- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, hanging out in studio with somebody who we
- 0:03Speaker 1: got to hang out with during CMA Fest. Miss Alexandra K.
- 0:06Speaker 1: How are you? I'm good? How are you listen? I'm fantastic.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I got to tell you that I appreciate where you
- 0:12Speaker 1: saw a fork in the road and instead of taking
- 0:14Speaker 1: a sharp rite to being only a coffee shop girl,
- 0:18Speaker 1: you took a left and did the country music thing,
- 0:20Speaker 1: and then kind of we're like, well, let's bring coffee
- 0:22Speaker 1: shop into this too.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and here we are, unreal fully integrated.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Is it wild to see social media is such a
- 0:28Speaker 1: cool tool?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Right? Yeah?
- 0:30Speaker 1: But is it cool to see like, hopefully you would
- 0:33Speaker 1: have ended up here anyway, right, right, But a lot
- 0:37Speaker 1: of people I always call it like building a house, right,
- 0:40Speaker 1: A lot of people, you know, have the supplies, but
- 0:43Speaker 1: then look for a record label. You were like, well,
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'll just I'll just start building the house and hopefully
- 0:47Speaker 1: they'll back up a truck to help me finish it.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Well, for sure, I mean honestly, like if it wasn't
- 0:54Speaker 2: for social media, I really don't know that I would
- 0:56Speaker 2: be here because at the end of the day, like
- 0:58Speaker 2: I did, try to go so you know, the traditional
- 1:02Speaker 2: way and I tried to go to all the decision
- 1:04Speaker 2: makers and they didn't. They didn't, you know, have that
- 1:08Speaker 2: strong enough belief to go ahead and give me the deal.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So let's who are they? Let's go let's you know
- 1:13Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 1:14Speaker 2: But I'm but I'm grateful for it though. I'm really
- 1:17Speaker 2: grateful for it because one, I was able to build
- 1:20Speaker 2: this fan base, which gave me great leverage to get
- 1:22Speaker 2: an incredible deal, which is what I got with BMG.
- 1:25Speaker 2: So I'm grateful for it.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I heard they pay big time. Hey just say, mommy.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Starvin, you know what I mean. I'm just giving Uh.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Where did you because part of part of putting yourself
- 1:37Speaker 1: out there on social media, like you have to kind
- 1:39Speaker 1: of not care because people hate everything before.
- 1:44Speaker 2: They like it. Oh my god?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yeah, So how like, at what point did you look
- 1:49Speaker 1: at me and say, hey, we're just going to do
- 1:51Speaker 1: it and if people don't like it, I'm still gonna
- 1:53Speaker 1: have fun.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, at some point I just was like,
- 1:57Speaker 2: if you here's what I thought about.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Like, I don't.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Remember ever going on somebody's video and leaving a disgusting
- 2:05Speaker 2: comment that would make them feel bad about themselves. I
- 2:07Speaker 2: don't remember ever doing that, so which means you should
- 2:11Speaker 2: you will probably need to be in a pretty dark,
- 2:13Speaker 2: disgusting place in order to leave some of the some
- 2:16Speaker 2: of the stuff that is left on my videos.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And so.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Honestly, if you just come at it from that, from
- 2:23Speaker 2: that place, you have more empathy for them in their scenario.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And then if they're just projecting. Honestly, people are just projecting,
- 2:30Speaker 2: and it's like us, I just have to shake it
- 2:35Speaker 2: off and just be like whatever, you know, like I
- 2:38Speaker 2: knew what I was getting myself into. And also I'm
- 2:41Speaker 2: very aware that not everybody's gonna love my voice, you
- 2:43Speaker 2: know what I mean. Like I have that very high pitched,
- 2:46Speaker 2: like almost like a little nasally like kind of voice,
- 2:50Speaker 2: and it's like Tracy Lawrence did just fine, y'all, you
- 2:52Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like that's my dude. And and
- 2:56Speaker 2: so it's just like you just have to realize, like
- 2:58Speaker 2: you're not gonna be everybody's cup of tea, and that's fine,
- 3:00Speaker 2: it is.
- 3:01Speaker 1: What it is.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But I'm not gonna stop. Can you imagine if I
- 3:03Speaker 2: would have just stopped, You're you're.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Right, I'm going to work at McDonald's right exactly.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I did that when I was fifteen.
- 3:10Speaker 1: At what point, because this is I want to say,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and my timeline might be off. Within like the last
- 3:17Speaker 1: nine months you went to Waterloo and opened a coffee shop. Yes,
- 3:20Speaker 1: is it about nine months?
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:22Speaker 1: Well, at what point you were like, let's do that.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Obviously it's a part of your story and why you're
- 3:26Speaker 1: here now, right, But like what made you go, Hey,
- 3:28Speaker 1: we're gonna do this. This is a fun idea.
- 3:30Speaker 2: So whenever we started the coffee covers and everybody started
- 3:32Speaker 2: like kind of calling me the coffee girl. Not kind of,
- 3:35Speaker 2: they were calling me the coffee girl. I mean literally
- 3:37Speaker 2: people would come up to me on the street, Oh
- 3:39Speaker 2: my god, the coffee girl, Like they didn't even know my.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Name I'm singing in the video.
- 3:43Speaker 2: They didn't even know exactly exactly. And when that started
- 3:46Speaker 2: to happen, I really wanted at that time to open
- 3:50Speaker 2: a shop. Didn't have the funds, Like, wasn't in that
- 3:53Speaker 2: in that place in my career. Thank goodness, when I
- 3:55Speaker 2: released my last album All I've Ever Known, and I
- 3:57Speaker 2: was independent, so I obviously own all of that music,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and I was able to basically raise enough money to
- 4:02Speaker 2: buy my first shop. And everything happens for a reason.
- 4:06Speaker 2: So I wanted to do it a long time ago.
- 4:08Speaker 2: The timing was right now, And honestly, it's really cool
- 4:11Speaker 2: because I was able to retire my dad from a
- 4:14Speaker 2: job he's been in for a really long time and
- 4:16Speaker 2: has always disliked. And now he's the GM of my
- 4:19Speaker 2: shop and hopefully he will continue to stay with me
- 4:22Speaker 2: as I opened my shop in Nashville. And you know,
- 4:26Speaker 2: it's really cool. It's a strange dynamic though, I'll tell
- 4:28Speaker 2: you that being your dad's boss, I'm like, I've listened
- 4:31Speaker 2: to you and done what you told me to do
- 4:33Speaker 2: my whole life. And so now like my manager has
- 4:36Speaker 2: to kind of because he knows just the right buttons
- 4:38Speaker 2: to push to get one over on me if he
- 4:40Speaker 2: wants something. And let me tell you, I'm like, yes, Dad,
- 4:42Speaker 2: whatever you want.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I just want to say one thing. I'm not a
- 4:44Speaker 1: businessman at all, but I know enough to tell you
- 4:47Speaker 1: when family got access to the register, just be careful. Yeah, right,
- 4:53Speaker 1: that Nashville shop is. Have you shared publicly where it's
- 4:55Speaker 1: going to be when it's coming. No?
- 4:57Speaker 2: No, because it's just we're just now looking for the
- 5:00Speaker 2: right location. And and you know I want to I
- 5:03Speaker 2: want to have hopefully my first number one on country radio.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That's my big goal for next year for Straight for
- 5:08Speaker 2: the Heart, and so hopefully I'll accomplish that, and then
- 5:13Speaker 2: just yeah, people start to come to Nashville and be like,
- 5:16Speaker 2: I want to go to Jason el Dean's, Landy Wilson's,
- 5:19Speaker 2: and I want to go to Alexanderk's coffee shop. I
- 5:21Speaker 2: want to be on someone's like Nashville checklist, you know
- 5:22Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Coffree.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And it's funny too because Tay and I order coffee
- 5:27Speaker 1: here all the time through Postmates, and she's dying to
- 5:30Speaker 1: go to like places that are not the regular chains.
- 5:34Speaker 1: So we need we need you girls always.
- 5:37Speaker 2: As soon as Nick and I this is Nick behind
- 5:39Speaker 2: the scenes, he does my social media and so much.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He's like my right right hand. As soon as Nick
- 5:45Speaker 2: and I wake up on the tour bus every day,
- 5:47Speaker 2: we're instantly like, where are we finding coffee? And we
- 5:50Speaker 2: will walk for miles to not go to a Starbucks
- 5:53Speaker 2: or a Duncan. And I'm not trying to just we
- 5:55Speaker 2: won't go to a big place. I want to go
- 5:57Speaker 2: to a small a small, little mom and popsha somewhere.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So you do sing songs and we'll get to that
- 6:03Speaker 1: in a second. But stick with me. Stick with me
- 6:05Speaker 1: on the coffee thing, because a fan like I always
- 6:09Speaker 1: try to think what would a fan ask next? And
- 6:12Speaker 1: I think a fan would be like, why didn't you
- 6:13Speaker 1: ask her? When you go places? What are coffee shops
- 6:16Speaker 1: that you're like, Hey, if we hit this city, we're
- 6:18Speaker 1: going here?
- 6:20Speaker 2: Oh I can't. I have a list, but I can't
- 6:24Speaker 2: remember them off the top of my head, but I
- 6:26Speaker 2: do save them, okay, so I'll like star them on
- 6:29Speaker 2: maps so that I know that I want to go
- 6:31Speaker 2: back there.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Have you had what's the one over here today? Alexa?
- 6:36Speaker 2: I have, and I love it. I actually did a
- 6:37Speaker 2: pop up there during CMA Fest, not last year, but
- 6:40Speaker 2: the year before.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Why did we get there? The macha?
- 6:44Speaker 2: The strawberry straberry macha. It's so good and it's the
- 6:48Speaker 2: reason why I didn't have my shop two years ago.
- 6:50Speaker 2: When we did the pop up there and my parents
- 6:54Speaker 2: were with me, and I tried it, I drank it,
- 6:55Speaker 2: and I was like, I said, Dad, when we open
- 6:58Speaker 2: our shop, finally we've got to have strawberry macha. And
- 7:01Speaker 2: now that I think about it, we still don't have
- 7:02Speaker 2: a strawberry macha and so I'm gonna my dad.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But it's funny because I said that to them. I go,
- 7:10Speaker 1: oh man, this strawberry milk kills this thing. I go,
- 7:13Speaker 1: just don't tell me that you're mixing in like the powder,
- 7:16Speaker 1: because it'll kill it. And the guy goes, we're not
- 7:19Speaker 1: mixing in the power they are. I'm like, it's just
- 7:21Speaker 1: Nest quick powder. Dang it, that's fine.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I actually did when I rolled out. So one thing
- 7:27Speaker 2: we do at the shop is whenever we release a
- 7:30Speaker 2: new single or we're gonna have we're gonna roll out
- 7:33Speaker 2: like all of the drinks from the singles that we
- 7:36Speaker 2: released from this record. So we did Feminine Energy right now,
- 7:40Speaker 2: we have a Straight for the Heart Lotte. We have
- 7:42Speaker 2: what he does latte, and they kind of like switch
- 7:45Speaker 2: out whenever new songs come. Feminine Energy Latte is everyone's
- 7:48Speaker 2: favorite because we used strawberry nest Quick milk. Let go
- 7:53Speaker 2: I know, And I was like, my dad would go
- 7:54Speaker 2: to the local grocery store and just buy him out
- 7:56Speaker 2: of strawberry.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So Straight for the Heart obviously you have the full project,
- 8:02Speaker 1: right Why why did this feel right for right now?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Because I'm always interested in the single selection or like
- 8:09Speaker 1: the lead song or what you decide to send a
- 8:12Speaker 1: country radio because you're really like saying, this baby's the cutest,
- 8:15Speaker 1: right right right.
- 8:17Speaker 2: But I'm such a rookie to the country radio thing.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And it's the whole reason why I signed with the
- 8:22Speaker 2: label that I did, because they have an incredible radio
- 8:25Speaker 2: team and they have shown that they have great success
- 8:29Speaker 2: at this and I have so much to learn from
- 8:31Speaker 2: them in this process. And honestly, for me putting that
- 8:36Speaker 2: aside because I don't it's my first time. I'm just
- 8:38Speaker 2: learning as I go, right, and I'm paying attention to
- 8:40Speaker 2: my team and letting my team guide me. But I
- 8:43Speaker 2: heard the song and I was like banger instantly, Like
- 8:46Speaker 2: I didn't write it, like someone else wrote it. So
- 8:49Speaker 2: I heard it in my first pitch meeting ever, and
- 8:52Speaker 2: I was like, please do not show this to anyone else.
- 8:54Speaker 2: This has got to be my song. I need this song.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And so it was a no brainer to me. Honestly,
- 8:58Speaker 2: I just think it's a think it's a hit whenever
- 9:00Speaker 2: I listened to it, and so I was just really
- 9:02Speaker 2: glad that my team agreed.
- 9:04Speaker 1: How is that Because there's so many when it comes
- 9:06Speaker 1: to songs. There's so many artists that are like, if
- 9:08Speaker 1: I didn't cut it, I won't touch it, right. But like, also,
- 9:11Speaker 1: a great song is a great song, whether it came
- 9:13Speaker 1: from you or not. So how important is it as
- 9:16Speaker 1: these song ideas come across, Like you have to feel
- 9:19Speaker 1: it right, There's got to be some authenticity in the
- 9:21Speaker 1: story you're telling for show.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's just important to like, like, chill
- 9:25Speaker 2: on the ego, you know what I mean? Like, what
- 9:27Speaker 2: do you like? I don't have any ego when it
- 9:30Speaker 2: comes to the song. I know that every day, if
- 9:32Speaker 2: I'm writing a good song, a better song is being
- 9:34Speaker 2: written in Nashville somewhere. That's the beauty of this town.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And so I want the great songs, like give me
- 9:39Speaker 2: all the great songs, you know, I don't care if
- 9:40Speaker 2: I wrote it or not. Like George Strait and Garth
- 9:42Speaker 2: Brooks made a killer career off of both of those things.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So likely I was actually really excited because as an
- 9:48Speaker 2: indie artist, obviously, you know, I didn't have as many
- 9:51Speaker 2: opportunities for people to want to pitch me songs because
- 9:53Speaker 2: they knew I wouldn't be going to radio as an
- 9:55Speaker 2: indie artist, and so as soon as I signed my deal,
- 9:58Speaker 2: I was like, okay, is it time yet? All the
- 10:00Speaker 2: great songs like I'll let you know and so yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 2: I have this one that I chose in a song
- 10:06Speaker 2: called old Me, which was Sasha Sloan and Shane Mcanelli,
- 10:10Speaker 2: you know.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And that's one thing that I'd imagine as an artist
- 10:12Speaker 1: is everybody, everybody has a great song idea, yeah right,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and especially a fan me like, oh, I thought of this.
- 10:21Speaker 1: How do you listen respectfully but also be like okay,
- 10:25Speaker 1: but I gotta go okay, but because you can't listen
- 10:28Speaker 1: to every song idea and you also don't want to cut,
- 10:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean, have them help with the
- 10:32Speaker 1: song idea, and all of a sudden they're coming after after,
- 10:35Speaker 1: after a number one song.
- 10:37Speaker 2: So I think that I just kind of approach it
- 10:39Speaker 2: like I do, like every Nashville songwriter does. We just
- 10:41Speaker 2: always have our ears open, yeah, at all times, like
- 10:45Speaker 2: I am looking for in this conversation song ideas at
- 10:48Speaker 2: all times.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You know, Well, good, I got one. Check this out,
- 10:51Speaker 1: all right. I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I always
- 10:54Speaker 1: do that to see if delay was like another radio
- 10:56Speaker 1: guy thinks he can come over and listen. I've been
- 10:58Speaker 1: writing great songs my whole life. I just need somebody
- 11:01Speaker 1: to make them better.
- 11:03Speaker 2: You know what I mean. But like, also, yes, there
- 11:05Speaker 2: is the whole thing of like if I did actually
- 11:07Speaker 2: cut something that someone said they would come after me.
- 11:11Speaker 2: You know, no, I hear you.
- 11:14Speaker 1: When it comes to this country music journey, it's so
- 11:17Speaker 1: it's cool because it's all the same road, but everybody
- 11:20Speaker 1: has a different view of the scenery, right, So, what
- 11:23Speaker 1: are some cool moments? Although many artists have done exactly
- 11:26Speaker 1: what you're doing, what are some cool things that you've
- 11:29Speaker 1: witnessed along the way that you're like, wow, this is awesome.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Oh, so many, so many things. The way that Jelly
- 11:36Speaker 2: Roll treated me as a first of three on his
- 11:40Speaker 2: arena tour, like that is so awesome. It's so awesome
- 11:44Speaker 2: to meet people that you look up to and then
- 11:49Speaker 2: to see how not only they treat you, but how
- 11:51Speaker 2: they treat every single person in that arena who is
- 11:55Speaker 2: being a small to a huge part of putting on
- 11:59Speaker 2: his show every single night. He was so gracious and
- 12:01Speaker 2: so kind, and the way that he gave me a platform,
- 12:05Speaker 2: the way that he gave Atlas a platform, he's just
- 12:09Speaker 2: like always the first person to just reach down and
- 12:11Speaker 2: help somebody up. And it's like I feel like, especially
- 12:14Speaker 2: as females in this industry since we have been since
- 12:22Speaker 2: we have been kind of taught from the very beginning
- 12:24Speaker 2: that there aren't a whole lot of spots right that
- 12:29Speaker 2: it has created a little bit of more of a competition,
- 12:33Speaker 2: and you just don't see that happen a lot where
- 12:35Speaker 2: people are just willing to really reach out and pull
- 12:37Speaker 2: somebody else up. And whenever I experienced Jelly Roll for
- 12:40Speaker 2: who he is in those moments, I was just like Wow,
- 12:44Speaker 2: it was a wow moment of Wow, people really can
- 12:48Speaker 2: continue to stay themselves with everything they've ever dreamed of.
- 12:52Speaker 1: It it becomes a challenge. But I'm telling you it's
- 12:54Speaker 1: so important, and I think it's more not even for
- 12:56Speaker 1: the people around you. I think it's more important for
- 12:58Speaker 1: you to avoid like imposter syndrome, and like for sure,
- 13:03Speaker 1: like the whole like, am I do I deserve this?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Am I supposed to be? All type stuff? I'd imagine
- 13:07Speaker 1: the more you you feel, it's easier to ignore stuff
- 13:10Speaker 1: like that.
- 13:11Speaker 2: So, like you, you know why, I don't think I
- 13:13Speaker 2: really have that much imposter syndrome is because I worked
- 13:18Speaker 2: so so hard, Like I did all of the nitty
- 13:22Speaker 2: gritty things, and Jelly and I were talking about this too.
- 13:25Speaker 2: It's like we started from the absolute bottom. Like I've
- 13:29Speaker 2: played shows where not a single person has walked in
- 13:32Speaker 2: the entire night and I just played for the bartender.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I have played shows where I traveled, you know, to
- 13:39Speaker 2: North Dakota to play a show, and not enough people
- 13:42Speaker 2: showed up and they didn't pay me, and I couldn't
- 13:44Speaker 2: afford to pay for my hotel room to sleep that
- 13:47Speaker 2: night or my gas to get back because they refused
- 13:49Speaker 2: to pay me for the show because not enough people came.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I have had two record deals and lost in both.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Was on a Netflix original series Lost that was supposed
- 13:58Speaker 2: to change my life. I mean, just like I can
- 14:01Speaker 2: stand up there and can be I can have those
- 14:04Speaker 2: tiary moments where I'm standing in front of an arena
- 14:06Speaker 2: that Jelly Roll gave me as an independent artist and
- 14:08Speaker 2: be like, grow, you work so hard for this, you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: because I really do believe I did.
- 14:14Speaker 1: It's cool too, because there's a lot of signs that
- 14:16Speaker 1: you're for you, that you're going to be successful, Like
- 14:20Speaker 1: even though you're still like starting out and you're still fresh.
- 14:22Speaker 1: There's a lot of signs that show how successful you're
- 14:25Speaker 1: going to be. I mean, it's the what just under
- 14:27Speaker 1: nine million followers throughout all your social platforms.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It's wild, it's really wild, and.
- 14:32Speaker 1: People don't followers are not easy to get or keep.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So the fact that you're sitting there is like, what
- 14:39Speaker 1: does that support mean for you?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Everything? I mean, you know, you saw a little bit
- 14:43Speaker 2: of it this morning. Like girls, they come, they wait early,
- 14:46Speaker 2: they try to come in and be the first person
- 14:49Speaker 2: on the barricade. Every single day when I pull up
- 14:51Speaker 2: to a venue, they're all dressed in pink and they've
- 14:53Speaker 2: got bows in their hair and there the lines are
- 14:55Speaker 2: around the corner at these shows, just to be able
- 14:59Speaker 2: to get as close to the stage as they possibly can.
- 15:01Speaker 2: And then they scream not not the hits, every single
- 15:06Speaker 2: deep cut at the top of their lungs. It's everything,
- 15:10Speaker 2: It is everything, And that is why I do fifty
- 15:12Speaker 2: free meet and greets before every single show. That is
- 15:15Speaker 2: why I do free shows all the time. That's why
- 15:18Speaker 2: I go live every single morning. It's why I just
- 15:21Speaker 2: want to give them as much of me as I caim.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I have nothing without them nothing.
- 15:25Speaker 1: That's so cool to recognize that for where you're at.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Truly.
- 15:29Speaker 1: The other thing when it comes to to cause you
- 15:32Speaker 1: mentioned like failures and things that didn't work out, people
- 15:35Speaker 1: quit before. They will fail a second time more often
- 15:39Speaker 1: than not. So does somebody else who is you know,
- 15:42Speaker 1: hop it on TikTok live and only getting three people
- 15:45Speaker 1: watching them singing the bathroom in the morning or something
- 15:47Speaker 1: like that. What do you say to people like that
- 15:49Speaker 1: when they approach you or maybe send you a DM
- 15:52Speaker 1: like hey, I want to do what you did. I
- 15:54Speaker 1: want to How do you tell them like, hey, you're
- 15:56Speaker 1: gonna fall on your face. But it's how you react
- 15:59Speaker 1: to that that matter.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I just think like when it comes to the people
- 16:04Speaker 2: that you know are going live and they don't have
- 16:07Speaker 2: really anybody watching or whatever, like I always just tell them,
- 16:10Speaker 2: I'm like, you have no idea when it can change.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It can all change. It can be one song, one trend,
- 16:17Speaker 2: one moment, and it can change your entire life. But
- 16:20Speaker 2: it's up to you if it changes your entire life.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Those moments have come for people and they've just as
- 16:26Speaker 2: quickly gone. It's what you do when you have that momentum.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I could have made one coffee cover and never made
- 16:32Speaker 2: another again and said that was a cool three million views. Instead,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I made to a day to a day. That's how
- 16:38Speaker 2: I got five million followers on TikTok. I made to
- 16:42Speaker 2: a day and then I could have just put it
- 16:45Speaker 2: to rest and said that was five years ago. Instead
- 16:47Speaker 2: I opened a coffee shop called the Coffee Girl and
- 16:49Speaker 2: created a brand around it. It's just you're gonna have
- 16:52Speaker 2: little moments. It's take it and run with it and
- 16:54Speaker 2: push it as far as you possibly can.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Two coffees a day and now I have hard problems,
- 16:58Speaker 1: but it's fine because having.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Two copies a day or two. I haven't had my second.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Actually, I'm not listen. We're excited to get you on
- 17:05Speaker 1: stage to play for the crew here at Jason el
- 17:08Speaker 1: Dean's down on Broadway. But I haven't asked this question
- 17:12Speaker 1: a lot, and it's so dumb.
- 17:14Speaker 2: But let's get let's go.
- 17:19Speaker 1: TikTok and social media massive and I'm not interested in views, likes, follows.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I'm wondering, what's the last thing you bought from the
- 17:26Speaker 1: TikTok shop.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I believe it was a set of press on nails.
- 17:32Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, I was looking at a chair like
- 17:36Speaker 1: a desk chair because I wanted a new desk chair,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and I was like, but do you trust a desk
- 17:42Speaker 1: chare off of TikTok.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So here's the thing. The things that they're that you're
- 17:46Speaker 2: buying on TikTok shop, you can find them on Amazon
- 17:49Speaker 2: and they're going to ship to you and twice the time.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And they probably have a better warranty.
- 17:55Speaker 2: So it's not it's the same things. Because I would
- 17:59Speaker 2: be like, oh, oh, I love all these things I'm
- 18:01Speaker 2: finding on TikTok shop, and then I'd be like, wonder
- 18:02Speaker 2: if it's on Amazon. Oh, it's the exact same thing
- 18:05Speaker 2: on Amazon, except for at ships they're usually the same price.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Do you feel like we're getting God on tip I
- 18:15Speaker 2: could talk to you about.
- 18:16Speaker 1: This, hey, but you just made me think of something.
- 18:18Speaker 1: What if Amazon is really fueling what's happening on TikTok
- 18:21Speaker 1: and it's just a new way for them to create revenue.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised. I would not be surprised, honestly,
- 18:28Speaker 2: and I get sucked into it all the time. When
- 18:30Speaker 2: I said the last thing I bought was a pair
- 18:32Speaker 2: of press on nails. Along with that same order was
- 18:35Speaker 2: press on nails. I bought some stuff to clean my
- 18:37Speaker 2: bags off. I bought some little plastic reusable bags and
- 18:41Speaker 2: a bows on them, just because they're cute. I think
- 18:44Speaker 2: I bought a coffee cup. Why would I ever buy
- 18:47Speaker 2: coffee cups? Do you don't have any coffee cups? I
- 18:49Speaker 2: have you? I want a storage unit full of coffee cups.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I'm not kidding. Where's my boyfriend? Is he in here?
- 18:55Speaker 2: He will tell you.
- 18:58Speaker 1: He didn't pass security. Jack kid, Thank you so much.
- 19:03Speaker 1: We appreciate
- 19:05Speaker 2: H
