- 0:46Speaker 2: That is true.
- 0:46Speaker 3: People are like, you know what, there are plenty of
- 0:48Speaker 3: other showings.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go to the standard definition one, which is
- 0:53Speaker 2: just fine. You don't need to see things leaping off
- 0:56Speaker 2: the screen at you.
- 0:57Speaker 3: No, that's on popcorn exactly. But had a good time,
- 1:00Speaker 3: so that's why.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Wow, that's that's great. Everybody's raving about that.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, what about you? Why are you feeling good?
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm just thankful that my significant other is not out
- 1:08Speaker 2: on work travel for another weekend. It seems like it's
- 1:11Speaker 2: been an eternity. I had a nice Easter brunch yesterday.
- 1:15Speaker 2: It was really good to see the dogs, Kona and
- 1:18Speaker 2: Nover together because Novah stays with her because our hours
- 1:21Speaker 2: are just so ridiculous, and.
- 1:23Speaker 3: It would it was like a little family affair.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Really, it was like a family reunion, like you've come
- 1:28Speaker 2: back on this blessed Easter Sunday and now it's Monday
- 1:34Speaker 2: and we are going to start a new work week.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Although it's less musical than that. But anyway, why are
- 1:40Speaker 2: you feeling good? Reach out? Let us know, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 2: if it's easier, tap to talk back microphone if you want.

- 1:54Speaker 2: as we get a new week started together, we can
- 1:57Speaker 2: get through this. We all will. And stay right there
- 2:00Speaker 2: with ninety seven point one was CHEFM because top story
- 2:02Speaker 2: is at the top of the hour that's what we
- 2:04Speaker 2: call the news for you, and we're gonna get that
- 2:06Speaker 2: for you in just minutes. We good hope you are.
- 2:11Speaker 2: It's ninety seven point one wash Chef M Toby and
- 2:14Speaker 2: Chiley in the morning. Thank you for letting us be
- 2:16Speaker 2: a part of your Monday. Now let's pause and focus
- 2:19Speaker 2: even more on you.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Especially your headspace. This is our morning mindset. We share
- 2:23Speaker 3: a quote for you to think about as you take
- 2:25Speaker 3: on the rest of your day.
- 2:27Speaker 2: The author David Allen writes, you can do anything, but
- 2:31Speaker 2: not everything. Think about that you can do anything but
- 2:36Speaker 2: not everything. So what is David Allen trying to say
- 2:40Speaker 2: to you and I to us focus is power. Choose
- 2:45Speaker 2: what actually matters today and this week. Because you can
- 2:50Speaker 2: do anything, but when you try to do everything, well,
- 2:54Speaker 2: you just can't. There's no bandwidth for that. So focus,
- 2:59Speaker 2: use that power that you've got, and then make the
- 3:02Speaker 2: most of what actually happens when you do it. David
- 3:06Speaker 2: Allen with your morning mindset. If it moved you, you
- 3:09Speaker 2: can find it on our Insta, Facebook, the Toby and
- 3:12Speaker 2: Chili page at washfm dot com. All of the things.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Go and have an incredible week, because well, you deserve
- 3:18Speaker 2: nothing less than that were Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
- 3:21Speaker 2: It's ninety seven point one WASHFM. Now that you've got
- 3:23Speaker 2: your mind right, stay with us because coming.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Up next we're gonna talk about the Artemis two, the
- 3:28Speaker 3: Orion spacecraft. Boy, it's pretty cramped in there, it is.
- 3:33Speaker 3: And I guess we got a hold of the menu, yes,
- 3:36Speaker 3: that these astronauts have.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Are they eating like kings or are they eating glorified toothpaste.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Freeze dried stuff? You mean, I don't know. You may
- 3:46Speaker 3: be surprised to find out.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Well, we will in minutes. It's Toby and Chilly in
- 3:49Speaker 2: the Morning, continues Jase, you missed it. We're going to
- 3:53Speaker 2: the moon. Well we're gonna lap around it a couple
- 3:55Speaker 2: of times. Yeah, Toby and Chilly in the Morning, ninety
- 3:57Speaker 2: seven point one WASHFM. But NASA launched off the Artemis
- 4:00Speaker 2: spacecraft and it is now headed directly for the Moon.
- 4:04Speaker 2: They had a couple of glitches early on.
- 4:07Speaker 3: One big glitch was the toilet breaking. Yeah, not good,
- 4:11Speaker 3: but they fixed it.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And you know what we've seen on the Internet of
- 4:14Speaker 2: Things as we've been talking about Artemis. What's not the menus?
- 4:18Speaker 3: Oh? Well, I will say I was pleasantly surprised at
- 4:21Speaker 3: the kind of food that they're out having them there,
- 4:23Speaker 3: because if I'm being honest, there's nothing much about the
- 4:26Speaker 3: capsule or spacecraft experience that looks good. It's a claustrophobic
- 4:30Speaker 3: tiny place that is very tight, and yeah, there's really
- 4:34Speaker 3: not a lot of space to move around in.
- 4:36Speaker 2: No, no, it's not like the Dragon capsules from SpaceX.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Those are roomian.
- 4:41Speaker 3: But you know this one is built to do what
- 4:43Speaker 3: this one is built to do, right, And you and
- 4:45Speaker 3: I clearly are not cut out to be astronauts, and
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'm not even now there's some of this stuff on
- 4:49Speaker 3: the menu does look impressive, though.
- 4:51Speaker 2: We are qualified to eat astronaut food. I wouldn't mind
- 4:55Speaker 2: trying the strawberry breakfast drink, or perhaps maybe even the
- 4:58Speaker 2: pineapple drink. Yeah, I love pineapple. I wonder what that
- 5:02Speaker 2: even tastes like.
- 5:03Speaker 3: I mean, they have one hundred and eighty nine unique
- 5:05Speaker 3: menu items to choose from up there. I'd go for
- 5:07Speaker 3: the mac and cheese here on the menu. I wouldn't
- 5:10Speaker 3: mind some granola with blueberries.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Maybe for breakfast, I want the mac and cheese with
- 5:14Speaker 2: the barbecued beef Briskit. Wait a minute, let me look
- 5:17Speaker 2: and see if they have anything to top it off with,
- 5:19Speaker 2: because you know how I am about my condiments. Do
- 5:21Speaker 2: you have barbecue sauce?
- 5:22Speaker 3: I don't think we could really peep picky about how
- 5:24Speaker 3: this stuff tastes because they're not going up into the
- 5:27Speaker 3: space to do a drive by of the mood for
- 5:30Speaker 3: the culinary experience. They're doing it for science and.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Not going to some Jose Andres restaurant to know. They're
- 5:35Speaker 2: just going to space to eat some spicy green means
- 5:38Speaker 2: and hope.
- 5:38Speaker 3: That they're toileting well and therein lies exactly. And this,
- 5:41Speaker 3: ladies and gentlemen, is why it's important that toilet doesn't
- 5:45Speaker 3: malfunction again, because look at all the stuff they're eating them.
- 5:47Speaker 2: That's right, go Artemis go. We're going back to the
- 5:50Speaker 2: Moon for the first time in over fifty years. The
- 5:52Speaker 2: menu look slight years ahead of what it must have
- 5:55Speaker 2: been like back on the Apollo days.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 5:57Speaker 2: If you want to take a read at what the
- 5:58Speaker 2: Artemis crew men, he looks like. We got you covered
- 6:01Speaker 2: Toby in Chilipage at waschefm dot com. And if you
- 6:04Speaker 2: work at NASA Goddard and you want to bring some
- 6:07Speaker 2: astronaut food over. We'd be happy to be guinea pigs
- 6:10Speaker 2: and try it all. Bring the biscuit and the mac
- 6:12Speaker 2: and cheese. And coming up next with Toby and Chili
- 6:15Speaker 2: in the morning.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Top Stories at the top of the hour, update you

- 8:47Speaker 2: have stored their long term? I mean you moved out
- 8:50Speaker 2: when and it's still there? What do you have at
- 8:54Speaker 2: your parents' place? Or maybe you don't jump in and
- 8:57Speaker 2: tell us what you think. Eight sixty six, nine two, seven,

- 9:11Speaker 2: because you are the female part of the equation in
- 9:14Speaker 2: this little room and our little dysfunctional morning family. There's
- 9:18Speaker 2: some research out now that says women between the ages
- 9:21Speaker 2: of forty to sixty five say that they get mental
- 9:24Speaker 2: health benefits from going to the night club. That's right,
- 9:29Speaker 2: you can find them in the club. Oh over half
- 9:32Speaker 2: say that it lets them express a different side of
- 9:35Speaker 2: themselves and boosts their well mean, why am I envisioning cougars.
- 9:41Speaker 2: This research also notes that participants consider that going to
- 9:45Speaker 2: the club is a good part of the fitness routine.
- 9:49Speaker 3: What in the world this makes no sense to me.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I cannot speak for all women over the age of forty,
- 9:57Speaker 3: but I've been over forty four minute and I you
- 10:00Speaker 3: didn't like the club when I was in my twenties
- 10:02Speaker 3: because those places are loud, they're sweaty, people are all
- 10:06Speaker 3: up on you.
- 10:07Speaker 2: The music is got big thump and bass, big low in.

- 10:50Speaker 2: Unfortunately, Chili, I don't believe that most clubs find that
- 10:54Speaker 2: to be their prime time. If you will, but maybe
- 10:57Speaker 2: you've got thoughts. Do you feel like if you you
- 11:00Speaker 2: or a woman of a certain age between forty and
- 11:02Speaker 2: sixty five, that you might have positive mental health benefits
- 11:05Speaker 2: from going to the club? Feel free to speak out.

- 14:48Speaker 2: maybe tikkok.

- 15:05Speaker 2: named Bobo. Oh he's the best.
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'd rather follow a dog or cat on social media
- 15:11Speaker 3: than some people, that's for sure.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Truth.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Well, that's an excellent guest there, Susan. It's also correct,

- 15:53Speaker 2: point one wasch FM coming right back with a story
- 15:56Speaker 2: that we think might just make your Monday.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Eighteen year old from Virginia turned frustration over her own
- 16:03Speaker 3: homes water filter into a breakthrough invention.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Wait until you hear about this. It's on the way.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Thank you for waking up with Toby and Chilly in

- 16:17Speaker 2: we know that you love these stories that make you
- 16:20Speaker 2: feel good about life in the DMV and it is Monday,
- 16:23Speaker 2: So it's time for one of those stories that we
- 16:25Speaker 2: think might just make your Monday. Imagine this if you will.
- 16:29Speaker 2: You're eighteen, you're in high school, and you are already
- 16:32Speaker 2: taking on one of the biggest invisible threats on the planet.
- 16:37Speaker 2: That's what Mia Heller, She's a teenager from Fakier County, Warrenton,
- 16:41Speaker 2: to be exact, she decided to do after learning just
- 16:44Speaker 2: how widespread microplastics have become. Now, these tiny particles, they're everywhere.
- 16:50Speaker 2: They're in our food, our water, even inside our bodies.
- 16:54Speaker 3: And this issue really hit close to home because in
- 16:57Speaker 3: MIA's own community there were concerns about contaminated water and
- 17:01Speaker 3: her family had put in an infiltration system there, but
- 17:04Speaker 3: it was expensive, very high maintenance, and it was constantly
- 17:06Speaker 3: needing new filters. And watching that whole process over and
- 17:10Speaker 3: over again sparks something in her, and so.
- 17:12Speaker 2: She started rethinking how filtration works. She wanted to know
- 17:16Speaker 2: how to remove microplastics without relying on the traditional old
- 17:21Speaker 2: ways that clog and wear out and it cost a
- 17:25Speaker 2: bunch to maintain. And she found a solution, a solution
- 17:28Speaker 2: using a magnetic liquid that binds to microplastics and then
- 17:33Speaker 2: pulls them out of the water using a magnet.
- 17:36Speaker 3: And here's what's incredible. The prototype that she created removes
- 17:40Speaker 3: ninety six percent of microplastics from drinking water. And her
- 17:44Speaker 3: system is designed to be reusable and be lower maintenance.
- 17:48Speaker 3: And experts are already paying very close attention because the
- 17:51Speaker 3: idea itself is very strong and the potential is huge.
- 17:54Speaker 2: This did not come from some billion dollar lab or
