Reflection
A parent does not spend time, effort, and energy disciplining or training the neighbor’s child down the street. A parent trains their own child because they love them, claim them, and are deeply invested in their future. The Jewish believers listening to Hebrews knew Proverbs 3 by heart. They sang it in their synagogues, but in the heat of trial, they lost sight of its core truth: hardship in the hands of God is proof of adoption…
