- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, Welcome back to the Give Them Lala Podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It is Lala Kent herself and for the first time ever,
- 0:14Speaker 1: I'm going.
- 0:14Speaker 2: To read my co host biod. I'm so shook by this.
- 0:20Speaker 3: You're gonna have to read for a while.
- 0:22Speaker 2: No, No, I have Kelty Knight. Welcome.
- 0:26Speaker 4: I'm so happy to be here, are you. I I'm
- 0:29Speaker 4: a big fan. You've been on Lady Gang podcast before.
- 0:32Speaker 4: I interviewed you for E News and so I was
- 0:35Speaker 4: really stoked when you asked me. I think you're doing
- 0:37Speaker 4: a great job, sweetie. And I'm just really excited, and
- 0:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna try to convince you to be real life
- 0:45Speaker 4: friends with me and get your phone number after.
- 0:46Speaker 5: But we'll see, we'll see how this is an audition.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I would die and love it.
- 0:50Speaker 1: So you are a three time Emmy Award winning television personality,
- 0:55Speaker 1: a New York Times best selling author, and a People's Choice.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Awards podcast hosts.
- 1:02Speaker 1: What does that mean? When I read this, I was like,
- 1:04Speaker 1: that's what we're losing.
- 1:05Speaker 4: So we were nominated for the People's Choice Awards for
- 1:08Speaker 4: Top Podcast for Lady Gang.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Okay, and we lost.
- 1:11Speaker 5: So that's what it means. It means I wanted to be.
- 1:14Speaker 4: You know, people are like, I'm Grammy nominated, are Oscar
- 1:16Speaker 4: Academy Award nominated? I was like, well, I wanted in
- 1:19Speaker 4: the bio, but I can't.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Sound I'm too successful. I don't want to alienate the kids,
- 1:26Speaker 5: you know what I mean.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Like, we got to keep her grounded, you know, I mean. So, yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 4: we lost. And what was crazy about losing that People's
- 1:35Speaker 4: Choice Award was that we at the People's Choice Awards
- 1:38Speaker 4: were on E Network and Lady Gang had a television
- 1:41Speaker 4: show on E at that time, so we were nominated
- 1:44Speaker 4: and it was like chicks in the office.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Uh oh my god, scrubbing in.
- 1:50Speaker 4: It was all these people and we were like, they
- 1:52Speaker 4: definitely are going to fix this right because you know,
- 1:54Speaker 4: the only reason j Lo goes to the People's Choice
- 1:56Speaker 4: Awards because someone told her publicist she's gonna win.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Totally.
- 2:00Speaker 5: You don't come to.
- 2:01Speaker 4: People's Choice Awards unless Chloe Kardashian is like winning top
- 2:04Speaker 4: reality Star. She's getting dressed up, you know. So we
- 2:06Speaker 4: were like, oh, great, this is so great. They made
- 2:07Speaker 4: this new category and we're gonna win because we have
- 2:09Speaker 4: a TV show on EAT and we couldn't even win.
- 2:12Speaker 4: We lost to scrubbing in.
- 2:15Speaker 3: We couldn't because I didn't even.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Set it up.
- 2:17Speaker 4: And that was the year they didn't announce it live
- 2:19Speaker 4: on the show because podcasts weren't big enough yet, so
- 2:22Speaker 4: like they didn't show that category. So we were all
- 2:24Speaker 4: sitting at the table and then the show ended. I
- 2:26Speaker 4: was like, so, why are we here? And then we
- 2:28Speaker 4: walked down and we're like, so, who won? And then
- 2:30Speaker 4: someone got like scirping and got a sneaky email that
- 2:33Speaker 4: they won and that it was just so crazy.
- 2:35Speaker 3: They didn't even get a walk up and like have
- 2:37Speaker 3: a There.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Was no even acceptance award on the show, not enough
- 2:39Speaker 4: time for the podcast.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I rather have lost.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I mean, I love that you put it in your bio,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and to be honest, I think I'm going to start
- 2:45Speaker 1: putting in that I'm a two time I'm a part.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Of a show.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Of course, I always think I'm the star of everything, right, Yeah,
- 2:51Speaker 1: everything's mine. I run the world in my mind. Yes,
- 2:55Speaker 1: you know, I buy into my own fiction.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You have to. It's called survival in the real world.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Make it alla simulation exactly.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So I am a two time Emmy losing, Yeah, superstar.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I would take that.
- 3:10Speaker 4: I would just be like La La Kent, two time
- 3:14Speaker 4: Emmy losing mother of two beautiful, you know, because it's
- 3:19Speaker 4: like a nice rings as a journalist, that's where my life,
- 3:22Speaker 4: my opening line would be. And you know what, you
- 3:25Speaker 4: deserve that And you can say because when if you
- 3:28Speaker 4: had won, you would get an Emmy, so you actually
- 3:32Speaker 4: are an Emmy nominated Like you should just say Emmy
- 3:35Speaker 4: nominated podcast host because you are Emmy nominated.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Like I'm totally doing.
- 3:39Speaker 5: No one should be able to take that away from you.
- 3:40Speaker 4: And I just want to say when you said my
- 3:42Speaker 4: bio three time Emmy Award winning, it was for a show.
- 3:46Speaker 4: It was for entertainment Tonight as part of a cast,
- 3:48Speaker 4: So I didn't win the Like the girls on the
- 3:51Speaker 4: Lady Gang will make fun of me because they're like,
- 3:53Speaker 4: you're not actually an Emmy winner, but like I I
- 3:56Speaker 4: the show that I was on one and the hosts
- 4:00Speaker 4: that show are legally in the Emmy ballad. And when
- 4:03Speaker 4: you win, they give you a special link to a
- 4:06Speaker 4: website to order your Emmy.
- 4:08Speaker 2: You have to pay for it.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm twenty one hundred dollars into my Emmy career.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Because they're about seeing seven hunderd dollars each so worth it.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Photo shoots with it, make your money back with it. Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 4: because every time I have to zoom with like a
- 4:23Speaker 4: brand or like I'm in auditioning for a new job,
- 4:26Speaker 4: I do it in my my normal offices downstairs. It's
- 4:29Speaker 4: very ugly behind it. For like, you know, if we
- 4:31Speaker 4: were just having a zoom, just books and some.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Bad fan art.
- 4:34Speaker 4: You know, if I'm going in with a brand trying
- 4:38Speaker 4: to get that bag, I'm doing it in my library
- 4:40Speaker 4: living room with the Emmys directly off the shoulder, so
- 4:43Speaker 4: you know, don't mess around with her.
- 4:46Speaker 3: You're about your fucking business. When the Emmy's exactly I.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Dress them up for Christmas. They have Christmas hats.
- 4:52Speaker 2: They're like your dogs. Do you have a dog?
- 4:54Speaker 5: I have a dog. I have no children, but there
- 4:55Speaker 5: are the children.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I love it.
- 4:57Speaker 4: It changes your whole life, Like once you win a
- 5:00Speaker 4: group daytime Emmy, it's like Hollywood.
- 5:03Speaker 5: That's why I.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Get so mad.
- 5:04Speaker 5: I'm just gonna think I'm gonna give them the laala here.
- 5:07Speaker 4: That's why I get so mad when I watch all
- 5:09Speaker 4: the like TikTokers who get better red carpet jobs than me.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Because I was like, I have three Emmys for interviewing people.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Why is Ronald McDonald doing doing these interviews? They're not
- 5:20Speaker 4: even holding the microphone in the right hand. They're kind
- 5:23Speaker 4: of a crossbody. Only nobody would.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Do a cross You got totally open the window and
- 5:29Speaker 5: the window what.
- 5:29Speaker 3: About this as well?
- 5:30Speaker 6: I've always noticed they don't bring the mic back to
- 5:33Speaker 6: themselves when they ask you a question.
- 5:35Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't even know what fucking question.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You're a Wow, you know about this Eastern.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Yes, I've been seeing it everywhere, and all of them
- 5:40Speaker 6: they just talked to them with the mic there, so
- 5:43Speaker 6: when they're asking their question, Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 3: You can't even hear it.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Yeah, do you haven't?
- 5:47Speaker 2: Really? Do you have a TikTok obsession?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Like do you know all the trends and all the
- 5:50Speaker 1: things I have?
- 5:54Speaker 5: I'm really ready to unpack this with you, Lala.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I have an obsession of attention, okay, in any way
- 6:01Speaker 4: I can get it, love it, And so I'm a
- 6:05Speaker 4: little Lalla in that way. And I mean that with love,
- 6:07Speaker 4: like it's something to look up to.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So don't take it, friends so much.
- 6:11Speaker 4: If there is a trend like I'm going to try it,
- 6:14Speaker 4: it probably will bomb the things that like go viral
- 6:18Speaker 4: for me, are so weird on TikTok. I actually have
- 6:20Speaker 4: more followers on TikTok than on Instagram, and I think
- 6:23Speaker 4: that's because the people who know me are like, God,
- 6:26Speaker 4: I can't watch Kelty again, and TikTok is mostly strangers
- 6:29Speaker 4: the way that like the you know. So Like the
- 6:32Speaker 4: other day, I was in the dressing room at E
- 6:34Speaker 4: News and I have a pair of beautiful secondhand because
- 6:39Speaker 4: I'm a thrifty bitch lu batons that so Kate, the
- 6:43Speaker 4: ones in day A wear okay, yep, the super high
- 6:46Speaker 4: four inch heel patent leather.
- 6:48Speaker 5: They're gorgeous.
- 6:49Speaker 4: And I have hundreds of shoes that I can wear
- 6:51Speaker 4: every night on You News, and no matter what, Roberto
- 6:54Speaker 4: and Boring my stylus on Your News will come in
- 6:56Speaker 4: and say it's the black, so Kate is what goes
- 6:58Speaker 4: with this outfit?
- 6:59Speaker 5: I can barely walk in these things.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I totally relate because I have a pair of Jean
- 7:02Speaker 1: Vito Rossi's that I literally wear every single red carpet
- 7:06Speaker 1: any interview, and I'm like, this is mortifying.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I have to get another pair of shoes, so keep going.
- 7:10Speaker 4: They're so painful, and so I just was on TikTok.
- 7:13Speaker 4: I'm already in glam looking cute. I was like, let
- 7:15Speaker 4: me make it TikTok. I hold the shoe up and
- 7:16Speaker 4: I was like, this message is from mister Lubaton. If
- 7:19Speaker 4: you're not mister Lubaton, like keep scrolling. And I was like,
- 7:23Speaker 4: your shoes fucking suck, Like this sucks.
- 7:25Speaker 5: My feet hurt.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Why are they so uncomfortable? They're so expensive? It went
- 7:28Speaker 4: so viral, like twelve million views. People have so many.
- 7:31Speaker 4: They're like, he's dead, you said Lubaton wrong. They're meant
- 7:34Speaker 4: for the bedroom, you're meant to swim in.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And I was like, anyway, so then all you see
- 7:39Speaker 1: is twelve million views, yeah, and.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I was like all that matters.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Yeah, And I was like people love me, they really
- 7:44Speaker 4: love me. So then I tried again with the Saint
- 7:45Speaker 4: Laurent shoe, one hundred views.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Nobody cared to talk about it. So anyway, I just
- 7:50Speaker 5: I hate all of it.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I wish that we lived in a world where the
- 7:54Speaker 4: thing that you're good at, like the talent, was enough,
- 7:57Speaker 4: you know what I mean, Like, wouldn't it be great
- 7:59Speaker 4: if just being a TV was like enough money, enough life,
- 8:03Speaker 4: enough notoriety, but no, you have to do TikTok, you
- 8:05Speaker 4: have to do Instagram, you got to do your blog,
- 8:07Speaker 4: you gotta do your scent, you gotta do your clothing line,
- 8:09Speaker 4: you have to do your podcast.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Like it's exhausting.
- 8:12Speaker 2: It's very exhausting.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And I remember I had just and I haven't even
- 8:16Speaker 1: I conquered the art to Instagram to the best of
- 8:19Speaker 1: my ability, right job. I then here like Instagram is
- 8:25Speaker 1: so over, it's about TikTok, And I'm like, are you
- 8:28Speaker 1: fucking kidding me? Another social media thing that.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I've now got to be on and connect to.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And I'm like, can I just take my videos that
- 8:38Speaker 1: I do on my Instagram and put them there? And
- 8:40Speaker 1: they're like, no, you cannot. I'm like, make it make sense.
- 8:43Speaker 1: If you can make something make sense to me and
- 8:45Speaker 1: give me the why, then I can get down with it.
- 8:48Speaker 1: But no one can give me a real valid reason
- 8:51Speaker 1: on why I just can't do it. And then my
- 8:54Speaker 1: I'm only thirty four, Like I realize, like I'm not
- 8:57Speaker 1: some old broad, but I do feel seventy nine and
- 9:00Speaker 1: it just becomes too much to where I want to
- 9:02Speaker 1: take a nap. And the reason why the Lubaton video.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Maybe I'm saying it wrong, don't care because it.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Goes viral, put it on TikTok.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But it was like organic, right, and then you try
- 9:14Speaker 1: to recreate it was like when I did this, send
- 9:17Speaker 1: it to Darryl Video, right, we create merch and my
- 9:21Speaker 1: merch team is looking for the next They're like, let's
- 9:24Speaker 1: do another, let's do it again. I'm like, you have
- 9:26Speaker 1: to understand, this will never happen a guy, probably never.
- 9:29Speaker 2: So we all need to like let that go.
- 9:32Speaker 1: It was a great moment in time, but you just
- 9:35Speaker 1: don't know what's gonna hit and what's not. And the
- 9:37Speaker 1: people who do have these platforms where every single video hits.
- 9:42Speaker 6: But no, no, no, no, you think that if you
- 9:45Speaker 6: go through their TikTok and their page, say that you're
- 9:48Speaker 6: on your for you page and you see one and
- 9:50Speaker 6: it's her and or him and they have a million views,
- 9:53Speaker 6: a million likes, whatever it is. Go into their page,
- 9:55Speaker 6: they have posted ten to fifteen of the same thing. Yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 6: and it's just fully one of them goes big.
- 10:02Speaker 1: So this goes back to if they were interviewing for
- 10:04Speaker 1: a job, they would only use that video.
- 10:07Speaker 2: You will only use the room with the Emmys for Summer.
- 10:11Speaker 1: It all makes sense because I will say, even at
- 10:13Speaker 1: thirty four, when I scroll too much, I have an
- 10:16Speaker 1: internal battle. It's like Mike Tyson in his prime with
- 10:20Speaker 1: my mind, and he is winning and chaoing the fuck
- 10:23Speaker 1: out of me to the point where I'm like, I'm exhausted,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'm giving up. I'm moving to a ranch in Montana
- 10:29Speaker 1: and I'll do my Amazon lives there.
- 10:30Speaker 6: No, I know what old people feel like they finally
- 10:33Speaker 6: know how to work the remote and then you give
- 10:35Speaker 6: them another one and you're like, I just fucking learned
- 10:38Speaker 6: this one.
- 10:39Speaker 2: No, it is definitely a lot for me.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I actually just we had a woman on Lady Gang
- 10:47Speaker 4: actually just this morning before I came here, and it
- 10:49Speaker 4: was just a very interesting conversation. She has an app
- 10:53Speaker 4: called Activations, which is like it's not meditations, it's like
- 10:57Speaker 4: three to twenty seven minute like activations where it's like
- 11:00Speaker 4: I am like, you know, you're saying like I am rich,
- 11:02Speaker 4: I am whatever, Like even if you're not right, it's
- 11:05Speaker 4: like you're manifesting like that next girl or whatever. Anyway,
- 11:08Speaker 4: long story short, she said something very interesting that I'll
- 11:10Speaker 4: say to you. She said, my life changed dramatically when
- 11:15Speaker 4: I stopped looking at my life in the two X
- 11:17Speaker 4: category like how can I double this, and only started
- 11:20Speaker 4: saying yes to opportunities.
- 11:22Speaker 5: That make me ten x.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Wow.
- 11:24Speaker 4: So it's like I agree with you, Like, think about
- 11:27Speaker 4: that for a second. It's like instead of being like, Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 4: I'm gonna do some tiktoks, like is that going to
- 11:31Speaker 4: really increase your bag or your life, or your meaning
- 11:34Speaker 4: or your happiness ten x. No, it might double the
- 11:37Speaker 4: money you make this year if you can get like
- 11:39Speaker 4: a cute little deal, But it's like invest time in
- 11:41Speaker 4: those things that'll change your life ten x, like that
- 11:44Speaker 4: next movie role or that next TV show or whatever
- 11:47Speaker 4: that thing is, rather than spend the little time trying
- 11:50Speaker 4: to go viral on an app that like doesn't never
- 11:52Speaker 4: make you money.
- 11:53Speaker 5: So I like that.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I love this as well, and I feel like twenty
- 11:57Speaker 1: twenty four was a very strange year you.
- 12:01Speaker 5: For me, it was just sitting here watching you. It was.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It was set A lot of people did It's okay,
- 12:13Speaker 1: we all survived.
- 12:14Speaker 2: It was disorienting, it was humbling.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I got knocked off my horse more than one time,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and I getting back onto it. Well.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Then I was like you know what this horse, Let's
- 12:26Speaker 2: just like let it rest and we get on a
- 12:27Speaker 2: new horse.
- 12:28Speaker 1: But then I had I got pregnant and had a
- 12:31Speaker 1: beautiful baby. And so these two, these two types of
- 12:34Speaker 1: things were existing. The happiest moment of my life and
- 12:38Speaker 1: being so peaceful in my personal life, but then my
- 12:42Speaker 1: career and the outside world it was like they were
- 12:47Speaker 1: out for blood. They wanted my head on a steak.
- 12:55Speaker 1: When you started Lady Gang, was reality television as big
- 13:00Speaker 1: as it is today, Because I remember watching Bravo back
- 13:03Speaker 1: when I was living in Utah, but it was just
- 13:05Speaker 1: like it was almost on a network that like no
- 13:08Speaker 1: one really knew about, and it was like, oh, this
- 13:09Speaker 1: is like a really fun show. Now I feel like
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's gotten huge and Housewives have really taken the forefront
- 13:16Speaker 1: of reality TV.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Was it like that when Lady Gang came out?
- 13:19Speaker 4: So I think we were at different reality We were
- 13:21Speaker 4: in Survivor, we were in Bachelor and Bachelorette, like one girl,
- 13:26Speaker 4: everyone fighting for the thing. These like conglomerate ensemble cast
- 13:30Speaker 4: shows I think have really heated up in the past
- 13:33Speaker 4: five or six years. I mean there were Housewives, yes,
- 13:36Speaker 4: but it wasn't like, you know, there's entire people who
- 13:41Speaker 4: make all of their money off just doing Bravo, like
- 13:44Speaker 4: it's its own entity of popularity. And what's crazy is
- 13:49Speaker 4: that with the Lady Gang podcast, I mean, we run
- 13:51Speaker 4: this very interesting. You know, it's at the end of
- 13:54Speaker 4: the day, it's a business, and we have a download
- 13:57Speaker 4: quota to hit for our advertisers. You could get one
- 14:00Speaker 4: of the biggest We've had the biggest actresses in Hollywood.
- 14:04Speaker 4: We just we had Sharon Stone on for two episodes,
- 14:07Speaker 4: who's like iconic, iconic what she was telling us and
- 14:10Speaker 4: the way she is and she's a friend of mine
- 14:11Speaker 4: and I love her and she's like an incredible girls girl.
- 14:14Speaker 4: But like she's one of the biggest, most recognizable names.
- 14:16Speaker 4: You know, you're at the met Galley or at whatever.
- 14:18Speaker 4: You could have a housewife, you could have you, you
- 14:20Speaker 4: could have you know, Kristin Dowdy. You could have any
- 14:24Speaker 4: of these people from Bravo, and the numbers would be similar.
- 14:27Speaker 4: The interest level is very similar. It's the highest reward,
- 14:31Speaker 4: highest risk network of shows that I think exists in Hollywood.
- 14:35Speaker 4: So it's like the risk of you being canceled, your
- 14:38Speaker 4: life being ruined. You have to hide from people who
- 14:42Speaker 4: are coming for you to be publicly beheaded on multiple occasions,
- 14:47Speaker 4: and then the next season be publicly loved like the
- 14:51Speaker 4: high risk the high reward, because the fan base is
- 14:54Speaker 4: so intense that if you go on an Amazon, if
- 14:57Speaker 4: you have a book, the fan base wild shows up
- 15:00Speaker 4: and so, yeah, is your life ruined one season?
- 15:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:05Speaker 4: Are you are your parents? Like hey, people keep sending
- 15:08Speaker 4: me articles about you being before like you know what
- 15:11Speaker 4: I mean, or getting murdered and you're getting death threats.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Sure is your book going to the top of the
- 15:15Speaker 4: New York Times? Yeah, so high risk, high.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Reward, you know what, I'll take it any day. And
- 15:20Speaker 1: going back to the people who you have interviewed, because
- 15:24Speaker 1: the list is insane. I want to know because you
- 15:27Speaker 1: do host shows like E News where you're talking about
- 15:31Speaker 1: things that people have done. Yeah, and you have an opinion.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Has there ever been someone you've interviewed?
- 15:37Speaker 2: Number one?
- 15:37Speaker 1: I want to know the most in your mind, like,
- 15:40Speaker 1: oh my god, that interview just sticks out in my
- 15:42Speaker 1: mind every time, and you get nervous like, oh shit,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I've talked shit about them before and now they're coming in.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I hope they didn't hear.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so yeah, I mean, I feel this so deeply,
- 15:54Speaker 4: so they're in the Kelty vault, deep down in my soul.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Is the list of people I fucking hate. Okay, it
- 16:01Speaker 4: has never been.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Public because I'm not trying, because this is a safe space.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'm not going to make you share it, but I
- 16:08Speaker 1: am dying to know.
- 16:10Speaker 5: I'll tell you.
- 16:11Speaker 4: I'll tell you I because one of that lit there's
- 16:14Speaker 4: a long list because people are mostly assholes. That's very true.
- 16:19Speaker 4: There's a very long list. And I wrote about it
- 16:22Speaker 4: in Lady Secrets or Act Like a Lady.
- 16:24Speaker 5: We have two Lady Gang books. I can't remember. I
- 16:26Speaker 5: think it was. I think it was Lady's Secrets. It
- 16:28Speaker 5: was a book about all of our secrets.
- 16:30Speaker 4: I wrote about one A list actress, probably most famous
- 16:34Speaker 4: actress in the world, who was an absolute dick to
- 16:37Speaker 4: me live on the red carpet called me out the
- 16:42Speaker 4: story and then I'll name a name. So I can't
- 16:44Speaker 4: name this name because I will literally get sued.
- 16:47Speaker 5: But I was on a.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Red carpet for a project and I had interviewed this person.
- 16:51Speaker 4: They do a lot of rom comms, and I had said, Hey,
- 16:54Speaker 4: would you like in the junk kit or whatever. I
- 16:56Speaker 4: was like, oh, you did this like murder mystery thing.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Would you ever go back to rom comms? And around
- 17:00Speaker 4: was amazing. She was like, at a certain age, it
- 17:02Speaker 4: doesn't really make sense to be in a roalm comm
- 17:03Speaker 4: unless you're like a widow, you know what I mean. Like,
- 17:05Speaker 4: it's like, at a certain age, how how can you
- 17:08Speaker 4: still be that stupid in love?
- 17:09Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 17:10Speaker 1: Like?
- 17:11Speaker 2: And I was like, have you met us?
- 17:14Speaker 5: It's ageless, babe.
- 17:15Speaker 4: But anyway, so we ran that article and Vogue picked
- 17:19Speaker 4: up that article and this is where clickbait. I am
- 17:22Speaker 4: more scared of clipbait than you, and I swear to
- 17:24Speaker 4: God because what happens is the art. The interview that
- 17:28Speaker 4: I did went out and then Vogue picked it up
- 17:29Speaker 4: and they changed the headline to blah blah blah blah
- 17:32Speaker 4: says she's done with rom comms. If you're a rom
- 17:35Speaker 4: com queen, this is detrimental to your career.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:38Speaker 4: So then I saw this person a couple weeks later
- 17:41Speaker 4: and they came up to me and they're like, you
- 17:42Speaker 4: put words in my mouth.
- 17:43Speaker 5: This is live, live television. You put words in my mouth.
- 17:46Speaker 4: And I was like, I had no idea because I
- 17:49Speaker 4: don't read every headline that gets you know, once I
- 17:52Speaker 4: do an interview, it goes all around the world like
- 17:54Speaker 4: that's and I'm so lucky that's the level that I'm at.
- 17:57Speaker 4: But like, if you're one of the five girls do
- 18:00Speaker 4: Hollywood interviews, the rest of the world picks that up.
- 18:03Speaker 4: And so that story went everywhere. I have no idea
- 18:05Speaker 4: what happens to my stories after, like I can't track
- 18:07Speaker 4: it im onto the next and she was like, you
- 18:10Speaker 4: put words in my mouth.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I was like, I have no idea.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You look really beautiful tonight, Like I don't know, I
- 18:14Speaker 4: flubbed it so bad, and that footage exists somewhere, and
- 18:17Speaker 4: I'm dying because there was this whole thing with the
- 18:19Speaker 4: Blake Lively Interview series where like there was interviews where
- 18:22Speaker 4: she maybe wasn't her best that came out and now
- 18:24Speaker 4: people reporters are like, here's my worst in review and
- 18:26Speaker 4: I was like, God, I wish I could post this.
- 18:28Speaker 5: I don't have the footage.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I know what vaulted exists in it exists, and I
- 18:32Speaker 4: wish someone woud find it and posted because it was crazy.
- 18:34Speaker 4: But it was a misunderstanding as I never said that
- 18:38Speaker 4: you were done with rom comms, so on the other
- 18:40Speaker 4: list of people, and we've since made up. But I
- 18:43Speaker 4: had a run in with Jake Jillenhall oh years ago,
- 18:45Speaker 4: and I talked about it publicly and we've we've never
- 18:49Speaker 4: talked about it, but I've forgiven him and since then
- 18:51Speaker 4: have like given him praise about all a lot of things.
- 18:53Speaker 4: But we were in a red carpet and it was
- 18:56Speaker 4: one hundred years ago. I was a baby baby reporter,
- 18:59Speaker 4: and so I was very, very hungry, and I lived
- 19:01Speaker 4: in this very high pressure world where if you didn't
- 19:04Speaker 4: come back with the goods, Like people don't understand, there
- 19:10Speaker 4: was a time in Hollywood where it was so cutthroat
- 19:12Speaker 4: that it was like, if there's five correspondents on a show,
- 19:15Speaker 4: you're so excited that you got to go to the Jake,
- 19:17Speaker 4: Jill and Hawk premiere. If you don't come back with
- 19:20Speaker 4: something so newsworthy from Jake, you're fired because the next
- 19:24Speaker 4: time it's going to be person number two. That gets
- 19:27Speaker 4: very ass If you want to do Oscars, if you
- 19:29Speaker 4: want to do met Gala, if you want to do
- 19:32Speaker 4: Beyonce interviews, you better show that you have the goods
- 19:36Speaker 4: that you can interview the house down boots up to
- 19:40Speaker 4: the badge. That's not a saing, but you know it
- 19:43Speaker 4: is like you have got to be full on and
- 19:48Speaker 4: doing it. And so I did this interview with Jake.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I was so nervous, and there's a moment for an interviewer.
- 19:55Speaker 4: You don't see it as much anymore because everything is live,
- 19:58Speaker 4: but when you were when we were making tapes and
- 20:00Speaker 4: it wasn't live where you know, the camera guy needs
- 20:03Speaker 4: a second to get us framed, to get the light
- 20:07Speaker 4: hitting where you need to hit because you're scunched up
- 20:09Speaker 4: on the red carpet like this. And then when it's
- 20:10Speaker 4: your time, the person who's at this show and the
- 20:13Speaker 4: person who's at this show sort of like exit the
- 20:15Speaker 4: scene so that you can have your moment with this star.
- 20:18Speaker 5: Right.
- 20:18Speaker 4: There is an art to this, yes, and so I'm
- 20:22Speaker 4: taking the moment to like give my camera guy a
- 20:24Speaker 4: second to get his shot in. And I said to
- 20:28Speaker 4: Jake Jillenhall, if you don't win an Oscar for this role,
- 20:32Speaker 4: you should definitely win an Oscar for that neck tattoo
- 20:34Speaker 4: because it is so dead sexy. Because in the movie
- 20:37Speaker 4: he has this, it was Prisoners. He has a huge
- 20:39Speaker 4: spiderweb neck tattoo.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And I love it too, That's what I'm saying, La La.
- 20:44Speaker 4: And I was like, oh my god, like he's so hot,
- 20:47Speaker 4: and what man doesn't want to hear that they are
- 20:50Speaker 4: the sexiest man. But I think it was looking back
- 20:53Speaker 4: on it, and he actually just was like, I'm good
- 20:56Speaker 4: on this interview and kind of like went to the.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Next shut up.
- 20:59Speaker 5: He dipped, Yeah, he dipped. He didn't like that.
- 21:01Speaker 4: And I understand now he was in this era where
- 21:04Speaker 4: he was just like a pretty boy and he's a
- 21:07Speaker 4: fabulous actor, yes, you know, but he was just sexiest man,
- 21:11Speaker 4: like hot Jake Dyllanhall, you know, and so he wanted
- 21:14Speaker 4: to be really taken seriously. And so I think that
- 21:17Speaker 4: like my playfulness came off as like this is going
- 21:20Speaker 4: to be one of those stupid interviews where this girl
- 21:22Speaker 4: flirts with me and she makes it all about me
- 21:24Speaker 4: being sexy, and like I it was a pretty serious
- 21:27Speaker 4: movie in a pretty serious role.
- 21:28Speaker 5: So my bad. But then for a while that.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Was my dinner party story when people are like, what's
- 21:33Speaker 4: the worst thing that's ever happened to you?
- 21:34Speaker 5: On the Red Creases ever?
- 21:35Speaker 4: Always asked, right, So that was my dinner party story.
- 21:38Speaker 4: But since then I've seen Jake. I've interviewed Jake. I
- 21:40Speaker 4: think he's lovely, he's very Does.
- 21:41Speaker 2: He remember that?
- 21:42Speaker 5: Probably not? Okay, I'm so in like I'm not important.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Do you remember every interviewer that when you do twenty
- 21:49Speaker 4: interviews at Bravo Khan no.
- 21:50Speaker 1: No act, it actually makes me nervous when they're like,
- 21:53Speaker 1: it's so great to see you again, and I'm like no,
- 21:57Speaker 1: But I'm also like, I.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Don't know this man.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Man.
- 22:00Speaker 2: No, I don't know this man.
- 22:01Speaker 5: I'm sorry to this man. I don't know who this
- 22:03Speaker 5: man is.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I don't And that's just I'm bad. I'm bad with
- 22:08Speaker 1: names and I'm bad with faces. But in that moment,
- 22:11Speaker 1: like if something like that happened to me, like you
- 22:14Speaker 1: immediately feel embarrassed and want to cry. Did you have
- 22:18Speaker 1: to conduct more interviews after he dipped out on you?
- 22:22Speaker 3: Well?
- 22:22Speaker 5: He I was just there to get him because he's
- 22:24Speaker 5: the big star.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Right, did and come back and tell and tell your boss?
- 22:28Speaker 5: That was pretty bad?
- 22:29Speaker 4: I mean I had to call and be like, we
- 22:30Speaker 4: have nothing from Jake, literally nothing.
- 22:33Speaker 5: It was pretty bad.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I mean, being an entertainment journalist is the most I mean,
- 22:38Speaker 4: people see us at the oscars, at the met Gala
- 22:41Speaker 4: on the red carpet with the biggest stars, and you're like,
- 22:43Speaker 4: oh my god, I want to be here. Like people
- 22:45Speaker 4: stop me all the time and they're like, oh my god,
- 22:47Speaker 4: I went to school for journalism.
- 22:48Speaker 5: I'm trying to be you.
- 22:49Speaker 4: And I was like, okay, just get ready for some
- 22:51Speaker 4: heartburn and some like gut punches, like probably the similar
- 22:54Speaker 4: way you feel after a reunion or after you film
- 22:58Speaker 4: something and you feel like kind of weird about it
- 22:59Speaker 4: and then you see it air and you're like, that's
- 23:01Speaker 4: not how I meant that. I am trying to be
- 23:03Speaker 4: a good person and this was taken like all of
- 23:06Speaker 4: that is a daily beast inside my gut.
- 23:09Speaker 2: That Okay.
- 23:10Speaker 1: As much as I hate that for you because I
- 23:11Speaker 1: know the feeling, it makes me really happy to hear that.
- 23:13Speaker 3: That's where people already.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Quote this is where misery loves company, or I'm a
- 23:19Speaker 1: stomach ulcer loves someone else with a stomach ulcer from stress.
- 23:23Speaker 4: But what I love is that in the past few years,
- 23:25Speaker 4: there has been a massive change in entertainment news from
- 23:28Speaker 4: I would say, like the Big five Ey News. I've
- 23:31Speaker 4: been there for two years. I've been the host to
- 23:33Speaker 4: B News for a year. It's the most positive work
- 23:35Speaker 4: environment ever and we are there to just champion Hollywood.
- 23:40Speaker 4: My two executive producers are both named John's, call them
- 23:42Speaker 4: the Johns. They are like, we're not here to ruin
- 23:45Speaker 4: anyone's life, Like even if we don't get as many
- 23:48Speaker 4: website clicks or if we don't get the ratings, Like,
- 23:51Speaker 4: let's not have you go out in the world and
- 23:53Speaker 4: be worried about where we're having dinner because someone might
- 23:55Speaker 4: hate you. You know, there's enough people doing that sort
- 23:58Speaker 4: of like sassy, you know, tearing people down Hollywood.
- 24:04Speaker 5: We're not that, and it's been the best.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Like I haven't had that gut feeling because I don't
- 24:09Speaker 4: say anything on the show or have to like grab
- 24:12Speaker 4: anything in an interview that I'm not comfortable with. Like
- 24:14Speaker 4: for a long time, La La people would always make
- 24:17Speaker 4: me ask women when they're having another baby, or if
- 24:19Speaker 4: they're having a baby, or is a baby next are you?
- 24:23Speaker 5: You know?
- 24:23Speaker 4: And I hated that because I had infertility. I just
- 24:27Speaker 4: had a hysterectomy. I have no uterus, so it was like,
- 24:30Speaker 4: oh my god, every time someone asked me that, it's
- 24:32Speaker 4: like the worst feeling on the world.
- 24:33Speaker 5: And here I am on the red carpet.
- 24:34Speaker 4: You're all dressed up, and you're like, so, now that
- 24:36Speaker 4: you're married, you're having a baby. I don't know what's
- 24:37Speaker 4: going on with this Woman's totally us, you know, And
- 24:40Speaker 4: he is like, don't we don't ask that anymore.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I am so thrilled to hear that. I obviously am
- 24:48Speaker 1: a mother of two babies. My biggest annoyance is when
- 24:53Speaker 1: people ask me I had broken up with my fiance,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and immediately everyone was down my throat about dating. And
- 25:00Speaker 1: although the two are not the same, because you know,
- 25:04Speaker 1: there are women, many women who have fertility issues or
- 25:07Speaker 1: they just cannot have a baby, and I think that
- 25:10Speaker 1: both of those things are super offensive. I take it
- 25:14Speaker 1: also when people say, are you planning on breastfeeding? It's like,
- 25:18Speaker 1: you don't even know if your baby's gonna take to
- 25:20Speaker 1: your boob and you're going to produce milk. So let
- 25:24Speaker 1: me ask you. You had a hysterect to me, how
- 25:27Speaker 1: long ago?
- 25:28Speaker 5: In March?
- 25:29Speaker 1: In March, so almost a year ago recently, Yeah, and
- 25:33Speaker 1: that was due to a condition you have.
- 25:36Speaker 4: And I have like a blood disorder where I was
- 25:38Speaker 4: living with like no good blood cells.
- 25:40Speaker 5: My blood cells are.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Small and having we got to a point where the
- 25:44Speaker 4: blood transfusions were not working and I was losing so
- 25:48Speaker 4: much blood in perimenopause menopause like that. They were like,
- 25:51Speaker 4: we just have to stop your period, and all the
- 25:53Speaker 4: other options for stopping your period it didn't work, id
- 25:56Speaker 4: or whatever. It's like, I couldn't do them because my
- 25:58Speaker 4: uterus was shaped weird, and so.
- 26:00Speaker 1: So did you before that. And I'm going to literally
- 26:04Speaker 1: do exactly what they tell.
- 26:06Speaker 2: You not to do anymore. Did you want children?
- 26:08Speaker 3: So?
- 26:09Speaker 2: Do you want children?
- 26:10Speaker 3: No?
- 26:11Speaker 4: I had made a decision pretty early in life that
- 26:14Speaker 4: I was not the mother. I was not meant to
- 26:18Speaker 4: be a mother. Okay, I grew up in a really
- 26:19Speaker 4: traumatic household. My brother is bipolar, and that is something
- 26:25Speaker 4: that is passed down genetically and to me, I love
- 26:30Speaker 4: him and he is my best friend.
- 26:31Speaker 5: But it is a full time job.
- 26:33Speaker 4: If anyone has anyone in their family that struggles for
- 26:36Speaker 4: mental illness, it's a full time job to keep that
- 26:37Speaker 4: person alive. And I love them so much, and I
- 26:40Speaker 4: just felt like my energy was going to be better
- 26:43Speaker 4: spent keeping him safe and happy and then being the
- 26:47Speaker 4: cool aunt to everybody else.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I love it, and I'm so amazing.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm the friend, and so I knew, And
- 26:53Speaker 4: I've lived far away my my family's in Canada. I
- 26:56Speaker 4: live far away from everyone. I had a pregnancy in
- 26:58Speaker 4: twenty fifty or sixteen that I miscarried, and so when
- 27:02Speaker 4: that happened, I was kind of like, oh, I guess
- 27:05Speaker 4: maybe I you know, like it was, oh, I love
- 27:07Speaker 4: my husband. So it was always like, if it happens,
- 27:09Speaker 4: that would be great. But then when the hysterectomy came up,
- 27:12Speaker 4: I was like, I'm good with, like what's happening, you know.
- 27:16Speaker 4: But also I do think that all moms need that
- 27:19Speaker 4: friend that is still living a non momed life that
- 27:22Speaker 4: they can like come into like come into my world
- 27:25Speaker 4: for a day and hour and just remember what.
- 27:28Speaker 5: It's like to be in a house without toys and dirt.
- 27:30Speaker 4: I you know, just remember that like crate and barrel,
- 27:34Speaker 4: white like vase that you really love that like we
- 27:37Speaker 4: don't have anymore because there's crayon on it.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Your beautiful walls are going to be ruined, your beautiful.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Cloud couch is no more la la chery.
- 27:48Speaker 1: And I also look to my friends who are not
- 27:52Speaker 1: they're not moms, and I love if they're not a
- 27:54Speaker 1: mom and also not in a relationship, because I'm like,
- 27:57Speaker 1: fuck yeah it is.
- 27:58Speaker 2: On twenty yeah, like I'm so proud of her. Fucking joke.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Next year, like one night stand, no.
- 28:06Speaker 3: One becomes that we're not doing.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You said your family's been Canada, and I read that
- 28:14Speaker 2: you're from Edmonton, and.
- 28:15Speaker 5: I have to tell you, no, you've been.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I've been to Edmonton.
- 28:18Speaker 5: She went to Cowboys, she went to step In with
- 28:20Speaker 5: a hot man.
- 28:22Speaker 2: That No, is that a bar? Is it kind of
- 28:25Speaker 2: nightclubsh it's a nightclub? Okay. So I did an appearance here, yes,
- 28:30Speaker 2: with James Kennedy.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Okay, And if you remember season seven when everything there
- 28:35Speaker 1: was a reunion that took place, I was finally sober
- 28:38Speaker 1: and James were.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Everyone was going back and.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Forth about James cheating on Raquel, and I said, I
- 28:45Speaker 1: saw you with a boob in your mouth in Canada.
- 28:48Speaker 2: That's where we were, Edmonton.
- 28:52Speaker 4: And you know what, Edmonton has some good boobies because
- 28:54Speaker 4: it's like a full it's a very like Edmund Alberta
- 28:58Speaker 4: get killed for saying this, but Alberta is like the
- 29:00Speaker 4: Texas of Canada a little bit, like it's oil and
- 29:05Speaker 4: like they.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Got some well you know what, like corn fed boys.
- 29:09Speaker 5: It's very like.
- 29:11Speaker 4: The everyone plays growing up, everyone plays hockey, so like everyone,
- 29:16Speaker 4: all the men have like big juicy butts and big thighs.
- 29:19Speaker 5: It's just like a different kind of man that exists
- 29:21Speaker 5: in La.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I'm like, these men, it's just called the man.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Where are those are men?
- 29:27Speaker 5: Those are men?
- 29:28Speaker 2: No, that's like the type of guy that I'm looking for.
- 29:31Speaker 4: Yeah, you need like just you need like a Montana
- 29:33Speaker 4: boy without the douchery.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Yes, or what I mean.
- 29:36Speaker 3: I didn't even know that it was hand in hand.
- 29:38Speaker 4: The Montana boys they are no, oh.
- 29:42Speaker 2: It's she's dated cavalry.
- 29:44Speaker 4: They're like these really hot home bread wrangler wearing big
- 29:49Speaker 4: thighed like hot men that love trucks, beers and women,
- 29:53Speaker 4: and they like do lip syncing. But like it's kind
- 29:55Speaker 4: of douchey. But you the version of that that like
- 29:58Speaker 4: owns an app and a private jet. I know you're
- 30:02Speaker 4: probably over your private jet life. You're like, never again,
- 30:05Speaker 4: I'm not looking for that.
- 30:06Speaker 2: But they exist, they do exist.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But I look at my life and I'm like, Okay,
- 30:11Speaker 1: I've lived a really really cool life. I've experienced things
- 30:14Speaker 1: that not many people experience. And even though those experiences
- 30:18Speaker 1: are different. Now I have a level of independence that
- 30:22Speaker 1: I never thought I would have. You have that level
- 30:24Speaker 1: of independence. And I'm watching Brounwin. Are you watching Sally
- 30:29Speaker 1: of course get the four million dollar necklace? And I'm
- 30:34Speaker 1: watching it all happen, and I'm like, still not worth it,
- 30:38Speaker 1: Still not worth it.
- 30:39Speaker 2: You don't have to say anything.
- 30:41Speaker 4: I will say heavy is the head that wears the crown?
- 30:45Speaker 3: Wait?
- 30:46Speaker 2: Is that what ad Lisa vander Pump saying her?
- 30:48Speaker 5: Is that what she did she say that?
- 30:50Speaker 2: No? Oh no, she said the crown is heavy.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Dolly, Yeah, the Crown's heavy. Leave it it belongs listen.
- 30:55Speaker 5: I think I think.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Bronwyn, by the Way, is fantastic addition to some Lake
- 31:02Speaker 4: City obsessed so ridiculous, the house, the dog poop on
- 31:06Speaker 4: the floor, the outfits, the like everything about it.
- 31:10Speaker 5: I'm you know, I'm Alisa Barlow Stan.
- 31:13Speaker 4: So it's a little hard because they're at war, but
- 31:15Speaker 4: next year they'll be best for you.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Are you a Sheena Shee Stan?
- 31:19Speaker 1: Because I feel like Lisa Barlow and Sheena she are
- 31:22Speaker 1: very similar.
- 31:23Speaker 5: They are.
- 31:25Speaker 4: I mean, I have a soft spot in my heart
- 31:28Speaker 4: for the pick me energy of Sheena, And I mean
- 31:31Speaker 4: that with love because I have the same energy. Like
- 31:34Speaker 4: I I like someone that's not afraid to be like
- 31:38Speaker 4: I really wanted this for myself, Like I know people
- 31:40Speaker 4: always draggon on her, like she wanted Dancing with the Stars.
- 31:42Speaker 3: She's everything that everybody else wants to see.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I like, I'm the same way where I'm like, no, no,
- 31:48Speaker 4: I want to be on the Best Dress List like
- 31:51Speaker 4: I want like I want to be. I keep saying
- 31:53Speaker 4: I want to be on Dancing with the Stars. Now
- 31:55Speaker 4: I'm over that, and now I want to be on
- 31:56Speaker 4: the Traders, which would be amazing. I'm not no one's
- 31:58Speaker 4: gonna ask me, but like I like someone that's like
- 32:01Speaker 4: I want these things for myself. I'm I'm mad at
- 32:03Speaker 4: you trade. It would be an amazing Trader one. Oh
- 32:08Speaker 4: my god, I would be incredible. But you need, you
- 32:10Speaker 4: need what, you need time off to go do it.
- 32:12Speaker 4: You go film for like a month or something.
- 32:14Speaker 1: They take your phones and and and I've talked about
- 32:17Speaker 1: this before. I was asked to be part of season
- 32:19Speaker 1: two and they're now on to season three, but I
- 32:23Speaker 1: was still in my custody situation, which I'm I'm still
- 32:26Speaker 1: in now.
- 32:27Speaker 2: But it was like very in fresh.
- 32:29Speaker 1: It was fresh, and I'm like, so you're this is
- 32:32Speaker 1: a show that you're gonna send me to Scotland I
- 32:35Speaker 1: believe is where they filmed and take my phone and I.
- 32:38Speaker 5: Was like, I just what's the right thing?
- 32:40Speaker 2: The timing is so off?
- 32:41Speaker 1: And then that show does win an Emmy and I'm like,
- 32:43Speaker 1: are you fucking kidding?
- 32:45Speaker 2: You could have put that in my bio.
- 32:47Speaker 5: I know, but you wouldn't have gotten that one?
- 32:49Speaker 2: Why because that's.
- 32:50Speaker 5: Not like that's a best show.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Yea.
- 32:52Speaker 4: I don't think the cast gets it. I think it's
- 32:54Speaker 4: like exec for that kind of show, reality competition.
- 32:57Speaker 1: We wouldn't have gotten one for vander pump Roles either,
- 32:59Speaker 1: they told us, And so I was going to go
- 33:00Speaker 1: to a trophy shop and just how they.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Didn't put you guys on the list.
- 33:04Speaker 3: It was for production, wasn't it.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yeah, like only the like producer would get one.
- 33:08Speaker 1: But I truly would have gone and had one made
- 33:11Speaker 1: and spent four million dollars one hundred percent not four million,
- 33:15Speaker 1: but yet a few thousand.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 33:17Speaker 4: I listen, I think I am in a very I
- 33:22Speaker 4: love my husband so much. We just celebrated, like fifteen
- 33:24Speaker 4: years together, more marriage. He's it and we came. When
- 33:30Speaker 4: I met him, he was an assistant for music manager
- 33:32Speaker 4: here in Hollywood, and I was like a bait. I
- 33:34Speaker 4: had a little baby, Live Nation Digital show. And so
- 33:36Speaker 4: we've grown together in our lives. We both had nothing.
- 33:39Speaker 4: We got married in our friend's backyard, like we had
- 33:41Speaker 4: no money for a wedding, and and we've grown.
- 33:43Speaker 5: Together to be you know, very successful.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Not four million dollar diamond necklace brown when successful, but
- 33:50Speaker 4: like we're successful, we're happy. We don't like we don't
- 33:53Speaker 4: want for anything. We're healthy, Like we're happy. We have
- 33:56Speaker 4: a beautiful house. Like, so we're we're very very happy
- 34:00Speaker 4: be And I think that that is something to aspire to.
- 34:05Speaker 4: I think that Hollywood and media in general, they give
- 34:09Speaker 4: you this like, oh, it's your anniversary, you should be
- 34:11Speaker 4: getting a four million dollar thing or these big things
- 34:14Speaker 4: are Yeah, the only thing that money really gives you
- 34:17Speaker 4: is ease. It's easier, it's easier to fly in first class,
- 34:21Speaker 4: you get to board the plane first Like it's essentially
- 34:23Speaker 4: that it's easier to be rich. It's easier to go
- 34:26Speaker 4: on vacation, it's easier to provide for your family. There's
- 34:28Speaker 4: you know, less worries, but it doesn't feed your soul
- 34:31Speaker 4: and it doesn't make your life all of a sudden
- 34:34Speaker 4: like not have problems.
- 34:35Speaker 1: In my opinion, well yes, I mean I think if
- 34:40Speaker 1: you're an unhappy person, uh like, obviously, if you have money,
- 34:44Speaker 1: you don't worry about the bills being paid and keeping
- 34:46Speaker 1: the lights on. And before I knew that my person
- 34:51Speaker 1: didn't have money, I lived, like I said, of a
- 34:54Speaker 1: really beautiful life. And you know, my ring was gorgeous
- 34:58Speaker 1: and it was said to be Spencer, although it wasn't
- 35:01Speaker 1: that at the time. And I'm like, Okay, this is
- 35:03Speaker 1: not making me happy. And I always thought that all
- 35:07Speaker 1: of these things I wanted to have when I would
- 35:10Speaker 1: sit on the couch in Utah and watch like the
- 35:12Speaker 1: Fabulous and Rich Lives and it was like, uh, that
- 35:15Speaker 1: guy with the accent, he was like.
- 35:17Speaker 2: They would bold their private.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Yet and famous yes.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And he would say, how's that for sweet?
- 35:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 35:25Speaker 1: So I thought, I'm going to have all of these
- 35:28Speaker 1: things and that is going to make me happy.
- 35:30Speaker 2: And let me tell you something, I'm like, I'm.
- 35:33Speaker 1: The most miserable I have ever been. I can barely
- 35:36Speaker 1: get out of bed once I moved into this like
- 35:40Speaker 1: little apartment.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Although I had stress because of the custody battle.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I was like, I feel so All I want to
- 35:48Speaker 1: do is feel safe with my pod people that I
- 35:50Speaker 1: can trust. And I hope one day I find a
- 35:54Speaker 1: situation like you have with us.
- 35:57Speaker 4: When I find a situation, when I find situation in
- 36:00Speaker 4: a great really but I.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Say if, yeah, okay, when I find that, and I
- 36:04Speaker 1: don't need to get married and I don't need to
- 36:06Speaker 1: have babies with this person, like I just want forever companionship.
- 36:09Speaker 1: We don't need to sign a document like you said,
- 36:12Speaker 1: you've been with your man for fifteen years. That's a
- 36:14Speaker 1: very very long time and that should be celebrated. But
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'm the type that wants quality time like I want
- 36:21Speaker 1: to celebrate. We don't give gifts anymore for the holidays.
- 36:25Speaker 1: We spoil Ocean and we'll spoil Sosa. But our big
- 36:28Speaker 1: thing is like, let's go on a trip and just
- 36:30Speaker 1: spend time together since we since we don't do that
- 36:33Speaker 1: on a regular basis, right we all live together. But
- 36:36Speaker 1: that resonates with me. You saying that all the things
- 36:39Speaker 1: you think are going to bring you happiness. We see
- 36:41Speaker 1: with braun Win this season she's got this four million
- 36:43Speaker 1: dollar necklace, and as we see the preview for what's
- 36:47Speaker 1: to come.
- 36:47Speaker 4: It's kind of like, uh, like you kind of just
- 36:50Speaker 4: you know, you kind of want that John Barlow that's
- 36:53Speaker 4: gonna look at you and be like you're absolutely insane.
- 36:57Speaker 5: But like, okay, let me look.
- 36:58Speaker 4: If there's a first class upgrade for this ninety minute flake,
- 37:01Speaker 4: because that's what makes Lisa happy. And I know that
- 37:03Speaker 4: what made her tick.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Like close, you're being so you're being.
- 37:06Speaker 4: So dumb, Lisa. This is the stupid like, but he's
- 37:08Speaker 4: not yelling at her. He knows who she is and
- 37:11Speaker 4: he loves her in spite of her flaws.
- 37:13Speaker 5: What a beautiful thing.
- 37:14Speaker 2: That is exactly what I want.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Very true. I didn't even pick up on that.
- 37:18Speaker 4: Like he's like ride or die. I am so stupid.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I cry you guys, let me tell you something. Okay,
- 37:24Speaker 4: this is a good Hollywood story for the Hollywood fans.
- 37:27Speaker 4: So a few years ago I created a show called
- 37:29Speaker 4: super Fan. It was a competition show that got bought
- 37:32Speaker 4: by CBS.
- 37:33Speaker 2: No big deal, No, that's insane.
- 37:35Speaker 5: It was the biggest it came.
- 37:38Speaker 4: It came from my brain into a PowerPoint, into a
- 37:41Speaker 4: pitch it took five years to get on the air.
- 37:44Speaker 4: And in the middle of that five years, there was
- 37:46Speaker 4: a time where I got a call from the big
- 37:48Speaker 4: Boss at CBS and they're like, we're not we're not
- 37:50Speaker 4: going to green light this. Like we love it, but
- 37:52Speaker 4: like it's just not the right time.
- 37:54Speaker 5: What did I do. I sat in my basement.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Drank two bottles of Pino grigio and yelled at my
- 38:00Speaker 4: He's like, Babe, you have so much to be thankful for.
- 38:03Speaker 5: Look at us, You're the host of this show, you
- 38:05Speaker 5: have this, you have this. And I just went but
- 38:07Speaker 5: I wanted to be a stop, just.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Drunk, yelling that for six hours, wasted at my husband.
- 38:16Speaker 4: And you know what he did. He sat beside me,
- 38:18Speaker 4: sweet Chris night and was like, I.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Know, babe, I know this hurts. You're gonna be okay.
- 38:23Speaker 2: We love you. I get it.
- 38:24Speaker 5: No, I understand. This was your big break, this was
- 38:26Speaker 5: your Like he didn't. He wasn't like you're so stupid,
- 38:29Speaker 5: Like shut up, baby baby me. I just want to
- 38:32Speaker 5: be a baby bird sometime too.
- 38:34Speaker 2: What are you going to say?
- 38:35Speaker 6: Well, I was just gonna say, but that's the thing
- 38:37Speaker 6: is like, if I was with somebody, I didn't love
- 38:39Speaker 6: I'd be like this, but it's just crazy. What if she,
- 38:41Speaker 6: if I'm absolutely in love with her, I would just say,
- 38:44Speaker 6: just keep it coming, bab, just keep crying out.
- 38:46Speaker 5: No you need another bottle? Just throwing out. Do we
- 38:49Speaker 5: need to post ba car? Do you need a McDonald's
- 38:51Speaker 5: French trying to die coke?
- 38:52Speaker 4: Now?
- 38:52Speaker 5: Okay, let me get that out the house.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:54Speaker 4: When I'm sad, Chris brings me home an ice cream cake,
- 38:56Speaker 4: like he just knows, and it's like it's not a burkin.
- 38:59Speaker 4: It's just that support of like being undying and knowing
- 39:03Speaker 4: that we're stupid. We're gonna say stupid things and we're
- 39:05Speaker 4: get emotional and we make no sense. But like, I'm
- 39:08Speaker 4: gonna love you in spite of them.
- 39:11Speaker 5: I can I tell you we're probably gonna break up
- 39:13Speaker 5: right after this?
- 39:13Speaker 1: No, no, no, you will absolutely not break up. Where's
- 39:18Speaker 1: Chris from.
- 39:18Speaker 5: He's from LA born and bred, which is why.
- 39:22Speaker 1: People who are born and raised in La there are
- 39:26Speaker 1: so different than people who are transplants.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Yeah, he has he is the he's impossible. So there's
- 39:34Speaker 4: a there's two other Chris Knights. There's one who's a
- 39:36Speaker 4: country singer. Okay, and then there's the one who was
- 39:39Speaker 4: on The Brady Bunch, Christopher Knight, and now sells out
- 39:42Speaker 4: to friend Sure, which I own the Christopher Knight collection
- 39:44Speaker 4: on Amazon.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Use that on your next Amazon Live blah blah. So
- 39:49Speaker 5: there's there's other Chris Knights.
- 39:50Speaker 4: And for a long time people would google like who
- 39:53Speaker 4: is Chris Knight? And then the country singer would come
- 39:55Speaker 4: up and people would be like, this is not what
- 39:56Speaker 4: I expected from you. This like five to four little
- 39:59Speaker 4: man to make it in music, And I was like, no, No,
- 40:01Speaker 4: Chris Night is almost impossible.
- 40:03Speaker 5: He is so private.
- 40:04Speaker 4: He had one of his artists on the cover of
- 40:07Speaker 4: Billboard magazine just a few months ago and refused to
- 40:10Speaker 4: be like it was a celebration of his career. He
- 40:13Speaker 4: will not and he would not let them interview him.
- 40:15Speaker 4: There's other people you want to know he wants.
- 40:17Speaker 3: He is no social media.
- 40:19Speaker 5: He will not allow I can post him like three
- 40:22Speaker 5: times a year with his full like he has to
- 40:24Speaker 5: be approved.
- 40:25Speaker 4: I could make so much more money if he would
- 40:27Speaker 4: be willing to do an Instagram ad with me, but
- 40:28Speaker 4: he won't. Like one time for Fabletics, I was like,
- 40:30Speaker 4: can you just be in the holiday campaign with me?
- 40:32Speaker 4: I'll just jump up and I'll say that we're both
- 40:33Speaker 4: wearing matching onesies.
- 40:34Speaker 2: He's like, fuck no, that's why it works.
- 40:37Speaker 4: But we are not public, like he does not want
- 40:40Speaker 4: to be a part of that at.
- 40:42Speaker 3: All, but that's why it works.
- 40:43Speaker 4: I feel I do feel like sometimes people are like
- 40:45Speaker 4: keeping up with the Joneses, being like, oh my god,
- 40:48Speaker 4: it's two point seven weeks with my best friend on
- 40:53Speaker 4: social media?
- 40:53Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 40:54Speaker 4: Like so much, honey bunny my best friend. And I
- 40:58Speaker 4: was like, I don't This feels like it's part of
- 41:01Speaker 4: the act. And I'm like, you need one thing in
- 41:03Speaker 4: your life that is so real children for you, Like right,
- 41:06Speaker 4: it's like you need something that is grounding you, where
- 41:10Speaker 4: especially people in LA and Hollywood, like you need something
- 41:12Speaker 4: that is just.
- 41:13Speaker 2: It's just yours. It's just yours that you go home to.
- 41:16Speaker 1: And I've had people ask me, would you ever pitch
- 41:19Speaker 1: a show about your family?
- 41:21Speaker 2: Number one? I don't even know.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I prefer to be a part of an ensemble cast
- 41:25Speaker 1: where the stakes are high, but they're not as high
- 41:27Speaker 1: as when you throw your family on there. And it's like,
- 41:30Speaker 1: my family is It's the one place where I can
- 41:33Speaker 1: come home, and I get to be just that's it.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I just get to be and Ocean doesn't get to film.
- 41:41Speaker 1: And it's almost a blessing because that it's the one
- 41:44Speaker 1: part of my life that no one gets to judge.
- 41:46Speaker 1: You don't get to have an opinion. I get to
- 41:48Speaker 1: be the mom that I want to be, and no
- 41:51Speaker 1: one's coming in from the sides. Kathy from Kentucky doesn't
- 41:55Speaker 1: get to tell me what I'm doing wrong, to make
- 41:57Speaker 1: me fucking second guess my parenting.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Like it is what it is. We'll fix it if
- 42:03Speaker 2: we have to.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I don't have to relive it or say, oh my god,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I should have never done that. You know, there's so
- 42:08Speaker 1: much of that that I really love that you have
- 42:11Speaker 1: your husband to go home to and just be.
- 42:14Speaker 4: He has no idea. He's like because Kelty Night, host
- 42:17Speaker 4: of B News, she's like glamour. She has her clip
- 42:19Speaker 4: and hair extensions, she has glam she has really fabulous
- 42:22Speaker 4: expensive clothes, and she's on the red carpet and she's
- 42:24Speaker 4: like going to dinner at Bird Street and like being
- 42:26Speaker 4: fancy and calling the paparazzi in herself like that kind
- 42:29Speaker 4: of thing. And then like Kelty, the real keilty is like,
- 42:32Speaker 4: I wear sweatpants, I love to read books. I like
- 42:34Speaker 4: to play canasta with my two best gay friends.
- 42:36Speaker 2: That's a hard fucking game.
- 42:38Speaker 5: It's so hard.
- 42:39Speaker 4: But like and I like to, like, you know, organize
- 42:41Speaker 4: closets on the weekend as like a stress relief.
- 42:43Speaker 5: Like I'm such a nerd.
- 42:44Speaker 2: You know, we look forward to you coming over and
- 42:46Speaker 2: doing that for us.
- 42:46Speaker 5: Yes, is the house a mess with the babies.
- 42:49Speaker 2: It's a lot.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I'm having my whole Okay, you're gonna love this. I'm
- 42:52Speaker 1: having my whole room redone. So I just moved into
- 42:55Speaker 1: this house.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:56Speaker 1: And by the way, you saying that that, you know
- 42:59Speaker 1: people see you in your fabulous When when we got
- 43:01Speaker 1: you to say yes to this podcast, I was tripping balls.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I'm like, she's so fabulous. Her fashion sense is insane.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 43:09Speaker 1: She posted something on her socials with the Lady Gang
- 43:12Speaker 1: about shiplap walls.
- 43:14Speaker 2: I have shiplap walls. How do I get rid of
- 43:16Speaker 2: this by.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Tomorrow so that I can say that I also hate
- 43:22Speaker 1: shiplap walls.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Well, I love a shiplap wall. So we're good, La La.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Because this happened on Lady Gang TV Becatobe and my
- 43:28Speaker 4: co host this is our calling card of life I had.
- 43:32Speaker 4: We filmed that show in my house, which is like
- 43:35Speaker 4: the way you guys do that is like nightmare like.
- 43:36Speaker 4: It was just like having the almost people in your space.
- 43:40Speaker 4: So we filmed in the house and we were like
- 43:43Speaker 4: talking about Jennifer Lopez and what's the girl from Magnolia
- 43:50Speaker 4: Joanna Gaines. Okay, were filming a show together and they'd
- 43:52Speaker 4: been paparazzi and Joanna Gaines was on the beach in
- 43:54Speaker 4: like overalls and like a theory crew neck sweater being
- 43:57Speaker 4: like Joanna Gaines, and Jaylo was like in her jacket
- 43:59Speaker 4: for the wedding planner, being like looking at house like
- 44:02Speaker 4: it was such a stage thing. But anyway, so we
- 44:04Speaker 4: talk about that and then that's when Becca was like,
- 44:06Speaker 4: if I see another Joanna Gains shiplap wall, like I'm
- 44:09Speaker 4: gonna lose my life. And I literally had just that
- 44:13Speaker 4: week before finished my bathroom. So I stood up and
- 44:16Speaker 4: I walked and the camera follows me and I was like,
- 44:18Speaker 4: this is ship lap and She's like, I know, I
- 44:19Speaker 4: hate it.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I love a textured wall.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Okay, Well, it was.
- 44:25Speaker 1: BuzzFeed who had posted something this was like a month
- 44:29Speaker 1: ago about all the celebrity It was. No, it was homes,
- 44:35Speaker 1: things in homes that they never want to see again,
- 44:37Speaker 1: one of them being the bouclet fabriacd couches.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Another was the ship lap wall.
- 44:43Speaker 1: I have two in my house, yeah, one of which, no,
- 44:47Speaker 1: they're both in my fucking bedroom.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 1: And I didn't realize. I was like, oh, what a
- 44:50Speaker 1: cute little accent wall. I didn't know it was ship lap.
- 44:53Speaker 2: I've got like Venetian plaster. Yeah, it's pretty to like
- 44:58Speaker 2: break up, just the white walls, just like a little
- 45:00Speaker 2: accent something. Are you thinking about removing it?
- 45:04Speaker 3: Wow?
- 45:04Speaker 5: I sold that house. Okay, Yeah, I.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Got a new, non ship lab house. But now I've
- 45:09Speaker 4: made a new mistake, which is I got duped by
- 45:12Speaker 4: anthropology into thinking I needed a funny wallpaper. Yeah, so
- 45:19Speaker 4: I got I got a little bathroom and I got
- 45:21Speaker 4: a wallpaper where it's like a slop smoking a.
- 45:23Speaker 5: Hookah, and it was I love it.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Six dollars a roll, another thousand dollars for the dude
- 45:28Speaker 4: to come in and put it in because I don't
- 45:30Speaker 4: trust myself with a wallpaper. And I'm just like, oh god,
- 45:34Speaker 4: I really got to do. I will do any trend
- 45:36Speaker 4: like I am. So anyway, I think you should leave
- 45:39Speaker 4: the ship lab. I think if you need to, you
- 45:41Speaker 4: could paint it like a really pretty like deep green
- 45:44Speaker 4: or something. So it's just like an accent wall with
- 45:47Speaker 4: wood instead.
- 45:47Speaker 5: Of the white. But I personally like it.
- 45:50Speaker 4: And I think you should wait to do anything to
- 45:53Speaker 4: your house until your children are older, because they are
- 45:55Speaker 4: going to ruin every everything.
- 45:57Speaker 2: I love that thank you children.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Wait just wait until like they discover, you know, a
- 46:03Speaker 4: sharpie on the mom's wall or whatever.
- 46:05Speaker 5: You know what I mean.
- 46:06Speaker 4: I would just wait, like the fact that you Venetian
- 46:09Speaker 4: plaster this expensive.
- 46:10Speaker 2: And like wow, I just know.
- 46:13Speaker 1: I just came into the house, loved it and was
- 46:15Speaker 1: wait it was done. It was done, Okay. I didn't
- 46:18Speaker 1: like I didn't pick the the any any of the stuff.
- 46:20Speaker 2: It came as is.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Ok.
- 46:22Speaker 1: But it'll be my first holiday in this house.
- 46:26Speaker 4: Are you're gonna go full balsam hill like trees in
- 46:29Speaker 4: every room.
- 46:30Speaker 1: So we spend we spent usually we spend Thanksgiving in
- 46:35Speaker 1: Palm Springs and we do Christmas there as well. But
- 46:37Speaker 1: we're leaving for Hawaii the day after Thanksgiving.
- 46:41Speaker 2: So the house in the valley is not deck to
- 46:44Speaker 2: the nines.
- 46:45Speaker 1: But I want to know, like, if your family's in Edmonton,
- 46:49Speaker 1: what do you do, Like, what is your celebration going
- 46:51Speaker 1: to be?
- 46:52Speaker 2: Like tomorrow? Are you cooking?
- 46:53Speaker 4: Okay, So this is the first year Highs and Lows
- 46:56Speaker 4: of Hollywood. I hosted the Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS
- 47:01Speaker 4: for the last decade.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I wanted to ask you about it, and they got canceled.
- 47:05Speaker 4: The show is canceled. The show is canceled. Now there's
- 47:08Speaker 4: still a Thanksgiving Day parade. NBC does the Thanksgiving Day
- 47:11Speaker 4: Parade every year from Macy's where they do the store
- 47:14Speaker 4: fund and all the performances we did. I worked at
- 47:17Speaker 4: CBS for a long time, so we did like a
- 47:19Speaker 4: version of it Oprah on Fifth Avenue where we just
- 47:21Speaker 4: did the parade and then we went inside a lot
- 47:22Speaker 4: of the Broadway shows to see performances. That was like
- 47:25Speaker 4: a different version, but still millions of people watch it.
- 47:27Speaker 4: NBC was like the main one.
- 47:29Speaker 2: But yeah, and you said, that's the Macy's.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Macy's Day Parade on NBC is still happening. You can
- 47:33Speaker 4: still watch it. It's amazing, love NBC. What the much
- 47:38Speaker 4: effecta But the CBS one that I hosted for a
- 47:41Speaker 4: decade was canceled earlier this year, so I knew that
- 47:44Speaker 4: this Thanksgiving. For the first decade, I always did the
- 47:47Speaker 4: exact same thing. I went, I hosted the parade, I went,
- 47:49Speaker 4: had a nap, had a pasta, and then went saw
- 47:52Speaker 4: the rockets because I was a rocket in New York
- 47:55Speaker 4: in my twenties, a dancer, and so i'd see my
- 47:57Speaker 4: friends that are still in the rockets, which I don't
- 47:58Speaker 4: know how they're doing that, but anyway, and then I
- 48:00Speaker 4: would drink and then I would go home, like the
- 48:02Speaker 4: next day. So I never saw family, never did Thanksgiving.
- 48:05Speaker 4: This is the first year in ten years that I'm
- 48:07Speaker 4: going to my.
- 48:07Speaker 5: In laws tomorrow.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Is it?
- 48:09Speaker 1: Is it bittersweet because I'm I don't like change. I'm
- 48:12Speaker 1: a real freak about change. And once I get into
- 48:15Speaker 1: this routine of like every year, this is my plan, Yeah,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you throw me off, and I'm like tweaking out, right.
- 48:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't. I'm not happy about change. I'm mostly
- 48:24Speaker 4: not happy about like losing a job, right, you know
- 48:27Speaker 4: what I mean, Like this is what I do, and I'm.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Very passionate about live television.
- 48:32Speaker 4: I know this sounds very nervy, nerdy, but like I
- 48:36Speaker 4: there's nothing I love more than being live on television.
- 48:39Speaker 5: It is so fun. News is not taped live a lot.
- 48:42Speaker 2: I kind of like never know what's gonna happen.
- 48:44Speaker 4: Well, in the one year I saw the al Flack
- 48:47Speaker 4: duck or whatever and I accidentally said al fuck on
- 48:50Speaker 4: national television and then Howard Stern clipped it the next
- 48:53Speaker 4: morning and I was all over start. I never have
- 48:55Speaker 4: more calls in my life. They're like, I think they're
- 48:57Speaker 4: making fun of you because the parade, You're like, oh,
- 48:59Speaker 4: look the wind.
- 49:01Speaker 5: Look at the balloons, Like I don't know.
- 49:02Speaker 4: It's just so fabulous and campy and amazing. And I
- 49:05Speaker 4: just love being live on TV. Like I could just
- 49:07Speaker 4: talk for hours and hours and hours. You never know
- 49:09Speaker 4: what's gonna happen. All of a sudden, like the balloon
- 49:11Speaker 4: is crashing into the building, and it's like it's so fun.
- 49:14Speaker 5: It's like an adventure. It's so fun.
- 49:17Speaker 4: It reminds me of like back when I was a
- 49:18Speaker 4: dancer and doing shows, totally like that high of like.
- 49:22Speaker 5: Or it's happened. My tap shoe just flew off into
- 49:24Speaker 5: the audience.
- 49:25Speaker 1: But I'm still kicking, like you can embrace that. That
- 49:29Speaker 1: sends like so much stress upon.
- 49:32Speaker 3: My body because I love doing the live podcast.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I don't know what you're the main podcast.
- 49:37Speaker 3: I love it.
- 49:38Speaker 5: I love it.
- 49:39Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 49:39Speaker 5: It's just over well.
- 49:40Speaker 4: And I'm also like a nutbag for like timing. So
- 49:44Speaker 4: it's like it's such a good use of my time.
- 49:46Speaker 4: I'm making TV, it's going out live. When I finish,
- 49:48Speaker 4: I'm done, I'm paid. Like there's no you know what
- 49:51Speaker 4: I mean done, Like it's a good use of time.
- 49:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna start looking at it like that, it's it's done.
- 49:56Speaker 2: It's done, it's out.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I don't have to die here and worry about what
- 49:59Speaker 1: I said and then relive it.
- 50:01Speaker 5: It's done.
- 50:01Speaker 3: Did you like working Thanksgiving?
- 50:03Speaker 5: I loved working.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Things the same, but it's I'm Canadian, so it wasn't
- 50:06Speaker 4: Canadian Thanksgiving.
- 50:07Speaker 5: And also like I'm.
- 50:08Speaker 2: What is Canadian Thanksgiving?
- 50:10Speaker 4: It's like in October we break it up so we
- 50:12Speaker 4: have like more time for the holidays.
- 50:14Speaker 2: You guys got to figure it out.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Yeah, some time off.
- 50:16Speaker 4: But then for Christmas. I think the secret to our
- 50:20Speaker 4: marriage is we work so hard. I never see Chris.
- 50:24Speaker 4: I mean, he's always around the world. He just got
- 50:25Speaker 4: back from Switzerland. He goes to Vegas, like he's in Columbia,
- 50:29Speaker 4: he's in Vietnam, like he's all over the place with
- 50:32Speaker 4: his clients. But every Christmas we go on an insane,
- 50:35Speaker 4: life altering trip. So we did Jordan and Petra one
- 50:38Speaker 4: year and we hired a tour guide and hiked through
- 50:41Speaker 4: the hills of Petra. And like Jordan, We've done Seychelles,
- 50:46Speaker 4: we did Africa, We've done Prague, and.
- 50:49Speaker 2: And it'll always over Christmas.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Yeah, because that's the only time his clients go, like
- 50:54Speaker 4: do something as well.
- 50:54Speaker 5: Yeah, they want a vacation.
- 50:56Speaker 3: We have anything planned for this.
- 50:58Speaker 4: Yes, So this holiday season, I'm going on a dream trip.
- 51:00Speaker 4: I'm going to the Galopagos Silent. Yes, we got a
- 51:04Speaker 4: boat and so for seven days, Chris and I will
- 51:07Speaker 4: be on the water and we'll be finding the baby
- 51:09Speaker 4: sea lions, We'll be swimming with the dolphins, We'll be
- 51:12Speaker 4: seeing the penguins.
- 51:13Speaker 5: I will be deeply engaged in.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Charles Darwin Darwinism and so we're doing that and then
- 51:20Speaker 4: we're gonna go fly to Columbia. And we got a
- 51:23Speaker 4: little basket hut on the water.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Yeah, this is my dream jell this are you just
- 51:32Speaker 2: have a dog?
- 51:33Speaker 3: You I'm the cool uncle.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Do you tend to get off your phone when you
- 51:38Speaker 2: do things like that?
- 51:39Speaker 5: Bye? You will not see me. I don't exist.
- 51:42Speaker 3: You don't need to do any of that. I will.
- 51:45Speaker 5: I have if if.
- 51:46Speaker 4: I I try to schedule and I work my ass
- 51:49Speaker 4: off in the fall so that like December twentieth comes
- 51:51Speaker 4: and like I'm out. My husband has to have his
- 51:54Speaker 4: phone on for emergencies and stuff. But I know I
- 51:58Speaker 4: just am like no, I'm gone, Like you don't get me.
- 52:01Speaker 4: I turn my phone off. I bring journals. I we
- 52:03Speaker 4: do plot like Matt Plate's every day. I have a
- 52:07Speaker 4: like a we started this thing when we started doing
- 52:09Speaker 4: these trips, like a s.
- 52:11Speaker 5: We have a journal. You're here for Vanda Pump rules.
- 52:14Speaker 4: You've gotten Kelty's journal tips. So I have a journal
- 52:19Speaker 4: that's like our trip journal, and every time we go
- 52:21Speaker 4: on a trip, we take it and then we each
- 52:23Speaker 4: write every day about like what we experienced, and so
- 52:26Speaker 4: it's now, you know, fifteen years later, we have our
- 52:28Speaker 4: first trip we ever tip to blize. We have all
- 52:30Speaker 4: these trips we've gone in and like every day is recorded.
- 52:32Speaker 4: We each trade and write fun to go. Look, we
- 52:35Speaker 4: look back at it. He did Mount Everest base camp
- 52:37Speaker 4: without me, Thank god.
- 52:38Speaker 3: I don't want to.
- 52:39Speaker 5: He took the journal on that because it was such
- 52:40Speaker 5: a big trip.
- 52:41Speaker 4: So looking back to him, be like, I'm Monday sixteen.
- 52:43Speaker 4: I think I'm gonna dash. He was there a little bit,
- 52:46Speaker 4: but I was really happy for him, as like.
- 52:47Speaker 3: I'm happy for him too, But yeah, fuck that I would.
- 52:50Speaker 1: I would have been nervous to have my man go
- 52:52Speaker 1: and but at least if something happened, you'd have his journal.
- 52:56Speaker 5: I had the journal.
- 52:57Speaker 3: He didn't.
- 52:57Speaker 5: He had the journal. To you, They're like, we don't
- 53:01Speaker 5: take bodies off Everest. But I'd be like, but can
- 53:03Speaker 5: you go up and grab that journal.
- 53:04Speaker 3: I just need the journal.
- 53:05Speaker 2: But I love that you do the journals. That's actually
- 53:07Speaker 2: a genius.
- 53:08Speaker 4: I'm a big journal I had a journal I started
- 53:10Speaker 4: when I was eighteen years old.
- 53:12Speaker 5: I left home. I was a dancer, showgirl on cruise ships.
- 53:14Speaker 5: What's upsequent thongs?
- 53:17Speaker 4: And my best friend Jeff and I started journaling and
- 53:19Speaker 4: we have four editions now. It's my most pride possession.
- 53:22Speaker 4: It's like if the house is on fire, you grab
- 53:23Speaker 4: your children. I grab my journals.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Are they like beautiful journals that are like, uh no,
- 53:28Speaker 1: just anything.
- 53:29Speaker 4: I mean we now were like when we need a
- 53:30Speaker 4: new one, we think about, like what do we want
- 53:32Speaker 4: to spend the next four years writing in?
- 53:33Speaker 5: But it's just whatever.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I had a journal during my pregnancy with Ocean, and
- 53:38Speaker 1: you kept it up so I would write in it,
- 53:42Speaker 1: like I said, during my entire pregnancy and throughout the
- 53:45Speaker 1: first seven months of her life. Cut to my life
- 53:48Speaker 1: falling apart ends up very different. And I, unless I
- 53:52Speaker 1: go on to the internet, I have nothing of my
- 53:56Speaker 1: ex and I nothing nothing in my phone. I went
- 54:00Speaker 1: through this journal and any mention of him I just
- 54:03Speaker 1: redactateely scribbled out. So this journal is just like a
- 54:07Speaker 1: beauty lunch of Like you should pick it back.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Up, though, because it's going to be really important for
- 54:12Speaker 4: Ocean in fifteen years when she wants to know about it,
- 54:16Speaker 4: for her for you to be like, Okay, now I'm
- 54:19Speaker 4: a year or whatever later, here's where I'm at.
- 54:21Speaker 5: Here's the update.
- 54:23Speaker 4: We are thriving, you know what I mean, Like you
- 54:25Speaker 4: gotta like you gotta write the next chapter.
- 54:27Speaker 2: I do need to write the next chapter.
- 54:29Speaker 1: There are so many things that I want to do
- 54:30Speaker 1: in twenty twenty five where I look back and.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Go, okay, things took a shift. So twenty twenty five.
- 54:38Speaker 1: And I know you're all going to think I'm insane
- 54:39Speaker 1: because I've been reclaiming my life for three years now,
- 54:41Speaker 1: but it is I have had a hard time kind
- 54:45Speaker 1: of getting myself back up on my feet. Even though
- 54:47Speaker 1: the outside world may see me as a certain way.
- 54:50Speaker 1: When I go home it can become a little bit intense.
- 54:53Speaker 1: So for twenty twenty five, what is your what would
- 54:56Speaker 1: you like to change or take on?
- 54:59Speaker 4: Ooh, okay, this is really good. I also think just
- 55:03Speaker 4: in I just want to say this to you. It's
- 55:06Speaker 4: so important that you give yourself grace. Think you, because
- 55:11Speaker 4: grief is not a oh we give someone three weeks
- 55:14Speaker 4: to grieve the life they thought they had. Grief is
- 55:17Speaker 4: never ending. You will grieve this portion of your life
- 55:20Speaker 4: and what you went through for the rest of your life.
- 55:21Speaker 5: And that's you have to be.
- 55:23Speaker 4: I think open to the fact that it never goes away,
- 55:27Speaker 4: the heartbreak and the destruction of waking up and being like, oh,
- 55:31Speaker 4: nothing in my life is what I thought it was.
- 55:33Speaker 4: I got gas lip by my own life. I let
- 55:35Speaker 4: myself be gas lip by like that all of those
- 55:37Speaker 4: emotions they never go away. It just gets easier and
- 55:41Speaker 4: less like detrimental to your daily life, right, Like days
- 55:45Speaker 4: get easier, you're more together, you're you know, able to
- 55:47Speaker 4: get up without being like the dread of it all.
- 55:50Speaker 4: But like you're going to be thinking about this when
- 55:52Speaker 4: you're sixty five, Like there's no way it there's no
- 55:55Speaker 4: eraser for life unfortunately, So I'm sorry for that, but
- 55:58Speaker 4: like I'm excited for you for twenty twenty five because
- 56:00Speaker 4: you can reset totally. You can never erase, like it's
- 56:03Speaker 4: not the journal. You can't go in and redact life,
- 56:05Speaker 4: which is so hard.
- 56:07Speaker 2: I know.
- 56:07Speaker 4: I wish you could just be like I'm out bye,
- 56:09Speaker 4: you didn't exist, like.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's nice, a little like men in black things yep.
- 56:13Speaker 4: Eraser, that would be great. It's not happening like that.
- 56:16Speaker 4: So you have to set your expectation that like it's
- 56:18Speaker 4: okay to want to scribble out someone's name, or it's
- 56:20Speaker 4: okay to have those days where you're like, oh, I'm
- 56:22Speaker 4: still putting it together three years later, Like that's just life,
- 56:25Speaker 4: you know, don't you think? I think so too, Like
- 56:27Speaker 4: it's like give yourself the expectation that like, I still
- 56:30Speaker 4: Jack and I own Lady Gang.
- 56:31Speaker 5: We have a Mutrux boyfriend. That's how we met. One
- 56:33Speaker 5: of my co hosts. I love this.
- 56:35Speaker 4: We still talk about him at our live shows to
- 56:38Speaker 4: this day. I dated him in two thousand and six, okay,
- 56:41Speaker 4: and she dated him in two thousand and five.
- 56:43Speaker 3: Get me, I.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Haven't talked to him in twenty years. We put up
- 56:46Speaker 4: photos at our live shows and we're like, where is he?
- 56:48Speaker 2: Now?
- 56:49Speaker 5: Here's the text message he was sending me. Here's the
- 56:51Speaker 5: text message he was sending you, Like, where is this man? Well,
- 56:54Speaker 5: he was.
- 56:55Speaker 4: He's a musician. He's off the internet. I think because
- 56:57Speaker 4: of us, I would be too, you know, but like yeah, so,
- 57:00Speaker 4: but like it never goes away, Like I still feel
- 57:02Speaker 4: so stupid. I let that man cheat on me for
- 57:04Speaker 4: so long, and I knew better, and I knew I
- 57:06Speaker 4: saw the red flag was red flagging, and I was
- 57:08Speaker 4: just like, no.
- 57:09Speaker 5: I love him. My little rock star is so fun. No,
- 57:11Speaker 5: it was not fun.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Okay, So for twenty twenty five, I haven't quite listed
- 57:19Speaker 4: down my manifestations yet, but I do believe in this wholeheartedly.
- 57:23Speaker 4: And I know this because I before I met Chris,
- 57:28Speaker 4: I was in this bad relationship for a long time
- 57:30Speaker 4: with my little rock star, and I got out of it,
- 57:32Speaker 4: and I was a very broken person. And my girlfriend
- 57:34Speaker 4: Emily made me put up a sign on my back,
- 57:37Speaker 4: like a huge poster board in my bathroom mirror, so
- 57:39Speaker 4: I had to like do my makeup over here, and
- 57:41Speaker 4: the sign was taking up the whole mirror and it
- 57:42Speaker 4: said it will take an exceptional man to be with me,
- 57:45Speaker 4: because I'm beyond extraordinary. And I looked at that every
- 57:49Speaker 4: day for two years. I literally looked at it every
- 57:52Speaker 4: day when I brush my teeth. And then I met
- 57:53Speaker 4: Chris Knight. I have been making manifestless. When I got
- 57:58Speaker 4: signed to my agency, I met William Morris. I went
- 58:01Speaker 4: into that meeting like a fucking loser with a poster
- 58:04Speaker 4: board and it literally had in color coded sharpie marker
- 58:08Speaker 4: all the things I was going to accomplish.
- 58:09Speaker 5: I have a photo of this.
- 58:11Speaker 4: It's literally like host national television show, brand deal with
- 58:14Speaker 4: TJ Max, New York Times bestseller, like it was the
- 58:18Speaker 4: most At this time. I was like a newbie. First agency.
- 58:22Speaker 4: Did none of this stuff could have been like people
- 58:24Speaker 4: have been like.
- 58:25Speaker 5: That's nice to meet you, so nice.
- 58:27Speaker 4: Yeah, they're like uh huh, inspiration to girls, Like it
- 58:30Speaker 4: was all clothing line. I look back at that board.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Every single thing on that board. We had a clothing
- 58:37Speaker 4: line with Express. We have a New York Times bestselling book.
- 58:39Speaker 4: I'm the host of E News, I do motivational speaking
- 58:42Speaker 4: for women. I'm doing a huge thing with Marshalls right
- 58:45Speaker 4: now where we have forty women and I'm being their
- 58:47Speaker 4: guru for a year. Like every single thing on that list.
- 58:50Speaker 4: So what you and I now every year do a
- 58:53Speaker 4: manifest list. We do a really good episode for Lady
- 58:56Speaker 4: Gang where I make everyone do it, and then I
- 58:58Speaker 4: put it up in three places in my life. In
- 59:00Speaker 4: my bathroom, it's in my office, and it's in my
- 59:01Speaker 4: work closet, and I look at it.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Every single day I'm doing it.
- 59:06Speaker 4: And some of those things don't come true and you've
- 59:08Speaker 4: got to move them over to the next year. Yeah,
- 59:10Speaker 4: but your mind, like pretending to be the person that
- 59:15Speaker 4: you want to become is the best way to become
- 59:18Speaker 4: that person. Like you just I put on that feeling
- 59:21Speaker 4: of like what will I feel like when I'm a
- 59:23Speaker 4: New York Times bestseller.
- 59:25Speaker 5: I'll hold my head higher.
- 59:26Speaker 4: I'll know that no one can fuck with me, like,
- 59:29Speaker 4: and I just become that person until it becomes true.
- 59:31Speaker 4: It's delusion, you know, But why not?
- 59:34Speaker 2: But why not?
- 59:35Speaker 5: But why not?
- 59:36Speaker 2: Why you just have to.
- 59:37Speaker 4: Get really real and really focus on like we're talking
- 59:41Speaker 4: Burke and Bigs, what do I want for wanting it?
- 59:43Speaker 5: And what do I really want?
- 59:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 59:45Speaker 4: So, like what do I want just because everyone says
- 59:48Speaker 4: I should want it? A big has, a fast car,
- 59:50Speaker 4: this career whatever, What do I really want in my
- 59:54Speaker 4: sole person deepest, Like what will professionally and personally, like
- 59:59Speaker 4: what do I really want? Like and you know, I
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: think one of the best pieces of advice that I
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: ever got when I look online and you're saying, like
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: you go in this deep seat of jealousy or not jealousy,
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: but like this scroll of like you were scrolling and.
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: We're seeing what everyone else has.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: In order to have what Laala has, you have to
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: trade places with every aspect of her life.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: So it's yeah, it.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Would be so fun to go to Bravocon and have
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: people chase me down the hallway because I'm so famous
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: and like, it would be so fun to be a
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: real guest. Don't watch What Happens Live and not the
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: bartender all of those things, Like I would love to
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: have those things that you have, but in order to
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: be Lalla, I would have to trade my life. I
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: want to be married to Chris. I would have gone
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: through through your trauma. I would be not having my
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: cloud couch anymore because I'd have messy kids. Like you know,
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: so when you look at someone and you see what.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: They have, you have to take it off to take
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: it all.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: So like Bronwyn, I would love to have a four
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: million dollar anniversary gift, but then I have to be
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: married to Todd.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Right, you wanted to come from Chris. You just want
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the net clift. I totally get it.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: It's like you have to decide, like to want, just
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: to want, but like what do you want your whole
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: life to look like?
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: It's very important when you're manifesting to really think about, Okay,
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: what do I want? Just to want it like I
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: want to make this amount of money or whatever, but
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: like I want to make this amount of money because
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: I want.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: To be able to to Because yeah, you just have.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: To think, like I want to be in a place
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: for me. I want to be in a place where
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: I can buy a second home. For my family in
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: Mexico or somewhere warm because they my parents are elder,
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: my brother has his situation and they are fighting and
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: struggling through the winters in Canada. I would love to
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: have something for them to be in six months and Snowbird.
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: You know, that's a big goal for me. So I
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: want to make this amount of money because this is
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: what I want my life to be like, not because
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: I want to go buy four hundred Berkins.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and I love this. At the end, I had
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: the best time with you. This was so much fun.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: At the end of each episode, you do an ache
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and relief.
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Would you like to start us off?
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: No, you go first?
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Okay, Easton, all right, and go first.
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: I will start us off. So my ache, I'm taking
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: it back. I'm taking it back to the animals.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Take it back to the animals. Esen's is always an animal.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: So I'll start us off while you find it all start.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: My ache is that my daughter is just shy of
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: three months old, and I have a night nurse.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: I have the luxury of having a night nurse. Do
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: you know what a night nurse is?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Okay, So she comes up to me and she says,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: we need to get some stuff for your baby.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: For Sosa.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: She's teething and I said, come again, and she said
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: she's teething. I said, does that mean she's gonna have
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: full on teeth as like a baby bent newborn looking child,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: And she said no, but she could get teeth much sooner.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: And I was like, she's been biting my nipples while
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: nurse saying the whole nine yards. And she's also starting
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: to roll over. That does not happen. She's a bionic baby.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: And I'm sitting here and going this is going too fast.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I do not like this. Again, I don't like change.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: So that is my ache. My relief is the fact
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: that I am taking my family to Hawaii and I
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: cannot wait to shut down and just live my best life.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: We stay on the north Shore where it's like.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: No one in sight, it's little bungalows. We stay in
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: a house that literally I feel like I'm in the
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: movie Blue Crush.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: And I do like outfits and stuff or do you
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: just like.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: I learned my lesson last year, I packed a giant suitcase.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: It's two weeks.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: We have a washer and dryer. I'm packing in a backpack.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I'm not a fashion girtly. I like comfort. I want
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: to be with my family and I want no one
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: and I also don't like social media. So it's like
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I'll get a few things for content just to let
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: people know that I guess I'm alive. If they even care,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: they may unfollow me once they figure out that I'm
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: still alive.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: All good.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: I just want to be So that is my relief,
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: all right? Do you have a relief?
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: Yes? Hawaii?
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Amen?
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: Amen love that know nothing, a whole lot of spam
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: and rice?
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Have you had spam and rice?
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: Why don't eat need?
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: Okay, you're definitely not sewed for you?
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: Yes, but it sounds good, sounds fine. I'm excited about that. Okay,
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: So what is ache? What is it?
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Ache?
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: It could be anything. It could be you don't like
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: your nail color. No, not saying that you're now colors nails.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: I'll tell you my ache. Wala is that I'm here today?
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Well that hurts no, no, no, no no, I'm so happy
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: to be here. But on the way here, I got
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: a confirmation. Zerh's laughing. My assistant is here and normally
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: he does all my scheduling because I cannot schedule anything
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: I will mess it up. So on the way here,
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: I got a de era text from Kate Somerville's Skincare
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: and they were like, we are so excited to welcome
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: you for your BBL moxy laser treatment in thirty minutes.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: And I was like, no, I thought it was tomorrow.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: And I was already on the way to La La,
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: and I was like, God, damn it, Derek, I think
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: I'm sick.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: We need to call Lala. I need to I really
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: needed this laser.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: I needed this laser because the Thanksgiving break is happening.
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: It's the only time I have off TV to heal.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: I had four and a half days to get this
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: face back together before the holidays.
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: Thank you, I'm gonna go tomorrow. They thank you, Kate Summerville.
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: They rescheduled by That's what we needed for you.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I love that we're your ape, is your a I would.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: But I'm so happy to be here and thank you
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: for asking me, and so it's it's kind of my
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: relief too. But I'll tell you my relief is that
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: I I just want to be included at all times.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: And so I was so excited because I got an
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: email yesterday that E live asked me to host their
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: Golden Globes red carpet covered incredible and so I've done
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: a bunch of E lives, but you never know, just
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: being the host to B News is not your shoe in.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: It's a totally different company. So I wasn't sure if
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: they're gonna ask me. But I already had the dress
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: picked out in my mind.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: I manifested.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: And so to get the call to be like, you're
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: going to be at the Globes and I was like,
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: this is amazing, and so I'm gonna have the dress fitting.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: I like to have the dress fitting before the holidays
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: and then I can just have my holidays. Come back,
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: get a spray tand get a manny petty on the carpet, boom,
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: a little water pill, get that extra suction in the
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: arm muscle.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: Who I'll do it.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I love your ache and relief. That was so good
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: and congratulations. Yeah, you're all very happy for you. I
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: had the best time with you. You're like I could
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: talk to you for hours.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: I know, I really feel like we had a kindred
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: moment you two. I'm actually coming to Hawaii with you guys,
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: so that'll be so fun.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Excellent. We have an extra room Frome one. Come all,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: let's be a.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: Cool ant room. Yeah exactly, Let's come to my room
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: and swear.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you can hit his vapor there. Yeah. What do
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: you have going on?
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: Okay, so I'm so excited. I want to invite all
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: your listeners because I know they're vander Pump girlies. But
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: we have Lady Gang is embarking on something new. It's
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: called Lady World. It's a festival. It's like Coachella for ladies.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: It's in Destin, Florida, September twenty six to twenty eight,
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: which I know is a year from now. But the
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: reason we did that is there's a payment plan. It's
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: very affordable. Starts at three hundred dollars for the weekend,
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: but there's a payment plan where you can sign up
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: now and then pay all year. But basically, it's three
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: days of fun on the beach. In the mornings, we
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: do like pilates on the beach, yogon the bleach, like
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: you know, hang out, pickleball, laser tag beads with Becca Crafts,
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: line painting, manifestation classes, like everything during the day and
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: then at night we have some of your favorite podcasts
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: comedians and music, so like on Friday Night you might
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: see Caitlin Bristow Stacy and then we have pop t
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: K which is like Chris Kirkpatrick from Ensinct, Mark McGrath LFO,
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: like doing a whole thing. And so Lady Gang is
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: performing and so justin Sylvester's coming Ariana will be there.
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: We have Laurence Speed and Cameron Hamilton from Love Is Blind.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: I mean it's just going to be this like pop
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: culture weekend. But what's really super cool is there's a
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: gifting suite, Like you get to go in the gifting suite.
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: There's these little coves, food beverage on delivery. Like it's
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: just gonna be the ultimate girls weekend. It's fun friendships,
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: no pressure, no getting better, no detoks. It's just like
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: day drinking, beach pop culture. And so tickets are available
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: at Ladyworld dot co. And I would love to see
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: everyone there.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Yes, I literally made it.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: You need a girl, We need to add you to
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: the lineup.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: We need to sell maybe five hundred more tickets and
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: then we can open that budget up get some more Gurly.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: No, I love this for you. Is there going to
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: be a space for the husbands? If someone wants to
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: bring a husband.
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: This is a great question.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: So we have a husband hangout that is hosted by
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: my husband, Chris, Jack's husband, Jared, and Becka's husband, and
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: it's going to be like couches and sports and beers
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: and whiskey and like activities for them to do where
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: you can literally drop your husband off at daycare and
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: then do all your gurly things. Because here's the thing,
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: and this is what's crazy, same thing with your podcast.
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: The gurlies listen, but the men's are listening to they're
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: in the car driving around like we do lady ging
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: shows and people are like, I love you, I love you,
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: I know everything about you, and I'm like, but you're
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: the husband and boyfriends my wife. It's gonna be really
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: fun and then they'll come and watch the shows too,
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: because it's really going to be for everybody. We also
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: have a lot of solo ladies. We have a lot
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: of listeners coming by themselves. We just signed up our
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: one hundred and twenty fifth solo lady. So, like, if
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: you are in a city where you you know, or
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: you want to make new friends, I think making new friends.
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: As adults is so hard.
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: Sign up as a sol lady, We're gonna we're to
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: match you for your accommodations. We're gonna match you into
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: like your little seating coves. So we're gonna make you
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: new friends, like so the Chicago girlies would be together,
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: the Philly girls would be together, and you can walk
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: away with new best friends.
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: So yeah, it's really cool.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: This is really amazing. I'm very very happy for you.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: Everything I've ever wanted in like a girly summer summer camp.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: Because as you know, when we get super busy and
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: overwhelmed in our lives, our girls' trips are less and less.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: You know, it's like the bachelorettes and like the weddings
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: and like the birthday trips and stuff. They don't happen
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: the way they used to, like in our twenties and
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: early thirties. So I really just want to give everyone
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: an excuse to like have an organized, chaotic weekend.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: So ladyworld dot Co amazing. We can't to come and
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: play with you.
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: Yes, let's go out gifting sweet.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: I'll be with you, Chris.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys, thank you so much for listening to
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: another episode of the Give That Lala Podcast.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: I love you so much and I will catch you
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: next week. Bye.
