- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: We have Bubba in the house, the farmer.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: And we've got current boys.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is the 2025 Bowman Chrome special edition sports car and CEO release episode.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to talk in all about this upcoming release here and ready to dive in.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody have anything to share, exciting of the week, any major events occurrences?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely do.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm leaving in the morning to go to New Mexico, baby.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_03]: Not Mexico, I'm not going to do a scouting trip.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_03]: Only thing I'm scouting is leaving the morning.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm excited about that.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gone for a week, but I'm super excited about it.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: Nice weather out there.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_03]: Excited to get up at Atlanta's 90 degrees and dry up here right now.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to the mountains in New Mexico right below the Colorado border and excited about some cooler temperatures and excited about some playoff baseball.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited that you're going away during Bowman Chrome release week.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_04]: I know that you know what that means.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_04]: Kurn, I have people.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_04]: I have people, I have people.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: Great, let's get my buyers ready.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: My buyers don't worry.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're all wait.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're all wait.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: Bubba's got it, and Bubba's got it lit.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be bow hunting elk into Mexico while scooping up every red simultaneously.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: You better believe it.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think I'm sleeping on a release?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_03]: You, you, you, you, uh, you think otherwise.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: Farm will be farming.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I love it.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: Kurn, are you excited?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Is this like Christmas time for you?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how are you feeling?
- 2:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm more excited when Bowman comes out and when for draft like I like Bowman chrome, but it's just it's harder for me to get excited and we'll dive into the checklist, but it's harder for me to get excited more and more for these international guys because it is the most is the riskiest riskiest riskiest product of the year being that, you know,
- 2:43[SPEAKER_04]: 38% of the auto checklist is, you know, have only played in the DSL.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_04]: So it's harder because we've all gotten burned here and I think a lot of the times that I've gotten burned have been on DSL guys.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_04]: So, but I am excited for the new release.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited to rip and not have to rip through any paper.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_04]: So that's good.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_04]: What about you, Matt?
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know how much of it's like a Taylor Swift fan you are.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: So like when her new album comes out, you know what I mean?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I'm so excited about the new album, but it can't beat 1989.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Is it that same kind of feeling?
- 3:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, same feeling.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: You got it.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_04]: I did see Taylor Swift this past weekend though.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_04]: I was up close and personal with her at the wax museum, the Madam two sons in New York City like her wax version or like the real yes her wax version.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_04]: So I saw what it was like to stay her in the eye and ask her if Travis Kelsey was good in bed.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what do you answer with?
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's one of what the answer was man.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: We are we're good here at Hamhouse, man It's still like, you know, still kind of getting adjusted to the new season But all is why I'm actually looking forward to this release probably more so than I have any release of recent time Because I feel a little bit more free going into this release and I'm not like that
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: I got some cash, the pressure's off, you know, I'm not a big international guy, so maybe while y'all are all focused over here on the new shiny chrome, I might slide back in and pick up some Walker Jenkins or, you know, my slide back in and pick up some stuff.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, you know, so y'all have fun.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just here for the party.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well, you know, I was in the Dominican Republic, you remember six months ago.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_04]: So I flew out, arm out there, and we did some scouting.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, we've got our sleepers that public doesn't even know about.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's a lot there's teclists is huge.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_04]: There's not there's a lot of hidden names Last guy on the checklist.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_04]: You don't even know this guy's a rising star.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_04]: They just added him.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: Or what's up with you buddy?
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing well.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm doing well.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm trying to find some cash because I just bought the entire season.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm in this weird spot where I I
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: Don't really want to sell anything, but I want to be able to buy in the off season.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm trying to figure out what I should sell.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: And most of the time I just bug current and just say, but should I sell this yet?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, what do you think he's going to be?
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I say, I think he's going to be this.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: No, probably not.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm trying to find cash.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm digging around a little bit of finding some old cards here, but it's been fun in that regard.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: The perfect example of mechanical, right?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like I have so many of his and
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a rookie of the year candidate next year.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't sell it.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I've just been holding on to that, digging around, and finding some cards that I kind of forgot about and have been selling that, which is nice.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then, you know, I think the all the 2024 draft I ripped and I have so many just base chrome, put away here that it's kind of been a nice rainy day thing, going through and it's like, oh, well, I've got 50 patents, holy base cards.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I might as well put those together and sell them on, you know, on eBay, but, you know,
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of in the the past time for now.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: It adds up and all of the sudden, you know, you can you can buy yourself a, you know, an auto or two, I did it with with Kurt's when he really, really heated up now.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of wishing I held even the crumbs, but it is kind of a fun thing, especially with how good the 2024 classes become that all of those base cards man, I sit around and go through it, you got like 10 of a handful of different guys in that class right now get a few bucks on eBay putting those together is a lot.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a great point you make and that's what's beautiful about Bowman that is not true in the rest of the hobby is if you get in a Bowman chrome first of a guy and he hits a year or two years three years later, even those base crumbs, you know the mean are 10 15 20 25 dollars a pop depending upon the player and if you stashed the right guys and you have that kind of inventory man, that's an easy way to get some liquidity to get back into the next product.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: a stack this deep of first Crohn's of whatever player it is.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Those can pay off in the long run.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely good.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's like you're mining for gold.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: And just like, oh, I got another.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, here's a refresher.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: And so I'm just fine.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like your problem.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: You're ripping again because I don't want to add.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_04]: So this is the problem with with like ripping at least for me, right?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_04]: Like I've been ripping a ton of 24 draft at this like last couple of weeks.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_04]: And I was actually just talking to Poland,
- 7:04[SPEAKER_04]: He knew I was I've been ripping.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_04]: He's like I'll buy all of your paper and And crumbs and I'll give you like you know $300 a box or whatever and I was like well There's a problem.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_04]: I threw out all my paper.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_04]: He's like you threw out every paper like even Connor and even like like everybody I was like yeah, he's like dude.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_04]: They're selling for like, you know
- 7:24[SPEAKER_04]: Money in a PSA 10 and it's having all the shit around like I threw it out I have said here with a big garbage kit I'm throwing stuff out.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_04]: It's like if I had like if I had the space and like You know when it's system sitting here like sorting that stuff for me like keep it But like at release you don't know who's gonna be I mean like you didn't know Connor was gonna be caught like this You know there was some there were some questionable aspects of his game the hit tool but like had I know and I would have kept all those
- 7:51[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's still no excuse for me throwing them away now, knowing, but other than sheer space and laziness and not, you know, but like that's how you capitalize.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that's why I can't rip wax.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like I literally can't rip wax because I sit here and look at all these cards that are these base cards.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I know they have value.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so to just move on from them, like, makes me, I can't process that in my brain.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like I get how you do that.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that's fine.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: But like that's why I can't rip wax.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: I can't have fun with it.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm like, what do we do with all this?
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: And when the boys won't buy a box, I'm like, you're not going to capitalize on getting another box until you sell off these whatever.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then they go, okay, well, we don't want to buy a box because we don't want to mess with it.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, okay, now we've reached a good point.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: So here's what I told Paul and I go the next time I get a case, or two, or three, or 20.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: Come to the office with me, sit here next to me and put it in a box, organize it, and buy what you want.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_04]: Like, buy all that stuff.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, so you want me to be your cleaning lady.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_04]: So like, yeah.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_04]: precisely.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_03]: Ask Paul on about his cleaning lady, by the way, that's another great story.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: Have you ever heard that story?
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'll have to ask him about that.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: Did he teach George Castanza her?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, you need that.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_03]: You just need to ask him.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's okay.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: So boys, diving into this 25 Chrome release got RM here.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: The baseball knowledge is going to be in full effect.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk first about how we approach a new release, like just different strategies, different thoughts and let's kind of go round table real quick and keep it short, you know, and then we'll dive into this product compared to previous products.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll go into players specific.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So above how do you approach a new release?
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think it's I think like we talked about I think two episodes ago it changes every release and to me I mean I can come in and say right now I think I'm going to do one thing, but it's really going to be what the market does here if the market is all in and prices are out the roof and guys I'm just not convicted in.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to pivot, you know, and I'll sit back and wait and I'll wait for my opportunities and pick my spots.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: If I feel like it's the opposite.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_03]: And if I feel like okay for an example, let's say there's a guy that I'm going to start off the list with here today, Nate George.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, then I like and I like Nate George.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_03]: a little bit of smile there.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so Nate George is sitting there and I can pick up a Nate George blue for $250.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think Nate George down the lines, blues are going to be worth a thousand dollars, then I'm going to buy it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think that's where I'm at with this release.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have really any of these guys like some past releases outside of maybe one or two guys that I'm really targeting.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_03]: There's a handful of guys I'm like, you know, what a really, really
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: And so I'm kind of in your camp right now, ham where I think that my eyes are on the whole baseball scene right now.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_03]: My eyes are on what's February and March going to look like.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm looking at targeting those guys.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_03]: And this release, I'm just going to look for value opportunities.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: And not to mention for the road to 100,000 here, when guys are going low, that is the opportunity on new releases.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_03]: is being by your computer, being ready to buy now, when some guy lists something that he doesn't know he has, and you just buy it for 50% of the value.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_03]: I need to run.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: I always was in the mindset of like, it's always going to be overpriced right at release.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that a lot of them are, but what I've learned now is there's also some really good buying opportunities, and I didn't really know that, so I'd always just wait.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'd see some of the sales and be like, wait, I think this guy's going to be really good.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and I should have grabbed that.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I am excited about that side of it, because I think I'm going to have the same approach.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: There's a few players that, you know, we'll talk about that.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think our, you know, maybe tier two guys that aren't the number number one chase.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, who knows what somebody might list it for on a buy it?
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_04]: They're turned.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, much.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_04]: So my strategy is similar to Gary.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think you nailed it on the head, Gary.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_04]: I have to react to the market it changes by release like I'll react to how the market reacts and my plan will change like I have a few targeted guys that I I say I really like but like it's kind of like everybody else likes them as well I mean there's one that will that will talk about and I I really like him because I'm a mess fan alien pania but again it doesn't mean that I'm just going to go out and buy everything it's like I need to see how the market reacts but.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think with a new release, I'm kind of always sitting there on eBay and I'm sorting by newly listed in my search and and I'll just refresh and I kind of have an idea of no matter where, you know, matter what people are paying.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not even paying attention to cops to be honest with you.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_04]: If I like the guy and I'm making a comparable play of where I think this guy's future market lies, if the price looks good to me, I'm buying the card.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't necessarily matter what
- 12:43[SPEAKER_04]: You know, if it's a gold and a gold just did a thousand bucks, is that high is it low who the hell knows, but if if if I didn't even see that it's if I compare it to a guy that I think he's going to his market could be like or will be like then I'm I'm going to jump on it whether it's 1500 dollars or it's 800 dollars and those low numbered cards I'll keep my eye out for because those don't come up very often and you don't know again we talk about this all the time you don't know with another one will even be.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_04]: hit you know so you kind of got to jump on that you know for those buying base autos out there like that's where i feel like you kind of got to
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: maybe sit back a little bit.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_04]: This release in particular is known for high price points at the start.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_04]: And then two weeks later, just completely dropping.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we saw it in 2324 with Ethan Salis that releases base autos.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_04]: We're doing 500 bucks.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_04]: And two weeks later, they were doing 275 bucks.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, even with Bassaya, it was base autos that released for doing 220.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_04]: two weeks later, as base audits are doing 115 bucks, you know, Leo DeVry last year, 365 or at least down to 162 weeks later.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_04]: Meal Morales, 165 down to 65 bucks, two weeks later.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_04]: Like, no matter really, like, the variance could be smaller for
- 14:02[SPEAKER_04]: a guy that's not in number one or number two chase like Eduardo Taip was cheap to begin with at 55 bucks for a base auto early, but it only went down to, you know, 42, 43 bucks two weeks later.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_04]: Those are the kind of guys that are targeting, but then the higher the lower number cards with those guys because they are under value.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: If that makes sense.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun in the gold, you know, within the market breakdown.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, again, our philosophy, like it's a funny, like, y'all, you don't want your rip wax, like you guys don't like to have fun, like it's a personality thing about how my brain works about the organization around that and having a
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: of butt load of cards to deal with.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we've just become kind of singles snipers, you know?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: And just really understanding the rarity of certain parallels and just grabbing those parallels when the opportunity presents itself.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Because again, at the end of the day, like, you know, here's a perfect example.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is Brody Hopkins True Orange, right?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I got that at a local card show.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I walked up to the table and the guy had a true orange of Brody Hopkins and I was like you do 50 bucks for that.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, yep, and I'm like, okay, no, it's an orange.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's a true orange.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: And so again, when you can get true oranges, you know, reds and, you know, golds and stuff, even if these guys are not top tier, you're going to probably have a strong opportunity.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of where our focus is looking for the specific parallels.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, this hobby and Bowman in particular is built on impulses and hype, right?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_04]: So, a release like this can be really dangerous for people with our personality.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I say, hour, meaning like the people that like to gamble and like to buy on impulse, because you could get real dangerous because you're trying to you're gambling with guys that are extremely risky.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_04]: This year's, this year's releases,
- 15:58[SPEAKER_04]: You know, there's maybe a hundred and eight prospect autos and it's of the last since 2023 release like it's the highest percentage of players that have autos that only have DSL experience know in 2022 was like 15% or something and 23 is around the same then it jumped up in 24 to like
- 16:18[SPEAKER_04]: You know, low 30s and now it's in the high 30s percentage wise of players that only have DSL experience.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_04]: So that just means that it's it's it's more of a risky play.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, those of us with that have an impulse control.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_04]: It's important to.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_04]: have a plan, try to stick to it and be patient.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think it's a lot of us want to try to be first to market, first to get this card, first to have the true orange or the true gold and first to grade it and first to have the 10 and then first to put it on eBay.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_04]: And there is
- 16:50[SPEAKER_04]: There is an advantage to that a hundred percent the first person to I mean this is Bowman but to get the Hacus mod a true gold on on great it as a 10 you know they got that premium for it for sure so there is something to it but if you don't get that 10 and you're paying a premium and yet at at release like it's a dangerous game so you got to be very careful
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: can turn quickly.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: Good disclaimers and good.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: Good wisdom there.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: The arm as we dive into the product here, you know, you're kind of our resident baseball expert about the players and stuff.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: How do you think this product as a whole kind of matches up against, you know, 23 Chrome, 24 Chrome and previous releases?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny because you know, current brings up a good point on the DSL side of things where there's a few more guys down there and you think that kind of imply that the floor is a bit lower, but at least just anecdotally it feels like this product has a little bit more depth to it where there's more of the tier two and tier three guys that I wouldn't be pissed.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: pulling where I think there's a lot of times when the previous Bowman crumbs are just too much area to miss and by miss it just mean like those tier zero guys where it's just okay well this guy's not going anywhere I mean I've so many Bowman chrome autos in my you know my closet that even like I pulled it not that long after at least let's say like six months after and it's players that just people did their research on and realize that okay this guy's probably not going anywhere and it almost wasn't even worth the effort of selling it on eBay for for eight bucks.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: like that, not swear, there's going to be guys like that in this product, sure.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: But I think there's a good balance of, I think instead of having a few extra of those guys, I like the way that it's been balanced out with, you know, an RJ Shrek, let's say, who, maybe it was definitely not a chase, but he's a guy that's up in AAA with the blue jays.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, well, we'll make it to the big leagues and has a chance to be a decent big
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'd way rather miss quote unquote with those guys and look forward to something then a guy that I mean there's one example of that in the product I was just looking at Carlos Severus with the nationals.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's sitting 153 this year with a 454 OPS as a 20 year old in low way.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: You pull that card, you might as well have pulled nothing and I really ignore offense to Carlos Severus.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: I hope he gets going and his career as is fruitful
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I think there's a little bit less of that in this product this year, which is encouraging, but maybe not quite as much of the Leo de Vries type of hype at the time.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: That said, I mean, we'll talk about the players in the tears.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: All of a sudden, Randy Oradrieg is, a lot of people are starting to talk about him as it's top 20 prospect.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anybody would say, Ellie and Pania doesn't have that potential as well.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I think in terms of the established prospect stardom and establishes the wrong word, but at least just the hype is established.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: You don't white have that at the top of this product.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's kind of the given to you.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know that we're going to have a $500 base auto in this product to see it more of like we're going to have a lot of like low $100 autos maybe that's a good day 100 no it's not it's not a bad thing in this product.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_04]: As far as tier one goes, I mean, you mentioned like, like, brought you over to read, he's at least, I don't want to say proven, right?
- 20:08[SPEAKER_04]: But he's in the States at least, right?
- 20:10[SPEAKER_04]: And he's had success in the States, if it can success.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_04]: So like he's probably one of the, he's gonna be one of the most expensive, if not the most, he's at least not as risky in my eyes, right?
- 20:20[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_04]: So who do tier one guys in addition to him?
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny because like he's the least risky bad.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, some of the things that he's doing his age is ridiculous and you know, you talk about the ability to pull the ball in the air.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's usually going to be one of the clearest indicators of just clean mechanics and he's doing that as well as anybody, you know, in the lower miners and hitting a lot of home runs down here in the Florida State league where the ball does not fly and the ball parks are big.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that was a really impressive part of it, but the thing is he's a catcher so he's got a really hit and I think he really can hit but in terms of just the bad at ball data I know some some evaluators and people I've talked to of you know compared to him to some of the most elite you know 18 year old prospects we've seen in recent years and how can't you like it's what he's been doing so that's that's a guy that I think
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: is the safest from the the bats were looking at given what he's already done and getting up to high a already as an 18 year old.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm excited about Josh Warganzallus of the San Francisco Giants and of course Rodriguez was with the Cardinals.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: But Josh Warganzallus because he's got that positional intrigued too.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I know people don't love chasing catchers like Rodriguez is less as a short stop.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: Got a decent chance to stick there.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: I had a really good year and
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: very young like I think either just turning 18 or hasn't even turned 18 yet and the giant so probably push him a little bit more quickly than you know some other organizations would.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's a guy that you got to be really excited about.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: Ely and Pania is another tier one guy of course.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: He had a historically bad start to his career.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then, I mean, from that point onward was absolutely ridiculous.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's final 30 games of the DSL for the match.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_02]: He had a thousand 21 OPS and he hit five homers and the 13 extra base hits.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: The then treat with him, he's still 17 crazy.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: And real quick, I just want to give a, um, so I pulled something up on eBay and I eBay X and it's a 30 player case break, okay, for this coming up product and they're starting to sell slots.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to create a price point on a 30 K case break for the player to discuss Iranian Piniah, it's 2600.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_04]: What is the breakdown of the skews here, do you know that 30 case or is it like the light mix with hobby or does it say?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in Chrome breakers delight only.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so it's that's the cheaper product, too.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: 30 cases.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: And Reneo Rodriguez is 3200.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: So based on the price point of the breakers delight case here on X, Rodriguez is tier one, chase number one, Gonzales would be tier one, chase number two.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then alien opinion would be tier one, chase number three.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: What's below that those guys are your top or your top chases in as far as price point right below that like Interestingly enough Nick Kurtz has an auto in this product and his price point is similar keep that up for if you don't mind and then once we get into the tier 2's and tier 3's of r I'm so are you're saying alien opinion what intrigues you about him.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: I want to hear more on that
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: The stench of the season and I think this is a guy that, you know, it's so hard when you're evaluating international free agents, of course, but when I was getting as many looks as I can video wise, I mean it was one of the more advanced swings, it's why I was kind of shocked how much he struggled out of the gate.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was more of just a I'm
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: mental thing in a hurdle there and then you got comfortable and clearly showed it.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: But this is exciting power potential.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: I was a left-handed hitter in a big market with the hype that I think will pick up pretty quickly because he was one of the biggest ticket IFA guys and then I mean the brewers have historically done a great job on that front and remember David Stern's is now over there in New York and I know he was really excited about this signing.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's a guy that's going to be prioritized for them without a doubt, especially at that investment.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_02]: The other guy that I'm very curious about his price on the case because I think he's one of those that if it's not expensive yet We'll get expensive soon.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: I hope I'm saying his name right, but Juni Kerr Kaseris.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's like a cleaver going to end up yet probably a borderline top 100 guy And he's another one where like Kaseris.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's doing it state side like he's in low a and he bought him in a 10 case or actually really cheap
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, there's a good one because I would say he's on par with these other guys in terms of the bad about data and things like that, I mean he'd get did it in low way.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: I know the numbers on the surface may not imply it's on a power, but at 17 years old for the entirety of the season.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's where you look at the EVs.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: That what's the price by it?
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what is the expense of guys you don't want him?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's just too If that's the most expensive one, no, he's 1600 bucks.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so he said a phenomenal year if you kept him on the complex like a lot of the other 17 year olds all year I think the numbers would have been
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: pretty darn ridiculous.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you look through the first 40 games when he was on the complex.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: It was like an OPS over 900.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: Then they threw him into L.A.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, he struggled like any 17 year old one.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think that kind of brought down some of the hype, which is silly, because that's an advantage for him.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to go and repeat L.A.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: next year.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: And probably have a really good year.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: The EVs are ridiculous.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's already in almost 110 plus miles per hour.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, 17 years old.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's a guy.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_04]: I really, I really like because he's young and he's not.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_04]: He's already stateside, you know?
- 25:33[SPEAKER_04]: Whether it's success or not, he's stateside.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_04]: He's made that adjustment.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_04]: That's transition.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I feel like there's a cultural shock when it, when these guys come from the asshole to this.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's not just playing in a different league.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_04]: It's coming to a different country and learning a different language and being around.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: different environment and this guy and then the shock to getting to full season ball two once you're off the complex at least you're like it's summer camp at the complex like you have supervisors a lot of people looking over you then low-way you're on your own and and that's why i think just the fact that he got the taste of that is huge going in an next year i think ease of ease of breakout okay so so we got
- 26:14[SPEAKER_04]: And then like, do your one kind of guys or is there another?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then the one that I think is probably already expensive.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'd imagine Matt and I'm curious what the prices are.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: Jing's then co from the Dodgers out the order.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I've already seen him ranked probably too highly in some other outlets.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think it'd be surprised that I don't know if people are really on him.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: I feel I always figure that any Dodgers and automatically.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_04]: And would you know that people are considering him a chase?
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think you have to get your way.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sleeper.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, his price point, his price point is a tier one price point.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, his price point and his 30 casers, 1900.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: And what's interesting is I'm curious to hear, uh, arm break it down more, because there's two guys whose prices are higher than Juniker, who you haven't mentioned yet.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: They're really, there's one, there's one other that I feel really good about in terms of, you know, that's all relative here.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like, but Diego
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's another guy that I really like in this product.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Lorkey Rodriguez.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: Nope.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: So Marco Dintus.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Nope from a price point.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: If you go based off of the story, if you're going to be a tar on more, you don't tell me that.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Rodriguez.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: I have him in a tier 2, but I was actually, I have a whole thing about him because I should have figured he'd be in a tier 1.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: The hype is there like crazy.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: This hobby has learned and I know you guys already know is obsessed with power and understandably so this so is the game.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: When you've got a DSL got that's walking 6% of the time.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: They don't they don't post strike there.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: They throw all fastballs and none of them are strikes.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: He walks six percent of the time now A lot of video came out of this guy hitting rockets, and I mean he has some of the best raw power We've seen out of the DSL in a very long time, but I think he's a candidate to come state side and just struggle He's almost a 40 percent chase rate in the DSL again pretty hard to
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: And if there's a little bit more swing and miss there, he could get, well, that's just a guy I'm staying away from.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm happy, like, if he hits 30 home runs and it works out from great, you know, like that's, that's fine.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: But in an already extremely volatile product, I don't know if I want, maybe be most volatile player in it.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: Unless it's just a little bit here and there, if you got the price point, but I figured his price point wouldn't be great, given that he's a center field or hit and balls, harder than anybody else in this product.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but what you got no nothing just curious on the Nate Jorsing I mentioned earlier smile you've said nothing about him arm where it was he fit he's a guy that's already state side who's already batten almost 340 who stole 50 bags that's a smile because of the speed.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: I, I was, that's why I smiled as it goes.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: Gary's got his speed guys.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Probably the fastest one of the fastest if not the fastest guy in the product.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why I was laughing.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm like, Gary loves his speed.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: I put the top of tier two for me.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a way he could easily play his way.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: And it's here one for me.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's just one of those guys that I think the mechanics.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm interested to see if it works a little bit more at double a, but he's just continues to rank.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's hard to deny that.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: efficient on the base paths.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you have the stolen bases versus caught stealing in front of you.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of crazy.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: But in terms of the numbers, it's been really ridiculous.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I think there's a lot more to unlock because the fact that with his mechanics, he was a multi-sport athlete in high school.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: And he kind of looks like it when he plays a looks like a football player playing baseball.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that he's striking out 17% of the time with aggressive
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know, assignments at 18 slash 19 years old is really encouraging.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: I just, I'd like to see him be able to pull the ball in the air a little bit more.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: There's some just rawness to his game, but I think the fact that he's doing what he's doing with the rawness to his game is really exciting.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a, he's a very fun chase.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just kind of mentally preparing for just a, I guess, recalibration next year, which is fine because he'll be 19 for the start of the scene.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: So if he struggles a little bit in double A, that's totally fine.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: But he's way ahead of his peers.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think many people are going to be on him because he was a 16th round pick, you know, just a year ago.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: And so obviously, I mean, came right out of high school, you know, I mean, that's what's impressive about this kid to me.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: As a woman, right out of high, he was on like a baseball specialist, you know, and that's that's the other part that I think really stands out.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's a pretty built guy.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's a pretty stout guy.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's not, you know, I mean, he's just a pretty, he's like you said he's an athlete.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: It was like a lineback.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think he's a fun chase and the Orioles do a really good job with the swing mechanics side of things if he starts pulling the ball in the air more all the sudden he could be he could be a huge Don't break out guy in this product so if you're chasing like tools and upside I mean he's as easy as good of an example.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: So price point was he's sitting at 1800 in that same case break.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: So there's not a lot of variance.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're clear cut, you know, Randy L. Rodriguez at 3200.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then you got two guys at 27 and 2600.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then it drops off pretty substantially.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: And you got the two two K to like 1500.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: And there's a big chunk we mentioned most of those guys.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: Here's a question about Nate George.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's in Baltimore, right?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Baltimore has vans honey cut that they picked up from the University North Carolina.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: He was a pick, you know, he's in the mix.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: You've got Enrique Bradfield, right, who's centerfield in the mix.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you have a team like that, who's got young talent and there's like three deep at that position.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like is it really worthwhile chasing the guy who's that deep in the deaf chart?
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's funny because I think baseball when it comes to when it comes to to sports in general might be the the best like meritocracy where the guys can surpass guys really quickly.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: So if you really believe in them, like Nate George, I know within the Orioles organization is already elevated ahead of Antony cut with how poorly Vansony cut performed this year.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now, Enrique Bradfield Jr.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: is definitely ahead because he's already in Triple A, but he's been heard a bunch.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's one of those things where if you hit, like they're going to figure it out and find a spot for you.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, looking to be versus here with the Orioles going bevers was kind of an afterthought and especially with the young core.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: guys get up there, don't hit, and then Beavers made some adjustments and has been fantastic this year.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: It gets up and now he's carved out himself a role going in an exterior that I think he could be, you know, every day player for them in the outfield is on an opening day and he is right now.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Could you imagine somebody making that case, you know, a year or two ago that what about cursed ad?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: What about this guy?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: What about that guy?
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: And here he is.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I think, yes, it's something to think about, but ultimately, they just seem to work that those things have a way of working themselves out.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: one way or another.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: And even if a guy's a little bit blocked, like, and there's some examples, especially with the Orioles, what guys have been blocked and has been frustrating.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, I think I'd rather be there than miss out on a guy that I really believe that.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_03]: Farham, I know you don't love combs, but I'm going to give you one here.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_03]: Nate George is Max Clark without the camera crew.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like that one.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: Max Clark without the camera crew.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: Max Clark.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_03]: Max Clark.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: Max Clark.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: Less drip.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: Athleticism out the Wazoo.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_03]: Got some pop.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: Not a not the crazy pop, but tons of steels.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: That kind of yeah.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: So the thing about Clark is he has become one of the better bat-to-ball and approach guys in the minor leagues.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: That said, Clark is a year old and a half older now.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: So George has time to get there.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's similar skill set for sure.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: And when Clark was 19, his mechanics needed work.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: He'd tell you that himself.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: And this going into the season really cleaned it up.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: So like, Nate George could do the same thing and then make the same kind of leap.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly I don't hate that.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't hate it, but it would be a he needs to make that leap that that Clark made.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think the thing that I underestimated about Max is a lot more of a cerebral hitter and player than I thought and like really leaned into the approach and his sling mechanics and I think that's been a big reason why he's turned into the player that he has this year.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't see why George doesn't have the same baseline skillset.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_04]: But so are I'm so you're you're you're you're
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: You're one guys for our listeners out there buying into breaks and everything where you there's going to be different pricing structures for different breaks for different skews and all that your teams would be the meds your team to be the meds the giants the cardinals and the guardians is that right those four and it.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: And then I really liked Diego to learn.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then I really liked Diego to learn.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think as a player, he's right on par with those guys for what that's worth.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then the Dodgers.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: Just because I think co has some more potential, but I honestly would put him right in between, like tier two and tier one.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly threw him in there because I figured with his prospect rankings and with what I've seen from, you know, just the hype around him a little bit that he'd be in that same boat.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's Cardinals, Giants, Guardians, Metz and then, the Braves are probably that sneaky tier one for me, because I think Tornas is good as those guys.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_03]: Well, not to mention for the braves.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: They have John Gill as well.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think people sleep on John Gill.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_03]: He's already in double a at 19 years old for the braves with huge, huge speed, but he's got some pop.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: And he continues to show more pop the older he gets.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_03]: I think John Gill could be a sleeper.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think you could see John Gill in Atlanta in two or three years at 21, 22 years old.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and that exactly, and maybe that's not your primary target.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's nice.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: I always love having that that safety blanket, right?
- 35:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that would have to be yours in 24-Draft with Blake Burke and Braille and Payne, you know, and it was.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: And Burke is ball and man, Burke is awesome.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but yeah, I think that's a great shout, Gary, because he's been head on aggressive assignments, and you know the braves will push guys that look like they can, they can handle that.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_04]: So other top other moving down to like a tier two, who do you have as chases, sleepers,
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of Brewers, like, just to sell it, this guy might be as high floor as just about anybody you've got in Marko.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: Marko Dengis.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: And Marco, I know that the Brewers love him.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of, like, bat speed, he's among the best in the organization.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think he doesn't have as much chunks.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't a top, top, round pick.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: And he's been on some of the same teams as, you know, Pania and Mada, and he's older, right?
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think you took some of those numbers
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: low way with a grain of salt but just just look at the numbers and look at if you can see the data which that's what I'm here for like it's some of the best hard hit rates in the org like he hits the living crap out of the ball and he's a catcher but I think the fact that he could be in every day catcher with 20 plus homer pop and
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a really fun player when you watch him offensively.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot to like there and I still think there's more power to tap into.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: So the fact and he's put up great numbers at high A as well.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is a guy that the brewer's feel really good about and I think it's just going to be underrated in the product.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_04]: And just to just to note, the brewers do have five autos in the product.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_04]: All hitters, no pitchers.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_04]: So brewers could be good value there when they're going to be a great one.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_04]: of Sennelon Christopher Acosta and Jose Anderson.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, but if you look, chances are you'll probably hit a brewer or if you're buying it.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so if you get a good value, you know, if you don't get dinges, there's other options there as well moving on brewers, who else on and from a tier two perspective, what about let's talk about the marlins here.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_04]: Do you have a lot to do?
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're also going to go.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: I like I like the Marlon's balance because you get Andrew Salas who's obviously brother at Ethan Salas.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: There's it's going to be a process he's played at 16 years old basically in low way.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: He turned 17 in March and then was sent straight to low A. So the numbers aren't very good.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean it was kind of I think a prerequisite from his father was like, if you sign my son, he needs to go straight to low A. And so that's what he did.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: That had worked out real well for his brother.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: No, it didn't, but this is a good player.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: And anyhow, we'll see how it all goes and how it all works out, but it's still a player that I think is exciting to add here.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: He just, he looks like a sophomore in high school, like playing against college kids.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it looks like, you know, in low-way and sometimes grown met.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it'll be a process for him, but I still think he's a good player and has a lot of,
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: you know, interesting ingredients to his game.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_02]: And then I know people don't love pictures, but we're talking about it.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like pictures are are becoming more and more intriguing.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think in in the the hobby, Kevin the Frank.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: So the Marlins have invested a lot of money into their DSL academy and they're scouting and everything there.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: And they've got several guys down there throwing 100 miles an hour and Kevin the Frank is one of them.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's he average 97.5 miles per hour with his
- 38:55[SPEAKER_04]: He's six, two, and he's now in Tommy, John, yeah.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so, but, damn it.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: Can you understand?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he throws absolute fuel, and then has an assy slider.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I know the Marlons are really, really excited about this, getting someone that could definitely move quickly.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I mentioned an exciting, you know, high octane arm to add there with the, with the Marlons spot.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think he's the best picture in the product?
- 39:19[SPEAKER_04]: Who is the best picture in the product?
- 39:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think we want to look questions.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think technically, Cam Schlittler would be that because he looks like he could be a legitimate, you know, number two starter in the big leagues if it all works out.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of prospect, Alejandro Rosario, who is coming back from Tommy John surgery from the Texas Rangers, he's one of my favorite pictures in minor league baseball.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: And so the fact that you already have him, you know, having undergone that Tommy John surgery and he's coming back from it, assuming all is always well and he'll be good to go, like fully in 2026.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: Resire as a guy expect to be in the big league next year and it's three plus pitches.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's a guy whose auto's all be picking up just because I figure they'll be cheap as he's coming back from TJ and I think he's in maybe part of the Rangers future.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: Still a guy that even with the TJ, I've ranked as a, not 50 prospect.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have to try this out.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: Is he ever seen this product?
- 40:11[SPEAKER_02]: Resario?
- 40:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he did.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's on year at 625.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: I would have found it hard to do.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so you don't have all those if his product almost 25, yeah.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a guy I really like there and that's bought.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: And then just some other tier two guys, um, just in general, I had Chris Rodriguez at Yorker about Tista.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: To me, it's silly.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: If you like, if you're, if people are that high on,
- 40:31[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Rodriguez, I don't know why they wouldn't be that high on your grubar teeth, so they have very similar skill sets, but he's with the Mariners.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then Chotaro Mori is still going to be a tier two guy, because of the intrigue with the athletics two-way guy at a Japank was one of the top prospects there.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: They've only had him hit so far, but I thought the bat looked pretty good at the complex and I know that they're going to let him pitch because that was a big part of his decision of where he was going to sign.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I think anytime you have that two-way intrigue, there's always going to be some extra hype in the hobby,
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of nice swing from the left side and could be a good ol' player.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: Who's Tommy White for the athletics?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: Tommy White's interesting, because Tommy White has a lot of hype given that when he was coming up, he was nicknamed him Tommy Tank, so he's a guy from LSU.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: He went to NC State.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he's got crazy bat speed and he's got the potential.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know why he hits the way that he does.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like very wide stance is very hands remind me of the guy from the red sox that had all the hype as a younger kid hit in bombs when he was 15.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he's very Jordan.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: It is very similar.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: But again, this is a fine fall back.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like Tommy White had a nice year.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: It is 7.73 OPS and you know, finish the year in double A. So.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: has the potential in the ability.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: I just think another guy that needs to clean things up.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_02]: He goes like, no stride with two strikes and stacks.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: Almost like he's about to use like his pitching wedge.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Or not even like I'd say almost like his 50 degree.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like he kind of leans towards his front knee and the two strikes great, you're not gonna strike out.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: You're gonna hit it straight in the ground though.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I'd rather him just get it off three times and try to hit a homer.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: But still had a nice year and he has a lot of like hype that could pick up if he's playing well because everyone recognizes Tommy tanks as you just saw that yeah life old go off for you know it's like because he was in his state and we were Yeah, but he transferred LSU during that whole drama and that group it was like oh that guy
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what his name is.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: I owe boy.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do you all have any other, I have two things.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: We want to dive into some sleepers, and we're kind of getting close on time here.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: But I also want to just mention like the top from fails of all time.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I just, I think it's very important for our listeners to know that like Chrome can hurt you really, really, really badly.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember like Christian Vicarro was like the first Chrome guy that we were after.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we talked about Roderick areas, you know, Samuel Zavala, like, yes, Mercedes, Ethan Salas.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, any other names you guys want to drop to let our listeners know that like, you can easily drop names in the other direction.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Brandon, my, yeah, base autos.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_04]: We're doing $250 at release.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_04]: Just get that in mind.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he was going to bring it.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was fun.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, just sort of the biggest guy.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_00]: Cromwind's name is Nicky Cromwood.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: We agree.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_04]: Leo DeBree Samuel Bessaya.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_04]: A meal morale.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_04]: I would count him as a win right now.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_04]: His mark.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I would count him as a win right now.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_04]: Dead word.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, tell you.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you felt set cellist in.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if I would count him a win right now, but he's, you know, I don't know, you know, I'm thinking recent years then, you know, but the point is I think we've named more losses than wins.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_04]: So.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the point is because that's my point, you know, just buyer beware.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we can drop all these names and you know, talk about these guys, but like, it's not like buying advice to say, I have to get these guys.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, we were saying the same thing about Ethan Salus, you know, and again, but it is buyer beware, but it's also like, as we name these guys that that are that didn't pan out or who's markets crashed, it doesn't mean that just because you buy them that you can't make money,
- 44:22[SPEAKER_04]: When did you buy at what price point and when did you sell, you know, like it all comes out there's a good one.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: Who's that Christian's and as with the cobs.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, The hell Christian Hernandez you're screwed, right, but like it doesn't mean that you didn't you could beat you could love Christian Hernandez because you made money off of him right at release or right after release, right, like
- 44:44[SPEAKER_04]: it doesn't mean that you necessarily lose, but be careful because that doesn't always happen.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like, you don't need the guy to pan out as a prospect, unless he's, unless he's a long term home for you, you do, but you could still make money if that's what your goal is.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_04]: You could still make money on, on hype if you get in a good price on release and you move shortly thereafter, or you come up on a grading with a, with a good grade or something like that and you move it, you could still make money on these guys, but it is by her beware.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think in all fairness guys, like we're so conditioned now to 20-year-old kids, by the time they're 20-year-olds, they should be in the pros.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_03]: We talked to Jack the other day, you know, 22, 23-years-old.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_03]: He comes up.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's supposed to be a superstar right away.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's a lot of pressure for these guys, man.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, these guys are these Dominican guys coming up from
- 45:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know, 16, 17, 18 years old as these huge prospects.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: You talk about a guy like Yes or Mercedes.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_03]: He's still got the tools and he's still just 20 years old.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: The dude has got power.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_03]: He's got speed.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's got issues.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_03]: But who knows, you never know when these guys can click.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_03]: I give you a guy Gabriel Gonzalez.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about the beginning of the year.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: who everybody said Gabriel Gonzalez sucks, right?
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: He batted 330 before he had a bad year last year in Triple A. He's batting 329 15 homer 66 RBIs with a 908 OPS.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't mean they're done at 19 20 years old because they had a bad season, but as an investor that spends a ton of money on the front end.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think where I like these kind of guys is you look at it like a powerball ticket.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_03]: And you go out and you buy some 499s of these kind of under the radar guys at 10 15 20 bucks and you put them in the closet like arm does and then one day you turn around and there might be a powerful ticket in there about.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: thousand percent all right boys let's we want to we want to get to some sleepers and then kind of put a button on the episode here so so arm diving deep into this release here like I'm sitting here looking like there's six or eight guys that are above the rest price point otherwise but where do we see you know to mean some value a little bit deeper in this in the product
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think so a couple of the guys that I think that the floor being higher, but the ceiling not being high enough can kind of make them, you know, intriguing just pickups, oh Davidson with the giants as well.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I think this is what also makes the giant spot fun is, okay, you don't get Joshua go Davidson.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: is a really unique story that I don't want to fully put a ceiling on this guy, but people will see 23-year-old and double-A with pretty good, you know, I'd say very solid numbers, but they'll say, oh, he's already 23.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to like, took a year off in college and then was like identified as an undrafted free agent when he was playing and like the coastal planes league as he decided to come back and play it at JuCo.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: And then has just got better and better and better every time you check in and there's a potential for above average power average hit and all of a sudden Like you could be a really solid everyday player.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it could turn into plus power Again, I don't really want to cap a guy like this who has such a raw skill set that's already starting to convert it and get better and better every time you check in So that's just a fun player for me that I just have always enjoyed watching and play.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: I got to see him in the fall league and every time I see him you he looks a little bit better
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I think that's a very fun underrated chase where the guy that has some proximity to I think that's probably one of my favorites in terms of the the underrated chase and then going back to the picture like Carlos agron.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I don't know how many people are going to be paying attention to him.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: I know these are Yankees pitcher, so maybe a little bit more.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: But we're talking about a six foot seven, 22-year-old who sits 98.5 miles per hour with his fastball and has a pair of disgusting breaking balls and a good change up.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's been fantastic this year and it means the fastball is touched 103.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: So if it all works out and we're seeing these pictures come up and and really impress like that's definitely a name that I'd be happy to hold on to his cards and if he blows out and that stinks and you'll wait and hopefully
- 48:56[SPEAKER_02]: you can always dream on an arm like that, especially with the Yankees, the hype, but it won't take very long, I think, for people to get excited.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, my question for you, Aaron, was going to be, and I'm going to ask you this on every release preview we do from here, every single one from here.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to ask you the same question, because it's your legend status is created, awful what you did on the last release.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't listen, okay, and I'm admitting it publicly for the fifth time, because then it becomes reality, okay?
- 49:23[SPEAKER_03]: How do you back up what you did with Kevin McGonagall?
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: All right, and the last release you are convicted.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_03]: You said Kevin McGonagall's the dude.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't believe you.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_03]: Flat out current didn't believe you.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_03]: And that's not true.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_03]: Believe you either, because he wasn't buying them.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_03]: Not true.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's true, Arum.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_03]: He was selling him at release.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_03]: He was selling McGonagall at release.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's because my orange had a true owner.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_04]: That's why I sold it.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_03]: How much McGonagall was he buying?
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: Not very much.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_03]: you're right back to what we're talking of the real question at hand here the real question at hand who is the magonical if you had one guy you're gonna put it out there now you've been sitting there who is the one guy you circled and said this is the dude it can be the guy at the top it can be the guy in the middle it can be the guy at the bottom give me the easy button here close the easy button let's just clarify what let's just clarify what your question is to arm is it who's the best baseball player or who is the opportunity to make the most
- 50:21[SPEAKER_03]: because there's two conversations the same that's exactly I think for me it's the same question McGonagold to him at everybody he talked about he thought McGonagold had the best hit tool and he said that and so I want to know who is the best hitter in this release.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: hitter based on what we've seen.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think because Chrome it's it's a little bit different where you're like you get the guys you guys are so far off that the guys that are probably at the top are going to be a little bit more obvious for a draft.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I can cook a little bit more sometimes with that.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: Randy, let's try the best hitter given what he's done to level.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I would say Joshua Gonzalez, man.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think this is the best all around player in the product.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: when you look at what he could do is a switch hitter with I think ultimately what could be a plus hit tool at short stop already flashing above average pop for his age and walked more than he struck out.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: I love the swing.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: I would say Joe Swargan's always is probably the guy with the giants that I'm I'm vying with conviction and feeling pretty good about it even if I have to wait a little bit.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's that's the guy for me that I feel feel really good about.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_03]: I guess follow a question of that current for you.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you think his singles are at price point when they release?
- 51:28[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say an orange pops out within the first couple weeks.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you think his prices will be, I release?
- 51:33[SPEAKER_04]: That's tough.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if I had a guess and I think I would think in like the probably in the $4,000 range.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: I was gonna say three, you can't afford K in a product like this.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna have
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think about Walker like lateral to like a Walker Jenkins, right?
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: His orange is right now that three K range.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, that's where you're going to see a ceiling a guy like Randy or Rodriguez.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're going to push that because of the a little bit more chatter surrounding him.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a lot higher.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: What a five range of.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I see five as like a, I can see orange is being listed at like K, but I don't see them.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_04]: I could see them in a five range for sure easy easy for.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: So that his power, that his power lifts it as a 55.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_03]: Our map is powerless as a 55.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_03]: That his hit tool was a 55.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_03]: And so when you look at that comparable to a Connor Griffin, who has a 55 hit tool, a 60 power and a 70 run.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: And you're looking at a 70 score band, the top score here.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_03]: What do you, on the power though, has not shown up yet for him?
- 52:37[SPEAKER_03]: And even at the DSL and almost 200 of bats, only four four home runs into 100 of bats, that translates in a full season to 12 home runs.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_03]: OPS is like 850 in the DSL, 859.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_03]: Like is this a 10 home run guy?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_03]: Is this a 15 home run guy?
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: Because.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's where McGonagall, I think, where you nailed it is McGonagall became a guy that, yeah, the hit tool was there, but the power has shown up now too, you know, that he can, those doubles are turning into home runs and does this guy have that kind of ability?
- 53:08[SPEAKER_03]: Do you believe or is he, or will it look more capped?
- 53:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think he does.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think what McGonagal can do from a combination of hit and powers pretty rare, but I'm not a big MacCv guy when I'm looking at prospects at our AA AAA.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_02]: I do like looking at the MacCv when I'm looking at teenagers because it kind of shows you what they may have in the tank there.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: He's already there, yeah.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: He'll hit and ball is a hundred and nine.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_02]: Mouse Brower and and it's just like, okay, well, if he's already flashing that and he's going to add more strength.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_02]: You'll look at the frame.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot more room for strength there, too.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think you could be a 20 home run guy if it all works out in the power perspective.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that alone is with the field to hit and guys have that good of a feel for the barrel.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: They end up squeezing out more power.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's what we see with McDonald too.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: I absolutely think you could push north of that 15 didn't get closer to 20, 20 plus home run power.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: And when you're a hit first guy, that's why I think he has just as much of the well rounded upside is, is you're gonna have in this product.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: But don't sleep on Diego Tornis.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_03]: Is he the high of DV guy at at this level right now, no, the great.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's Chris Rodriguez, but okay.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: I tread lightly with Chris Rodriguez.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's awesome.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: How high are his EVs?
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez is hit some balls.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think 113 plus miles per hour.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: He can hit the living crap by the ball.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: He may anybody else around them.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_02]: Rainy L is is is is put up some one one 12s but Rodriguez.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think is kind of in his own realm and the DSL because Rainy L's doing that in low-way now, but yeah, Chris Rodriguez has hit a ball like 113, 114, but I'd give up several ticks for a guy to not chase 39% of the time and you know, and whiff in the zone the way he is.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_04]: Before we wrap, we let Matt wrap up here on one class question for you, prediction this time next year, who's the number one prospect in baseball?
- 54:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, which is in general?
- 54:59[SPEAKER_04]: In general, who's the number one prospect?
- 55:00[SPEAKER_04]: That takes into account.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_04]: They've already made it, they haven't made their debut.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_04]: And there's prospect eligible.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_04]: Who's the number one prospect this time next year?
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: This time next year.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I think McGonagall graduates, I think Griffin graduates, I think,
- 55:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's going to be between James.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be between.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're in deep shit if any of you come out answered, Joan.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_02]: Cold Emerson, Leo de Vries, or Sebastian Walcott, are the three, or are you got Hays' Monas?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, damn, what about the Paula?
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a shot, but I think that I skew more towards these more dynamic, well-rounded guys.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go with the way he's finished the year in the way he's looked.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: Give me Guinea Leo de Vries.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think it'll be a good breeze.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: The way he's already performing in double way in the posties and now too.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: And you're gonna throw that guy in the PCL or he's gonna just go nuts because he's one of the best spray angles guys where everything's in the air from both sides of the plate.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_02]: Give me Leo de Vries there for the number one prospect.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's Tyson Lewis top 10.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: If he's not chasing at such a high clip, but now I don't think so.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: You don't think so.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'll be talking 100 guy probably, but he's got to cut down on the chaste and and be a little bit more selective.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: But crazy pop.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_04]: So, darn, we appreciate you coming on.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_04]: Bow McRomely's 23rd Tuesday the third again buyer be where everybody could look out there.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, boys, thank you.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always thank you so much for your knowledge, man, and just your insight here.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know, boys, as a citizen, listen and make notes, I'm thinking about like, how competitive the hobbies got and for us to be able to do a podcast like this, that will get a lot of listens, because guys are out there prospecting on these players and stuff.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big, big industry, and it's just cool to be in the forefront of that, just have the conversations and educate other people, because there's nothing more fun than winning at cards.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_00]: there's nothing more fun than winning at cards and then keep running and keep doing it.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: And we want people to win like that's the thing.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: We want our listeners to win, you know what I mean?
- 56:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so we want to be the source of information for you guys and encouragement and also to letting you know from our mistakes.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where all this all comes from.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: So arm.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: appreciate you jumping on today, Baba Kern, the boys at the sports card CEO.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: We are signing out.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_03]: Good luck on the sign only final send off from Matt Ham today.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_03]: If you're not first, you're last and that's that's that that's the
