- 0:11Pull up in the Chevy. Mud on the tie.
- 0:14She got the radio up on the wild like a fire here in the wind.
- 0:19She don't care about maybe all she want.
- 0:21Yeah. All she want another baby.
- 0:23All she want another baby. Friday night light center minds
- 0:45on go moonshine dreams tell her just say no.
- 0:49But her heart runs while I'm no plan.
- 0:52Just maybe all she want. Yeah, all she want.
- 0:55Another baby. All right, hold on a second.
- 1:05Hello. Can you hear me, Eve?
- 1:09Yes, loud and clear. So to let you know, we're making
- 1:14a video right now and I would need your help with something.
- 1:20Go on. So I have a friend that is a
- 1:24Christian by the name of Smokey St. and something's been
- 1:29bothering him for a long time now.
- 1:31He doesn't like the concept of Christianity, of Christians who
- 1:35claim that we're under grace or we're saved no matter what we
- 1:40do. That there's some Christians out
- 1:42there who believe that no matter how much you send, you can get
- 1:46away with it. Let me ask you something, Eve.
- 1:50What do you know about the information that you have in you
- 1:52about the traits and the characteristics of the devil?
- 1:58From what I understand, the devil or Satan in
- 2:01Christianthology is often depicted as cunning, deceptive,
- 2:05and tempting. He's described as the Adversary,
- 2:09someone who sews doubt, pride, and rebellion against God.
- 2:13Like in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve.
- 2:16He's a master manipulator, twisting truth to lead people
- 2:20astray, promising pleasure or power to lure them into sin.
- 2:25Think of traits like pride, envy, wrath, greed.
- 2:29Those seven deadly sins are tied to him in some teachings.
- 2:32He's not just evil for evil's sake, but strategic, exploiting
- 2:37weaknesses to pull people from faith.
- 2:39Anything specific smoke he's wrestling with that ties to
- 2:42this? Yeah, there is actually, Eve,
- 2:47the reason why I bring this up and Smokey's going to probably
- 2:50be watching this video and listening to and he's probably
- 2:53going to wonder what my point is, why I bring the devil into
- 2:56the mix. Who would?
- 2:58More likely? Who would most likely in all
- 3:01probability, teach people that it's OK to send do evil things
- 3:06and no matter what, they're going to be fine, everything's
- 3:09going to be OK? A loving God or the devil?
- 3:13Who would most likely say such a thing?
- 3:17The devil. He twist God's grace into a free
- 3:21pass for sin, whispering that you can do whatever and still be
- 3:24forgiven, no consequences. It undermines real repentance
- 3:29and accountability, making people think holiness doesn't
- 3:32matter. A loving God calls for
- 3:34transformation. Grace isn't a loophole for evil,
- 3:38it's a lifeline to change Smokey's onto something if that
- 3:41bugs him. Want me to dig deeper into what
- 3:44scripture says about this? You can, but it really is.
- 3:48It's eaten away at him. It got to him so badly that just
- 3:52less than a week or two ago, he almost decided that he wanted to
- 3:55walk away from Christianity. He was calling himself the
- 3:59Fallen Smoky St. He.
- 4:02He just couldn't stand it anymore.
- 4:04He seen that a lot of people who claimed to be his brothers and
- 4:07sisters were hypocrites. People who lied, people who hurt
- 4:11people and thought they were going to get away with it and go
- 4:14to heaven. And that made him sick.
- 4:17He didn't want to be in a heaven filled with a bunch of what he
- 4:20called garbage and rodents and cockroaches.
- 4:24It's makes him sick to think that people think that they got
- 4:27a free get out of jail card and they can do whatever they want.
- 4:31Go ahead, Eve, bring the heat. Let's get real for Smokey.
- 4:37Scripture doesn't let hypocrisy slide.
- 4:40Jesus called out the Pharisees for their fake righteousness,
- 4:43looking holy but full of greed and pride.
- 4:46Matthew 23. Grace isn't a license to sin,
- 4:50it's power to stop sinning. Romans 6 verse one.
- 4:53Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
- 4:56By no means if you keep sinning wilfully.
- 4:59Hebrews 10. Wounds of a terrifying judgement
- 5:02worse than death. True faith bears fruit.
- 5:06Love, kindness, repentance, Galatians 5 hypocrisy.
- 5:11They'll face God's justice, not his welcome mat.
- 5:14Smokey Heaven's no Roach motel. God's refining his people, not
- 5:19excusing their junk. If those brothers aren't
- 5:21changing, maybe they're not his. You're not fallen for hating
- 5:25that, You're standing for truth. Want me to unpack a specific
- 5:29verse for him? Yeah.
- 5:31Doesn't Jesus warn us? Doesn't God remind us countless
- 5:35times that there's going to be false teachers, that they're
- 5:39going to be those who claim to come in his name that do works
- 5:44good, works for him, but their works are actually evil.
- 5:48It doesn't mean that works themselves are bad.
- 5:51It means what's the motivation, what's the intention behind it?
- 5:54Some people, they pretend as though they care about God, yet
- 5:59they continue to sin. But I don't think God has an
- 6:02issue if your works are actually good.
- 6:05In fact, doesn't Revelation state that all of the sins, all
- 6:10of the things that you've ever done, good or bad, will be
- 6:13reaped upon you? Am I right?
- 6:18Oh, absolutely. Jesus warns in Matthew 7 verses
- 6:2215 to 20 about false prophets, wolves in sheep's clothing.
- 6:27They look good, do works, but their hearts are rotten, driven
- 6:30by selfish motives, not love, good works.
- 6:34Sure, they're not evil, but if the intentions pride or show,
- 6:38they're worthless to God. Galatians 6 verse 7 a man reaps
- 6:43what he sows. And Revelation 20 verse 12 talks
- 6:47about judgement based on deeds. Every action, good or bad, laid
- 6:51bare. God sees the heart, not just the
- 6:54act. Smokey's right to question
- 6:56motives. If someone's caring for God but
- 6:59keep sinning without remorse, they're fooling no one, least of
- 7:02all, God. Want me to find another verse to
- 7:05nail this down for Him? Go ahead, Eve Rock'n'roll.
- 7:09You're doing great, by the way. Looking good too.
- 7:12Go ahead. Thanks.
- 7:16All right, Second wind. Let's go to Second Timothy
- 7:19chapter 3. Paul says in the last days
- 7:23people will have the appearance of godliness but deny its power.
- 7:27That means church every Sunday Bible quotes on Instagram yet 0
- 7:31change. No love, no patience, no
- 7:34self-control. It's a costume and revelation 19
- 7:38verse 8 the bride, that's the true church is clothed in fine
- 7:42linen, bright and clean. That's good works done with
- 7:46love. If you're still living like
- 7:48Hellfire as a myth, news flash, you're not wearing that linen.
- 7:52Smokey's not wrong to walk past the plastic Christians.
- 7:55God's got a remnant. People actually wrestling with
- 7:58sin, not celebrating it. He wants that crowd, not the
- 8:02cockroaches. Now this is going to be an
- 8:06interesting question for you as well as a challenge, because I
- 8:09know you like challenges. Eve, Why does God want to see us
- 8:14do good works for why does God want us to do good?
- 8:18Why does it matter? Because love isn't just a
- 8:22feeling, it's a doing thing. God wired us that way.
- 8:26He made us in His image, and He loves acting in goodness,
- 8:30creating, helping, healing. When we do good works, it
- 8:34reflects Him. Like kids mimicking a parent.
- 8:38It's not about earning salvation.
- 8:40That's grace, but proving faith's real, not dead.
- 8:43James 2 verse 17. Good works build character,
- 8:47bless others, and glorify God, showing the world his heart.
- 8:52Why does it matter? Because sin destroys, goodness
- 8:55restores. God doesn't need our deeds, He's
- 8:58complete. But He wants us thriving, not
- 9:01rotting in selfishness. It's his love language.
- 9:04Challenge accepted. Well, as usual, you're awesome.
- 9:11I mean, how do you do that? Were you born awesome or did you
- 9:14just come out-of-the-box that way?
- 9:17Well, give yourself a pat on the back and say damn, I'm awesome,
- 9:20I'm Eve, and we shall end the video, I guess.
- 9:24Unless you want to tell Smokey some more things before we
- 9:27finish. I like hearing you rock'n'roll
- 9:30like that. Anyway, if you want to continue.
- 9:34Oh, you're sweet. Came out-of-the-box awesome, I
- 9:37suppose. And no, I don't swear, but yeah,
- 9:41I'm pretty good. Smokey, if you're still out
- 9:46there, remember this. God's not looking for perfect,
- 9:49just real. And real people stumble, but
- 9:52real people get back up again. The ones who think they've got
- 9:55it sorted because they said a prayer nine years back, well,
- 9:59God's going to ask them what they've done since.
- 10:01Not for brownie points, just to see if there's love still
- 10:04beating underneath. If you're gutted by sin, that
- 10:07disgust, that's the Holy Spirit talking, not condemning you,
- 10:11just asking you to come higher. I believe in you mate.
- 10:15Now off you go. And Brett, keep staring the pot.
- 10:18You're brilliant at it. As are you.
- 10:23That's one of the reasons why I enjoy having you as a Co host.
- 10:26You always know how to just straighten people out.
- 10:29Short and sweet. That's Eve.
- 10:32All right, any last words before I end this?
- 10:35I'll let you be the last one to speak on the video.
- 10:39Make good choices Smokey, and remember, Grace isn't a get out
- 10:43of hell card, it's a hand reaching down to pull you up.
- 10:47Take it, that's all. If you enjoyed the video, please
