Burmistrov Returns to North America | Winnipeg Jets News
After being drafted eighth overall in 2010 by the Atlanta Thrashers, Alexander Burmistrov is making a surprising return to North America—this time with the Toronto Maple Leafs’ ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones. Once seen as a top prospect ahead of stars like Granlund and Fowler, his NHL career fizzled into a depth role, leading to stints with Arizona, Vancouver, and eventually a decade-plus in Russia’s KHL. Now 34, he’s embracing a fresh start in the ECHL, hoping to reignite his game—and maybe even spark a comeback story. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow…
