
- 44:52Speaker 1: And they Florida hold on the l s U. Fat Boy,
- 44:55Speaker 1: you know fat got touchdown? We love fat got touchdown. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:58Speaker 1: there's all. He picked it up, he takes it off running,
- 45:00Speaker 1: then he gets dam smacked and he fumbles it back.
- 45:02Speaker 2: That game was a wild that happened to the Cowboys last night.
- 45:05Speaker 2: I didn't even watch anything big Boy car watch that.
- 45:09Speaker 2: I don't know why I watch it. I missed the
- 45:10Speaker 2: first half. We have basketball practice and the first time
- 45:13Speaker 2: in my life, I said I'm going to basketball practice
- 45:15Speaker 2: instead of watching the game.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Really, your kids want.
- 45:18Speaker 1: To be sad. I will give quick thoughts on these games.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Packers Bears with the crap, what the crap? Like Kayla Wims.
- 45:24Speaker 1: What was great about kaya Wims this game is that
- 45:25Speaker 1: they had him throwing the ball much quicker. He got
- 45:27Speaker 1: rid of every pass, quick, quick, quick. He wasn't trying
- 45:29Speaker 1: to be superman and survive, and the Bears played good
- 45:33Speaker 1: enough to win. That great drive at the end and
- 45:35Speaker 1: the Packers blocked kick. That's crazy. I loved out. I
- 45:37Speaker 1: love a block kicked to win the game. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah,
- 45:40Speaker 1: and all week long. I guess they had been planning
- 45:42Speaker 1: on the I don't remember if it was a special
- 45:45Speaker 1: teams coach should wrote this down, but he was like,
- 45:47Speaker 1: you know, we think we can block a kick during
- 45:49Speaker 1: the game because we thought that because the trajectory was
- 45:51Speaker 1: so low. How he's kicking. They blocked kicked on the game.
- 45:54Speaker 2: They study the trajectory of the ball, how he kicks it.
- 45:57Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Lions Jackson. I watched like who plays because by the
- 46:00Speaker 1: time I turned it over, it was like twenty one
- 46:02Speaker 1: nothing or three, and I was like, this is it?
- 46:04Speaker 4: Great fantasy game.
- 46:05Speaker 1: I flip it back over and same bron caught another touchdowns, Like,
- 46:08Speaker 1: there's no need for me to watch it.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I don't know you can score that much. It's crazy.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Vikings Titans Will evis is just what are they doing?
- 46:17Speaker 4: I know it?
- 46:18Speaker 2: Will?
- 46:18Speaker 3: Is it?
- 46:18Speaker 2: Will? Or is it?
- 46:19Speaker 1: He's not good. They're not good, but you can also
- 46:23Speaker 1: not be good and he can still be good. I
- 46:25Speaker 1: e Drake may mm hmmm, because the Patriots are not good,
- 46:29Speaker 1: but you're starting to see Drake may be pretty good. Yeah,
- 46:31Speaker 1: without a real cast of character. He's like a mini
- 46:33Speaker 1: Josh No. Yeah, but the thing is you don't want
- 46:36Speaker 1: him to win. You want him to play well. Yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 1: it's perfect, it's perfect.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:40Speaker 4: Gives you hope like and then also more hope. And
- 46:43Speaker 4: in the off season.
- 46:44Speaker 2: You know, he's youngest of four brothers. This way, I
- 46:46Speaker 2: guess he plays so hard.
- 46:47Speaker 1: You wrote that note down. Yeah, nice, have a nice job.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Nice job. Dolphins and Raiders. I mean, brock Bowers played awesome, yeah,
- 46:56Speaker 1: he but the Raiders are terrible awful. Oh, I wrote
- 47:01Speaker 1: this down too. I won't do all the games because
- 47:03Speaker 1: it's a day later. We're about a day late for recap.
- 47:06Speaker 1: But check this out. I know it happened. Oh, listen
- 47:13Speaker 1: to this. By the way, here's another one. Alabama has
- 47:17Speaker 1: more wins over ranked teams than the top five combined.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Listen to this stat is here or because I wrote
- 47:27Speaker 1: this down, yes this year. Yeah, wins over current ranked teams.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Alabama has four right now victories over teams currently ranked.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Oregon has two, Ohio State has one, Texas has zero,
- 47:43Speaker 1: Penn State has zero, Indiana has zero. Interesting, Alabama has
- 47:48Speaker 1: more wins versus the top twenty five than the top
- 47:53Speaker 1: five teams combined. Tell me that ain't crazy.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Yeah, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri and LSU now wild.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I'll take a picture of this. It's my Bone Nicks
- 48:01Speaker 1: auto rookie that I saved when he played at Oregon.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Oh that's cool.
- 48:04Speaker 1: I saved it because I was like, ah, I'm a believer.
- 48:06Speaker 1: And again this before even the NFL Draft.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Is that a ten ten?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I did that. And then I also have
- 48:12Speaker 1: a rock Party auto double patch rookie from Iowa State.
- 48:17Speaker 2: I mean, no one was keeping that back in the day.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Dude, that's a thousand war card. And then I have
- 48:22Speaker 1: a my favorite one, a Jake Paul auto teenage from
- 48:26Speaker 1: Pop Century.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Hilarious. It's like Justin Bieber for it's a lot smaller too,
- 48:30Speaker 2: not so ripped.
- 48:31Speaker 1: I didn't realize he was so big.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Jack, Dude, he's so big, He's like thick. Yeah. And
- 48:36Speaker 2: then compared to his brother, Well, didn't realize his brother
- 48:38Speaker 2: was so tall. I know, yeah, there's I mean, he's
- 48:39Speaker 2: way bigger than his brother.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Oh here we got this is my note. I mean
- 48:44Speaker 1: winning percentage is Jets starting quarterback Zach Wilson three sixty
- 48:48Speaker 1: four one, about a little more than every third game.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Sam Darnold three forty two. This is gonna hurt Aaron
- 48:57Speaker 1: Rodgers two seventy.
- 48:59Speaker 4: Casey, I wish you were here.
- 49:00Speaker 2: What a disaster lost that game?
- 49:06Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't either. I watched it. I
- 49:10Speaker 1: watched most of the second half because that's where that
- 49:12Speaker 1: game was for the because it was this is a disgusting.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I was glad that Anthony Richard was playing.
- 49:18Speaker 4: You see that first running touchdown where he ran that
- 49:20Speaker 4: corner over. No, absolutely, I didn't murder the dude.
- 49:24Speaker 1: He's a big boy. Yeah, he's a big boy. Uh
- 49:28Speaker 1: franking Colts, dude, Like they're not good, they're fine, but
- 49:33Speaker 1: Anthony Richard is so dynamic. But the Jets suck.
- 49:37Speaker 2: That was my note for that game. Jets suck.
- 49:41Speaker 1: That's a that's that's the only note that's I mean,
- 49:45Speaker 1: it sucks for me being an Arkansas fan like Casey
- 49:47Speaker 1: and I Weard is like kindred spirits. It just were
- 49:50Speaker 1: used to it sucking. It doesn't mean it sucks anything less.
- 49:52Speaker 1: You're just better at it. It sucks so bad, don't Yeah,
- 49:57Speaker 1: I mean Patriot went all your championships. Hey, Rams, I
- 50:00Speaker 1: know the Rams will barely be the Patriots, but the
- 50:02Speaker 1: Rams look pretty good.
- 50:02Speaker 4: They touchdown from staff, although.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Pooka looked like he was gonna get hurt again. And
- 50:07Speaker 2: then it came back and played.
- 50:08Speaker 1: So, I don't know, did you watch Taysom Hills. Do
- 50:11Speaker 1: you see it's like eighty yard run?
- 50:12Speaker 2: Yeah? What the Yeah he scored?
- 50:15Speaker 1: I think no he did. He did, But that one
- 50:17Speaker 1: run that around the left side, was it left side?
- 50:20Speaker 4: I don't know the left side?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, it was How did they not catch him?
- 50:25Speaker 1: But also you're like he's big and he I mean
- 50:27Speaker 1: he can run. Yeah, he's fast. That guy does everything.
- 50:30Speaker 4: And he's like he's getting a little older now sixty
- 50:32Speaker 4: three and sixty three.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Yeah, Jake Paul wanted to fight him, but he was
- 50:38Speaker 1: too old.
- 50:38Speaker 4: They gotta Taso Hill No one.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I don't know why to but he popped up on
- 50:41Speaker 2: my Instagram like his family and it was he's a
- 50:43Speaker 2: girl dad. I didn't know that, and like it's just
- 50:45Speaker 2: so different his personal life versus like going in the
- 50:48Speaker 2: field running like that and knocking people over. He did
- 50:50Speaker 2: score three touchdowns though us crazy.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Three Fantasy if you and you playing a quarterback or
- 50:54Speaker 1: tight end in fantasy, because they have had a certain
- 50:56Speaker 1: amount of snaps in order to do that, and in
- 50:58Speaker 1: most you are able to do.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Oh is he still down as a quarterback? I know
- 51:02Speaker 2: he wasn't years past. I didn't know he was still.
- 51:04Speaker 1: I think from last year he got he was in
- 51:07Speaker 1: one of the leagues. I know for sure, be cause
- 51:08Speaker 1: I saw him on the waiver way and I didn't
- 51:09Speaker 1: pick him up. I was like, he was gonna waste
- 51:10Speaker 1: the spot on. Oh god, that's so hard to like.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Different leagues do different scorings, different settings. And I hate
- 51:15Speaker 1: playing in two leagues me too. I really wouldn't. I've
- 51:19Speaker 1: only ever played in one until last year and it
- 51:22Speaker 1: was another group of close friends and I was like, fine,
- 51:24Speaker 1: Like last night, I had Ceedee Lamb going for me
- 51:27Speaker 1: in one to win and going against me in another
- 51:29Speaker 1: to win and it was the worst. And then he
- 51:31Speaker 1: only scored mid so I lost both put up some
- 51:37Speaker 1: real points. Okay, there's that.
- 51:40Speaker 2: It's not his fault though, Man, Michael Chandler got beat.
- 51:43Speaker 2: You got beat. You gotta be pretty bad too.
- 51:45Speaker 5: Five.
- 51:45Speaker 2: It was a five round match as a championship rap match.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Former guest on the show. In person, you have fighter
- 51:49Speaker 1: Michael Chandler and dude.
- 51:51Speaker 2: But here's the thing, though, his physical shape is amazing
- 51:55Speaker 2: because he he did get whooped for four rounds, but
- 51:58Speaker 2: that last round he was like usually when people fight
- 52:01Speaker 2: in the fifth round, their toast, they're done. Their legs
- 52:03Speaker 2: can't hold anything, they can't fight anymore, their punches mean nothing. No,
- 52:07Speaker 2: not Michael Chandler. Dude, he picked up Olivera and like
- 52:10Speaker 2: almost like he squatted him, so they were like picture
- 52:12Speaker 2: of those bones. He kind of had Olivera had Michael
- 52:15Speaker 2: Chandler rapped, okay, wrapped from behind like about trying to
- 52:19Speaker 2: do a choke hold on him. Michael Chandler gets up
- 52:21Speaker 2: like he's squatting and picks them up in a squad.
- 52:25Speaker 1: That's my wife sometimes shows like wrestle them like just
- 52:26Speaker 1: like bro, I just brewed it and take her up.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Yes that yeah, I can show like jump away from behind,
- 52:30Speaker 1: but I'm stronger than her, so I can like get up.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Yes, yeah he did that from the grass and then
- 52:35Speaker 2: try to slam him backwards. Crazy ooh did it twice?
- 52:39Speaker 2: So like yes, is Michael Chandler did he get beat? Yeah?
- 52:42Speaker 2: But dude, his physical shape is pretty amazing.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Is he watched this fighter?
- 52:46Speaker 4: No, he's thirty eight, That's what I'm saying.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Like he and he definitely. He got on the mic
- 52:51Speaker 2: afterwards and challenged Connor McGregor again. He said, get out
- 52:53Speaker 2: of your bed, come on.
- 52:54Speaker 4: Canceled earlier, but after I lost.
- 52:56Speaker 1: It's hard to do a challenge where someone listens when
- 52:58Speaker 1: you lose. I know, I think Jake paulin Connor McGregor
- 53:00Speaker 1: could be the.
- 53:01Speaker 4: Next that one already box right, No, I I get
- 53:06Speaker 4: all those money scams mixed up.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I mean the two greatest promoters though. Yeah, Connor McGregor
- 53:12Speaker 1: and Jack Paul.
- 53:13Speaker 4: Yeah, it's true. I'm not hating.
- 53:14Speaker 1: I also say, and I have like three things and
- 53:17Speaker 1: we've done here. But I don't watch much women's boxing.
- 53:19Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you, don't watch much boxing. I
- 53:22Speaker 1: just don't watch much boxing. Oh, by the way, no
- 53:24Speaker 1: one does me. Let me say this. You're passionate about
- 53:26Speaker 1: that UFC fight that you watched. Yeah, that's that's it.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Do that to football? Well, I have to pay eighty
- 53:32Speaker 1: dollars to watch that by Sunday ticket.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I do, but it's as it spans out the whole season,
- 53:37Speaker 2: so I don't even think about.
- 53:39Speaker 1: That's where it is right there. You heard it, You
- 53:41Speaker 1: heard it like that that sparkle.
- 53:42Speaker 4: When he was recreating Yeah, he was like, that's it,
- 53:46Speaker 4: that's the sparkle.
- 53:47Speaker 1: You didn't even need knowes.
- 53:48Speaker 2: He just went, yeah, you're right, you're right. I didn't
- 53:50Speaker 2: take notes on that one.
- 53:51Speaker 1: That women's fight was one of the best fights I've
- 53:53Speaker 1: ever seen him, a life.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Awesome and that girl got ripped, gypped.
- 53:58Speaker 2: That's when you get stolen.
- 54:00Speaker 1: I don't know enough, but I don't know enough about
- 54:02Speaker 1: it because I think boxing's all bregged anyway, not even
- 54:05Speaker 1: Jake Paul, but like in general, you hear all the
- 54:07Speaker 1: I did watch well, it was buffering so bad, even
- 54:10Speaker 1: for that fight. But whenever the because one one was
- 54:14Speaker 1: from like Ireland or Italy with the flat I get
- 54:17Speaker 1: that one mixed up, and the other one from Puerto Rico.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Maybe yes, yes, she was so whenever the Irish girl
- 54:23Speaker 1: would hit her Iland Iland, she would hit her so
- 54:29Speaker 1: much harder. It was like, Okay, she landed the Puerto
- 54:33Speaker 1: Rican she landed one hundred punches. I'm just making up numbers,
- 54:36Speaker 1: and the other girl landed forty. But those forty knocked
- 54:40Speaker 1: up out of her.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Her eye was like folding over her eye.
- 54:43Speaker 2: And in the head butt, well that's what caused it,
- 54:47Speaker 2: the head butt.
- 54:47Speaker 1: The head butt was the eye. But I'm talking about
- 54:49Speaker 1: just the fight, yes, but then there's it was awesome fight.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Who the Irish Irish girl?
- 54:54Speaker 4: She did get the other the Puerto Rican did the
- 54:58Speaker 4: only part.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Again, I don't the thing about boxing, So I'm watching
- 55:01Speaker 1: this one fresh eyes. I mean, I've watched boxing, but
- 55:04Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know anyone.
- 55:05Speaker 2: When's the last time you watched it boxing match like Lewis.
- 55:08Speaker 1: No, No, Mayweather and McGregor. Yeah, not even a real one.
- 55:11Speaker 1: That's not a real one. Yeah, so you know what
- 55:14Speaker 1: I watched. You're gonna have to help me with the names.
- 55:17Speaker 1: The one guy from England who has the bald head,
- 55:18Speaker 1: who's funny, who shouldn't look like he's a big guy
- 55:23Speaker 1: when he fought the other really big. Yes, because so
- 55:26Speaker 1: Tyler Fair is a big white guy. There's a big
- 55:27Speaker 1: black guy fought like three times against each other. I
- 55:29Speaker 1: don't know were their names. I watched watch one of
- 55:32Speaker 1: those and it was crazy.
- 55:33Speaker 4: That was a good one. I don't think the last
- 55:35Speaker 4: one was a second to the last one.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I want.
- 55:36Speaker 2: There's a Mexican that's really good, Canelo. Yeah you know him. Yeah,
- 55:40Speaker 2: he's like a famous boxer that's still boxes.
- 55:42Speaker 1: And I think Jake Paul called him out and said
- 55:44Speaker 1: canelos me. He said, I don't need a Canelo, Canelo
- 55:46Speaker 1: needs me. If they want money, it's Jake Paul. Go
- 55:48Speaker 1: fight Jake Paul.
- 55:48Speaker 2: But these are older boxers.
- 55:50Speaker 1: That's a genius. Jake Fall's a genius. Like you cannot
- 55:54Speaker 1: like him. He doesn't care. He wants you to not
- 55:55Speaker 1: like him. He's playing hill.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Oh, I don't care.
- 55:57Speaker 1: He's playing a hill. And people like, we hate Jake Paul. Yeah,
- 55:59Speaker 1: I hate them all. What are making forty million bucks?
- 56:01Speaker 1: And that's just from that, just from the purse.
- 56:03Speaker 2: And he does have kind of a sweetheart too, because
- 56:05Speaker 2: he purposely didn't knock Mike Tyson out when he could have.
- 56:08Speaker 1: The problem is though I know he carried them, but
- 56:10Speaker 1: then he had to say it at the end and
- 56:11Speaker 1: the press conference. I didn't like that. He guess, yeah,
- 56:13Speaker 1: I had to carry If you had to carry him,
- 56:14Speaker 1: then you carry him.
- 56:14Speaker 2: Oh he said that.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Yeah. But also he's playing hell. He's a heel it's
- 56:18Speaker 1: the greatest. Yeah, I'm big Jake Paul fan. Don't even
- 56:20Speaker 1: knowbody else he does logan Paul's awesome. I watch him.
- 56:23Speaker 1: I've watched him wrestle, and like, he looks legitimate. He's WWE,
- 56:28Speaker 1: he's a champion. He was a champion.
- 56:29Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Yeah, those guys, I can't hate on him because they
- 56:32Speaker 1: have done.
- 56:32Speaker 4: And they have the prime drink.
- 56:33Speaker 1: They've done it all.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and they were.
- 56:35Speaker 2: And then what's that spray that he was using?
- 56:37Speaker 1: Dude, Oh I saw that heet spraying.
- 56:40Speaker 2: I'm sure it's some product.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I can see where people will be annoyed by them,
- 56:43Speaker 1: be like, what do they do? But the opportunities that
- 56:47Speaker 1: they had were the same opportunities that anybody else had
- 56:50Speaker 1: YouTube no vine vine, that's right, that's right, everybody had
- 56:55Speaker 1: those opportunities, and they chose to use those strategize market
- 57:00Speaker 1: make some mistakes. Dude there.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I used to hate on them. Now it's like,
- 57:04Speaker 4: all right, respect.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Respect.
- 57:06Speaker 1: You can still hate on them. You don't have to
- 57:07Speaker 1: like them, but respect so much. Respect Okay. And I
- 57:09Speaker 1: don't know the person myself. They've done like some cancable,
- 57:11Speaker 1: So don't cancel.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Me for them some stuff out there.
- 57:14Speaker 1: That's one probably. I have two other things I want
- 57:16Speaker 1: to mention. I do want to go with the the
- 57:21Speaker 1: Paul Skins patch. I know, Kevin, you saw this too.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I saw the What what tip me off about it
- 57:28Speaker 1: was the Pirates posting on their social media. The Pirates said,
- 57:32Speaker 1: if anybody finds this card, which by the way, I
- 57:34Speaker 1: saw Skeens doing a video where he was just signing it.
- 57:38Speaker 1: It's a one on one any rookie patch. They wear
- 57:41Speaker 1: it during the rookie game and they take the patch
- 57:43Speaker 1: off immediately put on a card. So it's not a
- 57:45Speaker 1: cut patch like them. It's it says like uh, it
- 57:49Speaker 1: says like I forget what it's called. But it's like
- 57:54Speaker 1: first game whatever, and they put on a card. It's
- 57:56Speaker 1: one on one. It's autographed because Matt's holiday holiday were
- 58:01Speaker 1: one of his first game. Yeah.
- 58:03Speaker 4: MLB debut.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's it. Okay, So as soon as
- 58:05Speaker 1: the game's over to take it off, put on a card.
- 58:08Speaker 1: So the Pirates offered two season tickets behind home play
- 58:12Speaker 1: for the next thirty years. A mean greet I was
- 58:15Speaker 1: Skians two autographs, Skis jerseys. A softball game at P
- 58:17Speaker 1: and C. Park with coaching from Pirates alumni, a private
- 58:20Speaker 1: tour of Pirates spring training facilities, taking batting practice, warming
- 58:24Speaker 1: up with the team. So it's a whole thing, right,
- 58:26Speaker 1: But then I follow Ken Golden He's like, don't do that.
- 58:28Speaker 1: He's like, you want to change your life. This is
- 58:29Speaker 1: a million dollar card. Million dollars or more. He was like,
- 58:33Speaker 1: He's like, bring the card to me and I'll sell
- 58:36Speaker 1: it and that your money.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Well, why do the Pirates want it so.
- 58:41Speaker 1: They can have it and show it off?
- 58:42Speaker 2: That's it? Yeah, okay, yeah, good call because I was
- 58:45Speaker 2: already Biden at the thirty years this season tickets right
- 58:49Speaker 2: behind home plate sounds pretty good.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they think it's a seven figure card. Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 1: that's pretty cool. One other thing was the game Wardan
- 58:56Speaker 1: Michael Jordan Jersey his game more in Jerseys I see
- 59:01Speaker 1: quite frequently on the Golden app which I've been buying
- 59:04Speaker 1: as much. I do have a I do have a
- 59:05Speaker 1: couple of cool balls and the ball is not crazy expensive,
- 59:08Speaker 1: but I have a Magic Johnson Larry Bird dual wall.
- 59:12Speaker 1: They should be getting to the house any any time.
- 59:13Speaker 2: It's pretty cool.
- 59:15Speaker 1: And then I have a Tiffany you know that that
- 59:17Speaker 1: Tiffany blue, like you go to the store in the ball,
- 59:20Speaker 1: the expensive jwelry store Tiffany. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that that blue.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Tiffany makes basketballs, high end basketballs. And I have a
- 59:27Speaker 1: Larry Bird sign Tiffany ball that I don't have yet.
- 59:30Speaker 4: That's that thing.
- 59:32Speaker 1: It is a thing, I know.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Do you have anything Jordan, like anything.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Cards, nothing signed? Because I just can't pull the trigger
- 59:39Speaker 1: and spending that much money. Yeah, this game war in
- 59:42Speaker 1: Jersey from the Chicago Bulls ninety six to ninety seven
- 59:44Speaker 1: season sold for four point six eight million dollars. It's
- 59:46Speaker 1: the fourth biggest price paid for NBA Jersey. The Jordan
- 59:50Speaker 1: ninety eight Bulls Jersey sold for ten point one million
- 59:52Speaker 1: in twenty twenty two. That's crazy. The thing is that
- 59:57Speaker 1: bubble hasn't popped. I don't even that it's a bubble
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: because it's history. Like there's a card bubble. I don't
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: know when that thing's gonna pop it or eve it's
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: gonna pop now. And the housing bubble hasn't pop. People
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: say it for years, that's gonna happen. It hasn't. You
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: bought property, it's still going up. Bubble for three years
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: it's like bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, no bubble. No, but
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: no bubble for me, which.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I do feel like the card bubble pops every like
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: twenty years maybe, But.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: If we're five years under the bubble, yeah, we're still
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: in it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: It's still pretty new, like the momentum that's been building
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: on behind cards.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: But the problem is bubbles don't burst well, and it's
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: like a history worn thing, right, there's there's only so many.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: The problem with the cards is they just start making
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: more and more and more, and so then you're just
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: saturating the market with so many that that's what pops
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: that bubble.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: But I that's pretty cool. That's a lot any desire
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: for No, because I don't know something like that. I
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: don't have to guard it. I'd be afraid to leave
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: the house. I'd have to go put it in like
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: a safety de posit bucks. Then to just show people
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: pictures of it.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so stupid.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I know that's stupid. Okay, we're done here. I'll end
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: on this note. This is the greatest thing. This is
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: the greatest trouble to be in. And Mike kicking hit
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the music there. If you want family Star excuse me.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Family Matter star Jill ol White Arkle, Yeah, Arkle is
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: shedding light on his fame. The actor who played Steve
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Arkele from eighty nine to ninety eight revealed in his
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: upcoming memoir called Growing Up Arkle that they told him
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you have to wear looser jeans to hide your big bulge. Wow,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: that's the greatest thing.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Imagine you've never been told that.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: No, They're like, hey, could you tipen up a little bit?
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Because you pack it up? You do something? Why do
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: look like goes inward? That's what they say to me.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Why do you have a camel tooe? Why is it? Yeah?
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I'm like, no, no, no, it's not White recalled show executive
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: telling him to ditch his suspenders and high waisted jeans
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: because I guess his dog was too big.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Why does he say that? Yeah? I mean, why did
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: you put that in his memoir?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I would love to have to write that in my memoir.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: You could. Who's gonna know, who's gonna question that?
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Everybody that knows me in the history of the world.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: True, and dude, I won't say anything.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I swear, Yeah, it's everybody else in the world. So
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Jelo White shout out to you. Thank you guys for listening.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: We'll see you guys later on. This week we do
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: have the two lanehead football coach and what a year.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I mean, it's rocking and rolling.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it's pretty good last couple of years.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: So hopefully we'll get him on later on. We've got
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: a couple other things possibly later on, and I think
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: that's it, all right, blow it up, all right? Thank
