- 0:25Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome back to Pinkyboo Hauntings. I'll be you
- 0:28Speaker 1: witchy hosts shy, and I'll be your guide to all
- 0:31Speaker 1: things paranormal, weird and spooky. I don't know about you, guys,
- 0:36Speaker 1: but I'm already tired of the heat and it's not
- 0:40Speaker 1: even summer yet. Plus the humidity is making everything worse,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and I'm so sick of filling gross and sweaty every
- 0:50Speaker 1: time I walk out the door. I just want it
- 0:55Speaker 1: to be cold again, or at least live inside until
- 0:58Speaker 1: it does get cold. But since I can't do that,
- 1:03Speaker 1: let's read some paranormal stories to try and forget about
- 1:06Speaker 1: the heat, even if it's for a little while. Our
- 1:10Speaker 1: first story is called our Bizarre Experiences with the forest
- 1:15Speaker 1: behind our house eventually forced us to move out. I
- 1:21Speaker 1: was eight years old when we first moved into the
- 1:24Speaker 1: house on the edge of the forest. The house at
- 1:28Speaker 1: the edge of the forest sounds like the start of
- 1:30Speaker 1: a horror movie, so I'm not surprised you have weird
- 1:34Speaker 1: experiences here. My parents had their doubts about buying the
- 1:38Speaker 1: house with a backyard bordered by forests. They had concerns
- 1:44Speaker 1: about wild animals getting into our bins or hurting our dogs,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and we're worried one of us might go too far
- 1:52Speaker 1: into the trees and get lost. Okay, why is it
- 1:58Speaker 1: my first tories would go to cryptids, like having to
- 2:01Speaker 1: deal with a bigfoot or a flesh pedestrian, or maybe
- 2:07Speaker 1: even worrying about disturbing the faith. I don't think I
- 2:11Speaker 1: would worry about the wild animals until after I saw
- 2:15Speaker 1: one or something happened. But then again, I'm a city girl,
- 2:21Speaker 1: so that stuff was never a worry where I lived.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Where I live now is the most I've been outside
- 2:29Speaker 1: of the city, and it's still crazy to me to
- 2:31Speaker 1: see deer just walking about my yard, or seeing a
- 2:35Speaker 1: big snake on my porch, which I did not know
- 2:39Speaker 1: how to handle. I just stayed inside. I'm not scared
- 2:42Speaker 1: of snakes, but I don't know what to do if
- 2:44Speaker 1: one's on your porch. I was just always told to
- 2:48Speaker 1: run away and just not be near him, so I
- 2:52Speaker 1: didn't know what to do. But even then, this place
- 2:56Speaker 1: is still pretty developed and on the edge of the
- 2:59Speaker 1: city limits, so it's not like a live in the
- 3:02Speaker 1: rural area or something. But it was cheap. My dad
- 3:09Speaker 1: liked the seclusion. My mom loved the house itself, and
- 3:14Speaker 1: my siblings and I were excited about playing in the
- 3:16Speaker 1: backyard and exploring the forest. Our first sign that something
- 3:23Speaker 1: wasn't right was that our dogs were absolutely terrified of
- 3:27Speaker 1: the forest. Yeah, that's a very bad sign, because either
- 3:33Speaker 1: they're sensing another animal that could be a danger to
- 3:36Speaker 1: them and your family, or they're sensing something unexplainable that
- 3:43Speaker 1: is still just as dangerous. Either way, it's not a
- 3:46Speaker 1: good thing when they're scared, and you should always listen
- 3:50Speaker 1: to your animals. They never went into the forest for
- 3:56Speaker 1: any reason. If a toy they've been playing with found
- 4:00Speaker 1: its way past the tree line, they would refuse to
- 4:04Speaker 1: retrieve it, and when one of us went in, they
- 4:09Speaker 1: would pace anxiously until we returned. On occasion, we've noticed
- 4:14Speaker 1: the dog staring at a point in the forest in
- 4:18Speaker 1: obvious distress, sometimes growling or barking, but we can never
- 4:25Speaker 1: see anything there. My brother once carried one of the
- 4:31Speaker 1: dogs into the trees to show her there was nothing
- 4:35Speaker 1: scary about it, but she wiggled out of his grip
- 4:39Speaker 1: and sprinted into the house in a panic. Oh my god,
- 4:45Speaker 1: the poor baby was scared. Why would you try to
- 4:50Speaker 1: prove to them, it's okay. They clearly sent something. Just
- 4:55Speaker 1: because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there.
- 5:00Speaker 1: If my dog was acting like that, I don't think
- 5:03Speaker 1: i'd ever go into those woods. At least I wouldn't
- 5:07Speaker 1: go without caution. If we were in the backyard when
- 5:12Speaker 1: it was getting dark, we sometimes heard noises like someone
- 5:16Speaker 1: was walking through the forest, dick's crunching underfoot, branches being
- 5:22Speaker 1: pushed aside. If we called out, there was no response,
- 5:28Speaker 1: but if we shined a flashlight around, we would occasionally
- 5:32Speaker 1: catch a glimpse, for just a split second, of something
- 5:36Speaker 1: that we could swear look like a person walking around
- 5:40Speaker 1: in the dark. My parents quickly banned us from entering
- 5:45Speaker 1: the forest at all after dark, and even during the day,
- 5:50Speaker 1: we weren't allowed to go out of sight of the house.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't blame your parents for banning you from going
- 5:57Speaker 1: in the woods. I'm surprised they didn't put up some
- 6:00Speaker 1: kind of security setup to make sure no weird people
- 6:04Speaker 1: were coming into your yard or hanging out at the
- 6:07Speaker 1: edge of the woods. My sister's bedroom window looked out
- 6:14Speaker 1: at the backyard in the forest beyond, and she remembers
- 6:19Speaker 1: looking out her window one night, ew she didn't have
- 6:23Speaker 1: her curtains closed to night, could not be me and
- 6:28Speaker 1: seeing a shadowy figure standing right at the edge of
- 6:32Speaker 1: the backyard. She says there was something wrong with it,
- 6:37Speaker 1: like it wasn't quite standing on the ground, and it
- 6:42Speaker 1: was a little too tall to be a person, and
- 6:46Speaker 1: it was sort of distorted, and she was convinced it
- 6:51Speaker 1: was staring at her because it was this is why
- 6:57Speaker 1: we don't look out the windows at night and keep
- 7:00Speaker 1: the curtains closed. She called for our dad, saying there
- 7:06Speaker 1: was a man in the yard staring through a window,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and when he ran outside to chase off whoever it was,
- 7:15Speaker 1: she continued to watch the figure. It didn't move away,
- 7:20Speaker 1: but when the light from our dad's flashlight passed over it,
- 7:24Speaker 1: it suddenly just wasn't there. Oh well, I was thinking
- 7:30Speaker 1: it might be a flesh pedestrian, but I don't think
- 7:34Speaker 1: they just magically disappeared when a light hits them, or
- 7:39Speaker 1: float for that matter. We regularly heard knocking at the
- 7:46Speaker 1: back door at night with no one there. I know
- 7:52Speaker 1: this kind of stuff can happen outside of them, but
- 7:56Speaker 1: I wonder if they live within the Appalachian Mountains, because
- 8:00Speaker 1: it's starting to sound like something you'd hear from those mountains.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Our parents thought it was a teenager playing pranks and
- 8:10Speaker 1: stop bothering even opening the door. Wait, it didn't click before,
- 8:15Speaker 1: but they've been opening the door. Oh my god, I'm
- 8:20Speaker 1: surprised you haven't already let something in. This is insane.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Why would you open the door without knowing who was
- 8:29Speaker 1: on the other side. Until one rainy night, when the
- 8:37Speaker 1: knocking was persistent and agitated, my mom pointed out there
- 8:43Speaker 1: might be someone needing shelter from the heavy rain outside.
- 8:48Speaker 1: But when she opened the door, not only was there
- 8:51Speaker 1: no one there, but there were no wet footprints on
- 8:56Speaker 1: the porch. Let's just forget the paranormal happening is going
- 9:01Speaker 1: on here. Why the hell would you do that? That
- 9:05Speaker 1: could be some creep trying to hurt you and your kids. Again,
- 9:11Speaker 1: I say, don't open the door for anyone you don't
- 9:14Speaker 1: know what. The knocking continued the whole time we lived there.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It would happen several times in the span of a
- 9:24Speaker 1: few weeks, then stop for months, then start again. My
- 9:32Speaker 1: parents eventually installed a security camera and there was never
- 9:37Speaker 1: anyone at the door. That took them way too long.
- 9:42Speaker 1: They should have put them up a long time ago,
- 9:45Speaker 1: probably back when your sister saw something just staring at
- 9:48Speaker 1: her through the window. The camera wasn't all useless though.
- 9:57Speaker 1: About three years into living there, my brother started having
- 10:01Speaker 1: night terrors and sleepwalking. When he went sleepwalking, he would
- 10:07Speaker 1: always go out the back door and start walking towards
- 10:10Speaker 1: the forest. My mom, being a light sleeper, would hear
- 10:15Speaker 1: a door open and would run out to get him
- 10:18Speaker 1: before he made it to the forest. After the third
- 10:22Speaker 1: or fourth time it happened, my brother asked to see
- 10:26Speaker 1: the camera footage because he wanted to see how he
- 10:30Speaker 1: looked when sleepwalking, I guess, thinking it looked funny. The
- 10:35Speaker 1: footage showed him walking out onto the porch, then pausing
- 10:40Speaker 1: as if listening to something and shaking his head, then
- 10:46Speaker 1: reluctantly walk forward as if being pulled or forcefully guided
- 10:52Speaker 1: by something. Oh, he was getting called into the woods
- 10:58Speaker 1: by something, and I like that. One evening, my dad
- 11:05Speaker 1: was in the backyard and he heard my sister calling
- 11:08Speaker 1: him from the forest, now seemingly in distress. No, don't
- 11:16Speaker 1: do it. I know what you're about to do. Don't
- 11:19Speaker 1: do it. Thinking she had gone exploring in the forest
- 11:24Speaker 1: and fallen over in herself. He ran in and started
- 11:28Speaker 1: calling to her, but quickly realized it was too dark
- 11:34Speaker 1: to see her and he couldn't pinpoint where her voice
- 11:38Speaker 1: was coming from. He told her to wait where she
- 11:42Speaker 1: was while he grabbed a flashlight. When he ran back
- 11:47Speaker 1: into the house for the flashlight, he saw my sister inside,
- 11:52Speaker 1: safe and completely unconcerned. My dad hadn't told us about
- 11:59Speaker 1: hearing my sister's voice in the forest, so when I
- 12:03Speaker 1: heard my mom's voice coming from the forest months later
- 12:06Speaker 1: while I was outside with the dogs one evening, I
- 12:10Speaker 1: didn't question it, despite the fact I had seen my
- 12:13Speaker 1: mom inside recently and hadn't noticed her walking past me.
- 12:20Speaker 1: My mom was calling for me, saying she had gotten
- 12:22Speaker 1: her sweater caught in some branches and needed me to
- 12:26Speaker 1: come in and help her. As I walk in, the
- 12:31Speaker 1: dog started barking, alerting my dad, who saw me through
- 12:36Speaker 1: the window wandering into the forest. He came outside and
- 12:41Speaker 1: called for me, and I said I was just helping mom.
- 12:46Speaker 1: He yelled back that Mom is inside and I need
- 12:50Speaker 1: to run back to the house as fast as I could,
- 12:53Speaker 1: which I did. After this, my parents had a fence
- 12:59Speaker 1: built around the backyard and started looking for a new place.
- 13:06Speaker 1: In the time between the fence being built in us
- 13:08Speaker 1: moving out, it got way worse. I'm not surprised at all.
- 13:18Speaker 1: We'd hear knocking at the door more regularly, as well
- 13:23Speaker 1: as tapping on the windows, as if someone was walking
- 13:27Speaker 1: the perimeter of the house and trying every window. We
- 13:33Speaker 1: would often hear scratching and scraping sounds on the fence
- 13:39Speaker 1: in voices behind it. My brother's night terrors got more frequent,
- 13:46Speaker 1: and one night my mom didn't hear the door open
- 13:49Speaker 1: when he went sleepwalking, and he woke up standing at
- 13:55Speaker 1: the fence, staring into the forest with the doll was
- 14:00Speaker 1: barking at him. The last morning we spent there, less
- 14:05Speaker 1: than four years after we moved in, we woke up
- 14:09Speaker 1: to find the back door fully open. Into security camera
- 14:14Speaker 1: footage showed it slowly swung open on its own. Since
- 14:21Speaker 1: moving out, my brother's sleepwalking has stopped, though he still
- 14:25Speaker 1: gets night terrors and he suffers from pretty severe anxiety.
- 14:30Speaker 1: A few nights ago, he called me out of the blue,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and after a bit of small talk, he asked me
- 14:38Speaker 1: if I think the door being opened that final night
- 14:41Speaker 1: means whatever was out there finally got in I'm shocked
- 14:47Speaker 1: with everything you guys did wrong. It wasn't already in there.
- 14:52Speaker 1: He was trying to make light of it, saying he
- 14:55Speaker 1: was getting into the spirit of Halloween, joking about how
- 14:59Speaker 1: maybe we should all get exercised just in case something
- 15:02Speaker 1: latched onto us all those years ago. But I think
- 15:07Speaker 1: he's deeply bothered by everything that happened. I know I
- 15:12Speaker 1: still am a little. I still get nervous around dark
- 15:16Speaker 1: wooded areas. I don't know what I think was out
- 15:19Speaker 1: there in the forest behind her house at night, but
- 15:24Speaker 1: I get the feeling that, given the chance, it would
- 15:27Speaker 1: have swallowed us whole. Yeah, your brother was definitely scared
- 15:32Speaker 1: of everything that happened, and most likely was just trying
- 15:36Speaker 1: to play it off as a joke to not seem scared.
- 15:41Speaker 1: But seriously, this is why the Appalachian Mountains have these rules. Again.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I don't know if that's where you lived, but this
- 15:49Speaker 1: really does sound like something that goes on in those mountains.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I wish I could remember what they call it, because
- 15:58Speaker 1: it doesn't sound like a flesh pedition completely. I swear
- 16:03Speaker 1: there was something else that this sounds more like. Does
- 16:07Speaker 1: anyone know what it is? Because I keep thinking it's
- 16:10Speaker 1: a fore spirit. But at the same time I know
- 16:15Speaker 1: that's wrong. I wish I could actually remember, because I
- 16:21Speaker 1: swear there is like a way to protect yourself from it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: But there is another way to protect yourself. If you've
- 16:31Speaker 1: ever lived in Appalachia, you probably know them. If you
- 16:35Speaker 1: hear something, no, you didn't, If you see something, no,
- 16:38Speaker 1: you didn't. And always make sure to cover your windows
- 16:42Speaker 1: at night, never look out them at night. Also, I'm
- 16:47Speaker 1: not sure this last one is a rule, but if
- 16:51Speaker 1: you hear knocking, never open your door, especially at night.
- 16:57Speaker 1: You could be letting something in you don't want there.
- 17:01Speaker 1: But honestly, that should be a rule for both the
- 17:03Speaker 1: paranormal and for people. Oh and if he's still feeling
- 17:08Speaker 1: the effects of that place, he needs to get himself
- 17:11Speaker 1: cleansed and protected because whatever it is still seems to
- 17:16Speaker 1: have a hold on him and he needs to do
- 17:20Speaker 1: something about it, not just joke about it. Wow. That
- 17:25Speaker 1: was a long one, like way longer than I thought,
- 17:29Speaker 1: which I love. But since it was a long one,
- 17:33Speaker 1: I think we'll just read one more for this episode.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I don't want this to get too long because I
- 17:40Speaker 1: don't have a lot of time to edit this week. Anyways,
- 17:43Speaker 1: this one is called I Died Once. Here's my experience.
- 17:49Speaker 1: In twenty twelve, I had suffered a stroke that killed me.
- 17:54Speaker 1: As I slipped away, I had felt an overwhelming piece
- 17:57Speaker 1: come over me like I had never felt before. Things
- 18:03Speaker 1: went black. Then I was ascending above and I saw
- 18:07Speaker 1: the city below Next to me. I heard a voice
- 18:12Speaker 1: from this orb of varied colored lights that also had
- 18:17Speaker 1: a miss coming off of it. It was a woman's voice,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and she was telling me how excited she was to
- 18:25Speaker 1: finally be with her family and see her mom and
- 18:29Speaker 1: dad again. I started to feel unsure and told her
- 18:34Speaker 1: I wasn't supposed to be here. Suddenly I was standing
- 18:41Speaker 1: in an otherworldly place that was gorgeous. All of the
- 18:48Speaker 1: structures and buildings were made of what looked like similar
- 18:52Speaker 1: to marble, but it had an iridescent color between the marbling.
- 18:59Speaker 1: The buildings were decorated with colorful stones, with gold embellishments
- 19:04Speaker 1: lining the buildings and glass fences. I walked along the
- 19:11Speaker 1: path with my arms crossed and holding onto my body.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I felt lost, and everyone around me was chatting happily
- 19:20Speaker 1: with each other in these other worldly clothes of satin
- 19:25Speaker 1: like linens. Some people held hands and were close and
- 19:29Speaker 1: joyful with each other. This place was absolutely beautiful. I
- 19:36Speaker 1: came upon an old man who was sitting near a
- 19:38Speaker 1: tree in what seemed to be teaching a class with
- 19:42Speaker 1: people surrounding him. Some were sitting and others were standing.
- 19:48Speaker 1: He called me over to join him. He was teaching
- 19:51Speaker 1: the lesson of what life is supposed to be on nerve,
- 19:55Speaker 1: what it was originally supposed to be in how humans
- 19:58Speaker 1: were supposed to be caring for the world and the
- 20:01Speaker 1: inhabitants of it, but materialism had gotten in the way,
- 20:07Speaker 1: among other things. I felt an overwhelming knowledge come over
- 20:12Speaker 1: me as he continued to teach his class about the world,
- 20:17Speaker 1: the universe, life and death. Everyone began to surround me,
- 20:23Speaker 1: and the old man put his hand on my shoulder
- 20:26Speaker 1: and he said, it's not your time yet. You will
- 20:30Speaker 1: know when it is. The people from the class all
- 20:36Speaker 1: came in and held me in a circle, and I
- 20:40Speaker 1: was suddenly back. I opened my eyes and breathed in.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I was alive and back in my earthly body. This
- 20:50Speaker 1: is how I came to believe in God and also reincarnation.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I don't claim to be religious, but my beliefs are
- 20:58Speaker 1: now a mix of things things. Unfortunately, slowly that knowledge
- 21:05Speaker 1: that was instilled into me slowly slipped away over the years,
- 21:10Speaker 1: but I feel it in the back of my mind.
- 21:13Speaker 1: To me, religion became several fingers pointing at the same being,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I don't need a religion to dictate my relationship with God.
- 21:24Speaker 1: If you're all wondering, I am twenty seven now and
- 21:27Speaker 1: suffer residual effects that have disabled me, but I keep going.
- 21:33Speaker 1: My body may not work properly, but my brain still does,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and I focus on expanding my knowledge in various areas.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Oh wow, I'm so sorry you had that stroke at
- 21:48Speaker 1: such a young age and are still feeling the effects
- 21:52Speaker 1: from it even now. At least, it hasn't seemed to
- 21:56Speaker 1: stop you. As for what you saw, it sounds absolutely beautiful.
- 22:05Speaker 1: And I wonder if that man that called you over
- 22:09Speaker 1: was talking to all those souls right before they were
- 22:12Speaker 1: about to head back down to Earth. Maybe that's why
- 22:16Speaker 1: he also called you over. He knew it was in
- 22:19Speaker 1: your time, so he figured he'd let you in on
- 22:22Speaker 1: the secret before you were sent back down. Maybe the
- 22:26Speaker 1: parts you do remember are part of your purpose here,
- 22:30Speaker 1: and he knew you needed to hear it. I also
- 22:34Speaker 1: wonder if he is connected to you in some way,
- 22:37Speaker 1: like an ancestor, or maybe as fear guide, or maybe
- 22:41Speaker 1: he just goes off grandfather vibes and that's all I'm sensing.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Whatever it was, it obviously set your mind at ease
- 22:50Speaker 1: enough to listen to what he was teaching the others, which,
- 22:55Speaker 1: of course, since you were so young, you probably needed
- 22:59Speaker 1: that comfort and reassurance. Also, he was right about one thing.
- 23:06Speaker 1: We should be taking care of Mother Earth and all
- 23:09Speaker 1: that inhabit her. Sometimes we forget that and take her
- 23:14Speaker 1: for granted, but we should be showing her the respect
- 23:19Speaker 1: she deserves. If there's one thing that you take from
- 23:23Speaker 1: this episode, hopefully it's to do something for the Earth,
- 23:28Speaker 1: to show your respect to her and all she does
- 23:30Speaker 1: for us. Well, guys, that's all I have for you today.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed and hopefully these stories helped you
- 23:39Speaker 1: like they did me. Forget about the heat. Oh sadly,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I am starting to fill it again. So I'm about
- 23:46Speaker 1: to go get in the air condition after this. And
- 23:50Speaker 1: of course, if you are enjoying the podcast, please rate
- 23:53Speaker 1: and review as well as like in subscribe if you're
- 23:56Speaker 1: on YouTube. It really does help the podcast cast out,
- 24:02Speaker 1: but that's not the only way to help out. Spreading
- 24:05Speaker 1: the word about the coven to others helped just as much,
- 24:08Speaker 1: if not more than rating and reviewing. But please do
- 24:13Speaker 1: rate and reviews still. Oh and if you have a
- 24:18Speaker 1: strange story about the Woods, a near death experience, or
- 24:22Speaker 1: even Bigfoot, send them in. I want to hear all
- 24:27Speaker 1: of your paranormal stories, no matter how weird they may be,
- 24:33Speaker 1: so email me all your stories at Pinkyboo Hauntings at gmail.
- 24:37Speaker 1: We don't worry. The email will be in the show
- 24:40Speaker 1: notes below, But for now, the Coven is ajourn. See
- 24:45Speaker 1: you next time. Bye,
