Transcript
- 0:01Hello, folks, this is Princess, you are listening to the
- 0:04millennial Mustard Seed, pod casts.
- 0:06Thanks for listening. Don't forget to share with your
- 0:09friends. I stopped wearing a very tough
- 0:12spot. I think that what we're doing
- 0:15right now is a great benefit and virtue because it's an
- 0:19end-around between this whole corrupt informational system
- 0:23media system. We claim to believe in a God who
- 0:27spoke the universe into existence and literally raised
- 0:30himself from the dead. And yet, we're not going to
- 0:34believe that anything else exists in the spirit realm, even
- 0:37though his word tells us that they do, Their bodies weren't
- 0:41permitted to go to sleep, like humans, do.
- 0:44And there were permitted to go to heaven.
- 0:46So they wander the Earth. You know, I've seen the eyes
- 0:50turned black to unknown tongues being spoken.
- 0:55These Giants were love way up with all the upgrades, the young
- 0:59man, which I have been the trees away for one of these 12/4 to
- 1:02come walking down the back and they would jump on Dragon back.
- 1:15Then people start to get weapons, I start to get armor,
- 1:17they start to build cities. They saw the fortify their
- 1:19cities now, God looks down, and there's violence everywhere.
- 1:24The battle this war that we are at, is not against each other.
- 1:28It's against these principalities in these rulers
- 1:30in, these are cons in high places.
- 1:32It's really worthwhile to read the Bible yourself.
- 1:35Here is one of the primary drivers of mind control because
- 1:40we have to take every thought captive and resist fear.
- 1:47You're going to have a testimony that is a Justice case against
- 1:52the kingdom of darkness. Welcome back to the millennial
- 2:08Mustard Seed, pod cast, thank you for being here.
- 2:12I have an excellent episode of store for you, guys.
- 2:14I have Tim Moon here. The author of tomato Fields,
- 2:19Tim's, a cryptozoologist with a passion for writing fiction
- 2:23mystery. He likes scary, monsters history
- 2:26and philosophy on this. Awesome conversation with Tim,
- 2:29we A little bit about his book. His testimony, everything that
- 2:33God has helped him overcome throughout this journey this
- 2:38process and where he's at in life.
- 2:40It's really, it's such a beautiful story.
- 2:42You guys in Tim's own words. He sent me a message and just
- 2:45Amanda was so much flow and connection in our conversation.
- 2:50He was really happy to have been here on the podcast just as
- 2:53happy as I was to have him. He's working on a part 2, a
- 2:57sequel to Tomato fields which has excellent Aunt reviews at
- 3:00this point in time is very well received among the community of
- 3:04people who are willing to think outside of the box a little bit
- 3:09and just take a different approach to what some of these
- 3:12Cryptids might be. Now in Tim's own words.
- 3:15He said to me when we got off air and this is what was really
- 3:17solid for me. He said, I felt so good about
- 3:22getting certain things off my chest.
- 3:25There's parts of his testimony and about the power of God and
- 3:28how Tim emptied himself. We just dive into his story and
- 3:33he was expressing to me, how rewarding, and how much better
- 3:38of fell for him to get everything off his chest.
- 3:40And to put it out there for me, hearing that it was so powerful
- 3:44because it just reminds me of the ripple effect, you know,
- 3:48having a podcast, capturing our own journey and then taking the
- 3:52time to hear other people out and see what they went through,
- 3:56see how God has worked in their life, it really is edifying as
- 3:59encouraging. And I hope you guys enjoyed this
- 4:03episode and go check out Tim's book.

- 4:50you interviewed. So you can share your testimony
- 4:53with the rest of listening world.
- 4:56And with all that being said, I am ready to dive into this
- 4:59episode. You guys ready?
- 5:01Welcome back to the show. Everybody, I have the one and
- 5:19only Tim Moon here, who is the author of a popular book, tomato
- 5:25Fields? Tim, welcome to the show.
- 5:27It's an honor to have you here. Well, thank you.
- 5:29It's an honor to be here. Here.
- 5:31Absolutely. So it's your first time here
- 5:33with us and I'm really excited for you to tell us your
- 5:37testimony and then we'll dive into a little bit of your book
- 5:40here. So do you want to start off just
- 5:42kind of jumping into telling us how you became the 10 Moon, you
- 5:45are today. I don't know, I don't really
- 5:49know how to answer that. I have gone through quite a bit
- 5:57in my life. I yeah.
- 6:00Are you talking more from my beliefs in Bigfoot and or you
- 6:05talking more from my maybe religious beliefs or so, I mean,
- 6:11I have heard you talk a little bit about, you know, kind of
- 6:13like growing up in a haunted house and like, just some
- 6:16different things that you've dealt with.
- 6:18Yeah. Do you want to kind of start
- 6:19off? Just telling us what you believe
- 6:22and what led you into writing the book and then a couple
- 6:25experiences that have happened over the course of your life.
- 6:29Oh yeah, easy enough. I've changed a lot over the
- 6:32years. I was what you would call born
- 6:35again in college. I'm long past college.
- 6:39And I went through several experiences and I'm consider
- 6:44myself kind of a Christian Mystic.
- 6:46Now, a lot of the stuff just didn't fit didn't work for me,
- 6:52and I have come to believe that we are in God.
- 6:57We are in Christ. it's not somewhere else or somewhere else
- 7:01we're all in him and all things are held together in him and I
- 7:07believe that that involves the entire known universe and
- 7:12unknown universe and it's it's Because I believe that and I
- 7:19know that all things are in Christ and all things, he uses
- 7:25all a lot in the Bible and that he is more powerful than any
- 7:33other force that exists and that he's holding us together.
- 7:37And I believe Redemption was for the entire universe, not just
- 7:42for earth-centered. Group of people on the Earth.
- 7:47And so I see it in a much more comprehensive.
- 7:50Big picture, mystical way in a Oneness in God in Christ, and
- 7:56that we can have that all the time.
- 7:58And not when I hear the reference getting close to God,
- 8:03I always think, well, how can you not be close to God?
- 8:06He's everywhere and you're somewhere, you have to be next
- 8:08to him coin is that they're not consciously close to God because
- 8:13in their mind there, Focusing, their security and attention on
- 8:17things that are, they're not separating them from God,
- 8:21they're just not allowing them to be conscious of God, they're
- 8:24not allowing them to focus on God, but when you, but that
- 8:28doesn't mean you're not close to God.
- 8:29You're always close to God. He's everywhere.
- 8:32And it's just so I see it more. As we just need to be
- 8:36consciously aware of his presence.
- 8:39And typically, we're not, when we're focusing on other things
- 8:42to get security or Because we're afraid or because we're angry
- 8:48and those things then draw our attention away from God and
- 8:53focus in on something else. But we're not separated from
- 8:56God. We're just our focus is
- 9:00separated from God. I believe, is most Christianity
- 9:05in the world is not Protestant. It's Catholic or Orthodox and of
- 9:10those I think Orthodox is probably closer to the truth at
- 9:14least they Tour. The mystery of the faith a
- 9:16little bit better than than Catholicism does not that I'm
- 9:21have anything against Catholicism.
- 9:23Some of the finest people, I know, are Catholic, and some of
- 9:27my best friends are Protestant, but I'm probably a little more
- 9:30leaning toward the Orthodox without accepting everything
- 9:36carte blanche because I don't do that anymore.
- 9:39Absolutely. Okay.
- 9:40I believe that Christ is a mystery that the Trinity is
- 9:44Mystery. If you think you can explain the
- 9:46Trinity. Yeah, good luck.
- 9:48Okay. And there's three and there's a
- 9:51there. There is a connection there that
- 9:54the East and the West, the East focuses on do a non Duality
- 9:58because the belief that all reality is is is connected and
- 10:04it's and it's in it and it has its source in some kind of
- 10:07universal. So divine power and the West
- 10:12breaks, everything up into this. And that and here and there and
- 10:19divides, everything logically and we Define everything.
- 10:21And when you define something, you not only Amplify a little
- 10:26bit, you also limited. So I believe the to have to come
- 10:30together for people to have a spirituality and proper
- 10:35understanding of God and it's they don't they're not designed
- 10:38to be fighting and only religions fight over things.
- 10:42And it's typically ego-driven people are created in the image
- 10:46of God. Everybody is, these are precious
- 10:49people. They're created in His image,
- 10:51they are his Divine image and We need to love each other and
- 10:56that's not. That means everybody just needs
- 10:58to love each other and get over their power struggles.
- 11:02That's kind of where I'm coming from.
- 11:04I'm not one religion anymore, so and I just try to do my best to
- 11:09love my neighbor. I mean, I'm getting hit with the
- 11:12scripture where you're talking about, where could we go?
- 11:15That God's not. Okay, I think I want to say it's
- 11:17David and doesn't he say, where can I go?
- 11:20And not find your presence? He's like I can go all the way
- 11:22down to sheol or down to the underworld Are you are people
- 11:25need to hear this? I'm so happy.
- 11:27We're having this conversation when people say, oh, I'm growing
- 11:30closer with God. It's like no, you may be
- 11:33adjusting your focus. You may be trying to.
- 11:36Yeah, we have to be willing to accept what God has already
- 11:40done. He's the beginning the end, he's
- 11:42the right now. He's the future, right?
- 11:44And it's like a lot of the times we like to take these little
- 11:47Snippets and give some focus and then say Oh God is good or he's
- 11:51doing this or that or acknowledge him, but then 90% of
- 11:54the time. Just you know, my God, my belly.
- 11:57What I want, right. And we see that a lot of them in
- 11:59the culture as it appears, he goes and we decorate them and we
- 12:04put on it home for people and it isn't, it is not putting our
- 12:08focus on God, and when you, when they say you're separated from
- 12:12God, you're not separated from God, use your focus is separated
- 12:17from God because you are alienated and hostile in mind
- 12:24and You could be a born-again Christian and be alienated and
- 12:27hostile, because your focus is not on your need and dependency
- 12:32on him. It is on you.
- 12:34I didn't mean to. I don't mean to preach course,
- 12:36in a new side of Tim here, I'm going to kind of walk into from
- 12:41here. Let's talk a little bit about
- 12:43your book. Well, this about the book, you
- 12:45wrote tomato Fields, what? Well, I've been so I've been
- 12:48studying this in fascinated by this since I was a kid.
- 12:55And I saw the movie, The Legend of Boggy Creek and That's a
- 13:00classic now, but it's almost a cult film.
- 13:03But it's really, it was a low-budget movie that that just
- 13:07captivated my understanding of Bigfoot, or my awareness.
- 13:11And I, for some reason just always felt there probably is
- 13:14truth to this. This thing probably does exist
- 13:17and it just was in the back of my mind for much of my life.
- 13:20But in the last 20 years, I started really looking Into it
- 13:25and really doing the research more as a historian because I'm
- 13:28a historian by trade and listen to thousands of stories.
- 13:32And just I can't get enough list of the stories on it.
- 13:35And I started to think that maybe, if you could use fiction
- 13:42properly that you could have a bigger impact on drawing people
- 13:47to this mystery, then you can with facts because you can use
- 13:53nonfiction and All the facts and all the details.
- 13:57And I think people just turn that off sometimes but they're
- 14:00motivated by stories. Stories cell and facts tell and
- 14:06but stories go down a little deeper.
- 14:08If you can develop the right characters and you can you can
- 14:12have the right amount of of drama and tension.
- 14:18You can maybe draw people into characters who they might
- 14:21believe even though they may not have believed the book by By
- 14:25biologists to took took, you know pictures and had some hair
- 14:30samples, people just low that off.
- 14:33I found in my opinion, what I saw people were just blowing
- 14:36that up. And so I was just hoping that
- 14:39maybe someone could write a fiction that would Captivate
- 14:43people in catch them and draw them in.
- 14:45So, that's what I'm trying to do.
- 14:47I can't guarantee you that I've done it but I'm trying.
- 14:51I think that someone is you. I hope so.
- 14:55I like to write a couple more. I think it's really interesting
- 14:58that, you know, taking the approach to trying to get people
- 15:02emotionally. Yeah.
- 15:03Interested in the topic. Yeah.
- 15:05I mean I had Brian good dowel on a few years ago and just we
- 15:10talked about the power of Storytelling.
- 15:13Yes. Right.
- 15:14And we see how Hollywood will use these half-truths to
- 15:17entertain people and it's always from It's not a fully truthful
- 15:23perspective but yet they'll get people familiar with these
- 15:26ideas, almost to systematically desensitize them to what the
- 15:30truth is. But when we take the approach
- 15:33and get people emotionally involved and interested in these
- 15:38topics, very smart move, I must say very smart.
- 15:42Well, I'm hoping it'll work. I think that stories are
- 15:45important and we really made to tell stories.
- 15:47Most history has been passed on through telling stories.
- 15:51Now, I just want to undo this mention real quick as we are
- 15:53laughing about this. A few minutes ago off are your a
- 15:57crypto Zoo. Novelist.
- 16:01I made that up after listening to someone else funny played on
- 16:05Words With cryptozoology. So I thought, well, maybe so.
- 16:11I did that. I think it's kind of cool, but
- 16:14it sounds like you absolutely epic.
- 16:16Yeah. It's definitely an attention.
- 16:17Grabber, you look at the word and it's like, you think?
- 16:20Something that you may have seen before.
- 16:22So you get it, read it and try to pronounce it and you're like,
- 16:24whoa, s, so really works Rosie off that first.
- 16:28I have it on Instagram and Twitter and so you're a history
- 16:31buff. Yeah, now I teach history.
- 16:34So I do Administration to and so various types of jobs I do
- 16:41you're on the west coast Austin, Texas.
- 16:44Okay, in Austin Texas, I grew up in Washington and my brother
- 16:48lives in Washington and that's where he had his encounter.
- 16:51He still lived in that house house is their house in the
- 16:53book. Your childhood home was where
- 16:56what state was that in Seattle Magnolia area?
- 17:01Now, I've heard you talk a little bit about some strange
- 17:05things that happened. Growing up, fill me in the
- 17:08audience, and we were little kids from the time, I was in
- 17:11about fourth grade till I was in about seventh grade.
- 17:16We lived in a house, really nice house.
- 17:19We loved it. Great.
- 17:20Memories. But we we think there was a
- 17:24ghost in that house and different things would happen.
- 17:28Joe, my brother actually seen it.
- 17:31Once walking, following my dad into the bathroom.
- 17:35He could see it in close, but it was also see through it looked
- 17:39like a little boy, was the image of a little boy, but it was
- 17:42see-through. And then he followed my dad into
- 17:45the bathroom. And he so Joe ran in the
- 17:47bathroom to see who this was following his dad and there.
- 17:50Was nothing there. And there were many other
- 17:55experiences when my grandma experienced something scratching
- 17:58under her bed and she got really scared eventually and left the
- 18:02house, got a taxi and went to a hotel and there was a time when
- 18:09mantelpiece lived It Off The Mantel of the fireplace and
- 18:13lifted out into the ways and then drop to the ground and
- 18:16shattered. And then there was some time, I
- 18:20heard it doing things, and there's other times, other
- 18:22people heard it doing things. And my mom, seen enough things,
- 18:27they got out a Ouija board. And before I say this, I just
- 18:31want you to know. I do not endorse that, but I was
- 18:33only like a and I knew nothing about Ouija boards.
- 18:36Now, I do not endorse those. I would avoid them.
- 18:38If, if I was you, but she did it and she found out the, the
- 18:44initials that she thought of this, his spirit.
- 18:50I remember watching. It was pretty strange.
- 18:52And and then she apparently went downtown and checked it out, and
- 18:57found out that a little boy had died in the house.
- 19:00We just came to realize that it was their kind of part of the
- 19:04family and we just accepted it. Took it for granted and if we
- 19:09heard something kind of knew what it was but it never was
- 19:12malevolent aside from arguably scaring my grandma.
- 19:18And oh wow, and dropping that thing off The Mantel.
- 19:22But aside from that, I remember no instances of any kind of
- 19:28stick something to be afraid of. We'll just to reiterate what you
- 19:33were saying. And my audience, obviously knows
- 19:35this but highly recommend, never playing with the Ouija board
- 19:44trouble, and you can't, yeah, you can't mess with those
- 19:47things. You can invite trouble, since
- 19:51you can't go looking for. If it comes to you, I think we
- 19:55have the ability to deal with it.
- 19:58But if you're looking for it all the time, I That's another
- 20:02thing. Yeah, it's interesting how many
- 20:05people open doors and they don't know the doors even there to be
- 20:09opened in the first place. Like you said, when you're
- 20:11inviting these things in, there's plenty of stories out
- 20:15there of just crazy stuff happening because of that, but
- 20:18it reminds me of in the Bible. God says, don't speak with the
- 20:21dead. He doesn't say, you can't speak
- 20:23with the dead. He doesn't say it's not possible
- 20:25to, he's like saying, don't it's not good for you.
- 20:29I think a lot of time Christians will be like oh no, you can't or
- 20:32that's all fake. It's like know that stuff is
- 20:35real and there's you gotta you gotta realize some of that's
- 20:38protestantism and there is a there is probably some biblical
- 20:42reasons for believing that the saints that there's some
- 20:47interaction between us and the saints that have gone before us.
- 20:52But that said, there is spiritual Dimensions out there
- 20:56and they involve entities, Paul said it powers and
- 20:59principalities in the higher places and have absolutely huge.
- 21:03Don't, you've got to be Discerning and careful.
- 21:06I remember once we had a Catholic girl, he's one of the
- 21:09best kids and she was an employee for us in a business.
- 21:13We owed once and we argued all the time because I was staunchly
- 21:17Protestant and she was staunchly captive.
- 21:20I said, well, I wish I could talk to Paul because there's
- 21:23some things I don't understand. And she said to me, will you
- 21:27just ask me and I'll talk to him?
- 21:29Oh no, but Um so I think probably is a place to be
- 21:37inspired and get inspiration and and it does say that the cloud
- 21:41of witnesses there cheering people on and they're cheering.
- 21:45You know, they're praying for the Redemption of the entire
- 21:48planet in the entire universe. So anyway, I don't want to over
- 21:53do it. Possibly having your grandmother
- 21:56talk to you from the grave. It might not be demonic.
- 22:00So it's okay. But there could be times when
- 22:03stuff like That is so you just have to be Discerning.
- 22:05And in my opinion that's just my opinion, you know, it reminds me
- 22:10and I'm just going to say this based on the scriptures, we were
- 22:13talking about a few minutes ago, but the Apostle Paul says, I
- 22:16wish, the Saints knew the lengths, the depth, the breadth,
- 22:20and the height, there's just so much more going on the veils
- 22:25thinning. Tim the veil is thinning.
- 22:27So you got, you know, non-believers you got atheists,
- 22:30you got Christians, you got all these different groups of
- 22:33people. Whoever they are, they're all
- 22:34starting to really realize there's so much more to the
- 22:39picture here. I think it's amazing that he
- 22:43uses three dimensional groups dimensional reality.
- 22:46Yeah. And he uses that scripture or
- 22:48the height the depth and the width.
- 22:50Okay. And that's three dimensional
- 22:53reality, but Dimension. There it's very likely that
- 22:59we're living in the multi-dimensional reality, many
- 23:01meaning, more than for the Fourth one is time and what one
- 23:06is is using for their he says Lang a lot depth length, breadth
- 23:10and height and hives for those are.
- 23:12Yeah. But those are length and width
- 23:14and height and depth depth is part of the three, but the idea
- 23:18is he's using three dimension to our understanding of
- 23:21three-dimensional reality when he says that.
- 23:23And they didn't understand the dimension of time back.
- 23:26Then, because of Uncle mention is time.
- 23:29There's really multiple Dimensions that are if you if,
- 23:33if you You can you know if you trust some of the quantum
- 23:39physics that we're learning there's probably some guesses,
- 23:42many as 11 knock moderate. He's back and I think it was
- 23:46like the 12th century studied. The Book of Genesis and came to
- 23:49the reality that we lived in ten Dimensions.
- 23:52I think it was like Mark he was killed for it back then.
- 23:54Now modern science is like oh we live in 11 Dimensions, this is
- 23:59another real interesting thing. I didn't even plan on going this
- 24:01direction but sometimes these are the Conversations.
- 24:04Yeah it's so cool that think about this but anyway yes, the
- 24:08best conversation is really when it's not really playing.
- 24:11I mean we're not far off track. But what when the Apostle Paul
- 24:14talks about, he knew a man whether in the body or out of
- 24:17the body, he did not know who went up to the what the second
- 24:20or third heaven. Yeah, I mean, come on.
- 24:23I love when the smoking guns are all over the word of God about
- 24:26this. People actually have good
- 24:29questions. I mean I'm coming across more
- 24:31people in a daily weekly monthly cases that actually have good
- 24:35quite like detailed questions. About how does this stuff
- 24:38operate? Five years ago.
- 24:39They used to make fun of you for being a Christian or believing
- 24:43in. You know, anyone strange stuff,
- 24:45but I think that Paul story that's door.
- 24:47Paul was, I think Paul had a near-death experience.
- 24:51Have you ever heard of near-death experiences?
- 24:54Yeah, I had one at 19 years old. Well, he tied if you read, he
- 24:57died. He was stoned to death.
- 25:00And they knew when they killed him, they were, they were
- 25:02professionals. Stoners.
- 25:05Yeah, you're right. They need and and he and then
- 25:07wow. And he rose from the dead and he
- 25:11he was healed even after he'd been killed with a bunch of
- 25:14rocks, hitting them, I mean, they break your bones, they
- 25:16break your legs, they there they bruise.
- 25:18You and he walked back into town.
- 25:22He had a near-death experience and his description of that is
- 25:26what he's describing. That's my about, that's an
- 25:30interesting take. See, I never really thought of
- 25:32it like that, I've personally I've talked about this on, on
- 25:36the show on and off just little Snippets here and there, but I
- 25:39had a near-death encounter like 19 or 20 years old.
- 25:42I got jumped by a handful of guys, and I mean, not just like
- 25:45a black eye. They stopped me into the ground.
- 25:47These guys were trying to kill him and I started setting up out
- 25:50of my body. I'll never say I died.
- 25:54Yeah. Because I don't believe I died
- 25:56but as the me that is It's hard to explain but it was me coming
- 26:02out of me, you know, whatever. He like almost physical body,
- 26:08still here. But the thing from like your
- 26:10forehead, all the way down to your solar plexus or your gut
- 26:14that makes you, you can cut off your arm, your arm is going to
- 26:16rot in the ground and you're still you, right?
- 26:20You don't lose any personality because you're losing a limb,
- 26:22but it is so strange, you know, my brain swelled up on this,
- 26:27tapping the inside of my skull. I started setting up out of my
- 26:30body. It felt strangely almost like
- 26:34slight pressure all around, kind of, like, if you're in water,
- 26:38you know, like the atmosphere is different.
- 26:40It felt similar like that but it was very dark.
- 26:42It was Eerie. It was, it was strange.
- 26:46It was not not. I mean, obviously, I'm not saved
- 26:49at the time. I didn't grow up in church.
- 26:51I didn't even know to really call on the name of God.
- 26:53Like, I mean, I knew of God, we were like Easter Christmas
- 26:56Christians, but I'm not sure I'm not going to stand on my side.
- 26:59Soap box with this, this story, the audience's heart and plenty
- 27:01of times, but yeah, I had a near-death encounter and that's
- 27:05what launched me into, you know, my whole journey of what I'm
- 27:08doing today. So read, I've listened to so
- 27:10many near-death experience accounts because I had an
- 27:13experience. Please tell me I didn't have a
- 27:15near-death experience, although I probably would have eventually
- 27:18died. I went an addiction issue, an
- 27:22alcohol issue and I had a and I had been a Christian in the past
- 27:31and then I started having these problems as as an older adult
- 27:37and it just got out of control and had another spiritual
- 27:44experience in that recovery that really was life-changing and it
- 27:51pletely, set me free. From the cravings.
- 27:56And the can you tell us? Yeah, I can tell you all about
- 27:59it. Well, I resisted for a long
- 28:02time. The fact that you could drink,
- 28:05you couldn't just drink moderately and that it was
- 28:07completely under your control. And to say, you're powerless
- 28:12over that, which is what the 12 Steps teaches is to say that you
- 28:17can't just do the right thing. You're a victim.
- 28:21And I resisted that victimization and because I
- 28:26thought I had to be able to conduct my to a discipline
- 28:31self-discipline life, be able to stop this and that didn't work.
- 28:37I kept doing stupid things that you just wouldn't do.
- 28:41If you were saying and drinking compulsion and craving got
- 28:47worse, and worse and worse. And I kept saying, I just have
- 28:50to be more responsible. And I have to stop doing it but
- 28:52I would keep doing the things that I was ashamed of like Paul
- 28:55said and I finally came to a place where I went to a
- 29:01conference and some people gave me a book and I went back to the
- 29:05room and started reading the book and these different
- 29:08sections of the book were underlined by people who who
- 29:13were trying to encourage people to stop drinking.
- 29:19And to follow the program. So, I was reading these passages
- 29:25and they were passages out of a book that were were written by
- 29:34someone fifty years ago, and by people who didn't even know me,
- 29:40but they were underlying passages that directly spoke to
- 29:43me. And I thought, because of all
- 29:47the things I had done that, I had disappointed, God so much
- 29:50that he did not want. He wasn't going to help me.
- 29:54If it was up to anything to get recover from alcohol, I was just
- 29:58going to have to do figure it out.
- 30:00I always heard that there's a miracle out there.
- 30:04If you will, just let go and let God and admit you're powerless,
- 30:09you'll have a miracle. And that's what I did.
- 30:12I said, you know what, you must still love me to be able to
- 30:15doing that to be doing this and showing me this and I, right,
- 30:20right there. Just let go and said, I admit
- 30:22that, I'm powerless over this drug.
- 30:24I can't control it from that minute on.
- 30:29I have not had a drink. And that was five and a half
- 30:33years ago and then I learned and grown through the other steps.
- 30:38Most of my recovery has been reconciling my first spiritual
- 30:43experience with my second because they were both
- 30:46legitimate. What was the first was a
- 30:49born-again experience in a church and college, then
- 30:54jellicle charismatic church. And actually, and it's so funny
- 30:59because God told me, don't drink He told me to stop drinking.
- 31:04And I said okay so I stopped I thought I don't know why I
- 31:09didn't know anything about alcoholism.
- 31:11Now I know why alcoholism is a disease that runs in many
- 31:14families. Its genetic and you can't
- 31:17control it. Some people and various people
- 31:21have various levels of control but a real alcoholic if you
- 31:25drink you are going to have trouble at some level
- 31:28controlling that and some people goes to dying.
- 31:32We're going insane. That's it.
- 31:34I don't know why, but I'm going to stop.
- 31:36So I start that in drink for 15 years.
- 31:38I figured well, I'm an adult now, and I've learned moderate
- 31:43myself. I can drink with moderation.
- 31:47It started off being a glass of wine and then it became too.
- 31:51And pretty soon I was polishing off the whole bottle and going
- 31:56through multiple bottles and it just kept getting worse until I
- 32:02change to part or out. Alcohol because there was less
- 32:05calories and just your ability to consume it continues to rise
- 32:12and it just becomes more and more of a craving more and more
- 32:15of a craziness. And a drive, when compulsion to
- 32:19do to fulfill, its you, that the restlessness in your heart.
- 32:25And I fear and tension, and just get me out of here.
- 32:30I can't take this anymore, but you have one drink.
- 32:32And oh, man, you start. You start getting this crazy,
- 32:36you know, and that happens to a lot of people.
- 32:38Okay. So yeah, just helped expose me
- 32:40because I couldn't do. I wasn't enough to fix this?
- 32:44I couldn't follow enough laws. Yeah.
- 32:47And anyway, I needed to be changed.
- 32:52I needed to have some kind of experience, and that required me
- 32:55to say, I can't do it. It's out of my control, so
- 33:01powerful and if people are in addiction of any kind, It's
- 33:08likely that you can't beat it yourself that you need help
- 33:13from. From God.
- 33:15I know it's gone. Some people say high power.
- 33:18That's fine. If you want to say it's God and
- 33:21God we need God. And there are several things
- 33:24we're not ever going to be able to do we just have to let go of
- 33:28them. Trust, God and move away.
- 33:30If you tried to explain what water was to a fish.
- 33:33They would think you're crazy because they just they don't
- 33:36know what what what Otter is they just live in it?
- 33:41And I think we live in God. The same way we live and breathe
- 33:44and have our being we live and move and have our being in God,
- 33:49just like a fish lives and breathes and has their being in
- 33:51water. And when I started seeing God as
- 33:55surrounding me, and him being my brother and being my father and
- 34:00being by the presence of him being Supernatural and
- 34:06unlimited. And full and complete and
- 34:10everywhere started feeling that I was always in God, and that I
- 34:15was all. That's when I started developing
- 34:17the understanding of consciously focused on that presence that
- 34:21all came to me, through the recovery from alcoholism, to me,
- 34:26the Tendency to decorate egos instead of getting rid of them.
- 34:38Dr. Laura was on which has been on quite a few times, but we
- 34:41release an episode recently. And there's this climax during
- 34:44the episode. For me, personally where she
- 34:47talks about how David emptied himself before.
- 34:50God, I've heard people use the term ego death, right?
- 34:54Like I had an ego death, I've heard that term used and there's
- 34:57something it's so peculiar because until it happens to you
- 35:02or maybe you're in process, or it's coming down the pipeline
- 35:06for some of us listeners. Has to this episode or maybe
- 35:09we've already experienced it. But if we've ever come to that
- 35:14place and we acknowledge who God is for what he says of himself,
- 35:21but what he says in the word, The Great.
- 35:23I Am, he's omnipotent, he's omnipotent, he's the beginning
- 35:26and the end, right? Like everywhere, he's Spirit,
- 35:30those who worship. God must Worship in here,
- 35:33spirit, and truth, right? If we come to that kind of
- 35:36conclusion a life, because The whole world is built to keep you
- 35:39from coming to that conclusion, right?
- 35:41Oh, entertainment, go go. Go right.
- 35:44Make as much money as you can't write, the soul Society wants to
- 35:47harness a plow to your back and make you produce right and keep
- 35:51us distracted. So I hear you talking about
- 35:54tuning in your focus and then you sharing this powerful
- 35:57touching? No Letting Go.
- 35:59Whoo because I'm telling you that I think the fall while an
- 36:03took place when they said, when man said we got this.
- 36:06Yeah, you don't need. Need you don't I know you.
- 36:09Yeah, stay over there. We got this.
- 36:12Thanks for the planet and we don't got this but and know and
- 36:18I and and often times even the born-again message, they'll say,
- 36:23Get born again. I was like is though.
- 36:25Praying the prayers going to change your whole future but
- 36:30then the born again is really reverencing.
- 36:35Trusting God like a child trust God, Like an Eagle is Eagle is
- 36:39child. Trust God And be dependent on
- 36:44him letting go and trusting him to guide and live your life
- 36:49through him. That is different than just
- 36:52saying a prayer. There's so much truth and power
- 36:56to what you're saying and this is when I know this was meant to
- 37:00be talked about it is on this episode is the first time we've
- 37:03ever told, I'm connecting with what you're saying.
- 37:05There's power in our testimonies your testimony is powerful and
- 37:10then you're giving God, all the praise and glory.
- 37:12Before it so like moments like this, this is why I love it.
- 37:16That's something you. I love this stuff.
- 37:18I loves Revelation and power that comes from really knowing
- 37:24your place in God, his all-encompassing existence and
- 37:31presence in the world. So, everywhere fact, I was
- 37:34thinking their downs. Always been disappointed because
- 37:36I can't go to another galaxy and another planet and Looking at a
- 37:42tree and I thought the same God that created that other planet
- 37:48is made that other galaxies is in that tree, you created that
- 37:52tree. The power is holding that tree
- 37:54together, just like it's holding me together.
- 37:57If I can experience that tree, I'm already experiencing the
- 38:01same power created, the other things on other planets.
- 38:05So why should I be disappointed that I can't go there.
- 38:09I can always experienced the power.
- 38:13I don't know if that meanwhile to you but I loved it.
- 38:15All right, dude, immediately I was getting hit with the The
- 38:18Chronicles of Narnia, right? When the kids go through the
- 38:21Wardrobe and it's like there's this reality.
- 38:25That's right here, we have access to it.
- 38:28That the scripture says taste and see that the Lord is good.
- 38:32And it's all the God is beyond our wildest imagination.
- 38:39He is beyond our wildest imagination, man.
- 38:41I'm loving this. Isn't it?
- 38:44That's what it reminded me of when you're talking about, you
- 38:46know, I'm looking at this tree if, and see, I believe
- 38:48repentance it also means a change of mind.
- 38:51Yeah. Like, like, we change our minds
- 38:54to be a danger of dependence, because you can't.
- 38:58And then guidance still think. Oh man, I'm look what God's done
- 39:01to me, man. I'm all this, you're nothing,
- 39:06you are everything and nothing at the same time.
- 39:10So, interesting show important because you work.
- 39:12Created in the image of God, you are Divine creation, and you are
- 39:18without that same, God, without being in that Divinity that
- 39:21created you, you are not. You are like a drop of water on
- 39:25a dry Rock and we are caught up in his story.
- 39:30This is like you, this is his story.
- 39:32This is his creation. He had us in mind and that's the
- 39:36kind of Revelation that can change Generations.
- 39:40The reality, when we're adjusting the way, Who we are
- 39:44what is really going on in accordance with what God is
- 39:47already did. And what his plans are moving
- 39:49forward. It's a, it's a good thing, it's
- 39:51a good thing to see. You came up with the name tomato
- 39:56fields, for example, epic. I told my wife and she's like,
- 40:00what tomato feels like. She thought she didn't
- 40:03understand what was happening because we're big into
- 40:05gardening. So she thought maybe I was like,
- 40:07interviewing somebody, you know, like this gardening Channel or
- 40:10something. I'm like, no, no, no.
- 40:11And I explained to her. She's a call.
- 40:12That's really cool. You felt confident about that
- 40:15name. Uh-huh.
- 40:17Was there a moment. We were like, that's it.
- 40:19This is the name on choosing for the book.
- 40:21This book has had one thing after another.
- 40:24Other or I just felt like, that's what I should do and
- 40:28they're and or someone would come and help me out of nowhere.
- 40:31And I couldn't have done it without them, just here and
- 40:34there. And then so in this case, my
- 40:37brother saw the Bigfoot he was out working on his car and he
- 40:42smelled something funny and he was living in Mason County,
- 40:48Washington just above the Hood Canal, and he was there on the
- 40:53weekends. He just bought the Opportunity
- 40:55worked in Seattle. So he's there on the weekends.
- 40:56It was in the 90s and he was working on the backfist trailer
- 41:01at dusk and he smelled something really bad.
- 41:04He started looking around and about 70 yards up the hill on
- 41:10the wood line, by one of the big light poles, there was no houses
- 41:14at that time. It was all.
- 41:16It was all rural area and forests.
- 41:20This thing walked out and stood by the pole and saw him, and
- 41:23they saw each other. ER and JoJo's freaked.
- 41:26It was eight, it was probably nine eight and a half nine feet
- 41:29tall and just really wide and dark colored like dark brown or
- 41:33black, and it starts screaming at him.
- 41:36It was pissed off. I think it was going to get
- 41:39water and Joe got in the way. And it screamed at him, you know
- 41:44how they scream where it starts high, and then turns into a Roar
- 41:47and it's just penetrates you, he it happened to him and he ran
- 41:54for his house which was right there.
- 41:56He was close to it because of the driveway and he grabbed his
- 42:00shotgun and close the door and looked out a little window by
- 42:05the door and he's saw it stop screaming and then he thought it
- 42:10was coming after me. He thought he would start and it
- 42:14turned around and walked back into the woods and that was the
- 42:17only time he ever saw it. And he thinks he heard it, and
- 42:22the whole idea about tomato Fields, was that just up above
- 42:26beyond that a little higher up, the hill and then down, there's
- 42:30this area that they used to dump sewage in and they dumped
- 42:36sewage, they just dump the sewage out in and instead of
- 42:40putting it through sewage treatment plants back then they
- 42:44just dumped it on the ground. And I wrote this in the 70s.
- 42:48I used the 70s as a starting place.
- 42:50Age for the book and they dump sewage.
- 42:55So the sewage had human waste and human waste has seeds from
- 43:00vegetables and because that a lot of vegetables grew and there
- 43:03was a lot of tomatoes. So Joe just thought well we
- 43:07could call it tomato fields and Joe thinks that thing was headed
- 43:11in the direction of what we call the Tomato Fields.
- 43:15He thought that was a catchy title, I thought it was a catchy
- 43:18title. When I got closer to publishing
- 43:22the book I tested it with some people in every I just got good
- 43:28results from that title. So I kept it and I get people
- 43:35who like, it really like it and so I'm just hoping there's a lot
- 43:38of them. And wow, and the whole idea the
- 43:43connection between the recovery from alcoholism in the book is I
- 43:47started this 10 years ago but I never could do it because I was
- 43:52struggling with this addiction and I could focus but I couldn't
- 43:56focus enough to but once I recovered from this I felt like
- 44:03I needed to finish this because I put my hand to it.
- 44:06Now I need to finish it as part of my Covery to prove.
- 44:10I cannot just start something I can finish something.
- 44:13And so, in a way, it's a testimony to my recovery.
- 44:18So it's a multiple, there's a lot of things going on that
- 44:21brought all this together for what that's worth.
- 44:23But there's a lot involved and it's not a perfect book and I've
- 44:29made, I've had, I still have to do a little bit editing.
- 44:33Can I tell you a story about my editor?
- 44:35Yes, please. She quit like, Chapters in
- 44:40because she got mad because my characters were using gun,
- 44:44unsafely and here. And I so I had to do a lot of
- 44:50editing at the end torque by myself in order to meet
- 44:54deadlines. And so there's still a few
- 44:57little editing things that I'm cleaning up and so It's not a
- 45:02perfect book but I think for the like it generally they like it.
- 45:07Yeah. And that will be cleaned up here
- 45:09shortly. As far as a part to goes, do you
- 45:14have something napped out? Yo, yeah, it's not outlined yet.
- 45:18It's just percolating right now. Yeah, but I'm probably in the
- 45:22fall. It's a sequel.
- 45:24I wanted to be sequel. I'm going to do another one on
- 45:26recovery that I'm also working on.
- 45:29So that'll be different more like we've covered both of them.
- 45:35It'll be. Yeah, I love how this episode.
- 45:38It's just your first time here. I feel like You just laid so
- 45:43much out for us and you're just, you're humble, you're just
- 45:46unashamed. You're like, listen, God's Got
- 45:49The Power, this is the journey. I just, these are my favorite
- 45:51kind of stories, because I really feel like I'm just
- 45:53connecting with you and we never understand the ripple effect.
- 45:57That's one of my big things I talked about.
- 45:59We don't understand the ripple effect like God sees it, and he
- 46:03knows to us, it just maybe, oh, we had this conversation.
- 46:06Oh, I was on this podcast, but there could be somebody out
- 46:09there to go. Absolutely.
- 46:12Here's this interview and it's Sparks them to change their life
- 46:16and then the domino effect from there.
- 46:18And I think that's that's a wonderful mystery just to
- 46:21consider. I'll ponder on that a lot of the
- 46:24times now. Go ahead, you're getting good
- 46:27reviews on the book. I think on Amazon, you're at
- 46:31like to say close to 70 70, 70 plus reviews in this point in
- 46:35time, are you getting like feedback from from any of the
- 46:38readers on your social media site or do you?
- 46:41You have like a hub where people reach out to you like your own
- 46:43website. For example, most of the time
- 46:46I've had two or three people comment on on Instagram I've had
- 46:52people comment on Facebook. I've had friends, and people, I
- 46:56don't know, just call from out of the blue and I had one just
- 47:02yesterday who has a podcast and wants me to be on his podcast.
- 47:06But he started telling me about the book.
- 47:08He's an English major and he just likes it so much and he
- 47:12likes what it's telling us about Bigfoot and the thinks it's
- 47:15going to contribute a lot. So things like that, I could
- 47:18never make. I could never Make those six
- 47:21happened. They just are kind of
- 47:22spontaneously happening to me. So I hope that it's also why I
- 47:27think you got the right mentality for all this to keep
- 47:30happening. And I got says, if we humble
- 47:32ourselves, you know, who exalt Us in due time.
- 47:35And just so cool. And humble ourselves is Letting
- 47:39Go and not taking ourselves. So seriously when we need it and
- 47:43not trying to be perfect because none of us are perfect.
- 47:46I'm on that Journey where it's just like not, it's not trying
- 47:50to Take myself too seriously. Like I got interviewed for the
- 47:52first time like truly interviewed I've been on other
- 47:55shows I've been on other radio programs and stuff but I had on
- 47:58the guys over at days of Noah podcast, reach out a month or so
- 48:02ago and they wanted to do just an exclusive interview on my
- 48:05testimony. I'm like I'm thinking about it
- 48:07I'm like I've never told my Testament like I've told
- 48:10Snippets just in reciprocating people in the podcast or just
- 48:13things that come to mind or really feel like if I tell this
- 48:16person this snippet, they're going to have a good response
- 48:19for me or maybe Rebuke or maybe they're going to, you know, just
- 48:22something, you know, we kind of give these little pieces of of
- 48:26ourselves, we don't want to set our gems in front of swine,
- 48:30right? We want to set him in front of
- 48:31people that we feel like are going to give back value or see
- 48:35it somehow to help us possibly make sense of it.
- 48:38But that was that was interesting for me.
- 48:41And the more I go about this and just learning, really, the idea
- 48:46this show Tim is, I'm capturing the growth Journey, personally
- 48:49while promoting noting, all these other people that I find
- 48:53something like powerful or beautiful in their story, So I'm
- 48:56just kind of capturing how I'm growing and learning the
- 48:59information. I'm hearing my reactions, you
- 49:01name it and then at the same time just making friends.
- 49:04Just you just documenting the process.
- 49:07You know what and you're saying. Stuff here tonight I'll have
- 49:10your podcasts. Yeah, that's a little bit
- 49:14coolest. You know, man.
- 49:18That's a funny one. Because I had a podcast before
- 49:22this not of this world. Hmm.
- 49:24And I remember when God gave me the millennial Mustard Seed.
- 49:28It's a mouthful man, people have trouble saying it.
- 49:31I'm like in the beginning, I'm laughing my God.
- 49:35I don't want to name it something else, you know and
- 49:37he's just I just was feeling his gut.
- 49:39Yeah, pulling just absolutely not.
- 49:43Don't even consider a kid. Almost like something like, like
- 49:46Stern old man, is over my shoulder.
- 49:48Just like it, don't erase that off the paper.
- 49:50That's just a feeling I got. It was so strange, but like I
- 49:54also knew God had a sense of humor, and I just went with it
- 49:57and it's funny. Now, it kind of fits in.
- 50:00In this weird, it's a very Niche audience, I'm a small fry, don't
- 50:03have a huge audience, Audience. Some of these guys out there,
- 50:07they're getting hundreds of thousands downloads.
- 50:08I just I'm like listen and a small Niche audience who
- 50:12believes in God who's willing to Journey with me is more
- 50:15important than just the masses. You know, that was my what God
- 50:19kept me in that reality check. So you got to start somewhere,
- 50:22right? Yeah, absolutely.
- 50:25So this is always encouraging hearing hearing all these these
- 50:30awesome stories but Tim, I really want to have you back in
