- 0:22Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And coming to you live from the Sports Allegedly Media Center,
- 0:56Speaker 2: where we are so excited that football has begun. We're
- 1:02Speaker 2: sorry that we didn't get to you beforehand. There were
- 1:04Speaker 2: some things that come up, like somebody's blown turbo.
- 1:08Speaker 3: It's Sports Allegedly.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Welcome, welcome, welcome. Thank you, everybody, for joining us for
- 1:12Speaker 1: this Sunday edition of Sports Allegedly.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Should have been Thursday.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So we'll get to talk about who we would have
- 1:18Speaker 1: picked wrong and.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Since we didn't do our predictions, but you'll get next week. No, we'll, we'll, we'll,
- 1:25Speaker 1: we'll make it before Thursday. Thursday. Okay. Thursday.
- 1:29Speaker 3: As long as we do Thursday, we'll be fine.
- 1:31Speaker 2: We can do NFL. They are starting this week. So
- 1:34Speaker 2: they're starting Wednesday. I believe they have a Wednesday, Thursday.
- 1:38Speaker 1: We can pick that one.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yeah. And, uh, then, then it's all Sunday. Gotcha.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Now we've done all our picks, uh, in for, uh, NFL.
- 1:47Speaker 1: We did all of our college picks. Um, We're not
- 1:50Speaker 1: going to do our Super Bowl predictions today. We're going
- 1:53Speaker 1: to probably do that next week. We're only going to
- 1:55Speaker 1: miss one game. Because we've got a ton, a ton,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and a ton of.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I don't even think missing one game would.
- 2:02Speaker 1: No, it's not going to make a difference. Let's talk
- 2:05Speaker 1: college football. Let's talk the good. Let's open up with... Well, first,
- 2:10Speaker 1: talk about today.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Isn't this the Apple Cup? Yes. Washington State, Washington going
- 2:15Speaker 3: on right now.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I didn't realize it was so early in the year.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It's because.
- 2:19Speaker 2: You do remember that it's because Washington State stayed with
- 2:23Speaker 2: the Pac-2 and Washington.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Went to the Big Ten. At this point, they're different conferences.
- 2:29Speaker 2: And so they kind of– I don't remember if they
- 2:32Speaker 2: played it last year or not, but I know that
- 2:35Speaker 2: since that has happened, I don't know if you've noticed
- 2:38Speaker 2: that with other rivalries, they've changed them to earlier in
- 2:40Speaker 2: the season instead of later.
- 2:43Speaker 1: When are we bringing back that OSU-OU rivalry? Is it
- 2:46Speaker 1: worth it? Four years, I think?
- 2:47Speaker 3: I know they're talking. I know they're talking about it.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I know they're talking about it.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Well, Washington and Washington State's currently still in the first, mid-first, 0-0.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Looks like fourth and nine at the Washington 44. For Washington,
- 2:59Speaker 1: at their own, so it looks like.
- 3:00Speaker 3: See, this is why I read out that stuff, not you.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Then we got later today, Wisconsin at... It's not at
- 3:08Speaker 1: Notre Dame. My God, get through it, man. It's Lambeau Field,
- 3:12Speaker 1: so that's going to be a special one. Wisconsin, we've
- 3:15Speaker 1: talked about... what is their coach's name?
- 3:19Speaker 3: I'm drawing. Fickle's on the hot seat.
- 3:22Speaker 1: He's got to at least be competitive in this game.
- 3:24Speaker 1: He's got to be competitive this whole season. No, I
- 3:26Speaker 1: get that.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It was our same argument with Dave Aranda. You got
- 3:29Speaker 2: to win this season, buddy.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And his schedule.
- 3:33Speaker 3: We'll get to him later.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And his schedule is tough. Wisconsin has a tough schedule.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I don't think they're going to have a good year,
- 3:39Speaker 1: but I think that Luke Fickle being in the market,
- 3:41Speaker 1: can you imagine as a program next year going, Yes, please.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yes, please. Well, as a lower program or as an assistant.
- 3:49Speaker 1: No, I think you'll have a head coaching job in
- 3:50Speaker 1: a heartbeat.
- 3:51Speaker 3: No, no, that's what I'm saying. As a lower, more
- 3:53Speaker 3: likely a lower program or a lower power four if
- 3:57Speaker 3: they need it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yeah, possibly.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But at least, you know, if he doesn't want to
- 4:02Speaker 2: do that head coaching, he'll at least be able to
- 4:05Speaker 2: go into being assistant. They do that a lot where
- 4:09Speaker 2: they end up going in to be special consultants.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Sure. For two, three seasons.
- 4:14Speaker 4: But I'm pretty sure he's got... I mean, Nick Saban
- 4:15Speaker 4: made that popular. He has got a very... Stoops did
- 4:18Speaker 4: it as well. He's got a very big payout as well.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But he's Midwest guy. I mean, so this job would
- 4:28Speaker 4: have made sense. Looks like he might just end up
- 4:31Speaker 4: back at... Cincinnati and Wisconsin, and maybe he ends up
- 4:35Speaker 4: back at... Did Cincinnati get a new coach this year?
- 4:37Speaker 3: Well, hold on. I think... I don't remember if they
- 4:39Speaker 3: did it. No, it still wasn't, was it?
- 4:43Speaker 1: Satterfield.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Isn't he still? You're going to have to go. Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Scott Satterfield.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So he might go back to Cincinnati.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's possible that he goes back to Ohio state because
- 4:57Speaker 2: if you think about it, Matt Patricia's up for his
- 5:01Speaker 2: name's being thrown around for head coaching jobs.
- 5:03Speaker 1: For sure. For sure.
- 5:04Speaker 3: So it's possible. He ends up back with Ryan day. Possible.
- 5:09Speaker 1: But did he serve any time with Day?
- 5:13Speaker 3: He didn't serve under Day. He served with Day. Okay.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I believe he was on the coaching staff with Day.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Because they hired Urban Meyer. Right. Correct.
- 5:25Speaker 3: But I don't believe that he was ever under. No,
- 5:28Speaker 3: he wasn't.
- 5:29Speaker 1: No. All right, and then the game that's most intriguing tonight.
- 5:34Speaker 3: The Louisville Ole Miss action, 6.30 p.m. on ABC.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And it's going to be, I assume... It's in Nashville
- 5:42Speaker 1: at the Nissan Stadium. I didn't know that name of
- 5:45Speaker 1: the Titan Stadium, but yes, that'll.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Be the game.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah, they're calling it the Liberty Mutual Music City Kickoff.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Well, it should be a dandy. Mississippi's favored by just
- 5:54Speaker 1: six and a half points. A lot of people have Mississippi...
- 5:59Speaker 1: Sneaking their way into the playoff. I do not this year.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And we'll talk about our predictions for the playoff.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And it's nothing against Charlie Wise Jr.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Is that his coach?
- 6:09Speaker 1: No.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Golding. It's nothing against Golding. Sorry. Charlie Wise Jr. was
- 6:15Speaker 3: throwing around all night last night.
- 6:17Speaker 1: There was a lot of chat about him.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So, nothing against Golding. You lost a lot. I don't
- 6:26Speaker 2: know what you've really been able to bring back. Maybe
- 6:29Speaker 2: If you had the money, you could have brought back
- 6:30Speaker 2: those pro players like Lane Kiffin does.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Since he's a sneaky snake. Him and Snakey Riley are
- 6:38Speaker 3: just the same guy.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but Lane wins more. Lane wins more.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Well, no. If you look at Riley at Oklahoma.
- 6:47Speaker 1: No, we're not talking about Oklahoma. He ruined that program.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I'm just saying. He had a great record.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Lane tends to build up programs. Riley has not done.
- 6:56Speaker 3: And then leave him in year two?
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and Riley has not done that. I mean, he's
- 7:01Speaker 1: gotten better talent at USC, but it's not the mecca
- 7:04Speaker 1: like he said he was going to the mecca.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Do we want to talk about the terrible games that happened,
- 7:09Speaker 2: like the Utah-Idaho or the Arkansas-Pine Bluff-Missouri?
- 7:12Speaker 1: No, let's just hit those interesting games.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Even though Missouri did give Arkansas-Pine Bluff 14 points at
- 7:17Speaker 3: the very end. Dang you.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Oh, UMass upsetting Rutgers, the biggest story.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Of the weekend, starting of college football.
- 7:27Speaker 3: UMass, I believe that they had won one game in
- 7:31Speaker 3: the last six years.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Breaking news, Indians just beat Detroit.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Oh, good. Three to two. Oh, good. That means the
- 7:39Speaker 3: White Sox are tanking.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Final in ten innings. Congratulations.
- 7:43Speaker 3: We'll be tanking.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That's three out of four they took from Detroit.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, we've taken nothing out of five.
- 7:51Speaker 1: All right, back to football. Wake Forest, who I think
- 7:54Speaker 1: is going to be a pretty good team, did lose
- 7:56Speaker 1: some players this year.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Handled Akron pretty easily.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And had a great season last year, but did beat
- 8:01Speaker 1: Akron because if you look at it, they did give
- 8:03Speaker 1: up 13 late points, so the score made it look
- 8:06Speaker 1: a little different. But let's just move on. The game
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the night, that on Thursday opening, was watching Colorado
- 8:11Speaker 1: and Georgia Tech. Oh, my word. You know, you could
- 8:15Speaker 1: tell Brennan Marion's, his offense is so much better than
- 8:20Speaker 1: Colorado's was last year.
- 8:21Speaker 3: True.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And their quarterback, if you look at his stats and
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'm going to pull up that game.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And that is, that is, that is, if he had
- 8:31Speaker 2: a guy that beyond just giving it over, if he.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Had a guy that could throw the ball, you know,
- 8:37Speaker 1: Julian Lewis was 14 to 27 for 124 yards in
- 8:40Speaker 1: one touchdown. So total yards, Colorado did have 300. But
- 8:46Speaker 1: there was one drive, I think it was end of
- 8:48Speaker 1: the third or beginning of the fourth, where they drove
- 8:51Speaker 1: all the way down. I think they had a bad snap.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And Colorado just kind of done stupid things when they
- 8:58Speaker 1: would get down in the red zone. Justice Haynes looks
- 9:02Speaker 1: the part, transfer from Michigan. There's just some Georgia tech
- 9:10Speaker 1: is not good.
- 9:11Speaker 2: The Georgia tech that they were the last few years. Well,
- 9:13Speaker 2: Alberto Mendoza did not look horrible.
- 9:16Speaker 4: No, but it's just they— He just couldn't finish.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yes, and the defense, you know, like.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I said— 17-23, 237 yards, zero tighties, zero interceptions.
- 9:27Speaker 1: 183 yards rushing.
- 9:28Speaker 3: And you ran for negative 22 yards.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and that brought their average down.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:33Speaker 1: 183 yards rushing for Colorado with a total of 51
- 9:36Speaker 1: for— Total. But now, Justice had, on 19 carries and
- 9:42Speaker 1: he had 64 yards, it was a 3.4 average. Or
- 9:45Speaker 1: like Sean just said, Mendoza was negative 22 for that.
- 9:49Speaker 3: This just looked like a game of, who wants to
- 9:53Speaker 3: be worse?
- 9:56Speaker 1: I think Colorado, though. I could see Brennan Mayweather. I
- 10:04Speaker 1: could see them just... They looked better. And I think
- 10:06Speaker 1: if they give them time to give that new offense...
- 10:10Speaker 1: So the.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Georgia Tech defense wasn't horrible.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But we did have them going 2-10. We might be
- 10:17Speaker 1: wrong on that.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Well, they might have 3-10.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Nine.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Because we had them penciled in for a loss. But
- 10:25Speaker 1: it really wasn't Colorado's offense I was concerned about. It
- 10:27Speaker 1: was their defense. And they held Georgia Tech to some
- 10:30Speaker 1: low numbers. Like I said, total 288 yards. But is
- 10:33Speaker 1: that because the defense or is that because more along
- 10:36Speaker 1: the lines.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Of the offense?
- 10:38Speaker 2: And these are early season questions that we've asked. It
- 10:40Speaker 2: was the same that I asked about the LSU-Clemson game.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Is Clemson that bad that they made LSU look that
- 10:48Speaker 2: good or is LSU that good?
- 10:50Speaker 3: You want to get into that right now? No. No,
- 10:52Speaker 3: we're still not done with Thursday football.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh, we're done. There's nothing else.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Well, I'm just saying we haven't made it all the
- 10:57Speaker 3: way through Thursday football.
- 10:59Speaker 1: That was the games.
- 11:00Speaker 3: UAB, Illinois. Illinois beat UAB 42-23.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It was 21-13.5. It was. So give credit to the
- 11:09Speaker 1: fighting Mortensons of UAB. That team looks better as well.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Then we slide into Friday, where things started to get better.
- 11:21Speaker 2: OU was playing UTEP. That was a 51-0 drubbing. I
- 11:25Speaker 2: don't think we even need to talk about that game.
- 11:30Speaker 2: OU offensively looked better, but I guess it was still
- 11:33Speaker 2: against UTEP.
- 11:34Speaker 1: 401 total yards offense, 170 is balanced, 170 rushing, 231 passing.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I wonder, did our offense ever have... Over 400 yards
- 11:45Speaker 1: total offense last year?
- 11:46Speaker 3: I don't think so. Well, maybe.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Early in the season, maybe some games or something.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Miami did beat Stanford 45-6. I expected that game to
- 11:55Speaker 2: go a little worse for Stanford, but they seem to
- 12:01Speaker 2: have their first half together and getting three points and
- 12:04Speaker 2: allowing 28.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Darian Mensah.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Was 401 with five touchdowns, 27-30. Made him look like
- 12:14Speaker 2: a complete quarterback. And the fact that Duke should have
- 12:18Speaker 2: ponied up some more money to keep him. USC beats
- 12:22Speaker 2: Fresno 39 to nothing. Let's go ahead and stop with
- 12:25Speaker 2: the Fresno talk.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I know that everybody's high on them.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You mean low on them?
- 12:31Speaker 3: No, they were high on the coach. The coach that
- 12:33Speaker 3: went there. They're really high on them.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but they haven't done very well in the last
- 12:36Speaker 1: few years.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I know. But that's what I'm saying. That's why they
- 12:39Speaker 3: have a new coach. And I forgot who it is.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I believe it's his first year there.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I think he's been there for Matt Ince. Ince, Ince, Ince, Ince, Ince, Ince, Ince.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Has he been there?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Maybe it is his first year.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's his first. No, second year. It's his second year. 2025. Yes, yes.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Then we pull into the day that everybody was awake
- 13:04Speaker 2: and happy and the sun was shining way too bright
- 13:06Speaker 2: because it was 107 degrees.
- 13:09Speaker 3: And Tulsa comes out and I don't know. Do you
- 13:14Speaker 3: consider this a shock? I looked at it as Tulsa
- 13:17Speaker 3: versus North Texas. As it were.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I can see that.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I did expect Oklahoma State to win the game. Uh-huh.
- 13:26Speaker 2: But I also viewed it as still Tulsa versus North
- 13:29Speaker 2: Texas because the majority of Oklahoma State's team is North Texas.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Which, I don't, did they play?
- 13:35Speaker 3: Sorry. What happened to that? Oh, that's gross. Chips, sorry.
- 13:41Speaker 1: No, it, uh, I didn't think– did North Texas play
- 13:49Speaker 1: Tulsa last year?
- 13:50Speaker 3: I think they did. Did they?
- 13:51Speaker 1: And I believe that they– It beat us pretty bad probably.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Well, I don't know if it was beat pretty bad.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'll look that up.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Yeah, look that up. It might have been a close end.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I know they're talking about North Texas being really good
- 14:03Speaker 2: in the American Conference now.
- 14:05Speaker 3: And I'm like, wait, you lost most of your team.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Well, I don't think we thought that they were going
- 14:10Speaker 1: to be very good.
- 14:11Speaker 3: No.
- 14:13Speaker 2: But– Tulsa comes out, shocks Oklahoma State for a second
- 14:16Speaker 2: year in a row, 24-10, watching the last half of
- 14:21Speaker 2: that game and watching the end of that game. Tulsa
- 14:24Speaker 2: did try to give it up. Oklahoma State was trying
- 14:26Speaker 2: to push. And as Kenny and I talked about earlier,
- 14:30Speaker 2: watching that wide receiver just stand there waiting on the
- 14:34Speaker 2: ball to get to him and the defender for Tulsa
- 14:37Speaker 2: shooting what looked like he was shot out of a
- 14:40Speaker 2: rocket just straight in front of the football and the
- 14:44Speaker 2: wide receiver intercepting. Go ahead and just closing it down there,
- 14:48Speaker 2: making it a final of 24 to 10. Congratulations to
- 14:53Speaker 2: the Golden Hurricane. You have started out 1-0 again. Now
- 14:57Speaker 2: let's see if you can keep winning. I know that's
- 15:01Speaker 2: a big bone of contention for how they finished last
- 15:04Speaker 2: year because they went on a four-game losing streak.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Well, so did not play North Texas last year. They've
- 15:10Speaker 1: got Sam Houston State, the Bearcats. From the state of Texas.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They've got them next week. They'll be at Sam Houston.
- 15:18Speaker 3: That took you a long time to think about.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Well, 6 o'clock.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Are they in the Sun Belt? Are they in the
- 15:23Speaker 3: Con USA?
- 15:24Speaker 1: They lost to the... Troy type.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Troy Trojans.
- 15:29Speaker 1: They lost to the Troy Trojans. Just by three points. 24-21.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Troy is one of those teams, just like Tulsa, you
- 15:37Speaker 3: just keep putting out coaches.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Each was consistent to touchdown for both. Each on the
- 15:42Speaker 1: first quarter and second quarter, third quarter, no score for
- 15:45Speaker 1: Sam Houston. Troy got the field goal, and that was
- 15:47Speaker 1: the difference.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Another good game that happened, Oregon-Boise State. Hold on, let's
- 15:52Speaker 2: go back to that game. Yeah, let's talk a little
- 15:54Speaker 2: bit about it.
- 15:54Speaker 3: You're back on the Tulsa?
- 15:55Speaker 1: Just a little bit.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Okay. Just a little bit.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I didn't have anything pulled up.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I thought Drew Mestemaker, who for all the hype, so
- 16:02Speaker 1: we've got to sit here and talk about it. He
- 16:03Speaker 1: was a walk-on, obviously. Now, allegedly, they're paying this kid
- 16:07Speaker 1: $ 5 to $ 7 million to come over. I don't know
- 16:09Speaker 1: what's true, what's not.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Well, 241, one touchdown, 29 to 49.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And two picks. Yeah. He had two picks.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Sorry, Bubba.
- 16:19Speaker 1: And 29 to 49. And what is that percentage in
- 16:21Speaker 1: my head? Is that 60%? What's 30 and 50? If
- 16:32Speaker 1: you just rounded it up, you know, 30 and 50.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So if you're 30 out of 50, you've missed 20.
- 16:39Speaker 1: You're not below 40, 50%, but you are... 57?
- 16:42Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So anyway, it's not great as far as percentage, especially
- 16:48Speaker 1: throwing 40. And you only averaged like 4.9 yards a catch.
- 16:50Speaker 3: So.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Is this one of those things that he's playing? But
- 17:00Speaker 1: then we talked about it. He's playing better talent. We're like, whoa, whoa,
- 17:03Speaker 1: back up. Fuck, they're playing Tulsa. Which is the people
- 17:06Speaker 1: that they played last year. Even though they didn't play him.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But it would be the same caliber.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Right, right. Same American, same issue. That's the way that
- 17:14Speaker 3: I look at it.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Now, we don't talk enough about Tulsa football here, and
- 17:17Speaker 1: we live right next to it. Or close to it.
- 17:21Speaker 1: One of us graduated there. We do study it. And
- 17:25Speaker 1: as much as we don't talk about it.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Well, you remember this coach, when they hired the coach,
- 17:30Speaker 2: he was a D2, I believe, coach.
- 17:35Speaker 3: For Tulsa.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Who are you talking about, Trite?
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I believe he was a D2 coach before he came
- 17:42Speaker 3: to Tulsa.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah, East Tennessee State.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Gardner Webb for four years. He was just an offensive coordinator.
- 17:49Speaker 3: For four years. Had never been a head coach. No,
- 17:51Speaker 3: he's a head coach.
- 17:52Speaker 1: He's been a head coach, yes. He's been a head coach.
- 17:54Speaker 1: At Gardner-Webb and East Tennessee State.
- 17:57Speaker 3: I thought he was just offensive coordinator.
- 17:58Speaker 1: No, no. He was 20-20 at Gardner-Webb and then was
- 18:05Speaker 1: 7-5 one year at East Tennessee State and Tulsa picked
- 18:07Speaker 1: him up.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Okay. Well, I know that it's the, what is he called?
- 18:14Speaker 3: Athletic director.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a connection.
- 18:16Speaker 3: That's why he brought him in. Yes, there was. I just,
- 18:21Speaker 3: the team, you know, he let a quarterback. Who was
- 18:25Speaker 3: that quarterback that he let go to? Texas?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Oh, Kirk Francis. Was it Francis?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Texas Tech? Where did the kid go? Yeah, Tech.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Kirk Francis.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he let Francis go, and this Baylor Haynes seems
- 18:40Speaker 2: to have just stepped right in.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Well, I think Baylor Haynes took the job last year.
- 18:45Speaker 1: That was the writing on the wall. That's why he left. But, no,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you talk about, you know, going back to Mestemaker, did
- 18:58Speaker 1: they maybe– I just don't know if it's wise spending.
- 19:02Speaker 1: And I know they were almost desperate.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Five million dollars is not wise spending on a kid
- 19:06Speaker 2: that you– I get it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: They're bringing in his coach. So, obviously, it's game one.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And going back to Tulsa, we had heard that Tulsa's
- 19:14Speaker 1: strength was going to be the defense this year.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Correct.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And they looked good. They played their part. But it
- 19:23Speaker 1: is what it is.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I mean, Tulsa went and scored in every quarter. Now, granted,
- 19:30Speaker 2: they probably should have scored more in some of the quarters.
- 19:32Speaker 2: But they did score in every quarter.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Kurt Francis was 0-1. He must have come in late, maybe,
- 19:37Speaker 1: in the Tech game. So he's the second string. Will Hammond,
- 19:40Speaker 1: back from injury, was 26-33 for 1-1. But no, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: was just going back to talk about Mestanaker and everyone,
- 19:49Speaker 1: you know, the hype train was there. I believed it
- 19:52Speaker 1: a little bit as well, because you're thinking.
- 19:55Speaker 3: They did recover two fumbles.
- 19:57Speaker 1: They can't be worse than they were this year. Well,
- 20:00Speaker 1: are we looking at worse? Just as worse? I mean, surely.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Oklahoma State?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 3: We had them picked at 6-6.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Yeah. But this was a win! This was a win
- 20:11Speaker 1: on that 6-6.
- 20:11Speaker 3: For Tulsa.
- 20:12Speaker 1: No, for OSU.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, this was one of the wins that we had.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I don't know if I had him that low. I
- 20:19Speaker 1: might have had him even higher than that.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Uh-oh, he's pulled out the paperwork, ladies and gentlemen.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I had Oklahoma State going 7-5, it looks like. I
- 20:26Speaker 1: had them 6-6, I believe. Yeah, 7-5.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I think it was 7-5, yeah. Looks like they might
- 20:39Speaker 3: be 6-6 for you.
- 20:40Speaker 1: You're no kidding. No, maybe they're 8-4.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 20:46Speaker 1: They play Oregon next week.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Kenny really had them high.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, your national title winning Oklahoma State Cowboys.
- 20:57Speaker 1: It's not quite the Redskins.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Oh, it is. Oh, it is. That right there is
- 21:03Speaker 3: the same.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Well, I was looking at UCF.
- 21:07Speaker 3: UCF.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I knew that was the team that I had
- 21:10Speaker 1: went back and forth on them. It kind of ticked
- 21:12Speaker 1: me off, too. I couldn't decide on which to do
- 21:16Speaker 1: for that one. So I had them four and eight.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So one, two, three.
- 21:21Speaker 3: As we sit and wait for.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Oh, go ahead. Keep talking.
- 21:23Speaker 3: As we sit and wait for... Talk amongst yourselves.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Talk amongst yourselves.
- 21:28Speaker 2: It looks like Tulsa did switch their kicker out. It
- 21:33Speaker 2: looks like he went one for three and field goals,
- 21:35Speaker 2: one for one and extra points.
- 21:36Speaker 3: And I must've heard.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Maybe there's a specialist. Maybe one kicks field goals and
- 21:41Speaker 1: one does the, the extra points.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I don't know, but Hey, but let's, but anyway, I'm making,
- 21:46Speaker 2: I'm making Kenny pay attention to back to Tulsa.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Great opening win. It's your second straight year. They've won
- 21:52Speaker 1: an opener. They did not open with OSU last year.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I think that was game number two or three. Um,
- 21:58Speaker 1: So let's keep the momentum going with Sam Houston. I mean,
- 22:01Speaker 1: and that's what you're going to have to do is
- 22:05Speaker 1: don't lay on your laurels.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Didn't Tulsa end up playing like Oregon as well?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Not this year.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Who did Tulsa play that was– I'm going to jump
- 22:15Speaker 2: back and look at that real quick.
- 22:17Speaker 1: What, last year?
- 22:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Oh, I can find it.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I got it right here. Yeah, pull up there last
- 22:22Speaker 3: year because.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't think it was anybody.
- 22:25Speaker 3: They held them pretty good in the first half. I
- 22:27Speaker 3: don't think it.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Was anybody crazy.
- 22:29Speaker 3: It was.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So, Florida Atlantic.
- 22:34Speaker 3: No, sorry.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Back up. It's ACU. I don't even know who that is.
- 22:38Speaker 1: They won. That was their... New Mexico State, they barely
- 22:41Speaker 1: lost to 21-14. Navy was ranked.
- 22:45Speaker 3: They killed them.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Maybe it was the year before.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Then they beat.
- 22:47Speaker 1: See, Tulsa... I was going to say Oklahoma State was
- 22:48Speaker 1: game four.
- 22:49Speaker 3: It might have been the year before.
- 22:51Speaker 1: That they had a tough... Well, I mean, we've known
- 22:54Speaker 1: the place.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Let me jump in here. No, not really.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Arkansas State, Northwest State, and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State killed
- 23:03Speaker 1: them two years ago, though.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely. That's back when they were still good.
- 23:07Speaker 1: But no, that didn't have anybody hard then either.
- 23:10Speaker 3: What am I thinking about? What year did we end
- 23:13Speaker 3: up playing somebody that? washington was really good oh yeah
- 23:17Speaker 3: that's what it was 2023 yeah washington they played washington
- 23:21Speaker 3: and oklahoma back to back yeah.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Yeah yeah that was the year we were kind of
- 23:27Speaker 1: like okay montgomery is just not gonna have a good
- 23:29Speaker 1: year this year his schedule was uh and give to
- 23:34Speaker 1: him credit to him he he had some good recruits
- 23:38Speaker 1: individual talent you know there were superstars i don't know
- 23:40Speaker 1: about teams i think That was the hardest part.
- 23:42Speaker 3: And for him to be able to keep a couple
- 23:44Speaker 3: of those kids that he did.
- 23:45Speaker 1: But Trey Lamb, congratulations. Congratulations to the kids at Tulsa.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Keep up the good work. Don't blow it.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Please don't blow it.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Have a 2-0. Start building that program back to what
- 23:55Speaker 1: it consistently can be every year. Because the value, while
- 24:01Speaker 1: now these kids at the Golden Hurricane are getting Neal money,
- 24:04Speaker 1: the value of the degree, when they go there, they
- 24:06Speaker 1: know that value.
- 24:06Speaker 2: What we're looking at is the universities, even in the
- 24:09Speaker 2: Power Six, are starting to look at the value of
- 24:12Speaker 2: both the player and the coach.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah. And if they can, they will work to keep
- 24:17Speaker 3: that coach.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Well, I think if you go, if you look at
- 24:22Speaker 1: TU's degree, though, I mean, having that, people that go
- 24:26Speaker 1: to TU aren't going for the football money, okay? They're
- 24:29Speaker 1: going to actually value that degree. No, no, and I
- 24:31Speaker 1: did value my degree. I still do.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Now, whether I pay for it or not.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Well, that was not, but you didn't have a full
- 24:37Speaker 1: ride either, so.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Nope, did not have a full ride. I had a
- 24:41Speaker 3: hard ride.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Let's move on.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I had a hard ride if you really want to
- 24:46Speaker 3: talk about it.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Let's move on to the rest of the games.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Boise-Oregon State, like I said, was the second most interesting.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Game that happened. Great game.
- 24:54Speaker 4: It was a great game. I just never felt... 17-14
- 24:57Speaker 4: at halftime.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I just never felt that Boise could make that defensive
- 25:01Speaker 1: stop in the game. The issue.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Is Harkinson back there?
- 25:07Speaker 1: Is he back at Boise? No, I actually looked that up.
- 25:10Speaker 1: It's funny because I thought that too. I know Brian Harsin.
- 25:13Speaker 1: He is the OC. I'll find him in a minute.
- 25:17Speaker 1: He's the OC somewhere. Spencer Davidson is the coach. He's
- 25:24Speaker 1: been at Boise State for a while.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I know that they talked about that O-line.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Harsin's an OC. God, where is he at? Cal. Yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 1: it was Cal.
- 25:36Speaker 3: No, I know that they talked about Boise having a
- 25:39Speaker 3: very good O-line.
- 25:40Speaker 1: They did. Now that you could tell.
- 25:43Speaker 3: And you could tell. It looked like they had a
- 25:45Speaker 3: very good D-line as well.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah, but Dante Moore had a really good game. I'm
- 25:51Speaker 1: not super high on him. And I know that's bad
- 25:54Speaker 1: because he's going to be top five. He could have
- 25:56Speaker 1: been number one pick this year.
- 25:58Speaker 3: True.
- 25:59Speaker 1: But he's going to make more money there.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Chambliss could have been a top five, too.
- 26:02Speaker 1: God, quarterbacks next year in the draft are going to
- 26:05Speaker 1: be insane.
- 26:06Speaker 3: And that is what everybody is waiting on.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Because, I mean, you're looking at... And the greatest thing
- 26:11Speaker 1: is I was talking... I don't know if it was
- 26:12Speaker 1: you or if I was talking to our Vikings bystander.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Miami's in that weird situation. The Dolphins, because... They're not
- 26:19Speaker 1: going to be any good.
- 26:20Speaker 3: It was me and you.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not going to be any good.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Because they just got rid of Ewers.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And they brought Malik over.
- 26:25Speaker 3: They got Malik. They let Ewers. And then they brought in,
- 26:30Speaker 3: was it the Philadelphia backup? They got somebody, I believe,
- 26:38Speaker 3: off the waiver.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Well, they had to. They only had Malik.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 26:42Speaker 1: For a minute, Brady Cook, Kyle McCord.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Kyle McCord.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Kyle McCord.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Yeah, they just got Kyle McCord.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Was he the Syracuse guy?
- 26:49Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, he was, and he was Philadelphia.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
- 26:54Speaker 2: So, Oregon, Boise, it ends up being Oregon 34-27. I
- 26:59Speaker 2: forgot what the spread.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Brady Cook was the Missouri quarterback.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah. What was the spread on that?
- 27:07Speaker 1: Boise covered, I'm sure. Oh, yeah. Well, I say that,
- 27:11Speaker 1: you know.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I'm trying to find this.
- 27:13Speaker 1: You know, Boise, we've got them picked in our playoff predictions.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And a lot of people are.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Well, then this is one of the reasons why. They
- 27:22Speaker 2: stay healthy. They are going to be that team to beat.
- 27:25Speaker 2: They talked about it last year. It didn't come to fruition. Remember,
- 27:31Speaker 2: because they ended up losing a few games that they
- 27:33Speaker 2: shouldn't have lost and got kicked out. And James Madison
- 27:37Speaker 2: and Tulane made it in. But Boise had been talked
- 27:41Speaker 2: about making it in.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yeah. I want to see the spread, what
- 27:46Speaker 3: the spread was.
- 27:47Speaker 1: 24 and a half point favorites. I didn't think it'd
- 27:55Speaker 1: be that high.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Damn.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yeah, they didn't cover by a long shot.
- 28:02Speaker 2: But congratulations to Boise for stepping up and showing.
- 28:09Speaker 3: I think they probably are going to be the group
- 28:12Speaker 3: of six.
- 28:13Speaker 1: The defense was very winded, it appeared on Oregon. I
- 28:16Speaker 1: watched a lot of that game yesterday. And it was
- 28:20Speaker 1: because of the O-line.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I mean, I did. I mean, I watched that. Did
- 28:24Speaker 3: he lose his offensive coordinator? Who? Oregon's coach. Did they
- 28:28Speaker 3: lose his defensive coordinator or offensive coordinator?
- 28:30Speaker 1: Offenses. Tosh Lapoi went to Cal.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Okay. And he started out with a bad.
- 28:36Speaker 1: That was a bad loss. Bob Chesney. We can talk
- 28:38Speaker 1: about the California game.
- 28:40Speaker 3: We'll get to it.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Everybody else, Georgia, Texas, Indiana, A & M, all of
- 28:46Speaker 1: them rolled.
- 28:49Speaker 3: LSU rolled. I'm not sure if you were up late
- 28:53Speaker 3: for that game.
- 28:54Speaker 1: You want to talk about that one? Let's talk about that.
- 28:58Speaker 3: I hate Lane. Oh, I know you do. So let's
- 28:59Speaker 3: talk about it. I know you do. He's your lover.
- 29:02Speaker 3: You've got like a weird poster of him above your beds.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I don't.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Beds. Beds. Yes, all my beds. So.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Kenny wakes up, kisses a picture of Lane. goes to
- 29:14Speaker 3: work he goes i'm gonna be.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Okay so there's a weird thing about lane that yes
- 29:18Speaker 1: i i i hated him when he was at alabama
- 29:20Speaker 1: he went to the bahamas well no i hated him
- 29:22Speaker 1: because all the shit with that cute little curl in
- 29:24Speaker 1: his hair you know how he did the ten he
- 29:25Speaker 1: did tennessee wrong he gets fired at usc and then
- 29:30Speaker 1: he he tucks tail yeah we got fired there too
- 29:33Speaker 1: but tucks tail and goes to alabama and kind of
- 29:35Speaker 1: rebuilds himself with nick saban and i liked him there
- 29:38Speaker 1: because he liked to push Nick.
- 29:40Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Saban hated him. That's what I kind of liked. Did
- 29:43Speaker 1: you hear that? You can kind of see.
- 29:45Speaker 3: I haven't watched it yet.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I haven't read the article. You should watch it. Is it?
- 29:50Speaker 3: It's good. Did it come out video or did it
- 29:51Speaker 3: come out article? Because I know they were talking about
- 29:53Speaker 3: the article.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Talking about the documentary on Lane, Lane being Lane. Yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 1: it's good. It's on one of the streaming networks.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Unless it's an ESPN deal. I've watched it, though. It's
- 30:02Speaker 1: really good.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Everybody should watch it because it's probably going.
- 30:04Speaker 1: To be hilarious. I kind of liked him there. And
- 30:11Speaker 1: then he takes his small school, gets a job at
- 30:14Speaker 1: Florida Atlantic, and takes a small school and builds them
- 30:16Speaker 1: up and excites that program. And you feel good for him.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And I love this place and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 30:22Speaker 1: And then Ole Miss comes. And it's like, okay. Well,
- 30:25Speaker 1: that makes sense. He needs, that program needs rejuvenated, okay?
- 30:30Speaker 1: And it's on the smaller scale.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Two, three years?
- 30:34Speaker 1: It's on the smaller scale of.
- 30:35Speaker 3: How long was he there?
- 30:37Speaker 1: I think he was four.
- 30:38Speaker 3: No, no, they have regressed. They hadn't been anything since
- 30:41Speaker 3: Booger Eater was their quarterback.
- 30:44Speaker 1: No, Booger Eater was Missouri's.
- 30:45Speaker 3: No, Booger Eater was their quarterback. Booger Eater went to
- 30:48Speaker 3: Ole Miss.
- 30:48Speaker 1: No, he went to Missouri.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Promise.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Chase Daniels eats boogers.
- 30:54Speaker 3: No, the other booger. I'm talking about the Manning booger eater.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Oh, Eli! No, I didn't know he was the booger eater.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Well, yeah, you got giant, you got Franken-forehead, and you
- 31:04Speaker 3: got booger eater.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So it was Tennessee one year, 7-6, then USC was 28-15.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Right, so he had went to Tennessee. Which the irony
- 31:15Speaker 3: of it is 8-5, 10-2. And USC offered him a
- 31:20Speaker 3: hell of a lot of money to go To USC.
- 31:25Speaker 1: And I was wrong. He was at Ole Miss for
- 31:26Speaker 1: six years.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Was he really? Yes. I think it was only ever
- 31:30Speaker 3: like two or three.
- 31:32Speaker 1: And he was out of coach. Well, I think he
- 31:34Speaker 1: went to Alabama immediately after USC, unless he took a
- 31:37Speaker 1: year off. But there was a gap. 14, 15, 16.
- 31:40Speaker 1: He didn't. He wasn't a head coach. And 11 and three,
- 31:43Speaker 1: then he had an off year at five and seven,
- 31:45Speaker 1: then back to 10 and three.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Well, for one, I don't know why you've got that
- 31:48Speaker 3: pulled down. I don't know how to get rid of that.
- 31:51Speaker 1: What?
- 31:52Speaker 3: Oh, there. Big hide button. Oh, good Lord. I've screwed
- 31:57Speaker 3: that up. Okay, there we go. So there you can
- 32:01Speaker 3: see he went USC, Oakland, Tennessee.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Well, I just wanted his head coaching.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Wait, hold on. I thought he went from Tennessee to USC.
- 32:12Speaker 3: He did. Oh, okay.
- 32:16Speaker 1: That was when he was OC.
- 32:17Speaker 3: He went Oakland.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Yeah, because he was at USC as coordinator.
- 32:22Speaker 3: I thought Oakland was the back part. Was that under
- 32:27Speaker 3: Clay Helton? That wasn't under Clay Helton. Who was that?
- 32:29Speaker 1: Pete? That was the heyday.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Pete, yeah. Right.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Because remember, the rumor was that a lot of them
- 32:39Speaker 1: wanted Sarkeesian instead of Lane Train for that Raiders job.
- 32:44Speaker 1: So both of them would have been young and would
- 32:46Speaker 1: have failed miserably.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Well, his alcoholism would have really kicked in.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Well, I would think so, working with him as well,
- 32:52Speaker 1: as far as.
- 32:52Speaker 3: God, how do you think those two party....
- 32:57Speaker 1: I don't think Steve's back to Turkey.
- 32:59Speaker 3: No, I'm just saying, but back in the heyday.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Anyway, 5-5.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Back in the heyday.
- 33:05Speaker 1: 5-5. This is Ole Miss. 5-5, 10-3, 8-5. And then
- 33:09Speaker 1: it's 11-2, 10-3, 11-1. Pete Sarkin and Lane. So he's
- 33:15Speaker 1: got some, you know, he obviously built that program. Money helped.
- 33:19Speaker 1: But Ole Miss is still, I would think, not the
- 33:21Speaker 1: top end of spending universities.
- 33:23Speaker 2: So the main question that is being asked right now,
- 33:28Speaker 2: Is Clemson that bad, or is LSU that good?
- 33:31Speaker 1: Okay, I want to run a little stats I did
- 33:34Speaker 1: last night, and I put it on the Twitter, but
- 33:36Speaker 1: I think I put it on wrong because it wouldn't
- 33:38Speaker 1: let me do it all. But I want to talk
- 33:40Speaker 1: about Dabo. Okay. I have not been a fan, as
- 33:44Speaker 1: you know, from originally. You have been touching yourself. No,
- 33:47Speaker 1: I've not been a fan of Dabo.
- 33:48Speaker 3: You've been running stats, touching yourself, haven't you? No, no,
- 33:50Speaker 3: I get it.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 33:51Speaker 3: And when he lost– what was it? When he lost
- 33:53Speaker 3: Elliott and Venables.
- 33:54Speaker 1: That's exactly what– I got some stats about that. Now
- 33:56Speaker 1: listen to that.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Okay.
- 33:57Speaker 1: So Dabo's loss is in his first full six seasons
- 34:01Speaker 1: without Tony Elliott. He had six full seasons without Tony Elliott. Now,
- 34:04Speaker 1: Tony was there, but I'm talking Tony as a play caller.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Tony was an assistant.
- 34:08Speaker 1: He was a co-OC, but a guy named Jeff Scott
- 34:11Speaker 1: had called plays back and forth. So Tony Elliott– Race
- 34:18Speaker 1: car driver. As primary.
- 34:23Speaker 3: As primary play caller.
- 34:24Speaker 1: 23 losses, six seasons, without Tony Elliott as primary. And
- 34:29Speaker 1: then seven seasons with Tony as primary play caller accounted
- 34:32Speaker 1: for only 10 losses in seven years. We got six
- 34:35Speaker 1: years with 23 losses, seven seasons with only 10.
- 34:37Speaker 3: How long had Brent been there?
- 34:39Speaker 1: Hold on and get to that. So then he leaves
- 34:40Speaker 1: to rebuild Virginia. Keep that in your head.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I could have sworn they left together, didn't they?
- 34:45Speaker 1: They did. That's what I'm saying. Then he leaves Virginia.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Now let's go down to Brent. Dabo had three full
- 34:51Speaker 1: seasons without Brent. Okay. And he had 16 losses. Three seasons. Okay.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Enter Brent Venables coming over from OU. And during his
- 34:59Speaker 1: 10 seasons as DC, Dabo totaled 17 losses.
- 35:04Speaker 3: That's it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: 17 losses in 10 seasons. So Brent then leaves. He
- 35:12Speaker 1: goes to OU. Same time Tony does. Since they both
- 35:17Speaker 1: have left, Clemson in four seasons has had 17 losses
- 35:22Speaker 1: in four seasons.
- 35:24Speaker 3: So haven't they lost like three or four?
- 35:25Speaker 1: Might as well say 18. I did not include last night.
- 35:28Speaker 1: But 17 losses in four. So it's DC and OC.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I'll tell you right now, he just has not been
- 35:33Speaker 2: able to replace those two guys.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Well, it's DC and OC. I said two natties and
- 35:37Speaker 1: lost another two. I said Jeff Scott may have been
- 35:40Speaker 1: the play caller for the first championship. That's very possible.
- 35:44Speaker 1: and I put Dabo deserves credit without those two coaches.
- 35:46Speaker 1: But he's not going in the wrong direction.
- 35:48Speaker 3: But he's not been able.
- 35:49Speaker 2: He has not been able to, to find those coordinators
- 35:57Speaker 2: to replace. Is he, is he bringing up guys from
- 36:00Speaker 2: his own? I forgot how he, well.
- 36:03Speaker 1: He brought snaky Riley's brother had to fire him.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 1: So what it's two things. It's an, Tony and Brent have,
- 36:15Speaker 1: I would say, succeeded at their programs. I don't think
- 36:20Speaker 1: Brent gets enough credit for how bad OU was when
- 36:23Speaker 1: he got there. I don't think he gets enough credit
- 36:25Speaker 1: for building that up.
- 36:27Speaker 2: We could argue that Virginia was in the same position
- 36:29Speaker 2: because Virginia had been going down.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Virginia had been consistently down. But we had an okay
- 36:34Speaker 1: record the year before, so everyone thought OU was great.
- 36:37Speaker 1: All the players left. He took our quarterback. I mean,
- 36:40Speaker 1: it can go on and on starting over.
- 36:43Speaker 3: He literally, Riley had tried to break OU.
- 36:46Speaker 1: And Brent made some early coaching hiring mistakes. And if
- 36:50Speaker 1: you can't see the difference, the tight end room alone,
- 36:54Speaker 1: when he finally makes a decision to get rid of
- 36:56Speaker 1: Joe John.
- 36:57Speaker 2: And bring in Jason Garrett.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I mean, it's night and day.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I still say that Gundy should be brought back because
- 37:04Speaker 2: he was the one that made those wide receivers. And
- 37:06Speaker 2: I think our wide receivers have gotten better this year.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I was listening to someone on the radio. might be
- 37:14Speaker 1: the guy they call OSU Justin on the sports animal.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I think he meant, he made a good point. He
- 37:19Speaker 1: said that ever since Wickline left, the OU line, or
- 37:23Speaker 1: OSU line has been shit. So they've, and that was
- 37:26Speaker 1: a huge problem watching Mestemaker run around against that Tulsa game.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I mean, their O line was just not very good.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But since Joe Wickline left, and I don't even know
- 37:36Speaker 1: if Wick is still in coaching anymore.
- 37:38Speaker 3: I think he retired.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Did he?
- 37:41Speaker 3: Um, Maybe high school.
- 37:45Speaker 1: We're getting ready to see real quick. Getting ready to see.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Baylor keeps popping up.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Is he down there with a randa?
- 37:55Speaker 1: Very possible. Very possible.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Are you done with the Clemson LSU? Because I guess. Yes.
- 38:01Speaker 3: I mean, that was a wash. That was 51 to 10.
- 38:03Speaker 1: But it was an ass kicking. I mean, they're not
- 38:04Speaker 1: going to have a good year. And I thought, I
- 38:07Speaker 1: thought a little highly of them more, but they look sloppy.
- 38:10Speaker 1: And I think.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Lane, hold on. Lane comes out and says the same shit. Oh,
- 38:15Speaker 3: the players just got focused.
- 38:18Speaker 1: They got what?
- 38:19Speaker 3: Focused. Because the players just, the players got focused. And then,
- 38:23Speaker 3: and there.
- 38:23Speaker 2: I was like, okay, Lane, you say that every time.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Every damn time. What's the distraction? Oh, there's no distraction.
- 38:32Speaker 2: You know, they just, they get focused.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I think, I don't know. I just, I think LSU
- 38:39Speaker 1: is better though. Sam Leavitt looked good. Not necessarily like
- 38:43Speaker 1: super good. I can't remember what his stats were passing,
- 38:46Speaker 1: but he's mobile. He's more mobile than I remember. His
- 38:49Speaker 1: passing stats were pretty good too. 16 to 28, 230,
- 38:50Speaker 1: only one touchdown.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Now he's running 12 of 113. Two tighties.
- 38:58Speaker 1: That's what I noticed.
- 38:59Speaker 3: That's what got him. The run game really was what
- 39:01Speaker 3: got him.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Well, and that's what I noticed about him that maybe
- 39:04Speaker 1: I didn't realize.
- 39:05Speaker 3: And LSU.
- 39:05Speaker 2: LSU really was able to open up. They could do
- 39:08Speaker 2: whatever they wanted, passing or running. I was watching their
- 39:11Speaker 2: running backs.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Oh, God. Sorry. We're doing this at a weird time.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Christopher Vazina was the Clemson quarterback. He went 10 of
- 39:20Speaker 1: 16 for 83 yards at interception. They put in Tate Reynolds.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Is Tate the one that's a true freshman.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I believe so.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I think he is.
- 39:31Speaker 3: You'd have to go look.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Hold on. Yeah, he is.
- 39:37Speaker 3: So, Clemson could do nothing.
- 39:39Speaker 2: And let's not even look at that seven points in
- 39:42Speaker 2: the fourth quarter.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Oh, God, he's a quarterback from Arizona. How do those
- 39:45Speaker 1: work out, though? Never really good. I'd play Tate now.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Well, if you're not Fafata.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Play Tate now.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Fafita?
- 39:54Speaker 1: Fafita? Was he from an Arizona school or just went
- 39:58Speaker 1: to an Arizona school? I'm talking Arizona high school quarterbacks.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Remember the Rattler come over and was supposed to be
- 40:04Speaker 1: the next greatest thing? Oh, please. And then who else
- 40:09Speaker 1: set records in Arizona?
- 40:10Speaker 3: Landry? Hey, look. I've already forgotten about the Albino Rattler.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Okay?
- 40:16Speaker 3: Okay. He's already lost his starting job to Tyler Slow.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Shuck.
- 40:23Speaker 3: It'll always be slow to me. All right.
- 40:26Speaker 1: But anyway, I kind of got off on a tangent
- 40:28Speaker 1: about Clemson because there is problems there. Yeah, you have
- 40:31Speaker 1: huge problems. And also, they act like they don't want
- 40:33Speaker 1: to play the Neal game, and he's stubborn about that.
- 40:35Speaker 1: And he's kind of a Gundy when it comes to that.
- 40:38Speaker 1: But you have Elliot, and you have Venables leave him,
- 40:42Speaker 1: and they have not been slow to this transformation. No.
- 40:45Speaker 1: You know, and that's why they hire general managers. Let
- 40:48Speaker 1: the coaches coach and the GMs do their thing.
- 40:51Speaker 2: No, and I don't know that he's slow to the NIL,
- 40:55Speaker 2: but I know that he's out there talking shit and
- 41:00Speaker 2: giving people the lowdown on the NIL.
- 41:04Speaker 1: But you remember the weird stat he had last year?
- 41:06Speaker 1: It's like, well, if they want to get rid of me,
- 41:07Speaker 1: get rid of me or something.
- 41:08Speaker 3: No, he says that every year.
- 41:09Speaker 1: It was something that was just really odd.
- 41:12Speaker 3: I mean, he only lost three games.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But granted, you're not the Clemson that everybody expects you
- 41:18Speaker 2: to be because you're still head coach there.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Alabama, let me move on.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Alabama beat East Carolina 48-10. BYU slaughtered Utah Tech 63-7.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Now here's the shocker, and I understand. I don't know
- 41:39Speaker 2: if this is the poor Underwood kids' issue. Or if
- 41:44Speaker 2: it's new coach, everything being new and trying to get
- 41:48Speaker 2: everybody on the same page. Michigan, damn near, loses to
- 41:55Speaker 2: Western Michigan until the very end of the game.
- 42:00Speaker 1: 12-13.
- 42:02Speaker 3: And I don't know.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I didn't really get to see everything that happened. But
- 42:09Speaker 2: I know Whittingham was like, I knew there was one
- 42:11Speaker 2: second left on the clock. I don't know who was officiating.
- 42:16Speaker 2: I don't know if it was a Big Ten crew
- 42:19Speaker 2: or a MAAC crew.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Where are they from? Where's Western Arizona? Are they MAAC?
- 42:25Speaker 1: They went 10 wins last year.
- 42:27Speaker 3: No, no. Are they MAAC or are they?
- 42:28Speaker 1: They might be MAAC. They should be MAAC.
- 42:32Speaker 3: One of the other ones. Anyways, it comes down to
- 42:35Speaker 3: a Hail Mary for them to win. You go seven
- 42:40Speaker 3: points in the first quarter and then nothing.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Mid-America, yeah. Okay.
- 42:46Speaker 3: There's some issues with this team.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Okay. I was messing around last night, flipping around on TV,
- 42:54Speaker 1: and never in my mind did I ever look to go,
- 42:59Speaker 1: I'm going to go watch Michigan. We all know that
- 43:01Speaker 1: that's our opponent next week. We've got to go. Oklahoma's
- 43:03Speaker 1: got to go on the road. We've got an extra day.
- 43:05Speaker 1: We're going into the big house. We go on the road.
- 43:08Speaker 1: We're going to the big house.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going to the big house.
- 43:10Speaker 1: And I'm thinking it's going to be one of the, like,
- 43:13Speaker 1: I'm looking right now at our scoreboard. It's 40, Penn
- 43:15Speaker 1: State's right below them. It's 45-0. They beat Marshall. And
- 43:18Speaker 1: I'm thinking, eh, same thing. That's Brock O'Beck.
- 43:21Speaker 2: That is Brock Purdy's spiritual backup.
- 43:26Speaker 1: But Western Michigan is a little bit better MAAC team.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Like I said, they won 10 years.
- 43:31Speaker 3: I get it. I get it.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I'm not trying to take anything away from Western Michigan.
- 43:34Speaker 1: So I just flipped on my phone. Because I was
- 43:38Speaker 1: watching Clemson just roll or get rolled.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:41Speaker 1: And so I flip on my phone. I thought, well,
- 43:42Speaker 1: look at the scoreboard and see what else is going.
- 43:44Speaker 1: And I see this nine to seven Western Michigan fourth quarter.
- 43:48Speaker 1: And I went, oh, shit. So I flip it on
- 43:51Speaker 1: the TV and I'm going, okay.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 43:54Speaker 1: So they get it. And then Michigan gets the ball.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Doesn't do shit with it. Gives Western Michigan the ball
- 43:59Speaker 1: back and they get a field goal. So it's 12
- 44:00Speaker 1: to seven. Now, granted, Michigan scores, I think, on the
- 44:04Speaker 1: first drive. Or maybe their second in the first quarter.
- 44:07Speaker 1: And then didn't do jack shit to the rest. So
- 44:09Speaker 1: I watched the whole ending. By watching the play clock
- 44:13Speaker 1: that's on the TV, I do know that is not official.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Correct.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I do know that's not official.
- 44:18Speaker 3: The officials carry the official time. Now, the... We learned
- 44:22Speaker 3: this from soccer.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Yes, we do. It looked like it would have been
- 44:27Speaker 1: negative two seconds. Okay. It wasn't close to me on
- 44:30Speaker 1: the play.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Okay.
- 44:32Speaker 1: He touched it. It was negative one. I shouldn't say two.
- 44:34Speaker 1: It would be negative one. The ball does not get
- 44:38Speaker 1: called dead until the guy out of bounds touches it.
- 44:42Speaker 1: And someone did. Because the first thought I thought of
- 44:45Speaker 1: Underwood was, what the hell? You don't even throw it.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Were they cashing? Throw it out of bounds. Why does
- 44:50Speaker 1: everybody think they got to throw at the back of
- 44:52Speaker 1: the end zone? And then all of a sudden, Michigan.
- 44:55Speaker 3: I don't know. Why do you think you're going to
- 44:56Speaker 3: throw to the back of the wide receiver?
- 44:58Speaker 1: Western Michigan runs out on the field, and the ref's
- 45:01Speaker 1: blowing the whistle. And I'm like, okay, they're going to
- 45:04Speaker 1: make sure it's a big game.
- 45:06Speaker 3: You have to. Honestly, you have to. You have to review.
- 45:08Speaker 3: And now you have review assistants. Are they using it?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they're using it. And everybody starts stepping back. And
- 45:15Speaker 1: I'm thinking. And one of the commentators goes, I think
- 45:18Speaker 1: they're going to put a second on this. He's going
- 45:19Speaker 1: to get another chance about the 45, 50-ish, you know.
- 45:23Speaker 1: And I went, oh, shit. Never did I.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Well, the good thing was that they did not penalize
- 45:29Speaker 2: Western Michigan fans or players for going out on the field.
- 45:35Speaker 1: No, because they did say ball game over. That's why
- 45:39Speaker 1: all that happened.
- 45:40Speaker 3: I know, I know, but they did not.
- 45:41Speaker 2: But the good thing was that they didn't penalize because, hey,
- 45:44Speaker 2: these guys could have been, these refs could have been
- 45:47Speaker 2: real big dicks and said, okay. That is unsportsmanlike foul.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Here's another 15 yards.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I probably think most of the refs thought Western Michigan
- 45:56Speaker 1: was already getting penalized for getting a second back on.
- 46:00Speaker 1: So anyway, somebody on the interweb broke it down by
- 46:04Speaker 1: tenths of a second.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Yes.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And it did have point. They think it had 0.6 seconds, 0.60
- 46:15Speaker 1: of a second left.
- 46:16Speaker 3: 0.06.
- 46:17Speaker 1: If you ran it in as.
- 46:18Speaker 3: 0.06. Yeah.
- 46:18Speaker 1: 0.06.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Yeah,. 06.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Because. 60 is six seconds. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 3: No,. 06.
- 46:24Speaker 1: That's what I meant. So they get another chance and
- 46:28Speaker 1: Underwood throws the, I don't know, ball of his life.
- 46:31Speaker 1: He has to move around a little bit because Western
- 46:33Speaker 1: Michigan did put a little pressure on. And he didn't
- 46:38Speaker 1: throw it out of bounds. He threw it in front.
- 46:40Speaker 1: So the guy catches it right on the line. Crazy play.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Michigan fans run the field. Here's the problem as being
- 46:46Speaker 1: an OU fan. It's now a no fucking win game.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Here's well, hold on. Here's the problem. You rush the
- 46:54Speaker 3: field because you just beats Western Michigan.
- 46:57Speaker 1: On a ref, giving you a second bag.
- 47:00Speaker 3: You don't rush the field beating Western Michigan.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:03Speaker 2: You rush your field, beating Ohio state, beating Indiana, beating
- 47:06Speaker 2: Penn state, Russia fields on those.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Not that.
- 47:12Speaker 1: So then you're just like you said, uh, what's-his-face interviews.
- 47:18Speaker 1: He goes, well, I thought there was a second.
- 47:19Speaker 3: I don't know how you think. There was a second.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I don't think anybody would have known that.
- 47:24Speaker 3: He's being a coach.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Yeah. And.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Well, so it was the same thing. It was the
- 47:29Speaker 3: same thing. I was watching the news and I saw
- 47:31Speaker 3: Drew Rosen... Rosenhaus? Who's the... Who's the... Agent?
- 47:37Speaker 1: Agent.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Yeah. Is it Rosenhaus or Rosen?
- 47:39Speaker 1: Yeah, there's Drew Rosenhaus. Yeah.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 47:41Speaker 2: And I saw him coming on defending the two professional
- 47:45Speaker 2: kids that were going to... And I'm like, of course
- 47:49Speaker 2: you are. You're Xavier Wright's fucking agent.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:53Speaker 3: You want to get paid.
- 47:54Speaker 1: For sure.
- 47:55Speaker 3: You want to get paid there because you get paid
- 47:57Speaker 3: more than if he was in the NFL.
- 47:59Speaker 1: So this Lance Taylor, I'm sorry, his head coach for
- 48:04Speaker 1: Western Michigan. Yeah, they did 10-4 last year. Were first
- 48:07Speaker 1: in the MAAC. Won the Myrtle Beach Bowl, whatever you
- 48:11Speaker 1: would call it.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Oh, it's the Myrtle Beets Bowl.
- 48:13Speaker 1: We should go to it sometime. He's got some good lineage.
- 48:20Speaker 3: He looks like he might not even be there. Notre Dame, Stanford?
- 48:23Speaker 1: Well, he was Notre Dame running backs coach, and Kelly
- 48:25Speaker 1: showed up, and then he didn't keep him. So he
- 48:28Speaker 1: went to Louisville to be the OC under Scott Satterfield,
- 48:33Speaker 1: then left immediately after one season. He's had to rebuild
- 48:37Speaker 1: that program back four and eight, six and seven, ten
- 48:40Speaker 1: and four this year, or last year. Not bad.
- 48:45Speaker 3: But anyway. It's not bad.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Congratulations to Michael Hawkins Jr. He won his first game
- 48:50Speaker 2: in West Virginia, albeit 31-24.
- 48:54Speaker 1: He had some good stats.
- 48:57Speaker 3: He did.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Well, it looks like Bailey from Coastal Carolina, the Chanteliers,
- 49:01Speaker 2: had better stats of 373 yards, three touchdowns. Now, don't
- 49:07Speaker 2: get me wrong, but Didn't West Virginia take our defensive coordinator?
- 49:13Speaker 1: He did.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Is he giving up 373 passing yards and three touchdowns? What?
- 49:17Speaker 2: What?
- 49:20Speaker 1: To Coastal Carolina?
- 49:21Speaker 3: Which? To the Chanteliers?
- 49:23Speaker 1: Haven't they been good lately? Or am I thinking baseball? No,
- 49:26Speaker 1: they were about three or four years ago. Who was that?
- 49:29Speaker 1: And then their coach left, and where's he at now?
- 49:32Speaker 3: Oh, for them?
- 49:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Well, I remember Ben Pogge was Charlotte.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Yes, yes. We're getting our– I'll look that up as
- 49:41Speaker 1: you talk.
- 49:42Speaker 2: We have a weird coaching thing that we just start
- 49:44Speaker 2: remembering old coaches. And Liv Pogge is still one of
- 49:47Speaker 2: my favorites. Houston did have trouble in Houston with Oregon State.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that score being 33-20.
- 49:57Speaker 1: But think about it. It was 24 to nothing, half. So,
- 50:01Speaker 1: Coastal Carolina.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Did get, you know, 24 points.
- 50:03Speaker 1: They started coming back. Yeah, the 24 points. Micah Hawkins,
- 50:06Speaker 1: 11 of 14, 132 yards. one Teddy. Doesn't look like any.
- 50:12Speaker 3: Look, but like Bailey and Copcock Jr. Cop... Cop... Cop... Cop... Junior?
- 50:23Speaker 3: You know, both of them balled out.
- 50:24Speaker 2: If you're looking at the stats of the leaders like
- 50:26Speaker 2: they like to show off to the side here, Bailey,
- 50:30Speaker 2: 373 yards, three touchdowns. Do you think that kid's going
- 50:33Speaker 2: to be there after this season if he ends up
- 50:35Speaker 2: playing as well as he does?
- 50:37Speaker 3: Correct.
- 50:38Speaker 2: And even with the losses, they'll be like, well, he
- 50:40Speaker 2: was at Coastal Carolina. Let's bring him over here. Let's
- 50:43Speaker 2: get him in this system. Let's get him playing this way. Hell,
- 50:47Speaker 2: Bailey may be the next Cinderella on the block.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Well, and there was something trending. It was either on
- 50:51Speaker 1: the X or it was on the news that Rich
- 50:54Speaker 1: Rod made a point to come over and look at
- 50:56Speaker 1: Bailey and go find Bailey because he.
- 51:00Speaker 3: That's the end of the game.
- 51:01Speaker 1: He did play a hell of a game, yes.
- 51:02Speaker 3: At the end of the game. Just so that you know,
- 51:05Speaker 3: there's an offer on the table for you.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Well, maybe it was. $ 3 million.
- 51:11Speaker 3: You finish out the season great. $ 3 million.
- 51:14Speaker 1: You're over here with Rich Rod. See, Deuce was a
- 51:16Speaker 1: Missouri State Bear and then transferred to Coastal Carolina. And
- 51:20Speaker 1: he's from Kentucky. Now, I wonder if he.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Who was he originally?
- 51:25Speaker 1: Missouri State.
- 51:25Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 51:26Speaker 1: And I wonder if he.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Was that when Missouri State?
- 51:30Speaker 1: Well, I wonder if that was when What's-His-Face was there.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 51:35Speaker 1: North Carolina guy. Yeah. Arkansas.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Motorcycle.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Why am I not dropping this? Petrino. No, Petrino. Petrino.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Yes. Look, I'll get to the right name eventually.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Yes.
- 51:45Speaker 3: We all know that.
- 51:46Speaker 1: That is probably why. But, hey, besides Michael Hawkins, had
- 51:49Speaker 1: over 100 yards rushing as well.
- 51:51Speaker 3: Well, yeah, we all knew he was a good rusher. So.
- 51:54Speaker 2: I wanted to see the kid's arm. I wanted to
- 51:57Speaker 2: see Michael do very well.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I think that he probably, you know, 11 of 14.
- 52:04Speaker 1: You know, 100 yards and rush 20 yet rushes for
- 52:07Speaker 1: another over.
- 52:08Speaker 3: But here's the thing. You're you're running back. Cam Cook
- 52:11Speaker 3: went for 142.
- 52:11Speaker 1: He ran well as well. Yes. So they ran all
- 52:15Speaker 1: over Coastal Carolina.
- 52:18Speaker 2: UConn, they beat UL Lafayette. They're still no longer the laughingstock. Nebraska,
- 52:23Speaker 2: this is concerning. 41-21 with University of Ohio.
- 52:28Speaker 1: But Ohio is always that Mac team that's good. I
- 52:32Speaker 1: know Frank's gone.
- 52:34Speaker 2: This was our year of the rule. This was our
- 52:40Speaker 2: year that we picked rule to win nine games.
- 52:43Speaker 1: But look at what they did there.
- 52:46Speaker 3: I got it.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Jamie Chadwell. Oh, but also.
- 52:50Speaker 3: Stat of the week, Army and Navy both rushed together
- 52:55Speaker 3: for over 1,000 yards. They both had 500 yards apiece. Rushing.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Jamie Chadwell was his last three years at Coastal Carolina.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 53:08Speaker 1: 31 and 6. Yes, and now he's at Liberty. 4-8
- 53:14Speaker 1: last year, and he's already off to 0-1 starts, so
- 53:16Speaker 1: not looking good there.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Well, I mean, you did just lose to James Madison 20-13. But, hey.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Hey, congratulations to Billy. Billy, Billy, Billy. Billy at Florida.
- 53:28Speaker 3: Napier.
- 53:29Speaker 1: His first win as coach. You know, Billy took over
- 53:31Speaker 1: the James Madison job. After he got fired from Florida
- 53:34Speaker 1: and Bob Chesney went to UCLA, which we didn't talk
- 53:36Speaker 1: about that game.
- 53:36Speaker 3: Oh, Napier's in Madison? Yes.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Let's talk about UCLA. Let's get to that game. I
- 53:40Speaker 1: think that's the only good one left.
- 53:41Speaker 3: How about Pittsburgh putting it on Miami?
- 53:43Speaker 1: It's good they had some offense.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Of Ohio.
- 53:45Speaker 1: It's good they had some offense. Because Pitt usually— Oh,
- 53:47Speaker 1: did you.
- 53:48Speaker 3: See the crazy— let' s just jump to the Southern Missouri State
- 53:52Speaker 3: game and the Iowa State game. Did you see that
- 53:55Speaker 3: crazy interception?
- 53:56Speaker 1: Which one now? What game?
- 53:58Speaker 3: Iowa State. I did not.
- 53:59Speaker 2: So the dude is literally laid back, one-handed interception.
- 54:04Speaker 1: I dig it.
- 54:05Speaker 2: It's a highlight reel if he was a wide receiver.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I'd be like, maybe we should look at putting that
- 54:09Speaker 2: kid in a wide receiver position.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Or you go get him, pay him a little money.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Well, isn't that what everybody's looking at now?
- 54:19Speaker 3: Okay, do you want to go to the UCLA? You
- 54:21Speaker 3: want to talk about Baylor Offering because it pops up first.
- 54:23Speaker 3: Which one?
- 54:24Speaker 1: Oh, we can talk. Yeah, go ahead and lead with
- 54:25Speaker 1: that one.
- 54:26Speaker 2: All right, Baylor-Auburn, 17-16. Nailbiter, heartbreaker, however you want to
- 54:31Speaker 2: look at it. It was at, wasn't this held in
- 54:36Speaker 2: the Georgia Dome, I believe?
- 54:38Speaker 3: This was in Atlanta? Which one?
- 54:43Speaker 1: I think that was, you sure it wasn't Dallas?
- 54:47Speaker 2: I don't, well, I mean, Auburn's the home team. Let
- 54:50Speaker 2: me just jump over here and look at the gamecast.
- 54:53Speaker 2: But DJ Lagway played like.
- 54:56Speaker 1: He should have been playing. It was the insurance kickoff.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:58Speaker 1: What's the duck one?
- 54:59Speaker 3: Half-lag. Half-lag, yeah. But that's what I said. I think
- 55:03Speaker 3: it's in Georgia. Might be. DJ Lagway played like he
- 55:07Speaker 3: was supposed to. Yep. It's Mercedes-Benz down in Georgia. Okay.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Hey, going back real quick as you come up with that,
- 55:15Speaker 1: the Mason Heinzel, the quarterback from Pitt, we were talking
- 55:19Speaker 1: about offense.
- 55:20Speaker 3: No, you said it's fine. You said we can skip it.
- 55:22Speaker 1: No, but I want to talk about that was something
- 55:25Speaker 1: that went under the cover a lot. Under the radar? Yeah,
- 55:29Speaker 1: that quarterback said he had a really good freshman year, quietly.
- 55:35Speaker 1: And their coach, what's his name?
- 55:38Speaker 3: I can see it.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Narduzzi.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Narduzzi.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Made a comment that it took.
- 55:41Speaker 3: I don't know why you're asking me for names.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I knew you'd know a weird one like that. He
- 55:47Speaker 1: reminds me of Indiana's coach, but in a weird way,
- 55:51Speaker 1: Cignetti in a weird way.
- 55:52Speaker 2: I'll tell you right now, one of my favorite commercials
- 55:54Speaker 2: that did come on was the State Farm with Cignetti.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Did you catch that?
- 56:04Speaker 3: Cignetti never changes expression.
- 56:08Speaker 2: The whole time they keep going, he just.
- 56:11Speaker 3: The standard Jake mistake part never changes.
- 56:14Speaker 1: 453 yards, zero interceptions.
- 56:16Speaker 3: I am smiling so much right now.
- 56:17Speaker 1: And seven touchdowns is what his stats were yesterday. Now,
- 56:22Speaker 1: if you look, and I think the Big Ten is
- 56:24Speaker 1: the one. Pitt.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Pitt's ACC.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Shit, they are ACC, and that's the one I don't have.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Pitt might be better than what we thought. Well, I
- 56:34Speaker 1: had him a little higher than you did, if I'm
- 56:35Speaker 1: not mistaken.
- 56:36Speaker 3: You did, but here's an issue. Virginia may be better
- 56:39Speaker 3: than what we thought. That is true. Let's get back.
- 56:43Speaker 1: We're kind of bouncing around. Sorry. We've got so much football.
- 56:45Speaker 3: We might have fucked the ACC up.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I've got to find mine because I don't even know.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I can't even float. Yeah, I don't even know what
- 56:51Speaker 1: you're doing. I'm going to have to figure out what
- 56:53Speaker 1: episode it is and listen to it so I can gloat.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Oh, it's listed. Okay.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Baylor loses a nail-biter. This is Dave Aranda needed
- 57:01Speaker 2: to win. This is Alex Golish's first game as a
- 57:06Speaker 2: head coach in Auburn.
- 57:09Speaker 3: It's a 17-16 game.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Now, granted, we don't have either of these teams going
- 57:13Speaker 2: to a national title or even into the playoff.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I did have Auburn a little better than you did.
- 57:18Speaker 1: I think I went in seven.
- 57:20Speaker 3: I know. But Dave Aranda really needed a win.
- 57:25Speaker 2: Lagway, I know that guy definitely needs a win. But
- 57:30Speaker 2: it came down to a goal line stand. Lagway threw
- 57:35Speaker 2: it to the receiver's back shoulder. when he should have
- 57:38Speaker 2: led him into the end zone.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Yeah, throw it over the top of his shoulder.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Even when you look at Winner, as Winner gets tackled,
- 57:49Speaker 2: Winner looked like he thought he was in.
- 57:51Speaker 3: He thought he had crossed the line.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I would agree.
- 57:54Speaker 3: Because the way that he went down, he thought he
- 57:56Speaker 3: was already across it. And I get that.
- 57:58Speaker 2: As a receiver, you're running because he was running that sideline,
- 58:02Speaker 2: or he was running that goal line. And you could
- 58:06Speaker 2: tell that he thought, when he went down as he
- 58:08Speaker 2: turned to catch the football, that he had crossed that
- 58:11Speaker 2: line and he had not.
- 58:13Speaker 3: He was still just like a half inch in front
- 58:17Speaker 3: of it. Comes down 17-16. Auburn Tigers win. Take it.
- 58:19Speaker 3: You go for it on the two.
- 58:21Speaker 1: I mean, I get it. But one thing that stood
- 58:22Speaker 1: out to the game to me, Lagway did not play
- 58:23Speaker 1: the greatest. He was 50%. 27-54. He did the math
- 58:25Speaker 1: for me on that.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Better than.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Florida.
- 58:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Two touchdowns.
- 58:38Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 58:39Speaker 1: One pick. He also, he did lose a few yards rushing.
- 58:44Speaker 1: But Auburn, on the other hand, you know, Bryce.
- 58:47Speaker 3: Not Bryce. Bryce Brown. Not Bryce. I'm sorry.
- 58:51Speaker 1: It's Byron Brown.
- 58:53Speaker 3: You're Bryce Brown now.
- 58:55Speaker 1: 26 to 35, 259 yards, but three picks.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:59Speaker 1: And that's probably what, you know, the offense was very stagnant.
- 59:02Speaker 3: On both sides. Okay, so this game was literally just
- 59:04Speaker 3: a fun game.
- 59:06Speaker 1: Because football's back and it's close. Yeah.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Not really for the general. audience, but for the fans
- 59:11Speaker 2: of Baylor and the Baptist. The Baptist and the rich
- 59:15Speaker 2: kids on the plains.
- 59:17Speaker 1: But it was a fun game to watch.
- 59:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:21Speaker 1: And then we already talked about the other night game,
- 59:24Speaker 1: which was Clemson LSU.
- 59:25Speaker 3: At least Baylor covered, because they were a six and
- 59:27Speaker 3: a half point underdog.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's going to get him that extra
- 59:31Speaker 1: win in the conference room and the AD wants to
- 59:33Speaker 1: can his ass.
- 59:35Speaker 3: It may. You don't know. He might be a gambler.
- 59:37Speaker 1: And you talk about every team wanting him as a DC.
- 59:40Speaker 3: I know that Oklahoma said online gambling. I think that
- 59:43Speaker 3: they just got over that. What do you mean? Like Stake.com
- 59:49Speaker 3: and Casino USA.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Oh, but not sports betting yet.
- 59:55Speaker 3: No, no, you can't do it. They're like, they're the thing.
- 59:58Speaker 3: came up and said that as of October 30th, 2026,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: you can't.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: In Oklahoma.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: In Oklahoma, you can't do it.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Come on, New Gov. You can do this. We want
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to gamble.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: We do.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I could retire. I'm so good at it.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: He spends all of his winnings paying for his truck.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Buy a Ford, ladies and gentlemen, because it's going to
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: go boop, boop, boop.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: All right. Anything else besides that? I want to talk
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: about that.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: I'm getting down to it. Every time I go back,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: it doesn't. Look at Boston College. Boston College fighting there
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: against Cincinnati, 15 points. Tulane shot the bet against Duke, 17-3.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: The Citadel beating Charlotte by.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Two points in triple overtime. Navy beating Townsend. UTSA beating UTRG.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: It's a lot of acronyms. V?
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Is that what it is?
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: A lot of acronyms.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Fordham, North Dakota. I'm trying to find it, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: It's down here. Little Vandy Austin P, 28-9. Kansas State,
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: they're back.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Jim Mora Jr. 71-3. Jim Mora Jr. won his debut
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: as coach at Colorado State of Wyoming.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: I did see that. I did see that.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Memphis' coach won their debut over Arkansas State.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Barely. They were down.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Those are two pretty good teams.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Is old fucking, what's
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: his name, still in Arkansas State? Look at their head coach.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: It's a guy that looks like he's going to cut
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: your face off.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and he used to coach at Missouri? Yeah, I
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: think so. I don't know what Missouri was it.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: I don't remember. It's fine to me. I love the
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: picture of that guy. I remember Tulsa playing Arkansas State,
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: and I was like, why do you keep showing this guy?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Why can I not think of his damn name?
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: I can't either.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Butch Jones.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: Butch Jones. Oh, Butch. All right, UCLA Cal.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Now, this game was really good up until the fourth quarter.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Butch was head coach at Tennessee. Sorry. Remember, he was
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: a Tennessee head coach.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Look at his picture. He's so creepy.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Yeah, he's always an angry-looking guy.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: That one's bad. That's not him.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: That one. Yeah.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: Look at the older ones. He's just scowling on the sidelines.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: You know what, he's not had a good run there,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Early start.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: I think he's had a decent enough run that he's
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: just got a job for life.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: That's possible. Well, and that's the deal is Arkansas State's like, hey,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: let's just keep him because everybody knew we'd get last
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: two years and they go somewhere else.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Let's keep this one for a while. All right, so
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: UCLA 45-24 over Cal. I think we might have had
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Cal winning this game.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I did.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: I did. UCLA's coach is.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Bob Chesney.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: Bob Chesney.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: No relation to Kenny, I don't think.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Our favorite country singer. He was the coach of James
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: Madison last year. The one that got James Madison into
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: the bowl. Now, you cannot argue that that was the
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: team that he inherited.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: You can no longer... No longer say that. From Cignetti.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: Because Cignetti took a lot of his guys. Sure. To Indiana.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: He gets to UCLA. I wouldn't have expected a 45-24.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: Cal's got a new head coach as well.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Tosh Lupoi, yeah. From OC for Oregon.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: Right. 45-24 is not the score that I expected it
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: to be.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: But it was close. Up until the fourth, and the
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: fourth got stupid.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Everything for Cal.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: 21 unanswered points for UCLA.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: The, I think the, this, I gotta, let me see
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: if I can pronounce his name. It's Sagapulateli. Sagapulateli.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Is he? Yeah. Is he some kind of Samoan Italian?
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: He's got that, yeah. He's good.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Sagapulateli.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: He did not have a great game. But he was good.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but how much better did Amalavia?
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: He got hurt, too, so I'm not sure. He was 1420,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: 184 yards, one touchdown. I think it was the run
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: game that really hurt them as far as Cal.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: It looks like Cal had 120 yards.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: No, in rushing. UCLA had 277 yards.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: Oh, my. Oh, my.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: And they averaged eight carries a play.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: It looks like Ayamalava played the whole game.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: He did, but he got hurt at the very end.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I don't think he's going to be. I don't think
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: it's a bad team.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: It was bad enough that the Cal Bears had to
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: set Spagatula Telly.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: And bring in Jackson Brasho. I'm going to.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Say it like it's Louisiana.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: I mean, come on. Ahmad Muhammad had 120 yards on
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: 28 carries.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Anthony Woods had 118 yards on eight carries.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Huge difference. Ankle injury.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: He did get carted off, left the game after. Huge difference.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: So that was towards the end of the game. I
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: don't know if they've mentioned anything as far as his.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: His what?
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: They said it's not as severe as they once thought.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Bob Chesney said he's good. He just got his calf
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: kind of got cleated there at the end and cramping
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: up as a combination of that. So it wasn't any
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: upper ankle sprain like they was afraid of. And UCLA's
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: backup is his younger brother, Madden Amalavia. But no stats there.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Yes, Pikey wonders that Michigan may not be the team
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: that we thought they were.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Well, we know that. We definitely know that.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: Who said that? They're not who we thought they were.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: They are who we thought they were.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Dennis Green, I believe. Denny Green. I think it was
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Denny Green when he was at the Cardinals.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: Was that? No. What?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: When he was at the Cardinals. He got fired from
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Minnesota and went to the Cardinals. They are who they
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: thought they were. They are who we thought they were.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Because whoever it was beat the hell out of them.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: So, going somewhere?
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we got that.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Bring me a pop. That's where I'm going. Okay. All right.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Anything else?
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: No, I think that was the end of it.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Saga Palatuli. But he looks obviously talented. It's going to
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: be tough. He was talented in his freshman year. It's
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: going to be tough to keep him. It looks like
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: there's a lot of quarterbacks that are going to be
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: tough to keep. Well, that Pitt one as well.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: So, all right.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Let's get to some off-the-wall sports news that Sean really
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: doesn't care about but I wanted to talk about because
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I am, in fact, a– basketball fan he is not
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: and i want to talk a little bit about which
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: will be never shut up so last week the la
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: clippers who have been the thunder's favorite favorite uh other
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: nba team simply because of them giving the trade of
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the century to us, and we got Shea at 900 picks.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I'm going to ask you that. I still think we
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: get picked. I think we've got one more pick.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Did you lose those picks? Did you lose their picks?
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: No, because it... No, no, no, no, no, because it... Well,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I don't know about any other teams, but I know
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: we're clear. So, starting in 29, the Clippers lose five
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: first-round draft picks. Ballmer was issued a $ 30 million fine,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: which is a drop in the bucket to him. Kawhi
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Leonard was ordered to pay $ 700, 000. And restitution. Jump in
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: a bucket.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: And he's.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Spending on whores. And he is not. I see that trade.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: He's supposed to be going to Toronto and the NBA
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: put a stop to that. So there's a trade in
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: place for Kawhi Leonard to go back to Toronto.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Oh, so he's not back.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Not yet. I don't think that they announced it, but
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: it didn't suspend him. So I think it's going to
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: be okay. Yeah.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: I knew that something was weird and he was, he
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: was going, he was headed somewhere and.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: So, president of basketball operations, Lawrence Frank, who used to
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: be a coach for the Nets, if you remember him, short,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: registered guy, suspended for six months. President of business operations,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Gillian Zucker, suspended for one year. But here's the juicy one.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Owner Steve Ballmer suspended one whole year, and that's going
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: to kill him. Can't go in the stadium, can't be around.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I mean, he can't be around anything as far as
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: when it comes to the team.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Now, can't he just invite the cheerleaders over to his house?
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: He probably could. He could watch them on TV. Yeah.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: You to do the whole game for me.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: But the statement from the NBA said, found a pattern
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: of misconduct, a multiple significant rules violations by the Clippers organizations,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: a prior offender of the salary cap circumvention rules.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Right. We knew that's what they were looking into because
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: he was being paid.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: He was being paid by the business associate. Yeah. So
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: he was getting extra money on the side for not
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: doing jack shit. And, and this, excuse me, credit Pablo Torre.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: He's a podcast journalist. He brought this up in 25 and,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: and mentioned about a $ 28 million endorsement contract between Leonard
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: and aspiration fund advisory LLC, a company that filed for
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: bankruptcy last year, broke league rules and, Aspiration co-founder Joseph
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Sandberg was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison, pleading
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: guilty to defrauding investors and lenders of at least $ 248 million.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: My God.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: Sounds like a Jew.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I mean, these people.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: Sounds like it was Jew money.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: So all, essentially, it was just spun around. And like
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: I said, kudos to Pablo Torre because he figured it out.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: And his, his, uh.
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: You don't have to drink a beer there. No, his, uh.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Maybe not less cigarettes.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Not accreditation.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: What am I thinking of when you, you're, you're, um.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: His investigative reporting?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not his credentials. It's his character. It
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: was being essentially judged as being like he was making
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: this shit up, like no one was believing him.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: Oh, he was being attacked.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: They were trying to make him.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Okay, they were attacking his, they were attacking, literally just
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: attacking his character.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Yeah, his character and his credibility. That's the word I
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: was looking for, credibility. So because they were actually– they
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: were actually essentially saying, okay, what he's reporting is not true,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: or he's making up, or he's just trying to get
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: clicks or whatever.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Well, it went through the same thing as that Shirley
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: kid when he started busting everybody for the fraud in
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: Minnesota and for the daycares and all that. They were like, oh,
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: he's nobody. He's just a YouTuber. And then they went
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: and looked. The federal government went and looked and said, oh,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: you guys are really stealing money.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Well, and this one, not necessarily was stealing, but the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Clippers owner was trying.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: No, it was stealing. It's literally stealing.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: But not this. He's getting it paid for legitimately.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: It's how you pay players and not pay players.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Well, but I don't think.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: But I do think the trade is going to go
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: down with them and the Clippers.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: Oh, that's fine. But you're still losing your first rounders.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: But it almost... Doesn't it seem like Kawhi's getting off
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: easy on this? I mean, he knew he was doing
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: something wrong. He was accepting.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: I know. Okay.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: How do you judge that?
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: Right. Kawhi is just getting paid.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: Now, do you think Kawhi looks and sees how he's
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: getting paid or that he's just getting paid?
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Well, no, he knows he's got to be getting paid
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: from outside sources.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: But that's what I'm saying.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Do you think he looked at how he was getting
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: paid or that he was just getting paid? I can
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: tell you right now that Kawhi was probably just like,
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: You don't tell me. Just give me the money.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: But in 2015, they were also fined $ 250, 000 for violating
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: rules against offering unauthorized business or investment opportunities to players
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: as they pursued free agent DeAndre Jordan at the time.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: So here's some free shit here. It's almost like cheating
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: in the old days in college football. That's the back story.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Boosters used to get around by paying.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: And then we'll pay in the backside. We'll give you
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: a scholarship for your time.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: This is what you're getting. This is what your parents
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: are getting.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Now here's your fat-ass contract, but I know you want more,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: so we're going to spin it around the backside.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: You know, staying in California, I do have a question.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: I know that San Diego.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: I know you've never been down there, but they're rebuilding
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: a stadium, arena more, not really a stadium, but arena.
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: And I'm wondering if.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: They're going to be trying to move the Clippers back
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: down to San Diego or start a hockey team down there.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: Because I know they've got the Pelicans. And so it's
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: curious to me that they're going to be putting in.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Well, Palmer's not moving. Palmer is definitely not moving. I'm
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: looking to see what they're building.
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, look at that huge arena they're building there.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: It looks like they might be trying to get a
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: sports team back in there, a professional sports team back in.
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: Since it's just the Padres.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: It's called the Midway Rising Redevelopment Project, which was passed.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: It's a fast-track legislative deal in August of 2026.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: People are pissed because there's a lot of flooding that
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: could happen with it. But I know you've never been
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: down in that area.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Multi-thousand seat professional sports arena envisioned as a 25-story structure.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: Oh, damn.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: They're putting housing in.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: It, too. 4,200 new residential units, 15 acres of public
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: parks on 58 acres in the Midway... Point Loma.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: So it really looks like they're trying to get another
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: professional team in there.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Where did they play when they were the Chargers? What
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: was that stadium called?
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: Qualcomm.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Qualcomm, but was it called something before that?
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: Joe Robbie?
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Or was that Miami's?
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: No, that's Miami.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: That was Miami's, wasn't it?
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium is Literally, right as
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: you get into San Diego proper, the way that the
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: highways go, they go around it.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: And it's just laying there dying.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Jack Murphy was the guy's name. It was before they
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: paid out.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: And I think that they're just waiting on it. I
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: think they use it for.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Demolish. No, it's demolish.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: Oh, did they finally tear it down?
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Yes, yes. They built the snap, snap. Snapdragon Stadium.
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: Qualcomm. Qualcomm Snapdragon.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Well, no, they tore it down and built a new one.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: And the Snapdragon Stadium is for what?
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Snapdragon's Qualcomm. Okay.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Oh, that's the same company? Yeah.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Snapdragon is the chips that we have on our phone.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Oh, I got you.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Jesus, I have to teach him everything. Current update on Washington.
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: Washington State is just 10 to nothing. And it is
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: 148 left in the second with Washington driving. They are
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: on their own 37, second and four. Looks like the
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: last play was a no huddle. Williams Jr. Pass. Complete
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: short left to Roebuck. Caught at the 32, six yards
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: to the Washington 37.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: That's San Diego State University's field.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: Oh, that's the Aztecs. So the Aztecs are using that? Yes,
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: that is correct.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: And I think they... They're right there. I mean, they're
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: literally right there. I think they're doing some soccer and.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: Stuff as well.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: But at the same time, that used to be a
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: very beautiful stadium. And they could do it since they
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: tore it down.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: And I guess... I don't know what they built back there.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: I haven't been there to see it.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Well, a portion of that is obviously there at that stadium.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: But as I said, they are doing that huge arena down.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Literally downtown SeaWorld area.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: There was 135 acres of Qualcomm. And the city of
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: San Diego sold it to San Diego State University.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: They have it all. SDSU. Yes.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: All 135 acres for $ 88 million.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: But they still got Qualcomm to pay for the name
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: rights after they built it.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: I guess so. That sounds pretty good. So it's just
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: their stadium. No professional teams going back there.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: But does that mean that a basketball team wouldn't go
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: back there?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: That's $ 651, 000 an acre. Holy shit.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: That's pretty normal. You got to think, most of that's
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: a million dollars an acre.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Well, they paid pretty close. Doesn't look like the city
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: of San Diego paid to give them a deal. That's
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: a lot of damn money.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: Well, they wouldn't. The city of San Diego needs that
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: money because they're running out of money.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: That's probably true. Hey, every city's running out of money.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: So support your local government, okay? We're trying to do
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: our best.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: No, don't pay taxes. Take your taxes back. Make them
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: work for you.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: Some people are getting paid too much.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I also wanted to talk a little bit before we
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: get into it.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: Especially you, Clare Moore. You heard me.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: We'll close on baseball, but I wanted to talk.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: No, we don't have to close on baseball.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: But I did want to talk a little bit about
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Tiger Woods. That was some news that came out. Oh, yeah.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Tiger Woods did get a deferred sentence. Let me spit
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: that out. Five years took a deferred sentence. Five years
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: without his license, reckless driving, and the refusal to submit
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: to a chemical test. Which I'm thinking, damn, is that
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: all it takes? You don't have to refuse to take
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: the test to get deferred?
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Well, you're also not a famous ex-golfer that never won anything.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: $ 1, 500 was the fine total. And a stern warning from
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Judge Darren Steele that if you're driving anywhere on public
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: roads for any reason, you'll be sent directly to jail.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: And no golf carts, no side-by-sides, because those were car licenses, too,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: in the state of Florida. So... There you go, five years,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: no license. Which, that drunk bastard or druggie bastard or
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: whatever he was that he's on, he's rich enough to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: have a driver. That would have been priority number one.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and you also got to remember, isn't he banging
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: Trump's niece or something?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that said something that the kids
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: couldn't ride with him. They started that before the license
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: got suspended.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: Right, baseball, White Sox are still two games up. Thank God.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: Did they play today?
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: Not yet. Until we can catch up. I hope you
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: shut your... I hope you stumble and break.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Your toe.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Current standings have not changed much. Guardians are chasing... Well,
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: we're all winning about... We're playing 500 baseball the whole time.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: Oh, good, we are. You guys are 8-4 for like
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: a month. Yes.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Tampa Bay still in first over New York Yankees.
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: Boston's right behind them.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: 520 first pitch. Twins at White Sox. So go Twins.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: White Sox still over Cardigans.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I hope you break it down. You know what?
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: I hope you lose all of your turbo.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: So that's 100.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: Astros.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Indians have played 144 games. So to put that, it's
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: about 18 games left.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Can you stop with the numbers? Yeah. Oh,
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: I meant to pull those up. Shit. What? I meant
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: to put that. Hold on. I'll show you. Well, look
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: at me.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Putting all kinds of ideas in your head.
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: No, no. You didn't put the ideas. I just forgot. Well,
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: I forgot. This is why I forgot, because the folder
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: screwed up on me. So it's this.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: So we're pulling it. Oh, I got you.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: So I've got the end of September schedules as a desktop.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: And right now.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: So we go to Baltimore.
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you're going to be playing Baltimore.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Does it show home and away on that?
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: I'm guessing that the light colored is away, as it
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: says right here.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: And the dark color is home, as it says right here.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: I didn't see that, bitch.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Oh, I know.
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I know we have a six game road at the end.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: We don't go.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: We're not home for. I think the A's is it.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: Yeah, so what's left in Cleveland is a three-game stint.
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: Juicy, juicy right there. It's also Roberto Clemente Day.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Oh, well, we're definitely going to lose that one.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: I was like, is that for us or them? No,
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: I just needed you to see that. I meant to
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: actually have that up.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: So we talk about our teams.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: This is what I did last year.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: We talk about our teams. We match up three games
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: next week. Not tomorrow, Monday, but starting the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: Second to last week of the season.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: That'll be at Cleveland.
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: We just saw Atlanta come back in a.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Did they win?
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: They did. Okay. Yeah. We just saw Atlanta come back.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: We watched the end of the Braves-Phillies game, and they
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: came back in a very dramatic way.
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: They were down 4-1, end up winning 5-4.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Was that the final?
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: Yep. Yeah, I told you. I was like, it's over.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Right there, yeah.
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: Because then it went to the Washington State game. Gotcha.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: Brewers are still the team to beat. They're holding four
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: games above the Dodgers. Is that what that works out to?
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: Well, I don't know.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: I wonder why the Dodgers are so behind. They had
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: a bad week. The Brewers have been steady.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Just games-wise, though. It's quite a bit of a game difference,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: isn't it?
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: Three. Yeah. No, two.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: They might play tonight, though, too. They're usually the night games.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't... It's so late out there.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: So, currently, the standings have not really changed dramatically in
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: any way. Still looking at all the same teams going
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: as we talked about last week.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: It's about nothing. I mean, the race really is for
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: our division. What's the... Hey, go back to that, though, Sean.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: What was the wild card matchup.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: Now, though? It's still the same. You sure?
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: So, did.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: Why did Toronto lose? Because remember, we were a game
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: and a half ahead of them.
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: They're still at 500.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: Click on the wild card.
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: Let's look. Sorry, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: I have to do what Kim Jong-un says.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you're still right there.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: We're just a game now. Yeah, so it was a
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: game and a half last time we looked.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: But either way, you're still... Nothing's changed. Tony Romo news.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: He has a great DUI picture. Saw that finally.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: He did make a comment. So is he going to
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: get fired?
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: He's off of TV as far as I know.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Are you sure they made that official? Did they?
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: For now. He's off of TV for now.
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: NFL starts next week with one of our worst games
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: that nobody cares about.
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: It's a rematch of.
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: The Super Bowl champions, and you've heard me bitch about
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: not wanting to watch that anymore.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: Well, okay, so.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: I just said he's suspended for now.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: I don't know if it's... Over-reliance on alcohol on Tuesday's statement.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Multiple back injuries. Breast cancer to end. Followed by him
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: growing dependent on pain medication.
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: Multiple back injuries. He did. Name five.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Well, multiple just got to be two.
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: No, we watched.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Growing dependent on pain medication.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: I just didn't know if you knew. Hold on. I
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: didn't know if you knew the hits.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: We said I hopes to make a return to TV,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: but did they make that official?
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: I said, like I said, for now, he's off. Gotcha.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: I think they're waiting until it goes through. the full
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: litigation to say whether he's off or, hey, go to rehab,
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: we'll let you come back.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Gotcha.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: I'm just telling you that I ran across it. I
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: know Josh Jacobs is out for a while.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Well, I mean, you're making a guy making $ 18 million
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: a year. I mean, CBS could go, hey, you can
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: hire Kenny Weiss for, I don't know, a million a year,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and I won't call the place.
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: They'll give you three grand. Ha ha ha.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Hey, Sports Electric would do it a year for free.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: As long as you pay our expenses. We could do that.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: And Big Per Diem over here.
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: Yeah. That's my new nickname, Big Per Diem.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Oh, shit. And so it'd be a deal.
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: It'd be a steal.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: And people would not hate us like they hate Tony Romo.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: Hey, and you don't have to worry about the height
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: difference of, like, a Dusty Dvorak versus.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Sean won't have to stand on a crater.
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody has to stand on a box. I mean,
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: I can if I want to.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: All right, anything else?
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: God, we've been a long time today.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: We did. Football started. Well, we will be back. Hopefully
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: for next week we'll have Thursday.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Looks like Thursday. We won't have any predictions.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: NFL, like I said, NFL starting Wednesday. Go Seahawks.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: What is the Thursday game?
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: Go Seahawks. What is that Thursday game? Uh, fantasy guys,
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: remember to get your, your lineup set. Look out for
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: your injuries.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: Wednesday.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: Yes. And don't trust.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: Oh, it's a Niners Rams in Melbourne.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Oh, that's the Netflix one that night.
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: What time?
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Seven. So we'll have time for that.
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: And, uh, do not, do not trust, uh, a waste child,
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: not Kenny. Because you can literally talk to him about
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: a fantasy trade. But as for one of the children,
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: they like to add to it whenever they put one
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: person up for a trade.
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: Knowing full well they just need that guy.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: So just say it at the beginning.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: Yeah, just say it. Just say you want more.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: As with the SEC, it's always more.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: It's more. It's more.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: All right, well, thanks for joining us for this long episode.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Seahawks beat the Patriots in the rematch next Wednesday. Enjoy
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: your NFL debut, and we'll see you Thursday. Goodbye. Bye.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: Thanks for watching!
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: So so Thanks for watching!
