- 0:01People who reside in communities adjacent to the beach regularly
- 0:05see visitors stretched out on the sand, ostensibly sleeping
- 0:10while working on their tan, in some cases for the entire stay
- 0:14of a vacation. When asked, these people
- 0:18indicate that they are taking a well earned vacation and just
- 0:21want to have an opportunity to rest, shut down their mental
- 0:25faculties and absorb the sun's rays.
- 0:29They do not speak about trying to achieve any higher state of
- 0:32conscious awareness. Rather they do what they can to
- 0:36reduce the conscious state to the absolute minimum of the body
- 0:40consciousness as may be possible.
- 0:44This relatively innocuous situation may replace many other
- 0:48forms of dissipation, such as getting drunk or getting high on
- 0:52drugs, or engaging in promiscuous sex, or engaging in
- 0:57otherwise mindless activities simply to have fun.
- 1:02Then there is the consumption of mass media, whether television,
- 1:06motion pictures or social media on the Internet, and the
- 1:10engagement in various forms of behaviour that waste time and
- 1:14focus, such as having arguments on the Internet or using social
- 1:19media to demean or belittle others for something in their
- 1:22appearance or lifestyle. All of these then become part of
- 1:28the burden that gets stored away in the memory and in the very
- 1:32cells of the body, and thus can rise up whenever the proper
- 1:37trigger of sight, sound, smell or touch opens up that capsule
- 1:44of memory. It is no wonder then that when
- 1:47an individual turns to spiritual development, he finds there is
- 1:52an entire habitual pattern of triggered memories and reactions
- 1:56that come up continually and work to obstruct or divert the
- 2:01attention from the focus on the spiritual pursuits.
- 2:05It may be a song from 1's youth or some experience one had along
- 2:10the way that rises up and needs to be dealt with in some fashion
- 2:15in order for the focus on the spiritual progress to be
- 2:18restored and become effective. The seeker soon begins to
- 2:23recognize that all acts of dissipation, lowering of the
- 2:27consciousness, whether resurrected from the past or
- 2:31occurring as part of a present response pattern, cause
- 2:35tremendous tiredness and fatigue, both through the
- 2:39sapping of energy and through the closing off of access to
- 2:43sources of new energy from a higher level of consciousness.
- 2:49As the seeker begins to experience the deep peace that
- 2:52comes with the quiet meditative state that has turned towards
- 2:56the higher planes of consciousness force, he can
- 2:59recognize that he feels refreshed, energized,
- 3:04reinvigorated through contact with this higher force.
- 3:09While most individuals who have not awakened to the spiritual
- 3:13quest as of yet will not make the effort, the spiritual seeker
- 3:18who has become aware of the differences in these things
- 3:21clearly can get a benefit that reduces fatigue, increases
- 3:26energy and the power of concentration, and thus can
- 3:30become an instrument of both enhanced action and enhanced
- 3:34energy in his life. We frequently find that
- 3:38dedicated spiritual practitioners tend to have
- 3:41tremendous amounts of energy available to them, which only
- 3:45increases the more they tap into the higher energetic levels
- 3:49beyond the normal consciousness of the body, life and mind, the
- 3:55Mother writes. Quote What does that relaxation
- 4:01mean? For most men it means always
- 4:05coming down to a lower level. They do not know that for a true
- 4:09relaxation one must rise 1° higher.
- 4:13One must rise above oneself. If one goes down, it adds to 1's
- 4:18fatigue and brings a stupefaction.
- 4:21Besides, each time one comes down, 1 increases the load of
- 4:25the subconscious. This huge subconscious load
- 4:28which one must clean and clean if one wants to mount, and which
- 4:33is like fetters on the feet. It is not by sinking below
- 4:38oneself that one removes fatigue.
- 4:41One must climb the ladder and there one has true rest, because
- 4:46one has the inner peace, the light, the universal energy.
- 4:52And little by little one puts oneself in touch with the truth,
- 4:56which is the very reason of 1's existence.
- 5:00If you contact that definitively, it removes
- 5:04completely all fatigue. End Quote reference.
