- 0:03Enough is enough. I don't have any series shuck and we hold the world
- 0:09ranchom for excuse me while I whipped this out broadcasting Live and Atlanta. To
- 0:17your joousness, this is the Sports Shot Ship with Wayne Gandy. You may
- 0:24began, I'm jig comes it comes a look, is it just I'm a
- 0:38doing by? I'm gonna go on the way you made Bill began. Welcome,
- 0:43Welcome, Welcome. I'm listening to the Sports Shop show. I'm the
- 0:48Sports Shock Wayne Gandy, Good morning. Tell you I hope you're having a
- 0:54great week so far. We are cruising into Sunday showdown between the Chiefs and
- 1:00the Ravens, the Lions and the forty nine ers. Can't wait, four
- 1:07teams left too, will head to Chaotic Vegas is one of those trips that
- 1:14I want to go, but I know I want to go. But I
- 1:21know I want to go, but I know I know the misery of it.
- 1:30Been there, done that. I love. Vegas is one of my
- 1:36top two or three places to go, but I keep seeing the alcohol bill,
- 1:47the food, everything jacked up. You see it, you see it
- 1:51come in. I see it in your eye. You see that twelve dollar
- 1:53cheeseburger now forty dollars. You know how they gonna do it. You know
- 2:00how they gonna do it. They gonna they gonna jack everything up. You
- 2:06see the Vegas Strip, you see jam pack barely can get by VIP access
- 2:16still taking two hours because everybody got the VIP access car. You see it.
- 2:23And that's the part that throws me off on going. It's the part
- 2:29that throws you off. Were going on certain vacation places that you might have
- 2:31loved. You go to South Beach and you know, or Cancoon or somewhere
- 2:37where you knew, and it was fine until everybody heard about it, and
- 2:40then it became where it was taking you an hour to go two blocks,
- 2:49or there was no reservations at the restaurant that you like going to, that
- 2:54kind of hass of which starts to dampen the trip more than enhance it.
- 3:02So it's one of those one ago. But I know what's going on in
- 3:08Vegas. On February the eleven Super Bowl. One of those four teams that
- 3:15I mentioned earlier, the Chiefs, the Ravens, the Lions, the forty
- 3:21nine ers will represent the Chiefs, who have won two Super Bowls in recent
- 3:27times, the Ravens who haven't won a Super Bowl in years since the last
- 3:34of Ray Lewis last time they hung up a banner, and the Lions who've
- 3:42never been to a super Bowl looking to try to at least get to that
- 3:46level. And then the forty nine Ers, a championship team through and through,
- 3:53one of the top five organizations as far as winning Super Bowl all and
- 4:01when you look at it, as I said on kind of small market small
- 4:10market, if you look at the forty nine Ers, out of those teams,
- 4:12probably the biggest fan base because they've won so much. When I say
- 4:15small market, I'm not talking about population. I'm talking about the gravitation of
- 4:21teams and people who like you. The Falcons are not a small market team
- 4:28based on population, but they are a small market team when you talk about
- 4:33how far their fan base has expanded. Cowboy fan, Raider fans, Stealer
- 4:41fans, you find them any and everywhere. Packer fans so they even people
- 4:45never been to Green Bay, you can find them as a Packer fan.
- 4:47They've done a lot of winning. These teams. Forty nine ers have that
- 4:50same effect. But a Lion fan, you imagine ten miles outside of the
- 4:56state of Michigan, you start fading out. Or if you meet them and
- 5:00they say I'm Alliance fan, they have moved somewhere from Michigan. Yeah,
- 5:06am, I explained. That's my experience where I have Cowboy fans here in
- 5:12Atlanta that are born and raised in Atlanta, and they are Cowboy fans.
- 5:16It's just just trying to paint that whole picture. You don't meet Kansas City
- 5:20Chiefs fans are even new Bandwagon jumpers, or they're from that Missouri, Kansas
- 5:29area. They might live somewhere else now that's where they are. You find
- 5:34a Bears fan anywhere people love the Bears. It's like Laker fans the bad
- 5:40Producers. A Laker fan, I'm not sure he's ever been to LA.
- 5:44Have you ever been to La? Yes, sir, okay, he's been
- 5:46out there to La. So now we know well he said it did.
- 5:50But good morning out There is raining here in Atlanta. As you know,
- 5:55the a keep all your clothes on deck. It can be freezing one day.
- 5:59We're your pipes won't get to get any hot water, and then it
- 6:02could just be raining where you need your raincoat. But we are here.
- 6:05We are happy to be here. We got a great show for you for
- 6:10you out there. One of the big conversations before we came on air was
- 6:14lunch. If you can roll back your rolodex to when you were in high
- 6:18school, grade school? Were you on free lunch, reduce lunch? Did
- 6:26you pay full freight? Can you remember? Back then? It was three
- 6:30kinds. It was free, at least in my area, there was free
- 6:34lunch, there was reduced lunch, and there was the full freight free in
- 6:40my time, I want it is free like it always is. Reduce was
- 6:45like forty cent and full was like a dollar in my time in grade school
- 6:55back in the eighties, Big Kenny, were you you free lunch, reduce
- 7:00or full freaked? Can you remember it? I fluctuated between full freight and
- 7:06reduced okay, full freight and reduced bad reducing full freight comanche things are between
- 7:21full freight and reduceday. I think the full was like a dollar ten okay,
- 7:27okay, So it's kind of the same. How much is how much
- 7:30is lunch now? Sixty three dollars? That elementary stuff no no for today,
- 7:41because they got stuff like wraps and salads and off of that that the
- 7:47kids actually know how much your daughter's just left high school. It was about
- 7:55a buck sixty two ten. Okay, so inflation has it affected it.
- 8:00It's not that far off from when we were. It hasn't grown much.
- 8:03No, No, I hadn't grown much. Okay, full freight and the
- 8:09offerings haven't grown much either. It's still like a pizza and corn, that's
- 8:13still the traditional offering. Well, the key in my time was I fluctuated
- 8:20with free and reduced lunch. I never paid full freight. When my sister
- 8:28graduated, I went to reduce lunch because typically it's about the income and how
- 8:33many kids are in the house. How they fluctuate, I mean, how
- 8:37they set your your lunch. The key was to go to the salad bar.
- 8:48That's how you get over on them. Don't go get in the line,
- 8:54go over to the salad bar. It's for now. Salad bar.
- 9:00You make up your own salad. That's the key. So you had the
- 9:07ability to load up. Wait, y'all had a salad bar? Salad bar?
- 9:13Wow? Had a salad bar? Did you have a salabar? Yes?
- 9:18Yeah, fancy fancy that Italian bean and that stuff that clogged all the
- 9:30time. What was your lunching in Chicago on a serious note, like we
- 9:33would have hot dogs and tater tots. We would have pizza burger, which
- 9:41was a hamburger made like a pizza that they put between two slices of bread
- 9:46with some sort of random vegetable of corn or a green bean or something like
- 9:52that. But it was always burgers and tots and fries and pizza and a
- 9:58Midwestern diet. Okay, okay. We had salad bar. No, we
- 10:01never did salad wed my elementary school. We used to see very few people
- 10:07you would have met. Very few people went to it though. It wasn't
- 10:09like the rave but because they I mean, you're talking about kids, so
- 10:16kids want pizza and not dog and the sloppy Joe and what we were in
- 10:20that stuff. But where our salad bar should have been was just a condiment
- 10:24station for onions and relations and things like that. And we had great lunches
- 10:28all through my school years because a lot of the parents of people who were
- 10:31in the kitchen, you knew most of them, and they were actual cooks
- 10:35and chefs, so they would do a little bit more. I don't know
- 10:39about the chef park we cooks. He make a heap of good He make
- 10:43a heap a good sorcle They were chefs five Star up the school I'm from
- 10:54in bug Hollow, North Carolina. I don't know many chefs working at the
- 10:58lunch room and his side. In between his opening up five star restaurants in
- 11:05Vegas, he comes back to bug Holland, North Carolina. You always make
- 11:11it funny, you always make it. How many chefs to happen to kitchen
- 11:15again? Oh man, you got one one head hit. But that relaxed.
- 11:24We're gonna talk about Jim Harball, Doc Rivers, the two playoff games.
- 11:28We got some frozen people in Kansas City. They find some frozen people
- 11:33in the backyard. Some chief things. I don't know how that worked.
- 11:37People using steroids. The Australian Open finals are sad and Cam Newton saying if
- 11:46he could play again, where he would like to go that much more on
- 11:50more the Sports Shock Show coming up right after this, get one of his
- 11:58loans. Wow, Wow, that's betting. It's going lease go. I'm
- 12:07gonna get one of the balls. But they keep coming from Wow too,
- 12:11don't go away. More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dan. Videos

- 15:05Jock of the Day on the Sports Jocksh's taking it to a completely different level
- 15:09this year where we highlight an accolade that has taken their game to the next
- 15:13level. You like you, little Juicy? Do have anything designer? That's
- 15:31on me? That's what I went out to get at you just trying to
- 15:39yo. Did you got you a heat? What my shop? Shut this
- 15:43boy shop? Wayne game to Good morning to you out there listening when it's
- 15:46uh, it's gonna be one of them days. Uh. The Babadoos are
- 15:50still thinking. Miss Sally from the lunch Room was a chef, and Big
- 15:52Kenny is upset with the Chicago food system because they never got Salid with any
- 15:58of his meals. It's just I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I see why
- 16:04you went to a life of crime. I had green vegetables. You didn't
- 16:08get salad. Seriously, y'all had green vegetables. Y'all didn't even have that
- 16:12nasty broccoli and cheese we had. Core. Jim Harball has completed his mission
- 16:18at his alma made of winning a national title, and now has decided to
- 16:25take his talents and his coaching ability back to California. This will be his
- 16:32third stint as a head coach or fourth. This is fourth right in California
- 16:38area, in the state of California. Fourth right San Diego State. Then
- 16:45he went to Stanford. That was San Diego, San Diego University of San
- 16:49Diego, University of San Diego. Then he went to Stanford, then he
- 16:52went to forty nine Ers, and now he's at the Charger. So he's
- 16:56back in Cali like his fourth time around. He's with the Chargers now a
- 17:03organization just a couple of years ago, with the talent that they had,
- 17:07a lot of people thought they could compete and they were a couple of wins
- 17:11away from reaching the Super Bowl as well. They have fallen a part of
- 17:17the last two years. They fired their coach around week twelve thirteen, they
- 17:23got rid of Staley, right, is that like the last maybe four games
- 17:29they played without him. Don't hold me particular to that one, but it's
- 17:33in that area after they lost to the Raiders. So everyone in research and
- 17:38just look back to the loss of the Raiders that it was that game.
- 17:42So they have gone with Jim Harball on a five year deal, the sixty
- 17:48year role finally bringing home the trophy after a distinguished record at Michigan where basically
- 18:00he got criticized each year for losing a game. That's the kind of job
- 18:03Michigan and the kind of fan base that they really felt like he was demand
- 18:08for the mission. A lot of speculation of different rulee violations under Jim Hardball.
- 18:15We talked about this being a great possibility, especially if he won,
- 18:22because it just seems like the NC double A and Jim Harball, who just
- 18:27were not going to get along, they were going to find any reason to
- 18:30suspend him. I think this is a good hire while you're laughing, because
- 18:37it just it seems like they were really kind of it was personal at some
- 18:45times, and I laugh at the ridiculousness of how it seems like something like
- 18:52a football governing body could be angry with a coach to the point where they
- 18:56will go out of their way to complicate his life and the program's life.
- 19:02And this started all the way back when he first got the job and he
- 19:03was taking the team. I think the first year he had spring camp down
- 19:07in South Florida for like two weeks. And next year, I think you
- 19:12took him the room that was groundbreaking and he was ushering in a new kind
- 19:18of mindset to college football. And I remember when he started, it was
- 19:26from the idea that the football team does all this, it really doesn't get
- 19:30a reward as a team. He was basically saying, the bowl game you
- 19:37send me to. Sending us to the Cotton Bowl is not any kind of
- 19:42where other sports benefit from us going out and winning and go on trips to
- 19:49different parts of the world for tournaments. And Jim Harball took the spring training
- 19:56and now he's won a championship for Michigan and will now be the head coach
- 20:02of the Chargers. The Chargers job for him, you would imagine is something
- 20:08is back in California. But he has Justin Herbert, so he has a
- 20:14quarterback that kind of fits the way in which he played long time. Bear
- 20:18played for the Colts, played a year or two for the Ravens. I
- 20:23got in in ninety four. I think Jim with the Colts Indianapolis Colts what
- 20:30I got in the league. And he stayed around to about two thousand,
- 20:37so that would have been about my first five or six seven years we were
- 20:41in the league together. He's sixty years old. We know his brother,
- 20:45John plays is the head coach of the Ravens, so they have been very
- 20:49supportive of each other. I see this as a win for the Chargers that
- 20:56they got Jim Harbaugh. What about you, guys, Yeah, I see
- 20:57it as a win because and you realize that they gave him all power for
- 21:02him to come there, because that's what it was gonna take to get a
- 21:04coach of Jim Harball. And now you look at all the quarterback matchups as
- 21:10far I mean head coaches with the quarterbacks who they're with right now. He
- 21:14does have a great quarterback. He will get the credit if if once I'm
- 21:21not gonna say they're gonna go out there and be in the super Bowl next
- 21:23year, but in two or three years down the line, it will be
- 21:26like, hey, Jim Harball was able to bring the best out of Aber.
- 21:32I don't know about that. I think the best of a Bear has
- 21:34already been on display. He might want to get the best out of the
- 21:37rest of the players. Give me the same, get everybody else to play
- 21:42well. You know, he gonna give you tough. He's gonna have a
- 21:45defense. He's gonna make the defense tough. They're gonna have that mindset of
- 21:48him. No, they're gonna give me a defense. He's not a defensive
- 21:52guy, but all his teams have that toughness in the past. As far
- 21:56as the defense, that's gonna He's gonna have a good staff. He's gonna
- 21:59give him a good coordinators. He's gonna have good people around him. But
- 22:03I mean, but him being a quarterback himself, what he did with Alex
- 22:07Smith and Colin Kaepernick to get to the championships and conference championships in the Super
- 22:11Bowl, he's gonna get them there, big Kenny. Is it Herbert or
- 22:18Abay or Herbert? I'm thinking Bobby. I'm apologized, Okay, I just
- 22:26want to I know how people are about their names. I just want to
- 22:29get it right. But let me ask you something. They gave him a
- 22:30five year deal. Is the patience in UH with the Chargers going to last
- 22:37that five years? I mean, he comes off as a national UH championship
- 22:42college coach. He's got all of this experience, and now he's got Herbert
- 22:48back there and he motivates the rest of these guys, and they still wash
- 22:52out in the in the player in the wild card round, or they still
- 22:56don't get to the divisional playoff. What happens then, is it, like,
- 23:00man, we want to send him somewhere else, back to college.
- 23:02He can't cut it at the NFL level. That's the only thing I worry
- 23:06about with him being inserted somewhere where he doesn't quote unquote have to really get
- 23:11it out the mud. He doesn't have to really build the squad. He's
- 23:15got key pieces already. So if it doesn't go well, are they going
- 23:18to still be coming for him? We'll be back more to the Sports Job
- 23:22Show. Talk about the hiring of John Harball to the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 23:29Well you will your secrets, John Bowayne, board of the Sports John Show

- 26:25the sports job. Wayne Gandy in the RADZO, Welcome back to this sports
- 26:56shock show. I'm the sports shock Wayne mccandy. The Tennessee Titans went out
- 27:02and hired Brian Callahan to be their head coach. Gentlemen, we were talking
- 27:07about Jim Harball being out with the Chargers. Girod Mayo is with the Patriots
- 27:15now as the head coach. So we got what four teams left? Yes,
- 27:19without coach, Panthers, Commanders, Falcons, there's one more out there,
- 27:34Falcons Commanders, Carolina Panthers, Seahawks, the Seahawks. Seahawks are still
- 27:42without a man to man their ship. A lot of speculation Bill Belichick might
- 27:48find his way here in the Atlanta we will see. But four jobs still
- 27:56available, and you imagine that is going to be here in the next week
- 28:00with the combine coming up here soon, the Super Bowl. A lot of
- 28:04these teams probably are looking at some of the offense or defensive coordinators for these
- 28:11four teams, like Aaron Glenn for the Lions or whoever's manning the ship.
- 28:17Steve Wilkes is the decordinator I think for the forty nine ers. So you
- 28:21have a lot of teams and someone like a Steve Wilkes would definitely be on
- 28:25the radar of like a Seattle Seahawks because they play against him. A lot
- 28:30of times, you grab people that either used to be with your team or
- 28:33been a direct opponent that you've been able to in your division. So in
- 28:38that bad just go ahead. Now, I was gonna ask, do you
- 28:41think I know the Falcon has had two interviews with Jim Harbor. Think not
- 28:48having a quarterback like Herbert in place and not probably wanting to relinquish all the
- 28:56power. That's why we lost down on a possibility of Jim Harbaugh here in
- 29:00Atlanta. Yeah, I would think it would be more of the power.
- 29:07How much power there will let him really wield in the team. The Falcons
- 29:12do have a top ten pick, so any coach is going to be able
- 29:17to go out and draft the quarterback they would like based on how they want
- 29:22to run their system. You imagine the Falcons with the eighth pick will have
- 29:27the eighth pick, Yes, will get a quarterback or trade for one in
- 29:33that situation. And some of it is what direction the team thinks they should
- 29:37go in, should it be a defensive mind offense. You just have different
- 29:42philosophies. You see the Patriots, I think they got their eye on how
- 29:48Demico Ryan situation is with the Texans as how they want. Then you have
- 29:55someone like the Tennessee Titans who would look at how success full Callahan has been.
- 30:02He was with the Bengals right as the coordinator up there and matching the
- 30:07head coach with the quarterback in the situation. And I realized the last couple
- 30:11of days why I have so such a disconnect with this new world of everything
- 30:18and everybody's conversation has something to do with the quarterback, and it just plays
- 30:22off of that I played. I tried to make it like it was more,
- 30:26but it's really just that I played football, and I never walked in
- 30:30the huddle and expected any more out of the quarterback than the other ten positions
- 30:37out on the field. And when you turn the film on Monday. I
- 30:42know the fans sit there and oh, it was the quarterback. But when
- 30:48we're watching the film, the receiver didn't get out the break like he was
- 30:52supposed to, the tight end didn't run the route he was supposed to,
- 30:56the right guard missed the block. So it rotated, each and every play
- 31:03rotated or why to play didn't have success. But outside of that, if
- 31:06you've never been in that and you just watching from TV, everything is,
- 31:10oh, the quarterback, Oh, the quarterback, Oh the quarterback, and
- 31:15then infuriates me. And I've learned, and I'm talking about in a two
- 31:19day period, Big Kenny, to push the brake because since if you don't
- 31:25have that experience, all you're going to do is become a mouthpiece of what
- 31:27you see on TV or here on radio to where everything is the quarterback.
- 31:33But I was never on the plane back home thinking, man, we lost
- 31:37this game because of how people talk about the quarterback. Right because on that
- 31:45third and one when you didn't pull, or you went the wrong way,
- 31:48or we made the wrong check, or it rotates on why each and every
- 31:52play didn't work. But on television they nine out of ten times is the
- 32:00quarterback? Do you think that the play didn't work when he didn't have anything
- 32:06to do with the play. Do you think that a lot of Do you
- 32:12think a lot of the focus when things do work is on the quarterback,
- 32:15So it's just the reverse when they don't. Because when he makes that amazing
- 32:22throw or he shows that phenomenal touch or whatever other adjective they use to describe
- 32:29his play, he scrambles and gets yards that nobody saw him being able to
- 32:35get. That kind of thing. That puts a lot of the spotlight on
- 32:38the quarterback for the success of the team. So when they're not having success,
- 32:44sure you didn't run your route, but he should have been able to
- 32:46do something with his legs. Remember this is the leg guy. This is
- 32:50due with the touch. So I think sometimes we put so much weight on
- 32:54the quarterback position as a whole. Like when we talk about the team facing
- 33:00each other. It's no longer the Ravens versus the whomever. It's Lamar Jackson
- 33:07versus right right, Patrick Mahomes. That's the easiest way to sell it to
- 33:14you and get you to as a public, to buy into it. It
- 33:17creates this idea of But as I said the other day, it's not like
- 33:22Patrick Mahomes actually plays Lamar Jackson at all. They literally, other than handshaking,
- 33:30do nothing against each other in a game. I had to take a
- 33:35step back over the last couple of days because people and it's like everything is
- 33:38about the quarterback, and I'm sitting here like, well, and I know
- 33:44why, because I understand that every play doesn't have anything to do with the
- 33:49quarterback. Even when I call games, if a play happened, I really
- 33:52take you back to the beginning that this play is all about the protection had
- 33:58nothing to do with the quarterback. Or it has to be the running back
- 34:00picked up the blitz, or how the receiver created the space for the ball
- 34:05getting there. But on television they tell the bad producer it was all the
- 34:09quarterback. Well that's what they laid on his feet, So then that's all
- 34:16he becomes. We think about it. Now, we're in an era where
- 34:22sports has become entertainment. All entertainment has to have a hero. So they
- 34:27needed a main character for football. It has become the quarterback. Because there
- 34:31are so many other instrumental positions. A lot of times they get mentioned,
- 34:37but the quarterback's good, bad, or and different. We've seen, Yeah,
- 34:42I got what you're saying for Kenny, and I'm just saying the people
- 34:45can sit down with me, have a conversation with me, be around me
- 34:49from years, and still leave talking about the quarterback. I'll gave you a
- 34:55whole tutorial about something that should have opened your eye, and you still are
- 35:00leaving telling them about whatever we didn't do or did do. Have something to
- 35:04do with the quarterback. Quarterback, quarterback, quarterback, quarterback, quarterback,
- 35:08quarterback, quarterback, quarterback, Like Greg just made a second quarterback, missed
- 35:13the kick, he doesn't kick. I'm sorry he didn't. He didn't,
- 35:19he didn't do some of them hold you know that kind of stuff. So,
- 35:22but that's just where it is. Jim Harpball being out in the Chargers
- 35:28makes for a great division of coaches out there. Now. When you tell
- 35:31about Antonio Peers, Andy Reid, Jim Harball, Sean Peyton, you can
- 35:37get any kind of antics. Have those four different personalities out in that AFC
- 35:45West, but Kansas City, Baltimore guys who are gonna pick that game later
- 35:50in the show, as well as the Detroit San Francisco. I think people
- 35:57are lightweight, cheering and hope beween the Lions win people because you know,
- 36:05they just are just pulling on people's heart streams. You know, the poor
- 36:10little lion and he you know, Paul Wow. You know it's just good
- 36:21team. Somebody give the Lions a break. They're just playing on your You
- 36:25know, nobody wants something they beat. Don't don't hurt the Lions again them.
- 36:32Let them. Let them roar like a lion. Wiz. That's the
- 36:45lion from the Whiz. That's my only reference. I didn't have. I
- 36:51didn't have salad in school. You think I had lions. That's my only
- 36:54reference to the Lions on down the road. But four jobs, Carolina,
- 37:02who have they been interviewing. I think they interviewed uh Ben Johnson, the
- 37:08Lions offensive coordinator. The Lions offensive and defensive coordinator have been being interviewed for
- 37:15head coaching jobs. So as well as they're doing this season, if both
- 37:20of their coordinators get jobs, then where would they leave them. So getting
- 37:24to the Super Bowl definitely would make them even hotter, especially being with Carolina
- 37:30because you have such the young quarterback there and the trash get him trying to
- 37:36get him going. The Falcons are now down to Bill Belichick and oh man,
- 37:43I'm so I don't think we're going to give up the power. Belichick's
- 37:46going one more is down to Belichick and Jason. Yeah, we're to choices
- 37:54Jake from State Farlichick. It's just like we forgot about Seattle. We really
- 37:59haven't. I've been hearing anything about who's interviewing for that job, have we.
- 38:04I've only heard dan Quinn so far. Oh to bring him back home?
- 38:07Yeah, okay, that would that would be a nice picking dan Is.
- 38:13I think maybe fifty five fifty six. That's just stress that Moses looking
- 38:19as that's just the stress. He's not that old. You need to retire.

- 41:53Wayne Gandy, Good morning. Tell you out there, Big Kenny dan Quinn
- 41:58is fifty three years Oh, I told you that's just he went up to
- 42:00the mountaintop and saw the burning bush and it turned to white. That stress
- 42:07of his half white and he ain't never been the same. Coaching has a
- 42:12component like the president being the president, where it just well, it's going
- 42:16to age you. It's going to make one part of aging standout, whether
- 42:21it's great hair or baggy eyes, something like that. Usually in the coaching
- 42:25profession out there, Big Kenny says, a lot of you out there are
- 42:30cheering for the Lions and the Ravens because you're tired of the Chiefs and the
- 42:39forty nine ers. In Webster, the word for that is in the h
- 42:46department, it's called haters. Haters. Never never hate on a team.
- 42:53Go for the other team if that's what you like, but don't hate on
- 42:57a team because they success, right, that makes sense. That's not a
- 43:02thing. That's that's that's that's not a thing. Go with the Colors.
- 43:07Go with that. You like Lions and all that, but don't go because
- 43:10the other team and go too much. Kids play. That's called participation trophy
- 43:22started. But the Lions do seem to have. And that's why in this
- 43:25matchup. Sometimes you think about advertisers. And when I think, like we
- 43:35said with the World Series, we estimated with that to those two teams that
- 43:38would be the lowest ranked World Series, and by the end they were saying
- 43:45it was one of the lowest or not the lowest ever, or at least
- 43:47in the last couple of decades, it was the lowest ranked world series.
- 43:52And this as marketing. You have four teams that you easily get to build
- 44:00any kind of scenario, no matter which for end up being there, from
- 44:06the Lamar Jackson on one side versus Rock Party, or Lamar Jackson versus the
- 44:13Lions, and will Jarrett Golf get his ring finally on you know that kind
- 44:19of scenario the Chiefs back for all the Swifties, so there's no losing if
- 44:23Kansas City goes to it. And then if you get the forty nine Ers
- 44:29versus the Chiefs. They's just always to market that you have four teams that
- 44:34have some kind of storyline that can sell tickets. You think if Kansas City
- 44:38goes that Usher will sing to Taylor Swift directly, I'm saying Taylor Swift might
- 44:45come on stage. They might create a song that an original original they released.
- 44:52Just got two weeks. They got two weeks to come up with a
- 44:53song. Aisle Height it two weeks and she she'll come up. She'll do
- 45:00her part, and he'll take his shirt off and it's say an eighteen million
- 45:05copy bam, and and it's this time she will just pull his shirt off.
- 45:08It is legal to do that instead of Janet and justin Timber. Yeah,
- 45:13yeah, could just snatch his shirt off, yeah and smack him and
- 45:17smack him. Yeah, and there you go. It's the s Yeah,
- 45:22he just write up right her in there. Yeah. You think they're gonna
- 45:25have a I'm quite sure he has one of those supermodel songs or somewhere she
- 45:30came out. She gonna come out and don't have one of those times?
- 45:35What's what's one of the songs? He has one of those kinds of some
- 45:40of that Yeah every day? Yeah, come on, Yeah, he comes
- 45:58Taylor on. You know what I said about hate the bad producer want to
- 46:01move but he can't, but he hates on it right now. He's gonna
- 46:07that makes you want to move on it. It was around with Ersha,
- 46:13probably you got you got a problem with. So he drops this and Taylor
- 46:19come walk walking out and they'll remix it and she'll she'll sing it Jersey,
- 46:24Oh my goodness in the eighty seven Jersey, and then we'll sell the picture
- 46:30of the eighty seven what do they call that, greg when they just sell

- 46:45but you didn't have a salad bar. I did you need? You need?
- 46:50You need to go back and fine, because I had a salad bar
- 46:52in the fifth grade. Listen, now, the people's probably the people probably
- 46:58were still in the money. You have in a salad bar. We should
- 47:00have had a salad bar, but we didn't because the school system was still
- 47:04in the money. Salad is cheap. I'm saying school because this is corrupt
- 47:09there. But then I'm saying, I just want to let the audience know
- 47:14he's still hot. Every every break he go back to y'all had a salad
- 47:17bar, different dressing and stuff. Y'all had different flavor dressings. Well back
- 47:22then you only had three dressing must have been up, so that's different flavors.

- 51:04news gossip blah blah blah blah blah. Oh is that Kenyl again? Hey?
- 51:23Bringing bring bringing bad bringing bad lead, got me drinking big Welcome back
- 51:30to the show. This whatsh up? Wayne Canteen. The Milwaukee Bucks decided
- 51:36that they had just had enough. I'm always so interested in these firings and
- 51:40hirings in sports when they all happened in the same year. It just confuses
- 51:47me of how it came to pass without some kind of criminal act that the
- 51:57Milwaukee Bucks decided after forty three games that the man they had hired, Adrian
- 52:04Griffin as their head coach this year, was just not going to be the
- 52:08answer. I just don't know. To me, you fire everybody that told
- 52:15you to go get Adrian Griffin and keep Adrian because you gave me some bad
- 52:22business advice. If I'm firing the guy halfway through the season, I can
- 52:30get even a full season and then you fire, right, but just halfway.
- 52:37Remember basketball for eighty two regular seasons, so basically forty three games is
- 52:39halfway through. You no longer want this, gentleman. Either you got bad
- 52:45information. Either you didn't talk to your superstar from the jump, because we
- 52:50do know the superstar in the NBA has a lot of weight on who's the
- 52:53head coach. And now you go out, you get Doc Rivers. Doc
- 53:01Rivers has won one title, correct, but it still makes you wonder why
- 53:07Doc Rivers is such a hot commodity. In a lot of ways, that
- 53:13team seemed to bend over backwards to grab him, and as though he is
- 53:19Phil Jackson or Pat Riley or Greg Popovich, guys with multiple rings under their
- 53:28belt. Doc Rivers a great coach, been a great coach, But he
- 53:31seems, and is his record seems that I can only get you so far
- 53:35as well? Is that not correct? At times? Yes, it shows
- 53:38that since because I don't even know has he been there in one final?
- 53:43I don't even think he'd been to a conference finals. He's been to two
- 53:45finals, he won one. But I'm saying since but since his winning,
- 53:50I'm saying, I don't think the teams that since he left Boston, has
- 53:52anybody been to a conference final? No? No, And that Boston championship
- 53:58was what like eight Oh, I was gonna give him credit. I was
- 54:02about to say, like twenty twelve, two thousand and eight, I was
- 54:06playing, Oh, okay, I'm still on the football field. That's how
- 54:09long it's been. Wow. And they went and got Doc again. Not
- 54:15questioning his ability, I'm just saying they're getting him like he has led teams
- 54:21more. I didn't know why they got rid of Mike Budenholzen other than I
- 54:25guess Yannis, you know, because you do. It's kind of vice.
- 54:31It's kind of reverse in basketball where the superstar has to kind of give the
- 54:36thumbs up. And I was going to ask without the credentialed trophy tally that
- 54:46a lot of other coaches like Phil Jackson may have, Doc may have something
- 54:52in him that he reaches these players. They when you talk to the players,
- 54:58they all want a Doc Rivers as a coach because it seems like wherever
- 55:01he goes I've questioned the same logic how he goes places, and it's not
- 55:07like they go back to back to back championships. When he gets there,
- 55:10they're formidable. But that's about it. But everybody really loves him and they
- 55:16keep wanting him in the mix. So maybe he just especially in this new
- 55:21era of load management and stuff like that, maybe they want somebody who can
- 55:24speak to this generation of player. Well, Adrian Griffin have him second in
- 55:29the East. He was thirty and thirteen second in the East right now before
- 55:37the firing. I don't understand, you know, like, where is it
- 55:40if it's one thing if you told me, okay, we was projected to
- 55:45win the East and we're in ninth place and they still have to pay.
- 55:52But for me to be in second place and we're only halfway through this year,
- 55:58we're dealing with a new lineup of the new players. It's just a
- 56:01very strange firing in my mind. Well, I know ESPN steven A.
- 56:08Smith, he had been speaking on coach Griffin since December, like he something
- 56:14was buzzing about that they were showing back clips that he was going back and
- 56:17from my understanding, I mean and it was well with Sports Illustrated, but
- 56:22the story from Sports Illustrated yesterday said he was jokingly was telling Janice's brother,
- 56:28you're committing insurance fraud by you know, being on a team. You know
- 56:32you shouldn't even be on a team, and that may be some of the
- 56:36things he felt like, you're going after my brother and some things like that.
- 56:40And then then you got the personality of two superstars now with Dame Lillard
- 56:45and Joannist there, they're thinking that Doc Rivers can handle that a little bit
- 56:49better. Okay, but I'm handling good. Remember I'm second in the East.
- 56:52Yeah, what is your proof that I'm not handling it well? So
- 56:55that's making where that's where we're come back again. Is Janice a coach,
- 57:00because like you said, we don't know what happened with coach Bud right.
- 57:02Now we got this situation. Darwin Ham, he was there with Coach Bud
- 57:07and some other coaches that was there prior that was on the staff that was
- 57:10here in Atlanta with Coach Bud. Those people wouldn't even look at, you
- 57:15know, in the as far as the position. So it's just a lot
- 57:17of questions surrounding the whole Joannice, as you say, the NBA superstar and
- 57:23his power in that position. Yeah, I just feel like this has to
- 57:28be a little more personal than record and performance. I just got this team.
- 57:32I just kind of put it together, and even in that we're second,
- 57:37we were like two games out of first, so plenty of time to
- 57:42catch up. But Doc Rivers leaving the booth of ABC now going to in
- 57:49ABC and ESPN, they lose out as well because remember Doc Rivers, George
- 57:53Burke was supposed or well not supposed to. They did replace Mark Jackson and
- 58:00Jeff Van Gundy, So now you got to go find somebody to fill in
- 58:05for Doc Rivers now that he's going to be the Milwaukee head coach for the

- 1:02:27into Conference Championship Sunday where we have the Kansaity Chiefs taking on the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:02:37That game gets today started at three o'clock and then at six point thirty
- 1:02:42somewhere in there, the Lions of Detroit will take on the Niners of San
- 1:02:47Francisco. Fourteens for talented teams, four teams that are no surprise to be
- 1:02:55where they are. They all were able to amass eleven twelve thirteen wins doing
- 1:03:02the regular season. Forty nine ers in Baltimore had buyes if the Lions were
- 1:03:09second in the NFC, the Chiefs for third. So no big surprise that
- 1:03:16these four teams are there. And as I talked about, storylines, so
- 1:03:22that will allow everyone to tune in regardless of which two teams find themselves in
- 1:03:30Super Bowl out in Vegas. Splitting the check. People are saying that splitting
- 1:03:37the check is one of the most controversial subjects now in twenty twenty four,
- 1:03:43it is becoming falling out of favor. Guys, are y'all split check?
- 1:03:49Splitters. When you go out, like to dinner or lunch, No,
- 1:03:52no, no comanchi depends on how many people. Depends on how many people
- 1:03:59Okay to say us four, you split the check or you just pay individual,
- 1:04:05like for what for what we got? Yeah? Yeah, well I'm
- 1:04:10paying individually. Okay, bad producing If I invited you guys, I'm gonna
- 1:04:15pay for it. So but I mean if not, if we come together
- 1:04:18a conclusion on what we're gonna do, we'll do it. But if I
- 1:04:20if I initiate it, say guys, let's go to lunch, that should
- 1:04:25be all me. Okay, But if we all just say let's go meet
- 1:04:28for lunch, should we just split the check. But a lot of times
- 1:04:31with guys I've seen egos, I mean me and my friends. Sometimes you
- 1:04:34want to be the one I'm gonna be. I'm gonna pick it up.
- 1:04:36You sneak around trying to pick it up and pay for it before then That's
- 1:04:40just how most friends I got we are. But other than that, you
- 1:04:45know, it's really no set who got it. Because some guys may drink,
- 1:04:48when some may drink more than not drinking, you just want to just
- 1:04:50pick it up whoever whoever got it. Kay, Big Kenny, You're more
- 1:04:56of an individual payer. I'm more like bad producer. If I say,
- 1:05:01hey, let's go out, then it's always I would pay. But if
- 1:05:06we're somewhere and somebody goes, man, I'm hungry, and we go,
- 1:05:10yeah, let's just meet up over at, I would probably do the individual
- 1:05:14pay thing. I usually wait to see what the the climate is at the
- 1:05:20table because some people get offended if you try and pick up the check.
- 1:05:24I've had people take a man. I got my own, and I wasn't
- 1:05:27trying to say that you didn't friend. I was just trying to be hospitable
- 1:05:30and pick up lunch. But you know people can be weird. So and
- 1:05:34why do you guys think that splitting the check is becoming falling out of favor
- 1:05:42and people are just individually paying because people are taking advantage of friendships. I
- 1:05:49can see it like even just working in the industry. Outside of working in
- 1:05:56let's say, for example, you go somewhere and you always got one person
- 1:06:00and it never wants to put in on the VIP session or the ever puts
- 1:06:03in, but they always want to be the first one to order the lobster
- 1:06:08and the fill a but when they pay in or when it stay turned to
- 1:06:12pay, they're not spending that type of or they're not taking you that type
- 1:06:15of environment. So I think that a lot of people are going back to
- 1:06:19bearing how your energy is with me. I think a lot of people running
- 1:06:25the issues with splitting checks when it comes to tipping. Some people only see
- 1:06:30tipping as no matter what the amount of the check was, two dollars is
- 1:06:35what I'm putting on the table, and I don't want that energy with my
- 1:06:41splitting money. So you know where they should have gotten seven dollars from you
- 1:06:46alone? You put up the two dollars. Now the rest of the table
- 1:06:49has to somehow make up that or bear the brunt of being seen as cheap
- 1:06:54skates. So I'll do a separate check and I'll tip well with mine.
- 1:06:59But see atomatic, I think it's like I agree with that. It has
- 1:07:06to do with people trying to take advantage of others. I heard a podcast
- 1:07:14about this kind of topic earlier, about like a birthday dinner and someone felt
- 1:07:18like they spent fifty dollars on what on their meal or whatever, and having
- 1:07:24to split it with everyone it ends up being, you know, four or
- 1:07:28five times that. So I think it's people trying to people don't want to
- 1:07:33get taken advantage of, and they're protecting against that. Okay, I guess
- 1:07:39I never really sit to meals with people A lot of times I don't see
- 1:07:44as friends, right, so it's hard for me to to to really comment
- 1:07:53on it. I'm not at a lot of business right meals. I guess
- 1:07:58if we're in a business set thing, we just paid for what we order.
- 1:08:03But if I thought of you as friends and we're gonna have more meals
- 1:08:08down the road, we just pick up the tab and see. And that's
- 1:08:14what I'm saying. In the majority of my personal situations, I'm only eating
- 1:08:17with people that I have close personal friendships with. But in business situations,
- 1:08:21generally that's picked up by the company or the promoter or whomever is handling the
- 1:08:28expenses for that particular outing. So and I guess a lot of its case
- 1:08:33by case. Yeah, I guess. So. The Lakers are rumored to
- 1:08:36be looking for a big trade here. The trade led deadline for the NBA
- 1:08:43is February the eighth. Names like Trey Young here in Atlanta have been put
- 1:08:48on the board for the Lakers to trade for. Did John T. Murray
- 1:08:54someone here in Atlanta as well the Lakers looking to trade for. And Donovan
- 1:09:00Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who I got to check out a couple of
- 1:09:04days ago here in it And to Donovan Mitchell, longtime jazz he's in Cleveland.
- 1:09:12This is his second year bad producer as a Laker A claiming to be
- 1:09:19a Laker fan. We really don't feel that vibe from you a lot.
- 1:09:28Who out of those three would you like Donovan Mitchell? Comench you a few
- 1:09:42of the Lakers? I would say Murray. But I don't think there's a
- 1:09:51trade for the Lakers to make any way to get any of them. Why
- 1:09:57not? What what do they have to trade? They have existing players,
- 1:10:02They have a couple of first round picks that could come up here in the
- 1:10:05next year or two. I don't think the Lakers have anybody that the Hawks
- 1:10:12want. They want they want Austin reid Well, sometimes teams cam Reddish back
- 1:10:17Well. Sometimes teams want people they that contracts are running out to free up
- 1:10:23money. Remember that's a that's a big thing too. If I can get
- 1:10:26me two or three guys that come April off the books, all trades aren't
- 1:10:31for oh, I'm gonna keep you down the road. I can't understand that.
- 1:10:38But if the Hawks want to feel like they got something in the trade,
- 1:10:45I don't think that's coming from a team like the Lakers. Their their
- 1:10:48draft picks are six seven years from now, and there are a lot of
- 1:10:55guys. They do have a lot of guys on one year deals, But
- 1:10:58does the salaries match up enough to get a guy like Murray, or or
- 1:11:03Tray or Donovvan to get any of them. I don't think there is any
- 1:11:09trade for the Lakers to make to where they can get that guy. It's
- 1:11:13like trying to you're trying to flip something for next to nothing. No,
- 1:11:19I don't think that's I'm flipping for that. You're not going to pay the
- 1:11:24guy. One of the things with the Javante de Johnte Murray trade is that
- 1:11:29he's still on his last deal. So the two years he's been here,
- 1:11:32he's been under the Spurs contract. The deal the extension starts next year.
- 1:11:39So if the falc excuse me, if the Hawks have decided they don't think
- 1:11:43he's worth the four year extension, then here's the perfect opportunity to dump a
- 1:11:48guaranteed contract. I don't want to pay you the four years one hundred and
- 1:11:53twenty million, but if I keep you, I'm gonna be on the hook
- 1:11:59for that. So I'm just understand like trading him, possibly trading him.
- 1:12:03But I'm just saying, like to the Lakers there, it's lb for I'm
- 1:12:09dumping the salary. No, no, no, the something is I dumped
- 1:12:13the salary. It's got to be a multi team trade. Somebody's got to
- 1:12:15be that's something. Well, I'm saying that both of you, not really.
- 1:12:19I don't know about you, but you're not weighing in the Dumping of
- 1:12:24salary for teams is just as much important as getting a player if I can
- 1:12:30dump because this money is guaranteed, which means I don't get to cut you.
- 1:12:35I'm on the hook for the one hundred and twenty million. You're saying
- 1:12:41you'll take the salary and send me a guy that I owe eight million and
- 1:12:45can cut in April and keep the one hundred and twenty million. What do
- 1:12:49you mean it's no benefit in that it's not gonna. It's not gonna.
- 1:12:58I guess that would be the benefit as far as like making the team better,
- 1:13:02or the improving the roster in some way that if that is not a
- 1:13:08priority, or if that's like, you know, a low on the list
- 1:13:12of priorities as far as making a trade like this, then by all means
- 1:13:15do it. But I'm looking at it as if you're trying to improve the
- 1:13:18roster, then then this trade doesn't make any sense. I mean, I
- 1:13:26know, like a team like the Lakers, they're trying, they're you know,
- 1:13:28they're trying to get back into contention right now. So you get you
- 1:13:31bringing a guy like Murray and then maybe you can resign him in the summer.
- 1:13:35But that is I guess I don't see it as anybody making a trade
- 1:13:44with the Lakers to help them improve their roster. Why not, because the
- 1:13:50Lakers are trying to improve their roster to win. Now. I'm trying to
- 1:13:55clear up money so I can go and get a free agent. A lot
- 1:13:59of teams, the Falcons for a while there was so close to the salary
- 1:14:03they didn't have any money. If I don't have any money, I can't
- 1:14:08go get anybody. It doesn't matter what I want to do. I'm stuck.
- 1:14:13That's where That's where I think the Lakers are. I think they're stuck
- 1:14:15with who they have because they I don't think there's a bunch of teams that
- 1:14:23are looking to salary dumb in a trade with the Lakers in which they give
- 1:14:28up, you know, one of their top players. But we will see
- 1:14:30I think a million and one hundred and twenty million. That that sound like?
- 1:14:36That sounded like a deal to me. It sounds like a deal to
- 1:14:39me. I can rebe healed with you know. I wish was on the
- 1:14:44CBA because the salaries are sold. I'm saying now, I wish you could
- 1:14:48dump your wife like that before day I get rid of you before like the
- 1:14:53third of February. Then I get the only spark with eight million and keep

- 1:19:44Lakers, which one of those three which you like? If I were the

- 1:19:57I mean, you know it's gonna cost us, but I mean he's

- 1:20:04have now and show improvement. I don't know if it'll make them tons better,
- 1:20:12but it'll definitely get them over some of the humps that they seem to

- 1:20:21three choices. They give them a true two guard that that can make something
- 1:20:29off of the dribble. Now, the thing what Greg is saying is more
- 1:20:32true for Donovan Mitchell than Murray as far as the Lakers having the access,
- 1:20:38I mean the assets to be able to get for for Mitchell. Because they're
- 1:20:45Cleveland, they're gonna require a little bit more. Yeah, it's gonna acquire
- 1:20:47little bit more from Mitchell than Murray. Murray is more likely to go than

- 1:22:46a son now, an adult son who's also called and you know that wasn't
- 1:22:51his son kidnapped and murdered. That's the reason, the original reason he started
- 1:22:56the the show origin son Adam Kenny O more doorbell service through the door ring
- 1:23:04ring doorbell. And what it is is they're not offering they're not allowing police
- 1:23:11agencies to access the ring doorbell footage of their customers in they want to charge
- 1:23:17them. No, they're just restricting. It used to be where the police
- 1:23:21could make a request directly to the neighbor, like look, there was a
- 1:23:28crime committee, we need your footage and ring your thought that was the whole
- 1:23:30purpose. No, No, that is for me to see who is coming
- 1:23:34to my house, to see me personally. It was never meant to catch
- 1:23:39action out on the street. Which is what the watchdog committees that have been
- 1:23:44pursuing this had problems with, is the fact that you are using a individual
- 1:23:49citizen's surveillance for their personal property to solve crimes. And then one of the
- 1:23:59things that because we don't want to help the police off crime. Well,
- 1:24:01and then they were saying, well, the lawyer's got to be a vaulved
- 1:24:04You gotta get the subpoenas you gotta that's what that's basically what. So murder
- 1:24:09happens in front of my doorbell ring, and my doorbell ring could actually solve
- 1:24:14the murder. And I'm supposed to act like in cases of emergency and exigent
- 1:24:18circumstances, they can override the need for a warrant. But just like for
- 1:24:26your eyePhone, and they can still get the footage. They just have to
- 1:24:29request a warrant for your footage from the front porch. And they used to
- 1:24:32be getting it without your permission. It used to be without permission at all
- 1:24:36and had to pay a fine and they probably was losing a lot of cases.
- 1:24:41Possibly that's a technicality. You didn't have a warrant. You went and
- 1:24:45got this person. Because lawyers are going to find different ways to help get
- 1:24:48their people off. So I mean technicality such as you didn't get a warrant,
- 1:24:51you just gathered this information, got you Okay, No, we're just
- 1:24:58getting the information by the law. Yeah this a peanut. Yeah that's good.

- 1:28:00it for a finish? Does he step back? Wit? Racious? War?
- 1:28:10Shock shum this w shock Wayne again? D l s U versus South
- 1:28:15Carolina tonight at seven pm. The women will do battle and from what the
- 1:28:21bad producer is bringing to us today, some of you, if you want
- 1:28:27to see this in person, will have to pay top dollar to see this
- 1:28:32game, which is at eight pm tonight down in Rouge, South Carolina,
- 1:28:41being number one LSU, a top ten team, only two losses on the
- 1:28:46season, Angel Reese and this team very dangerous upwards around three thousand dollars for
- 1:28:54a set of tickets or one ticket each, three thousand each, Yeah,
- 1:28:59thirty five hundred. Stub Hub had tickets road J Section one twelve Okay,
- 1:29:04thirty five hundred dollars a piece for each seat and you can see Andrew Reeson
- 1:29:12take on Don Staley and the University of South Carolina game car and I got
- 1:29:15to get to Baytom Route got to get there. Okay. So it sounds
- 1:29:18like a TV watching game with a twelve piece, I put it on two
- 1:29:24TV tonight, I put it on, and I go ahead and do a
- 1:29:30fifteen piece. Why stop it to twelve for a regular season games that sound
- 1:29:36like the price of a Duke Carolina tickets seeing those price type of prices at
- 1:29:43those games and let me ask, I've never paid premium prices for probably anything.
- 1:29:53I'm not a paid premium price person. But for a sporting event to
- 1:29:57pay thirty five hundred dollars for a ticket? What am I? What experience
- 1:30:01am I hoping to have? Or what is it that? What would drive
- 1:30:05a person to want to be a part of something that bad where I would
- 1:30:10have to not only get to Baton Bruge, but come up with roughly seven
- 1:30:14g's for me and a person to enjoy ourselves. Well, would you pay
- 1:30:17that much to see anything? No? Okay, then you wouldn't get it.
- 1:30:21Yeah, I wouldn't. I wouldn't get it. No, So me
- 1:30:25me explain that if you wouldn't do it for anything, means you wouldn't get
- 1:30:29it. Okay, No, I'm not. Is there something that you would
- 1:30:34pay that much for? I would. I might pay to see this if
- 1:30:38it was a national title game, if it was here in Atlanta, Right,
- 1:30:43But I ain't go. I'm not about to make it. I'm not
- 1:30:45about to drive down to bat Well. I'm saying the whole experience I was
- 1:30:48trying to. I mean I would take it to because Columbia is so close.
- 1:30:53It's about an hour and a half, maybe less than two hours to
- 1:30:56get to Columbia. I would you could probably take a chance to try to
- 1:30:59drive see that. But you know, yeah, I'm saying I've delved into
- 1:31:03paying for NBA finals. I went to see Jordan and the NBA Finals.
- 1:31:11I've gone to see different sporting events. If it's where I am and it's
- 1:31:17some kind of final, I'm not about to go to Biloxi, Mississippi to
- 1:31:24pay money to see something. But it's in Atlanta or the city that I'm
- 1:31:28in at the time. Sure I would do it, but it would have
- 1:31:32to mostly likely be the championship, not just a regular season, regular season
- 1:31:39the game for me to pay those kinds of prices, and then I gotta
- 1:31:45get to biden Ruge. So I would rather go to New Orleans, get
- 1:31:49some oysters and watch it at a sports bar right then to keep driving because
- 1:31:57I got to keep driving to get to biden Rude. So, but that
- 1:32:00is tonight at eight pm. And when I said that bickin some people they
- 1:32:03just yeah, yeah, for some people, does not resonate. Everybody doesn't
- 1:32:11spend money for everything. There's just some things some people will spend for trips,
- 1:32:16but won't spend for uh health insurance? Right, some people will spend
- 1:32:23it. That's true, that's true. No, I'm serious. They'll go
- 1:32:27to Dubai, but you ask them, then you come back. We go
- 1:32:35to the dentist. Man, I ain't got that kind of money. Well
- 1:32:38yeah, sure it's a I ain't got Okay, but you've been to Dubai
- 1:32:42twice, so it's just whatever you're how you would like to spend your money.
- 1:32:46Cam Newton's still talking, and I guess this is just him trying to
- 1:32:51make sure that he stays in the news cycle as he promotes his Cam Newton
- 1:32:58tour and he on some kind of tour. Yeah, him and Brandon Marshall
- 1:33:00podcast tour, podcast tour with Brandon Marshall. Wait now, wait now,
- 1:33:05wait now a tour like they're gonna go different places and talk. Yes,
- 1:33:12that's what bad Produca got him doing. He's the booking agent, so so
- 1:33:16so he gonna go to different places and they're gonna set up a microphone and
- 1:33:20then Cam Newton's gonna talk and Brandon Marshall. Oh yeah, well that makes
- 1:33:25it. That makes it a go. See when you add Brandon Marshall to
- 1:33:29it, But Cam then asked over the last couple of days if he came
- 1:33:32where would he come back to play? And he said for the Atlanta Falcons
- 1:33:38of course, which that wasn't out of the wheelhouse. He lives here.
- 1:33:44I think he raises his children here. Uh, he's from the Atlanta area,
- 1:33:48So that wasn't like some revelation he does his podcast out of Atlanta.
- 1:33:55Does if you had asked me that for the million, well, with Cam,
- 1:33:58I would say, well Atlanta, you base right, So sketch you
- 1:34:02one to say anything like that. But Cam Newton and this conversation continues with
- 1:34:10him because Cam is still what thirty three thirty four at this point in his
- 1:34:15life years old. People keep mentioning him in some kind of reference. But
- 1:34:24he hasn't been on a football field the last two seasons. He's missed the
- 1:34:28last two seasons, correct, the full seasons where he was New England.
- 1:34:32And we've talked about that several times of why and how Now you think he
- 1:34:40may be saying that, Sorry, Kenny, I think he may be saying
- 1:34:43that. Just was go off to Bill Belichick talking. He and Belichick did
- 1:34:45have a great relationship. You think maybe that's where a lot of that's coming
- 1:34:50from I think that Cam is a good marketer. He knows how to sell
- 1:34:56hisself and he's positioning himself to be Shannon Sharp two, that kind of person.
- 1:35:11We don't have time to go to club Shaysha. Come by club Cam
- 1:35:15Cam, right, and you know there has to be there's McDonald's. But
- 1:35:18there has to be a bird king if there's got to be there. I
- 1:35:25wanted to ask with Oftentimes we talk about Cam. We talk about that the
- 1:35:29talent is undeniable. All of his pitfalls seem to be related to his lack
- 1:35:34of performance as it is related to his attitude. If we can see that
- 1:35:41from the outside looking in, and he himself sees what he has said out
- 1:35:45of his own mouth, is our quarterbacks with less talent than he has getting
- 1:35:49picked up and put on squads. When does he have the get out of
- 1:35:56my own way conversation with himself? When does someone have that get out of
- 1:36:00your own this this Cam Newton podcast tour doesn't scream I'm ready to play football
- 1:36:09to me? Well, I mean it's all I'm saying. You still got
- 1:36:13people hollering Colin Kaepernick. So Cam, Cam's got more of a chance to
- 1:36:18get back. I'm saying, if he were to display some I really want
- 1:36:23to get back in football, and this about his himself, but this this
- 1:36:29podcast, this uh setting himself up to be the next Shay Shape. Doesn't
- 1:36:34scream I'm serious about coming to your team and playing my heart out. But
- 1:36:40I think it's the same as a Colin Kaepernick. I don't think either one
- 1:36:43of them were particularly trying to get back on the football field. They just
- 1:36:47want using the buzz to continue their endorsements, to try to create that second
- 1:36:55career. Okay, that is there for them, for them being young former
- 1:37:03quarterbacks. Notoriety you just kind of keep that humming going to somebody maybe in
- 1:37:12the television world, entertainment world knows how to harness what it is. Because
- 1:37:19if you talk a guy like a Shannon Sharp, and I've known Shannon since
- 1:37:26day one I've ever gotten in the league out of the day I met him,
- 1:37:30and what he's doing now or so far from what I would have thought.
- 1:37:34But having flamboyant helps Cam in the entertainment world, having notoriety with Cam,
- 1:37:45you can see somebody flipping that into some kind of next stage of entertainment
- 1:37:51like you see with Rob Grikowski. As you see with different entertainers, Cam
- 1:37:57does have the hold over at least a quick hold when you say his name
- 1:38:04right, you know, it could be some kind of Americans got fashion judge
- 1:38:12you could hire. That's that's true. I don't you know if you had
- 1:38:15one of those kind of shows that if you have what's she young? Not
- 1:38:18young lady, but the she's pasted now with Joan Rivers. Yes, if
- 1:38:24Jones Rivers was alive, you can put Cam up there with her. As
- 1:38:28producers, we can be envisioning, you know, to bring some young youths
- 1:38:31to it, a different flavor to it. You put her with Cam and
- 1:38:36you know, that kind of thing and make a real show, maybe TV
- 1:38:41host. You know, he's a good looking young man, he's tall,
- 1:38:45you know, so into fashions, into fashion around them, and I think
- 1:38:49that's what he's the path is. And maybe he said only Atlanta just to
- 1:38:53but the football thing, I don't think that's on his radar, That's what
- 1:38:57I'm saying. Maybe he said Atlanta just that's the only team that he would
- 1:39:00play for, because it's like you said, his family resides here. He
- 1:39:03don't see himself living anywhere else. So He may have just said that just
- 1:39:06to throw everybody off. He don't really want to play. We'll be back
- 1:39:09more to Sports Duck Show right after this. We as ads back. I
- 1:39:14could love few on occasions we got way too much of commons a landa honest

- 1:42:27morning to you. The bad producer wants you to know that Travis Hunter was
- 1:42:31academic All American uh this past semester. And he said it to me in
- 1:42:38this way as though it was surprising. I guess it surprises him. He
- 1:42:43still is in the mindset that black athletes don't study, but he brought it
- 1:42:49to me in this kind of way, like, I've never heard a report
- 1:42:54that ever has called Travis Hunter dumb? Have you? I am not happy
- 1:42:59to Big Kenny, have you? No? Okay, I haven't heard a
- 1:43:01report about Travis Hunter being anything but a brilliant athlete that can play ball.
- 1:43:09Only reason I've merged that. Not right, I don't, But I haven't
- 1:43:13really said anything about doing anything. But I'm just saying where he's coming because
- 1:43:15you know, like Jimmy the Greek said, they used to get the big
- 1:43:18bucks with the with the big thighs, and yeah, I was strong,
- 1:43:24and they would get these strong females with the large butts and they would bring
- 1:43:29him together. And now makes them jump higher and run fast so bad producing
- 1:43:34nobody's surprised that Travis Hunter or any athlete is whatever they are. But thanks
- 1:43:42for keeping keeping racism going. We appreciate the ugle. The tenth has passed
- 1:43:47away at age ten. I don't know how long he was on the job,
- 1:43:54but I was going to say that I think he was on ten years.
- 1:43:58Yeah, twenty fifteen, yeah, ten years Okay, so from birth
- 1:44:04he was out that violated child label law. He was born to say he
- 1:44:09was born in twenty fifteen. He was born in twenty thirteen, thirteen,
- 1:44:13Okay, he went to work to two thousand. But he just died yesterday,
- 1:44:16So how could he have been that's that's that's eleven years, right,
- 1:44:21Yeah he was. He was a job for eight years. Okay, Yeah,
- 1:44:25I'm just doing the math. Y'all said twenty fifteen. Yeah he started
- 1:44:28twenty fifteen. Ass, but he was born in twenty thirteen. Okay,
- 1:44:32so still a child labor in dog years. He was a teenager. Yeah,
- 1:44:40he was a teenager. I guess that's what we're going with down there
- 1:44:43at Osha. But Peter has passed away. Peter's mad at Georgia about this.
- 1:44:50They're really saying that they think that they needed when isn't Peter math.
- 1:44:55They don't like any live maskouts, they don't like they only they only come
- 1:44:58out to be mad to try to tell you you're wrong. Well, I
- 1:45:02mean they've sent a letter to the if you're requesting anything of the animal,
- 1:45:06Peter is mad. Yeah, So how is your policy that if I request
- 1:45:12anything of my animal, even if it's a commercial for dog food in which
- 1:45:15the dog eats the food. I can't believe you put that pressure on him
- 1:45:21to eat. But but the thing about him to make him do that.
- 1:45:28But because of this, they're calling for the University of Georgia. They've been
- 1:45:31calling for this. This is that's not they don't like like mascots. I
- 1:45:35don't like live mascot. They've been at this forever. You ought to see
- 1:45:40what they do with They're part of why Georgia went and got the air conditioned
- 1:45:45dog house because they was complaining that it was too hot for him to stand
- 1:45:48on the sideline because you know how, you know how dogs live outdoors and
- 1:45:55it's so hot for them to just be standing out there. So that is
- 1:46:00the funny issue right there. Electric cars they save gas, but you would
- 1:46:04be surprised that they burned tires a third to half as fast as gas cars.
- 1:46:14Did you want, guys know that I did not know. Did you
- 1:46:17know that they earned they burned tires up to almost a half from a third
- 1:46:21to a half faster A set of tires will wear out electric cars. And
- 1:46:28did they say why that was? Is it? I think it's just the
- 1:46:33whole operator starting the stopping. I don't know about the torque because they have
- 1:46:43to be made. Maybe will drive our most electric cars. But the report
- 1:46:47I was reading, the guy said he bought the electric vehicle and buy a
- 1:46:55little bit over seven thousand miles he needed another set of tires. Wow,
- 1:47:01so you know where your money's going. I saved, I saved on gas.
- 1:47:05But you must be riding some low profiles, real low profiles on the
- 1:47:10Tesla. Those aren't the only cars. Well, this was the story you
- 1:47:17may have been looking at. This was an electric Mercedes, right that at
- 1:47:24seven thousand miles you had to get you tires. I'm taking it back,
- 1:47:32give me a hybrid or something, but that I need something better with tires,
- 1:47:36because tires, I mean, you know you're not supposed to get them
- 1:47:41every seven thousand miles. I don't imagine. And then they are gas car.
- 1:47:45If you're riding on factory you typically get about thirty thousand or so miles
- 1:47:50on on the on the ones that would actually come on your car, not
- 1:47:55know after stock car tires. But but it says for some cars, up
- 1:48:00to a third to half as much mileage you'll get on the tires. So
- 1:48:04you need some new tires, Big Kenny, when you're evoke, is that
- 1:48:11what it's called one of them is called I Got the no Voke. They
- 1:48:16also said that did you have to if you do have an electric car,
- 1:48:20it's say, might say you have three hundred miles you could drive, but
- 1:48:24if you start using all the amenities with it, the computer system, everything
- 1:48:28else, that reduces your drive time. So just wondering on that. Also,
- 1:48:32that's another thing that has came out in regard to the tires. I
- 1:48:38don't know how true that is. You're saying, if you turn all the
- 1:48:41electrics, like if you're in the car, yeah, GPS, you losing
- 1:48:45your computer that's in there running on battery power. Yeah, that's reducing your
- 1:48:49your drive time. Actually, if you say so, so you could travel
- 1:48:53far, you just got to travel far in silence. Yes, well that
- 1:49:00used to be the old cars too. Now remember those cars in the sixties
- 1:49:03and seventies and eighties. Turning on the air conditioner and things like that mess
- 1:49:11up the gas mind in their minds playing games, punch bulls nine nine bottles
- 1:49:16of beer. I don't know what you're talking about the fact gas milers and
- 1:49:21nobody's in the car playing no punch Bug or none of that. You never
- 1:49:26played punch buge Yeah, most of us started riding in cars after the Civil
- 1:49:30Rights movement. We'll be back right after it is some more to sports,

- 1:52:05spin on life and sports and how they intermingle. On the Sports Jack Show
- 1:52:14with Wayne Gandy, I got just what you need brand new Chris Brown tea
- 1:52:27pain. You heard it here first Happy Born Radio. We love you,
- 1:52:34Kill Time Weak right to the show. On this more shocks Wayne Candy.
- 1:52:42Last night out of the Phoenix Suns blowing the doors off down in Dallas beating
- 1:52:47the Mavericks. Mavericks will be in Atlanta tomorrow night to take on the Hawks.
- 1:52:54Luca did get a fan thrown out, uh for uh, suggesting that
- 1:53:00Luca looked tired and needed to get his butt on the treadmill. For that,
- 1:53:06Luca got security to x score the guy out the arena. Hold on,
- 1:53:15let me catch my brow? Could you come it? Uh? Could
- 1:53:18you get this gentleman out of your face? His offend? I guess he
- 1:53:24got real offended from what the fan who knows nobody talking about two three rolls
- 1:53:31behind the bit she was a Phoenix Suns fan. And from what you can
- 1:53:36hear and whether it says on the report it says that's that's what he said.
- 1:53:42But was said as the you know right, a jack right. So
- 1:53:48but that's it. It seems very lightweight to get put down the nachos.
- 1:53:55Loka, Loka, that's your third hot off this quarter. Put it down.
- 1:54:00So that is so funny. Luca got him excored out. Meanwhile,
- 1:54:03Lebron's eating lunch on the bend. Command to Greg says that here locally at
- 1:54:12Morehouse, Hugh Jackson, who was the Cleveland Browns coach a few years ago,
- 1:54:19I've been coordinators in different spots, like the Raiders, former head coach
- 1:54:27of Grambling. Now it's moving over to Morehouse to be the head coach down
- 1:54:31here in negotiations to be their new coach. Okay, okay, Morehouse Hugh
- 1:54:38Jackson still spinning the wheel. Uh and that head coaching spot. More House
- 1:54:44is one of those colleges that, even living here, you forget has a
- 1:54:47football program. And that is just being truthful. That's no even you remember
- 1:54:54other schools have them, but you do forget that Morehouse has a football team.
- 1:54:58There are students that go to our house that have forgotten to have a
- 1:55:00football team. I knew that John David Washington, the actor Denzel Son,
- 1:55:05played there. I think he was an All Conference player and that's about it.
- 1:55:11That's the only guy I knew that I thought he went to Valley.
- 1:55:14Well, I'm just speaking that if you don't live in an area, we
- 1:55:18actually live here and very little is ever said in anything that you watch or
- 1:55:27highlights or in the paper or on the line, is ever even spoken about
- 1:55:34Morehouse having And we're in a football state, so very and they're literally in
- 1:55:42the shadow of Mercedes bed State. Think it's because their their division. Two
- 1:55:48people mentioned we talk about Clark, they talked about they used talk about Mars
- 1:55:53Brown before they was defunct, before they did Morehouse. They talk about that
- 1:55:58high school up and gone cat. Oh yeah, they talk about I'm saying,
- 1:56:01they talk about the people on the national moves they talking about yeah about
- 1:56:06seven, three or four of Yeah, several of those that they talk about
- 1:56:12House. So just very interesting. But Hugh Jackson uh in negotiations to take
- 1:56:18over as the head coach of Moore House the games this weekend as we talked
- 1:56:25about the big games to see who gets to go to the super Bowl,
- 1:56:30jints uh this get this right? Kansas City versus Baltimore Big Kenny by Baltimore
- 1:56:51Comanche Kansas City, Bad Producer, Baltimore okay, and Detroit versus the forty
- 1:57:10nine Ers Bad Producer Detroit, Rock City Command. I want to see Detroit
- 1:57:21win, but I think the forty nine ers are gonna win. I'd say
- 1:57:24forty nine Ers, Big Kenny Detroit. So Big Kenny has the Ravens in
- 1:57:34the Lions in the Super Bowl. Command ge Greg has the Chiefs in the
- 1:57:42forty nine Ers in the Super Bowl, and the bad Producer has the Ravens
- 1:57:50and the Lions in the Super Bowl. Two big things. And now the
- 1:57:57drum roll, the sports shock has I got the show to finish on one
- 1:58:05note. For the forty nine Ers, questionable fifty to fifty. If Deebo
- 1:58:09Samuel will go, that's a big turning point for them. And for the
- 1:58:14Kansas City Chiefs, I want to say left or right guard Toney or Thonyony.
- 1:58:21They're saying it's going to be out, which is not something you want
- 1:58:26against that raven defense. But the games are at three pm Kansas City,
- 1:58:31Baltimore and six thirty Detroit, San Francisco. And that came bad Producer,
- 1:58:39you got your teams, don't worry about me. You just said, Noah,
- 1:58:41I just want to know what you are. I won't know who you
- 1:58:44got. I mean, so you don't switch it up after you say,
- 1:58:45well you know I will this now instead of this, I mean, let's
- 1:58:48go you don't switch it up. So you don't switch it up because you
- 1:58:53be cheap now see sensibility I own, don't switch it up. I'm just
- 1:59:01saying because you be cheating that. I'm just saying, let's go ahead and
- 1:59:08just tell us who you're rolling with. You don't want to admit you going
- 1:59:10with Lamar? I know that. Why wouldn't I wanted to go with Lamar?
- 1:59:15Just with your morals and your kid not messing with me? That's the
- 1:59:18first thing out of your mouth. Why would I go with Lamar? Were
- 1:59:24you saying he wouldn't pick him or wouldn't would I'm just probably. I'm just
- 1:59:29I'm just saying, because both both quarterbacks in that game are black. What
- 1:59:35you're saying racism button averted, racism button averted, racism button averted. We
- 1:59:45do not know the protocol down. What am I to do? That's how
- 1:59:48I'm trying to I thought both of those quarterbacks and that in that one particular
- 1:59:53game, he was already down the racism rabbit hole, though, and he
- 1:59:57couldn't stop. He had to keep going. And and you reminded him that
- 2:00:00both quarterbacks were black. And now his circuits are overloading and we are in
- 2:00:06the ocean. The truth is he will throw you to the ocean. It's
- 2:00:14time to wrap things up on the Sports jug Show with Wayne Gandy When times
- 2:00:57an ocean, get to watch out testa minute to Bell. We'd like to
- 2:01:00thank you for tuning in to the shows, whether it was Monday or today.
- 2:01:05We appreciate you for any minute, any segment, any hour that you
- 2:01:11gave us. We thank you for that. If you get a chance you
- 2:01:14want to hear us on replay, go to Apple Podcast, Spotify, Amazon
- 2:01:18Podcast, Audible, Deezer, or I Heart Radio. Just so I can
- 2:01:26be fair, guys, if I was picking two teams, I would pick
- 2:01:30the Baltimore Ravens versus the San Francisco forty Niners. Those are the two best
- 2:01:36teams I've seen. The forty nine ers hope are laying with Deebo Samuels.
- 2:01:43I believe without him the Lions will take the victory. But I would go
- 2:01:47with the forty nine ers. Shame on you, Chicago for not supplying Big
- 2:01:54Kenny with a salad. Bar I just want to say that for we left
- 2:01:57on air to I'm sorry Big Kenny that you out of childhood that you didn't
- 2:02:00get to go fix a salad. I moved on the ice cream now age
- 2:02:04we're going in the ocean today, ceed Lamb's mama. Be quiet, lady,
- 2:02:18and I'm gonna say it that way. Be quiet. Having comments about
- 2:02:26Dak Prescott saying Dak needs to go. Who you think been feeding your son
- 2:02:32the ball back? Is the reason ce d getting the ball. He throw
- 2:02:38the ball to CD more than anybody on the team. Why would you want
- 2:02:45to cut that off? Do you not understand the game and see he don't
- 2:02:53need your protection. Just sit back in that luxury house that he bought you,
- 2:03:00make some lemonade and be happy. Stay out of the affairs of the
- 2:03:05football field. For all you know. See he's sleeping with Dak White.
- 2:03:13That's why they was arguing on the sideline. Well, oh, shots,
- 2:03:17maybe maybe too much yotspire. I don't know that to be true, but
- 2:03:21I'm saying you don't know what Dak found out on the sideline. I felt
- 2:03:26y'all think they was arguing about a fake route, and that was over there
- 2:03:30telling me you had a salad bar. You had a salad bar and you
- 2:03:35could get a push up. But I do know, similar to Ben Roethlisberger
- 2:03:40and Antonio Brown, Dak Prescott throws regardless of the issue. He feeds your
- 2:03:47son the ball all day long and that's all you can hope. Send your
- 2:03:53son somewhere else to find you another quarterback. And then next thing you know,
- 2:03:58production is down, which means money goes down as well. But Mama
- 2:04:05lamb, keep that to yourself and for that CD's mom, buck the clank.
- 2:04:24You ain't happy with Dak. That ain't hurting. That might be hurting,
- 2:04:31Command you, Greg, but it ain't hurting. Been kidding the funny
- 2:04:35man himself, the Wow the bag producer, and command you Greg himself.
- 2:04:44And from the sports shop, we hope you have a great after noon,
- 2:04:46and as we always say on Thursday, we'll see you in the future. Peace.
