- 0:20Speaker 3: Welcome in to Stugatsu Company Live.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Charles McDonald is going to join us in about 15
- 0:25Speaker 1: to 20 minutes. Reese Davis is going to join us
- 0:28Speaker 1: in hour number two. Taylor, let's welcome in a new
- 0:31Speaker 1: affiliate here to the radio show. Fox Sports, 1370 a.m.
- 0:37Speaker 1: in Baltimore, Maryland. Welcome, Maryland. Welcome, Baltimore. I enjoy taking
- 0:42Speaker 1: my girls lacrosse team that I coached into your state
- 0:45Speaker 1: and beating.
- 0:46Speaker 3: All of your teams. How about that? How is that
- 0:48Speaker 3: for an introduction, Taylor?
- 0:50Speaker 4: Underrated city, Baltimore.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Is it really?
- 0:52Speaker 4: Love their crab cakes.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Put it on the poll. Is Baltimore an underrated city?
- 0:57Speaker 1: I don't think Baltimore is an underrated city. I think
- 1:00Speaker 1: it's just a benign city no one really thinks about.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I love Baltimore.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Welcome, Baltimore.
- 1:05Speaker 3: I say this loving Baltimore, loving Fox Sports 1370 AM
- 1:11Speaker 3: in Baltimore.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Welcome to the program. I'm sorry I've insulted you three
- 1:16Speaker 1: times on your way into the show. Taylor, let's start
- 1:20Speaker 1: here with Jackson Dart before we get to Charles McDonald.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I cannot believe that you're still interested in talking about
- 1:27Speaker 1: Jackson Dart.
- 1:28Speaker 3: He is now out for the year.
- 1:29Speaker 1: But I do think there is an interesting question for
- 1:31Speaker 1: both the Giants and the Commanders to kind of ponder.
- 1:36Speaker 1: And that's what do you do with Jackson Dart and
- 1:39Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels, both guys who have been injured, both guys
- 1:43Speaker 1: who have showed a ton of promise, especially Jaden Daniels
- 1:46Speaker 1: in his rookie year taking that team. to an NFC
- 1:49Speaker 1: championship game. But what do you do because they're injury prone,
- 1:53Speaker 1: because there are so many great quarterbacks coming out in
- 1:57Speaker 1: this year's NFL draft? What are those two teams going
- 2:00Speaker 1: to do in terms of do you keep Jackson Dart?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Do you ride it out with Jackson Dart? Do you
- 2:05Speaker 1: draft a young quarterback? What do you do if you're
- 2:07Speaker 1: the commanders?
- 2:08Speaker 3: I do find that part of this pretty fascinating.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Yeah, there's more optimism in Washington with the fact that
- 2:14Speaker 4: you would expect Jaden Daniels to come back at some
- 2:16Speaker 4: point this season, where on the other end of that,
- 2:19Speaker 4: Jackson Dart is done for this season. And I think
- 2:21Speaker 4: Jaden Daniels has proven more in his time in the
- 2:24Speaker 4: NFL than somebody like Jackson Dart, where this felt like
- 2:26Speaker 4: such a big year for Jackson Dart when Harbaugh gets
- 2:29Speaker 4: to New York to prove whether or not he's the
- 2:31Speaker 4: franchise quarterback. And that's why when it comes to Jackson Dart,
- 2:35Speaker 4: I think the conversation is much bigger than whether the
- 2:38Speaker 4: Giants can survive this season or not with Jameis Winston.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Sure.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Because now with Dart, you're having to ask yourself whether
- 2:46Speaker 4: or not he's your franchise quarterback going forward, whether or
- 2:49Speaker 4: not you could count on him to be healthy moving forward.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Well, have you seen enough from Jackson Dart where if
- 2:54Speaker 1: you're John Harbaugh, you are convinced that's my quarterback, that's
- 2:57Speaker 1: my guy? Because keep in mind, so when John took
- 3:00Speaker 1: that job– Yes, of course. The Giants, an organization, a
- 3:04Speaker 1: pillar organization, although they haven't been good in a decade.
- 3:07Speaker 1: One of the main reasons that he took that job
- 3:11Speaker 1: was because he thought he had a young quarterback and
- 3:13Speaker 1: would have that quarterback for the next 10 or 15 years.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Jackson Dart is probably reason number one as to why
- 3:20Speaker 1: John Harbaugh took that job.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yeah, the problem that I'm running into with Jackson Dart
- 3:24Speaker 4: is availability has to matter. Whether you're deciding whether or
- 3:28Speaker 4: not you could build the next five years of your
- 3:30Speaker 4: franchise around somebody. And it doesn't really mean that Dart
- 3:33Speaker 4: can't be the guy. It just means that the Giants
- 3:35Speaker 4: can't assume the question has already been answered. And with
- 3:39Speaker 4: somebody like Dart and with the landscape of the NFL...
- 3:42Speaker 4: maximizing what you do with your quarterback in their rookie
- 3:45Speaker 4: window sure is so crucial before you even get to
- 3:48Speaker 4: that second contract and now you're you're losing another year
- 3:52Speaker 4: there to where the injury is so damaging but beyond
- 3:56Speaker 4: this season because you're potentially entering next season where you
- 3:59Speaker 4: need to answer three questions is dart healthy for next
- 4:02Speaker 4: season right is dart good enough for next season well
- 4:05Speaker 4: that's it can dart stay healthy for next season yes.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Can he ever stay healthy for a full season You
- 4:10Speaker 1: can ask those same questions about Jaden Daniels, although he
- 4:12Speaker 1: did stay healthy for his rookie season, and we saw
- 4:15Speaker 1: how that went.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And you're right.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I've seen enough from Jaden Daniels where I am willing
- 4:21Speaker 1: to put up with some of the injury stuff.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And ride him out as my young... I've seen enough.
- 4:25Speaker 1: With Jackson Dart, I am not certain that anyone has
- 4:29Speaker 1: seen enough to convince themselves that, you know what? We
- 4:33Speaker 1: don't need a backup plan here at quarterback. We don't
- 4:35Speaker 1: need a young backup plan here at quarterback.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And where it could get really interesting is if I
- 4:39Speaker 4: tell you next season the Giants are picking in the
- 4:42Speaker 4: top five, and you start to enter that Mensah from
- 4:46Speaker 4: Miami conversation, Dante Moore, Trinidad Chambliss is rising up draft boards,
- 4:52Speaker 4: Arch Manning... Are you getting into the conversations now of
- 4:56Speaker 4: the Giants would entertain one of those names at quarterback?
- 4:59Speaker 4: Or are you strengthening around Dart with somebody like Jeremiah
- 5:03Speaker 4: Smith from Ohio State where if you really thought Jackson
- 5:06Speaker 4: Dart was your franchise quarterback, you're racing to hand that
- 5:10Speaker 4: card in to get him that number one receiver. And
- 5:12Speaker 4: then all of a sudden Malik Neighbors is probably the
- 5:15Speaker 4: best wide receiver too in the NFL.
- 5:16Speaker 3: There is just no way. I don't care.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I mean, there is no way you have watched Jackson
- 5:21Speaker 1: Dart and you're able to convince yourself that Jackson Dart
- 5:25Speaker 1: is going to be able to stay healthy and is
- 5:27Speaker 1: going to be a long-term. And I hate saying this.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Because I love Jackson Dart. And I love his style
- 5:33Speaker 1: of play. And I love his leadership. And I think
- 5:36Speaker 1: he could be a great quarterback. But the injuries are something.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And before the knee, it was the head. And now
- 5:41Speaker 1: it's a knee combined with all the head injuries. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: you just can't convince yourself. I don't think you can
- 5:47Speaker 1: if you're John Harbaugh to not take a quarterback, a
- 5:49Speaker 1: rookie quarterback, in what is being called the greatest draft
- 5:53Speaker 1: for quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. You have
- 5:55Speaker 1: to take one. You just do. You cannot be sold.
- 5:58Speaker 1: on Jackson Dart long-term.
- 6:00Speaker 3: You can't.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Especially because Jackson Dart's whole thing is having that escapability
- 6:05Speaker 4: in the pocket where he didn't necessarily show that when
- 6:08Speaker 4: he was at Ole Miss with Lane Kiffin, but ever
- 6:10Speaker 4: since he's gotten to New York, he's made it pretty clear, like,
- 6:13Speaker 4: running is a big part of his game, and now
- 6:17Speaker 4: if you're having to restructure his knee, how does he
- 6:19Speaker 4: look Coming back to that, if that's an element of
- 6:23Speaker 4: his game that's kind of been taken away, and now
- 6:25Speaker 4: you're relying on him to be more of a pocket passer.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 6:29Speaker 4: That's not really Jackson Dart's whole thing.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You're taking away some of the stuff that makes him
- 6:33Speaker 1: special is being taken away, A, because of the knee, B,
- 6:36Speaker 1: because you really don't want him running.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You know? Like, you just don't.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And so I'm even more confused now than I was
- 6:42Speaker 1: when we started this conversation.
- 6:44Speaker 3: John Horbaugh has to take a quarterback. He does.
- 6:47Speaker 4: I am not envious of anybody in that Giants building
- 6:49Speaker 4: right now because Jackson Dart has been hurt for, you know,
- 6:54Speaker 4: it's been known that he's going to have season-ending surgery
- 6:58Speaker 4: for like less than six hours at this point. And
- 7:01Speaker 4: I have run through every possible alternative in my head,
- 7:05Speaker 4: every possible scenario for the Giants moving forward.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:08Speaker 4: And there really isn't a great answer.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Well, Jameis, I'm not certain he's the answer. He certainly
- 7:13Speaker 1: wasn't the answer against the Rams. By the way, do
- 7:15Speaker 1: you think Jackson Dart was aware of the criticism that
- 7:19Speaker 1: Caleb Williams was getting for leaving his game and really
- 7:23Speaker 1: sold the fact that he might come back into the game?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Because my brother, who loves this stuff, he's texting me.
- 7:29Speaker 1: We had Jackson on our fantasy team, so we lost him.
- 7:31Speaker 1: But he's texting me, you got to love Jax. And
- 7:34Speaker 1: I'm like, who's Jax? And he's like, Jackson Dart, you
- 7:37Speaker 1: got to love him. He spelled it J-A-X. I said,
- 7:41Speaker 1: why do we have to love him? He goes, the
- 7:43Speaker 1: dude tore his ACL and wanted to play football still.
- 7:47Speaker 3: You got to love a guy like that. And I'm
- 7:49Speaker 3: responding to my brother.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I think he did that just to make Caleb Williams
- 7:52Speaker 1: look bad.
- 7:54Speaker 4: So if you're, let's say you're the Bears and you're
- 7:57Speaker 4: the Giants right now.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Would you rather have a quarterback that's injured or a
- 8:01Speaker 4: quarterback that everybody is saying might be soft? Because, yes,
- 8:07Speaker 4: you're normally going to take the generational quarterback talent in
- 8:11Speaker 4: Caleb Williams.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:13Speaker 4: But I do think there is something there to Jackson
- 8:15Speaker 4: Dart where there's no way he was able to avoid
- 8:19Speaker 4: the narrative of everybody questioning Caleb Williams' toughness, the people
- 8:24Speaker 4: from the couches with their potato chips and their Coca-Cola,
- 8:28Speaker 4: questioning whether or not an NFL quarterback was justified, whether
- 8:32Speaker 4: or not his— he probably felt like his hamstring was falling
- 8:35Speaker 4: off the bone.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Of course, yes.
- 8:36Speaker 4: And then all the tough guys on the internet are saying, oh,
- 8:38Speaker 4: this guy— Start acting a little tougher, Caleb Williams.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Put it on the poll.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Would you rather have a healthy Caleb Williams or an
- 8:44Speaker 1: injured Jackson Dart? What a ridiculous question to ask. So
- 8:53Speaker 1: what do you think they're going to do? If you're
- 8:54Speaker 1: the Giants, you have to go with the first. You
- 8:55Speaker 1: have to take a quarterback first round. It probably wasn't
- 8:59Speaker 1: the plan when you started the season. The plan was
- 9:01Speaker 1: not for your quarterback to go down with a season-ending
- 9:04Speaker 1: injury where he needs surgery and a guy who's already
- 9:06Speaker 1: been injured.
- 9:07Speaker 3: In years past.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So I think if you're John Harbaugh, I think we've
- 9:10Speaker 1: talked ourselves into it. If we're John Harbaugh and Joe Shane,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you have to take a quarterback here in the first round.
- 9:15Speaker 3: You do. Yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 4: But then I started thinking about Jeremiah Smith in New York,
- 9:19Speaker 4: where if like Jackson darts knee, if, if Jackson darts knee,
- 9:22Speaker 4: where the ACL is still intact, but everything else is torn.
- 9:25Speaker 4: If they could fix that and Jackson dart could come
- 9:28Speaker 4: back and be 90 to 95% of the quarterback that,
- 9:32Speaker 4: that everybody kind of expects him to be.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Yes.
- 9:35Speaker 4: He does trend more towards being that franchise quarterback level
- 9:41Speaker 4: of performance where if now you're telling me you'd have
- 9:44Speaker 4: that version of Jackson Dart and you're pairing him with
- 9:46Speaker 4: somebody like Jeremiah Smith, all of a sudden I could
- 9:49Speaker 4: talk myself into that scenario too.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Who would be most upset if the Giants did indeed
- 9:53Speaker 3: draft a quarterback next season? Would it be Cam Scadaboo?
- 9:57Speaker 4: Yeah. Those two have hit it. each other's wagon to
- 10:01Speaker 4: each other.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Like if they handed Cam Scadaboo the card to go
- 10:05Speaker 1: up to Goodell to read it at the draft, he
- 10:07Speaker 1: refuses to say the quarterback's name.
- 10:10Speaker 4: The part that I'm so confused, like they were talking
- 10:13Speaker 4: to Cam Scadaboo after the game and he was like, yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 4: Jackson Dart would have played back in that game and
- 10:18Speaker 4: You're hearing Joe Shane saying, like, we think we have
- 10:20Speaker 4: avoided a major catastrophe.
- 10:23Speaker 3: In the injury. Yes, right.
- 10:25Speaker 4: What happened in the communication of this injury that everybody
- 10:29Speaker 4: was so confident? The Twitter doctors are so confident that
- 10:31Speaker 4: there's no structural damage to Jackson Dart. The initial reports
- 10:35Speaker 4: felt like everything was intact to say maybe four to
- 10:38Speaker 4: six week injury. And now worst case scenario, he's out
- 10:42Speaker 4: for the season.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Is there a chance that Joe Shane, the Giants, they
- 10:46Speaker 1: were watching it the way we were watching it and
- 10:48Speaker 1: he's walking around and it doesn't appear to be that
- 10:50Speaker 1: bad of a limp and he's shaking hands.
- 10:52Speaker 3: And he's on the sidelines and he's being a leader.
- 10:54Speaker 3: And they're like, yeah, he's fine.
- 10:56Speaker 4: It's crazy what adrenaline could do.
- 10:58Speaker 3: They're like, oh, he looks fine to us.
- 11:01Speaker 4: He had so much adrenaline, he was like, I think
- 11:03Speaker 4: I could go back in this game. It sounded like
- 11:04Speaker 4: they had to drag the uniform off his body.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. He knew he couldn't go back.
- 11:09Speaker 1: This is how you play it if you're Jackson Dart.
- 11:11Speaker 1: He knew very well he was not going back into
- 11:14Speaker 1: that game. But he also was very well aware of
- 11:17Speaker 1: what Caleb Williams did the day before. And so what
- 11:20Speaker 1: did Jackson Dart do? He gave the appearance, he said
- 11:23Speaker 1: the things he needed to say, and all the reports
- 11:26Speaker 1: came out that Jackson Dart still wanted to play, even
- 11:30Speaker 1: while being that injured. It's a great move, because that's
- 11:32Speaker 1: why my brother texts me, you gotta love Jax.
- 11:38Speaker 3: My brother has never.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Texted me anything about any Giant quarterback or anything Giants
- 11:42Speaker 1: related in.
- 11:45Speaker 3: The 53 years. I forgot how old I was.
- 11:47Speaker 1: In the 53 years that I've been alive, he has
- 11:50Speaker 1: never texted me anything about a Giant, the New York Giants,
- 11:54Speaker 1: any Giant, Andre the Giant.
- 11:56Speaker 3: He has never texted me anything about it. But what
- 11:59Speaker 3: do I get last night? Gotta love Jacks. That's a
- 12:01Speaker 3: great move.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 12:05Speaker 2: live weekdays at 3 p.m. Eastern, 12 p.m. Pacific on
- 12:10Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Our thanks to Charles McDonald for joining us last segment.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Rhys Davis going to join us in hour number two.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Before I get to Dan Byer here, I want to
- 12:25Speaker 1: talk to the audience because me and Mikey A, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: I told him to get out of the way, He's
- 12:31Speaker 1: off radio today. I've even told Taylor, get out of
- 12:34Speaker 1: the way. Those guys are upset because the only reason,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and I mean the only reason, I came back to
- 12:43Speaker 1: do radio was because I wanted to interact with the listeners.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I wanted to take phone calls. I do not want
- 12:51Speaker 1: to replay interviews, replay stuff that we did earlier in
- 12:55Speaker 1: the day because let me just set the day for you.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Before I get here, We are doing three hours of content,
- 13:04Speaker 1: sometimes four. It's all the stuff I don't want to
- 13:08Speaker 1: be doing. Podcasting is very lonely. The only reason I
- 13:12Speaker 1: do all of that is to get to this. It's
- 13:15Speaker 1: kind of like Andy Dufresne in Shawshank Redemption. And he's
- 13:20Speaker 1: crawling through a river of you know what to get
- 13:23Speaker 1: to the other side, to get to freedom. And this
- 13:26Speaker 1: show and you, the callers, and interacting with you, And
- 13:30Speaker 1: saying hello to you.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I don't care what you want to talk about. But
- 13:34Speaker 3: Mikey A.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And Taylor are convinced that we cannot get phone calls
- 13:38Speaker 1: on this show. Not that we solicit them too often.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And I told them, hey, it's all in the messaging.
- 13:44Speaker 1: If I simply tell them that I am crawling through
- 13:47Speaker 1: a river of Reese Davis and Charles McDonald just to
- 13:51Speaker 1: get to the callers here at 3 o'clock, that they'll call.
- 13:55Speaker 1: that I would like these two hours not to be
- 13:57Speaker 1: replays of stuff that we've done before. I would like
- 14:00Speaker 1: it to be me and you interacting about whatever it
- 14:04Speaker 1: is that you would like to talk about. And so
- 14:07Speaker 1: I've been telling Mikey and Taylor that this is really
- 14:10Speaker 1: all in the messaging, because if I'm not taking calls
- 14:13Speaker 1: for two hours a day, I don't see any point
- 14:15Speaker 1: in doing this. I got to be honest with you,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but I'll continue to do it because the paychecks are great. So,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I told Mikey A., I told Taylor, this is all
- 14:25Speaker 1: about messaging. If you tell the people this is what
- 14:28Speaker 1: I want the show to be, they will make it
- 14:31Speaker 1: the show that I want it to be. And so
- 14:33Speaker 1: I told the two of them, all right, to get
- 14:36Speaker 1: out of the way.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Taylor will be back when we have Reese Davis on.
- 14:40Speaker 3: But I told them to get out of the way
- 14:42Speaker 3: because I want to see who's right.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Are they right or am I right? And so I'm
- 14:46Speaker 1: simply going to give out the phone number. I am
- 14:48Speaker 1: not going to take calls here. I will take them
- 14:50Speaker 1: next segment, okay? And it's the only segment we have
- 14:53Speaker 1: left because Reese Davis is coming up and because we
- 14:55Speaker 1: have a game of more Mike Lee. And I will
- 14:58Speaker 1: not cancel a game of more Mike Lee, even for callers. OK,
- 15:01Speaker 1: so 877-99 on Fox. And I am dead serious. I
- 15:05Speaker 1: do not care what it is that you want to
- 15:09Speaker 1: talk about. It could be sports. It could be outside
- 15:12Speaker 1: of sports. It could be just to say, well, I
- 15:15Speaker 1: don't care.
- 15:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:17Speaker 3: But I crawl through.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Three hours of lonely podcasting to get to live interaction
- 15:23Speaker 1: with human beings. And that's what I would like this
- 15:26Speaker 1: show to be.
- 15:27Speaker 3: So 877-99 on Fox. That is 877-99 on Fox.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Now, Mikey is convinced because we're not on Sirius XM
- 15:35Speaker 1: that we are incapable of getting callers. I, however, I
- 15:38Speaker 1: believe in AM radio.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I do.
- 15:45Speaker 1: That was me choking on my own phlegm because I
- 15:46Speaker 1: made myself laugh. I believe in AM radio. I believe
- 15:50Speaker 1: in radio. I love radio. I got into this industry
- 15:53Speaker 1: to do.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Radio, live radio, to take calls. 877-99 on Fox.
- 16:00Speaker 1: So we have a new affiliate here, and I want
- 16:03Speaker 1: to bring on Dan Beyer because he is the ruler
- 16:05Speaker 1: of all Mount Rushmore's here. So, Dan, we have a
- 16:08Speaker 1: new affiliate. I'm not certain you're aware. It's Fox Sports
- 16:12Speaker 1: 1370 AM in Baltimore.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Welcome to the program. And please call. But, Dan, we
- 16:17Speaker 3: do this for all new affiliates here. I have a.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Definitive Mount Rushmore of athletes who played in the city
- 16:26Speaker 1: of Baltimore.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Okay? Okay. So this is just played. Played in a
- 16:31Speaker 3: Baltimore uniform? Played in a Baltimore uniform.
- 16:35Speaker 1: If I was going to do a Mount Rushmore of
- 16:37Speaker 1: athletes who were born in the city of Baltimore, it
- 16:39Speaker 1: would be easy.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Yes. Well, it would be Carmelo. It would be Phelps.
- 16:42Speaker 3: It would be Cal Ripken, which is funny. And it
- 16:45Speaker 3: would be Babe Ruth, right?
- 16:47Speaker 5: Yes.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Okay. Because, you know, the B in Babe stands for Baltimore.
- 16:52Speaker 3: And you can't spell Baltimore without the B-A in Babe Ruth.
- 16:57Speaker 1: But I have what I believe to be– now it's–
- 17:01Speaker 1: you're probably going to question it. And just so the
- 17:03Speaker 1: audience in Baltimore knows, and I apologize to the other
- 17:06Speaker 1: 254 stations that we're on right now. We're talking Baltimore sports.
- 17:11Speaker 1: But I think this is definitive, although I have a feeling–
- 17:14Speaker 1: that the people of Baltimore are going to disagree. And
- 17:17Speaker 1: I have a feeling that Dan is going to disagree.
- 17:20Speaker 1: We do a Mount Rushmore Monday every single Monday. We
- 17:22Speaker 1: skipped it this week. I was observing the Jewish holidays here. So, Dan,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I'm going to give it to you, and I want
- 17:29Speaker 1: to get your thoughts on this.
- 17:30Speaker 3: All right. Oh, I appreciate the music. In no particular order.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Cal Ripken Jr. Ray Lewis Jr. Ed Reed. And this
- 17:47Speaker 3: is where it gets dicey. Joe Flacco. Yes, I left
- 17:54Speaker 3: off Lamar Jackson. Yes, I left off Johnny Unitas.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yes, as Bordot Ricardo has said in my ear, I
- 18:01Speaker 1: left off Brooks Robinson because he loves all things baseball.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Dan, how do you feel about this?
- 18:06Speaker 6: Well, Stu, I wrote my own out when I knew
- 18:08Speaker 6: that you were going to do this, and I wanted
- 18:10Speaker 6: to see how many we matched. We matched two. We
- 18:14Speaker 6: matched two. We matched Cal Ripken Jr., and we matched
- 18:20Speaker 6: Ray Lewis. We did not match Ed Reed. We did
- 18:25Speaker 6: not match Joe Flacco, because I had Brooks Robinson.
- 18:30Speaker 3: And I had Johnny Unitas.
- 18:33Speaker 6: This may be the old school in me, but if
- 18:35Speaker 6: we're talking Baltimore, I am going to have a Baltimore
- 18:38Speaker 6: Colt on that list.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I think the interesting thing for both of us is
- 18:43Speaker 3: we both left Lamar Jackson off our Mount Rushmore. At
- 18:46Speaker 3: least Flacco's got a ring. Lewis has got two of them.
- 18:50Speaker 3: You're 100% correct.
- 18:52Speaker 1: But, Dan, if I asked you, hey, if I lined
- 18:55Speaker 1: him up, Lamar Jackson, OK, Johnny Unitas and Joe Flacco.
- 19:01Speaker 3: And you're running Baltimore. You're running the Ravens.
- 19:04Speaker 1: And I say you have to sprint to one of
- 19:06Speaker 1: those three quarterbacks and he'll be your quarterback.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Which quarterback are you sprinting to? Probably Lamar Jackson. Back
- 19:13Speaker 3: after this.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Reese Davis is going to join us in about 15 minutes.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Looking forward to that. We have a game of more
- 19:30Speaker 1: Mike Lee coming up later this hour. But right now,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I have phone calls.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I win.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I took a screenshot of this board I sent to
- 19:36Speaker 1: the Mikey A.
- 19:37Speaker 3: And Taylor. And I said, it's all in the messaging.
- 19:39Speaker 1: You guys lose. 877-99 on Fox. That is 877-99 on Fox.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I am telling you right now, I could do this
- 19:48Speaker 1: every day, all day. If you guys promise to me
- 19:52Speaker 1: that at 3 o'clock and from 3 to 5, I
- 19:55Speaker 1: could sit back and take calls and do what I
- 19:57Speaker 1: wanted to do when I came back to sports radio,
- 19:59Speaker 1: I will never play a tape thing again.
- 20:01Speaker 3: How about that? Let's go to Nate, who's at Johnson
- 20:04Speaker 3: City today. Nate, go ahead. You're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 20:09Speaker 3: How's it going today? How's he doing?
- 20:12Speaker 5: My worst fear right now, I'm a big Yankees fan.
- 20:16Speaker 5: The Yankees win the World Series without Judge.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Why is that a fear of yours if you're a Yankee? Nate,
- 20:21Speaker 3: hold on a second.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Why are you fearful of that? Because if you win
- 20:25Speaker 1: a World Series, you win a World Series.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Who cares who plays? That's the only ring that Judge
- 20:28Speaker 3: gets in his whole career. And that's how people view him. Well,
- 20:31Speaker 3: he wasn't even in the lineup for that one.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yes, but why are you so concerned about Aaron Judge
- 20:36Speaker 1: and not nearly as concerned about your New York Yankees?
- 20:39Speaker 3: I mean, who cares? I don't know. I'm just a
- 20:45Speaker 3: big Judge fan. I hate to see the captain not
- 20:47Speaker 3: in the lineup if they win it. Yes, you're putting
- 20:50Speaker 3: the cart before the horse.
- 20:51Speaker 1: So what you're saying is you don't want the Yankees
- 20:53Speaker 1: to win a World Series without Aaron Judge because it's
- 20:55Speaker 1: going to tarnish his reputation, right, his legacy? Oh. What
- 21:05Speaker 1: if I tell you that Judge isn't going to play
- 21:07Speaker 1: and this is the last World Series you're ever going
- 21:09Speaker 1: to win?
- 21:10Speaker 3: You would take the World Series, of course. In my lifetime, yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 3: I'd take that then. Thank you for the call, Nate.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I appreciate it. Let's go to Joe, who's in Dayton, Ohio, today. Joe,
- 21:20Speaker 3: go ahead. You're on Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Dugas? Man,
- 21:24Speaker 3: I'm just calling in to get some vibe checks at
- 21:26Speaker 3: the league bowling night, you know, the beer league with
- 21:28Speaker 3: the buddies. I've been doing it a long time. Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 3: have you done it?
- 21:33Speaker 1: I've never done it, and I mock Mikey A for
- 21:36Speaker 1: doing it. That's great.
- 21:38Speaker 5: No, that's great.
- 21:39Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Our team names come on, man.
- 21:42Speaker 3: We put names in the hat. Come on, man, is
- 21:45Speaker 3: our team name. I'll leave you with a question.
- 21:48Speaker 5: If you did, by chance, have.
- 21:50Speaker 3: A bowling beer league night, what would you call it?
- 21:53Speaker 3: What's your team name? I have no idea, God. Ang.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Thank you for the call. How about that?
- 22:02Speaker 2: All right, bud.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Yeah. All right. Thank you.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:05Speaker 3: How about that would be the name of my team?
- 22:06Speaker 3: How about that? How about that? How about that?
- 22:10Speaker 1: I'm a terrible bowler. I am awful at bowling. I
- 22:13Speaker 1: am not very good. I mock people who take bowling
- 22:15Speaker 1: too seriously.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I get the leagues. I'm married, too.
- 22:18Speaker 1: And when you're married and you have kids, man, you
- 22:20Speaker 1: will create any sort of league, even with sports that
- 22:23Speaker 1: you don't like, just to get away from them. So
- 22:26Speaker 1: I get it. I just never got into bowling. Golf
- 22:29Speaker 1: was kind of my vice to get away from the family.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Sounds terrible. Sorry. Love you, kids.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Let's go to Derek, who's in Sharon, Iowa today. Derek,
- 22:38Speaker 1: go ahead. You're on Fox Sports Radio. Look at all
- 22:41Speaker 1: these calls. It's very nice to meet all of you.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Go ahead, Derek.
- 22:45Speaker 5: It's a pleasure to be on with the legends, two gods.
- 22:49Speaker 5: First of all, I want to talk about my boy,
- 22:51Speaker 5: Brock Purdy, who graduated from the greatest team ever, Iowa
- 22:54Speaker 5: State Sackalows. He's not even old enough to shave, and
- 22:59Speaker 5: he's tearing apart defenses. And second, my Cubs, I don't
- 23:05Speaker 5: give a damn about PCA's 40-40. You got to get
- 23:11Speaker 5: to playoffs first, and we have no pitching, so we suck,
- 23:14Speaker 5: and Rick and boys don't spend no money.
- 23:16Speaker 3: All right, you should care about PCA. He's the MVP
- 23:20Speaker 3: of the National League.
- 23:21Speaker 1: He's probably the best player in baseball outside of Shohei Ohtani.
- 23:25Speaker 1: And thank you for the call. You should care about it.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And I think the Cubs are good enough. Baseball is
- 23:30Speaker 1: so random, man. That guy was talking about Aaron Judge
- 23:33Speaker 1: and the Yankees winning a World Series without him. I'm
- 23:35Speaker 1: not going to be surprised if the Yankees win a
- 23:37Speaker 1: World Series without Aaron Judge. The Marlins won a World Series,
- 23:39Speaker 1: and they did it twice as a wild card team.
- 23:43Speaker 1: And now Ricardo's mad at me because that feels like
- 23:45Speaker 1: I'm mocking the Marlins a little. But if they could
- 23:46Speaker 1: do it, literally, once you get to the postseason in baseball,
- 23:50Speaker 1: any team has a shot at winning it. Let's go
- 23:53Speaker 1: to Joe. who's in West Virginia today.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Quickly, go ahead, Joe.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Overrated, underrated, properly rated, Big 12 football.
- 24:04Speaker 3: And if you could ask Reeves what he thinks about
- 24:07Speaker 3: the West Virginia Mountaineers. Okay, I won't ask him about
- 24:10Speaker 3: the West Virginia Mountaineers. And Big 12 football, it's overrated.
- 24:17Speaker 1: It's not something that I think is really on most
- 24:19Speaker 1: people's radars. Our thanks to Rhys Davis. We love having
- 24:22Speaker 1: him on. Taylor's been glowing since he asked the question.
- 24:25Speaker 1: The only question that got Rhys Davis excited. How'd you
- 24:27Speaker 1: feel about that one, Taylor?
- 24:29Speaker 4: I felt great because it's such a great question. Faison
- 24:32Speaker 4: Brandon's name sounds backwards.
- 24:33Speaker 3: You wanted me to ask it and I waved you
- 24:35Speaker 3: off and then you asked it and you got the
- 24:36Speaker 3: best reaction of the entire interview. He's proud of himself.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Also, before we got started, we were talking to Rhys
- 24:42Speaker 4: Davis off camera about some of the jerseys that he had.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 24:45Speaker 3: And I.
- 24:46Speaker 4: I tepidly threw out, Reese, I'll send you a Carolina one.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 4: He kind of sounded interested in adding it to his collection.
- 24:52Speaker 1: He did until I told him it was hanging next
- 24:54Speaker 1: to a bathroom in Chapel Hill.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 4: He was like, so when did you play? And I
- 24:58Speaker 4: was like, well, I more so practiced.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I actually said that.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Just peel back the curtain for a second. When Reese
- 25:07Speaker 1: said during that interview, Taylor, you played, I said into
- 25:10Speaker 1: Taylor's headset, more like practiced.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I'm a jerk.
- 25:16Speaker 4: They were so close to coming to Chapel Hill for
- 25:19Speaker 4: College Game Day if North Carolina just held on to
- 25:21Speaker 4: that win against Clemson. Notre Dame, North Carolina, Bill Belichick,
- 25:25Speaker 4: Marcus Freeman.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Reese Davis, so you know, has jerseys in the office
- 25:29Speaker 3: that he was doing the interview from of all the
- 25:32Speaker 3: people he's worked with at ESPN. And I am telling you,
- 25:35Speaker 3: I'm reporting this exclusively, okay? that Jay Billis was upset
- 25:40Speaker 3: that his jersey wasn't up there, and so he went
- 25:42Speaker 3: over to Reese's house, and he hung that jersey himself.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And now he's upset at Reese Davis because it's not
- 25:48Speaker 1: the center jersey. It's not the jersey in the center
- 25:52Speaker 1: of all the other jerseys on Reese's wall behind him
- 25:56Speaker 1: in that office. I am telling you right now, he
- 25:59Speaker 1: did not have a Billis jersey. Billis got upset. Billis
- 26:02Speaker 1: went to his house with the jersey.
- 26:04Speaker 3: And he hung it up. How about that?
- 26:06Speaker 4: That wall, though, was a who's who. Desmond Howard and
- 26:09Speaker 4: Mark May.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Oh, gee. I didn't see a Herbstreet jersey. Did you?
- 26:15Speaker 4: No, actually, I didn't see a Herbstreet.
- 26:17Speaker 3: And I thought for sure there would be a Corso jersey. No?
- 26:20Speaker 4: Good point.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Well, maybe there is. We just didn't see it. Bill
- 26:23Speaker 3: has moved it over. That's what happened.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Anyway, I know it's an odd time to play more
- 26:27Speaker 1: Mike Lee with you because Mikey's not here and he
- 26:30Speaker 1: hosts the game and usually.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Asks the questions.
- 26:32Speaker 1: But I do have a six-pack of more Mike Lees
- 26:34Speaker 1: for you.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Are you interested?
- 26:36Speaker 4: Crack them open.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Let's do it. All right, Taylor. Six pack of questions.
- 26:48Speaker 3: The 2-0 Texans. Which is more Mike Lee. I'm sorry.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I'm not the host of the game. The 0-2 Texans.
- 26:55Speaker 3: The 0-2 Texans or the 2-0 Raiders. Who was more
- 26:59Speaker 3: Mike Lee to make the playoffs this season?
- 27:03Speaker 4: This one is easy.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Really? Yeah.
- 27:05Speaker 4: The Texans play in the AFC South, and that AFC
- 27:09Speaker 4: South is dreadful. Your options basically come down to a
- 27:13Speaker 4: depleted Colts team that's banking on Daniel Jones coming off
- 27:16Speaker 4: an Achilles injury, Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars. and
- 27:21Speaker 4: Robert Sala and Cam Ward in Tennessee. I think Houston
- 27:26Speaker 4: has the defense that they could fix more things and
- 27:30Speaker 4: find themselves back into playoff contention. AFC West is a
- 27:33Speaker 4: gauntlet between the Broncos and the Chiefs.
- 27:35Speaker 3: All right. More Mike Lee. Does Sean Watson start the
- 27:39Speaker 3: remainder of his games, or Kirk Cousins start the remainder
- 27:43Speaker 3: of his? Wow. That's a good question.
- 27:48Speaker 4: I think it's more Mike Lee that Kirk Cousins starts
- 27:52Speaker 4: the rest of his games.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Taylor, he's playing well. Kirk Cousins is playing very well.
- 27:56Speaker 4: He's playing well, and there doesn't seem to be the
- 28:00Speaker 4: sense of urgency from Kubiak in Vegas to throw Fernando Mendoza.
- 28:05Speaker 4: into game reps when he might not be ready for
- 28:08Speaker 4: the game reps. That's why you go out and get
- 28:10Speaker 4: somebody like Kirk Cousins. Also, I'm choosing more Mike Lee
- 28:13Speaker 4: for Kirk Cousins because I am actively rooting against Deshaun
- 28:17Speaker 4: Watson every time he steps onto a football field. I
- 28:20Speaker 4: think the sooner he's out of the NFL, the better.
- 28:23Speaker 4: So for me personally, give me Kirk Cousins over Deshaun.
- 28:28Speaker 4: You couldn't have two different personalities between Kirk Cousins and
- 28:31Speaker 4: Deshaun Watson, who everything that happens to Deshaun Watson, it's
- 28:34Speaker 4: somehow somebody else's fault.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I just want people to think how bad Shador Sanders
- 28:38Speaker 1: must be if Deshaun Watson is still starting for the Browns.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I hate saying that about Shador.
- 28:43Speaker 3: I'm not with him.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Listen, I liked him last year when I saw him play.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I saw something. I saw a spark.
- 28:51Speaker 4: I could also talk myself into Talon Green. They're like
- 28:53Speaker 4: fourth string backup quarterback from Arkansas. Man, 6'6, 230.
- 28:58Speaker 3: He looks the part.
- 28:59Speaker 4: He looks the part.
- 29:00Speaker 3: No doubt.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I think we answered this in hour number one, but
- 29:03Speaker 1: the Giant, more Mike Lee, the Giants using their first
- 29:06Speaker 1: round pick on a quarterback or the Commanders using their
- 29:09Speaker 1: first round.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Pick on a quarterback? Wow. It's a tough one. You
- 29:14Speaker 3: have to have concerns about both of them.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I know Jaden's going to be back this year, but
- 29:17Speaker 1: he's constantly getting injured.
- 29:19Speaker 3: He is.
- 29:19Speaker 4: And the injury with Jaden Daniels seems to be a
- 29:22Speaker 4: repeat thing where every time he tries to brace himself
- 29:26Speaker 4: for impact, now you have to be worried about that
- 29:28Speaker 4: elbow dislocating in the future. That being said, I think
- 29:32Speaker 4: you're more worried about a knee injury than an injury
- 29:35Speaker 4: to your off-throwing hand. So that's why I think it's
- 29:38Speaker 4: more likely the Giants.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Would use it. there. I agree. All right, more likely
- 29:42Speaker 3: Patrick Mahomes wins MVP or Comeback Player of the Year
- 29:48Speaker 3: or both.
- 29:52Speaker 4: I think it's more likely he wins Comeback Player of
- 29:54Speaker 4: the Year. I think I'll call it right now. I
- 29:57Speaker 4: think the Comeback Player of the Year, it's over. I
- 29:59Speaker 4: think it's Patrick Mahomes' award to lose at this point,
- 30:03Speaker 4: where you're looking at who else it could be. Kyler Murray.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Kyler Murray's already out again. Micah Parsons is still not back.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Still out, yes.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Daniel Jones. Malik Nabors.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:16Speaker 4: There's not too many options. And then the MVP conversation.
- 30:19Speaker 4: I think Mahomes could play his way into the MVP conversation,
- 30:22Speaker 4: but that at this point... Feels like the way that
- 30:26Speaker 4: the comeback player of the year is Mahomes' award to lose,
- 30:29Speaker 4: the MVP through two weeks, Josh Allen's award to lose.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yes, Josh Allen, he might be the best quarterback in football.
- 30:38Speaker 4: A September tradition unlike any other. Everybody convincing themselves, Josh Allen.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Is revolutionary.
- 30:44Speaker 3: We do it every September, and then every December we
- 30:46Speaker 3: start to question him. But before he's had McDermott.
- 30:51Speaker 4: And that's what we're convinced the difference is this time.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Are we sure, though? I mean.
- 30:56Speaker 4: I don't really trust Joe Brady. He doesn't look like
- 30:58Speaker 4: a head coach.
- 30:59Speaker 3: You're right.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I was thinking that. He looks like Josh Allen's friend.
- 31:04Speaker 1: He does not look like a head coach. He is
- 31:06Speaker 1: not what I want my head coach to look like.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Where's the music?
- 31:09Speaker 1: Oh. Taylor, I am so glad that you said that.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I saw him on the sidelines last week. I'm like, eh,
- 31:18Speaker 1: not impressive. I want my coach to have a chin.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Put it on the poll.
- 31:26Speaker 4: He didn't have a chin?
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but not one that was pronounced.
- 31:31Speaker 4: I feel like his outfits are a bit too casual, too,
- 31:33Speaker 4: on the sidelines.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Put it on the poll, Taylor. Do you want your
- 31:36Speaker 3: coach to have a chin? Yeah. Who is the coach
- 31:40Speaker 3: just based on physical appearance you would most want? Just
- 31:43Speaker 3: on physical appearance. Dan Campbell?
- 31:46Speaker 4: I think it's Dan Campbell. Like, you have to almost do, like,
- 31:49Speaker 4: think of a college football game. Like, who would you
- 31:52Speaker 4: want getting off the bus first when that bus pulls
- 31:54Speaker 4: into a campus?
- 31:55Speaker 3: He's pretty good.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Dan Campbell is, like, a first off the bus guy.
- 31:58Speaker 3: D'Amico Ryans is pretty good, too, though.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Yeah, and Robert Sala. I still think about seeing Robert
- 32:03Speaker 4: Sala in Tahoe.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Yes, I mean, oh, God. He was on the range
- 32:06Speaker 3: with his kid. They were having a blast. Glistening. We
- 32:09Speaker 3: should probably tell people that when I asked Solomon to
- 32:13Speaker 3: come on the show, and he did, and he was great,
- 32:15Speaker 3: and I love him, that I told him we were
- 32:17Speaker 3: the biggest thing going in Tennessee.
- 32:20Speaker 4: The number one show in Nashville.
- 32:21Speaker 3: That's how I sold him into it.
- 32:23Speaker 4: He goes, wow.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I'm not even certain we're on in Nashville.
- 32:25Speaker 4: I think he gave us a congratulations.
- 32:26Speaker 3: He did. I'm not even certain we're on in Nashville.
- 32:31Speaker 3: But you know where we're on? 1370 AM in Baltimore. Oh, that.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Welcome. Welcome. Anyway, I got some more Mike Lees for you.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Two more, Taylor. You ready? Yep. I'm going to put
- 32:45Speaker 3: my glasses back on because I'm getting old. More Mike Lee.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Mississippi losing to Florida this weekend or Texas losing to Tennessee?
- 33:00Speaker 3: Great weekend.
- 33:01Speaker 4: This is a good one.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:03Speaker 4: My gut is telling me it's more Mike Lee- that
- 33:09Speaker 4: Texas loses, because Texas feels like a team that you
- 33:12Speaker 4: could catch them sleeping. Nalen Stadium, where Tennessee plays, they
- 33:18Speaker 4: pack it. It's 100,000-plus people. They actually asked John Summerwell,
- 33:22Speaker 4: the Gators coach, about being favorite.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I like that guy. He looks like a coach.
- 33:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 4: He said when asked about being favorites over Ole Miss,
- 33:29Speaker 4: he said, a lot of good drugs out there. So
- 33:34Speaker 4: for that reason alone– He doesn't really give off too
- 33:38Speaker 4: much confidence now. I think he's downplaying it a bit.
- 33:40Speaker 4: But Trinidad Chambliss is coming to the swamp. And right now,
- 33:44Speaker 4: with what I saw Trinidad Chambliss do to an LSU
- 33:47Speaker 4: defense that looked pretty good against Clemson, I'm going to
- 33:50Speaker 4: back Trinidad.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Reese Davis just told us flatly that he thinks Florida
- 33:54Speaker 3: is going to win that game.
- 33:55Speaker 1: He did say that Tennessee had a chance. He said
- 33:57Speaker 1: Florida would win, right?
- 33:59Speaker 3: I'm going to take the Gators. I think it's more
- 34:01Speaker 3: likely that the Gators beat– letdown spot. I mean, it is–
- 34:06Speaker 3: We saw the best game of the college football season already.
- 34:09Speaker 3: We'll never have better storylines than that.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Not even the national championship game will have better storylines
- 34:15Speaker 1: than that. All right, last one for you, Taylor. More
- 34:18Speaker 1: Mike Lee to make the college football playoff. Ohio State
- 34:22Speaker 1: or Michigan?
- 34:26Speaker 3: I think this one is an easy one. Because you
- 34:28Speaker 3: think Ohio State's going to beat Michigan when they play? Yeah, yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Because Michigan's undefeated. Ohio State is not.
- 34:33Speaker 4: From what I've seen from Michigan through their first couple
- 34:37Speaker 4: of weeks, I think Kyle Whittingham has a lot bigger
- 34:40Speaker 4: rebuild on his hand than he might have thought when
- 34:44Speaker 4: he initially got to Ann Arbor. And I think Ryan
- 34:47Speaker 4: Day has... Ryan day has been stockpiling talent at Ohio
- 34:52Speaker 4: state now for like five, six years to where I, I, yes,
- 34:57Speaker 4: they had the embarrassing collapse on the road to Texas,
- 35:00Speaker 4: but I think the committee will be pretty forgiving with
- 35:03Speaker 4: that loss.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 35:04Speaker 4: And then I think, I think Ohio state's a team
- 35:06Speaker 4: that could probably skate by the remaining of the remainder
- 35:09Speaker 4: of their schedule.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Uh, Ohio state was more impressive losing that game. The
- 35:13Speaker 1: Michigan was winning their week one game.
- 35:15Speaker 3: It's essentially what you're saying.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Uh, A great loss is better than a bad win.
- 35:20Speaker 3: It was a bad win. That probably shouldn't count as
- 35:22Speaker 3: a win. Put it on the polls. A great loss
- 35:24Speaker 3: is better than a bad win.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Especially when that win shouldn't have been a win.
- 35:33Speaker 3: I have a bonus one for you. Last one. I'm sorry.
- 35:36Speaker 3: A seven pack. More Mike Lee music. Thank you. More
- 35:41Speaker 3: Mike Lee. Bill Belichick getting fired at the end of
- 35:46Speaker 3: the season. We're Aaron Glenn.
- 35:51Speaker 4: I think it's over for both of them.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Really? But who's more likely to keep their job?
- 35:57Speaker 4: I think it's more likely Aaron Glenn keeps his job
- 36:00Speaker 4: because when you look around New York and you look
- 36:02Speaker 4: around what's happening in East Rutherford and on One Jets Drive,
- 36:07Speaker 4: what I haven't noticed is any scandals. And then when
- 36:09Speaker 4: you look at Chapel Hill, it's scandals left and right.
- 36:12Speaker 4: The GM's gone. The defensive coordinator's gone. The offensive coordinator
- 36:16Speaker 4: he brought in last year is gone. It feels like
- 36:18Speaker 4: right now... In North Carolina, we're just chopping off one
- 36:22Speaker 4: person by one person, and we're very closely getting towards
- 36:26Speaker 4: the head of the snake.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Well said. You're proud of yourself. Look at you, smiling.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Landed that dismount.
- 36:32Speaker 3: You really did. Put it on the poll. Is Jets
- 36:36Speaker 3: Drive the saddest road in America? We'll talk to you
- 36:40Speaker 3: guys tomorrow.
