- 1:11Speaker 2: simple show. I'm going to tell Dan about a TV
- 1:14Speaker 2: courtroom show that I saw. He's gonna try the guest
- 1:16Speaker 2: the verdict, and you can as well at home, and
- 1:17Speaker 2: then Dan's gonna be the exact same thing. Two court
- 1:20Speaker 2: cases for the price of one. That's yo, Gavel, Gavel, Dan.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Do we have any new reviews? I wonder that's a
- 1:25Speaker 2: great question. Brand I don't think so, I don't think.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Well, I'm this is this is all I'm going to
- 1:31Speaker 1: say about that. If you haven't left us a review one,
- 1:33Speaker 1: our hearts are broken by this because we need those reviews.
- 1:38Speaker 1: We need because that's how people find us on the

- 1:43Speaker 1: that'd be really wonderful and just let us know, uh,
- 1:46Speaker 1: let us know your favorite court case or judge. I mean,
- 1:49Speaker 1: let us know your favorite judge a TV court kind
- 1:53Speaker 1: not like I don't know. I don't know. I don't
- 1:55Speaker 1: want to know your favorite real judge. I don't want
- 1:57Speaker 1: to know.
- 1:57Speaker 2: You're like a hometown Jerry McNamar. Shout out, Terry, the honorable,
- 2:03Speaker 2: the honorable honorable macnamara.
- 2:05Speaker 1: That's say, Hey, Dan, who do you have today?
- 2:07Speaker 2: I got mathis my go to my ride or died judge.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Maths, you want me to go first, Johnny Mature. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 1: is Sekah is Sokka? I think is Sakah Bird is
- 2:16Speaker 1: her name? This is an old case isaka I s
- 2:21Speaker 1: A c A okay uh, this is an old case brand.
- 2:24Speaker 2: This is this case maybe eighteen years old. I chose
- 2:26Speaker 2: it because the title on YouTube was he gave me
- 2:29Speaker 2: the flu first. Now fair enough, great title. Case doesn't
- 2:34Speaker 2: have a lot to do with that, but great, great title.
- 2:36Speaker 2: A little bit of flu, not a lot of flu.
- 2:38Speaker 2: So is Saekah Bird is suing her ex fiance, Adrian
- 2:43Speaker 2: Walker for eight hundred bucks in cell phone payments? This
- 2:46Speaker 2: Sekah is like listen, I met the defendant in the
- 2:48Speaker 2: year two thousand, two thousand. We became friends. We started
- 2:52Speaker 2: dating in two thousand and two. He's very charming, He's shy.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Because of that, I didn't think I'd have to worry
- 2:58Speaker 2: about him chasing around other women. I was wrong, she said.
- 3:01Speaker 2: We started dating six months dating in two thousand and three.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Six months later he comes to me and he goes,
- 3:07Speaker 2: I think I got another girl pregnant. Oh and matthis
- 3:10Speaker 2: is like he just came up and told you that.
- 3:12Speaker 1: She was like yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 2: He was like, they've been dan for hall on six months.
- 3:15Speaker 2: He was like, can you believe he did that? And
- 3:18Speaker 2: she said, you're, honor. We live in a really small town.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I would have found out a bit, kay, honorable, Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 2: but he basically he was like a lot of people
- 3:26Speaker 2: wouldn't tell you got it, Honorable Terry McNamara. That so
- 3:31Speaker 2: they did a DNA test. Turns out he was not
- 3:34Speaker 2: the father. But she was like, that was a wrap
- 3:37Speaker 2: for me.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I was done. I wasn't deal with him anymore. So
- 3:39Speaker 1: he did sleep with another woman, but and then he
- 3:42Speaker 1: was honest about it and then it wasn't his child,
- 3:44Speaker 1: but they still they broke up. So that's two thousand
- 3:47Speaker 1: and four, Okay, two thousand and seven, three years later,
- 3:50Speaker 1: years later, that's right. That they had been talking a
- 3:52Speaker 1: little bit, like they still see each other, very small town.
- 3:56Speaker 2: He had apologized, but like, that was it for me,
- 3:59Speaker 2: your honor, And then she says, so, what you think
- 4:01Speaker 2: it's too late?
- 4:01Speaker 1: According to this, it's never too late to APOLOGIZEZ What
- 4:04Speaker 1: about calling the judge?
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yes, McNamara includes to that. So this is exactly what
- 4:09Speaker 2: a Sekah says here. She says, uh, so he apologized,
- 4:12Speaker 2: but that was a rap for me.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I was done. Three years later, he came up to
- 4:15Speaker 1: me at the gym and he proposed to me. That's
- 4:18Speaker 1: what she said. Now, they hadn't been dating.
- 4:20Speaker 2: They hadn't been if there was some subtexts here that
- 4:24Speaker 2: three years later they started talking again. But what she
- 4:27Speaker 2: says is three years later he came up to me
- 4:29Speaker 2: at the gym and proposed to me. Now, imagine that
- 4:32Speaker 2: you dated someone who cheated on you, was honest with you,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and then you're at the gym just getting some sets in, yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 2: and they come up to you and propose.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It does sound like this person has a tendency to
- 4:44Speaker 1: just come up And I'm just like, hey, exactly exactly
- 4:48Speaker 1: why I got another girl?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Probably news And she was like, but you're on her.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I said no it first, and then later, against my
- 4:54Speaker 2: better judgment, I did start.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Dating him again. Okay, And Matthews is like, I'm not
- 4:59Speaker 1: going to marry you, but I will start dating. Like
- 5:00Speaker 1: what happened? What do you mean? Why'd you do that?
- 5:02Speaker 2: He goes, well, she said, well, we kept talking and
- 5:04Speaker 2: last year, on my birthday, I was sick, really bad.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I got the flu and he came and checked on me.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He brought me my favorite meal. He took care of me,
- 5:13Speaker 2: like he really like went above and beyond. And I
- 5:16Speaker 2: just was like, maybe I should give this guy another chance.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Her favorite meal is actually a really heavy meal, which
- 5:19Speaker 2: isn't good for the flu. But it's the thought that counts.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Just thought that it's a cheese stick. Yeah, it's a
- 5:24Speaker 2: che cheese stick. She really wanted the flu about sweet. Nonetheless,
- 5:28Speaker 2: Maths is like, this sounds like a good man here.
- 5:30Speaker 2: He's honest about his mistakes. He's taking care of you.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Maybe he's learned something, I'd say.
- 5:34Speaker 1: She's like, well, we started dating, and then I went
- 5:36Speaker 1: through his phone and I found out he had been
- 5:38Speaker 1: texting some other girl. This is pre like Facebook, like
- 5:42Speaker 1: oh seven Facebook exists, but they clearly don't have Facebook.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Sure he'd been talking to someone as the girl and
- 5:48Speaker 2: he and Mater, Well, what was he saying? She was like,
- 5:50Speaker 2: he was saying stuff like I'll be there in a minute,
- 5:52Speaker 2: I'm at the store, I'm around the corner, clearly stalling what.
- 5:56Speaker 1: He was doing for me. Yeah, I mean and then
- 5:59Speaker 1: and then uh, Matth goes, what kind of work do
- 6:01Speaker 1: you do? Sir? And Adrian says, I'm a maintenance tech
- 6:03Speaker 1: at the hospital, and Mathis goes maintenance tech at the hospital.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That woman could have needed so maintenance. Like He's like
- 6:12Speaker 1: that nothing he said is incriminating yet, like, although I
- 6:17Speaker 1: think Mathi's is really good. And this guy, this guy,
- 6:20Speaker 1: after hearing Mathis say that, I was like, I could
- 6:22Speaker 1: have said I could have said that.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So say is like, well, I started texting this woman
- 6:27Speaker 2: using his phone and I'm pretending to be him, okay, uh,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and I got her to send me a picture and
- 6:33Speaker 2: it was a nasty picture and and that was kind
- 6:36Speaker 2: of when I knew what was going on. As Adrian's like,
- 6:39Speaker 2: that's not not true. Uh, your honor, and then he's like, well,
- 6:43Speaker 2: let me hear your side of the story.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And Adrian's like, listen, Sekah is a so nice, she's attractive,
- 6:48Speaker 1: she's outgoing.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I need somebody like that in my life. She's down
- 6:52Speaker 2: to earth. She's been there for me and has had
- 6:54Speaker 2: my back through sick and thin. But what she's trying
- 6:57Speaker 2: to make it seem like it was that I was
- 6:59Speaker 2: doing a lot of bad stuff and I wasn't and
- 7:02Speaker 2: I have female friends, but she would take my phone
- 7:05Speaker 2: and it's like I can't have female friends. She's like
- 7:07Speaker 2: a private investigator. She gets my text before I get
- 7:10Speaker 2: to myself. She'll tell me what people y. She gets
- 7:14Speaker 2: to today's text earlier tomorrow today. Yeah, and then and
- 7:18Speaker 2: then he would say, he would say, uh, she was
- 7:21Speaker 2: paying like we were. We had a joint cell phone plan,
- 7:24Speaker 2: and she would just turn my cell phone off. She'd
- 7:29Speaker 2: find these Remember once again, that's why O seven is important, Like, yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 2: you saved a ton on that family plan. Like you
- 7:36Speaker 2: you were looking for people. You would meet somebody one
- 7:39Speaker 2: day and the next they'd be like that one time,
- 7:42Speaker 2: you want in on the family plan.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Uh So it was a different time. It was a
- 7:47Speaker 1: different era.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Every every millennial is like twenty five and wanting to
- 7:51Speaker 2: stay on their parents' family plan. Uh So, He's like,
- 7:55Speaker 2: she'd she would just call up there and turn my
- 7:57Speaker 2: cell phone off without telling me for a week or
- 8:01Speaker 2: two and then turn it back on. She wants to
- 8:03Speaker 2: paint this picture like she's perfect, but she's got issues too.
- 8:07Speaker 2: She was talking to boys. Matthews is like, oh she was.
- 8:09Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, she's talking to other guys, just like
- 8:12Speaker 2: just like I was. And Mathis goes so you're just
- 8:15Speaker 2: not as good of an investigator, and he goes, I
- 8:19Speaker 2: guess not good line. The seka is like, listen. Mathis
- 8:22Speaker 2: is like, okay, so what happened here? So tell me
- 8:24Speaker 2: about the eight hundred dollars. He goes, you guys were
- 8:25Speaker 2: on the family plan and he was paying. She was like, yes,
- 8:27Speaker 2: he was paying, and then she goes, so we broke up.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I heard about this next girl. That was a wrap
- 8:31Speaker 2: for me this time real. I was definitely breaking up
- 8:34Speaker 2: with him, but we had already planned a trip to
- 8:36Speaker 2: New York City together to go see my family. Mathis goes,
- 8:40Speaker 2: so you broke up with him a second time for
- 8:43Speaker 2: cheating twice, but you still went on a trip with him,
- 8:48Speaker 2: and she goes, let me, he goes, let me guess,
- 8:50Speaker 2: same hotel, same hotel room, and you guys said we'll
- 8:53Speaker 2: sleep in separate beds, and a seka is like, yes,
- 8:57Speaker 2: your honor, that's all of that is actually true. So
- 9:00Speaker 2: this woman went on a trip to New York City
- 9:03Speaker 2: with her twice removed ex boyfriend who had cheated on
- 9:07Speaker 2: her twice, and she was like, the trip was already booked,
- 9:10Speaker 2: We'd already paid for it. There's nothing we could do,
- 9:13Speaker 2: so we decided to still go on the trip. So
- 9:16Speaker 2: he told me he was good to go on this trip.
- 9:18Speaker 2: He went at the trip, turns out he lost his job.
- 9:21Speaker 2: He didn't ask for the time off. He lost his job,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and he couldn't pay the cell phone bill after that,
- 9:26Speaker 2: so we're already broken up. He returns from New York
- 9:29Speaker 2: City with no job, and he agreed he'd pay half.
- 9:32Speaker 2: He didn't pay half. Maths like, you got the phone bills.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I got the phone bills. Adrian says, your honor wasn't
- 9:38Speaker 2: working for four months. As soon as I got a job,
- 9:39Speaker 2: I started paying her one hundrede hundred and fifty dollars
- 9:41Speaker 2: a month. She's still talking about the cell phone bill.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I've been paying her at least one hundred dollars a
- 9:45Speaker 2: month for the last three months, and I don't know
- 9:47Speaker 2: how or anything aside from the money I'm giving her
- 9:50Speaker 2: every month. Masters, how much money have you paid? He goes,
- 9:54Speaker 2: at least three hundred dollars, but I've not kept track.
- 9:57Speaker 2: He turns to his SECA. Did he pay you the
- 9:59Speaker 2: three hundred dollars? Sega says no. He in fact, he
- 10:02Speaker 2: owes me eight hundred for cell phone.
- 10:03Speaker 1: He actually owes me five hundred for these other bills
- 10:06Speaker 1: aside from the eight hundred for the cell phone. He goes,
- 10:08Speaker 1: do you have any proof of that?
- 10:09Speaker 2: No, he said, do you have any proof that she
- 10:11Speaker 2: you didn't pay her, that he didn't pay you three
- 10:13Speaker 2: hundred dollars?
- 10:15Speaker 1: She goes, no, I didn't. He goes, did you pay
- 10:16Speaker 1: her three hundred dollars? Adrian says, yes, I did pay
- 10:19Speaker 1: her three hundred dollars. He said, do you owe her
- 10:21Speaker 1: for other bills aside from the cell phone? No, he said,
- 10:25Speaker 1: at the time, I probably did owe some other bills.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I lost track there, but she told you I didn't
- 10:31Speaker 1: pay on anything, and I did pay her three hundred dollars.
- 10:34Speaker 2: That is the end of the arguments. Mathis is ready
- 10:37Speaker 2: to rule it eight hundred dollars of cell phone bills
- 10:39Speaker 2: he had not paid.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Okay, what did she say? The breakdown was though she said,
- 10:48Speaker 1: it's a something of three hundred something of cell phone
- 10:50Speaker 1: and then five hundreds of other bills. She said, it's
- 10:53Speaker 1: eight hundred cell phone.
- 10:55Speaker 2: He also owes me five hundred other bills, and I'm
- 10:58Speaker 2: not even making him pay that got it?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Okay? So we're gonna obviously throw that out. I think
- 11:02Speaker 1: it's going to be eight hundred something, the minus to
- 11:04Speaker 1: three hundred. Okay, Mathis looks him and goes, sir, it's
- 11:07Speaker 1: pretty clear you owder more than eight hundred, by your
- 11:09Speaker 1: own admission. You oder for other bills too. I almost
- 11:12Speaker 1: say you paid her five hundred. She's still giving you
- 11:14Speaker 1: a discount. You owed eight hundred cell phone, five hundred
- 11:18Speaker 1: for this other stuff. Let's say you gave her three hundred.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You still over one thousand dollars, she's only charging you
- 11:22Speaker 1: eight hundred. Take the deal, take the discount, judgment in
- 11:26Speaker 1: favor of the plane. There you go. I'll kind done,
- 11:29Speaker 1: all right. I guess math Math is out here cooking.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It's the Mathis Math, that's the mast Math. Do what
- 11:34Speaker 1: you will with it. Let's head over to Judge Gino's Court,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Personal injury Court, if you will, and I shall, I
- 11:39Speaker 1: would like to introduce you to Matthew Richardson, who is
- 11:43Speaker 1: suing Dean Black. That's his name for forty five k
- 11:47Speaker 1: in past medical, fifteen k in future medical, and twenty
- 11:51Speaker 1: nine k and lost wages eighty nine k. Low boy,
- 11:54Speaker 1: A low boy. But the crowd does still moan, of course,
- 11:57Speaker 1: they always no.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I want to just a quick pau It's just a
- 12:01Speaker 2: time out, a quick thirty seconds, Brandon, I thought you
- 12:03Speaker 2: were gonna sneak this by me. I believe it was
- 12:06Speaker 2: mere weeks ago, days ago, that we had a case
- 12:10Speaker 2: on the gabble uh, personal Injury Court that I did
- 12:14Speaker 2: that was so egregious. Before I announced the verdict, you said,
- 12:18Speaker 2: if Gino gives them any money, I'll never watch Personal
- 12:22Speaker 2: Injury Court again. He will be done. And Gino gave
- 12:25Speaker 2: them almost all of the money. And we are here.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Well a few days later, and you were watching Judge.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's a good watch. The Legal sauce got you. The
- 12:34Speaker 1: legal sauce always does. Legal sauce got you. It's a
- 12:37Speaker 1: delicious sauce, A delicious sauce with a really bad ass
- 12:40Speaker 1: sauce as the boss. After it taste sucks. All right,
- 12:43Speaker 1: Let's get into the illegal sauce, shall we. Matthew has
- 12:46Speaker 1: known Dean Black for a few years now. He is
- 12:50Speaker 1: an adventure fellow if you will, he loves adventure got
- 12:55Speaker 1: him and he found a group on social media called
- 12:58Speaker 1: Mountain Adventure Squad, God Mountain Adventure Squad, Mountain Adventure Squad
- 13:03Speaker 1: and uh, they want to hike all of the peaks
- 13:07Speaker 1: in the United States, which coincidentally is one of Matthew's
- 13:10Speaker 1: goals in life. And so he and uh messaged Dean,
- 13:14Speaker 1: who was the leader of the group, and inquired about,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you know, what it would take to join and all
- 13:20Speaker 1: that good star Obviously, eventually they did end up joining forces.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Dean has been hiking since he was five. His dad
- 13:27Speaker 1: took him out for his first hike when he was driving.
- 13:29Speaker 1: He was hooked so old. He started the group for
- 13:33Speaker 1: people who liked being outdoors like him, and he would
- 13:37Speaker 1: plan some trips, some hiking adventures and all that good stuff.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And the goal was to have fun and to hike.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But we didn't do anything too dangerous. Don't misunderstanding, doesn't
- 13:49Speaker 1: have to be dangerous, exactly right. Matthew says, there's no
- 13:53Speaker 1: feeling he loves more than being on top of a mountain.
- 13:56Speaker 1: That rush you give from being above it. All that's good.
- 14:00Speaker 1: That's a good height and same thing. Uh So, he
- 14:06Speaker 1: says that they found a a new peak that no
- 14:10Speaker 1: one in the group had been in been on top of,
- 14:12Speaker 1: I guess you should say. And uh, so they wake
- 14:15Speaker 1: up at five am. They hiked three hours. They get
- 14:17Speaker 1: to the top and we see footage from Dean's drone
- 14:22Speaker 1: of the man the drum hiking and there at the top.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Now he sets the drugs. That's exactly right. And we
- 14:32Speaker 1: see the footage and it's beautiful, and we see from
- 14:36Speaker 1: the camera that Matthew has climbed up on a rock
- 14:42Speaker 1: that is higher than where everybody else is. Boy and
- 14:47Speaker 1: he says that feeling that you get on top of
- 14:51Speaker 1: a mountain, He said, being at the highest height that
- 14:54Speaker 1: you can get is unlike anything else. So if he
- 14:56Speaker 1: gets to the top of a mountain there is a
- 14:58Speaker 1: little tiny rock, he needs to get to the highest
- 15:02Speaker 1: height that feeling. So Matthew goes, arms wide open. Okay,
- 15:09Speaker 1: so Matthew, Matthew gets to on top of this rock
- 15:13Speaker 1: and titans and titanics this joint and the drone. The
- 15:18Speaker 1: drone starts to come at him and it gets closed.
- 15:22Speaker 1: The drone flying at him. Uh, we'll get to it
- 15:24Speaker 1: in a second. So it gets closer and closer, and
- 15:26Speaker 1: it ends up hitting him in the gut, which throws
- 15:28Speaker 1: him off the boulder. He breaks his arm and he
- 15:30Speaker 1: tears his rotator cuff. Dean says that this what had
- 15:37Speaker 1: happened here. He's like, I don't want to I don't
- 15:39Speaker 1: want to get ahead of this, but I do want
- 15:40Speaker 1: to say I'm not responsible for any of this. The drone.
- 15:43Speaker 1: The drone was in home mode. Basically, you know, you
- 15:48Speaker 1: fly your thing aroun and then you and then you
- 15:50Speaker 1: click the home button and the drone will basically go
- 15:53Speaker 1: on autopilot back and go right right you needed to go,
- 15:58Speaker 1: so uh, Dean's says, I wasn't even act I didn't
- 16:01Speaker 1: actually have control of the drone. Pilot was on auto pilot.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Matthew says, I don't know if you're familiar with drones, judge,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and Judge says I'm not, and he will prove that
- 16:13Speaker 1: fact here in a second. We're gonna bring to the
- 16:15Speaker 1: plasma and but Matthew says it's basically a box with
- 16:20Speaker 1: spinning knives, and Dean goes, okay, all right, all right,
- 16:25Speaker 1: we have video of the incident. Drone out here flies
- 16:29Speaker 1: right into him. Boom, is it funny. That's pretty great,
- 16:33Speaker 1: it's pretty great. We don't have the audio, though, which
- 16:35Speaker 1: is unfortunate, and I actually wish we would have had
- 16:36Speaker 1: the audio because it would have helped. Uh. Prove some
- 16:39Speaker 1: things that Dean says. But basically, Dean says, I didn't
- 16:42Speaker 1: have the control in my hand. But we he says,
- 16:44Speaker 1: we could all see it coming and everybody was telling
- 16:46Speaker 1: Matthew to get out of the way. That's why I
- 16:48Speaker 1: would have liked the audio. Let's yeah, showcase, let's hear.
- 16:51Speaker 1: But we don't have that, and matt and uh Gina
- 16:53Speaker 1: doesn't asked for it, so I don't know you have it.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I don't know. And so Judge Gino, boy, are you ready?
- 17:02Speaker 1: Judge Gino says, I love Leonardo DiCaprio's Post and Titanic,
- 17:07Speaker 1: which the crowd applause. I shout out to Leo. Everybody,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I love Leonardo DiCaprio's Post and Titanic.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, Gino, we all do shut out.
- 17:25Speaker 1: But then he says this line. Are you ready for this?
- 17:27Speaker 1: I'm ready, he says. But there weren't any drones out there.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Then he says, Matthew ended up with a Titanic type
- 17:36Speaker 1: of injury. You think somebody's right? He no, he did not.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Gino's script form. That's that's such a stretch of really
- 17:44Speaker 1: bad line. Matthew says, yes, Titanic type injury. He says,
- 17:50Speaker 1: I uh fell and immediately heard my arm snap. But
- 17:55Speaker 1: the rotator cuff is the worst injury of them all
- 17:59Speaker 1: because it's kept out of work. He's missed five months
- 18:01Speaker 1: of work now he doesn't say, but he says he
- 18:04Speaker 1: works paycheck to paycheck, hasn't been able to work, and
- 18:06Speaker 1: he still has his cast on. Uh. It's like, you know,
- 18:10Speaker 1: a whole whole unit. Uh. So Dean says, we've repeatedly
- 18:14Speaker 1: told Matthew to move. He just didn't move. Up. He's up.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So Dean brought the drone so that he can show
- 18:25Speaker 1: how to operate it. And I cannot accurately portray how
- 18:31Speaker 1: captivated Judge Gino was by this drone. The dude's never
- 18:34Speaker 1: seen a drop before. He's just like mouth, He's just
- 18:38Speaker 1: so blown away by this drone. It looked good. It
- 18:43Speaker 1: looked hd to me. He's like, when you hit the
- 18:46Speaker 1: home button, it is, you know, meant to come towards
- 18:50Speaker 1: you and land right next to you. Yeah, okay, that's
- 18:53Speaker 1: the whole point of it. So when I hit the
- 18:54Speaker 1: home button, it came towards me and Matthew. He's going
- 18:58Speaker 1: to give Matthew some money. I already know it. Matthew
- 19:01Speaker 1: was in the way of the drone and we all
- 19:06Speaker 1: warned him and and he didn't get down. Dean brings
- 19:09Speaker 1: a witness named Kayla, who is a part of the
- 19:11Speaker 1: group and says, Matthew he is always trying to do
- 19:14Speaker 1: riskier things and everybody else he's that guy, you know
- 19:16Speaker 1: who's always trying to push the envelope a little bit.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And she is another person who just says, we all
- 19:22Speaker 1: saw it coming with plenty of warning, and he didn't
- 19:25Speaker 1: try to move. Matthew's point is this, Matthew says, Dean,
- 19:30Speaker 1: you should have been You should have had your hands
- 19:33Speaker 1: on the controller at all time. If you had your
- 19:34Speaker 1: hands on the controller at all time, this wouldn't have happened.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You know, I wasn't able that I didn't have enough
- 19:40Speaker 1: time to move. This hit me and it's kept me
- 19:42Speaker 1: out of work. And Judge Gene is right toable. So
- 19:45Speaker 1: here's my thing is, remember what he's got to prove.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I know fifty Dean is responsible for the maneuvering of
- 19:51Speaker 1: his drone. He is.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I do think that there is fault there, but no
- 20:00Speaker 2: no one told Matthew to go get up on top
- 20:02Speaker 2: of a higher rock than the rest of the group.
- 20:04Speaker 2: In fact, we have evidence, we have someone who's come
- 20:07Speaker 2: in the courtroom and say that says, Matthew's always doing
- 20:10Speaker 2: stuff he's not supposed to do. So I would say
- 20:14Speaker 2: that Dean is responsible to that drone, which is maybe
- 20:16Speaker 2: twenty five percent of this injury, not the burden of
- 20:19Speaker 2: proof at fifty one, he should get nothing. What's Gino
- 20:22Speaker 2: gonna do. Gino's gonna go fifty one percent Dean's fault.
- 20:26Speaker 2: He's gonna award him out of eight eighty nine thous
- 20:29Speaker 2: is that what he says?
- 20:30Speaker 1: Eight nine thou He's gonna award him fifty k. Yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 1: So I've always said this when Gino, when you think
- 20:37Speaker 1: Geno's Gonnaziggy's as, I have yet to be able to
- 20:40Speaker 1: figure out what Justent is gonna do. So, Judge Gino
- 20:43Speaker 1: is actually gonna side with you. Surprise surprising to me.
- 20:47Speaker 1: He says, Dean, the drone belongs to you. It's your responsibility,
- 20:51Speaker 1: regardless of if you have the controls or not. Uh,
- 20:53Speaker 1: it doesn't matter if that's if you have the home
- 20:55Speaker 1: button or whatever. It's it's your responsibility. But Matthew, the
- 20:57Speaker 1: law also has something called the last clear chance.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Last clear chances, which is about it.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yes, you had a clear last chance to move and
- 21:08Speaker 1: you didn't. You didn't move, and so you are both
- 21:12Speaker 1: at fault fifty to fifty, which means that Matthew loses.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I fully anticipated for Judge Gina
- 21:20Speaker 1: to say you, you know, Dean, you trusted the home
- 21:25Speaker 1: button instead of controlling it yourself. And so because of that,
- 21:28Speaker 1: I thought he was going to gi him money to Uh,
- 21:31Speaker 1: Matthew's a dufus, Matthews and it's clear and that's that's tough.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And sometimes dufus is like to do dumb things. Yeah,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and I do think that this is Matthew's fault, but uh,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I was very surprised. I'm thrilled Gino got it right
- 21:45Speaker 1: for once. He never gets it right, so good for him.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I just and I never see it coming. The last
- 21:50Speaker 1: clear chance. It is your last clear chance. That rule
- 21:53Speaker 1: we know, the rule, which I feel likes applied to
- 21:56Speaker 1: cases in the past that he just hasn't cared about.
- 21:58Speaker 1: That last clear chance is in personal entry courts. Almost
- 22:02Speaker 1: all was coming at your head, last clear chance to move,
- 22:05Speaker 1: last clear chance, balloons just to ballon Mama Balloon, how
- 22:10Speaker 1: dare sorry those stupid everybody? And the good news We're
- 22:14Speaker 1: coming back next Yeah we are. I think it's gonna
- 22:15Speaker 1: be a lot of funs, so come on back until then, All.
