- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawcrel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:18Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:21Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Happy December. I cannot believe we are in the final
- 0:32Speaker 1: month of twenty twenty four. That is absolutely crazy to me.
- 0:36Speaker 1: This year flew by. I can remember every detail of
- 0:40Speaker 1: things that happened in February and March, and I just
- 0:42Speaker 1: can't believe that everything has happened like this whole year
- 0:46Speaker 1: just flew by, And it truly was such an amazing year.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And I have so much to reflect on and so
- 0:54Speaker 1: much to look back on. And yeah, I just cannot
- 0:58Speaker 1: believe we are already into the holiday season. I really
- 1:01Speaker 1: wanted to make this episode about getting into the holiday
- 1:04Speaker 1: spirit because I feel like the last time we talked
- 1:06Speaker 1: about the holidays was in the beginning of November, which,
- 1:09Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, in the beginning of November, I
- 1:11Speaker 1: was fully just ready to put up my Christmas tree,
- 1:14Speaker 1: ready to get the Christmas shopping going. But I think
- 1:17Speaker 1: the holiday season just hits immediately as soon as you
- 1:19Speaker 1: hit December. Like right now, I'm definitely in the holiday
- 1:23Speaker 1: spirit because you know, the malls are crazy, the roads
- 1:26Speaker 1: are crazy, like everybody's starting their holiday shopping. All in all,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I just like everyone's leaving their house and you can
- 1:31Speaker 1: just feel the holiday craziness already started. And I also
- 1:34Speaker 1: think with Black Friday and Cyber Monday being this past weekend,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I also just felt like seeing the sales buying things
- 1:40Speaker 1: all that. I don't know, I just felt, Okay, now
- 1:42Speaker 1: we're officially in the holiday mood. And yeah, the house
- 1:45Speaker 1: definitely felt like Christmas, obviously because I had my decorations
- 1:48Speaker 1: up in the beginning of November. But now it just
- 1:51Speaker 1: feels more real. And I'm sure you guys can relate
- 1:53Speaker 1: to that because I'm sure a lot of you just
- 1:55Speaker 1: had Thanksgiving this past weekend. So to all my American followers,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I hope we had an amazing Thanksgiving. But I'm sure
- 2:01Speaker 1: you guys are really feeling it now, and some of
- 2:03Speaker 1: you may even be putting your Christmas decorations up this
- 2:06Speaker 1: week or you did it this past weekend. I know
- 2:08Speaker 1: everyone puts up their decorations at different times. Some people
- 2:10Speaker 1: put it up in November. Some people put it up
- 2:12Speaker 1: in the beginning of December, so I'm sure some of
- 2:15Speaker 1: you are definitely excited and ready to kick off the
- 2:18Speaker 1: holiday season. I am definitely fully in the holiday mood
- 2:22Speaker 1: because I'm also doing vlog miss this year on TikTok.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I did it last year, and I'm doing something a
- 2:26Speaker 1: bit different this year. I'm posting every second day instead
- 2:29Speaker 1: of every single day for twelve days, and the reason
- 2:32Speaker 1: being is because last year, I felt posting every single
- 2:35Speaker 1: day for a consistent twelve days was just too much
- 2:39Speaker 1: for me personally, just because obviously I manage a podcast,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I manage YouTube, I manage my Instagram, and just having
- 2:45Speaker 1: one platform and doing that, honestly wouldn't be that difficult.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But because I managed so many other platforms, I didn't
- 2:50Speaker 1: want to be a complete ghost on the other platforms
- 2:52Speaker 1: because I was so focused on doing TikTok for this
- 2:55Speaker 1: whole twelve days of log miss. So instead I decided
- 2:59Speaker 1: to do it every second day, which I feel like
- 3:00Speaker 1: is very attainable, very easy, and also it doesn't feel
- 3:03Speaker 1: overly repetitive, because obviously, if I'm filming from morning to night,
- 3:06Speaker 1: things are going to look quite similar, so I just
- 3:09Speaker 1: felt like it made more sense to do every second day,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and yeah, I'm excited. So I definitely want you guys
- 3:15Speaker 1: to follow me on TikTok because I'm also doing a
- 3:17Speaker 1: giveaway on their every vlog miss There is a giveaway
- 3:20Speaker 1: included into each vlog, so if you watch within the
- 3:23Speaker 1: middle of the vlog, you'll see that I'll be doing
- 3:25Speaker 1: a gift card giveaway, which means every time I post avlog,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I will be giving away a random gift card that
- 3:31Speaker 1: I select, and you have the chance of winning it
- 3:33Speaker 1: just by following me on TikTok and Instagram, commenting on
- 3:36Speaker 1: the TikTok video, and sharing it with two of your friends.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I wanted to try and do a giveaway through all
- 3:42Speaker 1: the platforms, but honestly, it just would have been too
- 3:44Speaker 1: hard to manage how to select a winner and all that.
- 3:47Speaker 1: It was just easier to do everything on one platform,
- 3:50Speaker 1: And because TikTok is my biggest audience, I felt that
- 3:52Speaker 1: was the most important one to do the giveaway on.
- 3:55Speaker 1: But you guys are also extremely important to me, and
- 3:57Speaker 1: I want to make sure you guys get something out
- 3:59Speaker 1: of it. But I definitely want to make sure that
- 4:01Speaker 1: you guys get something out of it as well, So
- 4:02Speaker 1: go follow me on TikTok, watch the videos, and I
- 4:04Speaker 1: hope one of you actually win because you guys mean
- 4:07Speaker 1: so much to me and I want to be able
- 4:08Speaker 1: to get back to you guys as well. So yeah,
- 4:10Speaker 1: it's definitely a busy time of the year for me,
- 4:12Speaker 1: but I truly do love this time of the year,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and I love filming blog miss It's so fun to film,
- 4:17Speaker 1: you know, days in my life and just show you
- 4:19Speaker 1: guys things that are happening within my life. But I
- 4:22Speaker 1: want to quickly talk about Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Did anyone actually have a successful shopping spree? Because I
- 4:27Speaker 1: feel like I didn't really see much in my opinion,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and I don't know if anyone else feels the same way.
- 4:33Speaker 1: There wasn't anything that really screamed like, oh my god,
- 4:36Speaker 1: huge savings, like need to buy this weekend, Like I
- 4:39Speaker 1: don't know, every place that I was looking at for
- 4:42Speaker 1: shopping did not have that grade of sales. Like the
- 4:45Speaker 1: only place I think I ordered from was Aritzia, but
- 4:48Speaker 1: that was their clientele sales, So to me, it doesn't
- 4:50Speaker 1: really count for Black Friday or cyber Monday sales just
- 4:53Speaker 1: because they do that every year. Zara had some stuff
- 4:56Speaker 1: on sale, but nothing really crazy. I was really wanting
- 4:59Speaker 1: to buy some furn to be honest, and maybe that's
- 5:01Speaker 1: not the time to by furniture. I don't know, but
- 5:03Speaker 1: there was no furniture that I personally loved that was
- 5:07Speaker 1: having good sales. So usually, for me, if it's worth
- 5:09Speaker 1: me spending a large amount of money on stuff for
- 5:12Speaker 1: gifts or for myself or whatever the case may be,
- 5:15Speaker 1: usually I like to have at least a twenty percent
- 5:17Speaker 1: or thirty percent off discount. So I don't know. There
- 5:20Speaker 1: was nothing really great in my opinion, but who knows.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Maybe Boxing Day will be better, or maybe because we
- 5:26Speaker 1: live in an economy that just doesn't do great sales anymore.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I have no idea, but nothing really screamed amazing to me. However,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm very happy with my Ritzia purchase, so I'm not
- 5:35Speaker 1: going to complain about that. But I did get some
- 5:37Speaker 1: Christmas gifts just for Zach and my family members because
- 5:40Speaker 1: there was some random sales for things that I was
- 5:43Speaker 1: getting them just from like Amazon and such. And if
- 5:45Speaker 1: you guys miss it, I do have a Holiday guide
- 5:47Speaker 1: app on my LTK. I've linked it in all my
- 5:49Speaker 1: episodes that I've posted since I think November, So if
- 5:52Speaker 1: you have any troubles finding a gift for someone, I've
- 5:55Speaker 1: definitely linked a lot of great options there that I've
- 5:57Speaker 1: actually purchased for Zach or for my sister, for my mom,
- 6:02Speaker 1: or anything like that. So definitely check that out if
- 6:03Speaker 1: you're that kind of person that needs inspo for some
- 6:05Speaker 1: holiday shopping. But anyways, let's get into today's episode. I
- 6:08Speaker 1: really wanted to talk about some December rituals, so things
- 6:11Speaker 1: that I am making a non negotiable this month that I
- 6:14Speaker 1: just feel like is necessary for the holiday season. First
- 6:18Speaker 1: one being your holiday decor has to be up. It's
- 6:20Speaker 1: the beginning of December. You need to have a Christmas
- 6:22Speaker 1: tree up somewhere, or a holiday candle or garland lit
- 6:26Speaker 1: up somewhere. Your house doesn't feel cozy or it doesn't
- 6:29Speaker 1: feel like you're in the holiday spirit if you don't
- 6:31Speaker 1: have your decorations up, so make it a priority this
- 6:34Speaker 1: weekend if you haven't done so yet, or a day
- 6:36Speaker 1: during the week, even if it's just like a little
- 6:39Speaker 1: mini tree that you got from your local department store.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Whatever the case, may be just finding ways to make
- 6:44Speaker 1: your space a bit more cozy is a non negotiable
- 6:47Speaker 1: for December. This next one I find kind of funny
- 6:50Speaker 1: because this, to me, is a non negotiable. But you
- 6:52Speaker 1: need to have an advent calendar. And what I mean
- 6:54Speaker 1: by that is that it could be chocolates, it could be,
- 6:57Speaker 1: you know, an Advent calendar from Saphora or a clothing
- 7:00Speaker 1: brand like you name it. I don't care, but every
- 7:03Speaker 1: single year, my mom buys me and Zach Advent calendars.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And to this day, I'm a twenty eight year old woman, married,
- 7:11Speaker 1: not even living at my parents' place, and my mom
- 7:14Speaker 1: still makes the effort of going to the grocery store
- 7:17Speaker 1: and buying me a lindoor chocolate Advent calendar. And I
- 7:21Speaker 1: just find that so frickin' funny that I'm twenty eight
- 7:24Speaker 1: years old and my mom still buys me an Advent calendar.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You know what, The day that she doesn't, I'm going
- 7:28Speaker 1: to be seriously offended, Like I'm gonna be like, why
- 7:31Speaker 1: did you not buy me one this year? I have
- 7:33Speaker 1: an addiction to chocolate, which I've definitely talked about here
- 7:36Speaker 1: on the podcast multiple times, so my mom knows that
- 7:39Speaker 1: chocolate is the key to my heart and it's something
- 7:41Speaker 1: I look forward to after dinner every single day. I
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't have chocolate in the morning. I don't know if
- 7:45Speaker 1: some people do that. I know some people that actually
- 7:48Speaker 1: have it when they're making their coffee, which is so fine.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But for me, I usually like to have it after
- 7:53Speaker 1: dinner just because it's my little sweet treat to end
- 7:55Speaker 1: off the day. But I don't know. I find Advent
- 7:58Speaker 1: calendars are so fun and so enjoyable. I will say
- 8:01Speaker 1: I don't ever remember Advent calendars being the way they
- 8:04Speaker 1: are now verse back then, Like I don't remember seeing
- 8:08Speaker 1: like do your Beauty be doing Advent calendars. Obviously some
- 8:12Speaker 1: of these brands did not exist back then, but it's
- 8:14Speaker 1: just funny to me how these Advent calendars have just
- 8:17Speaker 1: gone so crazy with brands. I just find it so
- 8:19Speaker 1: funny how these brands are doing all these Advent calendars
- 8:22Speaker 1: and you know, putting their products in it, giving you
- 8:24Speaker 1: a discounted rate for it. I mean, it's a great
- 8:26Speaker 1: way of marketing. I'm not gonna lie, but it's just
- 8:28Speaker 1: funny to me how much has changed from you know,
- 8:31Speaker 1: like fifteen years ago versus now and how I don't
- 8:34Speaker 1: remember Advent calendars being like that ten years ago. But anyways,
- 8:39Speaker 1: if you don't have an Advent calendar, go to the
- 8:40Speaker 1: grocery store and pick yourself one up, because I think
- 8:43Speaker 1: everyone deserves to have a piece of chocolate every single day,
- 8:46Speaker 1: because it's a little thing to look forward to. Another
- 8:48Speaker 1: thing I'm making a non negotiable this December is making
- 8:51Speaker 1: sure I'm watching at least one or two holiday movies
- 8:54Speaker 1: every weekend. Like that's a non negotiable. I think everybody
- 8:58Speaker 1: needs to watch every single holiday movie throughout December. Last weekend,
- 9:02Speaker 1: Zach and I actually watched the new Christmas movie that
- 9:05Speaker 1: Lindsay Lohan just released on Netflix. It was so good. Guys,
- 9:10Speaker 1: if you have watched Pretty Little Liars, Ezra Fits is
- 9:14Speaker 1: actually one of the main stars in the movie. I
- 9:17Speaker 1: don't want to give it away, but basically what it's
- 9:19Speaker 1: about is Lindsay Lohan and this guy who was Ezra
- 9:23Speaker 1: Fits from Pretty Low Liars. We're dating for like ten
- 9:26Speaker 1: plus years, and he proposed to her when she was
- 9:30Speaker 1: going to move to London, and she ended up obviously
- 9:33Speaker 1: not accepting the proposal because she wasn't ready. And then
- 9:36Speaker 1: ten years goes by. They haven't seen each other, and
- 9:39Speaker 1: Lindsay Lohan is dating this guy and Ezra Fits just
- 9:43Speaker 1: because I don't remember his actual star name, he was
- 9:47Speaker 1: dating this girl and the guy that Lindsay Lohan was
- 9:50Speaker 1: dating or is dating sorry, and the girl that Ezra
- 9:53Speaker 1: Fits is dating or actually brother and sister and they
- 9:56Speaker 1: didn't know that until they showed up at a holiday dinner.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So obviously they're acting like they don't know each other
- 10:02Speaker 1: and they're just playing it off like they've never seen
- 10:06Speaker 1: each other in their life. Blah blah blah. So that's
- 10:08Speaker 1: kind of like the storyline, so I won't give too
- 10:10Speaker 1: much away, but it's so freaking funny, and it was
- 10:14Speaker 1: actually a really good Netflix movie. Like Netflix movies are
- 10:16Speaker 1: kind of a hit and miss, but that one was
- 10:18Speaker 1: actually really cute. I also feel like we need a
- 10:20Speaker 1: few new Christmas movies out because I feel like I've
- 10:24Speaker 1: seen the same Christmas movies every single year. And Zach's like,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm not watching Elf again, like he put his foot
- 10:29Speaker 1: down because I really wanted to watch Elf, which is
- 10:32Speaker 1: like my favorite Christmas movie, and he's like, kayleie, I
- 10:34Speaker 1: think I've memorized every single word from every movie scene
- 10:38Speaker 1: in that movie, and I'm like, so fair, just because
- 10:40Speaker 1: I usually watch it like two times within the year
- 10:43Speaker 1: during the holiday season, so he wants a break from
- 10:46Speaker 1: watching that. I'll probably watch it by myself sometime while
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm working or something, just because I feel like I
- 10:50Speaker 1: have to watch ELF at some point in December. But
- 10:53Speaker 1: there is a lot of good classics, obviously, like Home Alone,
- 10:56Speaker 1: Christmas with the Cranks, I also love for Christmas. That
- 11:00Speaker 1: one's always funny, but it's always nice to have new
- 11:03Speaker 1: movies out, and it's fun to watch movie that you've
- 11:06Speaker 1: never seen before. But it's also fun to watch a
- 11:08Speaker 1: movie that you've seen one hundred times. It really just
- 11:11Speaker 1: depends on the person, but I definitely think that's non
- 11:14Speaker 1: negotiable to do in December. It's just finding a weekend
- 11:17Speaker 1: or a night throughout your week to watch a holiday movie.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It just gets you in the holiday spirit, definitely feels
- 11:21Speaker 1: extra cozy, and there's so many good Christmas movies out
- 11:26Speaker 1: through any platform like Netflix, Amazon Prime. I have Netflix,
- 11:30Speaker 1: Amazon Prime, Crave, and Disney, so I have a few
- 11:33Speaker 1: platforms that I can browse and watch some movies. But
- 11:38Speaker 1: I tend o to ten recommend doing that every weekend.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Another thing I'm making a non negotiable this December is
- 11:43Speaker 1: that every time I do a reset within my home,
- 11:46Speaker 1: whether it's a Sunday reset or a day during the
- 11:48Speaker 1: week that I want to tidy up my space, I
- 11:50Speaker 1: need to be putting holiday music on every single time.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Because there's nothing like belting out a song that you
- 11:54Speaker 1: love and just in your kitchen cleaning up, like playing
- 11:58Speaker 1: Justin Bieber Mistletoe or Mariah Carrey Christmas music. I also
- 12:02Speaker 1: love Michael Buble, like putting it on my Alexa. I
- 12:05Speaker 1: don't know, I just feel like it's the best way
- 12:07Speaker 1: to get into the holiday spirit. And don't get me wrong,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I worked retail for five years and I just remember
- 12:14Speaker 1: playing Christmas music from like end of November to end
- 12:18Speaker 1: of December, and I was just sick and tired of
- 12:21Speaker 1: listening to the same, you know, twelve to fifteen songs
- 12:24Speaker 1: that would replay each day. But now that I don't
- 12:27Speaker 1: work retail, I actually kind of miss listening to that
- 12:30Speaker 1: Christmas music. So for me, like whenever I have the
- 12:33Speaker 1: time to just like place the music in my home, sing,
- 12:36Speaker 1: belt it out, dance, it's important to do moments like that.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Because we all need to have fun in our life,
- 12:43Speaker 1: and doing those little things are something that can make
- 12:46Speaker 1: you happies. I sing to Freddy all the time whenever
- 12:48Speaker 1: I'm home alone. I mean, let's be honest, I'm sure
- 12:50Speaker 1: everyone does a little singing moment or dancing moment with
- 12:52Speaker 1: their dog or sometimes with your husband. It really just
- 12:55Speaker 1: depends on the mood. But definitely playing some holiday music
- 12:58Speaker 1: when I'm doing my Sunday set is a non negotiable.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Another thing is online Christmas shopping only, avoiding the malls,
- 13:07Speaker 1: avoiding the crowds. That is one thing that I actually
- 13:10Speaker 1: hate in December is how crazy everything is like parking
- 13:15Speaker 1: lot jammed. People are going crazy, Like I don't know,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone else feels that way, but
- 13:20Speaker 1: I absolutely hate going to the mall during this time
- 13:24Speaker 1: of the year. I avoid it at all costs. Unless
- 13:26Speaker 1: I have to make a return, I will go. But
- 13:28Speaker 1: if I am going to make a return, it's going
- 13:30Speaker 1: to be on like a Monday or Tuesday when people
- 13:32Speaker 1: are working and the mall isn't that busy. But do
- 13:35Speaker 1: not catch me at that mall on a Saturday or Sunday,
- 13:38Speaker 1: because I'm telling you right now, it's going to be chaotic,
- 13:40Speaker 1: it's going to be stressful, it's going to be a
- 13:42Speaker 1: shit show. So if you can try to order all
- 13:46Speaker 1: your Christmas gifts online, I've been doing that for the
- 13:48Speaker 1: past two years. It's stress free. As long as you
- 13:52Speaker 1: order well in advance, you don't have to worry about
- 13:54Speaker 1: things not coming in on time. So order everything as
- 13:58Speaker 1: early as you can. That way, you can have everything
- 14:00Speaker 1: arrived before Christmas Day and have time to wrap your
- 14:03Speaker 1: gifts and all that. But wow, let me tell you,
- 14:05Speaker 1: ordering online has changed my life and I will never
- 14:09Speaker 1: go holiday shopping in a mall ever again. Another thing
- 14:12Speaker 1: to do this December is visit a local Christmas market
- 14:15Speaker 1: in your area, or go see a Christmas light show
- 14:19Speaker 1: or a Christmas themed bar, depending on where you live.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I think it's important to just do your own research
- 14:23Speaker 1: because there's always things happening in your city. I feel
- 14:26Speaker 1: like Ottawa, which is where I'm from, definitely took a
- 14:29Speaker 1: while to start adding these fun things to the city,
- 14:32Speaker 1: but it's nice to finally see some things popping up,
- 14:35Speaker 1: Like our Christmas market in Landsdown. We have a Christmas
- 14:38Speaker 1: light show that's like a little drive through that you
- 14:39Speaker 1: can go see all the Christmas lights, which is super pretty.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I think we have two Christmas bars that are like
- 14:44Speaker 1: completely decked out in Christmas decorations, Christmas cocktail themes, all that.
- 14:50Speaker 1: So if you have the time to spend a little
- 14:52Speaker 1: date night with your husband or your friend, definitely find
- 14:54Speaker 1: a weekend or a night to do that and just yeah,
- 14:57Speaker 1: go to something that's Christmas themed. I think that's always
- 14:59Speaker 1: fun to do. One thing that I did actually this
- 15:01Speaker 1: past weekend is I went to a little town called Elmont,
- 15:04Speaker 1: which is really not far from where I live. And
- 15:07Speaker 1: some of you actually message me that you either live there,
- 15:10Speaker 1: or you were really happy just to see me there,
- 15:12Speaker 1: or you ran into me, or whatever the case may be.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Which so nice meeting some of you. But it was
- 15:18Speaker 1: so funny because Zach's family actually lives in Elmont, so
- 15:21Speaker 1: I feel like a lot of you felt like I
- 15:23Speaker 1: didn't know the area or it was just shocked that
- 15:25Speaker 1: I was in Elmont. But I go every single year.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I've been going for the past ten years. I actually
- 15:30Speaker 1: go pretty often just because Zach's family's there, like his
- 15:33Speaker 1: grandma lives there, his aunts live there. So I don't
- 15:36Speaker 1: usually go to Elmont downtown. I just go to the
- 15:39Speaker 1: Elmont area in general, but their downtown area is so
- 15:42Speaker 1: freaking cute during this time of the year. Fun fact,
- 15:45Speaker 1: they also film a lot of Hallmark movies there. They
- 15:47Speaker 1: obviously don't film it during the holiday season, but they
- 15:50Speaker 1: usually film those movies usually in like March or February,
- 15:53Speaker 1: when it's obviously not busy in the town. But yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 1: it's super cute just to see the town all decked out,
- 15:59Speaker 1: and it definitely gives Hallmark movie vibes. Okay. Another non
- 16:03Speaker 1: negotiable is very small, but turning on your Christmas lights
- 16:06Speaker 1: every single morning and night. That's like one thing that
- 16:09Speaker 1: I have to do. I walk down my stairs in
- 16:11Speaker 1: the morning, I turn on my Christmas tree, I turn
- 16:13Speaker 1: on the garlands on my stairs, and then at night
- 16:16Speaker 1: I do the same thing, making sure that everything's on.
- 16:20Speaker 1: It just makes the house feel more cozy. And if
- 16:23Speaker 1: you're putting that effort of putting everything up in your house,
- 16:26Speaker 1: take advantage of turning on the lights and just seeing
- 16:29Speaker 1: it all lit up. Feel like sometimes I see my
- 16:31Speaker 1: parents and they don't put any of their lights on,
- 16:33Speaker 1: and I'm like, what are you doing? We got to
- 16:34Speaker 1: turn the Christmas lights on, because that's what makes the
- 16:37Speaker 1: Christmas decor is seeing all the lights on. So that's
- 16:40Speaker 1: just a small little detail, but I do find it's
- 16:42Speaker 1: a good reminder for people who forget to do it,
- 16:44Speaker 1: just because it does truly make the house feel so
- 16:47Speaker 1: much more cozier. Another thing is buying holiday themed anything.
- 16:51Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is like holiday candles,
- 16:54Speaker 1: holiday drinks, coffee cramers, tea flavors, lip bombs, you name it,
- 16:58Speaker 1: anything that's like a limited addition for the holiday season.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I'm a sucker that will always buy anything. I just
- 17:04Speaker 1: always cave. So like coffee creamers they'll usually pick up
- 17:07Speaker 1: when I'm in the States that are holiday themed holiday teas,
- 17:11Speaker 1: like anything that's like gingerbread flavored or peppermint like I
- 17:14Speaker 1: love those flavors so much. I also just saw that
- 17:18Speaker 1: Road is releasing a peppermint lip bomb. I think they're
- 17:22Speaker 1: doing a collaboration with Matilda who owns jurf Avenue, so
- 17:27Speaker 1: that I'm sold, Like I want to buy it. So
- 17:30Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I'm always just a sucker
- 17:32Speaker 1: for caving for anything holiday themed or anything themed for
- 17:35Speaker 1: a season. Right, So like during the fall season, I'm
- 17:38Speaker 1: all about pumpkin spice, you know, chai anything. I just
- 17:42Speaker 1: want pumpkin candles in my home all that. And then
- 17:44Speaker 1: now going into the holiday season, it's the same thing.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I want to buy holiday drinks, I want holiday candles
- 17:49Speaker 1: around the house all that. So I don't know. I
- 17:51Speaker 1: find that's a non negotiable. Is just to buy at
- 17:53Speaker 1: least one thing that's anything holiday themed is crucial. Another
- 17:57Speaker 1: non negotiable is having a date night at home home
- 18:00Speaker 1: and doing a gingerbread or Christmas tree painting night, So
- 18:04Speaker 1: gingerbread building or you can get these like little houses
- 18:07Speaker 1: or Christmas trees from Michael's and you can actually paint them.
- 18:11Speaker 1: And I find that's a fun little date night to
- 18:12Speaker 1: do at home. That's cheap and you don't have to
- 18:14Speaker 1: spend a crazy amount of money to have a date
- 18:17Speaker 1: night with your partner. But I always love doing activities,
- 18:20Speaker 1: as you guys know. So I did a gingerbread house
- 18:23Speaker 1: with Zach last year, and we'll probably do the same
- 18:25Speaker 1: thing again, or we'll go to Michael's and we'll pick
- 18:27Speaker 1: up this Christmas tree that I saw, Or if I
- 18:30Speaker 1: don't do it with Zach, I'll probably do it with
- 18:31Speaker 1: my sister or you can do it with a friend
- 18:33Speaker 1: or a little friend night with a bunch of your friends.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I love yeah doing activities like that or Another thing
- 18:40Speaker 1: you can do for December that could be a non
- 18:42Speaker 1: negotiable is host a Christmas night with your girlfriend, so
- 18:46Speaker 1: doing like a themed Christmas cocktail night or trying different
- 18:50Speaker 1: like Christmas desserts that are all Christmas themed. We're actually
- 18:53Speaker 1: doing a Christmas party with my girlfriends on December twenty eighth,
- 18:57Speaker 1: just because it's so hard to book something before for
- 19:00Speaker 1: the holidays and align with everyone's schedule. But we're doing
- 19:03Speaker 1: a ugly sweater Christmas party, which is super fun. We're
- 19:06Speaker 1: doing a gift exchange, We're renting a party bus, like anyways,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you name it, We're doing it. It's a fun little
- 19:12Speaker 1: girls night that I'm very much looking forward to. So
- 19:15Speaker 1: it's nice to be able to host a Christmas night
- 19:17Speaker 1: with your friends and yeah, making a whole Christmas theme
- 19:21Speaker 1: out of it. Another thing that's a non negotiable during
- 19:23Speaker 1: the holiday season is holiday pj's every single night. If
- 19:27Speaker 1: you don't own a pair of holiday pjs, what are
- 19:30Speaker 1: you doing? You need to go on Amazon or Revolve
- 19:33Speaker 1: or just somewhere and order yourself a pair of like
- 19:36Speaker 1: red and white pinstripe pajamas or just anything holiday themed.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't know there's something about Christmas pjs that hits differently.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I love just getting anything corny or anything cute for
- 19:48Speaker 1: the holiday season. I think I have like five different
- 19:51Speaker 1: pairs of holiday pjs because every year my mom usually
- 19:55Speaker 1: buys us a pair for Christmas and they're usually Christmas themed.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I definitely have had more in the past, but I've
- 20:01Speaker 1: donated it or have gotten rid of it, just because obviously,
- 20:03Speaker 1: when you have a jamas for a long period of time,
- 20:05Speaker 1: it's good to just like replan and you know, get
- 20:08Speaker 1: a refresh of a new pair. But if you don't
- 20:11Speaker 1: have holiday pjs, you definitely need to get a pair.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Another great thing to do during the holiday season is
- 20:16Speaker 1: finding ways to give back to your community. So do
- 20:19Speaker 1: some research and see if there's anyone that is looking
- 20:23Speaker 1: to donate some gifts to some kids that are needing
- 20:26Speaker 1: a gift. So this year I actually did an Angel
- 20:29Speaker 1: treat and I got two kids in Ottawa and I
- 20:31Speaker 1: think it's about fifty bucks a kid, so it's really
- 20:34Speaker 1: not that much, but just you know, taking the time
- 20:37Speaker 1: to go get them a gift for the holiday season,
- 20:40Speaker 1: and knowing that they'll be able to open up a
- 20:42Speaker 1: gift this holiday season is truly the best feeling to
- 20:45Speaker 1: give back. So I feel like this is a really
- 20:48Speaker 1: good time to just think about people who are struggling
- 20:51Speaker 1: and that need help, and it's important to, yeah, just
- 20:55Speaker 1: look in your community and see how you can help
- 20:57Speaker 1: or give back to your community. So that's something that
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm doing this year, and I'm very excited to do this.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I've actually done this every single year. It's not something
- 21:05Speaker 1: I usually touch on, but it's something that I've done
- 21:08Speaker 1: as a kid. Like my parents have just always you know,
- 21:12Speaker 1: told me and my sister to remember to give back
- 21:14Speaker 1: and just yeah, do what you can. So even as kids,
- 21:18Speaker 1: me and my sister would always build these little boxes
- 21:21Speaker 1: and give back to people in Africa. We'd give back
- 21:24Speaker 1: to people in Ottawa and just have always thought of, yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 1: just people who are struggling. So it's good to give back.
- 21:31Speaker 1: And I also love how I'm you know, integrating a
- 21:34Speaker 1: giveaway for the holiday season this year by you know,
- 21:38Speaker 1: doing a little gift card thing for you guys, because
- 21:40Speaker 1: obviously I want to show how thankful I am for
- 21:42Speaker 1: you guys and give back to you guys by having
- 21:45Speaker 1: this little giveaways. It could be as small as buying
- 21:47Speaker 1: someone a Starbucks drink that you know ordered behind you.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Just finding ways to give back during the holiday season,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I think is a non negotiable. The last thing that
- 21:56Speaker 1: is a non negotiable for December is not even holiday related,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but you guys know what I'm about to say is
- 22:02Speaker 1: your weekly prep for twenty twenty five. So find a
- 22:05Speaker 1: night once a week to really start planning on how
- 22:08Speaker 1: you want your new year to look like. So, whether
- 22:11Speaker 1: it's going on Pinterest and starting to create a twenty
- 22:13Speaker 1: twenty five board that you can start saving pictures to like,
- 22:17Speaker 1: if there's pictures that resonate to you for your goals
- 22:20Speaker 1: that you're wanting to achieve for the new year. The
- 22:23Speaker 1: time is now to start prepping because we're going to
- 22:25Speaker 1: take a deep dive into vision boards and goal setting
- 22:29Speaker 1: and all that in the next two episodes, so stay
- 22:32Speaker 1: tuned for that. But it's good to get ahead, start
- 22:34Speaker 1: and start figuring out how you want to plan out
- 22:36Speaker 1: and strategize your new year. So that's another non negotiable
- 22:39Speaker 1: for December is starting to prep for twenty twenty five.
- 22:43Speaker 1: But I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. I really
- 22:45Speaker 1: wanted it to be about the holiday season and just
- 22:48Speaker 1: getting into the holiday spirit because obviously, entering December, it's
- 22:51Speaker 1: all about Christmas, it's all about the fun, and I
- 22:54Speaker 1: really wanted to get you guys in the holiday spirit.
- 22:56Speaker 1: So I hope this episode was able to get you
