- 7:06[SPEAKER_28]: And you know, I was talking to somebody else about our own little hydro plant there and everybody talks about the ending contract.

- 7:26[SPEAKER_28]: River rights groups and other environmental groups.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_28]: I think a lot of these interveners can get involved in this stuff and really, uh, cause a lot of problems.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_28]: So we don't know what's going to happen there.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_28]: Meanwhile, faith, hope and charity keep turning.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_28]: Keep in turn.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_28]: Because it's the only thing keep it as going here.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_28]: You're right.

- 7:49[SPEAKER_28]: There's a lot of news stories around the state about the e-bikes and all of that stuff.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_28]: It's a lot of discussion on that in various cities, not just water town, various cities.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_28]: People concerned about it.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_28]: People wondering, a lot of them, if they're under twenty, if they have a maximum speed of under twenty eight miles an hour, I understand you don't have to have them licensed or anything.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_28]: But a lot of them actually go more than that or are altered to go more than that.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_28]: So, you know,
- 8:17[SPEAKER_28]: There's a lot of them out there, but they are definitely inexpensive transportation.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_28]: Probably the cost.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_28]: Well, depends.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_28]: If you buy one, they might be fifteen hundred and two thousand.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_28]: The best thing to do, maybe it's a steel one, right?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_28]: A lot of people do that stuff nowadays.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_28]: Somebody stole a motorcycle yesterday, right?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_28]: And they read that on news junkie, the window on the world there.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_28]: He says that something.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_28]: Homeless man stole motorcycle from Mill Street parking lot.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_28]: Every day, it's something, isn't it?
- 8:54[SPEAKER_28]: Every day.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_28]: Oh, let's see.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_28]: This guy is thirty-one.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_28]: He stole a two thousand fifteen Kawasaki Ninja Ninja bike, allegedly from Napa Auto parts, on Mill Street.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_28]: Huh.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_28]: I think I must have left the key in it or something, I don't know, but he just took it.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_28]: You wanted it?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_28]: He took it.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_28]: There you go.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_28]: He did get arrested, uh, on West Main Street.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_28]: Well, here's a, um, superior street man accused of, uh, striking somebody in the head where they plastic lock sheet holder causing the man to sustain a laceration.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_17]: Wow.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_28]: Well, here's somebody accused of breaking a hundred and sixty-dollar necklace and license plate cover with a combined value of that during a domestic dispute.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_28]: You know, rather than call the cops, just walk away.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_28]: Nobody cares about your license plate, hold cover or anything else or your necklace.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, here's somebody else charged with the Syracuse man, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_28]: Oh.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_28]: All sorts out of them.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_28]: That's a sweet go count.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_28]: So those are the crime things that are going on.
- 10:30[UNKNOWN]: Mm-hmm.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_28]: You know, I was talking to a retired city cop this morning and he was going to be out of it all and man, he had some stories to tell.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_28]: Just about the way things are run.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_28]: Like good cops out there don't get me wrong.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_28]: Here we got somebody who sits a lieutenant or sits in an office all day and gets paid a hundred and twenty thousand.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, doesn't basically nothing.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_28]: There's a lot of overhead in city government.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_28]: Now there is a lot of government.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_28]: I mean, you know, nobody had there's no scrutiny for big blubber reagencies like dank or that, but you know, we deal with city government a lot here and there's there's a lot more overhead and top ends stuff and you think there is.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_28]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Good afternoon, Mayor, how are you today?
- 11:19[SPEAKER_28]: Good, what's up?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: You're talking about electric mics.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: I heard on the radio.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think the circuit is not sure.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: that some guy had an extra bike and he stopped at a convenient store to rob the convenient store.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: And while he was robbing the store, somebody stole his electric bike.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: They left no sign.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was kind of humorous.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_28]: Well, there's some rough dress to say, I guess.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he had me say it.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I found one of the guy.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_28]: All right.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_28]: Thanks a lot.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_28]: Bye.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_28]: Good afternoon, Ronnier.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_29]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_29]: I applaud your effort to read the least water on the air.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_29]: I know it's largely stuff to have to read about, but I think it's important that the public at large realizes how much bad stuff is going on in this area.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_29]: It's all about bad people doing bad things.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_29]: And the population of water town is going down, but the amount of crime and bad things is going up.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_29]: The water town police department is busy, twenty-four, seven, all year long, dealing with
- 12:28[SPEAKER_29]: Idiots.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_29]: I think it's good that you read that on the air and bring it to the forefront as to how much lousy stuff is going on and it's not getting better and keep up the good work I'll see you on the radio next week.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_28]: All right, thank you.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_28]: Well, I think there's a point there.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_28]: It does seem like there's a lot of this although I don't know this.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_28]: He's kind of things have gone on forever.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_28]: Um, you know, it's just unfortunately part of the line of work and all of that.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_28]: But anyway, um, if you have anything you want to talk about, give us a call, you know, I tuned in.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_28]: I thought maybe there'd be some local news today and lead story.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_28]: Oh, Diane, I'll tap Epstein, the Epstein files.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_28]: Diane, because you're fascinated with it doesn't mean, and you're never Trump or doesn't mean the rest of us are put some local news at the top of the newscast.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_28]: I'm telling you, it's all Epstein.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_28]: That's all they love them.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_28]: It's interesting.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know what to say about it.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_28]: People want to talk about it all day.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_28]: But I don't know what there is to say about it, really.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_28]: Others in suddenly were obsessed with it or the Democrats are.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_28]: What is it that we need to know that we don't already know?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_28]: And what's the Maxwell woman going to say to us?
- 14:05[SPEAKER_28]: Nothing.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_28]: Nothing.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_28]: All of this was years ago.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_28]: But they say, well, it's the standards.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_28]: And I'm media calls at the Epstein scandal.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_28]: What's the scandal?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_28]: A guy was arrested.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_28]: He was in jail.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_28]: He killed himself.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_28]: Now we don't like to think that somebody often, but apparently he killed himself.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_28]: And the accomplice, the girlfriend, was convicted and sentenced to twenty years.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_28]: What is it that people want?
- 14:45[SPEAKER_28]: Or one justice, justice through who?
- 14:48[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_28]: I just want justice.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_28]: It seems to me otherwise justice.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_28]: The main perpetrator is dead and the accomplices in prison.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_28]: Well, isn't that justice?
- 15:04[SPEAKER_28]: No, I want more.
- 15:06[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_28]: You want Trump?
- 15:11[SPEAKER_28]: That's what you want.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_28]: Williamson died at unthwarting him.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_28]: Stop.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_28]: Stop with this stuff.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_28]: You know, the Democrats are still obsessed with Trump.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_28]: He's going to be out of office.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_28]: He can't run again.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, you can make his remaining time there difficult, but what purpose?
- 15:30[SPEAKER_28]: How is the nation's interest served by that?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_28]: I don't get it.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_28]: We'll get a here at ten minutes to one.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_28]: Somebody's screaming about this and that.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_28]: And somebody, you know, I don't want to hear it.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_28]: Good afternoon, Ron.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I think an afternoon is a simple question.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_03]: Who cares about the next thing?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: The question is, why does the assistant attorney general meeting with her for the second day down in Florida?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: What is the object of that meeting with her?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's the question.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what the public needs to know because it involves the number two man of the assistant attorney's general, which is name of the guy's name.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_28]: Blanch, you know, something like that.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, talk about.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_03]: Well, what's his purpose?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: What's his sole purpose to meet her now?
- 16:23[SPEAKER_03]: She's already convicted.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: She's serving the twenty years.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_03]: So, that that's the question, Jeff.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: And if it's not, it's not a, it's not a lack of a day to go fly by night thing.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very critical day.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_03]: And massive legal experts are talking about this all over the news.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: What's his purpose of meeting with her today?
- 16:42[SPEAKER_03]: The second day, maybe we'll meet with her again tomorrow the third day.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: But that's the question.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: And it's a critical
- 16:49[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, well, maybe he likes her.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't want to get into that.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: She likes, she likes a little quality of girls to get served a minute or less.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_28]: Well, we don't know what she did.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we don't.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: We know where she was convicted of underage girls underage would be probably under the age of the sixteen.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_17]: Down.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they have some interviews on them as the BC, the actual victims.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_03]: Two or three victims.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it was a great show if he didn't say it.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_28]: But she was convicted and she sentenced to twenty years in prison.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_28]: Isn't I don't know what more do you want?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_03]: Why is the assistant attorney general of the United States meeting with her now?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_03]: That's the key question.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's the purpose of the meeting with her.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_28]: Okay.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_28]: Well, if I run into him, I'll ask him.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_28]: Thank you.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_28]: All right.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_28]: Bye.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_28]: You're after the dinner on the air.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_03]: The attorney's meeting with her, or a man behind me, is clearly stated that there was no actual client list.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: If there is one, it probably remains with Maxwell.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: That's why he's down there meeting, trying to clean some information about anything she might know, because they don't have the so-called little black blood.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_03]: So that's why they're meeting with her, trying to clean some more dirt on or whether they can get it on.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_28]: Right.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's my opinion anyway.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, I think that's probably it.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_28]: Okay.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_28]: Thank you.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_28]: All right, seven, five, five, twelve, forty is the phone number.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_28]: If you'd like to give us a call to talk about anything you want, you can't.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_28]: You can do that.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_28]: Anything new at City Hall?
- 18:36[SPEAKER_28]: Well, yeah.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_28]: There was a letter.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_28]: Number we told you earlier in the week city attorney was going to write.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_28]: Cliff only a letter while he wrote.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_28]: She wrote a letter to the attorney general's office.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_28]: Tish we call it.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_28]: She likes to be called tish, but we call her attorney general James.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_28]: And the city's asking for an advisory opinion on councilman, all these requests for information.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_28]: All right, you got to read all these letters and things.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_28]: And it's kind of complicated, but
- 19:11[SPEAKER_28]: you know lawyers charged by the hour and also by the word so when you look at all of this stuff it's being prepared people say oh you're obsessed with only and he's not that important and why don't you just not talk because it's still going on Dr. Kimball the other night said he wants a hearing
- 19:32[SPEAKER_28]: I hearing with prosecutors and their fans and all of that.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_28]: He wants it.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_28]: He's going to introduce a resolution at the next council meeting.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_28]: Not Chef Graham saying it.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_28]: Dr. Kim Bull said it in open session.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_28]: So, and I'm reading over this letter because the city attorney Ms.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_28]: Smith, she had said, I don't call these people by their first name incident.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_28]: Like they do at council meetings, but she said that there'd be a letter coming out this week and true to reward, there is one.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_28]: to the appeals and opinions bureau.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_28]: Now, she contends, like, only wants to find out one thing he wants to find out is he's redacted billing records to the Harris Beach law firm, which was the then city attorney for nineteen thousand dollars that he says went towards the preparation of the ethics complaint against him.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_28]: reasonable question because I always look at I like all the people involved but I was mayor twenty years and generally speaking if you had a question for the lawyer ask him probably do it at the meeting or something so he's already there I'm very seldom to ever call him certainly never went out to lunch or dinner with him that I can recall
- 21:00[SPEAKER_28]: We did have a drink at the old black river valley club back in the day, but that was a long time ago.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_28]: I'm talking to a former council member yesterday who said that this Todd Bullard who is the city attorney at the time said, oh, if you're ever down in Rochester, look me up and we'll go out to lunch.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_28]: I have, I don't go out to lunch with these people.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_28]: You know, I just didn't, didn't see the point at it.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_28]: Anyway, this Todd Bullard was a city attorney prepared this ethics complaint.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_28]: And Mr. Olney says, what what are you doing?
- 21:39[SPEAKER_28]: Just that that was never a resolution from the council to instruct somebody to do that.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_28]: It was one individual.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_28]: I've never known of a situation on my experience where one individual can go and incur a nineteen thousand dollar legal bill against a council member they don't like.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_28]: That's a valid question.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_28]: Maybe there's an answer.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_28]: You can get it next Monday at five o'clock.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_28]: His former Mayor Smith is going to be on the live at five show.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_28]: I'll actually he'd ask him all those questions.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_28]: And I sent him a copy of this letter that was sent out to everybody this week that I happen to get a copy of because I'm, well, I'm not important, but I got a copy of it.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_28]: So, you know, he's read it over two.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_28]: So it's not something he isn't familiar with.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_28]: I think these are valid questions.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_28]: Now the attorney, the city attorney says that because, you know, all these contention that he has a right to a fiscal oversight as an elected official is sort of muted out by the fact that he's also been in legal action with the city of that case up in state Supreme Court that he lost.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_28]: She says there's tension between the simultaneous roles as an elected official and an adversary.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_28]: And she's looking to tish James.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_28]: Tish is office, I should say, to resolve all of this.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_28]: Now.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, here are the things that only wanted.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_28]: All communications, calendar entries, billing records, and internal memos, involving Kristen Smith Todd, Bullard, Jeffrey Smith, Sarah Compo, Pierce, and other representatives of the state police regarding that matter.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_28]: All unredacted invoices from Harris Beach and Todd Bullard related to the ethics complaint.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_28]: And he wants all internal or external legal memorandum generated or received by the city that discuss or authorized the withholding of invoices.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_28]: And that were issued by Hancock.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_28]: That was another law firm.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_28]: They got bullied.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_28]: You know, see people say, well, why do you talk about only so much?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_28]: Well, somebody has to follow it.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_28]: And it's difficult to follow all of it because there's so much paper and so many people involved.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_28]: But it's too complicated for the legacy media to really look into an extended basis.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_28]: And I don't blame them for that.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_28]: You know, given a choice between trying to make sense of all of these letters and running a network piece on Epstein, I probably run the Epstein piece too.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_28]: But somebody's got to talk about it, so I do it.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_28]: And those who don't like it, you shouldn't talk, then don't listen.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_28]: If I make comments on my blog about it, and you think it's too much, don't we?
- 24:41[SPEAKER_28]: My opinion doesn't go that far.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_28]: These people are going to spend all night say this letter that I was just talking about that went to the attorney general's office.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_28]: Probably cost a thousand dollars to craft it.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_28]: Put it together and send it out and all of that sent out by certified mail return receipt too.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_28]: So to all the all the people in the distribution chain,
- 25:09[SPEAKER_28]: included council members and others.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_28]: So there's a lot of money being spent.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_28]: We hear arguments over a lot less than this town.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_28]: And that's why I just got it.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_28]: And that's why I'll continue to.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_28]: And I hope I really hope that you use the tremendous opportunity next week.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_28]: to talk to the former mayor about it because there's so many questions out there and he's got, he's got answers.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_28]: I'm not blind sighting him.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_28]: That's why I sent him his letter so he could read it.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_28]: So he would know what the topic is.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_28]: I'm sure it'll come up next week.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_28]: All right.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_28]: Enough of that, right?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_28]: Now let's get back to Epstein.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_28]: Now, oh, here's a report.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_28]: It is on TV.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_28]: Generation C does not say hi when answering the phone.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_28]: What do they say?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_28]: Nothing.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_28]: There's a lot of things that Gen Z does differently.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_28]: One of them socializing.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_28]: You know, used to be before the were cell phones, dating apps, internet, or all of that.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_28]: You just had to go out and try to meet people.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_28]: Maybe it would be the church function.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_28]: Could be it a bar or nightclub.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_28]: That's all gone now, everything now is you hook up via apps and do your thing and then move, you know, move on.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_28]: It's a different world.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_28]: So now, of course, a lot of problems now with the problem, you pick up the phone and you wait in their silence because that means a robot call that means you should hang up.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, I guess Jen Zied doesn't say hi when they answer the phone.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_28]: They're waiting for someone else to say something.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know if that's some kind of great social trend or not.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_28]: I don't really know.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_28]: Don't really know.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_28]: Alrighty, now I did mention electric bikes earlier.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_28]: There's a couple of articles on news junkie about it.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_28]: Some communities are trying to crack down on it or do something and all of that.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_28]: I know it's been raised a couple of times.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_28]: Not so much.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_28]: No, it's just been raised on the air.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_28]: I mean, that there are hazard that they're this, they're that the other thing.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know if they are not.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_28]: Seven, five, five, twelve, four years of phone number.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_28]: If you'd like to give us a call, there was a fatal motorcycle accident on the town of Rutland.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_28]: No, that's too bad.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_28]: Sheriff's deputies investigated personal injury on the
- 27:58[SPEAKER_28]: a forty-four-year-old Ronald England of Kelsey of New York Hills.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_28]: He jacketed from the motorcycle and located several feet away.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_28]: It's too bad.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_28]: It is can be dangerous.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_28]: There's no doubt about it.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_28]: So we careful out there.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_28]: We've had a lot of accidents, fires, and drownings in this month of July.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_28]: A lot more than normal.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_28]: I think.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_28]: Good afternoon here on the air.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_03]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_28]: How are you doing?
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: Good.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_03]: By any chance of you had a chance to get up to Virville power and see the chainsaw carving contest going on up there.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_28]: No, but I heard about it.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, Virville power sports in Virville on route twelve.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_28]: They've got chainsaw carving.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_28]: It's kind of an interesting hobby.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_03]: I've been up there a couple of times and going down again.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: What these people can do with a chainsaw are just amazing.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_03]: And this is a world class competition up there.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: They've got people down there from England, Wales, Ireland.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: Different states in the country here, Hawaii.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: They're all competing for a large, large fry sound there.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: What they do
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: if you look at some of the detail in those eagles and a praying madness and the folks and whatever it just their imagination just runs wild and it is really something to watch.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_28]: Well I know the owner of the power sports store does a lot of that himself too and yeah I think it's great they brought it here we just haven't you know I don't know why nobody is it but on the news or anything.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_03]: I believe they had a little grip on it their

- 30:17[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_28]: Is there like men's and women's competition or how's it work?
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: It is a competition.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: This is a world competition.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think tomorrow is the finale.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_28]: Okay.

- 39:26[SPEAKER_11]: You can focus on getting healthy and returning to work, because brothers and club are doing the hard work for you.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_11]: Ask a friend, ask your family, who would they call for help with workers compensation?
- 39:37[SPEAKER_11]: Carothers and club, go to nylawcc.com and contact our brothers and club.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_11]: We work, you recover.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_11]: The news and talk authority.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_28]: It's all you need to know.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_28]: Well, hey, the FCC has approved Paramount's merger with Skydance.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_28]: That's that whole CBS thing.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, complicated complicated, but of course people are saying there's all this festering now about CBS canceling Stephen Colbert's late show.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_28]: Um, days after the comedian sharply criticized the settlement on air.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_28]: Well, you know, he'd go after the boss on the air.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_28]: Who's, um, paying you and it's not going to work out.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_28]: It wouldn't, they shouldn't even have him on the air.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_28]: So I wouldn't keep my near.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_28]: If you're getting rid of his show and get rid of him, you're walking out immediately.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_28]: And now he's on the air.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_28]: Crap it all over was, you know, parent company, I'm not saying CBS isn't open to criticism, but, you know, you don't bite the hand that feeds you.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, using the microphone that they provided, I don't go for that, you know, I wouldn't do it if I, in most broadcast situations, and there are some exceptions.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_28]: But most situations, if they're done with you,
- 41:12[SPEAKER_28]: for business reasons, content reasons, personal, whatever that it is.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_28]: You know, you're out the door.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, we'll get you stuff, put it in a box, and you're out of here.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_28]: That's how it works.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_28]: And why they don't do that with coal bear, and then he'll, I don't know if they're on Friday nights, but he'll be on again.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_28]: And maybe they like the publicity, maybe, but you know the people who watch that,
- 41:41[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_28]: They think he's a greatest thing since sliced bread.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_28]: I don't, you know, I'm not that some of the stuff he does is funny, but you know, Bill Mark can be very funny and still criticize Trump, but he's, you know, even handed about it.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, the co-bear is just, I, I don't know why our whole local hometown family station doesn't just pull the plug out it and put a sitcom on then.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_28]: Well, I'm not up that time at night anyway, so it doesn't bother me.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_28]: I watch a little gut-failed, and that's it.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, that's it for me.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_28]: I don't need to watch anymore.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_28]: Seven high five, twelve, forty is the phone number.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_28]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows, condolences to our welder friend Mike Hewitt on the loss of his dog, Graham Dog, passed away last night.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_28]: Always a difficult thing, and we send our best out to
- 42:41[SPEAKER_28]: Mike and Mary and everybody else in Limerick.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_28]: Um, what else have we got going on?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_28]: Oh, we got a message here.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_28]: Somebody texted in Colbert as a pompous smug.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_28]: I can't say the next word.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_28]: Here's some of that topic of changing social lives.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_28]: Some of us as I hooked up with the person they're seeing right now.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_28]: online.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_28]: Okay, that's great.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_28]: Um, here's another one.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_28]: The same people who complain about the city attorney are the ones who hired her.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_28]: And then this note goes on to say Bob Sly is looking better and better.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_28]: I compared to this person.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_28]: Well, I don't know.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_28]: I mean, I don't even seen him in ages.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know how he looks.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_28]: But you made the right vote on that water system thing out in the town of water towns, like you can credit on that.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_28]: And what else have we got going on?
- 43:58[SPEAKER_28]: Oh, trash service.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_28]: Wow.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_28]: We're trying to get quotes for a different service.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_28]: You know, it's got to the point you can't, you've got to shop around.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_28]: As with taxes going up and electric bill, those are things you can't really control.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_28]: You can't control the taxes.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_28]: And electric bill, you know, once you've got all your high efficiency, your furnace is in and your LED lights is not much you can do to really cut electricity use.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_28]: So we're looking at trash service.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_28]: And that one here is quite a bit less.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_28]: Wow.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, maybe we'll have to do that.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_28]: You know, you know, you just can't pay that kind of price for a few bags of trash.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_28]: Seven, five, five, twelve, forty of the phone number.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_28]: You'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_28]: We'll put you on to talk about whatever you want within the bounds of the taste and go from there, okay?
- 45:08[SPEAKER_28]: Alrighty.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_28]: Well, we've talked about so many things here and
- 45:12[SPEAKER_28]: You must all be out on the weekend, doing your stuff.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_28]: Well, the weather continues to look very good here in the North Country.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_28]: We're having a heck of a summer.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_28]: For whatever you like to do, a heck of a summer.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_28]: Seventy eight degrees right now.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_28]: We expect a higher of eighty one today.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_28]: Tomorrow Saturday, a real picked in day, sunny in eighty seven and slight chance of showers, but eighty six on Sunday.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_28]: and then sunny in eighty nine on monday holy cow a lot of sunshine lot of uh... whatever um... so uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh

- 49:41[SPEAKER_28]: Depend on it, indeed.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_28]: Well, some people say this has been a great loss this week for Gen Xers or whatever.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_28]: Gen Z. Gen Zers, I guess.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_28]: You know, Malcolm Schermau Warner, the actor, who played Theo, they're died in a swimming accident.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_28]: And there's Isaiah's born in Hulk Hogan, but Hulk Hogan was not liked by a lot of people now because he'd been too Trumpian.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_28]: A lot of people were trashing him after his death yesterday.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_28]: I don't think that's right.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_28]: I don't.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_28]: I, I subscribe to the old bromide.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_28]: You don't speak ill of the dead.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_28]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_28]: We got some people here at the station or still trying to get over Connie Francis.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_28]: No.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_28]: There you go.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_28]: Some texts coming in.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_28]: Water town will be like California soon or fifty percent of the people don't pay their power bills.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_28]: That may be true.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_28]: Somebody wrote in and said there's a mosquito problem in Canton, New York and St.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_28]: Lawrence County with West Nile virus.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah, there's no cure for it.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_28]: It can be serious.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_28]: You know, check your local warnings on it.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_28]: Okay.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_28]: All right.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_28]: What happened to those four trillion dollars that people were saying Trump crossed this and the stock market went down a bit
- 51:02[SPEAKER_28]: Early April.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_28]: That's all back and more.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_28]: It's amazing.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_28]: It's amazing.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_28]: Alrighty.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_28]: But else we got here.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_28]: Not too much else going on.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_28]: Not too much else.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_28]: uh... seven five five twelve forty four number if you'd like to be on the air today and uh... we've gone over the weather forecast and talked about all of these uh... different things are you know what i saw in factory streets right now in the window of uh... empty storefront and big signs promoting this uh... licensed legal marijuana uh... dispensary retailer in Evans mills the way station i think it is
- 51:56[SPEAKER_28]: And, uh, another arm, you know, I'm not knocking that, but the irony of big science promoting it in the city saying, go to Evans Mills.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_28]: Yeah.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_28]: Not that you shouldn't go to Evans Mills.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_28]: I'm not, that's not my argument.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_28]: You know, we're going to see on August for it.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_28]: I mean, that's the first council meeting.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_28]: Now, the doc says he wants a resolution on the belt or on the agenda to get the only ethics here in going.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_28]: We'll see if he gets that.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_28]: and uh... i think uh... counts women reserve it wanted a local law drawn to uh... reverse the uh... prohibition of legal weed in the city legal weed stores of which you don't end up with one or two at the most now we have twenty one illicit ones generating no sales tax no payroll tax no nothing oh either the geniuses down there yeah
- 52:57[SPEAKER_28]: And, you know, I ask somebody about that.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_28]: I ask, will we tell you a cop about it?
- 53:03[SPEAKER_28]: It's not on the radar, really.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_28]: That kind of stuff.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_28]: So, whatever.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_28]: I mean, I don't really care.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_28]: I mean, if you can get cheaper cigarettes on the download, why wouldn't you?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_28]: I don't smoke cigarettes, but if you could, why not?
- 53:17[SPEAKER_28]: Just because it's a state doesn't get some outrageous amount of money out of you.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_28]: So maybe that's why we just kind of look the other way on it because as a society, because there's a lot of people who, in lower income groups, you smoke and, you know, it's a way to, for them to get economically, get their product.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_28]: So it might be part of a master plan, you know, that the government's doing here.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_28]: Seven, five, five, twelve, forty is the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_28]: Five or six minutes left here, and we've talked about so many different things.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_28]: Next month, I guess next month, we're on the twentieth of somewhere in there.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_28]: Remember, Mayor Walker, his son is very active in the feet, studying the future of the Black River here in town.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_28]: And he was going to stop by when he's in town sometime in late August to talk about that topic.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_28]: And you know, his dad was such a great guy, great mayor, great person.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_28]: But he encrusted to meet him and see what's on his mind.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_28]: Okay.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_28]: So that comes a little bit later next month.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_28]: I forgot the exact date, but we're looking up for you.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_28]: And there's other things coming up.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_28]: The big event next week is Jeff Smith.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_28]: You're in the live at five show all next week filling in for Glenn.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_28]: We're staying a much needed respite.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_28]: I don't know what he's doing for vacation, but he's taking one.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_28]: So the former mayor will be in and I know he was kind enough to fill in when I was sick a couple of years ago and he's kind enough to fill in next week.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_28]: And there's so many topics.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_28]: that he was involved with and he knows he knows all this stuff.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_28]: You know, if you got questions, he knows a lot more about what has gone on the last few years and I have.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_28]: Because I, you know, I drifted in and out of consciousness.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_28]: I'm cognitive abilities.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_28]: I'm barely above Biden at the moment.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_28]: So yeah.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_28]: I just got a text message from the former mayor.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_28]: Big week next week for live at five, all local topics on the table, every one of them.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_28]: Every one of them.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_28]: From hydro power, firemen to whatever else, marijuana, only, I'm sure, only, I'll come up.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_28]: All sorts of things next week that you can talk to Mayor Smith about.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_28]: All the questions you just wanted answered and have been wondering about next week or week.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_28]: So write it down on your calendars.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_28]: Next Monday through Friday, five o'clock, the live at five show with former Mayor Jeff Smith.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_28]: All right.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_28]: We'll look forward to hearing it.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_28]: Somebody.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_28]: Somebody just sent me a text.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_28]: I didn't understand what they're saying.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: whatever well be here that the village of governor or sprays for mc mosquitoes that's good to know yeah very good to know good afternoon around the air yeah I love this and there what's up I just love this blue for weather a little forward to few summer things in the North country here tonight we've got the black party downtown mm-hmm

- 57:29[SPEAKER_03]: tickets for the other do the boat tour in the boat castle tour okay well that sounds great i i think the uh black party tonight you know the weather looks like it's going to be okay i think according to my song is really whether the party has supposed to be uh supposed to be clear good yeah yeah i'm i'm looking forward to it i know i'm glad i heard that cleaned up the area
- 57:58[SPEAKER_03]: There's a little park across the coast where the homeless would happen.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_03]: Now, somebody went visit there and says, yeah, the homeless looks like they cleared them out.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty much into patrol and a lot.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_03]: And now it's mostly people, just a fish.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_03]: So that's another good thing.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_28]: Well, that's great.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_28]: Where did they send the homeless people?
- 58:19[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they're hanging out at what you should read a poverty store.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_03]: They hang out in a little doorway there.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_28]: Oh, OK.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_28]: That's nice.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm not really.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_03]: But well, most of them, they don't really, they're like, back in, and they seem pretty polite most of the time.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_03]: I went by the other day, and we had a basketball case.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_03]: They said, well, if you don't take them with your own amount, you know, they're not stale yet, but they're like a stale.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_03]: And so we walked back
- 58:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I said the home was, you know, you guys watched this couple of things I didn't go here.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_03]: I don't mean to encourage them, but they were just going to get thrown out in the way.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_03]: But, oh, thank you so much.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, uh, like I gave them money to stop and they dropped it.
