- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello, Christians.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: This is Dallas Beecham.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Stand by for good news.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Today's good news comes from Philippians 1 6, being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Let that assurance settle into your heart.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: As we come to the end of the week, it is easy to look back and see things we wish we had done differently.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Tasks unfinished, conversations unresolved, moments where we didn't feel as strong, as patient, or as faithful as we hoped.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: But Philippians 1 6 reminds us of something powerful.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: The good work in your life didn't start with you.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: It started with God.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Your salvation, your growth, your calling, your transformation, your journey of faith.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: All of it began because God initiated it.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: You are not the author of your story.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: He is.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Paul says he is confident, not unsure, not hopeful, not guessing, confident that God continues the work he began.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: That means your spiritual progress doesn't depend on your perfection.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: It depends on God's faithfulness.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Even when you feel stuck, even when you feel discouraged, even when you feel like you're taking a step backward, God is still working.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: He doesn't abandon his projects.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: He doesn't quit halfway.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: He doesn't lose interest.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: He doesn't give up on you.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: The same God who began the work is the God who continues it.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: God will finish the work.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: The verse goes even further.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: He will perform it.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: He will complete it, finish it, bring it to the full maturity.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: God is not building something temporary in you.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: He is building something eternal.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: He is shaping you into the image of Christ.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: He is forming your character, strengthening your faith, developing your trust and preparing you for glory.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: And He will not stop until the work is done.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Your story is not defined by your failures, it is defined by God's commitment.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Your future is not shaped by your weakness, it is shaped by His promise.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Your destiny is not held together by your strength, it is held together by His sovereignty.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: So as you close out this week, lift your heart with confidence.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Not confidence in yourself, confidence in God.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: He began the work, He continues the work, and He will finish the work.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Whatever this week looked like, whatever you wish had gone differently, whatever you're still praying about, God is still writing your story, and He writes it with purpose, with patience, and with perfect faithfulness.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: When you feel unfinished, say God began the work.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: When you feel discouraged, say God continues the work.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: When you feel uncertain, say God will finish the work.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Let his promise steady your heart, and when you are up to your neck in the problems of life, you can say with confidence, none of these things move me.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Join us each weekday for five minutes of good news.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I pray the good news today blessed your heart, strengthens your faith, and causes you to have a good day.
