- 0:02personal change happens when you change the people
- 0:06and systems around you not just motivation and
- 0:11hope inside you welcome to day 6 of the 30 day
- 0:17challenge to maintaining your badassness here
- 0:24are some ways to grab a hold of the levers to
- 0:30actually move you in a new direction number 1
- 0:38get clear before you get busy Most of the changes
- 0:44you have attempted failed because your goal was
- 0:50vague. You must also name the identity as well
- 0:56as the outcome. Identity helps you change toward
- 1:01the changes. The one sentence rule is if you
- 1:13say, I want to change my behavior to blank because.
- 1:21If you can't name the blank, you won't stick
- 1:28with it because your goal is not clear. Pick
- 1:34a goal for 30 days and stick to it. One goal
- 1:40at a time. You can't overhaul everything about
- 1:44you at once. Like if your goal is to eat better,
- 1:50focus on that for 30 days. Then it will become
- 1:53a habit. In the next 30 days, Focus on spending
- 2:00enough time on social media. You will get good
- 2:03at that in 30 days. It will become a habit and
- 2:06so on. Shrink your goal until it is stupid easy.
- 2:14Make each version so small that it becomes natural.
- 2:21An example is not joining every day, but when
- 2:26you find the time once a week until it becomes
- 2:30a natural habit. Natural behavior happens when
- 2:36motivation, ability, and prompt meet. Stack it
- 2:48on something you already do. Do not create a
- 2:52new routine. Attach it to one you do best. For
- 2:59example, after dinner, I will lay out my clothes
- 3:08for tomorrow. If time is your enemy, in the morning,
- 3:18wash on Saturday, If time is your enemy in the
- 3:23morning, watch on Saturday or Sunday. And, sit
- 3:27out your clothes for the whole entire week. If
- 3:33you are absent -minded, design your environment
- 3:36ahead of time. By designing your environment
- 3:44ahead of time, you are testing your new goal.
- 3:50If your desire is to start reading, put your
- 3:56book on your pillow. So when it's almost time
- 4:02for bed, you will be reminded that oh that's
- 4:07my goal to start reading then it will become
- 4:10a habit and you will go into your room earlier
- 4:13every night until it becomes a habit and put
- 4:19your phone and your charger in another room if
- 4:27spending more money is your nemesis unsubscribe
- 4:33from at least two streaming services it tricks
- 4:38me out how many streaming services are available
- 4:43for us to pay to watch TV. You know back in the
- 4:48day TV was free. We had like four or five channels
- 4:53and that buzz and snowy sound would come on at
- 4:57what time or one in the morning. If you're playing
- 5:04for more than one streaming services, pick the
- 5:10best service you have. and spend more time watching
- 5:16and get rid of the other ones. Do you want to
- 5:21eat better and lose weight and save money? Preview
- 5:31your food and prep for the week. Pot is king.
- 5:39Willpower is a winning. Make a pot of chili,
- 5:44hamburger helper, tuna or chicken salad, vegetable
- 5:51salad, whatever you want to make for the week.
- 5:56Get those reusable meal prep containers and prep
- 6:01before you sleep. Prep before you sleep for the
- 6:06week. And you can buy those meal prep containers
- 6:10at your local supermarket. I saw some in Kroger
- 6:13today when I went. You don't have to get online
- 6:16and order from Amazon or Uline. It's some at
- 6:20your local convenience store and at the dowry.
- 6:28Constraint forces creativity. No phone first
- 6:33thing when you wake up put twenty five twenty
- 6:37five dollars aside for eating out during the
- 6:41week and You want to set a 30 minute timer for
- 6:47a new project? You are starting do not spend
- 6:51more than 30 minutes on a new project a day Because
- 6:57you would get sick and tired of it keep receipts
- 7:01on yourself and spill the tea Keep the spreadsheet
- 7:05for proof and progress Write down a date, what
- 7:11you did, and how you felt after. Three columns
- 7:15is it. That's all you need. It's sort of your
- 7:23badass maintenance board. And last but not least,
- 7:30schedule a weekly review of not daily judgment,
- 7:37but ask yourself questions like, what worked
- 7:42for me this week? Or, what got in the way? Who
- 7:48got in the way? Stifle my progress or did I suffer
- 7:56my progress by not committing to change? What
- 8:04will I have to tweak for next week to make it
- 8:08work better for me now? I will read your questions
- 8:17for your survey got that essence survey Number
- 8:2216. Do you feel comfortable going out to lunch
- 8:26by yourself? Have you ever gone to the movies
- 8:30alone? And 18 How many siblings did you grow
- 8:37with? That's the interesting question and you
- 8:40might wonder that's a odd question But this has
- 8:44more meaning than you think I went over The weekly
- 9:01homework last night. I'm just going to go over
- 9:04the one for today daily homework Not the daily
- 9:28homework, but the weekly home the daily homework
- 9:32for today for the week is mindset voice chat
- 9:37catch three self -critic lines that you say to
- 9:41yourself rewrite them and Say them to someone
- 9:45close to you like your best friend and you will
- 9:49see That it doesn't feel right saying this to
- 9:52somebody else. Why would you say them to yourself?
