- 0:00Speaker 1: What's going on, y'all?
- 0:01Speaker 2: This is Bailey Zimmerman. On the Smallsy Show. Now on Kiss.
- 0:05Speaker 1: On the show, Bailey Zimmerman, everybody.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Let's go!
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey.
- 0:09Speaker 2: What's up, fellas?
- 0:10Speaker 1: Mate, welcome to Australia. Thanks. Great to meet you.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Great to meet you guys as well. It's sick.
- 0:16Speaker 1: You've just wrapped up all the shows. You've done the
- 0:18Speaker 1: Strumming Bird. You did your solo. What did you think
- 0:21Speaker 1: of Australia?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Unbelievable.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I love that they.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Love to do it like I do it, because I'm
- 0:27Speaker 2: so energetic.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I say, I can't stand in front of the mic
- 0:32Speaker 3: and just stand there very often, because I get so nervous.
- 0:36Speaker 3: So that's why I'm all over the stage, is because
- 0:38Speaker 3: I'm running from my nervousness. And Australia really loves that.
- 0:43Speaker 3: They really love energy and passion, and they go so hard.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous, coming down here
- 0:55Speaker 3: because it's been three years.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And at which time. What were you nervous?
- 0:58Speaker 1: What were you nervous about?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Look at you.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You're a good looking dude. You got some, you got
- 1:02Speaker 1: some hits. You got nothing to be nervous about.
- 1:04Speaker 3: You know, I was just like, man, haven't been here
- 1:07Speaker 3: in a while. I haven't talked to you guys, you know? So,
- 1:09Speaker 3: but going out on Strumming Bird festival, like the first
- 1:13Speaker 3: night we played, it was, it was like, I never left.
- 1:16Speaker 3: It was like the coolest feeling. I'm like, bro, I'm
- 1:20Speaker 3: from a trailer park. And I'm like, Dude, I'm back
- 1:23Speaker 3: in Australia for my third time.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we're still playing these big shows.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So sick.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I love that you, even though you've had so much success,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that you still get, like, the kick out of it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 1: One day you'll be like, oh, not this again. But
- 1:37Speaker 1: now you're still loving it.
- 1:39Speaker 3: You know, it's like, it's really funny because, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 3: everybody has, like, ups and down days, right? True. Where, like,
- 1:45Speaker 3: sometimes you're like, oh, man, I'm tired. But, dude, I'm
- 1:48Speaker 3: never going to stop doing this.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Like, I'll say, like, oh... you know, like I'm going
- 1:53Speaker 2: to take some time off. Yeah. No, I'm not.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I'm not taking no time off. We can, what is it?
- 1:59Speaker 3: We can sleep and be tired when we're retired.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That's a good one. Exactly.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm taking that.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You can take that.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Um, anyway, so the, the Australia loves you. You know,
- 2:09Speaker 1: we love you. Um, you have been very busy. You
- 2:13Speaker 1: are like constantly making music, constantly playing shows.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You don't have time to be tired.
- 2:20Speaker 3: No.
- 2:20Speaker 1: No.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Never.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Where are you from? Where did you hail from? Where
- 2:23Speaker 1: were you? What was your hometown?
- 2:24Speaker 2: So I grew up in a small town called Louisville, Illinois.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Okay. Yep.
- 2:29Speaker 2: It's got like a thousand people in it. Yeah. Super
- 2:31Speaker 2: small town.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Do you go back there ever?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah? It's one of my safe places, you know?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I go back home. I bought my mom a house
- 2:37Speaker 2: back there.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Sure.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Because growing up, you know, we didn't have anything.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You know, like.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Well, when did you know you had the gift? Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Because I think what I love about the story is
- 2:48Speaker 1: you come from nothing and now here you are traveling
- 2:50Speaker 1: the world playing sold-out shows.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's insane.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's like a legitimately ragged riches story, right? But how
- 2:59Speaker 1: did you find that path? How did you get out
- 3:01Speaker 1: of the town?
- 3:02Speaker 3: So.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I was into lifted trucks. Yeah. Like lifting up trucks,
- 3:08Speaker 2: like jacking up trucks.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Like when you say lifting, do you mean stealing or
- 3:10Speaker 1: do you mean like jacking them up? Oh, and like springs,
- 3:13Speaker 1: like putting on new suspension.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So like I was into that.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And on TikTok, there's this side of TikTok that's like
- 3:20Speaker 3: just awesome trucks that people build.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Just so you know, there's a side of everything on
- 3:25Speaker 1: TikTok that unless you're in that side, you never know
- 3:27Speaker 1: it exists.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, because when I talk to people about this, they're like,
- 3:30Speaker 2: What are you talking about? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:32Speaker 3: But so there's this like side of TikTok where it's
- 3:34Speaker 3: all lifted trucks and all these people, they become friends.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And that's what I, I became friends with so many
- 3:39Speaker 3: people through my truck that I'd built and put on TikTok.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Okay. And that's how I started social media. Okay.
- 3:44Speaker 3: So I started social media with my truck and I
- 3:46Speaker 3: started going around to truck shows.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 3: And it's like these shows where you just, everybody friends.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Takes their truck. Yep. And they show their truck and
- 3:54Speaker 1: everyone goes, wow, your dude, your truck's really good.
- 3:56Speaker 3: But it's also like more like you really make friends because-
- 4:00Speaker 3: you're like spending three, four days with these people at
- 4:02Speaker 3: the show and you've talked to them online.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And so I started doing that.
- 4:07Speaker 3: And these friends that I met from a couple of
- 4:09Speaker 3: towns over that also had trucks, we were sitting around
- 4:11Speaker 3: a bonfire one night and, um, my buddy Timmy, he
- 4:15Speaker 3: just starts playing the guitar and I start singing the
- 4:17Speaker 3: song he's playing. And I like closing my eyes, just
- 4:20Speaker 3: like singing, hanging out. And then I, when I opened them,
- 4:23Speaker 3: everybody was like.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Whoa, dude, like, Wait, you didn't know you, you didn't
- 4:28Speaker 1: know you.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Oh no. Okay. Sorry. Preface.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I never sang in my life. I never tried to sing.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I never tried to write songs. I didn't know how
- 4:34Speaker 3: to play guitar. I played guitar when I was like eight,
- 4:36Speaker 3: like electric, but then I just, I sold it for
- 4:38Speaker 3: a pair of Jordans, but good choice. Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah. So I, I, um, I, I, yeah, no musical background.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I just, I loved music.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I listened to music 24 seven, you know, but, uh,
- 4:50Speaker 3: and I would like sing in the truck, like with
- 4:53Speaker 3: the song, but I'm just like, jamming yeah i'm never
- 4:56Speaker 3: like wow you're a good singer you know like i
- 4:58Speaker 3: don't know and my mom told me.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah but i'm like but mom always lie mom's always
- 5:03Speaker 1: like yeah yeah yeah.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You're just saying that you know why are you telling
- 5:05Speaker 3: me this but god bless my mom i love her
- 5:08Speaker 3: but um so they were like dude you can sing
- 5:12Speaker 3: and and i kind of put it away but something
- 5:14Speaker 3: stuck with me and i was like man like they
- 5:18Speaker 3: they were like serious they're like dude oh my gosh
- 5:20Speaker 3: like it was like i was like okay So then
- 5:22Speaker 3: I secretively started trying to write songs by myself. And
- 5:26Speaker 3: then I met this guy from my hometown called Gavin.
- 5:31Speaker 3: His name is Gavin Lucas. And we started hanging out,
- 5:35Speaker 3: just chilling in my grandpa's garage. And one night we
- 5:39Speaker 3: got together and he was like, dude, we should try
- 5:42Speaker 3: to write a real song. Just start from scratch. He
- 5:46Speaker 3: had been writing songs for a long time, but he
- 5:47Speaker 3: had also not told a lot of people about it.
- 5:50Speaker 3: He was just like super like, you know, in this notebook. So,
- 5:53Speaker 3: and then we wrote my first song that night, not
- 5:57Speaker 3: knowing that I was trying to write a song either.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: If you've never written a song before, you don't know
- 6:04Speaker 1: what you do.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I have no idea what's going on, you know?
- 6:06Speaker 3: So I still don't, I still have no idea what's
- 6:08Speaker 3: going on, but we, we filmed what we had so
- 6:13Speaker 3: far on this toolbox. And then it's the first time
- 6:16Speaker 3: I ever heard my voice on a video that like
- 6:18Speaker 3: through my truck speakers when I was listening back.
- 6:20Speaker 2: To it on the way home.
- 6:22Speaker 3: So I called, I called Gavin. I was like, Hey man,
- 6:24Speaker 3: you care if I, uh, put this song on TikTok? Like,
- 6:27Speaker 3: this is a sick song, dude. And like, I think
- 6:29Speaker 3: it sounds awesome. And everybody's been saying I can sing
- 6:31Speaker 3: and I'm just going to do it.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Like, what's the word? What's, what's going to happen?
- 6:35Speaker 2: You know, like it doesn't sound that bad. Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 3: So I put it up at like 2 AM or whatever,
- 6:42Speaker 3: 3 AM. And I woke up at like seven and I,
- 6:46Speaker 3: it was like viral and had like, like, you know,
- 6:48Speaker 3: over a million views.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And that was like crazy. I was like, Oh my gosh. Like, like,
- 6:52Speaker 2: Holy crap.
- 6:53Speaker 3: So I just called my boss and I was just like, dude, Hey,
- 6:56Speaker 3: I quit. Like I'm, I'm, I'm going to be a
- 6:58Speaker 3: country singer.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I'm doing it.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And that's all that one video. That's it. And I
- 7:03Speaker 2: just started figuring it out from there.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Honestly, that is the biggest, uh, lesson in just like
- 7:10Speaker 1: believing in and backing in yourself, even though, cause you
- 7:13Speaker 1: gotta have, you gotta have, and you would agree now
- 7:15Speaker 1: looking back on it, You got to have like the whole,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you got to back yourself even when you don't know what,
- 7:21Speaker 1: the delusion of not knowing what you're doing. Because I
- 7:24Speaker 1: suppose if you knew what you knew now, you were like,
- 7:26Speaker 1: that could have gone so badly. It is such a
- 7:29Speaker 1: fluke that I'm even here now telling that story.
- 7:33Speaker 3: No, it's like, I was sitting there and I was like, dude,
- 7:37Speaker 3: I hate this job anyways. So I'm like, what's going
- 7:39Speaker 3: to happen? Like, oh, I still hate my job and
- 7:41Speaker 3: just go get it back.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just going to do it. And
- 7:43Speaker 2: that's kind of been the motto for, That is insane.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Since that day, like going in with like, you know,
- 7:49Speaker 3: when I wrote a song called where it ends, when
- 7:52Speaker 3: I wrote that song, I was sitting outside in this
- 7:55Speaker 3: parking lot waiting to go in because I was nervous
- 7:57Speaker 3: because there's new people in the room. I'd never wrote
- 7:59Speaker 3: with these guys before. And when I went into the room,
- 8:01Speaker 3: I was, I was sitting there. I was like, you
- 8:03Speaker 3: just got to go in because you never know. Like
- 8:05Speaker 3: God has put you here for a reason. Just, just go,
- 8:07Speaker 3: you know? So I went in and we wrote where
- 8:10Speaker 3: it ends in 15 minutes. Damn. And then like Stella Lefty,
- 8:14Speaker 3: it's like, just go, go, go. Work as hard as
- 8:17Speaker 3: you can. Put everything that you got into what you're
- 8:19Speaker 3: doing right now. And just like, Just trust.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I love that. Just believe, you know.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Well, we got to thank the truck dudes. The boys
- 8:27Speaker 1: around the truck and the campfire.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Shout out the boys.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Shout out the boys and the campfire truck. Do you
- 8:31Speaker 1: still do trucks in your spare time? You don't have
- 8:34Speaker 1: any spare time now.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Well, that's all I do.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Just trucks.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Trucks, cars. You know, like I love building cars.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And I love building trucks. So that's all I spend
- 8:44Speaker 2: my money on. I love that.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You got the new song. Well, you just announced the
- 8:47Speaker 1: new song with Stella Lefty as well, who was on the, the, uh,
- 8:50Speaker 1: the strumming bird.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It's, it's unbelievable. Like me.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So I was watching, I remember like a year ago
- 8:59Speaker 3: in October, I had just started seeing Stella Lefty on
- 9:02Speaker 3: my like TikTok pages. I was like listening to her
- 9:05Speaker 3: music a little bit and I was out in LA
- 9:07Speaker 3: and this, this right that I had scheduled that day
- 9:11Speaker 3: is canceled.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:12Speaker 3: And then a guy called me and his name is
- 9:14Speaker 3: Jay Cash. And he was like, hey, do you know
- 9:17Speaker 3: Stella Lefty? And I was like, oh yeah, dude, like
- 9:19Speaker 3: she's so fire. And he's like, well, we're writing today
- 9:22Speaker 3: if you want to come write with us. And I
- 9:24Speaker 3: was like, oh, I'm 1 million percent in. So then
- 9:27Speaker 3: I went over there and immediately off the bat, we
- 9:30Speaker 3: were just like pals. She's just such a good hang.
- 9:33Speaker 3: And she's like crazy talented. Like she can write songs
- 9:38Speaker 3: like nobody I've seen before. Like the way her brain
- 9:40Speaker 3: works on melody and words and ideas. And it was
- 9:43Speaker 3: just so impressive. And I was like, inspired like it
- 9:46Speaker 3: was so fun and we wrote my kind of love
- 9:48Speaker 3: that day yeah and then it just like sat in
- 9:51Speaker 3: our notes for like a year and then oh.
- 9:54Speaker 1: My god is this how long it's been sitting.
- 9:56Speaker 3: There yes it's been sitting there for a year wow
- 9:58Speaker 3: and i remember i i would always listen to it
- 10:00Speaker 3: and be like, this song is so good. Like, it's like,
- 10:03Speaker 3: I just feel like people would really love this. I
- 10:06Speaker 3: wonder if we're ever going to put it out. And
- 10:08Speaker 3: then nobody wants this. The, you know, the Netflix on.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Netflix, um, Cause it's in season three of that, right?
- 10:15Speaker 2: I think so.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. My notes, my notes is it's going to
- 10:18Speaker 1: be in season three of the Netflix show. Yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 3: So they called and they were like, Hey, do you
- 10:23Speaker 3: have any songs to pitch? And I was like, Oh
- 10:25Speaker 3: my gosh. Perfect. Like they're like, this is the scene.
- 10:29Speaker 3: And then we were like, dude, this song works.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Do they call you? Does Netflix call you? You surely
- 10:34Speaker 1: know you've got a team.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I feel like you've got a team. They call it,
- 10:36Speaker 2: you know, managers, Tracy and Chief and Simon.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Because I don't want you taking credit if someone else
- 10:42Speaker 1: has taken the call, right?
- 10:43Speaker 2: They take the calls. They intercept the calls.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And then, yeah.
- 10:48Speaker 3: And then they actually also had the idea of my
- 10:51Speaker 3: kind of love being the song.
- 10:52Speaker 2: But I was like, but I agree.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So what I'm hearing here, Bailey, what I'm hearing here
- 10:56Speaker 1: is the team that put this together and you are
- 10:59Speaker 1: sitting in front of the microphone taking all the credit.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Okay, well, let's just clear the air right now. I,
- 11:05Speaker 2: you know... I made the song. You did. So, you know,
- 11:08Speaker 2: I have some, I have some, you know, skin in
- 11:11Speaker 2: the game here. Yeah, you do. You do.
- 11:12Speaker 1: You're right.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I misspoke. I misspoke. You're right. It's all you.
- 11:16Speaker 2: But also shout out to my team.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 2: It's like a lot of people don't understand without a team.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 2: There's no way I could do what I do. Like,
- 11:26Speaker 2: absolutely not.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Like they do everything for me. So shout out team.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Shout out the core.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Legends. And I mean, just like for a little bit.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And shout out to them for putting up with you too.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Like I mean, I'm saying it for them, right?
- 11:40Speaker 2: I am a roller coaster. My ADHD dude.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. I'm all over the place. Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 1: But that's why we love bless their hearts. That's why
- 11:47Speaker 1: he's looking at them in the eye right now.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I love you.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah. He's like, he's saying, he's saying, please forgive me
- 11:51Speaker 1: for anything I've ever done.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Wow.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Hey, well, thanks for coming to therapy. I appreciate that.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Thank you. Of course. Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 1: My Kind of Love is the name of the song
- 11:59Speaker 1: that's out officially this Friday. Do you know your love language, Bailey?
- 12:05Speaker 1: When you say my kind of love, because, you know,
- 12:07Speaker 1: have you heard of love languages?
- 12:08Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. Of course.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Words of affirmation.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Okay. Quality time.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Yep.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Receiving gifts.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yep.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Acts of service.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Or physical touch. Okay.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Do you want me to talk them out for you?
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So words of affirmation. I think that's the, that shows up.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I love to tell people how you feel about it.
- 12:28Speaker 2: So I love, okay.
- 12:29Speaker 3: One thing I've noticed out of all those, the one
- 12:32Speaker 3: that stands out the most, I love giving gifts.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I love giving gifts, but I love receiving like words
- 12:39Speaker 3: of affirmation.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I like that. Okay.
- 12:41Speaker 2: See, like I'm not a huge gift guy.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I love them.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And I'm like, Oh my gosh, this is like insane.
- 12:45Speaker 3: But like, What really gets me is when they like
- 12:48Speaker 3: tell me like, dude, I really love you. And like,
- 12:50Speaker 3: this is how I feel about you, you know?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Isn't that so interesting?
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 1: How you like to show love by giving of the gifts,
- 12:56Speaker 1: but you know, you could care less to give, receive them,
- 12:59Speaker 1: but you would love people to like talk to you
- 13:01Speaker 1: about how they feel.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And that's kind of like, I also love, I love
- 13:05Speaker 2: like that as well.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Like I love telling people and getting off my chest, like,
- 13:09Speaker 3: cause I know I love it. So, you know, That's
- 13:12Speaker 3: why I'm always hyping everybody up.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I love that.
- 13:14Speaker 1: We went really deep here. Yeah. What are we? Can
- 13:19Speaker 1: we clear the rest of his afternoon? We've got more
- 13:20Speaker 1: to unpick here.
- 13:22Speaker 2: If we're going to keep it on the surface, why
- 13:24Speaker 2: are we here?
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely.
- 13:25Speaker 2: We've got to dive deep.
- 13:25Speaker 1: No, we absolutely do.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Let's get the real facts.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Let's go with the real facts. Collaboration-wise, you are no
- 13:31Speaker 1: stranger to them. do you enjoy musically collaborating with a
- 13:35Speaker 1: bunch of different artists? Because like the list isn't like long.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Our own, the Kid LAROI, the Jonas Brothers, Luke Combs.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Was there a Diplo one in there? There was a Diplo,
- 13:44Speaker 1: because I think I saw you at the iHeart Festival
- 13:45Speaker 1: in Vegas last year. Yeah, you were always collabing with someone.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's my favorite way to make music, honestly. Yeah,
- 13:54Speaker 3: ever since, you know, collabing with the Jonas Brothers is
- 13:58Speaker 3: really what, it made me like excited to do more
- 14:03Speaker 3: collaborations because they treated me like so nice.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Like they were so nice.
- 14:07Speaker 3: And so like the perfect way to learn how to
- 14:10Speaker 3: collaborate was like, they really, you know, showed me that.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 3: So then, uh, I got the opportunity with Kid Leroy.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I got the opportunity. We were just hanging out, and
- 14:19Speaker 3: he liked this song that I played him.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And he was like, dude, I want to get on that.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And I'm like, all right, sick.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Because obviously musicians are all from different walks. You're all
- 14:26Speaker 1: from different walks of life, right? Do you sometimes, when
- 14:28Speaker 1: you meet someone musically to collaborate with, do you go,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing in common with you? I'm finding
- 14:33Speaker 1: it real hard to chat to you. Or you're very giving,
- 14:36Speaker 1: so you just fill the room.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, I just love everybody. And there's... There's not
- 14:43Speaker 3: a person in the world that I'm like, I don't
- 14:45Speaker 3: like this person. I like everybody. And I love everybody.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So I'm just like, yeah, I'll collaborate. Well, if you're
- 14:52Speaker 3: mean to me, don't be mean to me.
- 14:54Speaker 1: No, don't be mean.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I've never had that happen. No one who would be
- 14:56Speaker 2: mean to you.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Look at you.
- 14:58Speaker 2: As long as you treat me nice and.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You like a good hang. If you can buy him
- 15:02Speaker 1: a drink afterwards, he's fine.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And like, you know, like big X the plug.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 3: That's been a relationship that's really... continued and continued and
- 15:14Speaker 3: he like we text and we really do talk to
- 15:16Speaker 3: each other and we've been working in the studio a
- 15:19Speaker 3: lot more on new music you know after after all
- 15:21Speaker 3: the way i was just like dude this is just
- 15:24Speaker 3: such a really cool collaboration that doesn't feel like it
- 15:27Speaker 3: needs to end like we could make more music so
- 15:30Speaker 3: like we've been making more music and yeah yeah.
- 15:33Speaker 1: All right here we go we're running out of time
- 15:35Speaker 1: 60 seconds with bailey zimmerman are you ready to go
- 15:36Speaker 1: lightning round no don't you start thinking just you know
- 15:39Speaker 1: just what's your nickname growing up um.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Zim?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Okay, go-to coffee order?
- 15:47Speaker 2: Vanilla latte, extra vanilla.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Wow, that's LA. You've changed. It tastes good, man. Yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 1: something your friends would say about you behind your back.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Wow, that guy never shuts up. Holy crap.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Do you have your own Netflix account, or do you
- 16:03Speaker 1: still mooch off someone else?
- 16:05Speaker 2: Nope, I'm with my mom still.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Okay, great. What's an ick that turns you off someone?
- 16:10Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Let's say pass.
- 16:15Speaker 2: When they're rude to somebody.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Rudeness. Yes.
- 16:17Speaker 2: When they're rude to a waiter or like a waitress.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 2: It's like, nope. Not cool.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Last thing you ordered on Uber Eats.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Chick-fil-A.

- 16:38Speaker 2: all time?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh.
- 16:40Speaker 2: You know what? I'm going to have to say Love
- 16:45Speaker 2: Song by Tesla.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Okay. Yep. Okay. And then do you believe in ghosts?
- 16:51Speaker 2: No.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Okay. That was an affirmative no. No.
- 16:56Speaker 3: No?
- 16:57Speaker 2: I refuse.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I rebuke it in the name of Jesus. You rebuke
- 17:01Speaker 1: the negative energy of ghosts. Hey, wonderful to meet you, mate.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah, great to meet you.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Congrats on the song. Congrats on everything. We'll see you
