- 0:00Chapter 3 from the book of Daniel.
- 0:03I am going to warn you right now that this is going to probably
- 0:08be a long episode because there is so much to talk about and
- 0:15it's so important. And we will get into
- 0:19Christianity, Judaism and Islam when we talk about this and this
- 0:27chapter, I think what I'll do is I'm going to pause at each each
- 0:31section and then go through some of the research that I did.
- 0:35So I have backup for everything that I will state.
- 0:38It is, you know, it is, you'll be able to find it.
- 0:43You can search it yourself and find it.
- 0:45So whatever I say here is something that is publicly
- 0:49available and it's not just my own thoughts.
- 0:54However, there are some things that may be my own thoughts and
- 0:58I will clearly state that before saying that because I don't want
- 1:02to mislead anyone. But I really want people to
- 1:05think about this and to and have discussions, have follow up
- 1:11discussions with people about this.
- 1:12So before we get started, let's pray.
- 1:15Dear Lord, please be with us. Give us wisdom, insight, peace
- 1:23through your word and let us understand.
- 1:27Open our eyes, let the Holy Spirit give us wisdom, peace,
- 1:32comfort, all of those things that the Holy Spirit gives.
- 1:35We ask this in Jesus name, Amen. This is about the image of gold
- 1:43and the blazing furnace. So in chapter 2, Nebuchadnezzar,
- 1:48King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, had a dream and Daniel explained
- 1:52to him that the head of the statue that he saw in his dream
- 1:56was him. And he was like the the 1st
- 1:59Kingdom of a series of kingdoms of four kingdoms that would
- 2:03eventually come. So Nebuchadnezzar took and ran
- 2:06with us because he got a dream about it.
- 2:08So here's what he did. King Nebuchadnezzar made an
- 2:12image of gold 60 cubits high and six cubits wide and set it up in
- 2:18the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
- 2:22So this was done in Iraq. It'd be really interesting if
- 2:26that ever turns up archaeologically that huge
- 2:29statue. But anyway, this is a
- 2:33significant statue. It's 90 feet high and 9 feet
- 2:37wide, or 27 meters high and 2.7 meters wide.
- 2:42So this is pretty significant. And if it's out on a plane, just
- 2:45think of how tall that stands up and is visible.
- 2:49And this is something that let's keep in mind too, a lot of these
- 2:55accounts like this is a literal account.
- 2:59It's not a made-up story. This is a, this just talks of, I
- 3:03mean, this is an actual event that happened.
- 3:06And at the same time, it's symbolic prophetically.
- 3:12And I believe it also has future significance to us in prophecy.
- 3:19And I'll explain that as we go along.
- 3:22So this is a really important chapter.
- 3:24So he summoned the say traps per prefects, governors, advisors,
- 3:31treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial
- 3:37officials to come to the dedication of the image he had
- 3:42set up. If we've read about Bible
- 3:45prophecy, there will be a future leader that's going to set up an
- 3:49image and there will be a false prophet that allows the image to
- 3:56speak. And we aren't given much more in
- 4:00details of specifically what this image is, but this
- 4:03certainly seems to be like a cursor or a foreshadowing of
- 4:07that future event. This is someone filled with
- 4:10pride and he's setting up an image of himself to be
- 4:14worshipped. And that's what this other
- 4:18entity in the future will be doing, will set up an image.
- 4:23The false prophet will give him power to actually speak.
- 4:26This image will speak and it will cause all those who do not
- 4:31worship it to be killed. So it's very, very similar
- 4:36because you'll see in in this chapter what this, you know,
- 4:40whoever doesn't worship this gets put in a fire, essentially
- 4:44killed. So let's continue.
- 4:47So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisors, treasurers,
- 4:51judges, magistrates, and all the other provincial officials
- 4:56assembled for the dedication of the image that King
- 4:59Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.
- 5:03Then the herald loudly proclaimed nations and peoples
- 5:08of every language. This is what you are commanded
- 5:13to do. As soon as you hear the sound of
- 5:17the horn, flute, zither, leer, harp, pipe, and all kinds of
- 5:21music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that
- 5:29King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. Whoever does not fall down and
- 5:34worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.
- 5:40There's a couple things here, fall down and worship.
- 5:43This is something that actually takes me to the story about
- 5:49Jesus. What he after he got baptized,
- 5:52he went into the wilderness and Satan tempted him for 40 days
- 5:56and Satan said, I'll give you this Kingdom.
- 5:59And he was up on a high mountaintop and said, I'll give
- 6:02this to you if you fall down and worship me.
- 6:05That's what he said. And then he also said, like, if
- 6:06you fall off this Cliff, there will be angels that will protect
- 6:10you. You won't even hurt a foot.
- 6:12There will not even be a foot that will be hurt on you.
- 6:16So again, Satan is kind of behind this like fall down and
- 6:19worship thing. And we see that repeatedly in in
- 6:24the Bible. But so anyway, it says
- 6:27therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute,
- 6:31zither, leer, harp, and all kinds of music, all the nations
- 6:36and peoples of every language fell down and worshipped the
- 6:39image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
- 6:44So this is a type and foreshadow of the Antichrist image that
- 6:52will be set up someday in the future.
- 6:54And the death if you don't worship the, the image now, when
- 7:01this like all of this music happens or this is broadcast,
- 7:06you know, like this is, you know, back in that time, they
- 7:09didn't have speakers like they do today.
- 7:13But back then they, you know, had to make noises to alert
- 7:16people that it is time to fall down and pray.
- 7:20And when I was reading that, I had this thought.
- 7:23And again, this is my own thought and something for you to
- 7:28think about and consider and pray about.
- 7:32But I've been noticing how different countries around the
- 7:37world, and actually even in the United States have recently been
- 7:43allowing the Islamic call to prayer to be broadcast over loud
- 7:50speakers, that people need to stop what they're doing and
- 7:54pray. And is there, I'm asking the
- 7:58question, is there a correlation between, is there a similarity
- 8:03between what Nebuchadnezzar did and what is happening in Islam?
- 8:09Now we're going to get into a little bit, you know, people
- 8:11might say, well, that's different because this is about,
- 8:14you know, God or Allah or whatever.
- 8:17And I will address that very, very soon because the God of the
- 8:23Bible is not the same as Allah. They do worship, they are
- 8:29worshipping a God, but it isn't the one true God from the Bible.
- 8:35And we will talk about that. That is an absolute fact and I
- 8:40have support for that. So continuing in verse 8, at
- 8:46this time some astrologers and it says also these are all they
- 8:51could also be. Well it was Chaldeans I guess in
- 8:53Hebrew came forward and denounced the Jews.
- 8:58So here we see anti-Semitism right here.
- 9:03And of course, you know, they were the ones who were captured
- 9:06by Babylon. They, you know, Babylon, King
- 9:09Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon went into Jerusalem and took a bunch
- 9:15of people and left the poor people behind, but took many of
- 9:18the other people into exile and brought them to Babylon, which
- 9:21is modern day Iraq. So they said to King
- 9:25Nebuchadnezzar, may the king live forever.
- 9:28Your Majesty has issued A decree that everyone who hears the
- 9:32sound of the horn, flute, zither, leer, harp, pipe, and
- 9:36all kinds of music must fall down and worship the image of
- 9:41gold, that whoever does not fall down and worship it will be
- 9:45thrown into a blazing furnace. This is interesting too because
- 9:51if you study the the Bible prophecy and what is supposed to
- 9:57what will happen in the end times is like the the beast
- 10:03which is symbolic of multiple leaders.
- 10:08The beast and the false prophet will be thrown into the burning
- 10:12lake of sulfur. So that's what is told to us
- 10:18through the Bible and that and, and eventually at the end of the
- 10:23thousand years after Jesus reigns on earth, also those who
- 10:29reject God, they will also go into the same place.
- 10:34All those who whose names are not written in the book of life
- 10:38will also have that same. So this is I've heard this
- 10:42before, and it seems to be true that the enemy seems to copy the
- 10:51you know what is said in the Bible?
- 10:53Copy and twist it. And although this was not
- 10:57written as prophecy, this is an account, a historical account of
- 11:02what happened to Daniel and his friends under King
- 11:08Nebuchadnezzar. So this wasn't foretold.
- 11:12This is just an account. But it's interesting that the
- 11:16same, you know, it's kind of like the opposite is happening.
- 11:20The Jewish people who are God's chosen are the ones who would
- 11:25not worship a false God, a made-up God, an image, because
- 11:29that's one of the 10 commandments that God
- 11:32established immediately with Moses.
- 11:34And so, you know, I don't really understand a lot about how
- 11:39people could worship an image when that's clearly one of the
- 11:45commands that people should not do in the 10 commandments.
- 11:48So anyway, these, these people were, you know, who were not
- 11:54worshipping, they were supposed to be thrown into the furnace.
- 11:57And then these are the people that are coming forward, these
- 12:00astrologers or Chaldeans. And it's verse 12 it says, but
- 12:04there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the
- 12:09province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who pay no
- 12:14attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor
- 12:19worship the image of the gold you have set up.
- 12:23Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned
- 12:27Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So these men were brought before
- 12:31the king, and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, Is it true,
- 12:35Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or
- 12:39worship the image of gold I have set up?
- 12:42Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, leer,
- 12:47harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall
- 12:53down and worship the image I made, very good.
- 12:57But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately
- 13:02into a blazing furnace. Then what God will be able to
- 13:08rescue you from my hand So you can see He's got right there and
- 13:12he's thinking, you know, there's no escaping this.
- 13:15You're going to you'll suffer the consequences of not doing
- 13:19what I've told you to do. So verse 16 Shadrach, Meshach
- 13:24and Abedneko replied to him. King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not
- 13:28need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.
- 13:32If we are thrown into the blazing fire, the blazing
- 13:36furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and
- 13:44he will deliver us from Your Majesty's hand.
- 13:49But even if he does not, we want you to know, your Majesty, that
- 13:55we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you
- 14:00had set up. Can you imagine this?
- 14:02You are a captive in another country, and they worship things
- 14:07that you don't worship. And to have the boldness and
- 14:12courage that these three boys, they weren't, you know, they
- 14:18were probably in their late teens, maybe early 20s.
- 14:21They were young and I, I guess young men, not boys, but young
- 14:25men. And, and they were, they had
- 14:29this boldness to stand up. I'm sure these leaders were very
- 14:33intimidating. And that can only be understood
- 14:39by truly knowing God and having courage to stand up in a
- 14:45circumstance like that. But these, these men on these
- 14:49young men, they're, they're boldly saying, no, we're not
- 14:52going to do that. And they know what's going to
- 14:55happen to them. Verse 19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was
- 14:59furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and his attitude
- 15:03toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated 7
- 15:08times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest
- 15:13soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
- 15:19and throw them into the blazing furnace.
- 15:23So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans, and
- 15:27other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.
- 15:32The King's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the
- 15:37flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach,
- 15:44Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, firmly
- 15:49tied, fell into the blazing furnace.
- 15:55So there's Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that are in the
- 15:58furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped
- 16:05to his feet in amazement and asked his advisors.
- 16:09Weren't there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?
- 16:15OK, so think about this also. Well, I guess it's he's
- 16:18directing it to them because they were out openly going
- 16:24against him, probably in front of other people.
- 16:27And but I'm thinking, you know, were these the only three people
- 16:30who refused to do it? Did everyone else worship the
- 16:33image? Were there any other Jews that
- 16:36didn't worship the image? Or was it just these three
- 16:39people? We know Daniel didn't.
- 16:41And I don't know how Daniel was not involved with this, but
- 16:46there were three. It was the other three,
- 16:48Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who were thrown into this fire.
- 16:53So what did they do with Daniel while this was happening?
- 16:56It's, you know, I wonder. And so the King Nebuchadnezzar
- 17:00knows there's three that they put into the fire.
- 17:04They replied, so he says, weren't there three men that we
- 17:08tied up and threw into the fire? They replied, certainly, Your
- 17:10majesty, he said. Look, I see four men walking
- 17:16around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks
- 17:25like a son of the gods. Now, isn't that interesting?
- 17:30Like he doesn't, he doesn't know God.
- 17:33You know, Daniel was giving him the revelation of the dream he
- 17:37had, and he had a dream from God, but he doesn't really know
- 17:41who God is. He, he is seeing the power of
- 17:45God. He saw the power of God through
- 17:48Daniel because Daniel could interpret his dream, and he's
- 17:52now a second time. He's seeing another powerful
- 17:55thing from God about these three men who are walking around.
- 18:01And then there's a fourth man. And I just think it's very
- 18:04interesting that it says it looks like a son of the gods.
- 18:10And what I immediately think is like, because he doesn't know
- 18:14God, but why would he say the son of a God?
- 18:17And then Jesus is the Son of God.
- 18:21Was this Jesus walking around and he came and rescued these
- 18:27three. We can't confirm it, all we can
- 18:30say. So that is my speculation that
- 18:33this is, you know, because of the description like a son of
- 18:37the gods. So whatever he saw, it was
- 18:41something significant. He was something significant,
- 18:44the 4th man. And could this be Jesus?
- 18:49Something to ponder, Nebuchadnezzar Then I guess it
- 18:54would could be Jesus or an Angel.
- 18:56But just because he described it like a son of the gods, I lean
- 19:00towards Jesus. But I will never know unless you
- 19:03know, unless until God tells us so.
- 19:06So Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the
- 19:09blazing furnace and shouted. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
- 19:13service of servants of the Most High God, come out, come here.
- 19:19So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire,
- 19:24and the say traps perfects. Governors and royal advisors
- 19:29crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not
- 19:33harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed.
- 19:39Their robes were not scorched and there was no smell of fire
- 19:44on them. Could you imagine that?
- 19:46Like, you can't even sit around a campfire and your clothes
- 19:50smell like fire. So these guys were inside the
- 19:53furnace and it didn't even smell like fire when they came out and
- 19:58there was nothing on them burned.
- 20:00Don't you think that? I mean, there's two things here.
- 20:03First of all, the faith of those three young men that they
- 20:08exhibited here to being thrown in.
- 20:11And then secondly, Can you imagine how elated they would be
- 20:15to say like, Oh my goodness, look at what, what has God done
- 20:18Now, you know? So verse 28 then Nebuchadnezzar
- 20:23said, praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
- 20:27who has sent his Angel now it's called an Angel and rescued his
- 20:32servants. They trusted in him and defied
- 20:37the King's command and were willing to give up their lives
- 20:42rather than serve or worship any God except their own God.
- 20:47Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language
- 20:51who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and
- 20:56Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into
- 21:01piles of rubble. For no other God can save them,
- 21:08can save in this way. So that, you know, again, a God
- 21:14who save saves them. It you know, it's usually it's
- 21:18only God who saves. God always says, you know, by my
- 21:23right hand I will save. And Jesus is seated at the right
- 21:25hand of the Father. So that's another reason why I
- 21:28think maybe this was Jesus. And also the other thing is that
- 21:33Nebuchadnezzar's eyes are being opened to God.
- 21:36So he's starting to God is starting to be revealed in front
- 21:41of Nebuchadnezzar. So at this, you know, when this
- 21:44happens, it's just like us, when God begins to be revealed to us,
- 21:50what do we do with it? How do we respond to God?
- 21:53That's the situation that Nebuchadnezzar is going to get
- 21:56himself into. He's going to see these things
- 21:58that God keeps doing. But then he's got a point, a
- 22:02decision, what he wants to do about this.
- 22:05Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the
- 22:10province of Babylon. So this also shows God's
- 22:13faithfulness, God's protection of his people, people who were
- 22:18willing to die, these young men who were willing to die rather
- 22:24than worship anything other than God.
- 22:28What kind of faith is that? Do we have that kind of faith?
- 22:34If we are the generation that is here, when Jesus returns, it's
- 22:42going to demand faith like that out of us.
- 22:48So I think we need to really get our minds prepared because it
- 22:53all starts with your mind, your thoughts 1st and and we get
- 22:57prepared by reading the Bible and by having the Holy Spirit
- 23:02with us. The Holy Spirit gives us peace
- 23:06and the Holy Spirit gives us self-control.
- 23:09The Holy Spirit gives us power. The Spirit of God is the Holy
- 23:13Spirit that I'm talking about. And so I think with the things
- 23:21going on in the world, it makes sense right now to seriously
- 23:27focus on what the Bible says and knowing God.
- 23:32Don't be clueless about who God is and the power of the Holy
- 23:36Spirit and the resources you as a believer have, because it is
- 23:42incredible what God has given us to endure.
- 23:46And I, there's so much that I still want to talk about, but
- 23:49that that pretty much covers the chapter 3 of the book of Daniel,
- 23:58But there's a lot more than I want to talk about.
- 24:01So I will go through as I'm reading this, like how I came up
- 24:05with questions and, and a lot more detail and resources.
- 24:10So you can check this out as well.
- 24:12Now I think there's, there's debate about this in with within
- 24:18scholars, people who study the Bible about the Holy Spirit's
- 24:22presence and what always comes to mind.
- 24:25And I, I just think people should question this and look
- 24:29into it yourself in the Bible and see what you think.
- 24:33But the in first Samuel, this is the Old Testament, first Samuel
- 24:3716 verse 14. It says now the spirit of the
- 24:42Lord had departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord
- 24:48tormented him. This is really significant
- 24:52because God anointed Saul as the first king of Israel.
- 24:59And with the anointing, you know, the, the Holy Spirit.
- 25:05I, I needed to, I should have looked at that a little bit
- 25:08earlier, but at some point God's Spirit had to be with, with Saul
- 25:12in order to depart from Saul. And the reason that the Spirit
- 25:20departed from Saul was because he grieved the Holy Spirit.
- 25:25He would not be obedient to God. God, he would be told to do
- 25:29certain things and he would do them halfway, but he would think
- 25:31his way is better and I'll just do this much, but I'm not going
- 25:34to do all that. And he kind of set his own
- 25:37parameters. He would not humble himself in
- 25:40front of God and God Eventually he, he was like, I'm taking away
- 25:44your Kingdom from you. And that's why he chose David to
- 25:49replace Saul. Saul was the first king, David
- 25:54was the second king and God chose David to be the king that
- 25:58replaced Saul because of Saul's disobedience.
- 26:02Samuel, who is a person who heard from God, he also warned
- 26:07Saul many times about like question him, like, why are you
- 26:12not obeying this? Why are you doing, you know,
- 26:14basically what you want to do and you're not listening to what
- 26:16I say, you're not following directions.
- 26:19And that's what Saul was like. And so when I read that, I have
- 26:25I, I struggle with that because there are a lot of people who
- 26:29say the Holy Spirit, you know, will be with you forever.
- 26:33And I do agree with that, as long as you don't disregard God,
- 26:40as long as you choose to remain obedient to God.
- 26:44I just, and maybe I'm wrong about that.
- 26:48I know people will quote certain verses in Scripture and say,
- 26:50well, it'll be with this eternally, but God always gives
- 26:54us free will. So we could choose not to be
- 26:58obedient to God. We could choose to do what we
- 27:00want, and I'm not talking about that occasional mess up that we
- 27:04have, but I'm talking about willfully doing things that God
- 27:08says don't do. And we already know it.
- 27:10We already know we're not supposed to do it, but we're
- 27:12just like, oh, God gives us grace, He'll forgive me, you
- 27:17know, like that kind of thing. And then go ahead and keep doing
- 27:21something that is clearly known as something wrong.
- 27:24And God looks at our heart. God looks at our intentions.
- 27:27If we mess up occasionally and we ask for forgiveness, He is
- 27:33kind, merciful and so forth. But that usually involves
- 27:38repentance where we basically say to God, I don't want to do
- 27:42this again, help me, give me more strength, give me the Holy
- 27:45Spirit to help me overcome this problem that I have in my life.
- 27:52And God is willing. It says our flesh is weak, but
- 27:56the Spirit is drawn strong. And it says, and my grace is
- 28:01sufficient, My power is sufficient.
- 28:05So God's power, I mean, to deny the power of God that he can
- 28:10give us in times of need is not fully relying on God.
- 28:15It's not having, it's not having faith.
- 28:18And faith is what saves us. Faith is what initiates
- 28:22everything. So there's another one where,
- 28:28you know, there's, there's spirits who can, you know, all
- 28:31kinds of spirits who can be within a person.
- 28:37I mean, they, they can, there's an account in the book of Acts
- 28:42where there was this woman who was just, you know, annoyingly
- 28:46following the disciples and she kept yelling out like something
- 28:50about who they were. And it was annoying.
- 28:53Paul and so this is in Acts chapter 16 verse 18.
- 29:00She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed
- 29:04that he turned around and said to the Spirit, in the name of
- 29:10Jesus Christ, I command you to come out of her.
- 29:15At that moment the Spirit left her.
- 29:19This is showing the power in the name of Jesus Christ, and we
- 29:25need to remember that because if we are in Christ and we have the
- 29:31Holy Spirit, we have an, I guess, an unlimited resource,
- 29:38the resources of God the most powerful, the Creator who Jesus
- 29:44has given to us. So remember that as a a true
- 29:50Christian believer filled with the Holy Spirit, the power that
- 29:54Jesus has told his disciples, his followers, the people who
- 29:58follow his teaching, who obey him.
- 30:02This is the power you have. So when you're disobedient to
- 30:05God, this is what you're giving up, that power that God made
- 30:09available to you. And and there there are spirits
- 30:14that can inhabit a person, a person who is not filled with
- 30:20the Holy Spirit. That's why being in the word in
- 30:23prayer, that's why communicating with God daily often is so
- 30:28important, because we don't want to leave ourselves void of God's
- 30:33spirit. We want to stay connected to the
- 30:35spirit. And with with that there is
- 30:38great power. People even tried to buy it in
- 30:41the Bible and they got in trouble for it too.
- 30:43But it OK, so faith is the beginning of it all.
- 30:49And faith brings about so many different things.
- 30:53And I, I want to, this is kind of long because there's 33
- 30:56verses ironically, and Jesus was what about 33 when he, you know,
- 31:00his ministry on earth? So I do want to read these
- 31:03verses and I'll try to go through them kind of quickly.
- 31:06And what you can, I guess if you go to blueletterbible.org, you
- 31:14can find this and search through faith.
- 31:17So it's the word through faith. Do a word search for that.
- 31:22And I'm reading from the NIV. I'm not going to give every
- 31:25single reference because that'll make this podcast a lot longer.
- 31:30So if you want to find these quotes, that's how you can find
- 31:33them. Search through faith on
- 31:36blueletterbible.org website. So we'll start here.
- 31:44The righteousness is this righteousness is given through
- 31:48faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
- 31:54There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.
- 31:59So this shows us that it starts with faith and we receive
- 32:04righteousness through that. It starts with faith in Jesus
- 32:08Christ in I guess you know, believing what he's shared when
- 32:15he had this time, his time on earth, when he had his ministry
- 32:17on earth and it what is documented in the Bible.
- 32:21Then another verse. Therefore, since we have been
- 32:24justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
- 32:31Jesus Christ. So again, this is through faith.
- 32:36Now we're at peace with God. We're not an enemy of God
- 32:38anymore, and it's through Jesus that we get to that point.
- 32:44Another verse says, But Scripture has locked up
- 32:46everything under the control of sin so that what was promised
- 32:51being being given through faith in Jesus Christ might be given
- 32:57to those who believe. So Scripture has locked up
- 33:03everything under the control of sin.
- 33:05So if we are still in slavery, in bondage to sin, if that
- 33:12hasn't been broken, it gets broken through Jesus, through
- 33:17our faith in Jesus. And Jesus gives us the power,
- 33:25that power through our faith. I better read more of that
- 33:32verse. So or that how it continues on
- 33:38the prior verse says is the law therefore opposed to the
- 33:42promises of God? Absolutely not.
- 33:44For if a law had been given that could impart life, then
- 33:49righteousness would certainly have come by law.
- 33:52But we don't get righteousness by the law.
- 33:57It's we, we just, we break it if we don't have the Holy Spirit.
- 34:00That's essentially, I believe what this is saying is that, you
- 34:04know, through Jesus, before Jesus died on the cross, we were
- 34:13subjects of wrath. We would receive God's wrath
- 34:16because we broke all, his all or many of his commandments.
- 34:21And if there was only the law, we would be found guilty because
- 34:26we broke it and there was nothing we could do to make that
- 34:32right with God. And that's what Jesus did on the
- 34:35cross. He made it right with God.
- 34:37He was our atonement to forgive us of the sins so that it's
- 34:41possible for us to be in the Kingdom of God.
- 34:45And another verse says, So in Christ Jesus you are all
- 34:51children of God through faith. So our faith initiates.
- 34:55Another verse says, for it is by grace you have been saved
- 35:00through faith. So faith first, then we have
- 35:03grace and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of
- 35:09God. That's why we can't do anything
- 35:11to earn our salvation. It is through faith, through US
- 35:16believing we receive grace and it's a gift of God.
- 35:22Another verse in him and through faith in Him we may approach God
- 35:26with freedom and confidence. So in Christ, if we have faith,
- 35:33we can talk to God with confidence and freedom because
- 35:40Jesus made that possible. Another verse so that Christ may
- 35:44dwell in your hearts through faith.
- 35:47And I pray that you being rooted and established in love.
- 35:52Another verse says, and be found in him not having a
- 35:57righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that
- 36:02which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness that
- 36:07comes from God on the basis of faith.
- 36:10So we see that faith starts all of this.
- 36:14So if we have faith and we we get faith from reading the word
- 36:19of God, from exploring it more, from meditating on it, you know,
- 36:25being in the word every day, your faith will grow.
- 36:29Another verse says and how from infancy you have known the Holy
- 36:33Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation
- 36:38through faith in Christ Jesus. Like how many times does the
- 36:42Bible tell us that through faith in Christ Jesus that's connected
- 36:47with salvation? So any religion that teaches
- 36:52another way to salvation and circumvents Christ Jesus the
- 36:56Messiah Jesus is not true. Another verse says we do not
- 37:05want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith
- 37:11and patience inherit what has been promised.
- 37:15So faith is going to be required and patience is going to be
- 37:19required for the inheritance that has been promised.
- 37:24Another verse says who through faith conquered kingdoms,
- 37:28administered justice, and gained what was promised?
- 37:31Who shut the mouths of lions? Now we'll read about Daniel
- 37:35later on who shut the mouths of lions, but it's through faith.
- 37:41Look at what happened to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
- 37:43through faith. Another verse says who through
- 37:47faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the
- 37:53salvation that is already to be revealed in the last time.
- 37:59So this is a, this is something comforting despite what's going
- 38:04on in the world, that through our faith we are shielded by
- 38:08God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to
- 38:13be revealed in the last time. And then there there's another
- 38:20verse that says by faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you
- 38:24see and know was made strong. It is Jesus's name and the faith
- 38:30that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you
- 38:35can see. So healings come through faith
- 38:39and Jesus's name. Another verse says strengthening
- 38:44the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the
- 38:47faith. We must go through many
- 38:50hardships to enter the Kingdom of God, they said.
- 38:53Now this is something that unfortunately is true and you
- 38:57will see many people of faith who did die for their faith, but
- 39:05not everyone. Well, all of us except for the
- 39:08ones who are alive and remain, when Jesus returns, we'll have
- 39:11to experience a death of some kind.
- 39:14And Jesus did say that in this world you will have troubles.
- 39:18But trust in me for I have overcome all of this.
- 39:23So it's again, we have to have that faith there.
- 39:28We, we, it says in the Bible we must go through many hardships
- 39:34to enter the Kingdom of God. It's because the world sets out
- 39:39to destroy the world is against Jesus.
- 39:44Obviously the world decided, you know, the people who were in
- 39:48power decided to kill Jesus, and that was actually God's will
- 39:53because the killing of Jesus actually gave us atonement for
- 39:56our sins. They didn't know they were doing
- 39:58that, but that's what happened. And so even though it was awful
- 40:04and Jesus had to suffer terrible, terrible things, he
- 40:08did it out of love for us so that we could be with him in
- 40:13God's Kingdom. Another verse that talks about
- 40:17faith. On arriving there, they gathered
- 40:19the church together and reported all that God had done through
- 40:22them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
- 40:27The Gentiles were anyone other than Jewish people.
- 40:32So God is, you know, he works through, I mean, his Kingdom is
- 40:37open to all people, all people. It's a matter of faith.
- 40:43If we believe in him and if we repent and receive the Holy
- 40:47Spirit, we will be in God's Kingdom.
- 40:49That's how simple it is. So another verse says through
- 40:53him we received grace and apostleship to call all the
- 40:57Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith, faith for his
- 41:03name's sake. This is about Jesus.
- 41:05So through Jesus we receive grace and apostleship to call
- 41:11all the Gentiles to obedience. So that's what they this is
- 41:14written in the book of Romans. So this was Paul writing this.
- 41:19So he's calling all the non Jewish people to the obedience
- 41:23that comes from faith for his name's sake.
- 41:27So it starts with faith. We receive grace, grace.
- 41:33I, I believe I don't, I haven't seen it taught this way.
- 41:36But if you substitute Holy Spirit for the word grace, it
- 41:41really seems like, I mean, that's the Spirit of God and
- 41:45it's the spirit who rose, who you know, made it possible for
- 41:48Jesus to rise from the dead. It was through God's Spirit that
- 41:52that happened. There is power through God's
- 41:54Spirit for these healings, for these miracles in Jesus name,
- 41:59and there are casting out of demons humans in the name of
- 42:03Jesus by the power of God. None of this, none of the
- 42:07miracles that anyone did were anything other than the power of
- 42:11God being expressed through an obedient person.
- 42:18So if you want to operate in the power of God, you must be
- 42:22obedient. God's not going to give that
- 42:25power to someone who is disobedient to him.
- 42:28But the Holy Spirit it, you know, no one has this power.
- 42:32It's only God who chooses who he's going to give it to.
- 42:37And he knows the heart of a person.
- 42:39So he's not going to give it to a person who doesn't have the
- 42:42right heart to accept it to be in not in control, but to use
- 42:46that power. So another verse says, first I
- 42:50thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because
- 42:54your faith is being reported all over the world.
- 42:58That's not that's OK. The next verse, God presented
- 43:02Christ as a sacrifice of atonement.
- 43:05We were talking about that. That's the like the forgiveness
- 43:13they, you know, the, the atonement sacrifice.
- 43:18Sacrifices were to make atonement, but the animal
- 43:22sacrifices were only a temporary atonement or forgiveness of
- 43:26sins, a wiping out of sins. But Christ's sacrifice was the
- 43:32wiping out of sin on a person's life who comes to him and
- 43:39receives the Holy Spirit. God says he will, he will
- 43:41remember your sins no more. So it's a complete washing of
- 43:45the slate. I'm going to read this fully
- 43:48though. God presented Christ as a
- 43:50sacrifice of atonement through the shedding of his blood,
- 43:55because it says in Hebrews that without the shedding of blood
- 43:58there is no atonement. So that had to happen to be
- 44:03received. That's how we get it, by faith.
- 44:06He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his
- 44:11forbearance he had left the sins committed before beforehand
- 44:17unpunished. So God was merciful.
- 44:19He was patient. People had sinned before Jesus
- 44:23died on the cross, but he didn't punish them.
- 44:27He waited for Jesus to do this. He could have because it says
- 44:32the wages of sin is death. So that's what we get paid for,
- 44:39our sin that is our just. That's justice.
- 44:43If we sin, we have a punishment and that's death.
- 44:48And of course all of us sin in some way or another, so that is
- 44:54a natural consequence of it. And so God was merciful, and so
- 45:00He left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.
- 45:06Another verse says, since there is only one God who will justify
- 45:10the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same
- 45:15faith. So again there since there is
- 45:18only one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the
- 45:25uncircumcised through that same faith.
- 45:28So both circumcised and uncircumcised will be justified
- 45:34through faith. So the circumcised word
- 45:38primarily the Jewish people, but more are also do that besides
- 45:42Jewish, Jewish and Christians I guess and I'm not sure about
- 45:45other faiths, but everyone and and God's ultimately looking for
- 45:52what it says like our heart to be circumcised, our our desires,
- 45:56our love towards God to serve him only.
- 46:03OK another verse says it was not through the law that Abraham and
- 46:08his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of
- 46:12the world, but through the righteousness that comes by
- 46:16faith. So Abraham was righteous because
- 46:22of his faith. It wasn't by being obedient to
- 46:27the law. So it was again, even at
- 46:30Abraham's time, it was by faith, yet he did in another verse.
- 46:36Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise
- 46:40of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.
- 46:45I'm not sure who this is referring to.
- 46:47Oh, I think it was Abraham. Yeah, that's that's who it was
- 46:50referring to. Another verse says through whom
- 46:56we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now
- 47:02stand and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
- 47:08Here's the verse that we should all remember and I'll tell you
- 47:11where this is located. Romans chapter 10, verse 17.
- 47:15Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message and the
- 47:19message is heard through the word about Christ.
- 47:24So that if you want to grow your faith, read scripture because
- 47:29it's heard through the word about Christ.
- 47:32That's where faith comes from hearing the message, the message
- 47:36of the Kingdom and what Jesus has done for us.
- 47:39So if you say, well, I don't really have that strong a faith,
- 47:42well start reading the Bible every day and praying to God
- 47:46that he reveals things that are important for you to know.
- 47:50Next verse but now revealed and made known, but now revealed and
- 47:55made known through prophetic writings by the command of the
- 47:59eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the
- 48:03obedience that comes from faith. Again, that's like I, Jude,
- 48:08Jesus's brother actually said something like I think it was
- 48:11Jude or James, I can't remember which now one of the brothers,
- 48:16but said that I will show you my faith by my actions.
- 48:21So faith produces the obedience. We have to start with faith and
- 48:28we become more obedient when we have the Holy Spirit on our own.
- 48:32It says like God can do the impossible.
- 48:35It's God makes the impossible possible and that's through the
- 48:40Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit.
- 48:43In fact, I always say this in my podcast, but it's so important
- 48:46to know in John chapter 3, Jesus said no one can enter the
- 48:51Kingdom of God unless they are born again, born of the Spirit.
- 48:57And Jesus gives he, he requests the Spirit from the Father and
- 49:02gives it to us. And it's so important.
- 49:07So it's all through Jesus. And that's why Jesus said, well,
- 49:11I'm thinking that's why, because it makes sense to me.
- 49:13That's why Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life.
- 49:17No one comes to the Father except through me.
- 49:20So Jesus is the only way. He is the truth.
- 49:24And he gives us the life. And the only way we get life is
- 49:29by the Holy Spirit. So he's the gatekeeper, and if
- 49:32we try to go around the gatekeeper, it's not going to be
- 49:35successful for us. OK, next verse.
- 49:39Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith
- 49:43and announce the gospel in advance to Abraham.
- 49:48All nations will be blessed through you.
- 49:52That's from the book of Genesis. That's an interesting one to
- 49:56read. Again, Scripture foresaw that
- 49:59God would justify the Gentiles, not just the Israel people of
- 50:06Israel by faith and announce the gospel in advance to Abraham.
- 50:11All nations will be blessed through you.
- 50:15You know it's the descendants of Abraham.
- 50:19He redeemed us in order that this, that the blessing given to
- 50:25Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus so
- 50:31that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
- 50:35I was just talking about that the Holy Spirit that comes
- 50:39through Jesus. And it starts with faith.
- 50:43We have to know about Jesus. We have to believe it.
- 50:47And when we believe it, then we receive.
- 50:50And if you haven't received, ask Jesus.
- 50:53You know, I want the Holy Spirit.
- 50:55What do I need to do? What does my faith need to be
- 50:58strengthened? Because Jesus will give the Holy
- 51:02Spirit to us if we ask if we are sincere about ourselves.
- 51:09And one of the things that I want to mention too about my I
- 51:12was baptized as an infant and then when I got older in 2021, I
- 51:18was baptized by full immersion as an adult.
- 51:21And I wasn't sure if I needed to do that because I was already
- 51:25baptized once. And baptism is not a requirement
- 51:32to be in the Kingdom because Jesus told one of the two men on
- 51:38the cross next to him. He said, you know, the guy
- 51:42basically says, Remember Me and he said surely you will be in
- 51:45paradise with me. That guy on the cross didn't
- 51:48have time to get baptized. So baptism isn't a requirement.
- 51:51But what it is, Jesus did say go and baptize in the name of the
- 51:57Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- 51:59That's what he told his disciples, his followers to do.
- 52:02So getting baptized is an act of obedience, and I believe that
- 52:10there's a couple things I believe.
- 52:12I believe that the Holy Spirit gives us more power as we are
- 52:17more obedient and the gifts are determined by the Holy Spirit
- 52:21what he gives us. So I do think that, but I also
- 52:25want to say that I think I made a mistake in waiting to get
- 52:29baptized. Maybe it was not a mistake.
- 52:32I did wait to get baptized because I wanted to not be a
- 52:38hypocrite. So when I did it, I was like, I,
- 52:41I'm doing this like, I really mean it.
- 52:43I really want to be obedient to God.
- 52:46So it's, it's, it's not that the day of my baptism, I was like,
- 52:51I'm doing everything right. I've, you know, arrived not by
- 52:55any means, but I think I could have done it a lot longer, a lot
- 52:58earlier than when I did it. But I was just kind of, you
- 53:03know, waiting till I really meant that commitment of being
- 53:07obedient. And actually, I guess that's
- 53:10really what baptism is. It's so maybe I wasn't ready
- 53:14prior to that, as I'm thinking out loud right now, but I
- 53:19probably did need to wait until I did it, which was 2021.
- 53:23It wasn't that long ago. And but it took me that long to
- 53:27be willing to be obedient. Now was IA sinless person at
- 53:32that point? No, but did I have the intention
- 53:35of turning my life around and focusing on God and being
- 53:41obedient? Yes, that I that was my
- 53:43intention. And then the Holy Spirit started
- 53:48becoming known without like I didn't, I didn't know a lot of
- 53:52this stuff when it started happening, but I think that act
- 53:55of obedience really did something.
- 53:59And through my baptism, that's when I started having a lot of
- 54:03spiritual experiences going back to Scripture.
- 54:06Now we're reading about faith again.
- 54:08For through the Spirit, we eagerly await by faith the
- 54:13righteousness for which we hope. So the Spirit gradually changes
- 54:17us into righteous people or more righteous people.
- 54:21We're not going to be perfect, but more righteous.
- 54:24Another verse says for in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor
- 54:28uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is
- 54:34faith expressing itself through love.
- 54:38So faith and love, like love is the greatest and that's probably
- 54:42because God is love. And so that's like the most
- 54:45important because it says like if we do all these things, but
- 54:49we don't have love, we don't express love, that those are
- 54:54meaningless things that we do. So the only thing that counts is
- 54:59faith expressing itself again through love.
- 55:04So if we have the faith, we can express it.
- 55:06We can show our faith through love.
- 55:10Another verse having been buried with him in baptism in which you
- 55:15were also raised with him through your faith in the
- 55:18working of God who raised him from the dead.
- 55:23So when our baptism happens, we are buried.
- 55:27That's symbolic of being buried. When we do a full immersion
- 55:30baptism, we are go into the water with him in baptism and
- 55:36then when we come out, this is like a new creation that's
- 55:39representative of it. That's what it's going to start
- 55:41happening through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 55:44And we were raised up through our faith.
- 55:47So we believe that God will do this in US and just like God who
- 55:53raised him from the dead, who raised Jesus the Son of God from
- 55:59the dead by the Spirit, the shared spirit that they have the
- 56:02Spirit of God. Next verse but women will be
- 56:07saved through childbearing if they continue in faith, love and
- 56:12holiness with propriety. That question or that I have a
- 56:17question about that. So I'm I can't talk about that.
- 56:20I don't fully understand that verse.
- 56:24It says, but she will be saved. I need I would really need to
- 56:28read that more that's found in first Timothy 215.
- 56:31Don't have time to go into that because this will be a long
- 56:33podcast already. OK.
- 56:36Next verse by faith. The people passed through the
- 56:39Red Sea as on dry land, but when the Egyptian tried to do so,
- 56:43they were drowned. So the Israelites went through a
- 56:47sea and it was because of their faith of God leading them out of
- 56:52slavery. Another verse.
- 56:54Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and
- 57:00glorified him so and so your faith and hope are in God.
- 57:06So through Jesus you believe in God who raised Jesus from the
- 57:12dead and glorified Jesus, and so your faith and hope are in God
- 57:21something important. And then the last verse, Simon
- 57:24Peter, a servant and apostle of Christ of Jesus Christ to those
- 57:29who through faith, the righteousness of our God and
- 57:33Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious, as
- 57:38precious as ours. So you know, faith is precious.
- 57:45It's very important and we get it from reading the Bible.
- 57:51So there's another thing that I guess in in my thinking, going
- 57:58back to the book of Daniel, chapter 3 verses.
- 58:04Let's see verse 28. Here's a portion of it.
- 58:08I'll read it just as a reflection before I talk about
- 58:11these next two verses. It says in verse 28, they
- 58:15trusted in him talking about God and defied the King's command
- 58:21and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or
- 58:25worship any God except their own God.
- 58:29So those young men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were
- 58:33willing to give up their own lives because they trusted God.
- 58:40So this is something that is actually going to apply to us in
- 58:45the future. And I want to read that because
- 58:49I think it's important for us to know that like, our faith is so
- 58:53important. So if we don't have strong
- 58:55faith, we need to especially read the the Bible.
- 59:02We need to find a Bible teaching church to attend.
- 59:08It's helpful to get into a Bible study group so you can talk
- 59:11about what you're reading and learn more about what's in the
- 59:16Bible and have discussions with people and learn from other
- 59:19people and, and prayer, you know, prayer is most important
- 59:25'cause that's our direct communication with God.
- 59:27But pray as often as possible. So here's what it says though.
- 59:33If I, I could get concerned about people and this church
- 59:37word of backsliding, it's people who claim to be Christians, but
- 59:41they live a sinful life and people call that, oh, they're
- 59:45backslidden. They're Christians, but they've,
- 59:47you know, now they're doing sinful things.
- 59:50There's there's a debate on whether they are truly saved to
- 59:54begin with or and backslidden, which, you know, one, I mean,
- 1:00:00people have differing opinions on that.
- 1:00:02They think, well, they were never truly saved to begin with.
- 1:00:07And then there's another camp that said that thinks that, oh,
- 1:00:11that can happen to backslidden. You know Christians can
- 1:00:14backslide and they. You know, God is always there
- 1:00:19hanging on to him. And you know, once you're a
- 1:00:21Christian, you're always a Christian.
- 1:00:22Well, I don't believe that. I don't think Scripture says
- 1:00:26that. And these couple of verses, you
- 1:00:30know, it's talking about faith and how important it is.
- 1:00:33So in Hebrews chapter 10 verse 39, it says but we do not belong
- 1:00:42to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have
- 1:00:49faith and are saved. So faith is important if we are
- 1:00:55going to be like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and it's
- 1:00:58and someone in power says you need to worship me or you need
- 1:01:04to get this mark of the beast or you can't operate in society.
- 1:01:09And we say, oh gosh, I'm not going to be able to eat.
- 1:01:12I'm not going to be able to have a house to live in.
- 1:01:14I'm not going to, I guess. I guess I need to do this to
- 1:01:16survive. That's shrinking back.
- 1:01:19And so Hebrews 1039 says that they are destroyed, but to those
- 1:01:25who have faith are saved. So faith is so important.
- 1:01:31Like we need to do everything possible to strengthen our faith
- 1:01:35and our reliance and our trust in God.
- 1:01:39In Revelation 12 verse 11 it says they triumphed over him.
- 1:01:47This is referring to the lawless man by the blood of the Lamb.
- 1:01:52That's referring to Jesus death on the cross, which give gave
- 1:01:57atonement. And by the word of their
- 1:01:59testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink
- 1:02:06from death. So just like Shadrach, Meshach,
- 1:02:10and Abednego, these are Christians and they have a
- 1:02:16testimony, and they didn't love their earthly life so much as to
- 1:02:23try to avoid death by going against the belief.
- 1:02:29And we have to remember that our body is more or less a container
- 1:02:34for our soul. We are made-up of spirit, soul,
- 1:02:40and body. It tells us that in Scripture.
- 1:02:43So our soul is the eternal thing that makes us up.
- 1:02:50That's our personality and our intangible things, and it
- 1:02:55resides inside of our body. Our body is the physical form,
- 1:03:01the container of the vessel. Our body will not be with us
- 1:03:06forever. As we get older, it gets older
- 1:03:10and eventually it returns to ashes.
- 1:03:13It doesn't. It's not immortal.
- 1:03:15It doesn't last forever. And as much as the world tries
- 1:03:19to focus on maintaining youth, it's going to go away.
- 1:03:24We can't avoid that. And but what happens is when
- 1:03:30Jesus returns, we will receive those who are believers will
- 1:03:34receive new bodies, immortal bodies that will, if we are
- 1:03:42resurrected when Jesus returns, we don't have to worry about the
- 1:03:46second death that's comes at the end of the thousand years and we
- 1:03:51receive this new body. So don't be so worried about our
- 1:03:56existing body. Take care of yourself.
- 1:03:59But it's not our forever body. We're going to have another body
- 1:04:03that Jesus that will be given to us at that moment.
- 1:04:06We will be changed. So I was another.
- 1:04:13This is like my whole thought process as I'm going through.
- 1:04:15I'm going to kind of jump to another subject, but it's
- 1:04:17related to the book of Daniel. I was wondering, you know, when
- 1:04:20I'm reading this and the significance of the book of
- 1:04:24Daniel chapter 3 and about the fourth person like the son of
- 1:04:28the gods and you know, he, that's what he looked like this
- 1:04:31person. I was wondering, do the Jewish
- 1:04:35people, do the rabbis acknowledge the book of Daniel?
- 1:04:37So I looked that up and I'll read what it says.
- 1:04:40Yes, Jewish rabbis acknowledge the book of Daniel as part of
- 1:04:44the Holy Tanakh or the Hebrew Bible, specifically in the
- 1:04:47writings Katyuvum, valuing Daniel as a wise sage and pious
- 1:04:53figure, but generally do not consider him a prophet or a
- 1:04:57niveum in the same vein as Isaiah or Jeremiah due to the
- 1:05:03Jewish definition of prophecy requiring direct revelation,
- 1:05:07which Daniel lacked. That's what it says, but I think
- 1:05:10he had direct revelation. Think about it.
- 1:05:14I mean, maybe did. Was it just that had to be an
- 1:05:17audible voice? Because Daniel did get direct
- 1:05:21revelation when he and his friends prayed to interpret the
- 1:05:25King's dream. God revealed that, so I don't
- 1:05:30know. I don't understand that.
- 1:05:31Anyway, it says through the books apocalyptic visions are
- 1:05:35respected though. The books apocalyptic visions
- 1:05:38are respected as inspired wisdom notes.
- 1:05:41Chabad are kabad. I don't know how to say it.
- 1:05:44Org and the Sequora post anyway. So that's that's one aspect Then
- 1:05:52I also wondered, has the Book of Daniel been discovered in Qumran
- 1:05:56like the Dead Sea Scrolls? And the answer is yes.
- 1:06:00The Book of Daniel has been discovered in the Qumran Dead
- 1:06:04Sea Scrolls, with at least 8 manuscript copies found in the
- 1:06:08caves, confirming its presence and importance to the Qumran
- 1:06:13community and providing some of the oldest biblical text ever
- 1:06:18found, dating to the late 2nd century BCE to the 1st century
- 1:06:24CE. These scrolls include fragments
- 1:06:27of different parts of Daniel and related to Daniel text, offering
- 1:06:32key evidence for the book's composition history and
- 1:06:37confirming its antiquity, challenging earlier scholarly
- 1:06:42divide doubts. There were multiple copies. 8
- 1:06:47separate manuscripts of Daniel were found, showing it was
- 1:06:50popular in a significant book in the Qumran sect dating.
- 1:06:54The oldest fragments date to the late 2nd century, suggesting the
- 1:06:59book was known and copied very soon after its likely
- 1:07:03composition. Textual evidence.
- 1:07:06The scrolls include portions of Daniel's visions and prayers,
- 1:07:10with some manuscripts like 4 Q Dan A containing large sections
- 1:07:16of the book. Broader quote.
- 1:07:18Daniel literature Beyond the biblical text.
- 1:07:21Other Qumran scrolls feature stories and prayers related to
- 1:07:25Daniel, showing a rich literary tradition around his figure,
- 1:07:29such as the Prayer of the Nabonidus and pseudo Daniel
- 1:07:34fragments. The discovery of Daniel
- 1:07:37manuscripts among the Dead Sea Scrolls provides crucial
- 1:07:40evidence for the early existence and transmission of the biblical
- 1:07:45book, helping scholars understands its development and
- 1:07:49influence on Jewish and Christian eschatology.
- 1:07:52So if this book was preserved and and these things, you know,
- 1:08:00these things that he foretold, they are there are prophecies in
- 1:08:04here and these things are happening.
- 1:08:06We'll get to that more. But this is just you know, I
- 1:08:09like to find and show the evidence when it is there.
- 1:08:13I was curious like how did Daniel from the Bible die?
- 1:08:17The Bible doesn't explicitly state how Daniel died, but it
- 1:08:20records his miraculous survival from the lion's den in Daniel
- 1:08:24chapter 6 and suggest he lived to a very old age, dying a
- 1:08:28natural death in Babylon, likely in his 80s or 90s before the
- 1:08:33return of the Jews to Jerusalem with God promising him a final
- 1:08:39rest. In essence, Daniel didn't die
- 1:08:45from his famous trials, he was saved by God's intervention and
- 1:08:50lived out his Dale days in exile, A testament to his faith.
- 1:08:55There you go again, faith. Faith does a lot of things.
- 1:09:00Look at he was protected. Look at his friends were
- 1:09:02protected. Faith is but then at the same
- 1:09:05time, the Bible does say that, you know, some will be killed.
- 1:09:08I mean, there there was Stephen who was stoned to death in the
- 1:09:11Bible and he wouldn't, you know, denounce his faith and they
- 1:09:14stoned him and killed them. And he looked up to the sky when
- 1:09:18it was happening and he saw heaven opened and he saw Jesus.
- 1:09:23And a lot of people who talk about near death experiences,
- 1:09:26they say they don't feel the pain.
- 1:09:27They see their body from 3rd, you know, third party position
- 1:09:31up high. Usually they're looking down on
- 1:09:33their body and they see themselves, but they don't feel
- 1:09:36that. So we shouldn't necessarily fear
- 1:09:39death the way that we do about when it when it actually
- 1:09:42happens. Now, when I mentioned a few
- 1:09:48things about Islam, I, there's just so much that is that
- 1:09:55concerns me about what's going on because you can look on
- 1:10:00social media and you can look like there's there's people of
- 1:10:04that faith in our governments in different part in different
- 1:10:10placements in government throughout the United States.
- 1:10:13Currently we're seeing what's happening in other countries
- 1:10:16where they are, you know, blasting the call to prayer,
- 1:10:21which does remind me of what King Nebuchadnezzar did.
- 1:10:27And like, we do have people that are in our in governmental
- 1:10:32positions now, just like Christians.
- 1:10:36Not everybody who calls themself a Christian is a Christian
- 1:10:41because if they are not obedient, they're not really a
- 1:10:45Christian or they're not, maybe they're a baby Christian.
- 1:10:50If they, you know, a Christian should be a Christ follower.
- 1:10:54If you are not following the teachings of Christ, you
- 1:10:58probably shouldn't call yourself Christian because I think it
- 1:11:03gives people the wrong impression of what a Christian
- 1:11:05is. And the same thing goes for
- 1:11:08people who call themselves Muslims.
- 1:11:11I think there are many people who are peaceful people.
- 1:11:15That's my belief. And, and they probably are the
- 1:11:20same as the ones maybe that was an inherited religion that they
- 1:11:26grew up in and they happen to be living in the United States.
- 1:11:31And maybe they don't practice and but that's just what they
- 1:11:34identify with. And so if that is the case where
- 1:11:39they are non practicing, then I do think they can be peaceful
- 1:11:45people if they are a full practicing Muslim.
- 1:11:51Everybody needs to be aware. It would help you out if you
- 1:11:56actually read some of the Quran because there you know this word
- 1:12:04Islamophobia. That is an irrational fear of
- 1:12:10what Islam is, and that's a word that people like to use today
- 1:12:15that oh, you're an Islamophobe. If you're concerned about it,
- 1:12:19well, anyone who follows the true religion of Islam, it's not
- 1:12:25a lot. Islamophobia because it's a real
- 1:12:31historical history, proven reason to be concerned about
- 1:12:39that religion because of what it specifically says.
- 1:12:43And so anyone who has not read some of it, at least if you are
- 1:12:49a Christian, you need to read the Chapter 9.
- 1:12:55I think it's called Surah SUR AH9.
- 1:12:58You can search it, you can find it in English and read what it
- 1:13:02says. And it will be alarming to you
- 1:13:05because it is not a peaceful religion.
- 1:13:09If somebody is a devout follower of that faith, it's very, very
- 1:13:15concerning because of what it says that people should do who
- 1:13:21follow the faith. So I was, gosh, I don't know
- 1:13:27even know, like there is so much in there.
- 1:13:29I wish I would have highlighted the, the part that I wanted to
- 1:13:35review, but OK, so I was reading that Surah Surah 9 and there
- 1:13:47was, there was something that says something about, you know,
- 1:13:51OK, I wondered like, why are Muslims and Jews?
- 1:13:55Why do the why do Muslims not agree with Judaism?
- 1:13:58Because the Jews say there's one God, the Muslims say there's one
- 1:14:03God, and Christians say there is one God.
- 1:14:06But we have as Christians, we talk about the Trinity, we talk
- 1:14:11about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- 1:14:15Judaism doesn't. They talk about the Father.
- 1:14:19So then if it's only the Father, then what kind of problem do
- 1:14:25Muslims have with Jews? Because if they just both
- 1:14:32worship one God, why are they at war with one another?
- 1:14:40And why does the Quran speak against them?
- 1:14:46So that was my curiosity. I was like, that doesn't make
- 1:14:49sense because and, and we do see that there's this trending now
- 1:14:54towards, there's this trending towards a unified religion and
- 1:15:06it, you know, of Christians, Jews and Muslims because they
- 1:15:15are called like all under the Abrahamic faith because that's
- 1:15:18where all of our faith, our religion starts.
- 1:15:22And you know, and it like we were just saying, you know, it
- 1:15:24comes through faith. Like people who started out
- 1:15:28Muslims or started out as Jews, they will be saved if they
- 1:15:33believe in Jesus. They don't have to do anything.
- 1:15:37They have to believe in Jesus, believe in what is said about
- 1:15:40Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit and then they can be
- 1:15:46saved. And there is no like I know in
- 1:15:49the past history there were horrible people that called
- 1:15:52themselves Christians that killed people who didn't believe
- 1:15:55what they told them to do. God gave us free will.
- 1:15:58Again, people can call themselves Christians, but not
- 1:16:02really truly be Christians. God, He is so far from evil,
- 1:16:08from wickedness, from killing other people.
- 1:16:12Now God is a God of justice and he will provide justice, which
- 1:16:19does involve killing people, but that's God.
- 1:16:22God is the only one who knows someone's heart, who knows
- 1:16:25someone's intent. We as people do not.
- 1:16:28We think we might, but we don't know everything.
- 1:16:30So we are not in a position to do that, but God is.
- 1:16:35And so anyway, I this this whole question and it's something that
- 1:16:41we should really like use our minds to think about these
- 1:16:45things and don't accept something.
- 1:16:47So I just you can go to Google. This is what I searched.
- 1:16:50Why do Muslims not agree with Judaism?
- 1:16:55Because it didn't make sense. And I'm going to read what it
- 1:16:58says here. Muslims and Jews share Abrahamic
- 1:17:02roots but diverge on key theological points, particularly
- 1:17:08regarding final prophets. Muhammad for Muslims, not Jews.
- 1:17:14Scripture interpretation. Quran supersedes the Torah slash
- 1:17:20the Bible and historical narratives leading to
- 1:17:24disagreements on claims to Jerusalem in the land of Israel,
- 1:17:29amplified by modern political conflicts like the Arab Israeli
- 1:17:33conflict, though some Islamic texts emphasize coexistence and
- 1:17:38shared monotheism. Well, I don't believe that very
- 1:17:43last statement because I will read you something.
- 1:17:46It basically says to, well, it's more like for Christians, I
- 1:17:51think to kill them. And it, it does say that in
- 1:17:56Surah 9, it says to kill them. Christians are called the, the
- 1:18:01polytheist because we believe in the Trinity.
- 1:18:04So but it's also about the Jews too.
- 1:18:07And I was like, well, the Jews only say there's one God.
- 1:18:10And and you think about here's where it is in Surah 930, it
- 1:18:15says while both are strictly monotheistic, the Quran
- 1:18:20criticizes Jewish beliefs like Ezra being God's son and claims
- 1:18:28God's hand is tied. And I didn't look that part up
- 1:18:32in Surah 564, but Ezra being God's son, I'm like, I don't,
- 1:18:38I'm not aware that Jews believe that Ezra being God's son.
- 1:18:43And so they, they don't, that is, that is false.
- 1:18:49They don't believe that Ezra is God's son.
- 1:18:54And I looked up, do Jews believe that Ezra is the Son of God?
- 1:18:58Because I thought, no, they can't.
- 1:19:00They don't believe the Messiah is the Son of God.
- 1:19:03So how could they believe Ezra? So you can search this.
- 1:19:07Do Jews believe that Ezra is the son of God?
- 1:19:11No, Jews do not believe Ezra is the son of God.
- 1:19:14This idea comes from a current Quranic verse 930 that some
- 1:19:21Muslim scholars interpret as Jews claiming Ezra was God's
- 1:19:25son, a concept Jewish tradition strongly refutes, seeing it as
- 1:19:31either a misunderstanding of intense reverence for a revered
- 1:19:36prophet, or perhaps a reference to a tiny, long gone sect.
- 1:19:41Mainstream Judaism reserves Ezra as a great scribe and prophet,
- 1:19:46but not divine, viewing the Quranic reference as a metaphor
- 1:19:51for deep respect or a fringe belief.
- 1:19:55And so that is, you know, that is essentially a lie.
- 1:20:03And there's something else that I, I had read before.
- 1:20:06First of all, it says the Quran supersedes the Torah or the
- 1:20:11Bible. And so early in my, you know, I
- 1:20:14started looking at end time study and I was wondering like,
- 1:20:17OK, there's all these beliefs and they're kind of very
- 1:20:19similar. There's some, you know,
- 1:20:21crossover between these different beliefs and which came
- 1:20:25first? How does this, you know, work?
- 1:20:27So. You may know this, but I'm just
- 1:20:30going to say it for somebody who might not know it.
- 1:20:32So the Old Testament of the Christian Bible is essentially a
- 1:20:36lot of the Jewish beliefs. The Jew.
- 1:20:39Jewish people for the most part accepted their Messianic Jews.
- 1:20:42That's all I'm aware of, don't believe in the New Testament
- 1:20:45portion. So the New Testament is about
- 1:20:48Jesus's life and what happened after Jesus.
- 1:20:51And so they reject Jesus as the Son of God.
- 1:20:55But Christians believe what Jesus taught, believe he was the
- 1:20:59Son of God. And so we incorporate the Jewish
- 1:21:05beliefs. That's the Old Testament plus
- 1:21:09Jesus. And because Jesus fulfilled,
- 1:21:12this is something that's really interesting.
- 1:21:14It's not just like, OK, well, we like Jesus more, but Jesus
- 1:21:18actually fulfilled many prophecies.
- 1:21:22And this is something else that would be worthwhile for you to
- 1:21:26look up, because if you can search on Google, how many
- 1:21:31prophecies did Jesus fulfill? While the exact number varies by
- 1:21:36definition, Christian tradition holds that Jesus fulfilled
- 1:21:40hundreds of Old Testament prophecies, with conservative
- 1:21:45estimates starting around 300 and some scholars identifying
- 1:21:50over 500 prophetic verses encompassing his birth, life,
- 1:21:56ministry, suffering, and resurrection, making the
- 1:21:59fulfillment statistically improbable by chance.
- 1:22:05Now, if you've been following my podcast, I've been I started
- 1:22:09with the book of Genesis and we are now on all the books of the
- 1:22:12prophets. And as I see references to
- 1:22:16Jesus, I point them out and there are tons that I've seen in
- 1:22:22reading this and any of my anytime I see it.
- 1:22:26Sometimes I put in the title on my episode of the times where I
- 1:22:30believe Jesus is referred to in Scripture.
- 1:22:33And I think this is if you're trying to, you know, find out
- 1:22:37where Jesus is in the Old Testament, Look at some of the
- 1:22:40titles on the episodes of my podcast, because I tried to do
- 1:22:44that to show people here's the prophecy about Jesus.
- 1:22:49And so the point also is that there were so many things that
- 1:22:58so many times like, well, it's like it says, it's statistically
- 1:23:02improbable by chance. No one could fulfill that many
- 1:23:09prophecies. No one person could.
- 1:23:11So there's evidence in that manner.
- 1:23:13And plus this is this book was had over 40 different authors.
- 1:23:18So to have this repetitively spoken of about this person by
- 1:23:24so many different things. It just you get to the point
- 1:23:27where you're like, yes, this is proving Jesus is the Messiah
- 1:23:33that was prophesied. He did these things.
- 1:23:38If you want another resource, you can go to gotquestions.org
- 1:23:43and in the search bar search how many prophecies did Jesus
- 1:23:48fulfill? I haven't read that article, but
- 1:23:51gotquestions.org is a really good resource and if you're
- 1:23:56curious about it, that's a good place to go look it up.
- 1:24:00So anyway, as I was reading, let's see, I'm looking at the
- 1:24:05different things that I searched.
- 1:24:07I want to talk about how the Quran came about, and I want to
- 1:24:10talk about Muhammad from what I know.
- 1:24:13And again, you can research these things.
- 1:24:15So here's something that also gives you an idea that what the
- 1:24:22Quran is talking about is a lie, potentially.
- 1:24:28This is my belief, potentially given by fallen angels.
- 1:24:34I've heard that the Quran was revealed directly by God to
- 1:24:38Muhammad, and that's what I hear.
- 1:24:40But when you actually read the Quran it says we.
- 1:24:44So if God is not, you know, multiple or, you know, like they
- 1:24:51say polytheistic or if there's only one God, why would it say
- 1:24:54we all the time unless it was fallen angels giving Muhammad
- 1:24:59this information? So that's one question that I
- 1:25:01want you to answer is why does it say we?
- 1:25:05We know that Satan had a group of fallen angels.
- 1:25:10We know that there were watchers from the book, well, from the
- 1:25:12book of Enoch, if you believe that book, but it's, you know,
- 1:25:17not canonized, I guess is what the proper word is.
- 1:25:20But but it really explains a lot of things.
- 1:25:23But there were these angels who fell away from God, who rebelled
- 1:25:27against God and they wanted to be worshipped and they taught
- 1:25:29mankind things that mankind didn't know, didn't know how to
- 1:25:33do and taught them things like astrology.
- 1:25:36And there were like technical things, like I think there's
- 1:25:40some sort of mathematical things and maybe technology.
- 1:25:43There's there's a lot of things. I haven't read the book in a
- 1:25:46long time. I just read it once, but it's
- 1:25:50very informative. If you can get your hands on the
- 1:25:52book of Enoch. It's, it's interesting to read,
- 1:25:55but it does, it does. It's about these angels who
- 1:26:00rebelled against God and they all kind of banded together and
- 1:26:03they wanted to be gods, which we know that's what Satan wanted to
- 1:26:07do. He wanted to be worshipped like
- 1:26:08God. We see all of God's enemies
- 1:26:10wanting to be worshipped. They don't want to submit to
- 1:26:13God. They want to be worshipped
- 1:26:14instead. So anyway, there are fallen
- 1:26:20angels, there are rebellious angels, and it says Satan
- 1:26:25himself can appear masquerading as an Angel of light.
- 1:26:29That's in Scripture. So Satan is deceiving.
- 1:26:33He can show himself to people, and people think it might be
- 1:26:37Jesus, but it could be Satan. That's what he does.
- 1:26:41So he could have influenced many, many early people.
- 1:26:48The interesting story search this out, the interesting story
- 1:26:51about Muhammad was that he got these revelations.
- 1:26:55I think it was over a 13 year period and at the time there are
- 1:27:03documentation that he thought he was possessed.
- 1:27:08Now, he thought he was possessed, and I think he wanted
- 1:27:14to or he tried to kill himself. That's demonic.
- 1:27:19So why would you think that anything good is coming from
- 1:27:23these revelations when you're having this horrible?
- 1:27:26I mean, he was tormented by this stuff.
- 1:27:29And then look at what happened in his life.
- 1:27:31He went out and killed, massacred people and not only
- 1:27:35that, but then he it was either a six year old or a nine year
- 1:27:39old that he took as as his wife and consummated the marriage at
- 1:27:45either six or nine years old. I'm not sure there might be a
- 1:27:48debate on that, but I don't care which age it is.
- 1:27:53That is still wrong. That is a young child.
- 1:27:57I mean, that's what we call abuse, sexual abuse.
- 1:28:02And this is what that leader did.
- 1:28:06And to call that leader Ace, you know who they will acknowledge
- 1:28:10he was sinful, but to to call him a greater prophet than Jesus
- 1:28:18and then they acknowledge that Jesus was sinless.
- 1:28:22I mean, that doesn't make any logical sense.
- 1:28:25And that's where it's like what happened to these people's
- 1:28:28minds. Like are their minds seared?
- 1:28:31Did God turn them over to evil for some reason?
- 1:28:34Like how can they believe this? How can they follow a person who
- 1:28:40has the track record of Muhammad?
- 1:28:43And how do they not? Just by logical standpoint, look
- 1:28:47at the Quran that says we this, we that we this.
- 1:28:50That's angels giving the information.
- 1:28:52That's not a direct revelation from God.
- 1:28:55That's an Angel. That's a third party.
- 1:28:58Do you think maybe that could be a bad Angel?
- 1:29:00Do you think it could be a fallen Angel that gave that
- 1:29:02revelation to him? It sure sounds like it when you
- 1:29:05hear his history. So we have people who are maybe
- 1:29:09not practicing the true Islamic belief and that are peaceful.
- 1:29:15But if you look at and read Surah Chapter 9, you will see
- 1:29:21that it says to kill the polytheist, basically to convert
- 1:29:25them or kill them. And they are openly saying that
- 1:29:28now in the world they want everybody to conform to Islamic
- 1:29:34religion. And that is very concerning
- 1:29:39because I believe it is something that came from fallen
- 1:29:45angels and it is a great deception that is in the Bible
- 1:29:50prophecies, that there will be a great deception that will bring
- 1:29:53an apostasy, a falling away from the faith.
- 1:29:57And we are seeing that the numbers of Muslims are growing,
- 1:30:02whether just by having babies or by converting people or
- 1:30:06converting people out of fear, like threatening their lives.
- 1:30:10And again, you don't want to shrink from your faith because
- 1:30:15ultimately you will end up where all those people will also end
- 1:30:18up. They think they're going to be
- 1:30:20promised 72 virgins or 27 virgins or something like that.
- 1:30:24But in reality, if they continue down that path and they don't
- 1:30:28get to know Jesus, and they don't believe in Jesus, they're
- 1:30:31going to be thrown into the burning lake of sulfur at the
- 1:30:34end of the 1000 years. Or if they're present during
- 1:30:39God's wrath, they may be the subjects of wrath.
- 1:30:41And if they die without knowing Jesus, without believing in
- 1:30:45Jesus, they're going to get the opportunity to believe in Jesus.
- 1:30:48But if they reject Jesus, what they think they're going to get
- 1:30:54and what they actually get is complete opposite.
- 1:30:58And I have compassion for the people or empathy for the people
- 1:31:03who do not know Jesus. And I pray and we should all
- 1:31:07pray for the people to get to know Jesus.
- 1:31:12And I hope they do because I don't have any bad.
- 1:31:18Let's see, how do I say it? I don't like what the religion
- 1:31:21teaches at all. But as far as the people go, I
- 1:31:25think some people are ignorantly involved with the religion and
- 1:31:29it's not expressed the way that I'm explaining it.
- 1:31:33But you can search this out on your own and you can find this
- 1:31:36stuff, at least for now. I don't know how long that's
- 1:31:38going to be online. But then I also want to give you
- 1:31:42some timelines. The the last book of the Bible
- 1:31:47was written in 90 AD and that was the Book of Revelation from
- 1:31:53by the disciple John who was on the island of Patmos.
- 1:31:58And SO90AD was the last book of the Bible that was written and
- 1:32:03within the Bible. And I think these might have
- 1:32:06been written in the 60 AD or 70. I don't know at what point I
- 1:32:11don't, I'm not sure exactly. 6070 AD, I'm not sure.
- 1:32:14I didn't look it up, but they were written before 90 AD.
- 1:32:18But this is this is Paul. Paul warns about a different
- 1:32:25gospel. The gospel is the good news.
- 1:32:29And so if you compare what is good news, Jesus is saying that
- 1:32:33he made a way for us to get into God's Kingdom and that we just
- 1:32:37need to believe in him and receive the Holy Spirit and then
- 1:32:42we will be repent. I mean, we obviously repent of
- 1:32:46our sins. We we want to change and we
- 1:32:49receive the Holy Spirit in order to make that change.
- 1:32:52And then we will be in God's Kingdom if we remain that way,
- 1:32:57if we don't reject him before we die.
- 1:33:00And So what the Bible says, it says in Galatians chapter one
- 1:33:06verse 6, this is Paul talking. I am astonished that you are all
- 1:33:11so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace
- 1:33:17of Christ and are turning to a different gospel.
- 1:33:19Well, this was something he was writing to the Galatians.
- 1:33:22That wasn't the first I wanted to read first.
- 1:33:24I wanted to read second Corinthians Chapter 11 verse 4.
- 1:33:30Here's the important one that makes my point.
- 1:33:33For if someone comes to you, for if someone comes to you and
- 1:33:41preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you
- 1:33:48receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received or a
- 1:33:54different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it
- 1:33:59easily enough. That is not be a cursed.
- 1:34:08I know there's maybe it's a different version where it says
- 1:34:11let them be a cursed. It might be the new King's James
- 1:34:16version and so I want to look that up to find out where that
- 1:34:23is. OK this is Galatians 1 so I had
- 1:34:30the wrong verses here. This is the one I was after
- 1:34:33Galatians 1 chapter or Galatians chapter one verse 8.
- 1:34:41Make sure you remember this Galatians one verse 8.
- 1:34:45But even if we or an Angel from heaven preach any other gospel
- 1:34:53to you than what we have preached to you, let him be
- 1:34:57accursed. And so this is, I think about
- 1:35:05the Islamic religion because Muhammad received revelation,
- 1:35:11they say, from God, but it was from angels.
- 1:35:14And he, I think he said it was from angels.
- 1:35:16And this book was written no later than 90 AD.
- 1:35:22That would be the last time, I mean 90 AD.
- 1:35:24And it was a warning that was put in there.
- 1:35:26If anyone, even an Angel from heaven, ever tells you anything
- 1:35:31different than this, let them be accursed.
- 1:35:35And and that's that's important to know because Muhammad was in
- 1:35:42the 600 BCS. So we have at least 500 BCS.
- 1:35:48I'm sorry, AD so we have at least 500 years after the Bible
- 1:35:55was written, the Quran comes out and it's telling a different
- 1:36:00message of salvation. The Bible warned us about this
- 1:36:05and then it comes along and people are being deceived by
- 1:36:08that. So if you know anyone who is
- 1:36:11wavering on their faith and what they should believe, there's
- 1:36:17there is some things that you know really need to be looked
- 1:36:22into because this is very, very important.
- 1:36:28Another part is that in Psalm 11 verse 5, it says the Lord
- 1:36:37examines the righteous but the wicked comma those who love
- 1:36:43violence he hates with a passion.
- 1:36:46So this is talking about God loving the righteous, but he's
- 1:36:50not condoning violence. It says he hates with a passion.
- 1:36:56So I think that's another thing we need to know the truth and
- 1:37:00what is said about God. Another thing in Proverbs 616
- 1:37:06through 19, it says there are 6 things the Lord hates 7 that are
- 1:37:14detestable to him. Haughty eyes, which is a proud
- 1:37:18look, a lying tongue. So liars.
- 1:37:23And think about this. In the Quran it's written, it
- 1:37:26says that the Jews believe that Ezra is the son of God, but the
- 1:37:30Jews don't believe that. So that's a lie right there in
- 1:37:35their own book that I didn't even know was there until today.
- 1:37:38So God hates that. So how could that be from God if
- 1:37:43there's a lie that's just blatantly said right in there,
- 1:37:48it says hands that shed innocent blood.
- 1:37:51Well, what does Islam do when they go and conquer what
- 1:37:55happened October 7th, 2023? What were innocent blood shed?
- 1:38:02These people, supposedly the people that lived, were they in
- 1:38:05that village where they, the kibbutz, were they attacked?
- 1:38:09Those were the people that were help helping the Gazans, the
- 1:38:12stands. They had compassion for the
- 1:38:16Palestinians or the Gazans, and yet the their neighbors murdered
- 1:38:22them, baked their babies in the oven, cut cut open.
- 1:38:26Woman's wombs, pregnant women killed in front of each other.
- 1:38:33This is what the Lord hates, A heart that devises wicked
- 1:38:38schemes. Well, there was probably some
- 1:38:39planning involved in that. Feet that are to rush into evil,
- 1:38:44Is that not evil? Did they not rush in by feet?
- 1:38:47They had paragliders who came in on a festival with a lot of
- 1:38:52Jewish people that were there and other people probably that
- 1:38:54weren't even Jewish that were murdered and then a false
- 1:38:59witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in
- 1:39:03the community. There is so much propaganda
- 1:39:08about this that is inciting people within the US and there
- 1:39:12is a lot of anti-Semitism that is is really trying to divide
- 1:39:19our country. We have to be careful about that
- 1:39:22because these are things like the things that make us hate
- 1:39:26another person. Those are not from God.
- 1:39:29God, we should have compassion for all people, people who are
- 1:39:33misled, people who and not. We're not going to conquer them
- 1:39:38by force. It becomes their choice.
- 1:39:41But we should make it aware to them how they can be saved.
- 1:39:45And then if they choose to ignore it, that's OK.
- 1:39:48Not really. It's not OK for them, but that's
- 1:39:52their right. God gave us free will.
- 1:39:54God gave us a freedom to choose and we need.
- 1:39:58We have that and everyone should have that.
- 1:40:02And then the other thing that I noticed about the Quran was the
- 1:40:06fear that it instilled. It was basically saying, you
- 1:40:09know, if you start following these unbelievers, which are
- 1:40:12Christians and Jews, if you align with their beliefs, then
- 1:40:17you know you're going to be punished by Allah.
- 1:40:19Well, that's not how God's. I mean, God does say in the end
- 1:40:24that there's going to be a judgement, but the Bible also
- 1:40:28says in first John chapter 4 verse 18, there is No Fear in
- 1:40:34love. But perfect love drives out fear
- 1:40:40because fear has to do with punishment.
- 1:40:43The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
- 1:40:47And what we need to remember is that God is love.
- 1:40:53So the Bible also does say the fear of the Lord is the
- 1:40:58beginning of wisdom, but that doesn't say that we fear him
- 1:41:02forever. But in the beginning, when we
- 1:41:05realized that we are God's objects of wrath because of our
- 1:41:09sin, like the justice, if God was going to give us justice, we
- 1:41:13would get his wrath. When we realized that, yeah, you
- 1:41:18better bet that's going to mean there's some fear there.
- 1:41:21But that's not where we stay because we know that's not what
- 1:41:24God wants for us. He disciplines his children to
- 1:41:29bring us to repentance, but he doesn't want to destroy us.
- 1:41:33Earlier we were talking about how God postponed his judgement,
- 1:41:39his punishment for the people, you know, in in allowing time
- 1:41:45for his Son to come if Jesus didn't come.
- 1:41:48Like Jesus's death on the cross covers everybody prior to him
- 1:41:52and during his time and after his time in the future.
- 1:41:56So it covers everything. There is one sacrifice made for
- 1:41:59all people. So we are all covered by that.
- 1:42:02If we have fear of God, we we should.
- 1:42:08If we are not his friend, if we are living in sin, we are God's
- 1:42:12enemy. The Bible does tell us that.
- 1:42:15But when we ask for forgiveness, we repent.
- 1:42:18We ask God for the Holy Spirit to help us live out our lives.
- 1:42:22We don't have that fear anymore because we experience the
- 1:42:27perfect love of God. We know that God loves us.
- 1:42:33We know God doesn't want to punish us and we know God has
- 1:42:38good things in store for us. It says in first John chapter 4
- 1:42:45verse 8, whoever does not love does not know God because God is
- 1:42:52love. And in verse 16 it says and so
- 1:42:56we know and rely on the love of God, on the love God has for us.
- 1:43:02God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in
- 1:43:08God and God in them. So by showing our love to
- 1:43:14others, that exhibits who God is.
- 1:43:19And like it said, you know, you could have faith, but if you
- 1:43:21don't have love, it doesn't mean anything because God it it.
- 1:43:28God's presence will be emanating from people who believe in him.
- 1:43:33So I, I don't know how many other things that I had searched
- 1:43:39that might be important to discuss, but I did want to say
- 1:43:46like the, I don't know, I don't want to end on that note, but
- 1:43:52Jesus is so important. I want to read a couple things
- 1:43:58that Jesus said in Matthew chapter 10, verse 32.
- 1:44:04Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge
- 1:44:10before my Father in heaven. So again, this is we can't deny
- 1:44:15Jesus. Jesus is the separation of the
- 1:44:20the three faiths that we were talking about, the Abrahamic
- 1:44:23religions. That's what separates Christians
- 1:44:27from Muslims and from the Jews, is that we acknowledge Jesus.
- 1:44:33We acknowledge that he was the atoning sacrifice.
- 1:44:36It helps us so much when we read the book, the Jewish portion of
- 1:44:41the Bible, the Old Testament, because then we understand the
- 1:44:45things that are talked about in the New Testament.
- 1:44:48Jesus also said in Luke chapter 12 verse 8.
- 1:44:51I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others,
- 1:44:57the Son of man will also acknowledge before the angels of
- 1:45:02God. There is like, these are like
- 1:45:06promises that Jesus made to people who stay with him, people
- 1:45:13who believe with, believe in him.
- 1:45:17And you know, I did wonder and I've kind of heard some, but I
- 1:45:21wondered, you know, because I see Jesus referenced and he, he
- 1:45:25was referred to so many times, like we just talked about, you
- 1:45:30know, 500 times or so prophecies prophetically, the things that
- 1:45:35he fulfilled. And so I wondered what, what do
- 1:45:38people think the Messiah is to the Jews?
- 1:45:40Like who are they looking for? So I I searched that who is the
- 1:45:45Messiah? To the Jews and Judaism, the
- 1:45:47Messiah Moshek is a future human leader, a descendant of King
- 1:45:53David, who will bring a global era of peace, justice and
- 1:46:00wisdom, rebuild the temple in Jerusalem and gather all Jews to
- 1:46:06Israel, ushering in the Messianic Age.
- 1:46:10He is not a divine, but a wise, powerful and righteous king, a
- 1:46:17great prophet second only to Moses, who will unite humanity
- 1:46:22under God, not a savior figure who atones for sins.
- 1:46:28So this is just really, this is just really sad because the
- 1:46:36Savior, the Son of God is the one who will ultimately save the
- 1:46:43Jews. But many will go through
- 1:46:47persecution because their denial of who he is.
- 1:46:52And that is also in prophecy. And if only their eyes would be
- 1:46:57opened, if only they would turn to God, if only they would
- 1:47:01really truly seek God and say God, do you have a son?
- 1:47:04Did you send a son? Is Jesus the Messiah?
- 1:47:07I know God would reveal that. I know God would.
- 1:47:12And if they come to God in repentance, that when we read in
- 1:47:16historic, you know, like what we've read in these Jeremiah,
- 1:47:20the people would not repent. They wouldn't turn to God.
- 1:47:22They wanted to keep doing their own things.
- 1:47:25And there is if they would just carefully read the scripture,
- 1:47:31it, it seems like it should be clear, but I know that there was
- 1:47:35a blindness that was put over the Jewish people because of
- 1:47:40their unrepentance and because of their rejection of God's Son.
- 1:47:48Then it it brought about the ability for Gentiles for non
- 1:47:53Jews to come into the Kingdom. So we are thankful for that.
- 1:47:57But it's, you know, God's chosen people.
- 1:48:01It's sad that the people that he chose are not fully accepting
- 1:48:06him and not accepting the Savior that he sent.
- 1:48:10And it's, I think a lot of it has is because people pass this
- 1:48:16information on and people don't study things for themselves.
- 1:48:20They listen to somebody else and then they believe somebody that
- 1:48:23they respect. But we need to get into the
- 1:48:26word. We need to think critically and
- 1:48:29ask questions about it, seek it and pray about it and ask for
- 1:48:33the Holy Spirit to reveal things so we we don't want to be
- 1:48:37deceived because God does have a wonderful plan for us and He has
- 1:48:44so much good in store for us. Jesus said he was going to
- 1:48:49prepare a place for his disciples and that he was going
- 1:48:53to come back and bring him, bring them to the place where he
- 1:48:56has prepared. This is where Jesus has been
- 1:48:59gone for all this time, but he is coming back and he's coming
- 1:49:04back for a people who don't deny him, a people who have faith in
- 1:49:09him, a people who trust in God. So it's something for you to
- 1:49:14really reflect on. Who is Jesus to you?
- 1:49:18Do you believe him? If he returned any day, will you
- 1:49:24be in the group that Jesus will protect or will you be in the
- 1:49:31group that the wrath of God will come against for the denial of
- 1:49:35Christ at that point, that is going to be justice by God.
- 1:49:38But God is going, He has a time frame and he's going to separate
- 1:49:43good from evil. And we only become good through
- 1:49:49Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. We can't receive the Holy Spirit
- 1:49:54unless we believe because Jesus essentially what the Bible, what
- 1:49:59I understand is Jesus controls who receives the Holy Spirit.
- 1:50:02So you're not going to get the Holy Spirit directly to God from
- 1:50:05the Father if you try and circumvent the Son.
- 1:50:09You have to go through Jesus to have the Holy Spirit.
- 1:50:12So you need the Holy Spirit to be in the Kingdom of God.
- 1:50:16So if any of this stuff doesn't make sense to you, please keep
- 1:50:21searching more. Look into it, study it, pray
- 1:50:25about it, because it is so critical for every single
- 1:50:29person's future. And if you found this helpful
